Nova's pov
I hear the front door slam shut. I walk over and see Erik seething.
"Erik! Draconis is napping upstairs. Please don't slam the door." I whisper to him hoping our three year old son doesn't wake.
"I'm sorry love" Erik says walking over to me cupping my neck and pulling me close. I get on my tip toes and kiss him. "I just had a rough day at the club tonight. Some blonde new there was a raid and well. Apparently there was a vampire feeding on a human in the bathroom. I thought this was all sorted."
"Erik, relax. How would this blonde know all this?" I ask trying to think of something that could help us.
"that's what I'm trying to work out" Erik finishes suddenly turning to the stairs. I see our little boy's blonde hair poke out through the stairs. "Come down my little boy I haven't seen you at all today. I must see how much you have grown since yesterday."
Draco comes running down the stairs squealing running into his fathers arms. Erik tosses him up in the air and catches him. Draco loves when Erik does that, I get a small heart attack. Erik is a fantastic Father. He hates missing time with Draco. He tries to get as much time with him as possible. He tries to help Draco understand his vampire side. He has taught him how to glamour and feed without hurting the fangbanger. Draco also knows he is not to do that without his father present.
"I'm hungwe" I hear my little boy say.
"What would you like my brave Viking?" Erik askes him holding him on his hip.
"MMMM. Spwagetti!" He yells starting to squirm to be let don't.
"Okay, my little wiggle worm, I'll make you that." I say walking towards the kitchen. I start boiling the noodles and warming up some homemade spaghetti sauce. I add part of a blood bag to his sauce. That way he doesn't have to eat twice. Erik walks over wrapping his arms around my waist from behind.
"I have to go back to the club my little witch." He whispers in my ear. "I have to go deal with the fall out. Pam is already there."
"Then why can't she deal with it? Draco misses you." I say.
"I'm sorry she will need my help. I hope to be back soon though"
"Alright"
"My little Viking I need you to watch over mom while I go back to the club." Erik says turning to Draco who is sitting at the table.
"Okay daddy. I miss you. I wove you." He says hugging Erik. I put his diner in front of him and dish up my own.
"See you later love." Erik says giving me one last kiss.
"Bye" I whisper going to sit down with Draco for another meal just the two of us.
A couple of days later I got to meet this blonde mind reading girl. Draco and I were visiting Erik at the club as I try to do while it's closed. I see Bill Compton and a blonde girl walk in. I'm holding Draco rocking him back and forth while he has his head in the crook of my neck.
"Hello Bill, Nice to see you." I greet
"Hello Nova, Your looking good. Who that?" Bill asks.
"Draconis Northman. We welcomed him into our lives 3 years ago." I reply.
"Congratulations Mrs. Northman." Bill says.
"Mrs. Northman?" The blond asks
"Yes child" I reply
"Are you like a descendent of Erik?" She asks
I chuckle "No I'm his wife. I have been since we were kids." I reply smiling softly to myself remembering our union. It was one for both of our people, but some how we ended up falling in love.
"Vampire can have children?" She gasps looking at Bill stunned.
"Relax young child. Male vampires can only have kids with witches. Nothing else" I explain.
Erik walks on with Pam flaking him. Erik walks over to Draco and I and kisses Draco on his forehead while touching his hair affectionately. Sookie sits down at a table.
"Pam. Longshadow and I are partners at this club. We recently noticed that 60 thousand dollars has gone missing from our books. Bruce is our accountant" sitting across the table from her is a shaking, sweating Bruce. I feel kind of bad for Bruce. That's probably the mother in me talking though. "perhaps you can start by listening to him" Erik says putting his hand on Bruce's shoulder.
"He's not saying anything." The blonde says
"Don't be coy. It's humbling enough to turn to a human for assistance. We know what you can do. My beautiful wife told me all about it." Erik says bosting about me. I turn to him and give him a quick look that says, please stop.
"And I know what you can do too. Why don't you just glamour him?" The blonde asks.
"Don't you think they would have tried everything before summoning you?" I say defending my husband.
"So it would be a great favour to me and if you help us." Erik says dramatically.
"If I find out who did it, then what?" She asks.
"We will turn that person over to the police and let the authorities handle it from there." Longshadow says. I shift a little way from him and shield my child from him. I get a bad feeling from him.
The blonde laughs "Hundreds of years old and your still a terrible liar, come on" the blonde sasses turning to long shadow. I chuckle She turns back to my husband. "I'll make you a deal, if you promise to hand over the person to the police, I'll agree to help you anytime you want" I look at the blonde knowing her deal is going to bite her in the bum. If the person is handed over to the police because they stole from a vampire they will get a slap on the wrist. It's very shameful.
"Alright, Why not?" My husband says seeing the same thing as I do.
The blonde takes the hand of Bruce. "Bruce it's okay take a deep breath" She says to him. I notice Bruce look up at me. I usually try to deal with the human staff to keep them calmer, but this time my husband was adamite they needed the fear of Odin put into them, to find out who stole the money. "Did you steal the money?"
"No, no, no you gotta believe me" He says with increasing agitation looking around at Erik, myself and the blonde girl. "I didn't do it. I sear to you." The blonde girl sushes him.
"Do you know who did?" She asks
"No" Bruce says looking down in shame and anger.
"He's telling the truth." She says looking up at Erik.
"You trust the skinny human to clear the fat one." Long shadow butts in.
Erik looks at the girl and Longshadow signs then says "Bring the next one in." Bruce puts his head down and cries.
I zone out watching my little boy as he sleeps. Finally, ginger is up. She a nice girl just she deals with Pam and Erik directly, so she gets glamoured a lot. Poor sweet girl.
"Ginger this woman has some questions for you be a good girl and answer them will you." Erik says
"Aye, Aye master." I glare at her. I hate when she gets flirty with my husband. The blonde reaches out to take gingers hand. "Don't you touch me" Ginger says while she pulls away.
"Hold her still" Erik tells pam. I go closer to Erik getting a bad feeling. I hold tighter to Draco, hoping he doesn't get hurt. Pam walks over and holds her down so the blonde can hold her hand.
"Ginger someones been stealing money from the bar" The blonde says
"Really" Ginger replies "Huh" She tenses up.
"She didn't do it" the blonde says. "but she knows who did."
"What? Fuck you." She replies.
"Who? Who's going to kill you? Ginger honey what's his name?" the blonde says. I whimper behind Erik. He glances at me. My bad feeling keeps getting worse. "It's blanks like her like her memory's been erased"
"I don't know anything I swear" Ginger says looking up at Pam and Erik.
"She been glamoured" Pam says to Erik.
"It's a vampire" The girl says.
Ginger looks over at long shadow and I see Longshadow lunge. So many things happen at once. Ginger screams, Draco wakes up crying. Erik stands in front of Draco and I so we can't see I put Draco's head in my chest hoping to quiet him down and so he doesn't see anything. Long shadow grabs the girls neck pins her down to the table and bares her neck so he can kill her. I see Bill's fangs come out.
"Ginger enough!" Pam says forcefully.
"Thank you" Erik says to Pam.
Bill grabs a wooden stick from the bar and stabs Long shadow. Long shadow vomits up a lot of blood in the blonde face, Ginger starts screaming again. Draco starts crying louder, because the screaming is hurting his ears. I try to cover them, but it doesn't help. Erik in still in front of us. I can barely see what's going on but it's enough that if Draco decides to turn around, he won't see anything. Long shadow then drops into a pile of goop. Erik and Pam share a look. Ginger the vomits all over the ground.
"Humans" Erik says. Ginger starts screaming again. "Honestly Bill I don't know what you see in her."
The blonde goes to clean up herself "Ginger stops screaming. I will not be subjecting my boy to this any longer. Clean up this mess as well." Erik says. Ginger gets on her knees cleaning and starts apologizing to her mom and saying other nonsense. As long as it isn't screaming, I'm alright. I'm rocking Draco back and forth trying to quiet him down. Erik takes Draco from my arms as he turns to Pam "After Ginger's finished glamour her for me."
"Are you sure? She's been glamoured one to many times already. Who knows how much of hers left." Pam drawls.
"It's either that or turn her. Want her?" Erik says while rocking Draco back and forth. I look down at the mess on the ground.
"Please, I'm not that desperate." Pam says "Glamour it is"
"Excellent" Erik says He turns to me "Love do you mind helping Ginger with a little of your magic."
"Alright." I say waving my hands and the wet blood starts to disappear. The chucks are still there for Ginger to clean up though.
Erik walks over to Bill still holding Draco "Come, I'll buy you a blood." He says walking to his office.
"Would you like me to take Draco?" I ask.
"No, I have him. I would like you to come with me." He says. I look longingly at his throne wanting to sit on it. His throne may look uncomfortable but he ordered the most comfortable, so Draco and I don't get uncomfortable sitting in it.
He heats up the blood in the microwave and heats up a blood bag for Draco. Draco is sitting calmly in Erik's chair playing with some cars. "How do you stomach that stuff?" Erik says giving his tru blood to Bill. He then pours the blood bad into a sippy cup for Draco. "Don't you find it metallic and vile?"
"I don't think about it. It's sustenance that's all." Erik chuckles and picks up Draco, then turns to it in his chair. Draco happily curls up in his fathers lap drinking his blood. I sit in my chair beside Draco. I smile at Draco. Draco waves at me like I'm far away. I give a tiny wave back. I look up and see Erik smiling down at us. I know Erik and Draco both love the moments when they get to cuddle. Erik would never admit it though. Cuddling is apparently unmanly. "What?" Bill asks
"If you're their poster boy. The mainstreaming movement is in very deep trouble" Erik says leaning back in his chair. Draco cuddles further into his chest. Erik wraps his arms around him. "Tru Blood it keeps you alive, but it will bore you to death." I chuckle.
"let's cut to the chase shall we?" Bill says urgently. Bill sits down.
"You killed a vampire Bill. For a human." Erik says
"Wouldn't you for your wife?" Bill asks
"Yes, but my wife isn't human. What are we going to do about this?" Erik asks
"What do you have in mind?" Bill finally asks obediently. I think he finally realized the trouble he is in.
"I'll take the girl." He says. I snap to attention and gape at him. How dare he? In front of our son.
"No" Bill quickly says "You can have anyone you want? You already have a wife and child. Why do you want her?"
"Why do you want her? You're not in love with her, are you?" Erik says looking at Bill. Erik and I will have lots to talk about when they leave.
"Sookie must be protected." Bill says
"Now that sounds like an edict, but it couldn't be because I would know about that." Erik says. Bill looks down. "Admit it, you love her."
"If I hadn't done what I did. Would you have let his disloyalty stand?" Bill asks
"Whatever I did to long shadow I would not have done in front of witnesses. Especially not vampire witnesses or children. Not smart Bill, not smart at all." Bill takes a sip of his Tru Blood. I look down at Draco and notice him sleeping. All that crying must have tired him right out. "I will come see you if we have to go to tribunal. Leave I believe Sookie is looking for you." Bill leaves the room quickly obviously wanting to get to Sookie.
"What was that Erik?" I say. "I know I've gained weight when I got pregnant with our son and I haven't lost it yet, but I can. Am I really that unattractive now? Stay with me for over a millennium, so I give you a son, then trade for the first cute woman you see." I say getting angry standing up.
"Sit down Nova." He says forcefully. I sit down. "You will wake our son and he doesn't need to hear his mother doubting my love for her. He also doesn't need to hear that his mother doesn't think she's beautiful since she had him. He might blame himself and I refuse that. You are gorgeous, Nova. I love you, very much. The girl is just a mind reader who won't get nose bleeds. I told you so many years ago, you're the only one for me and you are. You know that deep down." He says taking my hand he pulls me close then kisses me. "Nova, I love you and our son so much. I hope you will gift me with more children, but if you don't, I am happy with just you two."
"Alright. I'm sorry Erik. You're just aren't at home very often anymore. Draco and I miss you. The house is very empty. We also haven't had sex since Draco." I say looking down at my hands while I play with them. Felling very small and young.
"Nova" He says lifting my head to meet his eyes "I'm not home because I'm trying to make this place better for Draco and you. I can spend more time at home if that's what you would like. As for the sex I thought you would be to tired running around with Draco all day, being the amazing mother, you are to him. I also stayed away because I couldn't bare to be in the same room as you knowing I wasn't having you."
"Really?" I ask "We are having issues that we should have sorted out in the first hundred years. We obviously need to talk more. I'll try to come to you when I'm upset."
"I will always give you, your desires, Nova" Erik says, "I would give you and Draco the world should you ask."
"Do you think Pam would vampsit Draco for the rest of the night?" I ask
"I think she would. I will take you out for a nice diner then I will ravish you in our bed at home.
"I love that Idea." I say smiling up at him. I know my love for him will never fade or diminish.
