GT: *in a hole* Come on! We're burning daylight! *a breaking sound is heard* Aw man...My shovel broke. *a Boltound jumps out of the hole and runs off past SZ* Good boy! Go get the spare shovel!
SZ: Heya guys and gals! As you can tell..we are in a good poke mood thanks to the latest dlc for Pokemon Sword and Shield
GT: Yep! *Boltound comes back in with Foxy's pirate hook arm and dropped it in* No, Bolty, a shovel. Not Foxy's hook arm. *tosses it back up and the Boltound runs out* As for why I'm in a hole, I'm digging for fossils to revive into freaky mix-and-match Pokemon like the four in Galar. Funny enough, that mix and match fossil business is a real thing in terms of being done by folks combining different fossils to make new creatures.
SZ: Eeyup..and I happen to have all four of the fossils...hmm...you think that new Cram-o-matic machine might be capable of making the fossils as they were?
GT: No clue, but it'd be neat. *Bolty drops down something* Bolty, this is a stick. Not a shovel. *tosses it back up and Bolty goes off once more* Good doggo, but dumb when it comes to getting shovels.
SZ: Ahem! Anyways, we don't own anything aside from original content.
GT: Yep. So let's be…*Bolty drops something into the hole* Bolty, this is a stick of TNT! A lit stick of TNT!
SZ: AHH! *grabs the TNT before attempting to throw it out...only for it to explode*
Entry 041: Hello. Kajun Faycott reporting. It has been a while since we did this, but due to events going on, we haven't had time to update it. This will be a bit of a long update, but I will attempt to summarize as best as I can while including all details. To begin, we arrived in Crimson City, the city closest to the Raizen Mountain Range. It is there we met La's boyfriend, Takeru, and his talking Pikachu Edison. I must admit that it was quite nice to have someone to speak with that was able to keep up with me in a subject of interest. During our time there, some of us participated in a small tournament going on. It was during this tournament that Ashton would fight against Takeru, who has a rather unique Charizard named Joan.
Takeru and Joan used the battle as a way to help Ashton with Charmeleon's attitude and even showed that Joan could perform Mega Evolution! It was rather breathtaking in how powerful Joan became from it. Though with all good things, there were also...issues. Mainly in that this one woman, Karai, that enjoys flirting with Makoto was also in it. She was able to beat the woman with Booster. A bit after that, the tournament was halted because of Billy and Kid attacking the town with a mechanical Moltres. And it was there that Takeru introduced to us a new kind of ability we had never witnessed: Dynamax...or, rather, Gigantamax. It was shocking to see Edison go from a small Pikachu to a gigantic one that has enough power to equal an entire power plant and one-shot Team Rocket. I'd love to learn more about the Dynamax Phenomenon.
We also learned that La and Takeru were like the rest of us: people who came from other worlds through the Ultra Wormholes and La, her real name being Cyber, is a member of the International Pokemon Police in their secret Ultra Wormhole Division under the pseudonym 'Agent La.' While Takeru had to go, he gave Ashton's Pokedex an update with all the information about the Pokemon of the Galar Region. I think I spent most of the trip going to the top of the Raizen Mountains studying the new Pokemon entries.
When we reached the top, while learning about the history of the Raizen Mountains and Ho-Oh on the way thanks to a travelling professor that was also looking for Ho-Oh, Ashton prepared to offer the Rainbow Wing to summon Ho-Oh….when that horrid trainer Cross appeared with the intent of not just stealing the Rainbow Wing...but to kill Ho-Oh. Entei, Suicune, and Raikou appeared while Marshadow emerged from Ashton's shadow in order to be witnesses to Cross's challenge to Ashton with La having to be the referee on their orders. Seems being able to talk to Pokemon has some negatives at times. During the battle between them, Ashton's Charmeleon evolved into Charizard and they were able to achieve Mega Evolution as well to beat Cross and his Incineroar.
And then...well...I'll be taking a page out of Makoto's book since it sums up everything: Shit hit the fan. Cross stole the Rainbow Wing and ended up corrupting it. Marshadow attempted to dispel the corruption, only to fall under the corruption instead and proceeded to make all the wild Pokemon and a few of ours even become corrupt and attack us! To sum it up...the corrupted Marshadow was attempting to shatter the bonds between humans and Pokemon all over the world...all because Cross wanted to prove his way of thinking is the only way to train Pokemon, and because Ho-Oh didn't choose him to hold the Rainbow Wing.
Even when we got help from Grey Void and her two comrades...they corrupted Pokemon still kept coming until Entei, Raikou and Suicune chased them off with a combined Roar. We thought things would settle...but next came probably the scariest moment I have ever seen since me and my friends came here...Marshadow not just corrupted the three...but it changed them into something else. Something the professor called 'Shadow Pokemon,' Pokemon whose hearts have been sealed off and made into something malevolent, insane...evil. They attacked Ashton and Pikachu and...e-excuse me…
Um...Mai Natsume replacing Kajun for the rest of the report. Yeah...Ash...Ash actually died protecting Pikachu. And, well, while everyone was taking it hard...Pikachu...he, uh...he was hurt the most by it all. And when Pikachu gets hurt, it doesn't end well for whoever hurts him. La told us later that the lightning bolt Pikachu let out that beat all four Legendary Pokemon was compared to another Legendary Pokemon by Entei, Suicune, and Raikou. Sure, they were knocked out, but Ash was still...yeah. And then the Pokemon started crying. Somehow, their tears managed to bring Ash back to life! I...I'm completely stunned by it all. We...we witnessed a miracle. The Rainbow Wing was even purified and...well Ash used it to summon Ho-Oh and...I...I'm at a loss for words. He turned down catching it...to battle Ho-Oh instead! It took a few hours for Ash to lose and it was just amazing!
After resting up at the Pokemon Center, we parted ways with Cross...who believe it or not had a change of heart…huh. Guess he finally got it into his head that power's not everything. La told us that she, Takuma, and Ken were going to split up from us to start either training up for the Pokemon League or to finish getting their Badges, but she left us a lot of gifts and even an Evolution Stone that Celsius used to evolve into a Glaceon. Honestly, I can see why Noel likes carrying Yuki now. She makes things nice and cool, especially in the desert we're going through right now.
"Ahh~" Makoto yawned a bit, rubbing her eyes a little as the group traveled through a canyon-like area, "Anyone still tired from Jigglypuff's Song?"
"How can you still be sleepy from that?" Ash asked.
"Maybe because the fact it kept putting us to sleep through the entire day," Mai muttered, giving her own yawn, "Good thing we got those marker scribbles off our faces…"
"And what sucks is that the marker she swiped was Kajun's self-inking marker," Makoto added, "As long as Jigglypuff can find water, it'll be able to keep using that marker without running out of ink."
"Meaning next time we meet it and it uses Sing on us, we get inked," Makoto sighed, her ears and tail drooping, "Great…"
"She looked so cute, too…" Noel noted, holding Yuki as the fox-like Pokemon was letting out small bits of snow from her tails with a pacifier in her mouth.
"We should be able to get to the next port town through Grandpa Canyon," Tsubaki muttered, reading the map with Brock.
"Grandpa Canyon?" Mai repeated, Celsius tilting her head in Mai's arms.
"It's said it used to be a canyon where tons of prehistoric Pokemon used to live," Brock answered, "Now these days it's the resting place of them."
"Prehistoric Pokemon?" Misty pondered.
"Ah, you mean Pokemon like Kabuto and Omanyte?" Kajun asked.
"Yup," Brock replied.
"Interesting...perhaps we c..." Kajun began.
"Hey, what's going on down there?" Ash spoke, making the others stop as they looked ahead, seeing a line of people walking down a path, carrying some shovels and pickaxes.
"It seems that they're going to be digging something up," Kajun noted.
"YELLOW!"
"OH GEEZE!" Ash yelped, jumping up and spinning around to see Leaf glaring at him while dressed in an exploration outfit, "L-Leaf!"
"You encountered all the Legendary Dogs and never told anyone but Red?" Leaf demanded.
"Um…"
"You are being fined P200," Leaf stated.
"Aw man…" Ash groaned.
"So, uh, hi there?" Makoto greeted.
"Heya!" Leaf beamed, waving at them, "Guess you all heard about a group of scientists from Cinnabar Island are at the canyon?"
"Huh?" Brock pondered.
"Yeah. They're testing out a portable Fossil Restoration device," Leaf explained, "Blue and I are here to dig some up so they can revive them for us!"
"Revive?" Kajun repeated, instantly before her as she had her notebook out, "Please explain."
"I don't get all the scientific talk about it, but what they do is take something in the fossils and then bring 'em back to life through cloning," Leaf explained, "Trainers who find fossils for them to revive get the first Pokemon that's cloned from that fossil."
"?" Makoto's ears perked up at that, her mind going to that fossil she ended up buying back in Pewter City, "Oh? Neat!"
"So where is Gary?"
"He's already down there digging," Leaf replied, pointing towards the canyon, "So far? Zilch. No one has had any luck, but the day's just started!"
"You want to make a profit off the fossils, don't you?" Ash asked, flinching at the look Leaf gave him, "Nevermind."
"I don't like this," Brock frowned, "Digging up old Pokemon fossils is just wrong, especially since they've been resting in the ground for such a long time."
"And yet people still dig them up in order to learn about the past," Kajun replied.
"Brock, you're gonna lose this argument," Mai advised, "Kajun has become intrigued and wants to see this fossil restoration thing in action."
"Mai knows me quite well," Kajun admitted.
"Plus I bet those old Pokemon would love some fresh air after so long," Misty added.
"I think it's your brain that needs fresh air," Ash snorted, the group unaware of a small pink round Pokemon peeking out from behind some rocks.
"Who asked you?!" Misty snapped.
"Ya want me to triple the amount you're being fined for?" Leaf warned.
"No, ma'am!" Ash yelped, hiding behind Kajun.
"Good. Then onwards!" Leaf declared as she ran off to the canyon, "Last one of the three of us to find a fossil and revive it owes me P500!"
"GH!" Ash tensed as he bolted ahead.
"Ash wait up!" Mai called out as she and hte others gave chase.
"Jigglypuff!" the pink Pokemon beamed, holding a 'microphone' as she prepared to sing...only to see no one around, "...Puff~"
"Wow, that's a lot of folks," Ash noted, seeing all the people digging about, "But I don't see Gary anywhere."
"He's over there," Leaf replied as she pointed to Gary, who was wearing a copy of Indiana Jones' attire and mining, his cheerleaders all wearing digging-themed outfits.
"Success!" Gary declared, pulling up a piece of stone, "My first Pokemon Fossil!"
"YAY~!" his cheerleaders beamed, "Gary Gary he's the best! Finding fossils before the rest! Go Gary~!"
A hand took the fossil from Gary, surprising him. He turned and saw it was an older man with a balding head and bushy grey mustache. He pulled out a brush and dusted off the remaining dirt on it before examining it with a magnifying glass.
"Hmm...It is a fossil…"
"Heh," Gary smirked, "So what kinda fossil is it?"
"...Fecal matter," the scientist replied.
"What?!"
"Ew yuck! Gross!" the cheerleaders gagged.
"Oh that stinks," Makoto quipped.
"Nice one," Leaf giggled, fiving the Beastkin, "But, yeah, that guy's one of the scientists from Cinnabar. There's another guy who's helping them."
"Who?" Brock asked.
"An archeologist by the name of Brandon," Leaf replied, looking around before pointing at a man with green/brown hair wearing a green archaeologist's outfit, "Over there."
"KATSU!"
"Yipe!" the majority yelped at the loud shout the man let out at a miner.
"You are striking too hard! Too much force and you'll also break the fossil!" Brandon informed sternly as the miner bowed repeatedly in apology while sweating heavily.
"Yikes…" Makoto cringed.
"Yeah. The man is kinda scary, but given that fossils are fragile things, you gotta be careful with them, right?" Leaf shrugged, "Alrighty, I'm heading off to find me some fossils. Good luck out here, Yellow."
"Good luck, Green," Ash waved, "...Does anyone know how to dig for fossils?"
"..." the group looked to Brock at that.
"...What? I know how to excavate rocks and stones, how to classify them, and their properties and history of what they were used for," Brock replied, "It was a prerequisite to becoming the Pewter City Gym Leader."
"Had to take several different classes all related to swimming with my sisters," Misty added.
"Really?" Makoto asked.
"What do you think Gym Leaders do when it's the off-season?" Brock asked, "Most Gym Leaders have a second, sometimes third, job for when there isn't a League going on."
"Well, can't you put that rock training to fossil digging?" Makoto asked.
"I could, but…" Brock paused as his frown returned, "Digging up fossils in such an historic site still isn't right. And bringing back Pokemon that died a long time ago...we're not meant to play god."
"Eh, everyone has their own opinion," Makoto noted, "And if you start preaching that around here, I think you'd be beaten up by everyone here wanting to do that."
"Chipa?" Berry pondered as she poked out of Makoto's tail and looked around, "Chi!" she went back into Makoto's tail before jumping out, dressed up as a miner with Makoto's fossil strapped to her back, "Pachipa!"
"Look. Even Berry seems excited for digging," Makoto giggled, "Plus there's always a chance we won't find a fossil but something else like gold."
"If we do find gold, the size of it would give us either P5000 to P10,000 if we sell it correctly," Kajun noted before a glint appearing in her eyes as she looked at Berry, "And I almost forgot you had that fossil, Makoto."
"When Leaf mentioned the fossils being brought back to life, it piqued my interest," Makoto shrugged, "...Also no. My fossil." to emphasize that, she picked up Berry, took the fossil, put her on her shoulder, and then put it in her shirt, "Mine."
"...She is not embarrassed by doing things like that, is she?" Misty sighed, facepalming.
"You're only realizing that now?" Tsubaki questioned, facepalming as well.
"What's takin' dem so long?" a familiar voice spoke from nearby, "We just came back from Alola fer a bit and they go missin', in the middle of our plan, too!"
"...You can't be serious," Makoto deadpanned.
"That voice sounds familiar," Ash spoke.
"...Over there," Kajun sighed as she pointed to another part of the canyon side nearby...where Meowth was standing with his back to them.
"Humans. Da only thing ya can depend on is dat dey're always undependable," Meowth lamented.
"Tada~!" Jessie and James declared, poking out from behind a large rock, "Prepare for…!"
"SHH!" Meowth hissed, "Not so loud...we don't want t' be caught. Also did you plant da dynamite like youse was supposed to?"
"Of course we did," Jessie replied.
"Hitmonlee and Wheezing were a great help in getting it in the higher places," James added, "Once we blow Grandpa Canyon to smithereens, we'll be drowning in Poke Fossils and have an army of them for the boss."
"Did they just say they're gonna blow up the whole canyon?" Misty gasped.
"Pika…" Pikachu frowned.
"Given the size of the canyon, factoring in that the material is granite and sandstone…" Kajun muttered as she looked around, "...The shockwave alone would kill anyone in a fifty kilometer range and deafen anyone in a hundred kilometer range."
"...Not if I have anything to say about it!" Ash declared as he rushed off, "Let's go, Pikachu!"
"Pika!"
"You guys start spreading the word and get people to start evacuating," Ash ordered.
"Wait up, Ash," Mai spoke as she ran after him, "You can't fight them alone!"
"Agreed!" Makoto shouted as she followed suit.
"Please be careful!" Noel called out before she and the others ran off.
"Hahahaha. Pretty soon we'll have all da fossils to ourselves once we snatch 'em and dat machine," Meowth laughed, holding a lighter in one hand while holding a fuse in the other.
"Hold it right there!"
"Huh?" James blinked as the trio turned to see Ash, Mai, and Makoto running up, "Oh it's you pests again."
"Always messing up our plans," Jessie frowned, "Especially after we just got back from Alola."
"But not dis time," Meowth smirked, motionign his head over to the fuse, showing it was already lit, "Da fuse is already lit."
(SZ Note: I JUST SAID THAT!)
"Ack! It's moving fast!" Makoto yelped, seeing the fuse burning quickly.
"Really glad I shuffled my team," Ash noted as he pulled out a Pokeball, "Krabby, I choose you!" from the ball, Krabby appeared, snipping his pincers, "Krabby, there's no time to lose. Hurry and blow out that fuse!"
Krabby began to fire a Water Gun at the fuse, missing a few times before it went over the side. Pinching his pincers angrily, Krabby began to chase after the fuse, blasting Water Gun after Water Gun at it.
"Thataboy, Krabby! Keep after it!" Ash called as he ran after Krabby.
"Oh you have to be kidding me!" Jessie growled, "Arbok, go!"
"Go, Hitmonlee. Keep that fuse lit!" James ordered.
"Don't forget we're still here!" Makoto called, "Needles, Honey, battle time!"
"Bun!" Honey declared as the Bunneary and Beedrill appeared.
"Come help out, Vent!" Mai called out.
"Rufflet!"
"Vent?" Makoto repeated.
"Short for Ventus," Mai explained.
"Oh, nice," Makoto grinned.
"Wheezing, Weepinbell, go!"
"Mimikyu, Ariados, come out!" Jessie called.
"GH!" Meowth tensed once Mimikyu came out...and growled at Pikachu in a menacing manner.
"Mimikyu, go after the hat-wearing Twerp and his Pokemon," Jessie ordered, "Ariados, Arbok, we're dealing with the other Twerps."
Mimikyu hissed out before pouncing right at Pikachu, who jumped out of the way and chased after Ash and Krabby.
"Okay seriously, that thing really has some major hate towards Pikachu," Makoto muttered as Needles blocked a Poison Sting barrage fired by Arbok and Ariados while Ventus and Honey flew/jumped around the Vine Whip sent at them by Weepinbell and the balls of sludge from Wheezing, "Also, what's this about you three just coming back from Alola?"
"We got a bit of a promotion!" Meowth laughed, "We're branching Team Rocket out to other regions!"
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me," Makoto groaned as Cherry and Berry jumped out of her tail and zapped at the other Pokemon, "Mai, get going after Ash. He might need backup against that crazy cosplaying Ghost."
"Got it," Mai nodded as she ran ahead, "Come on, Vent!"
"Ruff!" the Rufflet chirped, peckign at Arbok before flying after Mai.
"Oh no you don't!" Jessie shouted as Team Rocket soon gave chase, their Pokemon following suit.
"Oh no you don't!" Makoto argued as she and her Pokemon gave chase.
"You can do it, Krabby!" Ash shouted as Krabby kept firing at the fuse, missing each time as they ran down the slope.
"Don't let him put out that fuse!"
"Why do kids always have to run so fast?!"
"Pikapika!"
"HISS!"
"Seriously, what is wrong with that Pokemon?!" Mai yelped.
"Ruff!"
"Wheezing, hurry and use Sl…" James began before he tripped on a rock, "AH!"
He tripped into Jessie, who tripped into Meowth, who proceeded to start rolling down the path and ended up catching the others of Team Rocket into one big ball.
"We're not gonna catch it!" Makoto exclaimed, "What kinda fuse is this?!"
"Uh guys?" Mai paled after looking over her shoulder.
"What now?" Makoto asked as she looked over her shoulder, "Oh no."
"What?" Ash asked.
"Just keep running!" Makoto shouted as she started picking up the pace.
"Why wh-?" Ash began before the 'ball' ran them over, "Gah!"
"How did this happen?!" Mai freaked.
"James' fault!" Meowth replied before screaming when one spin caused him to look up Mimikyu's costume, "Hrghghghghgrgl…"
"Did Meowth just die?!" Makoto gawked.
"I don't wanna know what he saw!" Jessie panicked before the ball shot over the cliff and crashed down in the bottom of the canyon and leaving them in a tangled mess.
"Ugh...Make the world stop spinning…" James groaned.
"Ow…" Ash groaned before the fuse burned by, "?!" he looked up to see several bundles of dynamite set up in a small opening with a few more hanging above the opening, "Ah! The dynamite! Krabby!" a muffled noise came from where the back of Arbok's hood and Makoto's behind were smashed together, "Oh no…"
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed, managing to crawl out.
Mimiyuki took notice of this, poking out of Jessie's hair before firing a Shadow Ball at Pikachu. Pikachu jumped out of the way and the Shadow Ball continued on...right towards the dynamite.
"...If we survive this, you are going to find an expert on Ghost-Types and get dat guy trained…" Meowth groaned.
"Agr-" Jessie began.
*BOOM!*
"?!" Brock tensed as the ground shook, "Oh no...don't tell me we were too late?"
"It came from over there!" Brandon called as he started running in a direction while pulling out a PokeBall, "Dusclops, I need your assistance!"
From the Pokeball, a large Pokemon emerged. It had a roundish gray body with two stubby legs. It had a single red eye and three tooth-like projections. It had two wispy, light gray growths coming out of its shoulders and one on top of its head. Its light gray hands appeared to be directly attached to its body.
"Dusclops…" the Pokemon spoke slowly as it floated beside Brandon as he continued to run until they arrived at a large pile of rocks filling up a massive hole followed by the others.
"Oh man…" Leaf gasped before spotting a claw in the rubble, "Ah!"
"Dus…" Dusclops grabbed the rock on the claw and pulled it up, revealing Krabby, covered in bruises from the rocks.
"Oh no...then Ash and the others are trapped underneath," Noel gasped in worry.
"We've got to try and get them out," Tsubaki spoke, quickly pulling out Luca's Pokeball before bringing him out, "Can you still sense them, Luca?"
"..." Luca closed his eyes for a few moments, "Yes. They're beneath all this."
"Brock, do you think Onix…" Misty began to ask while she began to spray Krabby with a Potion.
"KATSU!" Brandon shouted, startling Misty, "We have to be careful in the removal of this. If you use an Onix to just smash through all this, then the opening they're likely in will collapse and bury them beneath the rubble."
"He's right," Brock agreed before sending out Geodude, "The best we can do is start removing the rocks from the top down."
"Right," the others agreed.
"Saur, come help with clearing these rocks!" Leaf called, throwing out her Starter's Pokeball.
Instead of an Ivysaur, Saur was much larger with bumpy skin. On top of his head were small, pointed ears with reddish pink insides. He had three clawed toes on each foot. The bud on his back had bloomed into a large pink, white-spotted flower, supported by a thick, brown trunk surrounded by green fronds.
"Venusaur!" Saur roared.
"Alright, let's get started," Brandon ordered, "Focus on the rocks at the very top so that we don't cause them to collapse on those trapped under it." he looked over at Luca, "Keep us updated on those trapped."
"Understood," Luca nodded, closing his eyes once more.
Deep underground, the ones that had gotten caught in the explosion laid about. Ash was the first to start waking up with the others slowly following. Mimikyu hissed, about to jump at Pikachu once more before he was returned to his Pokeball by Jessie.
"Ow…" Ash groaned, "That...was not fun at all…"
"Where are we?" James pondered.
"Were we blasted straight to the moon?" Jessie questioned.
"Or down to da center of the Earth?" Meowth pondered.
"I think we're in a cave deep underground," Makoto noted as she looked up, "Hoo boy…" she grabbed Mai and Ash and dragged them away from where they had been lying, "No one stay there. If people are gonna try to dig us out…" she pointed up at the ceiling to show the bundle of rocks sealing up the hole above them, "...we don't want to get squashed, do we?"
"GH!" the Rocket Trio tensed before moving straight out of the way.
"...Grr...This is all your fault, you twerps!" Jessie snapped, pointing an accusing finger at Ash, Makoto, and Mai.
"If you hadn't tried to put out the fuse, we would've never fallen down here!" James added.
"Are you for real right now?!" Mai snapped, "If you had set those off, you would've injured all the people in the canyon!"
"Well dey still got set off," Meowth noted.
"...Okay, you remember what I did to Arbok when we met? Imma doin' that to you," Makoto stated, cracking her knuckles.
"?!" Arbok hid behind Jessie with wide eyes of fright.
"There has to be someway out," Ash pondered before noticing Pikachu and Honey's ears twitching, "Hmm? What's up, you two?"
"Pika…"
"Buneary…"
"Dey're sayin' dat dey hear somethin' movin' down here," Meowth translated.
"...I kinda hear it too," Makoto whispered, her ears twitching a bit as Berry poked out of her tail, "And it sounds upset...like we disturbed it or something."
"Really?" Ash asked.
"Course she can hear it," Meowth noted, "Dose ears ain't props, after all."
"Huh?" Ash blinked twice before Mai yelped and pointed to a part of the cave...where multiple red eyes were shining in the darkness.
"I think the 'it'...are more 'those'..." Mai gulped as the figures began to step out, revealing various Pokemon...and they all looked angr-no...Absolutely livid.
They seemed to be made of two of four kinds of Pokemon, making eight of them in total. Two were small horseshoe crab-like Pokemon with brown shells, four short yellow legs, and two beady black eyes on the top of the brown shell and two large red eyes underneath it. Four resembled ammonites with pale yellow/cream shells and blue bodies. The smaller two had ten tentacles and large saucer-like eyes. The larger two had multiple tentacles with spikes on the shells, yellow slit eyes, and oval mouths wit a four-sectioned, fang-like beak. The last two were bipedal Pokémon with a skeletal build. They had flat, half-circular heads with a point on each side and two small eyes on the front. They were mostly brown, except for their light gray chests and abdomens. There was a ridge down their backs with three flat spines on either side and had a flat, pointed tail. Instead of hands, their forearms had large, sharp, gray scythes. Their thin legs were brown and lead to small feet with two large gray claws. Ash's Dexter was immediately in hand.
=Omanyte, the Spiral Pokemon. Its fossils have been excavated in areas that were once oceans long ago. Omanyte regulated its buoyancy by storing and releasing air within its shell and controlled direction by twisting its tentacles. While Omanyte fed on plankton, it was preyed on by Archeops and Carracosta= Dexter informed as it showed the smaller blue Pokemon and then the bigger ones =Omastar, the Spiral Pokemon and the evolved form of Omanyte. It is believed that Omastar's extinction was a consequence of the increasingly heavy weight of its own shell that affected its mobility, including its hunting. Omastar swam the seas in search of prey, including prehistoric Shellder. Omastar's used it tentacles to ensnare its prey before biting down with the deadly force of its beak. With the shell broken, it would suck out the contents. Omastar was in turn preyed upon by Carracosta. Omastar is thought to be a distant ancestor to Octillery=
"No way…" Makoto gawked.
=Kabuto, the Shellfish Pokemon. Though this Pokémon is now believed to be extinct, it had a hard shell that protected its body and is believed to have been a powerful swimmer= Dexter continued, showing the horseshoe crab-like Pokemon and then the taller bipedal ones =Kabutops, the Shellfish Pokemon and the evolved form of Kabuto. Before it went extinct, Kabutops was in the process of evolving into a land dweller as evident by changes in its gills and legs. This change is thought to be due to its prey moving onto land as well. In its ocean home Kabutops could tuck up its limbs to help it swim extremely fast, up to roughly 29 knots. It used its sharp scythes to slice enemies and drink their internal fluids=
"...We're going to be rich!" James beamed as he and Jessie cheered excitedly, "We'll open a prehistoric Pokemon Park and make millions! It'll be bigger than Poke World!"
"If the boss wasn't impressed before, he will when he sees it!" Jessie added, "He might even make us the bosses of his daughters, too!"
"I could get my own talk show or even my own cartoon!" Meowth added.
"Before you start going giddy...you may wanna pay attention to their eyes," Makoto gulped, her tail sticking straight up.
"Huh?" the trio blinked, stopping in their cheering before looking at the Pokemons' eyes...which were bloodshot with anger.
"I think that blast disturbed their sleep…" Mai gulped as Ventus hid behind her.
"Tops…" one of the Kabutops hissed.
"What did it say?" Jessie asked.
"I, uh...I don't know," Meowth replied, "Da language is all weird and old."
"I can tell ya one thing…" Makoto began, taking a step back a bit as Honey bolted into her tail, "I've seen that type of look...the type of being disturbed from a really good sleep or hibernation…and considering what Dexter said...It's probably the latter."
"Oh, this isn't good…" Luca noted, "There's eight more auras down there and they've just encountered the others. They feel...ancient. Older than even the auras of Entei, Suicune, and Raikou but not as old as Ho-Oh."
"...Could it be possible some of the ancient fossil Pokemon...survived?" Kajun pondered.
"How would that be possible?" Noel asked.
"Life finds a way," Brock noted.
"...Wait. If there are ancient Pokemon down there, it could be possible the explosion disturbed them…" Tsubaki spoke.
"...Meaning Ash and the others are trapped with very angry Pokemon that had their sleep disturbed," Misty realized.
"...Better pick up the pace," Brock muttered.
"What I want to know is how they're all alive," Makoto noted.
"Maybe they were all hibernating," Jessie guessed.
"That's it! The dynamite must have woken them up after thousands of years," James agreed.
"Some alarm clock," Meowth gulped.
"Ugh. Never mind. Let's just capture them!" Jessie ordered as she and James threw Pokeballs at the Pokemon, only for the two Kabutops' arms to become blurs...and the Pokeballs to stop in mid-air before collapsing into shredded piles of themselves.
"Oh you just had to provoke them," Makoto groaned as one of Kabutops shouted and raised an arm, causing the other Pokemon to inhale and fire out Water Guns that hit them all, sending them crashing into a wall, "GAH! Yeah, you provoked them good…" she got up and shook off the water from her body, "That's it. Cherry, Berry, zap 'em!"
"Chipa/Emol!" the two Electric rodents shouted as they fired a Thunderbolt at them...only for it splash off the Kabutops, who simply rubbed at where it got hit, "Chi/Ga?!"
"Oh you gotta be kidding me…" Makoto gawked.
"...I think we should run," Mai meeped.
"Ruff!" Ventus squealed as the group began to run away, the Fossil Pokemon hot on their tail
"Ash, can't you have Charizard shoo them away with some fire!?" Makoto shouted.
"Professor Oak wanted to do a check up on Charizard, so I traded him for Krabby," Ash replied.
"Seriously?!" Mai and Makoto gawked.
"I didn't think we'd get chased by prehistoric Pokemon!" Ash argued.
"Incoming Rollout!" Meowth freaked as a Omastar began to spin like a wheel with its tentacles stretched out while charging at them.
"And now they're being chased," Luca informed as more people were helping with removing the rocks.
"Leave it to Yellow to find actual ancient Pokemon," Leaf noted as she and Gary worked on picking up a larger rock.
"And to know a Pokemon that knows telepathy that can give updates," Gary added, "Ugh...Why am I doing this again?"
"Because Yellow's our friend and I'd fine you worse than the time you and Red went off to Alola without me and Yellow," Leaf replied, making Gary shudder.
"...Never again," Gary whispered as he sped up.
"You better come out of this okay, Ash," Misty spoke, moving more rocks off of the pile, "Don't forget, you still owe me a new bike."
"...You're still on that?" Noel asked with a slight sweatdrop.
"I think she's so worried that she's just saying things," Tsubaki noted as she glanced over at Kajun, who was having Koko and Hikari using their Psychic attacks to move larger rocks out of the way, "And we both know that if those Pokemon lay a hand on Ash, they'll have to deal with a livid Kajun."
"I've never seen her be so clingy to a person outside of doing tests," Noel noted, "...Do you think she's becoming a brocon?"
"What was that?" Kajun questioned.
"Nothing!" both replied, sweating a little.
"Okay then."
"..." Luca paced before he tensed, "Another aura just appeared. It's bigger than the others and is approaching them at a fast pace."
"...How big?" Kajun asked.
"The best comparison I could give…" Luca frowned, "Think about the size of Charizard and Brandon's Dusclops put together."
"Could it be...An Aerodactyl?" Kajun and Brandon realized.
"(I am fighting Pokemon thousands of years old underground…)" Terra noted, struggling with the blades of one of the Kabutops...and grinning, "(I think I'm getting spoiled by my Trainer.)"
"(YOU HAVE MANY ISSUES!)" Pikachu snapped, constantly moving around to avoid the other Kabutops' blades before making his tail shine with an Iron Tail to block a swing, "(Gh! Oh that smarts…)"
"(Get them off me! Get 'em off me!)" Arbok panicked, slithering around with the two Kabuto comping on his hood while Wheezing's two faces were being covered by the Omanytes.
"(Accursed ancient fossils…)" Hitmonlee grunted, tied up by the tentacles of the Omastars with Berry and Cherry.
"(I really don't like this situation!)" Berry freaked.
"(I got you!)" Ventus shouted, divebombing right into the Omastar's face and slammed a Steel Wing into their face, chipping the beak and forcing it to release the trio and let Hitmonlee slam a Mega Kick into it, sending it crashing through a pillar.
The Kabutops were about to hit Pikachu and Terra with a Water Gun before all the ancient Pokemon froze. Their heads turned to a darker area of the cavern before they all fled for it in the opposite direction. Wheezing and Arbok collapsed, covered in bite marks from the pre-evolved ancient Pokemon.
"...Ohh...I'm getting a bad feeling about this," Makoto muttered, her tail sticking straight up.
"...Why?" Jessie and James cautiously asked.
"If Pokemon like those ran away, there's a chance…" Mai began before a loud roar was hard, "...an Apex Predator is nearby."
"Oh dis ain't good…" Meowth whimpered.
"(What is that?)" Ventus pondered before a large grey blur smacked into him, "RUFF!"
"Vent!" Mai gasped, catching the falling Rufflet.
Everyone looked at the direction the blur had gone by and gulped. Landing on a large boulder was a massive Pokemon. It was large and reptillian in appearance with large, membranous wings. It had small, sharply pointed ears, narrow eyes, a ridged snout with a gaping mouth, and a strong lower jaw full of serrated fangs. Its body was covered in light purplish gray skin with violet wing membranes. The wings consisted of a membrane running from the side of the body to the tip of an elongated finger. The clawed hands at the bend of each wing looked as if it would allow it to grasp objects. There was a hump-like ridge with a single spike on its back and it had a strong tail ending with an arrow-shaped tip. Its talon-like feet had two toes in front and one in the back, digging into the boulder.
"AERO!" the Pokemon roared out as Ash got out Dexter once more.
=Aerodactyl, the Fossil Pokemon. In ancient times, it ruled the skies. A widely accepted theory is that it went extinct due to a large meteor impact. Due to the sharp appearance of Aerodactyl's fangs, it was originally thought to be exclusively a carnivore= Dexter informed.
"...What's a carnivore?" Ash asked.
"That means it thinks we're dinner!" James replied with a whimper.
"That must be why the others ran away," Jessie realized.
"I hope it don't like cat food," Meowth gulped.
"Or squirrel," Makoto added, Berry and Cherry whimpering as they hid in Makoto's tail.
"AERO!" Aerodactyle roared as it hopped off and flew towards them.
"RUN!" Ash panicked.
"(Come on, ya big palooka! Imma…)" Terra began before Aerodactyl's tail slammed into him, sending him crashing into a wall and he dropped down, revealing swirls replacing his eyes, "(...take a big ol' nap…Blaaaargh...)"
"A first-round knockout," Ash cringed while Mai managed to get a Pokeball out and returned Terra before she tripped on a raised rock and dropped Ventus just as they got back to where they had fallen into the cavern, "Mai!"
"Gah…" Mai grunted before Aerodactyle grabbed her, "EEK!"
"It's got her!" James panicked before some small pebbles from the ceiling landed on him, "?"
"What's wrong?" Jessie asked as some pebbles landed on her, "What?" the two looked up and barely jumped out of the way of a large pile of rocks collapsing from the cave in, exposing the skies above, "EEK!"
"Saur!" Saur roared, pulling the people that had his vines wrapped around their waists away from the hole just before they could fall in.
"Guys!" Ash called out before Aerodactyl flew out of the hole, still holding Mai in its talons.
"HELP!" Mai screamed.
"What was that?!" Gary yelped, quickly pulling out his Pokedex with Leaf.
"That was an Aerodactyl," Brandon noted, "And it seems to have taken one of the people that had fallen down there as food."
"Eh? ...Ah! That's Mai!" Noel gasped.
"Get me off this thing!" Mai shouted just as Aerodactyl landed on a plateau, "...Oh we're down…" she sighed in relief...before it dawned on her, "...Oh we're down."
"AERO!"
"HELP ME!"
"Ahh Mai!" the girls and boys exclaimed.
"Jigglypuff!"
"...Oh tell me that was someone else's Jigglypuff," Makoto spoke as she and Ash were pulled out of the hole by Saur.
"Huh?" Leaf pondered.
"Long story, b-" Kajun began before the group noticed the Jigglypuff running towards a step ladder near some spotlights, "...It's the same one."
"What's it doing here?" Misty pondered, "...Oh! I got it!"
"Got what?" Brock asked as Misty ran over to Jigglypuff, stopping her from about to sing as she puffed up in annoyance.
"If we can get Jigglypuff to sing, we can put Aerodactyl back to sleep," Misty explained.
"Oh! Good idea, Misty!" Noel spoke.
"She'll have to move fast," Brock noted, "I think Aerodactyl's starving."
"AHH!" Mai screamed as Aerodactyl lowered its head down, preparing to eat her before Vent pecked right between its eyes, "Ahh, Vent!"
"(Let go of her!)" Ventus shouted, smacking a Steel Wing into Aerodactyl's face...only to be swatted away and crashed into the ground, "Ruff!"
"This is almost like our last day in Kalos back when we were kids," Gary recalled, "Except it's someone else and not Leaf and an actual Aerodactyl and not a Dragalge."
"?!" Luca winced when Ventus got smacked into the ground again, only to get back up and try another Steel Wing at Aerodactyl, "...He's trying to prove himself."
"Hmm?" Tsubaki blinked.
"I can sense deep down...he's trying to prove himself to Mai, wanting to save her and prove he can be a truly reliable Pokemon," Luca explained as Ventus crashed into some rocks, getting back up as he ignored the pain in his body and the blood that was coming out of some wounds from hitting some sharper edges of some of the rocks as he flew back up.
"(You...You aren't gonna eat her...)" Ventus panted, gritting his beak, "(When I was abandoned mercilessly, she took me in without a second...thought...Someone like you…)" his eyes narrowed, "(...WON'T TAKE HER AWAY WITHOUT ME DYING IN TRYING TO SAVE HER!)"
With that, his body began to shine as he flew at Aerodactyl. His small wings twitched before they erupted in growth, the grey feathers being engulfed in darker grey feathers underneath and rich dark red feathers above that went down its entire back. The tail feathers changed from their pale cream to the same rich dark red with the tips sporting yellow and blue. By the time Ventus was upon Aerodactyl, the 1'03" Rufflet had been replaced with a fearsome, angered, protective 8' Braviary with wings shining strong with an Steel Wing that slammed right into the prehistoric Pokemon, knocking it off the rock as it let go of Mai.
"Ventus?!" Mai gawked as the Braviary landed on the rock, "Whoa…You...You evolved!"
"Bra…" Ventus nodded before Mai noticed the injuries on his chest.
"Oh man…" Mai whispered, a hand moving to them before Aerodactyl let out a cry of anger, "Gh! Right, treat those second, getting away from the angry ancient bird first."
"AERO!" Aerodactyl roared out as it shot up, glaring at the new intruder as it flew right towards Ventus with fangs bared.
Ventus swung his wings over Mai before tilting back and fell off the rock, causing Aerodactyl to miss. Mai yelped as Ventus let her go and spun around so his back was to her, letting her grab onto him as he spread his wings and swooped down to the ground and took off back into the air. Aerodactyl screeched at Ventus and began to chase after the bird.
"What is that Pokemon?" Leaf pondered, pulling out her Pokedex once more.
=Braviary, the Valiant Pokémon, and the evolved form of Rufflet. Called "soldiers of the sky," Braviary fights tirelessly to protect its friends. If it has many scars, it earns more respect from its comrades= Leaf's Pokedex went off.
"Awesome! Way to go, Mai! Vent!" Makoto cheered on.
"KATSU!" everyone jumped and faced Brandon, "We still need to act on the plan," he explained, "While Braviary are powerful, Aerodactyl are much faster and larger."
"...Then we need to hurry and have Jigglypuff sing," Tsubaki spoke.
"I swear that if I wake up to marker on my face...I'm gonna thrash Jigglypuff and swear to never catch one ever," Makoto grumbled.
"Ugh...least we're safe…" Jessie groaned as she, James, and Mewoth managed to climb up...and noticed Ventus and Aerodactyl flying about, "...get up you two! Get the machine ready so we can catch those two!"
"Wh-?! But Jessie...!" James began.
"NOW!"
"Eee!"
"Are you serious?" Brock frowned at the trio, "If we don't stop Aerodactyl right now w-"
"A Pokemon that rare belongs with Team Rocket!" Jessie argued, "Not a bunch of goodie goodie twerps like you! Also taking the blue twerpette's Braviary will be a nice touch."
"Dusclops…" a large pair of hands grabbed Jessie and James, making them look up and pale on seeing the glowing red eye of Brandon's Dusclops glaring down at them.
"AH!" the two screamed.
"Not da ch-" Meowth began before something large crashed behind Dusclops, "?"
"Oh now what?!" Makoto complained as the dust settled...revealing Bewear behind Dusclops, "...A chubby Ursaring?"
"Correction, Makoto. That is a Bewear," Kajun corrected, "They reside mostly within Alola with some living within the Galar Region."
(Your cubs?)" Dusclops asked.
"(Yes)," Bewear replied.
"...(May I ask my punishment be gentle?)" the Ghost-Type requested.
"...Wear!" Bewear shouted, slamming a Brutal Swing across Dusclops face as it fell to the ground unconscious, letting go of both Jessie and James.
"...and that was a particularly powerful Brutal Swing."
"Hahahahahaha! Now you twerps are in trouble! Our Bewear is gonna make sure y-what's going on?" Jessie blinked, stopping in her boasting as she, James, and Meowth were suddenly picked up by the Bewear.
"You accepted a hug and ate offered honey, didn't you?" Brandon asked.
"...Maybe…" James replied.
"We have a base in Alola thanks to it, too," Meowth added.
"Oh you poor people," Brandon shook his head in pity.
"EH?!" the trio gawked before Bewear ran off with them, everyone swearing they heard a sonic boom once it was out of sight, "What is this feeling…?"
"...That was weird," Leaf admitted.
"Never accept a hug from a Bewear or any honey offered," Brandon warned as he returned his Dusclops, "Now hurry with that Jigglypuff!"
"Got it!" Misty nodded, turning the spotlight on and aimed it at Jigglypuff, "Please Jigglypuff, sing! Sing with all your heart!"
"Jiggly!" Jigglypuff nodded, taking a breath as she began to sing, "Ji~gglypuff~Jiggly~puff~"
"...Oh not again…" Mai whispered, recognizing Jigglypuff's singing as she began to doze off.
"Saur, Worry Seed…" Leaf yawned.
"Ven...usaur…" Saur yawned before shooting out a few glowing seeds that landed on itself, Leaf, Ash, Pikachu, and Gary before vanishing and leaving a faint yellow aura on them for a moment.
"H-Huh?" Ash shook his head, "...Why am I not falling asleep?"
"I have a Wigglytuff with this same issue," Leaf explained as everyone else began to fall asleep, "So I had Saur learn how to use a move called Worry Seed. Anyone that gets touched by one of the seeds fired by the move ends up unable to fall asleep for a good twelve hours no matter what's tried. Plus, like heck I'm missing out on catching that thing."
"What?! But…" Gary and Ash began.
"I'll drop all fines you owe me if you two let me catch it when it falls asleep~"
"DEAL!" both replied immediately.
"Yes!"
"Well...th….hubba…" Makoto slurred before falling over, using her tail as a pillow as she fell asleep.
As Jigglypuff continued to sing, its voice reached up into the sky above. Mai let out a yawn as she was the first to fall victim to Jigglypuff's Sing. Ventus managed to land before it got to him while Aerodactyl struggled to avoid falling asleep only to be caught up in it. As it began to fall, Leaf pulled out a Pokeball with the red half replaced with a half that was black with a gold 'H' on it. She hefted it a few times before throwing it at Aerodactyl. The ball connected and opened up. Aerodactyl was sucked up into the ball and landed by the opening. It shook once before clicking and the light turning off.
"What was that Pokeball?" Ash asked.
"The most expensive Pokeball of them all: the Ultra Ball," Leaf replied, "I got lucky and found it a few days ago."
"Ahh…" Ash noted as Jigglypuff stopped singing.
"Puff?" Jigglypuff blinked, seeing everyone but Ash, Leaf, and Gary awake, "..."
"...Well, at least you had an audience th-" Ash began.
"Puff~!" Jigglypuff fumed, taking her marker out as she began to rapidly draw on the faces of everyone that was sleeping.
"Wow. That is one grumpy 'puff," Leaf noted.
"(Any chance you can tell me how you make Worry Seeds so I can tell my friend Bulbasaur how to do them in case we run into Jigglypuff again?)" Pikachu asked.
"(Eh, sure)," Saur shrugged.
"Remarkable," a scientist noted a few hours later as he and Brandon stood in a tent with the eight other Pokemon that had been in the underground cavern all in a set of Pokeballs, "To think they were able to survive for millennia in a hibernative state. A pity that one Trainer caught the Aerodactyl while she had a full Party. It would have been wonderful to have studied it."
"True," Brandon agreed, "Still, this does show that the world will never cease to amaze anyone."
"Ugh...The dig got cancelled due to those guys," Gary sighed as people were packing up to leave, "Really sucks, too."
"I'm quite pleased with myself," Leaf giggled, "I'm the only Trainer in our group that has a prehistoric Pokemon. Plus, you and Yellow are free of any fines for a bit, Blue."
"...There is that…" Gary muttered.
"Why did you let it get away with this?!" Makoto whined to Ash...with her face covered in doodles and a tic-tac-toe grid.
"I tried but it Double Slapped me and Pikachu!" Ash yelped.
"Pika…" Pikachu groaned, rubbing his cheeks that were still a bit swollen from the slapping.
"Excuse me, Ms. Nanaya?" another scientist spoke as he walked over, "Thank you for your patience." he held up a Pokeball, "And congratulations! You are now the fine owner of the first Pokemon we've cloned using our portable cloning machine."
"Huh?" Makoto blinked twice.
"You were one of the last people to wake up, so I gave your fossil to them to revive it," Ash explained.
"...Still grumpy at you for not stopping that pink menace, but it'll be down to simple teasing because you are the best!" Makoto squeed as she accepted the Pokeball and tossed it into the air, "Come on out!"
The ball opened and let out a white energy that quickly took shape before her. The Pokemon that had been within resembled a baby leatherback sea turtle. Its body was blue with black spots on the edges of its flippers. Its black shell had six circular indentations in it. It had a black upper beak and a mask that covered most of its head and a light blue patch underneath its eyes. It looked around before tilting its head.
"Tir?" the Pokemon pondered as Ash took out Dexter.
=Tirtouga, the Prototurtle Pokemon. Tirtouga's shell is very tough, and it can dive down to depths of as much as 1,000 meters. Tirtouga was known to actively hunt for prey to the extent that it would go on land to reach them. Tirtouga lived in the oceans long ago and is now extant only by reviving it from fossils. The people of Alola believe it to be an ancestor of most turtle Pokémon= Dexter informed.
"Ooh-hoo-hoo~!" Makoto awed as she picked up the Pokemon, "Hey Buddy…"
"...Tir?" Tirtouga tilted his head a bit.
"Sorry if we woke you up from a big ol' nap, but I was so excited to meet ya," Makoto apologized as Berry hopped onto her shoulder, "I'm Makoto and this here's Berry."
"Chipa!" Berry greeted with a wave.
"...Tirtouga…" he smiled a bit.
"Hmm...Now what to name you…" Makoto pondered, "Hmm...How about...Tank?"
"Ga?" Tirtouga tilted his head in confusion.
"Well...You look pretty tough and probably up for a good fight," Makoto noted, "...Got it! Rumble! Rumble the Tirtouga!"
"...Touga…!"
"Sweet! Welcome to the team then, Rumble!" Makoto beamed.
"Quite a shame that we were unable to find any fossils," Kajun sighed as the group left the canyon, the sun starting to set, "I so hoped to find one to see the process personally."
"True," Misty agreed, "Finding one of the fossils for an Omanyte or Kabuto would've been great!"
"Why?" Makoto asked.
"They're Water-Types," Misty replied.
"...Yeah, I want nothing to do with one of those after today. I'm happy with Rumble, thank you very much," Makoto snorted.
"...Um, what's that egg you're holding, Mai?" Noel asked, noticing the white-shelled Egg with red and blue markings on it in Mai's arms.
"I found it after I woke up...I'm not sure where it came from, honestly…" Mai admitted, "But if it hatches...at least the Dratini that hatches from that Egg Tsubaki has will have a friend."
"Perhaps," Tsubaki agreed as Hikari looked at it before her eyes glowed and she vanished for a moment before appearing with a small clear container big enough for the egg with a red velvet pillow inside of it and a tiny spot on the top for a shrunk PokeBall to fit.
"Kirl…"
"She says she got it from Professor Oak's laboratory to keep it at a constant temperature and protection," Luca informed.
"Ahh...good idea," Mai nodded.
"At least we know those hibernating Fossil Pokemon are in good hands," Broke spoke...before frowning, "But Team Rocket...they were willing to destroy an historic site and hurt so many people…"
"Really ticks me off," Makoto frowned, banging his fists together, 'Really makes me wish there was Seithr here...Then I'd get to pull out some badass punches and knock 'em straight to the moon!'
"Hopefully, they'll get what's coming to them sooner or later," Mai noted.
"The big bear was new, though," Noel noted.
"Yeah. It only came to take Team Rocket away," Mai noted.
"Yeah, it was weird and such a big lipped Feraligator moment," Makoto added...before Tsubaki smacked her with the paperfan, "Ow! What?!"
"You know what you did," Tsubaki stated.
"That was a Bewear," Kajun noted, "And based on how it acted, it seems that they let it hug them and were then fed honey made by the Bewear."
"Huh?"
"From what I've read, when a Bewear does that...it means they're experiencing Empty Nest Syndrome and now she considered those three as her cubs," Kajun stated, "And if said 'cubs' leave the cave and not back by sunset, Bewear will search them down and bring them back home, no matter how far they are."
"...Meaning the next time we encounter those three, Bewear will just drag them back," Brock surmised.
"Correct."
"...PFFT!" Makoto, Berry, Cherry, Misty, Pikachu, Ash began to laugh at that.
"Though we'll also need to be careful," Kajun advised, "If we attack them and the Bewear isn't aware of the circumstances, we'll be on the painful end of an angry Bewear."
"How bad is that? It's just a big ol…" Makoto began before Kajun took Dexter and brought up the entry.
=Bewear, the Strong Arm Pokemon, and the evolved form of Stufful. While Bewear may appear friendly, it is actually a very dangerous Pokémon — even considered to be the most dangerous Pokémon in Alola and Galar. It must never be approached carelessly, even if it is merely swinging its arms around in a friendly fashion as this is used as a warning. It shows affection with a fond embrace, but its hugs have incredible force. Trainers of this Pokémon must teach it how to restrain itself when showing affection. Its hugs are powerful enough to shattered bones. Many trainers are said to have left the world after receiving Bewear's hugs. Bewear uses its arms to subdue its prey before before taking it back to its nest= Dexter informed =Trainers are also required to have a license specifically for owning a Bewear due to the dangers of this Pokemon's power with fines ranging between P50,000 to P500,000 and/or 1-5 years of jail time if one does not have the license=
"...Wow," Makoto whispered with wide eyes, "...Can't believe I'm saying this, but..I am now legit scared of those three…"
"Here's hoping they don't have a license," Misty noted.
"Agreed," Ash added.
GT: And we just keep changing stuff up. Since Leaf caught the Aerodactyl, it didn't crash into the hole and cause another cave-in. So now those hibernating prehistoric Pokemon are now exposed to the world and gonna be taken care of by scientists. Plus, since Mai got taken, Ventus was the one who evolved and she got the egg.
SZ: Eeyup..a LOT has happened.
GT: And more will be revealed as we keep this going along!
SZ: Yup! So read and review guys and gals!
