Hello Ladies and Gents. We are now on the last chapter of the Sorcerer's Stone Arc and will be advancing back to Hell. Let's see what is in store for Harry ahead. For now, let's Do some Q &A's.
NinjaMasd: I know what you mean, it is but it isn't at the same time. Major changes will happen later in the story.
Mezentsevmichael: I want it to be at a later state whereas time passes either Harry will tell them who they are or they figure it out. Also, you just gave me an idea. So thanks.
TheFishKing: They can't go after Voldemort because of his Horcrux, but can go after his Death Eaters. And Malfoy would piss himself.
Guess: Similar answer. Yes, the Killing curse can't kill demons, whether it be Hellborn or Sinner, but magic can still affect them like lifting them in the air or transforming them into something else. And them turning into smoke is just in the movies. Still effective if Lucifer or Lilith did that.
Anyway, Let's dive right into Hell!
Chapter 12: The House Cup
Everything looked and felt fuzzy to Harry. It felt like an aftermath with one of his close combat practices with one of his instructors. As he started to adjust himself, he felt like he was on a bed and held his head. Suddenly, he heard a voice speaking before a second spoke to him.
"Mom! He's waking up!"
"Harry? Harry, can you hear me?"
Harry recognized both of the voices as his mother and sister. Opening his eyes, he realized that his vision was blurry because his glasses were set on a table nearby.
"Oh, let me get that for you," Lilith said as she handed Harry his glasses.
The Prince of Hell put his glasses on and saw he was in the school infirmary, resting in a bed with white comfortable sheets. Lilith sat to the right of him, Charlie to his left, and Samael was sleeping right by his feet. "Mom? Charlie?"
"We're so glad you're safe, dear," Lilith said to her adopted son as she hugged him.
"What happened? The last thing I remember was destroying the Stone and cutting down…"
"If you're referring to that two-faced traitor to Dumbledore, you sent him straight to Hell," Lucifer said as he walked in with the Headmaster of Hogwarts.
"Good afternoon, Harry," Dumbledore greeted before Lucifer spoke again.
"Hello, son. How are you feeling?"
"Sore," Harry said, shifting himself upright to speak to his teacher and family. "How long was I out?"
"Three days," Charlie answered him. "And you gave a lot of people quite the scare. Your friends and classmates left you stuff for when you woke up," she added, pointing out the various cards and sweets around Harry's bed.
"What happened down in the dungeons between you and Professor Quirrell is a complete secret. So, naturally, the entire school knows," Dumbledore said as he and the Morningstar Family smiled at the joke about the news spread. The headmaster then looked through the many sweets Harry was given. "I see that your friend Ronald has saved you the trouble of opening your Chocolate Frogs," Dumbledore remarked as he picked up a box of the treat, showing it was empty of the chocolate and trading card.
"Professor, about the Stone-" Harry began but Dumbledore held up his hand to halt what he was about to say.
"You did the right thing. Your father told me everything as soon as I got back," Dumbledore stated. "My friend Nicolas and I had a little chat. We both agreed that it was best all around," he said, walking over to Harry's right side.
"But without the Stone, he'll die," Harry said as he looked up at the Professor.
"Everyone dies, Harry. It's what humans do. Unless you're an Angel or Highborn Demon, then you're naturally immortal," Lucifer said, getting a look from his wife and daughter. Coughing in his hand, he spoke more seriously. "Anyway, he's outlived any other human, so it's best that he was laid to rest."
"He has enough Elixir of Life to stay around long enough to set his affairs in order," Dumbledore told Harry. "Soon after, he and his wife will die peacefully. It will essentially be a long slumber that they will not awaken from, but it will be a peaceful death."
"Was I able to get the Stone-like I thought I could? Was the mirror enchanted to give it to somebody that didn't want to use the Stone," Harry asked Dumbledore.
"Only a person who wanted to find the Stone, but not use it, would be able to get it. That is one of my more brilliant ideas," the Headmaster whispered as he showed a grandfatherly smile towards the Prince of Hell.
"What I want to know is why Voldemort didn't die along with Quirrell," Charlie asked.
"Not surprising that he escaped your Uncle Azrael's clutches once before. He cheated death more than once. He'll likely do it again," Lucifer grumbled. "Speaking of, Harry, I didn't know you had a piece of his cloak," the King of Hell said, holding the Invisibility Cloak up with his cane.
"A belonging of his birth father that was left to me," Dumbledore stated. "I thought it would make a good present back on Christmas."
"Of course, you would give it to him, Albus. After all, the wand he made is still in your possession," Lucifer remarked.
"What wand," Harry asked.
"Questions for another time," Dumbledore said. "But let me ask you this, Harry. Do you know why Professor Quirrell couldn't bear to have you touch him?"
Harry thought about why Quirrell turned to ash from a simple touch, but couldn't figure it out. It was at that point that Lilith spoke about it. "It was his birth mother," the Queen of Hell stated as she ran her fingers through Harry's hair, gently stroking her thumb against his scar. "She sacrificed herself for him and it left a mark. A kind of unseen mark that lives in his very skin," she said.
"What is it," Harry asked.
"Love, Harry. Love," Dumbledore replied. Hearing this, Charlie cooed at the idea while Lucifer faked like he was about to throw up, earning a slap on the arm from his daughter.
"Uncalled for, Dad," Charlie scolded.
As Dumbledore stood up, he took notice of one particular treat left on the table in front of Harry. "Ah, Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. I was most unfortunate in my youth to come across a vomit-flavored one," Dumbledore told the Morningstars, prompting gags or laughs from them. "Ever since then, I'm afraid I've lost my liking for them. But I think I could be safe with a nice toffee," the headmaster said as he carefully picked one bean out from the candy box and popped it into his mouth. "Hmm. Alas. Earwax," he said, remaining stone-faced despite the regretful flavor he managed to get. "Care to try some other flavors, Your Highness," he asked as he offered the box to Lucifer.
"Hmm… Let's try this one," he said before plucking a bean and putting it in his mouth. "Yum. Candy apple."
"That was my first flavor," Charlie told her father. "I was ready to see if you got something nasty tasting."
"You'll need to get up pretty early to trick me into eating one of those," Lucifer said as he gave a popcorn-flavored one to Lilith.
"Well, since Harry's awake, it's best if he was checked over before being released to see who wins the House Cup this school year," Dumbledore told the Morningstars. "You're welcome to stay until the celebration."
"We might as well. I need to talk with somebody while we're here," Charlie stated.
"Who is it? Is it Hagrid," Lilith asked her daughter.
"No, I can visit Hagrid anytime. I'm talking about Professor Snape," Charlie told everyone in the room. "I owe him an apology, and a thank you for trying to save Harry."
"You and me both," Harry said as he did think Snape was the one who was after the Stone.
"Might as well. It is near the end of his semester," Lucifer said. "After that, we'll be taking him home for the summer."
"Um… Dad, Mom… there is something I needed to ask," Harry said to his parents, looking nervous. "I was going to tell both of my friends about…home. But I'm not sure if I should say anything."
"Harry dear, that's all up to you," Lilith said placing a hand on top of his. "But I am going to warn that they may not take the news so well. Saying that you were adopted by the Queen of Hell and the Devil himself might not be the best thing to tell a pair of 12-year-olds. Even if they are magic."
Harry thought it over and believed his mother was right. Being the son of the Devil and his wife would probably scare his friends away if he just admitted it. 'Maybe it's best that I keep my mouth shut for now,' he thought to himself. 'It's best to tell them at the right time.'
Madame Pomfrey came into the room to check up on the first-year Gryffindor. "Well, it's about time you woke up Mr. Morningstar, you have some visitors."
"You can send them in," Harry told the nurse.
"I'm afraid you still need to rest. You still need to be checked up on," the nurse said, but a small nod from Dumbledore made her relent and have the visitors come in.
Seeing who it was, Harry smiled as he saw Ron and Hermione enter the Hospital Wing. "Doing alright there, Harry," Ron asked.
"Never better," Harry told his friend.
"I heard you're quite the chess player, Mr. Weasley," Lucifer said as he faced the redhead. "I haven't had a challenge in that game for quite some time."
Ron quivered as he looked up at the Devil when he saw Lucifer's eyes and smile. The young Weasley swallowed hard as he peered into his eyes. "Y-yes," Ron admitted with some hesitation.
"Honey, you're scaring the boy," Lilith gently scolded Lucifer.
Realizing what she meant, Lucifer closed his mouth enough to hide his teeth. "Sorry about that," the King of Hell apologized. "Still, how about a game?"
Ron nodded as he did feel less nervous and led the King of Hell somewhere they can play. Hermione, however, was looking at the Queen of Hell. "You're Lilith, aren't you?"
The three remaining Morningstar looked pale when the witch knew Lilith's name. 'I knew Hermione was smart but I wouldn't think she would figure it out this fast,' Harry thought to himself as he tried to break the silence. "Hermione, I meant to tell you and Ron-"
"That your mother is Lilith the rock star!? I'll be honest, you did say your parents choose the Muggle life, but I didn't expect it to be Lilith," Hermione cut off Harry.
'Oh thank God, she was talking about her music career,' Harry mentally sighed in relief as he felt his stomach clutch for a second or two, but the Prince of Hell played along with it. "Yeah, I meant to tell you, but with the Stone and Nicolas Flamel, it slipped my mind."
Lilith smiled that her son was telling the truth and keeping his secret at the same time. The Queen of Hell turned to face the bushy-haired girl. "I bet you want an autograph, don't you," she asked as Hermione nodded her head very rapidly. "It's always good to see a fan so young as yourself know about me and keep track," Lilith laughed as she summoned out her pen and a photo of her. "Who should I make this out to?"
"Hermione Granger."
"To Hermione Granger… Lilith Magne," the Queen of Hell finished signing, handing the photo to the young witch girl. "Do me a favor and look after my boy. He needs friends his age looking out for him."
"I will, ma'am. And thank you," Hermione said, thanking the Queen of Hell as she went to the Great Hall to tell everyone the news on Harry's recovery.
"You have some good friends, Harry," Lilith said to him. "I'm sure you'll find the right time to tell them the truth."
"Thanks, Mom," Harry replied with a smile.
After Harry was cleared to leave the Hospital Wing, the rest of the days at Hogwarts went by quickly, especially with his family visiting. Ron and Lucifer were able to have their game and to the surprise of the King of Hell, the Weasley was able to tie against him and earn the Devil's respect as a chess player. Harry kept his promise to Fluffy to play with him now that he was out of the castle and enjoyed being next to Hagrid's hut until he was sent back to Greece. Lilith even took the opportunity to ask how the dragon she gave him was doing and the giant man showed that Norbert was very attached to him.
"Oh, I meant to give this to you, Harry," Hagrid said handing Harry a booklet. Harry looked inside to see moving photos of Harry's biological parents with a year old Harry. As Harry turned the page, he saw a photo of him, Lucifer, Lilith, and Charlie together when he was an infant. "Yer sister and I picked out the photos together. Best ones I know of yer biological parents and you, while Charlie picked out the best ones of yer folks," Hagrid whispered. "You better hurry or else you'll miss the final feast for tomorrow."
"Thanks, Hagrid, for everything. I'll see you next year," Harry said, waving as he went up to the castle. As he was running up to Gryffindor Tower, he met with the one person who he wanted to see last, yet still met up with him.
"Where do you think you're going, Magne," Snape asked the 11-year old Gryffindor.
"Back to Gryffindor Tower to pack up for the trip home," Harry said to the Potions Master.
"Indeed," Snape said as he curled his lip. "Seeing the big oaf one more time before you leave?"
Harry stood his ground as he looked at the Head of Slytherin. "I was. And Hagrid is not an oaf," he said defending the first friend he made on earth. "Also there is something I wanted to say to you, Professor. Thank you for saving me. Also, I'm sorry for thinking you were stealing the stone."
Snape looked stone-faced as ever, but for a second, Harry through he saw the Head of Slytherin give a slight smirk. "Think nothing of it. I'm just doing a favor for your mother," he said to the Prince of Hell. "Now, go to your dorm before I decide to take some last minute points for being out so late."
Harry followed this order and walked past the potion master but stopped one last time, not turning back. "Professor, one last thing. I hope you do get the Dark Arts position someday," Harry said to Snape before hurrying back to the dorms.
'He really is your son, Lily. I'll be sure he stay out of too much trouble,' Snape smirked as he wandered off to his location.
At the Great Hall, all the students were enjoying their feast for the end of the year while the teachers, as well as the Morningstars, sat at the staff table. Despite several events involving Draco Malfoy, Slytherin was still in the lead for the House Cup and decorations were strung up. With green and silver banners showing serpents around the hall, the Slytherin students were smug about yet another year where they won the Cup. Soon, McGonagall tapped her glass and got everyone's attention. The Great Hall went silent as Dumbledore rose from his seat to make an announcement. "Another year gone. And as I understand it, the House Cup needs awarding. The current points stand thus," the headmaster said as he spoke to everyone. "In fourth place, Gryffindor with 312 points. Third place, Hufflepuff with 352 points. In second place, Ravenclaw with 426 points. And in first place, with 472 points, Slytherin House," Dumbledore listed, getting polite applause from most of the staff and students until Slytherin clapped proudly at another victory. All the while, Gryffindor House looked upset at being in last place.
"Dumbledore, are you entirely sure that those are the final scores," Lucifer voiced as he gave a smirk to the headmaster, winking in Harry's direction.
"You're quite right, Mister Magne," Dumbledore replied before speaking to the Great Hall once again. "Recent events must be taken into account and because of them, I have some last minute points to award."
Seeing the Slytherin students go silent and Gryffindor House look on in curiosity, Charlie and Lilith quietly chuckled. "This should be fun," Lilith whispered to her daughter.
"To Miss Hermione Granger, for the cool use of intellect where others were in grave peril and solving a difficult potions problem for practical use, 50 points to Gryffindor," Dumbledore said, making the Gryffindor students clap as they surpassed Hufflepuff, who politely applauded as well for good sportsmanship. "Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, another 50 points," the headmaster said, bringing Gryffindor closer to Ravenclaw's score at 412. "And third, to Mr. Harry Magne, for pure nerve and outstanding courage that represents his House, I award Gryffindor 60 points." Gryffindor House applauded with Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw joining as Slytherin was now tied for first place.
Seeing that Harry's House was now tied for first place, Charlie wondered what would happen before something crossed her mind while she was still waiting for Harry to recover from his fight with Quirrell. "What about Neville," Charlie asked Dumbledore, remembering he was paralyzed trying to keep his friends from going through with their mission.
"Yes, thank you for reminding me, Miss Magne," Dumbledore told Charlie in a whisper. "Finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. Whether to call them out for behavior unbecoming of them or to protect them from being in harm's way. I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom," Dumbledore stated.
Upon hearing that, Gryffindor applauded as they had beaten Slytherin for the House Cup thanks to everything involved in the hunt for the Sorceror's Stone. As Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff joined in the rousing applause, Neville was still processing that despite his failure to stop Harry and the others, he was still one of the reasons that Gryffindor won the House Cup. "Way to go, Neville," Harry told the boy. "You are a Gryffindor!"
Chuckling at the sight of most of the Great Hall celebrating, Dumbledore spoke once again. "I believe a change of decoration is in order," he said before clapping his hands once and the banners above the tables began to change from green and silver to scarlet and gold with the snakes turning into lions. "Gryffindor wins the House Cup for this school year!"
While the students of Slytherin sulked or looked mad at their stolen victory, many students from the other three houses cheered as they threw their hats up in the air. Harry looked at the staff table and saw that his family smiling at him while raising a glass for his House's big win. Harry smiled back as he went on and shook hands with his housemates' hands and patted their backs. "No fair, this should have been announced yesterday," Malfoy exclaimed.
"Shut up, you brat," Lucifer said before tapping his cane on the floor, creating a shadowy image of a dragon that proceeded to roar loudly as it flew between the banners. Malfoy screamed in terror as did Crabbe and Goyle ducking for cover as the dragon flew at them. Chuckling to himself, Lucifer dismissed the image of the dragon before enjoying another drink with his wife and daughter.
After the feast, every student of Hogwarts began to pack up for their summer vacation and went to Hogsmede Station. As students were boarding the carriages that were known for apparently pulling themselves, Harry saw they were actually being pulled by these unusual creatures he had never seen before. They resembled a skeletal horse with reptilian features and leathery wings like a bat. To Harry, it seemed like if a horse and dragon were combined into one creature that nobody else could see. "What is that," Harry questioned before Lilith spoke to him.
"That's a thestral," the Queen of Hell said. "They can only be seen by those who have witnessed death and understood it."
"That makes alot of sense since we witness it almost everyday at home," Harry said lowly that only his family could hear.
"Well, Harry. We have all of your stuff packed on the train," Lucifer said as he handed the porter some of Harry's luggage and Hedwig's cage.
"You're coming with us, Dad? I thought we would have been going home a different way," Harry questioned, knowing that with his parents around, he could have used a portal back into Hell.
The King of Hell only chuckled in response to his son. "I want to see what's around London lately. Maybe see Diagon Alley for myself," he told Harry. "After all, I don't think you'll want to leave without a little more time with your friends."
Smiling at his father's answer, Harry saw Hagrid ushering students from all four houses to the available train cars. Deciding to give his first friend on Earth a final goodbye, the 11-year-old gave the half-giant a hug. "I knew yer not the type to leave without a goodbye," Hagrid said with a chuckle.
"I'm not," Harry confirmed. "Thanks for everything, Hagrid."
"It's the least I could do," the giant man said as Charlie and Lilith walked up to them.
"And if anybody gives you some trouble about not letting you keep Norbert, just show them this," Charlie said, holding up what looks like a badge with the Morningstar family crest on it.
"They'll know what it means while the paperwork is being handled," Lilith added.
"I'll be sure ter keep it with me," Hagrid replied before the other students were all onboard. "You best get moving. I'm sure after seeing London some more, you'll want ter be home again."
Harry smiled as he looked at the castle in the distance. "Hogwarts already feels like a second home to me," he said, glad to actually have come to the school.
"I'm glad to hear that, Harry. Now, let's not keep the train waiting," Lucifer said before he and the Morningstar Family boarded the Hogwarts Express. With the train departing, Harry and Charlie stuck their heads out the window to wave goodbye to Hagrid. With the giant waving back, the train was soon off and he made the walk back to Hogwarts.
After another long trip made by the Hogwarts Express, Harry made it to King's Cross in London with his family and new friends joining him. When they got off the train, the first person seen to the group was Ron's mother, Molly Weasley. "Percy, Fred, George, Ron. It's so good to see you," she said hugging all of her sons at once. "How was it this year?"
"Very exciting, mum. We actually won the House Cup," Ron told his mother who looked surprised.
"And it was all thanks to our little brother and his friends," Fred said as he messed with Ron's hair.
"It was great seeing the looks on Slytherin House's faces. I think that Malfoy boy shit himself with that fake dragon showing up," George laughed.
"Language," Molly warned as she slapped George up the head.
"Oh, there's nothing wrong with a little boyish mischief," Lucifer said, knowing it wasn't too harsh.
"Hello, Mrs. Weasley. We meet again," Lilith greeted as she waved to Molly. "This is my husband. You can call him 'Luke'. We came with Harry because of a few things near the end of the year," she said.
"I can see that. What happened to your son's hand," Molly questioned as she saw the bandages on Harry's hand that lead all the way to his wrist.
"Dark Arts Teacher," Harry explained shortly. "Turned him to ash."
"Turns out he was evil," Charlie remarked. "Wanted a powerful item in the school, but it got destroyed."
"Well, I never through I hear that. An 11-year-old killing a teacher out of self-defense," Molly said, still not beliving it.
"I get the feeling other crazy stuff might happen in the next few years," Lucifer commented. "If your kids starts hanging out with mine, I'm sure they will have exciting school years to come."
"Luke, as much as I like excitement, don't give the woman a heart attack," Lilith told her husband as she focused on the mother of the Weasleys. "Forgive my husband. He can be somewhat overexcited at times. But let's say we want to keep in contact in case of something were to occur. What's the best way and location?"
"Oh, a simple owl should do just fine. As for the address to the Burrow, it's located in
Ottery St Catchpole, Devon, West Country, England of course. And where do you live," Molly asked.
"Magne Manor should be enough," Lilith told the woman.
"Though, I do suggest having a phone. Makes things easier to get in contact with and is useful," Lucifer said as he spoke to Molly again.
"I'm sure my husband can get one," Molly said to the Morningstars. "Lord knows I can't pry him away from Muggle technology when he's doing his job."
"Took us a while to get used to, but it was worth it," Lucifer said, booming with laughter.
While the adults were still talking. Harry, Charlie, the Weasleys and Hermione were standing around. "Guess we can keep in contact more during summer," Harry remarked to his friends.
"I'll be sure to write to up everyday," Ron told him. "Will you do the same, Harry?"
"Of course, I will. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't write back," Harry told him as he turned to Hermione. "What about you Hermione? Do you prefer writing or calling?"
"Either works for me," she said.
After the adults finished talking, Lilith and Lucifer went back to Harry. "Now, care to show me where this 'Diagon Alley' is, Harry," Lucifer asked, ready to explore with his family.
"Sure thing, Dad. First, we have to go to a pub called the Leaky Cauldron to get there," Harry said as he lead the way with Charlie following close behind him while their parents were arm in arm having a nice time as a family.
And that is the end of the Socerer Stone Arc! I hoped all of you enjoyed, next will be Harry back home in Hell where he interacts with some old faces and some new ones.
