Hello there! Welcome my friends to the first chapter of Light Bringer Stories: The Witcher.

Hope your going to enjoy it as much as I had writing it.

Now story time.

Pain.

That was all felt coursing through the body of Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon better known as Ciri as she fell out of the green portal created by her powers. She laid face first in white sands, exhausted from her latest run in with the Wild Hunt. Her white shirt had began to stain with her blood.

With great effort she forced herself up, the white sand sticking to her. To her side she saw a never ending ocean of swirling royal blue water-like substance. She rolled herself over so she laid on her back, her green eyes took in the the unending aurora filled skies above, as a blue sun shined it's light down over the never ending beach.

"This is it... This is how I die." Ciri thought as she began to fall further and further into unconsciousness, "I'm sorry Geralt..."

But as she was about to slip away into blackness, she felt so something sharp poke her side.

Mustering the strength to turn her head to the side, she saw the dark grey eyes of a small girl looking down at her. She had long blonde hair held in place by a black hairband. She was dressed in a deep blue coat, on her lower body were a black skirt and black socks covering her entire legs and deep blue shoes covered her small feet.

"Oi, lady." the girl said, speaking with a thick accent as she poked her with a stick, "You okay?"

The last thing Ciri remembered where dark grey eyes before she was swallowed by darkness.

Ciri blinked, she wasn't laying on the strange white sand beach anymore, she laid on her back on a soft black couch, her head propped up on the cushions. Her shirt had been removed and her upper torso was covered in bandages.

Sitting up she found herself in a luxurious high rise apartment, a large bar on the other side with the wall covered from floor to ceiling with bookcases filled with all sorts of books. In the middle of the room stood a long piano. The full wall window gave a view of a modern city. The apartment's interior design was nothing she would find in her home world.

Her equipment, with her shirt cleaned of her bloodstains, and her sword were laying on a nearby table.

"Hey you. You're finally awake."

She turned around and from the door opening between the bookcases, which led to a hall deeper into the apartment, she saw that a handsome, tall man had entered. He had swept back platinum blonde hair and intense amber eyes. He was wearing a tucked in dark purple dress shirt, black dress pants and brown-black dress shoes.

"What... who are you?" Ciri said confused as she looked around, "Did you undress me?"

"Well you were hurt pretty badly." the man said, fixing one of his sleeves as he walked up to the bar to make himself a drink, "I had to see you naked."

"Oh you had to." she said sarcastically, "Where my breasts nice?"

"Nay." the man said casually turning around with a glass filled with amber liquid, "But you have awoken just in time."

"For what?" Ciri said.

"Dinner, obviously." the man said taking a sip of his drink, emptying it to half it's contents.

Ciri sat with the man in a lavishly decorated dinner room, seated at a long black table with a glass top. Decked out in plates filled with food. Pork chops and lamb chops and steak, boiled potatoes, roast potatoes, peas, carrots and gravy.

"My dear... You eat enough to feed a whole army." the man said as he slouched in his chair, a glass of wine in hand, "When was the last time you eat?"

"I can't remember." Ciri said between bites.

"That's obvious." he said placing his empty glass down as he began to refill it.

"Thank you for your hospitality..." she said gratefully, "If it wasn't for you and your daughter..."

"Me and my daughter? Well that's not possible, I can't have any offspring's." the man said before he realized, "Oh, you must mean Potato."

"Potato?" Ciri said as the man gestured to her side. Glancing in that direction, she saw the young girl before she had fall unconscious stood at her side.

"Oi lady." the girl named Potato said, "You should watch the food, Potato had to drag you all the way from beach to the penthouse and you are a very heavy lady. Potato is only one Potato! Cannot do the work of ten Potatoes."

"Yes, yes." the man said dismissively, "Did you prepare the room for our guest?"

"Of course Potato did." the young girl said.

"Then go prepare a bath for our guest." the man said and in a blur of speed, Potato had disappeared.

"She is..." Ciri said, perplexed by how fast the girl apparently is, "Something."

"Yeah, I know." the man said, looking at his watch as he sat back in his seat, "I believe we haven't introduced ourselves."

"I am Cirilla." Ciri said, "Or just Ciri."

"Well Cirilla." the man said, "My name is Lucifer Lux."

"Lucifer Lux?" Ciri said surprised at the man's name, having heard of it in other Worlds she visited, "As in the..."

"Exactly." the man said with a smirk, as he stood up from the table, "Now, I have to work downstairs. But make yourself at home, rest up, help yourself to anything, if you need anything call Potato and we can talk more tomorrow. If you like, you can join me downstairs. But I think it's best you recover some of your strength first."

It had been a week and a handful of days since Ciri arrived and had been living with Lucifer and Potato, recovering from her run in with the Wild Hunt. When she told Lucifer about them, he seemed to confuse them with some sort of heavy metal band before confusing them with the Wild Hunt of Odin before finally realizing she ment an entirely different Wild Hunt.

He assured her that while she was in his building, no harm could come to her, calling the place an Elysium, neutral ground where violence was forbidden.

Wearing a expensive looking black short dress which Lucifer had provided for her, Ciri stepped out of the elevator finding herself in a dimly lit night club, filled with crowd of people.

Near the stage was a microphone on a stand and another black piano where Lucifer sat. A smooth and exciting atmosphere drifted in the air as people were entranced by the music being played by Lucifer as he sang in the microphone hanging from the ceiling.

"All your love, resting now beneath the ice fading into waters as black as your eyes. Winter's breath turned your soul so cold. Leaving all our hopes, all our stories untold." Lucifer sang with his pleasant deep voice, "Dream now of summer nights. In them, I'll hold you tight. Dream now of summer nights. In them, I'll hold you tight and I... Love, my heart it breaks for you, but the darkness is pushing through and memories of you is all that's left and you must fade into the depths."

Lucifer stared in the distance as the crowd erupted in applause for his performance. He stood up from the seat, picking up his glass as he did. Taking a sip from his drink before taking a bow and leaving the stage as loud music coming from the walls replaced his softer live piano music.

He made his way through the crowd as they began to dance, until he stood at the bar with his empty glass. She walked through the crowd to him, as he leaned on the bar, "Hey you."

"Cirilla! Glad you decided to join us! This is cause for celebration!" he said, his mood suddenly improved, waving at one of the bartenders, "Any preference?"

"I'll have what your having." Ciri said, taking one of the bar seats.

"Whisky it is!" he said happily, "Though I wouldn't say no to some nice Vodka."

"What is..." she said looking around the club as the bartender placed two glasses, pouring them with the amber colored drink and placing the bottle down, "What is all this?"

"This my dear, is my own night club." he said raising his glass, "This is 'Morning Star'. My own slice of paradise."

"It looks lively." she said taking a sip of her drink feeling the bitter taste going down her throat, "Where did you get this dress anyhow?" gesturing to the black fabric covering her body.

"Oh it was left behind by one of my 'overnight guests'." Lucifer said leaning against the bar.

Ciri didn't react at all, over the week she had gotten used to Lucifer's promiscuous behavior and his nightly attempts at debauchery.

"Then what was she wearing when she left?" she said.

"A smile." he said with one of his own.

"If I get an sexually transmitted diseases from this thing." she said half jokingly half seriously, "I will kill you."

"By all means go ahead and try." Lucifer said smugly as if he had heard that before, "I'm immortal."

"You really believe your the Devil?" Ciri said.

"Yes, well, Satan, Beelzabub, Satanael, old Scratch. Actually, I like that last one in particular." Lucifer said with a light chuckle, "But yes, I'm the Devil. I basically invented daddy issues. Waged a war then got banished to rule Hell. And no we are not in Hell currently. If it was, it would be the second most boring place in the many multiverses, first one being Haven."

"I heard that Lucifer used to be God's favorite angel..." Ciri said as she drank again.

"Yeah... Those were the days..." he said bitterly not looking at her, "Can we talk about something other than my dad?"

"Of course... You really have a nice singing voice." she said changing subjects, leaning on the bar, "But that song... It sounded so sad."

"It's dedicated to Emily Kaldwin..." Lucifer said taking a swing from his glass, "She... was the second woman I ever loved."

"Oh, what happened to her?" she said sympathize with the man, "If you don't mind me asking."

"She saw a side of me I wish she didn't." he said bitterly still not looking at her, "...I left, couldn't look her in the eyes... Afraid she would now look at me the same way everyone else does... When I finally returned it was too late. You know I usually don't talk that much about myself personally, at least not this in depth. There is something special about you. I have talked about me, now tell me something about yourself. It's only fair."

He refilled their glasses, "We talked about your past, Geralt, Yennefer, the Wild Hunt, your bloodline and such. But I want to know something about Cirilla."

"There isn't much..." Ciri said with a shrug, "Not much from what I already told you."

"Come on, there must be something." Lucifer said before spotting something that peaked his interest at the bar, "Hold that thought, I'm about to apply my craft."

"I thought your craft is owning a nightclub." she said.

"That's more like a hobby, like sex." Lucifer said with a grin, "My craft is making deals."

Filling his glass again, he walked off towards the other side of the bar, leaning on the bar as he stood next to the pudge man, who looked down in his beer.

"Drinking the stress from work away?" Lucifer said taking a swing of his own drink, "Cheers to that. I completely understand, you have come to just the right place for that."

"I don't know what to do anymore." the man said not looking up from his beer, "This work... it's killing me mentally."

"Then quit. Find something else." Lucifer said as if stating the obvious as the man finally looked eyes with him, "So what is it that you would like to do?"

"I... I would like to sell my own ice-cream." the man said as if slightly in a trance, "I have my own recipes but I can't get a loan to start out."

"Another good thing you walked into Morning Star." Lucifer said with a smirk, "I will give you the money to start your business."

"You would?" the man said surprised and confused, "But why?"

"Because I enjoy granting desires." Lucifer said still with the same devilish grin, "I give you the money to start and in return, I get the first cone and I get my ice-cream for free from you for the rest of your life. What do you say? Do we have a deal?" holding out his hand.
