Chapter 10

"You've GOT to be KIDDING ME!" I shouted at the commander in thought, feeling extremely pissed off. Why was I pissed? Because the commander, also known as Agent X, or Commander Xavier, was the one to enact the plans for what happened on the island base! Why? Because he felt that we were traitors to the entire world for being double agents working for Eggman and for plotting to destroy the GUN island base!

"You need to learn your place, you traitor. I know how strong you are and I can say this much. Your plans won't succeed," he said to me angrily in thoughts as I then growled angrily, only then arriving to the others in the place, them talking about where the first demonstration shot would be. And after learning that the commander was just as big a jerk as he was depicted in Shadow the Hedgehog?! I decided the PERFECT area to strike the warning shot at.

"I just don't know... why Station Square?" Maria asked, me frowning at that.

"Trust me, I know what I'm doing," Eggman said, me frowning at him and deciding to use my real voice.

"Unfortunately, no, you do not," I said, that making Eggman gasp.

"What the?! You?! The mouse girl?!" he asked in shock, that making Shadow glare at me as I then groaned.

"I. Have. A NAME! It's Cheryl Martinez and I should let you know that I know the PERFECT place to send that warning shot!" I said angrily, that making Eggman surprised.

"Wait... you WANT to help me?!" he asked.

"Shadow, Maria, and myself have a common enemy now. We wish for revenge on a specific group of people. The group of people in person? GUN. Or, more specifically, the commander, who declared all three of myself, Maria, and Rouge as traitors to the world because of us being double agents. So I think I'm going to send a warning shot at a GUN facility, preferably the MOST expensive one. It serves him right for kidnapping Chao to turn into weapons and trying to lock up Maria and Rouge on the island base to be exploded to bits!" I said angrily, that making Maria gasp.

"B-But... what about the other people that might get hurt?" Maria asked.

"I've discovered during the instance at the GUN base that I can use Shadow's Chaos Control, which is enhanced due to my attunement with the Chaos Emeralds. I'll simply teleport all the innocents away from the area before we let out the warning shot, got it? I just care about hurting the commander's wallet, especially considering that he tried to kill you and Rouge," I said, Maria frowning at that.

"I didn't know that Xavier could be so cruel... fine. If you promise that there will be no deaths, just tons of destruction, I'll be fine with it," Maria said, Shadow then frowning and nodding at that.

"Then it's settled. I know the most expensive GUN area on the planet, that being a secret base filled with tons of machines of war. It's in the Arizona desert, Area 49," Rouge said, me smirking at the fact that it was different, but the same general place that literally no one was allowed to escape.

"Okay, then I'd say it's time to aim the weapon and give the world a message. A message about what happens when they trust the commander of GUN," I said as we then went to the area for the eclipse cannon and Eggman then got on camera. Maria hacked into every television in the world with her electronical body and, shortly after, I then placed a dark hood on me so that I wouldn't be recognized.

"Attention, all people of the world. My name is doctor Eggman!" the doctor said, me smirking at him doing that as I then introduced myself and my new alias.

"And I am Mistress C. Watch and learn what happens when you trust the government of GUN, whose commander is willing to try and kill his own agents and harm the innocent," I said as I then proceeded to use Chaos Control on all the personnel of Area 49 and teleported the lot of them all over the world to different areas. And once that was done, I then got a bunch of other people within 10 miles also teleported out of the blast range. And once I did so, Eggman then shot the blast at Area 49, it making a giant hole. The explosion was big enough to be seen from space as I smirked at how tons of money was wasted in the blink of an eye. And once the hole was made, Eggman then proceeded to set the timer for 24 hours.

"If the human race refuses to see the error of their ways within the next 24 hours, you will all submit to the powers of not only the Eggman Empire, but also learn that, if you mess with the Chao, you are going to be punished accordingly! And if I can't punish you because of how strong you are, then I'll destroy your wallets, your reputation, and your entire way of life! You hear me, Commander Xavier? You do NOT mess with me!" I shouted into the camera, me then ending the call and then immediately hearing Tikal speak to me in my head.

"What have you done?! Why are you doing this, Cheryl?!" Tikal asked me in extreme shock.

"Easy, I made sure there weren't any people around the place. I teleported them away before loosing the shot. And I'm only doing this because GUN's commander betrayed us," I thought to her in annoyance.

"I still don't like this one bit. I can't believe you're teaming up with Eggman," she frowned.

"It's less that it's a team up and more that I need to make people see how Commander Xavier is the one that kidnapped Chao to create war machines, locked Maria and Rouge in a vault to die, and declared us traitors as the reason for doing so." And when I explained about the Chao issues, she then gasped.

"You should've led with that!… But so you know, most of the others are plotting to cone after you and they're making a plan to get to the ARK to stop you from firing the cannon again. So be careful," Tikal said, me nodding at that.

"I'll try to make them understand without casualty. I promise," I thought to her. And shortly after, I got a transmission on my walkie talkie.

"Agent Cheryl? You read me?" Topaz asked in the device... man, these things had great reach!

"Yes, I read you, Colonel Topaz," I said with a frown, noting that Rouge and Maria were listening in.

"I'm going to assume that, due to you loosing the Eclipse Cannon on GUN's most expensive base of operations in Area 49... it's because Commander Xavier admitted to you that he was the one to do those things, right?" Topaz asked, me growling.

"He said that all of us were traitors working for Eggman, which is why he made the program to kidnap the Chao and perform experiments on them to make a new super weapon as well as trap Maria and Rouge in the vault of Chaos Emeralds with mere minutes before the island blew up!" I said in anger.

"That's exactly what I found out too... when he fired me," she said, me gasping at that, as did Rouge.

"He can't do that! You're the most respected colonel in the entirety of GUN! Where are you right now?!" Rouge asked into the walkie-talkie.

"I'm currently with Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Chaos. We were also fired from our Agent status. And we're planning to come to the ARK to stop the Eclipse Cannon from firing again. I don't want you to get reckless and fire it at every GUN base, so we're planning to stop it. I just want to let you know that I support your decision, since I have heard already from Tikal that you warped everyone in the facility away so they could see their families again... as well as our resident alien," she said, me then doing a legit double-take.

"Resident alien?... You mean that they had an alien in their custody?" I asked in shock.

"And just mentioning it will probably make me a wanted outlaw, but it doesn't matter, since I'm already fired. She was found at a very young age and is very nice. But because of GUN and the human fear of aliens in general, she was not allowed to leave. She can also breathe in space, much like Mobians can," she said, me then smacking my face at that.

"Mobians... breathing in space? How does that make any sense?..." I groaned. "But regardless, I just hope that this alien doesn't try to do anything on her lonesome," I frowned.

"Not likely. She's very peaceful and hates violence of any kind. Her name in the facility was UMA-1, but her actual name is Cosmo."... yet another character from the anime specifically. Why was this happening?

"I'm going to contact the commander again to see what he has to say, now that we dealt a massive blow to his finances," I said to her.

"Just be aware, he doesn't give up so easily," Topaz warned.

"Yeah? Well neither do I," I said as I then changed to speaking with my mind to contact Xavier again, me using my mind's powers with the white emerald to see that he was currently in another base... and that he had a little girl I recognized instantly, locked in a cage that she couldn't possibly move an inch within! "Hey, asshole! What's with the little girl being crammed in a cage too small for her?!" I asked angrily. It was Cream the rabbit, who was in a cage so tiny, she had to constantly be in her balled up state with Cheese being in between her knees for protection.

"If you must know, I've captured her because she stole our secret plans on the Chaos Robots. And I will only ensure her safety in response to your plans of Armageddon to be retracted," he said, me then growling at him.

"Armageddon?! I'm not planning on destroying the world, asshole! I'm only interested in making the world see how much of a fucking hypocrite you are! Making laws to ensure the protection of the Chao, but then breaking those very same laws! Now, I'm going to give you a chance to redeem yourself. Release Cream and her Chao from custody, right now. If you fail to do that, then I'll show you just what I do to villains as despicable as you," I said angrily in thought... and what did the commander do?

"Hmph. I have a better idea," he said as he then produced a SHOCK STICK and poked it at Cream, who screamed in pain after she felt it touch her skin!

"THAT TEARS IT!" I shouted angrily as I then used Chaos Control without saying it and teleporting directly next to the commander, slamming my fist into his face, forcing him to drop the shock stick. And at the same time, I used the powers of the purple emerald to take the shock stick and snap it in two, rendering it useless. He then tried to put a gun to my face, but I used the powers of the yellow emerald (in Tails's possession) to create a barrier of electricity around my body and Cream's, which deflected the bullet right into his shoulder, causing him to shout in pain.

"Rgh... you traitorous-" he was about to say before I cut him off with a groin kick, making him sing tenor as he fell to the ground.

"Sorry, but I don't deal with kidnappers, especially when they kidnap little girls. You sick freak," I growled as I then used purple again to break his left and right arms, making him in even more pain before I then pried open the bars that Cream was trapped in, her looking scared at me as I then held out my hand.

"Come on, we need to get out of here," I said, her then gulping and nodding as she then wearily exited the cage and held onto me.

"B-But... my mom... w-what if she's also locked up here somewhere," she said, me frowning as I then looked at Xavier again, who was now nothing but a broken man on the ground.

"Where. Is. Her mother?" I asked him bluntly.

"I'm not... telling you anything..." he said with a vileness in his voice unmatched by even his portrayal in Shadow the Hedgehog.

"WHERE. IS. HER. MOTHER?" I asked again, but this time with a much more menacing and deep voice.

"You think I'd tell anything... to you?... Peheheh... I'm too powerful... to be placed in prison... you have zero proof of anything... and I can just as easily get you arrested..." he said with a smug smirk... but afterwards?

"I wouldn't say that, Agent X," said the voice of none other than Topaz!... Who happened to look older than she did? And how was she here instead of with the others like she said before?... Regardless, she came out of the shadows with a video camera! But not just any video camera. One that was made and used by GUN!

"T-Topaz?! I ordered you to be fired and never come back!" he growled angrily at her.

"You don't recognize me, Xavier? I'm Ruby, the one who saved your best friend, that you then tried to kill! Remember? You're just a criminal portraying the hero You violated those laws on your own, you tried to kill your supposed best friend and one of our top agents, and you kidnapped and tortured a little girl! And I have all the evidence I need to get you behind bars for a good long time," she glared at him as she then pushed a button on her camera and, instantly, my phone and Cream's phone got a notification... and we saw that it was uploaded to literally a million different people at the same time! But I was more surprised at the fact that Topaz's mother was here in a GUN base...

"I do believe you'll need to start working on your alibi, because it looks like all the presidents across the world also got the message, asshat," I said to him with a frown.

"Um... what's an asshat?" Cream asked, me smacking my face afterwards as Topaz then took Xavier's hands and cuffed them with electronic cuffs before confiscating all of his weapons, 6 to be exact.

"It's uh... a bad word... I forgot how young you were and accidentally swore... no saying it, okay, Cream?" I smiled at her.

"Don't worry miss Cher. I'd never curse... momma would be very mad if she heard..." she was about to say before then gasping. "Oh my gosh! Momma! We need to save her!" Cream said with worry as I then tried to search for Vanilla with the emeralds... and smiled at how she was roughly 20 miles away from us and in her house.

"Don't worry, Cream. She's still at home. I can sense that she's 20 miles away from us, which I can teleport us there easily," I smiled, Cream sighing afterwards.

"She's probably worried sick about me... Can you please take me home, miss Cher?" Cream asked, me smiling and nodding at her.

"I'll handle Xavier. I have backup on the way in the form of Tikal, Chaos, and twenty soldiers," Ruby said, me nodding at her as I held onto Cream's furry hand (she wasn't wearing gloves) and focused on the only other rabbit Mobian that shared her DNA... and after arriving at her location, I saw that it was a house high on a hill, overlooking a small city in the distance. And the momma rabbit looked at me and Cream in shock... and the fact that my body had somehow absorbed Cream's traits so that I now had a fluffy bunny tail, bunny ears, and even gained two buck teeth (small, but still buck).

"Oh my! What's going on... wait... CREAM!" Vanilla said in surprise as Cream then rushed over to her momma and hugged her legs tightly while Cheese floated along with her.

"Momma! It was so scary!" Cream cried as Vanilla looked at me with a smile.

"You're that Mistress C, right? The one that fired a moon laser at the GUN base just a half hour ago? And helped detain the horrid man that captured my daughter?" she asked, me smiling at that.

"I see you got the message, too. That jerk got what he deserved... in the form of me removing his emeralds from existence," I smiled, Vanilla smirking at me.

"Yes, I saw the video... so now that he's captured, are you going to halt the laser blast that'll happen in 22 hours? Or not?" Vanilla questioned me further.

"Well... sure, I could prevent it from firing, but Eggman and Shadow are the ones that I need to convince. Besides, I want to see if the people of the world all realize that GUN's commander is a traitorous monster. If at least 70 percent of humanity and Mobians agree that Xavier needs replaced with a better commander, then I'll do my darnedest to stop the laser blast... also, my name is actually Cher. I just used Mistress C so that people wouldn't recognize me, since I saved Station Square from Eggman a month ago," I said.

"Very well... I thank you for rescuing my daughter, regardless. When you get the chance, why not stop here again for some tea and cookies?"

"I'd love to," I smirked as I then petted Cream on the head and smiled at how she looked at me with the cutest face ever. "I'll see ya around, kid. I'll make sure that bad guy gets his comeuppance for what he did to you, specifically," I said.

"And what did he do?" Vanilla asked.

"Kidnapped her pet Chao for me to rescue, then kidnapped both of them and trapped them in a cage that was so small, they were forced to sit in a ball... and then, the reason I rushed in and attacked him, he stuck her with a shock stick. You can sue him if you want, since I'm sure that part also was on the video," I said, Vanilla then looking at the video herself and then showing it to me. It was hard to see, since Ruby was in a certain angle where it made it difficult to see him stick her with the shock stick... but you could hear Cream screaming in pain. But it did, however, show me grabbing his shock stick and snapping it in half.

"Yes, this should be evidence for me to make him pay for hurting my daughter. He won't get away with this," she said, me nodding at that.

"Now that that's settled, I need to go back to the ARK to check on the others. Wish me luck," I said, her nodding as I then teleported away, but not before showing off. "CHAOS CONTROL!" I shouted before the teleportation, me focusing directly next to Maria, who was looking out the window to the planet earth alongside Shadow, the two of them looking to be sharing a very nice moment together.

"Shadow... I wanted to tell you something..." she said, Shadow then looking at her with a smile. "Even though I am still alive... I do not like the fact that I'm completely robotic... but regardless, I am forever grateful to that one single GUN agent that rescued me... she gave me my greatest dream come true... two of them, actually... to be able to live a life on the planet Earth... and to be freed from my dreadful disease... I know that there are many others like her on that planet... what do you think?" she asked, Shadow then looking to have sad eyes before looking at Maria's chest and sighing.

"Maria..." he said solemnly. "I still feel the sorrow from seeing you get shot through the heart... why would they try to kill you?" he asked as I then smiled.

"Well..." I said, getting their attention. "From what I learned from talking to the agent's daughter, she was aiming at you, Shadow... but Maria took the bullet for you. That's the reason she tried to rescue Maria... because she didn't mean to kill her," I said.

"Maria... is that true?" Shadow asked, Maria nodding with a small, sad smile.

"It's true... I pushed you into the escape capsule and getting shot instead of you... I was barely alive as I felt her pick up my body... before using a nearby machine to send my conscious mind into a computer chip... and that computer chip is now my brain in this body..." Maria smiled.

"So what do we do now, then?" Rouge asked us after arriving from another door.

"Did you hear all of that?" I asked.

"Look at my ears and ask me again," she said, me smacking my face again at the stupid question I asked.

"Ugh... I made my own plan after taking down commander Xavier with assistance from the very same agent that rescued Maria, Agent Ruby," I said, Rouge gasping.

"Agent Ruby?! She's been retired for 8 years! How did she get there?" Rouge asked.

"I do not know, but she was there alongside Tikal and Chaos, so I guess both of them contacted her after my message to the world," I said.

"So what is this plan?" Rouge asked.

"I want to have a special vote among the people of the world. To ask them if they want to make someone else the commander of GUN and get Xavier locked up. If 70 percent or more agree, we'll call off the laser attack. But if they don't? We'll still do it, firing it at another GUN base," I said.

"But not at full power, right?" Rouge asked.

"Just enough to get the message across," I said.

"Hmph," Shadow scoffed as he then looked out at the planet and then at us.

"I'm good with that..." Maria smiled.

"Same," Rouge smirked.

"Three to one, Shadow, sorry," I smirked.

"Fine," he pouted again.
