Chapter 5: Outsider and Friend. (1/4)

Ellie Williams:

Ellie was not in a good place. Jackson was burned to the ground, and nearly everyone that she knew was most likely dead. Now, they were all stranded. But that wasn't the worst part of all.

Joel was dead.

This is the best we can do for him... Ellie thought painfully as she stared at an improvised grave that he made for him.

After driving for nearly two days without stopping, they finally decided to stop to find a spot to rest and bury Joel. The place they found was under a tree next to a small river.

Ellie was sitting in front of it, hugging her knees while sobbing quietly. They would have to leave soon, so she had to make the most of it because the chances of them going back there was minimal.

Fuck... Fuck... How could this happen... Ellie thought as she stared at the makeshift grave that they made for him. It looked like shit, but that was the best they could do.

Ellie just rubbed her eyes, she had no more tears in them to cry. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to stand up. She has been sitting there for hours, so it was time to head back. Slowly, she made her way back to their camp. The snow was calm and peaceful in comparison to what it was like back in Jackson. How long has it been? A few days? A week? I don't even know anymore... In truth, they had to stay in that area for a while to give time for their injuries to heal and to try to gather some supplies. A few days passed by, but she didn't know if it had been a week or not.

Step by step, Ellie inspected her surroundings. The area has been clear so far, but that could easily change. She had a revolver on her holster in case, Joel's revolver.

It only took a short walk for him to arrive at her destination. An old cabin in the woods. They found it by pure accident and luckily, it was empty. Not literally, there was the corpse of a elderly man that had been dead for a while inside. Jesse dragged the body away and buried it somewhere.

The cabin was a two floor house that was in pretty good condition, indicating that the late owner had a lot of love and care for the property.

Upon reaching the entrance, Ellie let out a sight. Why the fuck is he doing that here? The reason why Ellie sighed, was because the Albino Weirdo was sitting down at the entrance, gutting a Raccoon with a Tommy's hunting knife. And that's our fucking dinner... Ellie thought in disgust as she watched the boy wearing a mask, pulling out the insides of the small animal and placing it on the floor. His coat was off, so he was only his olive green wool sweater with the sleeves rolled up. Showcasing his hairless pale forearms, which were filled with slash marks.

Once he did, he noticed Ellie and did what he always does. "Hi Ellie." Which was waving happily at her. But the fact that he was doing that with a hand covered in blood, just made him look even creepier. So she just ignored him and moved her head to look at what was besides him. Which was a bow that was on top of his duffle coat.

"Where did you get that?" Ellie asked because she doesn't remember seeing that before.

"In the woods." He was referring to the dead Raccoon.

"I meant the bow." She clarified, annoyed because she was really tired of having to clarify every single word she ever speaks to that Albino Weirdo.

"I made it." Fox Boy informed her. Looking closely, she could actually see that it was simply a bunch of sticks tied together.

Our ammunition is kind of low, so this will save us some trouble later. Ellie thought as she saw the arrows right next to the bow. "Where is everyone else?" She asked him.

"Tommy is inside the cabin, Jesse and Dina went to check for materials and I don't know where Maria is." He bluntly answered her as he picked another dead Raccoon.

Wanting to avoid watching him gut the dead raccoon, Ellie moved her head away and proceeded to move towards the front door. The cabin was pretty decorated on the inside, with the walls having several family photos on it, several lamps and vases and even some stuffed animals. The first room that you encountered after passing through the door was the living room that had an old tv, two couches with a table in the middle of them. Which was where Tommy was sitting down.

Ellie took off her coat and approached him, noticing that he was actually cleaning their handguns. "Should you be doing that?" She asked, since his injuries aren't fully healed.

"I need to be doing something, Ellie." Tommy spoke as he focused on the task. Clearly using it as a way to distract himself.

Ellie watches it as Tommy cleans up Fox Boy's gun. "Where's Maria?" She asked.

"She said she was going to check on something," Tommy dismantled the gun slowly. "I told her to wait for someone to come back but she went anyway." He was clearly frustrated with the fact that Maria went alone to check on whatever she wanted to check. "We can't take risks like this anymore."

"It will be okay, the area is secure." Ellie tried to reassure him, but she definitely agreed with what he said.

"That's what we thought the day before we got attacked." Tommy sadly reminded her while he focused on cleaning the handgun.

Ellie sighed. "Tommy..."

She saw his face changing for a second. He placed the dismantled handgun down and touched his face in deep sorrow. "My god... How could that happen?" It wasn't really a question. "Everything we built, destroyed like it was nothing." It felt like Tommy wanted to cry, but he didn't have tears anymore. My brother..." That was the worst part.

Ellie moved towards and immediately grabbed him into a hug. Silently, she comforted him, despite being just as sad as he was. The two remained like that for a bit, until they heard the door opening. Moving their heads they realized that it was the Albino Weirdo. Carrying the skinless carcasses of the dead raccoons. He moved slowly towards the kitchen with his usual robotic walk.

"Hey." But before he reached the door, Tommy called him. He moved his head to look at him, giving them the sight of his creepy mask. "I have to ask, isn't this gun a little too big for you?" He asked the masked boy while pointing at Fox Boy's handgun. The question was justified because that was a huge pistol, being almost as large as a Desert Eagle and the fact that Fox Boy was practically the smallest person there only made it more mind boggling.

"Yes, it's heavy and hard to use." Fox Boy bluntly confirmed. " This excess was largely due to its role as an offensive handgun, which is basically a primary weapon used in place of a rifle or submachine gun, rather than a secondary or fallback weapon to complement a long gun as most handguns are." After answering his question with a completely unnecessary explanation, he just turned around and moved towards the kitchen, without bothering to actually wait for Tommy to speak again.

Seeing that, caused Ellie to finally ask Tommy the question that she has been meaning to ask for a while. "Tommy, why the hell is he still with us?" Ellie asked as she honestly thinks they should have left him already.

Tommy sighed and rubbed his eyes before putting the pistol down. "Listen, I don't like it either..." He admitted to her while pointing at the arm that Fox Boy injured. "But whether we like it or not, we need that kid."

"No, we don't." Ellie was quick to counter his argument. "We can take care of ourselves."

"Yes, we can take care of ourselves so well." Tommy spoke sarcastically while pointing at his injuries, which were actually tended by Fox Boy.

"You know what I mean." She replied while folding her arms. Thankfully, her forearm and shoulder don't hurt much anymore.

"And you know what I mean." That was his reply. "Listen, I'm going to do whatever Maria thinks it's best and she thinks we should keep the kid around, at least for now." Tommy returned to his task of cleaning up the guns. "So, go speak to her about it if you like."

She took that as a sign that Tommy wanted to be alone for a bit, so Ellie took the hint and decided to leave him be. Everything is just... The girl was very frustrated with everything right now. Besides Joel's death, there was also a certain dreadfulness that was surrounding them over what happened to Jackson, precisely due to the possibility of the Normandies coming after them.

The possibility passed through her mind as she made her way to climb the stairs. A part of her feared that possibility while another hoped for it to happen. I stabbed him in the heart with your sword. The words that she heard Fox Boy say continued to pass through her mind. So was the image of the man called Reaper, with Ellie touching her shoulder due a pain that comes around every time she thinks about him.

Upon reaching the second floor, Ellie entered the first door on her left, which was the room where she and Dina were staying. It was apparently a guest room, since there was nothing inside but a drawer and a bed. Which was good enough for them.

She approached the bed and slowly took off her clothes. She was wearing weathered blue denim jeans, a long-sleeve faded blue work shirt , a white T-shirt and sneakers. Thankfully, Dina has brought the clothes that she left in her home last time she slept there. Once she took off her top and bottom, it revealed that she was wearing a white sports bra and beige panties as underwear. Then she untied her hair and laid on top of the bed, covering herself with the blanket. In truth, she was exhausted because she hasn't been able to sleep. The few times that sleep came, it was accompanied by horrible nightmares, usually involving the one called Ghost Head stabbing Joel.

But she was so tired that she decided to take the risk of having another nightmare just to have some shut-eye. The house was warm enough and the bed was okay, so it was as good a time as any to try.

Fox Boy:

"Here's for you, Nicola and Bart." Fox Boy sang as he chops the Raccoon in pieces to cook properly. " Rest forever here in my heart.." He precisely chops each piece with a cleaver. " Your last and final moment was mine." He noticed that someone had entered the kitchen, but he recognized who it was by the smell. "That agony is unforgettable." Suddenly, his singing was interrupted when someone grabbed him from behind.

"Hey, Cute Boy." The one was Dina, who just hugged him from behind.

The masked boy smiled and said. "Hi Dina." He happily greeted her while waving with his still bloody hand. Then he noticed that Jesse was there as well. "Hi Jesse." With him waving happily at him.

"Hey." He greeted him back. "We got the stuff you asked for."

"Can you really make more gasoline from that?" Dina asked as she let go of him.

"Yes." Fox Boy bluntly replied as he continued to chop the meat. Producing fuel was actually quite the simple process if you have the right equipment.

"Did Ellie come back yet?" Jesse asked him.

"Yes." He bluntly replied.

"I think she's sleeping upstairs." Jesse theorized.

"She hadn't had a full night of sleep since what happened." Dina pointed in concern.

"Did any of us?" Jesse asked her.

"Tommy did, but it was due to a side effect of the painkillers he took." Fox Boy answered his question as he finished.

"Not exactly what I meant." Jesse replied.

Fox Boy then placed the pieces of meat inside of the sink, before turning around. "I'm done." He informed them.

"Leave it there, Maria and I will take care of the rest." Dina told him, before she watched his bloody hands. "And go wash your hands."

Fox Boy didn't answer, he just turned around and turned the sink on. When the water came out of it, he washed his hands, but Jesse and Dina seemed surprised.

"Wait, how the hell is the water working?!" Jesse asked since it wasn't when they got there.

"Maria asked me to see if I could fix the water pump." Fox Boy responded as he continued to wash the blood off his hands.

"Did you?!" Dina asked him in surprise.

"Yes." He bluntly replied as he finished washing the blood off his hands.

"Why the hell didn't you say anything?!" Jesse asked him, he seemed to be mad at him.

"You didn't ask." He responded while bending his head slightly to the right in confusion.

Jesse was about to say something else, but Dina just touched his shoulder and shaked her head. "Where did you learn to fix things so well?" So far, Fox Boy had managed to fix the house's generator as well, which allowed them to have some electricity.

"Jester taught me." The mere mention of that name made Dina uncomfortable. "He ordered me to repair smaller equipment from time to time." Usually things that weren't high priority.

"Like what, exactly?" Jesse asked him.

"The unmanned aerial vehicles for example." Fox Boy pointed out, despite the fact that he had a deep dislike of working on them.

"The what?" Dina didn't seem to understand.

" It's an aircraft without any human pilot, crew, or passengers on board." Fox Boy explained to the pretty girl.

The two of them seemed visibly surprised by the revelation. "Fucking hell, how they can possibly have access to these kind of things?" Jesse asked him.

"When we were under the process of releasing a hydrogen bomb in Moscow, we were able to get our hands on the equipment from a former spy that worked for the Komitet Gosudarstvennoi Bezopasnosti ." Fox Boy explained, though it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience since the man actually tortured Fox Boy, removing some of his toes.

"W-wait..." Dina seemed distraught with something. "Why would you release a bomb in Moscow?"

"A Russian scientist was trying to come up with a cure for the Cordyceps brain infection , but instead, he ended up creating a worse version of it." Saying that, made Jesse and Dina wide their eyes for some reason. "After a leakage occurred, the Supreme Leader ordered us to destroy the entire city, so Ghost Head ordered the launching of a hydrogen bomb."

"W-worse version of the Cordyceps ?" That was Dina's question.

"The doctor was able to discover specific individuals that were bitten by an infected person but didn't succumb to the infection." He revealed it to them, clearly surprising Dina and Jesse with that revelation. "He performed several experiments on them to try to replicate whatever allowed them to survive into something that others could use."

"Holy shit..." Dina cursed in response.

"However, the end result was an infection that resulted in stronger, faster and more durable versions of them than the normal ones."
Fox Boy actually had to deal with one of them and it was much worse than dealing with a stage four infected. "So the whole city needed to be obliterated in order to prevent them from creating more." The masked boy actually remembers the explosion, it was incredibly large and it created an unbelievable level of destruction. Fortunately, it was successful as the only infected that actually survived were the ones that Venus took.

Dina touched her face and Jesse just scratched his head while pacing around the room. Then the pretty girl sighed and said. "Since the water is on, I'm gonna see if I can take a shower.'" Dina told them.

"Alright." Jesse replied as he moved towards the door that led to the living room. "I'm gonna see if Tommy wants help with cleaning the guns."

With that, Fox Boy moved towards the back door of the house. "Where are you going? Dina asked him.

"I wanna finish my snowman." Fox Boy informed her.

She raised a brow and asked. "Your what?" Fox Boy then pointed at the window that was above the sink, where they could see a snowman standing there. Causing Dina to giggle in response. "Wait? When did you do that?" She asked him.

"Right after you and Jesse left." Fox Boy responded happily, but it was unfinished.

Dina then approached the window to see it closely. "You did a great job."

"Thank you." Fox Boy thanked her before he moved towards the back door.

"Wait." She ordered him.

"Yes?" Fox Boy turned around to look at her.

"Take off your sweater." Dina instructed him.

"Why?" Fox Boy asked.

"I wanna check on the cuts." She approached him. "Arms up." He obeyed and lifted his arms up, with Dina gently lifting his sweater up "Ouch..." Once his sweater was off, Dina inspected the bandages that were wrapped around his chest. "Wait, you didn't change the bandages?!"

"No." He should have changed them yesterday.

"Why the hell not?!" Dina seemed to be mad at him for some reason.

"I used the last one on Tommy's arm yesterday." He still felt bad for slicing his arm with his sword.

"Oh shit, we're out of bandages?" Dina asked him.

"Yes." And Fox Boy answered.

"Fuck..." Dina rubbed her eyes for a bit, before she grabbed his hand. "Come on."

"Where are we going?" The albino boy asked.

"I'm gonna see if I can wash them to reutilize." Dina explained as she gently pulled him with her right hand while holding his sweater with her left hand.

Both Fox Boy and Dina then entered the living room where Tommy and Jesse were sitting on the couch. Jesse was cleaning Ellie's Beretta 92FS while Tommy was reassembling Fox Boy's Mark 23.

"What is it?" Jesse asked.

"We're out of bandages." Dina warned him. "I'm gonna see if I can wash these." She points at the ones on Fox Boy's torso.

"I don't think those can be washed." Jesse pointed out.

"I'm gonna try, he needs to change those bandages." Dina replied. "Come on." She continued to pull him towards the stairs.

Tommy and Jesse look at the two of them with strange looking faces as Fox Boy and Dina climb the stairs. Dina was having a bit of difficulty because of her leg, but not as much as she had the first time. Once they reached the top, Dina let go of Fox Boy's hand for a second in order to inspect the first door on the left. Opening a small gap, she took a look inside, where a sleeping Ellie could be seen on the bed.

Dina sighed before closing the door. "I hope she doesn't have a nightmare." She commented.

"I have nightmares every night, but I can't remember them." Fox Boy revealed it to her. "I only manage to remember the ones about my brother."

Dina moved her head back and asked. "What was your brother like?"

Fox Boy responded by reaching inside of his extra pocket on his cargo pants and pulling out something. A photograph.

"That's your brother?!" Dina reacted to that.

The photo showcased a handsome young man with fair skin, medium length wavy light blonde hair, bright blue eyes and chiseled features. He was tall, broad shouldered and was clearly in excellent physical shape. He was wearing black sheepskin leather coat, blue assault pants, combat boots and leather fingerless gloves. The photo showcased him sitting on a dining table that was filled with candles , with his Walther P38 in his hand.

"Wait, what hell is going on in this photo?" Dina asked while giving him a strange look.

The photo also showcased a thin and pale looking girl with very short brown hair sitting beside him. She was wearing a purple hoodie, red jeans, and white sneakers. The most noticeable thing about her was the fact that she had bruises on her face.

"Wait, is that you?" Dina asked and he nodded.

The last person in the photo was a little kid wearing an orange parka with the hood completely covering his face, orange pants and brown gloves . The photo showed him sleeping peacefully with his head resting on the girl's arm.

"It was taken on the day that we joined the Normandies." Fox Boy revealed it to her. Reaper said that the only reason we were taken in, was because his brother managed to kill ten Faceless with his bowie knife.

"Who is this girl?" Dina asked him in curiosity.

"My brother's girlfriend.'' The albino boy replied.

Dina then signalled him to follow her towards the bathroom, which was the first door on the right. "What were their names?" Once they entered the bathroom, Dina asked him that.

"My brother's name was Wolfgang and his girlfriend's name was Misery." Saying their names made Fox Boy sad.

"Wolfgang and Misery?" Dina seemed to have a problem with the names. "Those are odd names." She pointed out as she proceeded to undo the bandages on his torso. Slowly, so she could try to keep them as intact as possible.

"Really?" Fox Boy doesn't understand what is odd about the names. "I like the names."

"Wolfgang and Fox Boy, now that's an interesting mix." Dina said with a smile as she unwrapped the bandages.

Once Dina took off the bandages that were wrapped around Fox Boy, she took a step back and cringed at the sight. Moving his head to the left, Fox Boy stared at a mirror that was right above the bathroom sink and managed to take a good look at his torso.

"Do you know what it is?" Dina asked him.

The cuts that Venus made on his torso were all circular slices that resembled some type of cyclone. Though, Fox Boy didn't know if this represented something or... "Oh," He just remembered what it was. "I see."

"What is it?" Dina asked in curiosity.

"There was a cyclone happening on the day Wolfgang, Misery and I joined the Normandies." The albino boy didn't see it, but he imagined it to be just like the one that was carved on his chest. "We were staying in a town that was right next to the ocean, so we had to escape when it started."

"Holy shit..." Dina seemed surprised with that. She then proceeded to wash the bandages.

"How is your leg?" The shirtless boy asked as he watched Dina wash the bandages on the bathroom sink.

"Better, I'm almost walking properly again .'" She told him as she gently scrubbed the bandages.

"That's good, the bullet didn't hit any joint or artery, so the damage wasn't considerable." Though, the damage would have been worse if the caliber was larger.

"And I'm grateful for that." Dina smiled as she looked at him through the mirror.

Fox Boy smiled back but it wasn't visible due to the mask.

Then Dina made a serious expression and asked. "How is your back?" She asked.

Turning around, Fox Boy used the mirror to predict the damage on his back that was caused by being slammed into a windshield by Ghost Head. There was a massive bruise that practically covered his entire back, with an incredibly ugly looking lesion that clearly made Dina cringe. "No damage to my spinal cord, but there is definitely the possibility of-" Fox Boy was about to explain his injury, but Dina interrupted him.

"I'm asking how it feels?" That was her concern.

"Oh." Fox Boy turned around and responded. "It hurts a lot." And he bluntly responded.

"We have some painkillers that you can take, you don't have to suck up the pain." Dina pointed out to him, as she actually did try to offer him some, but he refused.

"No thanks." And he refused once again. "Painkillers dull the senses." And he really needs his senses to fight .

"We're safe now, it's okay to dull them." Dina assured him.

"Safety is an illusion, danger lurks at every corner." Reaper told him that when he taught him about the importance of being in constant alert.

Dina looked at him with a sad face. "Yeah..." The pretty girl seemed to have agreed with him.

For the next minute or two, the two of them remained in complete silence. Fox Boy simply stood there , looking at Dina as she washed his bandages. After three minutes passed Dina looked at the mirror and asked. "Are you staring at my butt again?"

"No." Fox Boy replied. But then he accidentally moved his head down to look. "Yes." Then he moved his head up to look at her face. "Sorry."

Dina giggled. "I'm just joking, I know you weren't really looking." She held the wet bandages and squeezed them.

"Shit!" Before any of the two could say anything else. They heard Tommy's voice. "What happened?!"

Fox Boy and Dina looked at one another before Dina rushed out of the room right away with Fox Boy following behind her.

"Tommy, I'm okay." They heard Maria's voice as they descended down stairs.

Once they reached the living room. They saw that Maria had blood on her ,but Fox Boy could tell that it wasn't hers.

"What happened?!" Dina asked in concern.

Maria sighed as she removed her now bloody coat. "I drove the car around for a bit to test that fuel that Fox Boy made."

"Did it cause any malfunction?" Fox Boy asked. Then Jesse and Tommy moved their heads and cringed at the sight of his torso.

"N-no..." Maria had the same reaction. "But driving the car attracted some unwanted attention." She proceeded to wipe the blood off her face with a piece of cloth that Jesse handed to her.

"Infected or survivors?" Fox Boy asked as the blood on her indicated a fight .

"Survivors," Maria responded as she finished cleaning her face. "They thought I was unarmed, so I surprised them with the assault rifle." She held the SIG SG 550 up, before handing it to Jesse. "I managed to hit one of them, but I don't think I managed to kill him."

"How many?" Tommy asked in worry.

"Two, but from what I heard, there are more of them." Maria explained as she went to a corner to remove her blood stained shirt.

"We're armed and ready, we can take them if we need to." Tommy pointed out as he grabbed a clean shirt and moved to hand it to Maria.

As the married couple stayed in the corner. Jesse moved his head to look at Fox Boy, before sighing and saying. "Can you please put your sweater back on?" He asked Fox Boy.

Fox Boy decided to obey and attempted to put the sweater back on. Only to be stopped by Dina. "Wait a second, the bandages aren't dry yet."

"So?" Jesse asked her.

"So... It's not good for him to place anything over the injury with no bandages on." It's true, the cuts weren't fully healed yet and the wool of his sweater could irritate the wound.

"He can't just walk around shirtless." Jesse pointed out.

"The house is warm enough, so there isn't much of a problem. " Dina was quick to rebuff.

"Ummm... actually..." Jesse started to highlight his torso for some reason.

Doing that however, caused Dina to frown. "Are you fucking kidding me, Jesse?!"

Fox Boy was a little confused, not understanding why Dina was mad.

"Don't pretend that it doesn't bother you too. " Jesse replied while folding his arms.

"Yes, it does." Fox Boy really didn't understand what exactly they were talking about. "But for completely different reasons."

Despite being clueless of what was going on, Fox Boy decided to ask. "Should I put my sweater back on?"

"Yes."

"No"

Dina and Jesse spoke at the same time, before looking at each other with a frown on their faces.

"Just go to the kitchen for a bit." Dina ordered him.

Wordlessly, Fox Boy moved towards the kitchen, leaving the rest of the group by themselves. Upon entering, Fox Boy felt a little thirsty, so he decided to move towards one of the cabinets in the kitchen and grabbed a glass cup. Filling it with water from the sink and drinking the tap water right away.

But the moment he swallowed the water, Fox Boy noticed that someone had entered the kitchen. With the albino boy realizing right away that it wasn't Dina,Jesse,Tommy, Maria or Ellie. The door opened in a slow and quiet manner, with the person that just came having a very distinctive smell. Taking a deep breath, Fox Boy prepared to counter the intruder's attempt of stealthily taking him down.

"Hey, Cute B-" However, his plan was interrupted when Dina actually entered the kitchen. Forcing Fox Boy to turn around and see that the intruder has pulled out a CZ 100. But before he could take aim, Fox Boy closed the distance and grabbed the handgun, with the intruder pulling the trigger and nearly shooting Dina, missing her by five inches. As the intruder attempts to pull the gun away from his grip, Fox Boy reaches for the magazine release button and unloaded the gun with the magazine falling on the floor. Then he headbutted him on the cheek, which caused considerable damage thanks to the mask, before he pulled the handgun off his hands, tossing it on the floor alongside the magazine.

The intruder then attempted to punch Fox Boy with a right haymaker. Fox Boy countered the attack by grabbing his arm and using the momentum to place him in a hammerlock, where he applied overwhelming pressure as soon as the hold was tight. "AAAAHHH!" Resulting in a full dislocation of his shoulder joint.

Jesse, Maria and Tommy entered the kitchen and saw the intruder.

The albino boy then striked the back of his head with his elbow, causing him to fall on the floor completely disoriented. The intruder was a young man around his early twenties. He was wearing a cap with a logo on it, a brown jacket, gray cargo pants and brown combat boots. "AHHHH! FUCK!" He grabbed his arm in pain and continued to scream in pain as soon as he regained his senses.

"Shit, are you okay?" Dina rushed towards Fox Boy and inspected him.

"Yes." The shirtless boy assured her.

The intruder attempted to stand up and run, but before he could, Jesse pointed SIG SG 552 at him. "Don't even think about it." He warned him as he pointed the assault rifle at him.

"Is this one of them?" Tommy asked Maria as he leaned on her for support.

"Yes." Maria confirmed while folding her arms. "Jordan, isn't it?" Presumably, Jordan was his name.

"Ahhh..." He continued to grunt in pain while on his knees. "Fuck you!"

"How did he catch up to you so quickly?" Jesse asked in curiosity.

"I had to make a lot of turns, so it probably gave him enough time t-" As Maria was presenting a theory of how he was able to catch up to her so quickly. Someone else bursted through the backdoor.

"Get away from him!" It was a girl with a brown ponytail, around the same age as Jordan. She was wearing a black puffy vest with a black under hoodie, brown cargo pants and brown hiking boots. She had a Ruger SR9 on her right hand, while her left hand was pressing against a gun wound that was on the lower left part of her torso.

"Fuck! I told you to stay outside, Leah!" Jordan yelled at the girl.

"Put the gun down." Jesse aimed the assault rifle at her and ordered her calmly. "You're hurt and outnumbered." He tried to argue with her.

"No." The girl, who's name was apparently Leah, refused to comply.

"Just do what they say before you get yourself killed!" Jordan yelled at her.

"I..." Leah was about to reply, but suddenly, she stumbled a bit to the left and collided with the wall.

"You lost too much blood." Maria pointed out to the girl. "I'm sorry for shooting you, but you need to put the gun down before things get worse for you." She was clearly concerned for the girl that she shot.

"No..." But despite being in no condition to fight, she continued to try to push it. Approaching the group that was surrounding Jordan with the gun at hand.

"Leah, please stop!" Jordan pleaded with her as he was visibly worried about her well-being.

"I go-" Before Leah could reply to Jordan, she passed by that gap that leads to the living room, where Ellie emerged in her underwear. "AAAAHHHH!" Before the redhead girl stabbed Leah in the arm with her switchblade. Leah instantly dropped the handgun and fell on her knees in pain, just like Jordan.

Once both intruders were incapacitated, Ellie only had one question for everyone.

"What the fuck is going on here?!"

Q and A:

Continue, pls!

Sure thing!

Really good

Thanks

Well the one random thought in my head will be that since this story has MC paired with Ellie And Dina it would mean the immunity has a chance of spreading consensually in the future

It already has, just on different places.

Hi. I have to say I love this story. It is so hard nowadays to find good writhing. And this story is really good. So i implore you to continue this story.

Of course!

I was not expecting to find a story as interesting as this i had to binge all 16 chapters can't wait for more

Hearing that makes me really happy.

Continue to love how just unfazed Fox Boy is by everything around him and yeah I'll admit had a small glimmer of hope when Joel's body wasn't their to great Fox when he woke up

Also nice of Reaper to take the last memento of Fox Boys shitty brother and leave him his own gun

Can picture Reaper destroying the gun he took to

Yep Dina won the debate with Ellie over Fox Boys ability to survive

Love Fox Boy wiping out the Faceless even in his current state even more impressive is him getting them all away from Ghost Head in his state

Also yeah finding Joel was in the trunk of the car hit the feels to

Now can I just please ask that Ellie don't go laying Joel's death at the feet of Fox Boy

With Fox Boys brother can it be a case of he was only ever able to be verbally abusive something that would just roll off Fox Boy really and whenever he tried to be physically abusive well it didn't end well for him say Fox Boy had a standing order from Reaper that if his brother ever tried anything Fox Boy was to beat the shit out of him

Leaving the brother to grow even angrier over his lack of ability to really hurt Fox Boy

So yeah like to think the brother tried to flee due to immense feelings of inadequacy compared to his younger brother, jealousy over the fact Fox Boy was part of the masked ones cabal and like I said just knowing his time in the Normandies was limited

Also when Ghost Head killed his brother I hope Fox Boys reaction was a bit sad but not so much because his brother died more so it was a case of he felt like he should be sadder over his brother dying but the amount of sadness he was feeling didn't seem all that much and that in itself made him a bit more sad

Like Fox Boy could reflect on the fact he felt more connected to his fellow masked ones than he ever did with his brother

He already saw much worse, so he's pretty desynthesized with everything in regards to the Normandies.

Fun Fact: Fox Boy's new gun (Heckler & Koch Mark 23) is the same gun that Solid Snake used in Metal Gear Solid 1 and Raiden used in Metal Gear Solid 2.

That Walther P38 is a a representation of Fox Boy's brother. (Someone that was useful at one point but now there's just better alternatives around.) While the Mark 23 is a perfect representation of Fox Boy. (Someone that keeps going despite all that you put him through.)

Dina will win a lot of arguments on that regard.

Sadly, all that damage will take a toll on him eventually. (Though, that might be a good thing since he gets to be taken cared of.)

Reaper thought that he deserved to be buried by the ones he loved.

Nah, she might use Fox Boy later for revenge, but she holds no grudge against him

Nope, Fox Boy's brother was physically abusive towards him before he put on that mask. (He was mostly protected by his brother's girlfriend, who took most of the psychical abuse.)

Actually, he hurt him plenty.

Not exactly, his time in the Normandies ended because he wanted out and he paid the price for it. (Think of Fox Boy's brother as Liquid Snake in the Phantom Pain, that was his behavior in regards of his position in the Normandies.)

Fox Boy was way more sad with his brother's girlfriend's death.

Actually, he was more connected with his brother's girlfriend than anyone else. (She was the one that actually acted as a big sister to him.)

DD chapter 16 . Mar 26

Ha!

Solid Snake's handgun.

Sam Fisher's assault rifle

The Courier's revolver.

Awesome references!

Yup.

Heckler & Koch Mark 23 = SOCOM pistol.

FN F2000 = SC-20K M.A.W.S.

But, where the hell is the Courier's revolver, I don't remember using a BFR in Fallout New Vegas.

Genial

Gracias!

They escaped Jackson, any other survivors is unconfirmed at the current time. There Fox Boy, Ellie, Dina, Jesse, Maria and Tommy are all that's left. They have to bury Joel, and they have to get a move on. The Normandies might still be after them. There's still the matter of Abby and her crew finding what's left of Jackson to consider. That is if they don't run to the group first that is.

Ellie and Tommy will want pay back for Joel's death, but they don't have an army and they just lost their home.

Does the group have the tapes and stuff that Fox Boy had when he was taken prisoner in Jackston?

The point about the group joining the W.L.F is because the chances are the Normandies might hit them next. Seattle is larger than Jackson, therefore the Normandies would have to spread their forces more thinner there. Much better chance of eliminating the Normandies' leadership. There is also the Normandies dealing with the Seraphites. While the Normandies more than a march for both, it does thin out their forces and they will suffer causalities.

Abby's crew has a camera therefore they can picture that devastation in Jackson. The fact that Fox Boy, Ellie, Dina, Jesse, Maria and Tommy survived that shows that they are capable when Isaac looks at the pictures that Abby's crew is likely to take. Should be enough to persuade Isaac Dixon to consider them assets for war. Joel is dead so Abby and her crew have little to no reason to be hostile with the group. The group has no reason to know that Abby and her crew were there to kill Joel anyway. Owen might point out that the Normandies might hit Seattle next, and it'd be important to know whatever they can about the Normandies.

Here's a picture of the ending, Fox Boy working at a field in a farm somewhere, with Jesse perhaps and then he looks up at his house and sees Dina holding JJ, and a pregnant Ellie standing next to her.

The others who made it out won't last long.

They're more worried about survival, only after the masked ones reappear that they will begin to think about that.

Tommy has them.

Reaper has plans for Seattle, but those plans are more Fox Boy than about the Normandies.

Let's just say... When the meeting between the two groups occurs, it will not be pretty. (What Fox Boy did to Jordan and what Ellie did with Leah is already a perfect example of that.)

That's an interesting picture. Unfortunately, Fox Boy may not even be capable of working on a field by the end of the game.

That's the end of Chapter 1 of the story, starting something new. In the middle of the chapter, thrilling at the end of the chapter, causing a lot of tears The action scenes are very well told. We will have to see what the next chapter will be like?
-Wonder what Dina's group will do next, Ellie and Tommy? May only be interested in getting revenge for Joel. without caring about anything else
-Aside from the group of protagonists, are there any survivors within Jackson?
-Ghost Head will resent a Reaper interrupting his chase game.
-Hopefully there will be some chapters that are more relaxed. The situation has been tense for many chapters.
If we didn't meet today good afternoon good evening and good ning too

They are more worried about survival now, when the Masked Ones reappear, then that will happen.

Very few and they won't last long.

Ghost Head follows Reaper orders and no one else's.

Pretty much.

Same.
