Hello sinners! And Welcome back to another chapter of Devil of a Wizard. But anyway we are in the middle of the Prisoner of Azkaban arc, or a good way into it. I know some of you say "I'm sticking with Canon too much," But it is mostly the backbone so far. Little by little, I'm changing things around. But there is going to be a major change further down the road, I won't say where but it will be big and enjoyable. But for now, let's answer some reviews.
Joanne Frances Tiano Cajilig: Hail King Lucifer and the Morningstar family! But when they find out about Peter, Ron's going to be the most disgusted.
Cucaracha2: I explained it in an A/N at the end of Chapter 18 "Alcrete Avavago" means "Fiery Thunder" in Enochian.
Nathair1: Yeah that horse fuckers really need to chill. (Yes I am calling Blitzo a horse fucker because since season 2 episode 3 showed two imps dressed as horses swapping split, I'm sure he also does it to horses as well as sharks)
Iamshinydragonmist: Let them burn! Bwahahaha!
Bromega2477: I do enjoy a good BBQ *sizzling streaks, burgers, and hot dogs with Hellfire*
Turtle fire(Guest): That will be later on in the story. Also, you gave me an idea for a poll. And it's in this chapter that he learns the Patronus Charm.
Sm0keyPanda: Oh yeah, *sunglasses on and smirks* There's more where that came from.
Shadehound9123: Yes he is very lucky to have three girls swoon over him :) If Sirius gets proven innocent, then the Ministry will face their worse enemy, Lucifer's lawyers! Bwahahaha!
brolyk445: It depends on the direction it will take. But I am going to add the pilot later on in the story.
And like the Pervious Chapters, Let's Dive Into Hell!
Devil of a Wizard Chapter 31: Patronus Charm
"Sirius Black was here!?" Harry shouted at Neville. The Prince of Hell looked furious and confused at the same time. He was angry because the supposed murderer went after his best friend in the human world, but he was confused because he attacked Ron. How does he even know the youngest Weasley boy? But it felt like he needed to get the full story first before thinking too hard. "Is Ron okay? How did he get attacked?"
"He's fine. But, uh… I'm p-partly to blame for it," Neville explained hesitantly as the Prince of Hell gave a raised brow towards the boy. "You know I write down the passwords to get into the Gryffindor Common Room because Sir Cadogan keeps on changing them. I lost the list of passwords yesterday and it happened all last night that Ron saw Black above him with a knife to his head. Luckily, Ron woke up and scream very loudly and it alerted everyone, including Professor McGonagall," he told the Prince of Hell. "Unfortunately, Black escaped before anyone could do anything. Plus, I did lose Gryffindor some points, got a week's worth of detention, I'm no longer allowed into Hogsmeade, and old Nan sent me a Howler."
"Sorry about that," Harry told him as a howler was something Harry never wanted to see or hear again after Ron's mother gave him one last year. "Where's Ron? Is Hermione with him?"
"About that," Neville made a face that made him made it look like he caught someone smoking weed. "After Ron was attacked, Scabbers got killed by Hermione's cat. They're having a tiff right now."
'No wonder why they didn't come to see me,' Harry thought to himself. He was somewhat relieved that they weren't mad at him. But now he had to deal with both of them not talking to one another. "Do you know where they are now?"
"Ron's probably still be in the Common Room and Hermione could be in the library," Neville told the Prince of Hell.
"Thanks," Harry told his fellow Gryffindor and headed to his dorm room.
"Before you go, the password is Balderdash," Neville whispered to Harry before the Prince of Hell left. Harry gave him a thumbs up.
"I can't believe Black went after Ron. But why," the Prince of Hell asked himself as he made his way to Gryffindor Tower. As he got there, he noticed that some large trolls were guarding the area like they were added security after Black's latest appearance. "Was he aiming to kill off the people I'm close to? But how does he know Ron is my close friend? Or did he think I stayed over Christmas break here and mistake Ron for me?" Harry's brain was going to burst on why, but needed to ask Ron himself to understand the situation more. Harry continue to walk up the marble staircase and to his surprise, the Fat Lady was back with her portrait fully restored. 'Makes sense if Sir Cadagon let a criminal wander around,' Harry thought to himself as approached the Fat Lady and said the password Neville gave him. "Balderdash."
Saying the correct password, the Fat Lady allowed Harry inside the Common Room. When he entered, he looked around to see Ron was working on his Divination homework.
Harry looked at the red-haired wizard and saw he was deep in thought. He never saw his best friend get really into a class subject before. Then again, he must have been sulking about Crookshanks probably eating Scabbers. "Ron?" Harry asked as the red-haired boy jumped out of his chair, knocking over some parchment and quills.
"Bloody Hell, Harry! When did you get here," Ron asked as he was picking himself up.
"A few minutes ago," the Prince of Hell told his friend. "And I heard what happened from Neville. It must have been scary," Harry said, pulling up a chair and sitting across from Ron. "Wanna talk about it?"
"Alright. Only because you didn't hear the full story," Ron told his best friend. "There I was sleeping in my bed, dreaming. Then heard Scabbers squeaking very loudly like he was in pain. Next thing I knew, I was looking up at Sirius Black with a knife in his hand and hovering over me," Ron recalled the tale as his pale skin became paler at the memory. "I screamed, hoping someone woke up and take him down. But he escaped like a shadow. Everyone thought I had a bad dream until that so-called knight in the painting admitted he let him in because he had the password to our dorm."
'That explains why the Fat Lady is back,' Harry thought to himself. "So Scabbers alerted you before Black could slit your throat?"
"That's right. Right before Hermione's cat murdered him," Ron said with an angry scoff in his voice. "Ate him whole!"
"Ate him whole? So you didn't find his body," Harry asked, prompting the red-haired wizard to nod. "No offense, Ron. But Crookshanks couldn't have eaten your rat whole. He'd have to bite Scabbers' head off first before."
"You're taking her side on this!?" Ron stated angrily.
"No, I'm not. I've just stated the facts. Have you seen a cat hunt mice before? There would be blood or a body," Harry told him with his hands up in defense.
"But I saw the blood and the ginger hair that matches," Ron argued.
"Was it fresh?"
"That night I was attacked, yeah."
"Could it be that Scabbers got attacked by Sirus Black and that's why he screamed and possibly ran off."
"I guess…" Ron muttered. "Then where could he run off to?"
"Don't know. He could have escaped into a hole or something."
"Well, thanks for pointing that out. But I still want to hear the apology from Hermione."
"Alright, but I'm not getting involved in your tiff," Harry told him as he was ready to head off to the library. "I was hoping to tell you both what I found out with you in the same room. But seeing as it won't be for a while…" Harry said as he started to explain what his father told him about Sirus Black and what his connection to Harry was.
Ron was flabbergasted and his mouth hung so low, that it nearly hit the floor. "Bloody Hell!"
"I thought the same thing. But something doesn't feel right. Until then, I'm gonna find out as much information as I can," Harry told him before heading out of Gryffindor Tower and making his way to the library.
Harry made his way to the school library to talk to Hermione. 'I hope she's still there,' he thought to himself.
"Harry," someone called his name. The Prince of Hell turned to see that it was Professor Lupin. "When did you get back?"
"Just an hour or so," Harry admitted to the pale-looking teacher. 'Since he's here, I might as well ask him a few questions.' "Professor, you knew my parents when they were students, correct?"
"That I did. But you already know, so why are you asking me again," Lupin asked the Gryffindor.
"Because you knew Sirus Black as well as Peter Pettigrew, correct?"
Lupin was very silent when Harry mentioned Black and Pettigrew. His pale face was, even more, whiter than a ghost. "Why would you think that I knew Black? And how do you know about Peter Pettigrew?"
"My father told me everything. My adopted father," Harry answered the DADA teacher as he also corrected himself. "He told me that my birth father and Black were very close friends. Including…" Harry paused to make sure no one else was around to hear what he and Lupin were talking about and whispered. "...that fact he's my godfather."
Sighing in defeat, Lupin knew he couldn't keep up with the charade any longer. "Yes, Harry. I did know Sirius back when he, Peter, James, and I were students here and I did know he was your godfather. I wanted to tell you, but I had strict orders not to from Dumbledore because he figured that if you found out, you would go after him."
"I understand. I did want revenge, but now I just want answers," The Prince of Hell told his teacher. Lupin looked at Harry with a hint of confusion. "I know it sounds strange, but something feels off to me about Black. Why would he betray my parents if they were so close? Also, there's the question about my Firebolt I got before the holidays. Then my father, Luke, questions about him killing a dozen people and Peter Pettigrew. Especially if they only found his finger and not the rest of him. And now, there's the night he attacked Ron. A lot of this isn't adding up," Harry said.
"That is quite the assumption. It also plagues my mind why Sirius would commit something so heinous and betray James and Lily. Also, why would he attack Mr. Weasley? If anything, I would have thought Peter was the traitor."
"Why would you say that," Harry asked with a raised brow out of curiosity.
"I don't wish to speak ill of another friend, but I have to be honest. Even if Peter was in Gryffindor like me, James, and Sirius, he was a coward," Lupin told him.
Hearing this detail, Harry thought it could be an important clue. "Thank you, Professor Lupin. I can't wait to see what you'll teach for the next class," he said ready to leave.
"Oh, Harry," Lupin stopped him before he could get far. "After class, I want you to see me after so I can begin your… extra credit assignment."
Harry gave the pale man a knowing smile and nodded his head before heading to the library. 'So there is a possibility that Pettigrew told Voldemort about where my parents were hiding,' he thought to himself. Harry made it to the library and looked for the bushy-haired girl. The Prince of Hell found her but saw that Hermione fell asleep with many books piled around her. 'This is something I thought I would never see Hermione doing,' Harry thought to himself as he quickly took out his Hellphone and snapped a picture. 'Hehehe, blackmail,' he chuckled to himself as he got a picture of her slightly drooling on her book on Ancient Ruins. "Time to wake her up," he told himself as he shook the bushy-haired girl's shoulder. "Hermione, wake up! School ended early and we can go to America!"
"Zzz… ugh… huh, what?" Hermione eyes slowly opened as she had small bags under her eyes. "Harry? When did you get back? Wait, what time is it?!"
"It's 2:45 pm."
"Oh, shit! I lost track of time and missed your arrival at Hogsmeade," Hermione cried as she was wide awake and in a panic. "Harry, I'm so sorry!"
"It's fine," Harry said as he picked up one of Hermione's books and looked at the cover. "Muggle Studies… Both of your parents are Muggles. Why take a class about this?"
"I wanted to see a wizard's view on the muggle life," she countered as the Prince of Hell gave a tired sigh.
"You probably won't listen to me, but you are taking too many classes. You're running yourself ragged. You were using your book as a pillow," Harry told her more concerned for her health. "I know we're both top-A students, but if you keep doing this to yourself, you're going to start failing classes when you can't keep track of everything."
This, of course, made Hermione panic. Her worse fear was failing classes and Harry was a bit of a rival even if they were on the same side. "Okay, I'll try not to overwork myself and next year I won't take as many classes."
"You swear?"
"I swear to God," Hermione said with a raised hand.
"Okay," Harry said with a sigh in his head since Lucifer and his grandfather don't get along. Since Harry was considered the Devil's Son, he did feel a slight chill go up his spine for a second or two. "Anyway, I have some information on Sirus Black," he said. Harry started to explain what he learned about Sirius Black from his father and Lupin. "I also know what happened in the Gryffindor tower with Ron."
"Did he also tell you that Crookshanks killed his rat!? Because it's not true! Crookshanks was with me in the girl's dorm right when he screamed," Hermione spat as she wore an angry scowl on her face.
"I'm not getting involved with this tiff between you two. I told Ron this before I met up with you," Harry informed the bushy-haired girl about the fight between the two of them. "But it is strange that he went after Ron and not me."
"Now that you mention it, that does seem weird," Hermione agreed as she put a finger to her chin. "How would he know that you were close with Ron?"
"That's what I to figure out. But the answers aren't gonna fly right into our lap. In other news, I got my permission slip. But I have to be with a group when I'm visiting," the Prince of Hell stated as he showed his paper to Hermione. "For now, get some real rest, and don't overwork yourself," he said walking out of the library.
It was a day since Harry returned to school and he noticed that Ron and Hermione were still not talking to one another. He groaned in exasperation at how the two were acting like an old married couple that wouldn't communicate with each other. In other news, everyone admired Harry's new broom and asked if they could get a ride on it. Thankfully, Wood didn't want anyone but Harry to touch it since Gryffindor hasn't lost a game yet and didn't want to risk any damage to the Firebolt outside of actual practice and games. Divination was very annoying to Harry since Professor Trelawney kept talking about the Grim and that Harry will die eventually. Care for Magical Creatures got a lot more interesting as Hagrid introduced Salamanders and taught everyone about their nature in flames and that their next lesson would be about Dragons and Norbert would be the start of their lesson.
Then, there was Defense Against the Dark Arts. Like always, Professor Lupin made it interesting when he covered vampires. The topic made Harry remember when he met Vlad the Impaler at an event in Hell. The warrior prince talked about how during his time in modern-day Romania, he loved to torture his enemies and drank their blood like it was wine. Harry was surprised that the Impaler's father was actually a vampire, which might have explained why Bram Stoker might have written 'Dracula'. Even though vampires were considered a species that could live alongside wizards and witches, they were kept a close eye on.
Once the lesson was over, Professor Lupin asked if Harry could stay. "Our lesson will be at the astrology tower to practice," Lupin said as he and Harry made their way to their destination. After they reached the tower, Lupin began to explain what exactly would happen. "We'll practice on a boggart since the real thing will be much more terrifying," He told the teenager.
"Figures. My sister had to teach me her own spell with one," Harry said as they reached the astrology room.
"Ah, yes. She made sure you had a type of 'sword'. Then I'll have to teach you the shield," Lupin said as they climbed to the tower. As they marched up the tower, they some candles lit up with many instruments and telescopes used to study the constellations and planets. But instead of studying the stars like Prince Stolas, they were here for something else. Inside the room they entered, a trunk was standing in front of them and shaking like something wanted to get free. "Before we begin Harry, this is complicated magic. You might not get it the first time."
"I didn't master the spell Charlie taught me the first time. It took me a while before I figured out what to do. I can imagine that this one will be just as hard," the Prince of Hell told his teacher.
"I think I can imagine. The spell I'm going to teach you is called the Patronus Charm. It will act like a shield toward the user and make a dementor feed on it instead of the Witch or Wizard who conjures it," Lupin explained. "In order for it to work, you need a positive memory, something that makes you happy. The happier the memory, the stronger the Patronus."
"Sounds simple enough," Harry said as even if he did live in Hell for as long as he knew, his parents treated him well and loved him alongside Charlie. Remembering some of the good memories he had with his family. Sure enough, he chose one that might work.
"Choose a good memory, I assume? Alright, now here's the incantation. 'Expecto Patronum.' Got it?"
"Expecto Patronum," Harry repeated, making sure he was enunciating correctly.
"Very good. Now, wand at the ready," Lupin instructed. As Harry did just that, the DADA teacher got behind the trunk, unlocked the case, and quickly opened it to reveal a boggart in the shape of a Dementor floating above Harry.
Harry looked at the boggart, raised his wand, and shouted. "Expecto Patronum…" However, nothing happened. He tried it again and shouted much louder. "Expecto Patronum!" Suddenly, a beam of silver light appeared, forming a misty barrier that the Dementor couldn't pass.
Lupin was amazed that Harry was able to conjure one right away, it may not be a full Patronus, but it was a strong one to keep the boggart Dementor at bay. The Prince of Hell kept the spell up until he was able to close the trunk on it and lock it. "Excellent work, Harry! You took me by surprise," he said, patting the Prince of Hell on the shoulder and giving him a piece of chocolate.
"Thank you, sir," Harry said as he took the snack.
"Your father would be very proud of you if he was still here," Lupin said as he took a seat beside Harry.
"I'm sure he would," Harry said as he took a bite of chocolate.
"Just out of curiosity, what memory did you choose?"
"It was one about my mother. My adopted one," Harry told him as Lupin raised a brow. "It was when I was taken in by her. She was singing to me. That's the memory I choose."
"She sounds like a caring woman. I would like to meet her and your adopted father someday," Lupin told the dark-haired teenager.
"You'll get your chance at the next Quidditch match, and if we win, they'll be at the finals too," Harry told the DADA teacher. "I'll see you next time, Professor," he said, descending the spiral staircase.
Days passed and Harry was getting irritated that Ron and Hermione were still not talking to one another. The two of them kept using him as a messenger some much, Harry wondered if this was how Hedwig and Owlphonse felt. Harry was with them at Dueling Club as Charlie demonstrated the proper way of putting someone into a sleeper hold. "And that is how you knock someone out without the need to kill them. Now, who wants to be next?"
"I volunteer Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger," Harry said with a raised hand. Hearing that, the two mentioned had the same reaction as they faced Harry.
"What!?"
"I have had enough of being the middle man. You two need to deal with your problems once and for all. And what better way than getting past this fight than actually fighting?"
"Okay. Ron and Hermione, get ready with your wands out," Charlie instructed. As they got to the table, Ron and Hermione had their wands drawn and paced toward each other before they saluted.
They both walked back ten paces back, then faced each other before casting the same spell at once. "Expelliarmus!" Once they cast the disarming spell, both of their wands flew out of each other's hands and onto the stone floor.
Ron and Hermione looked at their teacher for instruction, which made Charlie roll her eyes as the two forgot what her version of the Dueling Club was all about. "You don't need magic to fight," she reminded them. "Punch each other."
"But I've never hit a girl before in my life," Ron said. But he was soon met with Hermione's fist crashing into his nose.
As Ron clutched at his face, Harry had a blank expression as he remarked on what just happened. "Yeah, I noticed. Try harder."
Hermione was not letting Ron up as she tossed him to the ground and started to wail at him hard as everyone cheered for Hermione. "This. Is What. You. Get. For Accusing. Crookshanks. About. Killing. Your. Rat," she exclaimed angrily with every punch she threw at the red-haired wizard.
Harry thought it was a miracle that Ron wasn't a bloody pulp at the moment, but he noticed Ron had his hands up in a defensive position since being sent onto his back. Luckily, Ron tapped out and Charlie grabbed Hermione's fist immediately. "That will do, Hermione. He already gave up," she told her as she faced the crowd. "This is a perfect example of what you should do if you no longer have your wands. Make sure to know when to attack your enemy. But not all of them will give up so easily."
Ron was trying to pick himself up, but Hermione walked over to him and held out her hand. Ron gladly accepted her hand and lifted him to his feet. "Bloody Hell, I never got my ass handed like that," Ron said as he couldn't feel his cheeks. "Remind me never to get you mad."
Hermione gave a small giggle at Ron's lame joke. "Got to admit that it felt good," she said before she started to scratch the back of her head. "I'm, uh… I'm sorry about Scabbers. But Crookshanks was with me when you yelled."
"It's fine. He was getting old anyway and wasn't eating as much," Ron said as he wasn't mad at her anymore. "But still, what happened?"
"Could of gotten sliced and ran. Even bleed to death," Hermione told him as they got off the table and headed to Harry.
"Still feel like tearing at each other some more," Harry asked, glad that the two were talking again.
"I think we're past that," Ron told his best friend. "If you stayed here, I would probably have blamed Sam."
"And I'm sure he would eat him," Harry said with a laugh. "Now, how about we plan out the next Hogsmeade visit."
"Sounds like a good idea," Ron said as Hermione agreed now that all three of them can go.
Later that night, Harry was still awake as he looked through the Marauder's Map, checking if Sirius Black was lurking around the castle at night. The Prince of Hell made sure everyone was asleep before looking at the map. Ron was awake for a few seconds because he had a bad dream about spiders wanting him to tap dance, but the boy fell back asleep in no time. Harry flipped through the map and paused as he saw the name of someone who many thought to be dead. Peter Pettigrew was wandering down the halls of the school.
He expected Black to be wandering, but Pettigrew was unexpected. "Come on, Sam. We're taking a midnight stroll," Harry told his pet snake in Parseltongue to not wake the others. Sam obliged as he saw his master slip on his shoes and exit the Common Room with the map in one hand and an illuminated wand in the other. Checking the routes of Filch and any other teachers on night watch duty while hiding from view, Harry made sure to follow the path to where Pettigrew was wandering around. It was strange because the man seemed like he was walking in a drunken stumble with how he moved from one side of the corridors to the other.
Harry soon reached the spot where he and Pettigrew were across from one another. However, Harry couldn't see anyone coming his way. He checked the map once more and saw that Pettigrew was coming closer to him. He was getting closer and closer until he was on top of Harry. Just then, Sam slithered down Harry's sleeves to see what was going on then suddenly jumped out shouting 'Mine!'
Harry was knocked to the floor and landed on his ass, but he quickly got back up. "Sam," Harry hissed as his snake was no longer in sight. Harry looked at the map and saw that Pettigrew passed him. He looked around waving his wand around and couldn't find anyone. The Prince of Hell looked at the map again and saw that Pettigrew was going down another hallway. Harry was gonna go looking for him, but then saw that Snape was closing in. 'I can't get away in time,' he thought to himself as he tapped on the wand. "Mischief Managed," he whispered as the Marauder's Map turned back into a piece of paper and then whispered "Nox," turning the light off his wand and then stuffing the map into his pockets.
After a few seconds, Snape came up to him with his own wand illuminated. "Magne. What are you doing wanding the castle this late at night?"
"Bathroom," Harry told him the best answer he could give him. "Can you lower your wand? It's hurting my eyes."
Snape did just that and lowered it to Harry's stomach. "Turn out your pockets," he ordered the Prince of Hell. "Now." Harry did as he showed the Poton Master the blank piece of paper that was the Marauder's Map. "What is this?"
"Parchment. Can I go to the bathroom now?"
"Not yet," Snape said to him and tapped his wand on the parchment. "Reveal your secrets," he said as the map showed a message. "Go on, read it."
Slightly rolling his eyes, Harry began to read the message that didn't show the map. "Misters Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs offer their complaints to Professor Snape, and… you're not going to like what it says."
"I think I'll manage," Snape said in a cold tone.
"Alright, but don't say I didn't warn you," Harry said before continuing what the paper said. "And request that he keep his abnormally large hook-shaped nose out of other people's business. Their words not mine," he said showing the message.
Snape's face grew red with anger as he read the message before he snapped. "Insolent little-"
"Professor."
Snape turned around to see the person who spoke behind him was none other than Professor Lupin. "Well, well. Lupin, out for a little walk in the moonlight?"
"Somewhat. Harry, what are you doing out this late," Lupin asked the boy.
"Need to use the bathroom," Harry spoke as he did have to go now.
"I caught Magne with this," Snape told the DADA teacher as he snatched the paper out from Harry's hands. "Seems to be in your area of expertise. It's clearly full of dark magic."
Lupin took a look at it for a few seconds and gave his answer. "I doubt it, Severus. Seems to insult anyone who reads it. I believe this is a Zonko product," he chuckled aloud. "Nevertheless, I should investigate any hidden qualities it may possess. After all, you said it was under my area of expertise," he said pulling it away from the Potions teacher. "Harry, would you come with me please?"
"Can we go to the bathroom first," Harry said hopping as if to say he really has to go.
"Of course," Lupin said as he lead him to the nearest boys' room and told Snape good night.
"TURN OFF THAT LIGHT," a portrait shouted at the head of Slytherin.
Annoyed, Snape kept walking and with a wave of his wand, the light from his wand dimmed to nothing.
After going to the bathroom, Harry had to follow Professor Lupin into his classroom as he knew he was not getting away from this. Lupin turned toward Harry with a look of disappointment. "I'm am astonished that you didn't turn this in earlier, Harry. Are you aware that this is a map of the entire school and can keep track of everyone's location?"
Harry was surprised that Professor Lupin did know that this was a map. He shook up his nerves and nodded his head.
"Did it occur to you that in the hands of Sirius Black, it could be used for his own benefits?"
"No, sir."
"Of course not. James wasn't always keen on abiding by the rules either. But he and your mother gave their lives to protect yours. And as I see it, wandering around the castle unprotected with a killer on the loose seems to be a poor way to repay them. Even the family that took you in, I'm sure they wouldn't allow you to wander off without anyone around to protect you," he scolded the dark-haired wizard. "I will not cover for you next time. Do you understand?"
"Yes, sir," Harry responded as he looked down in shame.
"Good. I want you to go to your dormitory, and stay there. And if you have to use the restroom, do so on that floor," Lupin told the Prince of Hell. "And no detours. I'll know if you do," he said as he tapped on the map, making it clear that he was keeping it with him for the foreseeable future.
Harry was ready to leave since he got a slap on the wrist and didn't want to test a worse punishment like detention on a Quidditch match, suspension on a Hogsmeade trip, or both. Harry was about to walk out but remembered what he couldn't find on the map. "Professor, I don't think that map works all the time. It had a name on there that wasn't there."
"And who's name was on that map?"
"Peter Pettigrew."
"How can that be?"
"Don't know. Just what I saw. Good night, Professor," Harry told him as he stepped out of the classroom and headed back towards his dormitory. On his way there, he saw something moving. "Who's there?"
"It's me," Sam hissed as he came up to Harry.
"There you are," Harry greeted his pet as he allowed him back to wrap around his body. "Don't jump like that again," he told the white-horned serpent. "By the way, why did you jump?"
"I saw something running across the floor. Maybe it was a rat I can eat," Sam said in hisses.
"A rat," Harry asked his loyal pet who nodded. Harry was starting to get a clearer picture. Maybe that's why Harry couldn't see Pettigrew before. He was so focused on what was in front of him that he didn't look down at his feet. The Prince of Hell soon realized that maybe Peter Pettigrew was an Animagus.
And that's a wrap! We are getting to the nitty gritty now. I want to thank WaterDragonMaverick for the beta reading and editing. Harry learns the Patronus charm, but uses a different memory since he grew up with the Morningstars. Next up will be the Quidditch matches and a surprise. Anyway, Read, Review, Follow and Favorite, and I will see all of you in Hell!
