Chapter 7

After going to the Final Egg and going to the innards of the place, we eventually found Eggman at the very bottom of the place... and he seemed to be working on something specific. Something that looked almost like a metal contraption of sorts.

"Chaos may be against me and my Egg Carrier may be destroyed... but I will still have the last laugh! OHOHOHOHO!" Eggman chortled as I then simply waited for his laugh to end before letting myself be known.

"HAH!" I shouted, that making him gasp and look spooked at me before then growling.

"GRR! How'd you rats get here so quickly?!" he asked in annoyance as I then looked at Sonic and then at the egghead.

"For your information, I'm part mouse, not rat." I smirked.

"Silence! I have no business with you! For my invention is now complete! I will make Robotnikland and Station Square WILL perish! Toodles!" Eggman smirked as he then zoomed off into the distance, me about to give chase along with Sonic... before the Egg Viper came in to play.

"Dammit! Sonic, can you handle this bolted bastard while I chase Eggman?" I asked, him smirking at me.

"I'm always game for wrecking bolted bastards!" he smirked, me smiling as I got him to say a slur. I proceeded to jump after Eggman through the Final Egg until I managed to escape the place... just in time to see Eggman fly off towards the jungle towards where Big's place was. What was he up to? That was where Chaos would have gained the final of the Chaos Emeralds before getting the six others... y'know, if I hadn't convinced her to stop her plans.

Regardless, I rushed off towards the circular man into the jungle... before I saw what he was actually up to. He had somehow found Chaos AND the single Chaos Emerald... and he had put the invention inside of Chaos's head, which made it look like she were in pain!

"AUGH... AARRGHHH!" Chaos growled in anger and pain... before Eggman spoke. I stayed out of sight from both and listened in with my ears.

"The pain will end when you agree to destroy Station Square for me. If you refuse, then you'll be in even more pain! Eventually, you will die from the pain. And we wouldn't want that, would we?" Eggman asked with a sinister voice on par with his lines to Tails in his Egg Walker boss.

"RRRGH... FINE! JUST MAKE IT STOP!" Chaos shouted in pain, me gulping at it as Eggman then pushed a button on a controller and she then sighed as she looked to be relieved from the pain, but also even more depressed than I was in my Emo stage of life.

"Now, in order to destroy Station Square, you'll need the 6 remaining Chaos Emeralds. Find the mouse girl and take them by any means necessary," Eggman said menacingly as I then tossed a rock towards the river to their right, which made them look in that direction.

"That's where she must be! Go get her!" Eggman shouted, Chaos then rushing towards the river and me then proceeding to use the green emerald's power to make me weightless as I then silently went to Eggman's back and then, just before he could realize what was going on, I slapped his face with a very powerful bitch slap, to the point he fell out of the Eggmobile and even dropped the remote! I then proceeded to grab it and then noted that Chaos had noticed me. And before she could attack me, I proceeded to kick Eggman right in his nards, him gasping and holding his hands to his eggs that I just cracked.

"HOOOOooooggghhh!..." was all that Eggman could shout as I looked at Chaos and she looked at me in shock.

"Y-You... again..." she gawked as I simply showed off the controller in hand and then looked at Eggman.

"You want to do anything to the mad doctor? I've got his controller and I can try my hardest to get that hardware out of you," I asked, Chaos then giving a wicked grin and I could sense malice in her. So I had to say one more thing. "I'll allow it on one condition. Don't kill him," I said. And Chaos looked at me in shock.

"W-What? Why?!" she asked angrily as I looked at the Eggman and frowned.

"Because you'd be no better than this monster. Trust me, it'd be better to keep him alive so we can kick him in the nards again in the future," I said, Eggman simply hobbling to the Eggmobile in absolute pain. And Chaos seemed to be understanding of my words as I felt that this were exactly like the ending of the Saiyan Saga in DBZ.

"I will be back... and you will know my name," he said angrily as I sighed.

"Yeah, yeah, I already know it. But Eggman is much easier to say than Ivo Robotnik. Talk about a friggin' mouthful. And it's not even that easy to say!" I said, him growling as he then flew off in the Eggmobile... before I then got the yellow emerald from Chaos (the final one) and I proceeded to feel the power of the final emerald go inside of my body... and I felt like I was extremely powerful, yet at ease! I then looked at my hands and, thank god, I wasn't glowing.

"HEY! EGGHEAD! GET A LOAD OF THIS!" I shouted as I sent a blast of electricity at the bottom of the Eggmobile, which caused it to get even more power and for Eggman to fly into the distance with a supercharge!

"AAAHHHHHHH!" he yelled as Chaos then finally did something different. She started to laugh.

"I knew I'd get you to laugh at some point! Now, how about we go check back with Tikal back in Station Square?" I asked, that making Chaos lose her smile and gain a frown.

"Why would I want to do that?" she asked as I looked at my little Chao and the other egg, which I could feel was about to hatch.

"Tell me this. Did Tikal ever hurt any of the Chao in her life?" I asked, Chaos frowning still. "Or how about this? Why did she seal you and herself in the Master Emerald in the first place? Because I heard you lost it at the brutish Knuckles Clan and that she only did so to prevent you from killing the rest of the world," I said, Chaos then sighing out some bubbles and then looking at her hand, which actually looked like my own.

"I will admit my mistake... I did lose my mind at their cruelty... and I am pissed at Tikal for sealing me away... but you're right. She was just trying to protect people. That's what she prefers to do... I'll be civil, but only if you can help my Chao offspring," she said, me smiling and nodding.

"Got it. I'm sure we can work stuff out and make it so that the Chao are protected, not only by us, but by others," I said, Chaos smirking as we then proceeded to go towards the tram to go back to the Square. We probably had no more things to worry about with Eggman... especially after my plan for him.

It took a bit of convincing from Tikal, Maria, and even the mayor of Station Square, but we eventually decided that we'd contact the government of the USA to make some special laws about protecting the Chao. And what do you know, the government in question was none other than GUN, which was why Maria was very hesitant to do so. And when I asked her why, she told me something specific.

"The commander of GUN was my childhood friend on the ARK. And he doesn't know about me being alive," Maria said as I realized that Shadow the Hedgehog might actually happen... oh joy...

"Well, why not just tell him the truth?" I asked her.

"He wouldn't believe me. But even if he did, he'd probably hate my robotic guts," she said, me smiling at her.

"Listen, we all agreed that there would be no weapons allowed during our meeting. And this is the only way that we can protect Station Square as well, since it would make it so that it'd be impossible to pave over for any reason. And that's what Eggman wants as of current, okay?" I smiled, her finally agreeing.

"Okay, I'll do it..." she sighed. As for the group that was going to meet with the GUN agents, it was myself, the Station Square mayor, Maria, Tikal, and Sonic. And we met up with four different GUN agents. And wouldn't y'know, but all four of them were characters I knew! One was the Commander from Shadow the Hedgehog, then there was Topaz, who was ONLY in the comics and anime (big shock). A random agent was among the ranks... and finally, most importantly, Rouge the Bat. And our choice of venue? The restaurant in Station Square that had the fake person standing outside (which I always tried to use in the game to steal the golden Chao Egg and failing).

But because of that, all of them were incognito along with my group, us being in casual attire... so it made me surprised to see Rouge the friggin' Bat in a frilly dress of purple and pink and wearing a fedora on her head.

"So, why did you decide to meet here?" the commander asked as I simply smiled.

"Because I think that people can think easier on a full stomach," I smirked.

"Heh, you know how to treat us then," Rouge smirked at me, her having her original voice and not her hooker voice she'd get in the future installments.

"Then let's get down to business," I said as we sat at the big boy's table and I had myself seated in between Rouge and Maria with the commander, Sonic, and Topaz sitting across from me. "The rules that we wanted to instate are for the sake of the Chao, which are currently on the Endangered species list. My one ally, which Doctor Robotnik tried to use to destroy Station Square, is actually an ancient and mutated Chao. One that wants her race to live on without any issues. We want to know if we can make some extended laws to protect the Chao species... and since Robotnik wanted to use my friend to destroy Station Square to build Robotnikland, I also want to make it impossible to pave over this city," I said, the commander looking at me with a stern gaze, as I expected.

"Your ideas are a little misguided, if I may be so bold. Do tell, why would you want to make laws to protect a single species of creature as well as laws to prevent anything happening to Station Square specifically?" he asked.

"I shall answer the first question," Tikal said with a smile. "Chaos is the name of the mutated Chao. If anyone hurts the Chao and she's aware of it, she completely loses it. In the past, she destroyed the entirety of the Knuckles Clan and even other nations... only I was able to stop her by sealing myself and her inside an emerald," she said, that making Topaz frown next.

"Really? You expect us to believe that? Sounds more like a fairy tale than reality," she frowned.

"If you haven't noticed, I'm part human and part Mobian. Tell me, is there anyone out there in the world that has both human and Mobian traits in them?" I asked, that making Rouge think next.

"Huh... y'know, I think you might be the only one, at least to my knowledge. After all, anytime it's happened in the past, human and Mobian relations, they can't have kids together. So how come you're part Mobian?" she asked as I simply explained.

"Because of one reason. I was somehow teleported across the world from my home to the inside of the Master Emerald, which was where Tikal and Chaos were inside of at the time. And during the process, all three of us got our genes scrambled between each other. We're each one third of our respective species, those being Mobian, human, and Chao specifically. And we have the proof right here, courtesy of our own brainiac member," I said as I produced the papers that Tails made that depicted mine, Tikal's, and Chaos's genes to show that, indeed, I was correct.

"Hmm... this looks pretty detailed... I'm still not one for believing this thing, but the evidence is pretty undeniable. Very well, we can deliberate on these new laws," he said, the mayor smirking at that.

"Thank you, miss Cheryl. Not only do you save my city, but now you're protecting it and the Chao. Pretty impressive resume," he smirked at me.

"But there's one thing I'm still unsure of here," Topaz said, me raising my eyebrow at that.

"And what is that?" I asked her.

"This girl here, with the blonde hair... I feel like I've seen you before in a picture. But I don't know if it could be who I'm thinking about... so who are you?" she asked.

"Um... I'm uh... M-Maria... Maria Robotnik," she said shyly. And when she said that, it made the commander gasp when he not only heard the name, but also the voice. After all, Maria still had the same voice she had when she was shot in the past.

"I... It can't be... You were dead!... Is this a joke, or..." he was about to say before Topaz smirked.

"Of course! I knew that my mother's photos were of you! She said she rescued you by transferring your mind into a computer and then gave you a robot body! And she then put you in Witness Protection because you didn't want to be associated with GUN, right?" Topaz gawked, that making Maria look bashful as her head started to emit steam... probably the robot version of blushing.

"Y-Yeah... her name was Ruby, right?... Is she still around?" Maria asked, that making Topaz smile and nod as the commander looked a bit shell-shocked.

"This is uh... kinda cool. Almost like a reunion!" Sonic smirked. As aloof as I expected. Still leagues better than his portrayal in all games after Colors minus Generations.

"Wait... your last name is Robotnik. Does that mean you're related to Doctor Robotnik?" Rouge asked.

"Yes, I'm his cousin. Which only hurts more at how he's become just as much a villain as my grandfather. It's like I'm the lone wolf in my family that would rather be nice than do villainy," she sighed.

"Just like me with my clan," Tikal sighed.

"Regardless, I'd say that we should start getting into the nitty gritty. Because I ordered us quite a lot of food to eat while we talked... and I can smell it coming," I smirked.

"How can you smell the food?" Rouge asked.

"Mouse nose, duh," I giggled. And she simply facepalmed herself, which made me smile.

"Okay... we've almost got it, Chaos. Just grin and bear it a little bit longer," I said in annoyance, having to team up with Tikal, Knuckles, and even BIG THE CAT to try and yank Eggman's contraption out of Chaos. It was pretty hard to do so, since it seemed to be latched inside of her brain.

"JUST DO IT ALREADY!" Chaos shouted angrily as we then hefted one final time and, finally, we managed to completely yank out the machine that Eggman had placed inside of Chaos's head, her then turning into her puddle form momentarily as I noted that the machine was a shock-based one that had something else in it. A self-destruct mechanism that had a picture of an emerald with an M on it.

"What's this sticker supposed to mean? A self-destruct feature with this sticker?" I asked as I pointed it out and Knuckles gawked.

"That's it! Now I understand what's going on! Eggman was the one to destroy the Master Emerald, that's got to be the case!" Knuckles shouted, that making Chaos and Tikal surprised.

"But I thought it was Cheryl's punches of fear?" Tikal asked.

"Well, that depends. This sticker is on a self-destruct switch. And Chaos was attuned with the Master Emerald to extreme lengths. Eggman said the machine would kill her if he pushed the controller button... and the fact that the Master Emerald is the only one to have broken to pieces lately... I think Eggman must've made it explode with similar technology!... The only question is how?" I said.

"Well, he did steal the emerald roughly a year ago when he wanted to use the Death Egg to rule the world. Had I known about it being a prison for one of my ancestors and... whatever the heck you are, I wouldn't have even thought of trusting the guy once, let alone twice," Knuckles groaned, that making Chaos frown.

"At least you get things done. Unlike that blue hedgehog. Unless Eggman is around, it seems he doesn't do anything," Chaos said in annoyance. She was much more open to speech since the incidents with Eggman had happened and now, somehow, she was able to be heard by everyone... but there was one more thing that we'd learned since then.

"I'm just thankful for your encouragement to rescue my friends in the other E-Series... including my family," said the voice of the pink Flicky that was inside of Gamma. Yeah, apparently I could understand her and only select few others could, such as Chaos and Tikal! And when I asked Tikal how it was possible, she simply pointed to the Chaos Emeralds and my answer was given.

"Now I'm going to go back to my island to guard the Master Emerald... what about you guys?" Knuckles asked as Big smiled.

"Froggy and me are gonna go on vacation. Maybe go to a theme park," Big said... and for some bizarre reason, I must've thought he sounded like he did in the past because that's all I could hear... but in reality, he sounded MUCH more intellectual than his Barney the Dinosaur voice. Almost like he had... a voice similar to Broly from Dragonball Super specifically. Like a strong and gentle giant that could speak wisely, but had quite the strength when his friends were in danger. When we asked him for help with getting something out of Chaos, he was quick to help out, despite not knowing Chaos as anything more than the one that had swallowed Froggy the week prior.

"As for me, I've decided to hang out with Tikal, Chaos, and Maria. We're gonna go help out the efforts of protecting the Chao. But do give us a call if Eggman tries anything funny from here on out, okay?" I smiled at them, the group nodding at me.

"Can I travel with you, then? I may not be able to help that much, but it's the least I can do as a thank you for giving me the kick in the bolts I needed," the pink Flicky said, me smiling at her and nodding.

"Only if you tell me your name," I smirked at her.

"My name?... I didn't really have one, to be honest... just keep calling me Gamma," she said, me smirking at her.

"Gotcha," I smirked. And thus, the first adventure was finally done and over with. And it was only a matter of time before Doctor Eggman would start the events of Adventure 2 on his lonesome...
