Hello Sinners, I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter as we are coming to the end of the Prisoner of Azkaban arc. We will be seeing Sirius' trial and the aftermath. Also the ending of Harry's third year in Hogwarts before his vacation and the Goblet of Fire Arc. For now, let's answer some reviews.
Gamelover41592: You're welcome. Now we can get to the trial and see the results.
XXX777: Karma is a bitch that slaps you very hard. And Lucifer does have the best lawyers.
drake wind: Wormtail will now have a case of Ophidiophobia.
Jebest4781: Vaggie will be in the story soon since she died in 2014 and it is 2014 in the current timeline.
Joanne Frances Tiano Cajilig: They do make good pets and welcome to the family. Also, I don't think Lupin needs shots unless it's a cure for his Lycanthropy.
Fire Turtle(Guest): Good question. I will see if that can be possible since he can see through the invisibility cloak. As for wandless magic, that will come at a later date. Harry is more knowledgeable than in canon, but it may come at the Order arc of the Half-blood arc.
Keyblade Warlord: Now that we saw Bee-lzebub. And seeing that she is a Prince(sse) of Hell. She's like Harry and Charlie's honorary Aunt just like how Ozzy is their honorary Uncle.
Anyway, let's dive right into Hell!
Chapter 35: Lawyers from Hell
It was a pleasant morning in June. The sun was shining, the temperature was nice, and it was the day of Sirius Black's trial. He didn't know if he should be relieved or nervous about this day, but joy was one emotion that did come to him. The joy that they found Peter Pettigrew and were able to punish him for what happened. The joy that he would have a trial that would prove his innocence. And of course, the joy that he could see his godson again. He was currently being escorted by some folks from the Ministry of Magic with his hands and legs in chains because he was still a criminal to them. He went along willingly because he believed that with the evidence that was found, he would get a chance at freedom. Next to him was Pettigrew, who was cowering like the scared rat he was when Sirius looked at him. "Azkaban doesn't deserve you. I hope you get the Dementor's Kiss for what you did," Sirius snarled as Pettigrew sniveled even more.
"Sirius Black," a voice called out. Sirius turned to see Lucifer approaching him. "Lucas Magne. I'm Harry and Charlie's father. My lawyer and I are going to help with your defense."
"I would shake your hand if I wasn't chained up," Sirius said jokingly, showing his chained-up hands.
"You can do that after your trial," Lucifer said, lightly chuckling as he walked by the men from the Ministry.
"What about him," Sirius said, nodding his head towards Peter.
"Fuck that guy. I don't have to help him. He's on his own after what he did to Harry," Lucifer told the dark-haired man.
"I don't know how you got custody of Harry, but I like you already," Sirius said as the Ministry workers pushed him to move forward.
"That story will be for later. My lawyer will be meeting us shortly," Lucifer told him as they continued their walk through Hogwarts. Seeing as he couldn't use his hellish magic in front of humans, the King of Hell and their escort had to travel through the Floo Network. As they made their way to the Ministry, the King of Hell was met with some more Aurors that helped escort Sirius and Pettigrew to the courtroom.
Both Sirius and Pettigrew were taken into the courtroom by the Aurors and Sirius was seated in front while Pettigrew was being guarded by the Aurors. The dark-haired man was now facing many of the Wizengamot which included Cornelius Fudge and Amelia Bones. Fudge cleared his throat as he began to start. "We will now start the trial of Sirius Black. Originally, Black was to be given the Dementor's Kiss after escaping Azkaban. But due to new evidence that has come to light, he will be tried for his supposed original crime of the mass murder of 12 Muggle civilians," Fudge announced. Many of the witches and wizards present mumbled to themselves as they wondered why Sirius was getting a trial. "Is your defense ready?"
Before Sirius could answer, Lucifer came walking through the doors with a man that had a face full of stubble and a dark suit. The man was holding a briefcase and had a professional look of a man who would accomplish his goals efficiently. "The defense is ready, ladies and gentlemen," the man said with a gruff voice as he walked alongside the King of Hell.
"And who are you," Fudge asked the man.
"You may call me Crowley," the man now known as Crowley said to the Minister of Magic and everyone around. "I'll be representing Sirius Black under Lucas Magne. What are the charges?"
"The charges are for the betrayal of James and Lily Potter, the murder of 12 Muggles with a single Curse, and breaking out of Azkaban," Fudge read off. "How does the defense plea?"
"Two out of the three, Not Guilty," Sirius spoke up. "Not guilty of betraying my friends to the Dark Lord and not guilty of killing those 12 Muggles. I do admit to escaping Azkaban to prove my innocence of the first two charges, however."
"Very well. We shall discuss those two events first," Fudge said, putting on his glasses as he read the document in front of him. "First, the betrayal of James and Lily Potter. It was stated that you were made the Secret Keeper of the Potter family's location. Is this true?"
"Originally, yes. James and Lily knew they were targeted by the Dark Lord, so they wanted to have their location hidden and trusted my client to be their Secret Keeper. But at the last minute changed it to the man you see right behind him today," Crowley stated as he pointed his finger at Pettigrew.
"And why was it changed so suddenly," Amelia Bones asked curiously.
"That I can answer very easily," Crowley said as he pulled out a paper. "It was stated that there were many spies within the Ministry. That included those close to Dumbledore as he and many others, including the Potters, suspected that information was being passed on."
"I would like the defendant to explain it himself," Amelia Bones said to the demon in disguise.
"It was so that if everyone thought I was Secret Keeper, the Dark Lord would go after me instead. That way, Pettigrew would seem less suspicious," Sirius admitted. "But it turned out he was the spy and went to the Dark Lord, telling him about their location. After I found out, I went to the Potter home and saw the building was in ruins. Both of my friends were dead."
"It was confirmed by the statement of Rubius Hagrid. The big fellow I defended last year as I'm sure some of you know," Crowley told the Wizengamot. "After that, it was stated that he looked for Harry, thinking he was kidnapped. I just have to ask if you bloody wankers have any objections so far?"
"None," Fudge said as he didn't want to argue with the lawyer as he pointed out facts. "Moving on to the next part of the case. The deaths of the 12 Muggles," Fudge stated. "According to many witnesses, before their memories were affected by the charms we used, you used a single curse to kill those people."
"Objection! My client claims that this was not done by him, but by that scheming little rat that right behind us," Crowley said, pointing to Pettigrew.
"And what makes you so sure that Sirius Black isn't lying and framed Mr. Pettigrew as a means of escape," asked a voice that sounded sweet, but carried a harsh tone if you paid attention. Crowley and Lucifer looked at the source to see a witch with a toad-like face, making her look like an evil grandmother.
"Because, you cunt, as soon as the spy was made aware by my client, he tracked down Peter Pettigrew to the location where he was cornered and used a Blasting Curse on a pipeline that killed those dozen civilians. Then during the chaos, he cut his finger right off before transforming into a rat," Crowley addressed the court while insulting what he could only describe as Kermit the Frog's disowned aunt.
Many of the members murmured to one another. "Order! Order," Fudge said as he pounded the stamp-sized gavel. "Mr. Crowley, you have no right to insult a member of the Wizengamot!"
"Can I if they insult me first," Crowley retorted, causing Fudge's face to look purple for a second. "I know. Irrelevant question. But looking through these records that day, there was a construction site doing some maintenance," the demon lawyer stated as he showed the records. "I'm sure everyone knows that the spell causes an explosion. But if it was used with a flow of flammable gas around... Well, I'm sure everyone has seen matches thrown on a leaking propane tank. Because of that spell's usage and the resulting crater exposing pipes, it was quite simple to rewrite the memories of the witnesses and bystanders to say it was a gas leak that caused a tragedy."
"We do get the picture. I was there when Sirius was arrested at the scene of the crime. He was laughing to himself like a madman," Fudge said, reading over the documents. "It was stated yesterday that Pettigrew cut off his finger and transformed into a rat. He has been stated to be an unregistered Animagus. Were you aware of this?"
"I am," Sirius told the Minister. "Pettigrew is an unregistered Animagus. And so am I."
Crowley looked at Sirius like he should have stayed quiet, but the lawyer turned back to look at Lucifer. The King of Hell only nodded to show he thought it would be best for Sirius to give all the details needed.
"Please explain yourself," Amelia Bones requested.
"It all goes back to when I was a student at Hogwarts. One of my friends had a condition that required consistent ingestion of potions every month or he'd have these sorts of attacks during the night," Sirius elaborated.
"What sort of condition? And who has it? I have to remind you that you're under oath," questioned the toad-like witch in a voice that sounded so sweet that one could lose their teeth by listening to her.
"My friend, Remus J. Lupin has had lycanthropy since he was a child," Sirius said, causing the Wizengamot to erupt when they heard about somebody from Hogwarts being a werewolf.
"Order! Order," Fudge shouted over them to calm the members on the stand. "Mister Black, please continue your explanation."
Sirius cleared his throat before he explained more. "Because of my friend's condition, myself, Pettigrew, and James Potter all decided to become Animagus to protect our friend and keep his secret until now. After we managed to acquire our animal forms, we knew exactly how to keep him from harming others," he said before saying just how he helped Lupin when he turned. "James and I would use the strength we acquired to hold back Lupin when he changed into a werewolf. As we did, Pettigrew would become a rat and use a secret passage that allowed us to put him into the tunnels that lead toward the abandoned house that locals have dubbed 'The Shrieking Shack'. The rumors of screams and howls were all just Lupin in his werewolf form going through the night in isolation. We've made sure that he took his Wolfsbane Potion when possible, but that was our plan for when the full moon was approaching."
As the council murmured to themselves, Fudge looked at the accused man. "Since you revealed this statement to the court, you should know that revealing yourself as an unregistered Animagus, it's a punishable offense because of strict regulations being violated. You would be sent back to Azkaban."
"Hold the phone! You mean to tell me you'll send this man back to that hellhole under a lesser crime," Crowley asked with a hint of fury in his voice. "He only did it to help a pal of his. There should be a lesser punishment because of his good intentions."
Another murmur from the Wizengamot echoed as most did agree that sending an innocent man of a crime he didn't commit back to jail on a lesser crime seemed unfair. Especially given the circumstances of why he had to commit that offense. "Order," Fudge called out as he banged his gavel once again. "There's still one thing I don't understand. How is it that you escaped Azkaban in the first place," he asked Sirius.
"I was able to keep myself from being affected by the Dementors because I knew I was innocent. But because I didn't know where Pettigrew was, I didn't bother leaving. When I saw his Animagus form in the Daily Prophet, I knew where I had to go. So I changed into my animal form and escaped my cell. Once I was out, I swam from Azkaban's location in the middle of the North Sea to shore," Sirius explained.
Everyone gawked at the fact that Sirius said that while he was a dog, he swam from an island fortress in the middle of the ocean to the mainland. All the while he was affected by Dementors, emaciated, and out of practice with his magic. Lucifer and Crowley smirked at how impressive that was. "I like this guy," Crowley said.
"It's time to decide on the verdict. Please excuse us for a moment," Fudge said as he went to the other members of the Wizengamot. Sirius, Lucifer, and Crowley all watched as the members of the council left the room to decide the fate of the criminal. After ten minutes of waiting, Fudge and the Wizengamot returned with the Minister taking the podium once again. "Looking at this evidence, we find Sirius Black innocent of betraying the Potters to… You-Know-Who and the deaths of 12 Muggles. However, since you are an unregistered Animagus. You will have to pay the fine of 100 Galleons and register yourself into the system," the Minister said as he brought the gavel down.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Sirius was glad that he no longer had to go to that hellhole of a prison. The Aurors came towards the former convict and undid his chains, allowing them to drop on the floor. He approached the King of Hell and he finally shook his hand. "Thank you for giving me the freedom I deserved."
"Don't thank me. That honor belongs to Crowley," Lucifer said as he pointed to the Lawyer.
"You're welcome. Just don't be kissing my ass later," Crowley said, putting the paperwork in his briefcase.
"Since you're a free man. Let's tell Harry and Charlie the good news," Lucifer told the former convict.
"I want to stay a little longer," Sirius told the Devil as he eyed his former friend. "I want to see what they'll give him," he said, watching Pettigrew look at him.
"With that done we will move onto the trial of Peter Pettigrew," Fudge says reading the file. "Will you be defending him, Mr. Crowley?"
"I was only paid to defend Sirus," Crowley said as he and Lucifer were currently playing cards. "That piss-stain rat's on his own. Got any 5s?"
"Go fish. Got any 9s," Lucifer told his friend and lawyer.
"Since there is no one willing to defend you, we will continue with the sentence," Fudge said, reading off Pettigrew's case. "Peter Pettigrew, you are hereby charged with the betrayal of James and Lily Potter, alleging yourself to the Dark Lord, the murders of 12 Muggles, and illegally becoming an Animgus."
"You might want to add the fact he's been hiding as the Weasley's pet rat like a creep to the list," Crowley added as he continued to play cards "Got any 10s?"
"Here you go," Lucifer told him as he handed the cards over, then looked at the witches and wizards judging the rat-like man. "I agree with my lawyer."
"Well, we might as well add that to the testimony," Fudge said as scribbling that down to add to Pettigrew's list of crimes. "How do you plea to these charges?"
"He pleas Guilty, since there's no way out of his situation," Crowley told the court.
"You said you weren't my lawyer! No, I plead Not Guilty," Pettigrew spoke out for the first time today.
"Then let's read off you're statement," Fudge said. "The first one is betraying James and Lily Potter to the Dark Lord as you told him where they are located."
"I…I…I…" Pettigrew muttered as he couldn't think of an answer.
"You killed 12 Muggles with a single spell and blamed it on Sirius Black by cutting off your finger and making it seem like you were an additional victim."
"I-"
"Transforming into a rat to make it look like you died a hero's death while you just fled like a coward!"
"Well, I had a reason."
"And what reason is that," Fudge asked.
"I was in hiding," Pettigrew argued.
"Hiding from Voldemort," Lucifer said, putting down a pair of Kings many of the Wizengamot gasped as the King of Hell said the Dark Lord's name. "Oh, don't gasp like that. It's not like he's going to pop up and kill everyone in this room. At least, not yet. But let's say he told Voldemort where the Potters were, which led to his defeat. He still had followers and I'm sure many knew Pettigrew was a spy. They may think he led Voldemort to his doom and would like to tear him limb from limb."
"That's a lie! I was hiding from Sirius Black," Pettigrew told the court.
"Even though he was already in jail," Crowley asked as the members of the Wizengamot muttered in agreement with the lawyer. "He may have wanted to go after him, but this shit-stain went into hiding for 12 years. Why else would he be someone's pet rat?"
The Wizengamot muttered to one another as the lawyer from hell made valid points once more. "Order! Order," Fudge declared, quieting down the Wizengamot. "I think I heard enough. All in favor of Peter Pettigrew being Guilty," Fudge asked, raising his hand as did so. Everyone on the Wizengamot quickly followed suit and raised their own hands. "All opposed?" Nobody raised their hand when Fudge asked that option. "Then, it's decided. Peter Pettigrew is found guilty of all charges and his Order of Merlin shall be revoked. He will be sent to Azkaban for the Dementor's Kiss," the Minister said as he slammed his gavel. "Your mother would be very disappointed in you."
"No! No, wait! Please! Anything but that," Pettigrew screamed in terror at the thought of the dementors sucking out his soul or that his fellow Death Eaters killing him as the Aurors took him away.
"Well, that went well," Crowley said as he started to pack his things in his briefcase. "Shall we go on and celebrate?"
"We shall, but I want to see my godson first," Sirius told both men.
"Not looking like a bum, you aren't," Lucifer said as he eyed the ex-convict head to toe as he was still wearing his prison uniform. "Let's get you cleaned up and wear something decent before we see Harry and Charlie. I'll also bring my wife. Pretty sure the entire family would like to see you."
"I am curious about the people who adopted Harry," Sirius remarked as they walked out of the courtroom and into the main lobby.
"We'll take a shortcut to Hogwarts," Lucifer said as he led Sirius and Crowley somewhere they could be more private, then reached a dead end. "This should do nicely. You might want to hold onto my shoulder," he told Sirius. The ex-convict and lawyer held onto the King of Hell, who then snapped his fingers.
Sirius was suddenly dragged around with the color red filling his vision. Suddenly, the trio were in a room that looked like a castle's chamber. It was decorated with pictures of unicorns, kittens, and puppies. The room color was a mix of black and red with some pink added for decoration. On a shelf, some objects looked to be demonic such as small statuary and decorative weapons. "Where are we?"
"Hogwarts," Lucifer told Sirius as he fixed the sleeves on his coat. "Inside Charlie's office, to be precise. She doesn't seem to be here at the moment. Must be in the Great Hall or checking on Harry."
Sirius was amazed that they were able to get to Hogwarts since it was impossible to apparate inside the school. But to his surprise, this man was able to bring himself and others there like it was no trouble. Then again, he had suspicions. The man he knew as Lucas Magne was a mysterious, yet powerful man. He may even be more powerful than Dumbledore and Voldemort combined. Just who was this man?
Suddenly, the door opened to reveal Charlie walking into the room. The Princess of Hell stopped in front of the door to see the three men in her office. "Did the trial go well," she asked, closing the door behind her.
"Not Guilty," Sirius said.
With a big smile on her face, Charlie ran across the room and gave Sirius a bear hug that could break somebody's spine. "I'm so glad you're a free man, Uncle Sirius!"
"Uncle," Sirius asked as he tilted his head and made Lucifer wide-eyed.
Realizing what she said, the Princess of Hell stepped back from the former convict and looked at him sheepishly. "I figure since you're Harry's godfather and I'm his sister, I thought I could call you Uncle. Is that okay?"
The ex-convict thought about it. This girl and her father went out of their way to fight for his defense and looked after Harry all these years. He only knew them a day, but it would be nice to have a family again. "You can call me Uncle if you want. I always wanted a niece."
"Yes! I can't wait to tell Harry and the others," Charlie said, going out the door with lightning-fast speed.
"I think we should tell Albus the news first. I'm sure he'll want a report of this," Lucifer said as he and Crowley walked out the door.
"Maybe I'll be able to use the Prefect bathroom," Sirius chuckled as he followed.
After the explanation given to Lucifer, Dumbledore allowed Sirius to use the Prefect bathroom to clean himself up. After that, Crowley and Lucifer provided him with a well-made black suit that had cufflinks that resembled a dog's head. The ex-convict also trimmed his facial hair to have a short beard and mustache. His once dry, waxy hair now had color in it and was much silkier. "I feel like a new man already," Sirius said, checking himself over.
"You look like a new man," Crowley stated. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to be somewhere," the lawyer said as he excused himself.
"Shall we go and see the kids now," the King of Hell asked the former convict.
"Yes, please," Sirius said as he and Lucifer walked to the Great Hall. On their way, they met up with a tall, beautiful, silver-eyed, blonde woman halfway through. 'Holy crap. I have never seen someone so beautiful in my entire life. Is she single?'
"There you are, dear," Lilith said as she was walking towards her husband and the ex-con. The latter muttered a curse in silence as he saw that she was Lucifer's wife. "So the trial went well, I assume?"
"Just as I expected, Apple Pie," Lucifer grinned as he held his wife's waist, head resting on her stomach. Remembering he had someone in front of him. The King of Hell let go of his wife and introduced her. "Oh, where are my manners? Sirius, I would like you to meet my wife, Lilith."
"Pleased to meet you, Sirius. If you want, you can call me Lily," the Queen of Hell told Sirius.
"I won't be able to forget that name. It was the same as Harry's mother," Sirius said, kissing her hand.
"Oh, what a charmer," Lilith giggled.
"Yes, quite the charmer," Lucifer said with a small hint of annoyance in his tone. "Anyway, Harry should be out of his classes by now. Let's go and see him."
"Let's," Sirius agreed. "And I know a good place to meet them," he said leading the married couple to where he can see Harry.
During Potions class, Harry felt like Snape was going really hard on the entire class, including Slytherin. He was thankful when the lesson ended and walked alongside his friends. "Anybody else feel exhausted already," Harry asked.
"Potions was brutal," Ron said as he walked with a limp due his bite wound from Sirius grabbing him before. It was healing up nicely thanks to the treatment he managed to recieve earlier. He wasn't in pain anymore, but he still needed a couple days before he was back to normal.
"It could have been worse," Hermione said to the red-haired wizard.
"Yeah, and I bet that Time-Turner of yours makes things a lot easier," Ron said as he, Harry, and her headed to the Great Hall.
"I gave it back to Professor McGonagall after that last time I used it," she told him. "I bit off more than I could chew with all those classes I took this year."
"It's for the best. Don't want you to overload on your studies," Harry commented as he saw Charlie coming his way. "Charlie?"
The Princess of Hell took a deep breath before she placed her hands on her hips and smiled at the trio. "I have some good news. Sirius was found innocent."
"Really?! He got proven innocent," Harry asked as this was the first good news he got all day. "And what about Pettigrew?"
"Guilty as fuck," Charlie confirmed to the trio. "He's going to be sent to Azkaban and given the Dementor's Kiss. I was going to go get you so we can reunite with Uncle Sirius."
"Uncle Sirius," Harry asked with a raised brow but smiled. "It makes sense since he is my godfather."
"Come on. I'll take you to him," Charlie said as she dragged Harry away from his friends.
"Wait, what about the others," Harry asked as he was looking at Ron and Hermione just watching their friend be dragged away like a piece of furniture.
"We'll see you later, Harry," Hermione called out as she and Ron waved at their friend.
The Princess of Hell continued pulling her brother toward where she could try finding the rest of her family but had no clue where they were. "Charlie, can you slow down," Harry asked his sister.
"No can do. So excited for you to talk with Sirius," she said as she looked for the man and their parents. "Where are they?"
"Try Professor Lupin's class," Harry suggested. Charlie smiled and pulled him into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. When they entered, they saw Professor Lupin looking like his normal self and packing away several items. Lucifer, Lilith, and Sirius were all helping the professor with everything just before they all noticed Charlie and Harry. "Professor Lupin? What's going on?"
"I'm resigning," Lupin told the teenager.
"Resigning? But why," Charlie asked as she knew Lupin did nothing wrong.
"That would be my fault. While explaining myself and proving my innocence, I had to tell the Ministry that Remus was a werewolf," Sirius told her as he put a pile of books away. "Which I apologize for, Remus."
"It's not your fault. It was bound to happen," Lupin said as he checked everything and handed Harry back the Marauder's Map. "This belongs to you now. Keep it safe and use it well."
"Thank you," Harry said, putting the enchanted map into his pocket. "I'm glad we're all here. There is something I wanted to tell you both," he said, looking at Sirius and Lupin.
Figuring what the Prince of Hell was going to say, Lilith intervened. "Harry, are you sure?"
"It's fine, Mom. I can trust them," Harry said to his mother.
"It's alright, Apple Pie. These two men were close to his actual parents, so it's only fair," Lucifer reassures her. Lilith smiled at her husband as she took his hand as Harry started to explain everything.
After a few minutes of Harry telling Sirius and Lupin. Both men reacted like most people would and were in surprised silence. "So, Hell is real," Lupin spoke first, breaking the silence and looking at Lucifer and Lilith. "You're the actual full-on Devil? And you're the Mother of Monsters?"
"Yup," Lucifer said as his sclera turned red and his irises became yellow.
"You say that like it's a bad thing," Lilith chuckled with a smirk on her lips.
"I can't believe my godson was adopted by one of the most power beings to exist," Sirius said, looking at the devil and his wife. His eyes then turned to Charlie. "Then does that mean Charlie here is the Anti-"
"Not in the way you're thinking," Harry stated, interrupting his godfather. "Do you really think that Charlie is like what a regular person would imagine that idea as?"
"I've known her for less than a year and I saw no evil in her," Lupin replied. "It's ironic since she is the devil's daughter. No offense."
"None taken," Lucifer said to him. "I've rebelled against Heaven itself, but I love my family."
"What is Hell like? Is it fire and brimstone? Or is it something else," Sirius asked.
"It depends on where you are, but we live in an area that's mostly just like a modern city," Lilith told the ex-convict. "If your gonna ask, yes. There would be some of your family down there."
"I never cared for them that much," Sirius dryly remarked before being more sincere with his next words. "I'm just glad Harry is with a family that loves him. I heard that Dumbledore wanted him to be with his fatass uncle and his horse-faced wife. I bet they're in Hell."
"Maybe, but there is a chance they're dead there too," Charlie stated. She may hate Extermination Day but from what she learned from Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Hagrid about the family Harry would have been left with, she would make that exception.
"You can die again in Hell," Sirius asked, surprised that such a thing can exist.
"Yes, there is such a thing. But we can discuss this later," Lucifer said as he packed the last things for Lupin.
"Dad, isn't there something you can do for Professor Lupin," Harry asked his father.
"There is something, but it's going to be painful," Lucifer said as he looked at Lupin for confirmation.
"If it helps, I can't refuse the offer," Lupin said, agreeing to take Lucifer's offer.
"Alright, I'm mainly doing this because of Harry," Lucifer said as he placed his hands on the Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher's temple, muttering in demonic tongue as the professor felt his skull splitting in two. The devil kept up with his chanting as Lupin's memories flashed before his eyes. His memory of going to Hogwarts, the time Fenrir Greyback bit him, how he became friends with James and Sirius, and the time he had with Harry throughout the year. When Lucifer stopped his muttering, he took both hands off Lupin's head and took a few steps back.
Lupin felt dizzy as his focus was all over the place. As soon as he started to see straight he asked the important question. "What did you do?"
"Nothing too extreme. Since I couldn't take away the condition, I just made it so you'll always have a choice during a full moon," Lucifer told the werewolf.
"You're telling me that I can control myself when transformed," Lupin asked.
"Correct," Lucifer said with a grin.
"That's a relief," Lupin sighed with a large smile on his face. It wasn't a full cure, but it benefited him immensely. "I'll remember this kindness you've given me, but I should head off," he said packing the last of his luggage before heading off. "Harry, Sirius, Charlie, don't forget to write," he told the three with a smile before leaving.
"Take care, Remus," Sirius waved goodbye to his old friend before facing the Morningstars. "I have a lot of catching up to do. So where should we start?"
"Probably, welcome to the family," Harry said offering his hand to Sirius, who pulled him into a hug.
"Not a day went by worrying about me thinking about you, Harry," Sirius told his godson before getting a look at him. "You look just like James, but have your mother's eyes."
"Yeah, I was told about that before," Harry commented with a smile.
"Did you enjoy the Firebolt I got for you on Christmas," Sirius asked.
"So you did send me that Firebolt. And yeah, it's incredible. If you hadn't then, I would probably be riding a worse broom and we wouldn't have won the Quidditch House Cup," Harry chuckled as he and the family walked to the Great Hall to have their the last day of the school year.
Meanwhile
Peter Pettigrew was being shipped out to Azkaban with four Aurors surrounding him. Because of the special heavy chains on him to keep him from using any sort of magic, the wizards couldn't magically transport him. As such, they loaded him up in a carriage that was pulled by winged horses. One driver urged the horses to move faster as the other three Aurors kept their wands ready in case Pettigrew tried anything.
"To think this sniveling man once earned an Order of Merlin," one Auror scoffed.
"Too bad. He brought his poor mother to shame after we found her," said another Auror.
"What do you mean," Pettigrew asked as he was now afraid of what happened to his mother.
"After your trial, news spread really fast and a paper was delivered immediately," the first Auror said. "Saying how you were the real culprit and how you blamed Sirius Black for a crime you committed. So, we wanted to give back the medal you received falsely only to find your dear mum hanging from the ceiling with the newspaper under her feet."
"Mum's dead," Peter Pettigrew asked with a distraught voice, finding it hard to believe that his mother killed herself.
"Yes, she is. And it's your fault," the second Auror said as he looked at the third Auror, who was quiet for the entire ride. "You okay there, mate? Haven't said anything for a while."
The third Auror was silent as he had his wanded pointed at Pettigrew for the entire time. Just then, he aimed at the first Auror and cast a spell. "Stupifiy!" The first Auror was stunned immediately when the blast of magic hit him. Then the traitor hit the second Auror with the same spell, stunning him. With both escorts unable to move, the one that betrayed them kicked them out so they fell into the sea. After seeing them splash in the water and fall to a drowning demise, the Auror then teleported out of the carriage. Hearing the chaos, the carriage driver then saw the Auror apparate next to him before he was hit with the killing curse. "Avada Kadavra!" With the driver's body falling into the water with the other two, the mysterious man grabbed onto the reigns of the horses and turned the carriage around back to the mainland.
After the trip back to England, the mysterious man landed near a small village with a huge abandoned house that was on a hill. Nature took the building over as it was covered with vines and the walls showed age with cracks in the stonework. The mysterious man then got off the carriage and opened the door to see Pettigrew shaking in fear as he didn't know who this man was or what he intended to do with him. The man pointed his wand at the rat looking man as he waited for his fate. Suddenly, his chains were broken and he was freed. Pettigrew looked confused as he wondered who his savior was and why he was free. The mysterious man the removed the hood he was wearing and revealed himself to be a pale man with a mop of straw blond hair in his thirties. Pettigrew reconized the man instantly. "Crouch."
"In the flesh," Barty Crouch Jr. grinned evilly as he gave a mocking bow to Pettigrew.
"How? They said you died in Azkaban," Pettigrew asked as he belived the man who had a part to play for the Longbottoms decent into madness.
"I can't revel my secrets just yet. But don't think I saved you because I care. I did it because our Dark Lord has plans for you," Barty Crouch Jr. said with a mischievous grin.
"He's here?" Pettigrew said with a whimper as he knew that he was out of the frying pan and into the fire as his lord was somewhere in the manor.
Okay, I think this is a good place to stop the chapter. The Prisoner of Azkaban arc is ending and next is the Goblet of Fire Arc. In that one, I'll take more material from the books more than the movie since the movie skimmed through alot of important stuff. In other news, Sirius is found innocent and Pettigrew's crimes are revealed, even through Crouch Jr. saved him from the Dementor's Kiss. I based Crowley off of Mark Sheppard's character of the same name in Supernatural. Speaking of Supernatural, I posted a poll up about if I should do a crossover with them and Hazbin Hotel/Helluva boss and the vote won 17 saying yes over the 9 that said no. So I'll plan that out. I might do it based on the last season of the series in a AU. But if you guys have suggestions, comment me or PM me and I'll listen if it makes sense. Also thanks to WaterDragonMaverick for editing and beta reading the story and remember to follow, favorite and review. And as always, I'll see all of you in Hell!
