Hello one and All! I just want to thank AAASoftware Media and Airsoft Al for doing a review of this story. For now let's get some Q &A's.
Gamelover41592: Yeah, it would have been easier, to tell the truth than Hermione taking the blame.
Mezentsevmichael: Not yet. But do get them prepared.
Sm0keyPanda: Yes, Luci is a good father. Just as Lilith is a good mother.
Anyway, let's dive right into hell!
Chapter 8
Quidditch
Today was a big day for Harry as it was the first Quidditch match of the season. Dressed in scarlet red and gold Quidditch robes, the Gryffindor team was following Oliver Wood through the towers of the Quidditch pitch. While Harry knew of himself, Wood, and the Weasley twins as the Seeker, Keeper, and Beaters, the Chasers of the team were Katie Bell, Angelina Johnson, and Alicia Spinnet.
Harry swallowed a large chunk of saliva with an audible gulp, getting the attention of his captain. "Scared, Harry," Oliver asked the new member of the Quidditch team.
"No, just nervous," Harry corrected him. "My folks are visiting to watch me play."
"Must really care about you to not want to miss your first ever match," Wood said as he was sorta impressed. "But don't worry, I was nervous about my first game too."
"What happened?" Harry asked out of curiosity.
"I, uh, don't really remember," Wood admitted. "I took a Bludger to the head two minutes in. The next thing I knew I was in the hospital a week later," he said, which made the young Gryffindor look more nervous than before. "Don't worry, it won't happen to you. You got what it takes."
This made Harry a little more at ease. Being hit with an enchanted ball wouldn't be the worst thing to happen to him. He faced way scarier things when still at home, such as when his father needed to vent his frustration on the locals or when Charlie was in a 'mood'. However, it wouldn't be like the latter as chocolate wouldn't stop a rock to the face. His thoughts were interrupted when the gates in front of them opened up. Quickly, Harry and the others got on their brooms and took off in the air.
Many students were cheering as the players were flying around the towers. As he soared over them and saw Hagrid with his friends in the Gryffindor stands, Harry couldn't see his parents or Charlie. He wondered if they couldn't make it at all because something came up. Soon, he watched as a flame roared above them and took the form of a large lion. "Wow. You really go all out. That's an impressive display," Harry told Oliver, who was staring wide-eyed at the fiery lion.
"That's not ours," Wood warned. Suddenly, the burning king of beasts lunged at the pitch. "Out of the way!" At Wood's call, the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams flew away in a scramble as the lion ran through the air, surprising everyone in the stands.
As it circled the area, the giant cat focused its gaze on Dumbledore and pounced. Every teacher was ready to cast a spell, but the flames soon warped and took the shape of something else. Shrinking in size, three burning figures emerged from the beastly fire before the flames were snuffed out, revealing the Morningstar Family all sitting next to the Headmaster. Lucifer didn't even bother to change his appearance or outfit except for replacing his hat with a Gryffindor scarf. Charlie was wearing her normal attire of a fancy suit and a scarf instead of a bowtie. As for Lilith, she was wearing the dress she commissioned at Madam Malkin's in Diagon Alley, scarlet lipstick, and her hair magically shining like gold itself.
With the dramatic entrance finished, Dumbledore chuckled lightly at the trio that arrived. "You always were one for making an entrance," Albus told Lucifer, making the professors all calm down.
"Oh come now, Albus. When have I ever made a non-dramatic entrance," Lucifer laughed as he looked at the field. "And what better way than to support my son's team?"
"I'd say an actual lion, but I don't think we could have gotten one on short notice," Charlie said with a bubbly laugh. She then looked on the field and spotted Harry as she waved to him. "Hi, Harry," she called out.
"At least we're in time to see his game at the very start," Lilith remarked as she took a seat next to Minerva McGonagall. "Hello there," the queen of Hell politely greeted, getting a silent response from the Head of Gryffindor House.
Waving to his sister and parents, Harry and the other players soon started flying back to the field. "Should have known they'd do that sort of thing," Harry remarked as the twins flanked him.
"That's the second time your sister's done something like that," Fred stated.
"Should we expect more," asked George as he and his brother were kind of impressed.
"She takes after Dad a lot, so probably," Harry said.
"That's your Dad? He's a lot shorter than we expected," Fred remarked.
"I expected him to be at least the same height as your mum," George added.
"Don't let him hear you say that. He's sensitive about it," Harry told the twins as the players all started circling the field again.
"Hello, and welcome to Hogwarts' first Quidditch game of the season! Today's match is Gryffindor versus Slytherin," Lee Jordan announced as both Houses cheered for their team followed by Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw cheering. Soon, every player gathered in the center of the pitch with the Seekers flying higher than the rest of their teams. "The players take their positions as Madam Hooch steps out into the field to begin the game!"
"Alright! I want a nice clean game from all of you," She said with her yellow hawk-like eyes on every player, especially the Slytherins and their captain, Marcus Flint. Hooch kicked open the chest on the field, releasing the unlocked Bludgers and the Golden Snitch.
"The Bludgers are up followed by the Golden Snitch. Remember the Golden Snitch is worth a hundred and fifty points! The Seeker who catches the Snitch ends the game," Lee Jordan explained to newcomers and muggle-borns. Madam Hooch throws the Quaffle in the air to signal the start of the game. "The Quaffle is released and the game begins!" Immediately, one of the Gryffindor Chasers grabbed the ball and dodged the other players as she flew above and around them, showing some skill with her flight. "Angelina Johnson is the first one to grab the Quaffle and makes her way around the Slytherin Chasers," Lee commented.
Angelina zipped around, throwing the Quaffle at the tallest goal hoop only to have the Slytherin Keeper block it and pass it to Marcus Flint, who then flew past the Chasers and threw the Quaffle, only to have Oliver Wood blocked the throw.
"And an excellent block by Gryffindor's Quidditch Captain, Oliver Wood," Lee Jordan announces. "He passes the Quaffle to Kaite Bell and she dives in, passing Flint and… Oh! Katie Bell gets hit in the back of the head by a Bludger!" He announces as Katie drops the Quaffle in her hands as it was taken by Adrian Pucey. Pucey sped into view of the goalposts but his broom got whacked by a Bludger thanks to the Weasley twins knocking it around like a game of tennis.
"Angelina Johnson gets in position of the Quaffle and speeds up as she manivors back to the Slyherian goal post. A clear view of the goal, she shoots. She scores! And just like that, Angelina Johnson scores the first goal of the game," Lee announced, making the score Gryffindor: 10 - Slytherin: 0
"Very good," Lucifer said as he clapped.
"Enjoying the game," Dumbledore asked the King of Hell.
"It's too early to tell. But it's enjoyable so far," Lucifer told the old wizard.
"Well, I like it," Lilith said as she watched the game. She kept an eye on the game while she also kept sight of Harry, who was high above the rest of the players.
Up above, Harry was gliding around to see if there was any sign of the Snitch. The plan that he and Wood came up with for his first game was to mainly keep out of sight until he was able to find the Snitch. Harry caught sight of gold but only saw that it was from one of the Weasley twin's outfits as they flew by.
Down below, Marcus Flint had the Quaffle in hand as he was playing very rough. He dodged both a recovered Katie and Angelina, while kicking Alicia in the back. He throws the Quaffle, only to once again be blocked by Oliver Wood who passes it to Katie.
"Chaser Kaite Bell is in possession of the Quaffle! She passes it to Angelina, who tosses it back to Katie! She shoots, but she misses," Lee Jordan announced just as one of the Slytherin Chaser grabbed the Quaffle, speeding past the Gryffindor Chasers and getting closer to the goal. However, Fred managed to slam a Bludger toward the Chaser and forced them to dodge, which made their grip on the Quaffle get loose enough for Alicia to steal it.
"Yeah! Let's go, Gryffindor," Charlie exclaimed as she made her way through the stands to join Harry's classmates and Hagrid.
Alicia, Katie, and Angelina were all playing keep away before Marcus managed to snatch the ball out of the air. "Marcus Flint has the Quaffle again and is making his way toward the hoops. He takes a shot, but Oliver Wood deflects it! Not with Gryffindor, Flint," Lee said during his commentary, making the Slytherin captain sneer at Oliver.
Watching the game continue, Lucifer and Lilith watched as the Gryffindor Chasers essentially started playing 'Monkey In The Middle' as they weaved around the towers of the pitch. When Angelina got close to the goal, she was surrounded by the other team's Chasers and couldn't get a clear shot in. "Pass it," Lilith shouted as she noticed Katie Bell appearing from behind her teammate.
Throwing the ball behind her, Angelina successfully passed the ball to Katie, who was able to score the points she tried to make last time. "And another 10 points for Gryffindor," Lee exclaimed as he adjusted the score.
"Considering the talent of the Chasers, I can understand how some teams still win despite the other side getting the Golden Snitch first," Lucifer remarked aloud.
"Indeed. Some say the Golden Snitch can be unfair, but they vastly underestimate the other players," said McGonagall as she clapped for her House.
"Is that the Golden Snitch I see," Lee Jordan announced as he believed he saw something gold flying around past the stands.
Harry spotted the small flying ball as he dove down to catch it. Slytherin's Seeker, Terence Higgs, had seen it too. Neck and neck they huddled to catch the Snitch, but Harry was much faster and was inching towards it. But then- WHAM! A roar of rage burst through the Gryffindor side as Marcus Flint blocked Harry's view and hit him as Harry spun off course.
"Foul! He crashed into him," screamed Charlie and the Gryffindors who were in the stands.
Seeing the move for herself, Madam Hooch blew her whistle and called out Slytherin. "Seeker interference by Marcus Flint! Gryffindor's Chasers get one free shot."
"Luci, remind me to skin that brat when the game is done," Lilith said coldly as she had a deadly flame in her eyes that could burn imps alive.
"As much as I'd love to see you do that, there's no need," Lucifer stated as Gryffindor was able to raise their score to 30 points thanks to Alicia throwing the Quaffle.
After that bit of foul play, the Snitch escaped and the Seekers returned to viewing everything from above, trying to look for it. "I hope that he gets hit with a Bludger," Harry muttered as he quickly realized that the Slytherin team weren't fair sports.
Slytherin had the Quaffle and their Chaser was getting closer and closer to the scoring area. Oliver Wood was ready to block once more, but Flint was a dirty player. "Give me that," he said as he took one of the Beater's bats and hit the Bludger. Wood was hit directly in the chest, knocking him against the goal he was guarding and descending as he fell off his broom, landing on the soft sand below him. After that trick, Slytherin made their first goal of the game.
"Hey, that's cheating! He's not a Beater! Get him out of the game," Charlie demanded.
"Unfortunately, it's considered legal," Hagrid said, wishing that Flint got knocked off his broom.
"Take that side," Flint barked, ordering his teammate to follow his lead. Flint and another Chaser surrounded Alicia, pinning her in place as she had nowhere to go but straight. Flint and the Chaser moved out of the way as they stole the Quaffle and made the Gryffindor Chaser hit a tower, causing her to fall to the ground.
"That was a dirty move. I love it," Lucifer laughed.
"That was your son's teammate, dear," Lilith told her husband as she was not amused.
"It's still enjoyable," Lucifer counters. 'Maybe I'll introduce this game to Hell.'
Harry saw that the Slytherin players scored again and were using dirty tactics to do so. Gryffindor may be leading 30 to 20, but at this rate, they'd probably send his teammates to the Hospital Wing. Just as he was wondering if they could find a way to win, Harry saw the Golden Snitch was in his sights. Making a break for it before the Slytherin Seeker noticed, Harry suddenly felt himself jerk around.
"What's wrong with Harry's broomstick," Hagrid asked as he watched Harry move erratically like he was trying to ride a bull at a rodeo. Hagrid wasn't the only one to notice this as Hermione and Charlie looked at where Harry was above the field.
Hermione was looking through her binoculars and thought something was strange about why Harry was moving around like he was. Knowing Harry was a skilled flier, she wondered if somebody else was behind Harry's broom acting like a hyperactive housefly. Looking at the stands, she noticed that among the teachers and faculty watching, Snape wasn't blinking and seemed to be muttering something when she saw his lips. "It's Snape. He's jinxing the broom somehow."
"He's what," Charlie asked as she looked pissed as her brother soon started to fall off his Nimbus 2000. "HARRY," she called out as the boy held on for dear life. 'You couldn't let a small grudge go, all because he's like James Potter!?'
"We have to do something," Ron said.
"Leave it to me," Hermione said, ready to sneak through the towers before Charlie grabbed her.
"Let the big sister handle this," Charlie said in a cold tone as she held up her hand and started to chant something in a language Hermione didn't recognize. Soon, flames danced around her fingers before taking the form of a butterfly. The fiery insect discreetly flew over toward the Potions Master and landed on his cloak without anybody noticing. After a few seconds, the flames ignited his robes and one of the other teachers noticed it, alerting everyone sitting around Snape as he tried to snuff out the flames. While he was stepping on his cloak, he knocked down Quirrell who was behind him and the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher fell and hit his head on a bleacher.
"Wicked," Ron said, impressed by the Princess of Hell's spell.
"Where did you learn that?" Hermione asked her.
"It was just a little something my dad taught me to deal with people that won't leave me alone," Charlie said as she looked in the tower where Snape was still putting out the fire. "But I think that guy in the turban hit the back of his head."
"He'll be fine. He fainted when a troll was loose around Halloween," Ron said, not too worried about Professor Quirrell.
As soon as the teachers' attention was on Snape's burning cloak, Harry was able to gain control of his broom again. Mounting it once more, he sped off when he saw the Golden Snitch fly underneath him with Slytherin trailing after it. As he started picking up speed, Harry zoomed around the Quidditch pitch and passed by the stands. When he got close to Slytherin's students, he flipped all of them off, but seemed to focus the rude gesture at Malfoy most, even if most of them probably weren't able to see it. "Why do I get the feeling Magne flipped me off," Draco questioned out loud, getting only shrugs of uncertainty from Crabbe and Goyle.
Harry spotted the Snitch with Terence Higgs trying to grab it. Harry caught up to the opposing Seeker and they were neck and neck with each other. Bumping into one another, they tried to force the other away from the Snitch without trying to get fouled. Soon, the shiny golden ball descended to the ground and both Seekers followed it while still bumping into each other. As they were descending further towards the ground, Higgs started to get scared and pulled back to avoid crashing. But Harry proved that he belonged in Gryffindor's courageous dorm as he continued the chase, using his feet to pull up fast enough to avoid crashing. With the Snitch in his sights, the Prince of Hell stood up on the broom and balanced like he was on a tightrope in order to have a free hand to grab the ball. But as he stepped forward, his weight tipped the broom off-balance and he fell forward.
"Harry," Lilith screamed as she jumped from the tower and landed on the ground, immediately running toward her son. Snape watched as after she jumped, Lucifer and Charlie did the same.
"Are you okay," Charlie said as the game came to a halt when the Morningstar Family arrived on the field.
Standing up, Harry showed that he looked physically unharmed, but he held his stomach like he was about to be sick. "Harry, what's wrong," Lucifer asked as he saw Harry look like he was ready to puke. Harry kept his mouth shut, looking like he was gagging or choking. Concern for his adopted son, Lucifer did the only thing he could think of and slapped Harry's back.
At the impact, Harry spat out something golden and caught it in his hands. Seeing insect-like wings unfurl from it, Harry and his family were surprised at what happened. As he fell from his broom, he ended up catching the Golden Snitch in his mouth and nearly swallowed it.
"He caught the Snitch! Harry Magne received 150 points for catching the Snitch!" Lee Jordan shouted in excitement.
At the sound of Hooch's whistle, the game was declared over. "Gryffindor wins by 180 to 20," she declared. Everyone in the Gryffindor crowd cheered while Slytherin sulked.
"You did it, Harry! you won," Charlie cheered as she and Lilith hugged him.
"We're so proud of you, Son," Lucifer smiled as he lifted Harry's arm with the Snitch in hand, acting as if Harry won the World Cup. The team cheered for him as they all started to shout "Go! Go! Gryffindor!" repeatedly.
"Nonsense! Why would Snape curse Harry's broom," Hagrid said as he was walking with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Charlie in the courtyard while Lucifer and Lilith were speaking with Dumbledore in his office.
"Who knows? Maybe he wants to get past Fluffy," Harry said as he walked between his sister and Ron.
"Who told you about Fluffy?" Hagrid asked as he looked at Charlie first, seeing as she's the only one among them that knows about the three-headed dog.
"I didn't tell them. They wandered into that room by themselves by accident," Charlie told the half-giant.
"That thing is named Fluffy?" Hermione asked as she didn't see anything fluffy about that dog.
"Of course. I'm the one who named him. I bought him from a Greek fella in an Irish pub last year," Hagrid explained how he got the three-headed dog. "Then I lent him to Dumbledore to guard the - never mind."
"The what!?" Both Morningstar siblings asked simultaneously.
"I shouldn't have said that. No more questions. Don't ask any more questions," the half-giant told the four of them.
"But Hagrid, whatever Fluffy is guarding, Snape or whoever is trying to steal it," Charlie told him.
"Codswallop. Professor Snape is a Hogwarts teacher. He did nothing of the sort," Hagrid grunted.
"Hogwarts teacher or not, I know a spell when I see one. Snape kept eye contact with Harry's broom and was muttering a spell without blinking," Hermione told him.
"And the spell was broken when Charlie-" Ron said was about to continue until both girls covered his mouth.
"When Charlie what," Hagrid asked as he squinted his eyes on the Princess of Hell.
"Okay, I'm the one that set his cloak on fire! But I only did it because I saw him and thought he was trying to hurt my brother," Charlie admitted.
"Now you listen to me, all four of you," Hagrid said in a serious tone. "You're meddling in something that ought not to be meddled in. It's dangerous, even for the Magne Family. What that dog is guarding is between Professor Dumbledore and Nicolas Flamel."
"Nicolas Flamel," Harry questioned.
"I shouldn't have said that. I should not have said that," Hagrid muttered to himself as he walked away knowing he said too much.
"Nicolas Flamel. Who is Nicolas Flamel," Harry muttered to himself.
"I think I heard that name before. I'll try to look him up in the personal family library," Charlie said.
"Go ahead and do that, we'll research our end here," Harry told his sister. "Maybe Mom and Dad know something."
"I'll ask them when they finish talking with Dumbledore," Charlie said. "You and your friends should go relax after that game," she said as she ran off into the castle.
"Why would your family know something about Nicolas Flamel, Harry," Hermoine asked. "And what Hagrid said earlier about the Magne family, it seems to me that there's more to them than what you are telling us."
Harry was in a bind at what Hermione was questioning him about. He didn't want to lie to his friends, but telling them about Hell and saying he's the Devil's adopted son would definitely cause some issues. "I… I can't tell you right now, I promise I'll explain everything someday. But for now, let's find some answers on Nicolas Flamel."
"Fine," Hermione reluctantly agreed.
"Let's go," Ron said as the three went off.
Lucifer, the King of Hell, was glaring at the headmaster while his wife was sipping some wine while she stood by her husband. "Alright, Albus. You know as well as I do that someone was trying to kill my son," the devil said as he knew about the jinx on Harry's Nimbus 2000, but didn't know exactly where it came from.
"I can not lie to you, Your Highness. Someone is trying to take Harry's life," Dumbledore said as he sat down in the chair, facing the couple.
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I did see a man looking at Harry while mumbling something," Lilith stated in a calm-sounding tone, but the fire in her eyes showed that she wanted to personally skin the bastard that intended to harm her son.
"I assure you, Mrs. Morningstar, Severus has no intention of harming Harry in any way," Dumbledore told them. "He knew Harry's birth mother and wants to make sure he is unharmed as a way to keep her memory alive."
"Are you sure? You know that nobody is a pure soul," Lucifer remarked. "The only one that I know who comes close is my daughter. And even then, she has some moments of showing she does belong in Hell," he added.
"You mean like when we caught her in that three-way makeout session after she graduated school," Lilith voiced.
"Among other things," Lucifer responded before focusing on the more important matter. "The main thing is. How can we trust him? I heard from Charlie he's hard on him sometimes, even if he's getting good grades."
"I do see your point, your highness. Harry does resemble his father a lot and he is tough on him because of that. However, I trust him the most out of all the teachers in this building," Dumbledore said calmly as he leaned forward.
Lucifer looked at the old wizard, to see if there was any hint of regret, but saw none. "Very well. I'll trust your judgment on this one, Albus. But you better not let this be similar to Grindelwald."
"Thank you," Dumbledore bowed in respect, even if it was the devil. "But as for who caused that jinx, I have no doubt it was a follower of… well, you know who."
"You can say his name in front of me, I'm much more powerful than he is and you know it," Lucifer said as he rolled his eyes, annoyed at how the Wizarding World treats one man when he knows much stronger beings.
Dumbledore gave a light-hearted chuckle as he forgot who he was talking to. "Forgive an old man of his age. But it may have been a follower of him. Even with his injuries from what saved Harry as an infant, he has many people still loyal to him."
"That loyalty will mean nothing when they all end up in the same place," Lucifer said as his eyes narrowed, fully intending to enjoy seeing the Death Eaters fall to Hell.
"Are you going to make them watch, dear? If so, make sure it's slow and painful," Lilith added.
"Sometimes I forget the two of you truly are demons. I'd say it's because most of the time, you're such pleasant company," Dumbledore remarked.
"Just because I'm the Devil, it doesn't mean I'm sadistic all the time. Only when I feel like it," Lucifer laughed. "Well it's been fun, but we should return home. I have some business to take care of and my brother's birthday is coming up next month, even if it makes absolutely no sense. How can a virgin give birth to a demigod!? What was my father thinking!? Was he drunk? I swear, he can be infuriating."
Lilith knew it was time to go as soon as her husband mentioned God or any of his Archangel brethren. "We'll come by once in a while, but for now, we'll be on our way," she told the headmaster. Dragging a muttering Lucifer out of the office, Lilith went to go find Charlie so that all three royal demons could return home. But before she got to the door, she gave Fawkes a quick pet before leaving the room. "You're one of my favorites among beasts," she told the phoenix as she scratched the underside of his chin. "Take good care of your master," she told the bird before walking out the door and heading down the stairwell.
Dumbledore sat in his armchair as he recalled all that happened at the game. "There is no doubt about it. He's weak, but back for sure. I have a feeling that he's looking for the stone."
And we will end it right there! I hope you guys enjoyed the Quidditch game and its results. Big thanks to WaterDragonMaverick for editing and suggestions. We are getting close to the end of the Sorcerer's Stone arc. So will Harry find out about Nicolas Flamel and the stone early? Or will it be a little longer? Guess you have to read to find out. See you all in Hell!
