Chapter 10: Reality Zero: Part 1

Unknown Location

The moment he gains consciousness, he gasps a deep breath as he open his eyes. Looking around, all he saw was that he open field with several houses and lots of trees around. There is no one around but him. Just where is everyone? Come to think about it...he does not know who he is at all.

Getting up, he walks to a watery pond to take a look of his image. The image shows a late teenage young man with blue eyes, spiky blonde hair, and foxlike whiskers. This face belongs to him. But he does not know who he is. Just what is his name?

"Your name is Naruto," someone said to him. "Lieutenant Naruto Namikaze of the Marines."

Hearing someone talking to him, he turns and see a blue-eyed, spiky blonde, athletic man, wearing a marine officer uniform coat. He looks like the type of person who appear to be very humble and collected man He was about to asked the man a question when he suddenly realizes he cannot speak a word. What is going on?

"You can't speak here Naruto," the man says to him. "This place has render you utter mute, not to mention with an utter loss of memory."

"What do you mean loss of memory?" he thought with confusion.

"This is really getting annoying that I had say this a thousand times," the man told him. "But you don't have much time Naruto. You need to escape this place. And don't forget the note you had in your pocket."

"Note?" Naruto repeated in his thoughts. Then in a flash, Naruto jump aside before he was attack from behind. Back on his feet, he comes face to face to the one that attack him.

His attacker dressed in outfit that seem rough and chaotic. He was wearing a mask and carrying a a handmade sickle weapon. He looks so...Ruckus

"The man says I need to get to my friends. Is he my friend?" Naruto wonder. However, he had feeling this man was no friend of his. If he was, why is he trying to kill him?

The attacker he called Ruckus continued to try attack Naruto. Getting annoyed, Naruto decided to defend himself and he knew just the right move.

"Tekkai Kenpo: Iron Fist Strike!"

With his whole body hardened like Iron, Naruto flash forward and smash through the sickle weapon, striking Ruckus through the stomach. The impact of punch sends his foe flying, before crashing to the ground.

After watching his foe knock out cold, Naruto look at his fist. He never thought to be so strong and skilled of a fighter. Yet his muscles remember the skills he needs to use in a fight. Still if he knows how to fight, how come he can't remember anything else. And who was that man that was talking to him. He mentions something, like the note he has on him.

Naruto begin check himself to see if he has something in his pocket. It looks like a note all right. And it has a map on it. He looks closer, his mind reading the words on it.

Dear Naruto, this has happened before.

You are stuck in a place called the Loop.

You got only 22 minutes left. So don't waste any more time.

Naruto was confused. Really confused. Did he write this to himself? What did he mean he was the last one? What is that guy that attack him a hunter? And is that man that talks to him really his dad?

A shot was fired that ended his thoughts and Naruto felt a bullet slice a small piece of his cheek. Stun, his battle instincts follows where the shot was fired and spots a sniper behind the tree from the distance. The sniper fired again, but Naruto was ready to make his escape.

"Geppo!"

Naruto leaps in the air so high, it was as if he was flying. While surprised that he was flying, he seems to know maneuver back to the ground. Once he did, he was surprised of what he found below.

It was as if the whole world gone mad. Or if he mad alone. Or If they are all mad.

Looking around, all he saw were unfamiliar faces. People of all types were around. Each wearing strange outfits. Each carrying different weaponry. They were all floating down from the skies above. All fighting and trying to kill each other.

Naruto realizes he has been caught in the chaos of the fight as well. A huge man, whose outfit appeared to be norseman charged towards Naruto with a battle ax. However, Naruto was already ready for him.

"Kami-e Karate: Counter Wheel Fury kick!"

The same moment he evades the man with battle ax, was the same moment he counters strike with a wheel kick, reflecting the force of his attack back. The Viking man was knock out cold, yet he was not the last one to come after Naruto.

One by one, more came after Naruto. Naruto begins relying on his fighting skills to protect himself. Such as using Rokushiki techniques of Soru, Kami-e, Geppo, Rankyaku, Shigan, and Tekkai, words that came to mind except he didn't know what either of those was.

Yes despite being a skilled and strong fighter, he is, his attackers proved to be formidable opponents in their own right. And every time he beat one, another take his defeated foe's place, stronger than the last one.

Getting annoyed, Naruto did something...he summons a hundred clones around him. Rally under his orders, the clones charged, taking out anyone they suspected to be his was puzzles of this ability to create clone version of himself. Still, it gave him breathing room, the odds begin tip his favor.

The clones were skillful and strong as he is. Each begins takes down their foe on their own and later tag-team with the other to defeat their other enemies. However, more enemies keep coming from the sky above. And it was a matter of time when they come to discover that Naruto was the real enemy now the battle changed. It's no longer everyone vs everyone. It's Naruto vs everyone.

While a few clones have fallen, Naruto summon three more to replace the ones that fallen, made sure they're better enough to not be beaten so easily. He and clones were fighting a pretty good team, able to ensure there is no weak spot in their defense, tag team against the strongest individual foe. Make sure to watch each other back.

Despite having no memory of his past, this battle was all so familiar to him. Has he done it before? If so, why can't he remember?

It was when Naruto noticed something. Looking up, he sees a storm; violet, vast, unpredictable, and fast, coming down on them. It was surrounding them, closing in fast, as it wanted to consume them. The others saw it too. But seem determined to keep on fighting. Yet it was pointless as Naruto and his clones easily defeated the last of his enemies in the battlefield.

Now the last one standing, he looks up in time to see the storm swallow before his unconsciousness falls into total darkness.

His instincts screamed at him on an oncoming attack and quickly activated his Tekkai. The sharp Kinetic projectiles bounced off his super tough skin, the...the Kunai? He traces where the weapons come from, and when he looks, he sees the foe that attacks him.

His enemy was wearing a black/orange outfit with a T-shirt or mesh armor underneath. While retaining the swirls and orange pants, the blue pieces of his outfit changes to black: his forehead protector (which is now longer), sandals, and orange jacket, the black color showing more prominence than the blue did originally. He looks to be a year younger than him, with spiky blonde hair, blue eyes, and fox-like whiskers.

Naruto thought he was going crazy. How could his foe...look like him? Was it a clone of his, that decided to turn against him? No. This guy was real as he is. The two of them were alone on the battlefield. There are no more enemies saved for Naruto, his doppelganger, and their clones. It was just the two of them.

The doppelganger and his clones begin when they threw a storm of Kunai and Shuriken at Naruto and his clones. However, Naruto and his clones counterattack by using Tobu Shigan "Bachi", a advanced Shigan technique that is launched by flicking instead of jabbing, flying in the air towards their target. Both attacks met each other in mid-air, destroying each other.

Naruto and his clones sense an attack from the ground below. Looking down, they see the doppelganger's clones explode from the ground, to attack them. While some of them evade the attack, many were struck and puff out of existences.

While evading the attack from the ground, Naruto looked up in time to see his doppelganger and his clones charging towards them, with glowing energy sphere in the palm of their hands. Sensing how dangerous that attack is if hit by it, Naruto and some of his clones use Kami-e Karate to counterattack. Although his doppelganger and the clones that survive were forced back, they refused to give up.

It was when Naruto noticed that his doppelganger's face had changed. His spiky blonde hair has become more spiker than before, His foxlike whiskers were darker, his blue eyes turn blood red, and his face mature into animalistic and demonic facial features. Even the doppelganger's clones share the same facial traits. Their attacks were becoming stronger and more ferocious than before, even their Tekkai easily break.

It was when the two of them looked up to see the storm ready to fall upon them. Decided to end this, they begin to get ready for their primary attacks. Naruto ready in a stance that reflects the seventh technique of Rokushiki, his doppelganger and his clone, creating a huge version of energy sphere. They then charged each other, once their technique was ready.

"Rokuogan!"

"Big Ball Rasengan!"

The two attacks hit each other, unleashing an huge explosion before the storm consumed them both.

"Why do I have a feeling I know this guy?" he thought with curiosity. He can't explain it, but deep down, his senses tell him that he fought his doppelganger before.

His doppelganger summons a dozen clones; each armed with a Kunai before they launch an attack towards Naruto. Naruto summoned a dozen clones of him on, to defend themselves from their attacker. But instead, his doppelganger and his clones begin attacking the other competitors on the field.

He wonders why his doppelganger and his clones are attacking the others instead of him and his clones. He recalls the second note he found after the first and thinks that this doppelganger was the one who sends the note to him. However, how does he know that this doppelganger was trying to trick him? Then again, he has a strong feeling that this clone can be trusted.

Naruto signals his clones to help his doppelganger and his clones against their opponents. Together, the two and their armies of clones begin ganging up against all their opponents. His doppelganger and his clones were strong, skillful, and agile. They also work well together as a team, with a fighting style that is similar to his. Within eight minutes, the two Narutos wiped out the whole field of all their enemies. The only ones left standing; they reflect their gaze at each other.

"Could he be the one who sends me that second letter?" Naruto wondered.

Naruto saw his doppelganger reach something in his pocket. Could it be a weapon? He was about to react to a counterattack when he saw that it was a notebook and pen. He wrote something and begin to show it to him.

My name is Naruto Uzumaki.

I'm a prisoner here in the Loop, forced to fight.

After reading the letter, Naruto wrote back and handed it back to his doppelganger.

My name is also Naruto, yet with the last Namikaze.

It was without warning, the two Narutos felt something was coming. It was a thunderous tremble. They can feel it, in the air around them or the ground under them. And the quaver was increasing. Their keen battle senses help point out to where the disturbance coming from. And even from a vast distance, they were able to see what was heading towards their direction.

Their opponent was a muscular young man with long, dark, blue-colored hair. He carries a sharp gaze; his eyes have black circles around them. He is dark-skinned, and on his body, he bears the light blue markings. He dons a high-collared, black cloak (which also bears his draconian markings), sharp red claws around his neck, a sash around his waist, a gold arm ring tightened around his right upper arm, and baggy pants which are decorated the same as the foremost article of clothing.

Naruto knew that something terribly wrong about this guy. He can't understand why he knows it, but he feels it in his bones. He senses this guy was very powerful and extremely his doppelganger could sense it as well, something very dangerous about him. They could that this man will show them no mercy by looking at his cold gaze upon them. If they're going to get out of here, they need to defeat this guy before the storm hits them. The two Narutos look at each other, giving themselves a nodded before they got ready to begin.

Not holding back, the two summon an army of clones, surrounding their opponent. Yet the dark man with the draconian markings took a moment to look at all their clones and gave them a mocking grin before he counterattacked.

"Eternal Flare!"

The dark man with the draconian markings casts starry lights in the sky in all directions. Each starry light cause a massive explosive, taking out as many clones in the progress. Those that survived the explosive attacks, begin make withdrawal, to dodge the starry lights.

"All Directions Shuriken!"

"All Directions Tobu Shigan "Bachi"

Both Narutos and their clones unleashed a barrage of Flying Shigan and shuriken at their opponent in the center. However, without warning, their opponent created an energy defensive shield to protect him from all of the attacks. Giving them a mocking grin, the dark man with the draconian markings and begin raised his palm towards the real Narutos. It when Naruto suddenly senses something terrible going to happen and immediately, he used Soru to grab his doppelganger in order to get out of the way.

"Power of the End!"

A massive energy blast was fired from their opponent. It not only took more of their clones but also took a large portion of the surrounding area. The energy blasts continue, firing straight into the void that surrounds the island.

Naruto does not know how he foresaw that attack. For some unknown and strange reason, it was as if his mind had caught an image from the future. An image of their opponent's attack, killing them both. He has a few seconds to react before it hits them.

"It's called Kenbunshoku Haki." his father's voice told him. "It's why you can see his attack coming."

Naruto traces the voice that talks to him and discovers it was the same man who talks to him...his father. He didn't have time to say anything to him as he was forced to turn his attention back to his enemy. He knew if he took eyes off him for even a second, he was dead.

His doppelganger gave him hand signals, meaning it was time to take this fight to their enemy personally. Naruto agreed as he felt a long-distance attack wouldn't do any good against this guy.

He sends a signal back to his clone and convinces him that he'll serve a decoy. His doppelganger didn't like the idea but promised he'd serve as backup. Naruto signals his clones to surround the enemy, authorizing them to get ready of for the use of a technique he created. Following Naruto's commands, his surviving clones begin to move in position, surrounding their foe, and getting ready to attack.

"All Directions Rankyaku!"

The clones begin unleashing a series of Rankyaku, directly at their opponent. Yet the dark man with the draconian markings didn't seem amused as he already defeated this attack before. He seems ready to defend himself, but instead, all the Rankyaku begin the ground beneath his feet, creating a huge amount of dirt, smoke, and debris in the air, blinding the dark man with the draconian markings.

Clearing the dirt in his eyes, the dark man with the draconian markings was in time to see the clones charged him, with Shigan techniques. One of them tries to strike him in the face. Although the dark man with the draconian markings was able to evade that attack full throttle, he barely dodged as that attack cut a slice on the side of the cheeks.

Seeing how deadly and effective this attack was, the dark man with the draconian markings touched his wound and examined his blood. Normally, anyone could see how serious and dangerous their opponent is. Instead, the dark man with the draconian markings...gave them a slasher grin, as if he finally found a worthy opponent.

With incredible speeds, the man with the draconian markings struck down one clone after another with a punch. These clones were not weak. They were built to be highly skilled, tough, and wise in battle. But their opponent was no ordinary man. He was a monster that seemed to have built itself from a massive trail of slaughter. Which why Naruto decided to get ready for his ultimate attack on this guy.

"Rokuogan Combo!"

All Directions Rankyaku was just a distraction. Naruto knew better than trying to use the same move twice on an enemy he knew that wouldn't work. It was also meant to blindsight the man with the draconian markings, push him into a position where he is vulnerable.

Just as the man with the draconian markings double clotheslines two clones, he sees another clone charged towards him places both his fists right in front him, focus in unleashed a devastating shock wave in a forward direction.

The attack seems to affect the man with the draconian markings. Yet he seems to remain strong and firm, as if that was not Naruto's best shot. He was about to find out that it was the beginning of Naruto's best shot.

The clone that used the Rokuogan on him disappeared, and another clone also charged towards him places both his fists right in front him, firing his own shockwave blast at him. Then a third clone also attacked him with a third Rokuogan once the second clone disappeared, unleashed its own Rokuogan.

Naruto was now the fourth one to use Rokuogan. He knew his attack was having affected on the man with the draconian markings, as he could see the his face was suffering from signs of discomfort and irritation.

Just as he was about places both his fists right in front his target, the man with the draconian markings suddenly grabs Naruto by the throat, interrupting his attack. Naruto tries used all his strength to free himself, yet the grip of the man with the draconian markings was iron tight, unable to burden.

The man with the draconian markings looks ready to punch a hole right through Naruto with a fist, when another fist smashes him on the side of the face, stopping him. This causes him to release his grip on Naruto's neck. Rubbing his neck, Naruto looked up, to see it was his doppelganger who saves him. However, he noticed how different his doppelganger looks.

His doppelganger's whole body was coated in a strong bright yellow aura, which emanates from them reminiscent of flickering flames. In addition to his new form, his doppelganger has two horns on his head, six magatama markings around his neck, some sort of prominent circular/swirl design over their stomach and various other lines extending along his body.

The man with the draconian markings reacts to the doppelganger's punches with surprise, as he felt pain for the first time. The doppelganger took advantage of his surprise and began unleashed a series of fists into his opponent, pushing him back. "Planetary Rasengan!"

The doppelganger smashes his attack down on the man with the draconian markings, sending him crashing to the ground. Once he did, he reverts to normal, exhausted and panting. He looks like he is ready to fall on the ground, but Naruto catches him.

It was without warning, something blasts both of them fell back, flying across the air, before crashing to the ground. Recovering and back on their feet, the two Narutos look up to see the man with the draconian marking back on his feet piss off like a bat from Hell. However, they soon discovered the worst was yet to come.

Before their very eyes, the man with the draconian markings begins to transform. No longer of human form, he was now in the form of a massive dragon. He was mastodonic and had an entire upper body covered in black, round, scales, which, in turn, are decorated by spiraling, blue markings. His lower body, specifically his chin, chest, stomach, inner tail, thighs, and arms, are gray and appear to be rather smooth. His eyes are white and beady, and his head is round and blunt with four, large, elongated plates extending backward. His mouth is full of razor-sharp teeth, and, attached to his chin, is a protrusion that resembles an arrowhead. His large wings are feathery in appearance, akin to a bird's. The scales disappear at the end of his tail, which, in itself, ends in a stinger-esque shape.

Naruto has a feeling that his opponent has decided to take kids' gloves and that this is now becoming serious. He also senses his opponent's power level has escalated to vast levels; he has a feeling with his current strength it will not be enough.

It was when Naruto suddenly sensed a new power level rising. This power level was escalating to the top. It was comparable to the first vast power level yet felt different. The first power level was dark, cold, and evil. While the second power level felt beautiful, warm, and full of love. It didn't take him that long for him to figure out that the second power level he senses comes from his doppelganger.

His doppelganger has regained his golden form. However, he too begins to transform into a non-human form. In mere moments, Naruto's doppelganger has changed into a massive nine-tailed fox. The fox entire body takes on a transparent golden color, its whiskers are much thicker, and black circular markings appear on its shoulders, stomach, as well as the front and back of its paws. Black lines also run the length of its spine, arms, legs and tails.
