The inside of the washing machine glistens and twists, sloshing water and throwing wet clothes against its walls.
No matter how many times Sonic tells him not to play in them, Tails doesn't listen. He's too entranced by the motion, the repetitive rocking, the wonderful mechanical rumblings that comfort him.
Even though he knows—something inside him knows—that he shouldn't, he climbs in anyway.
He shuts the door behind him. He listens to the sound of the pump beginning to start. He grips his knees, closes his eyes, and counts to 99.

The moral of this story is it's okay to stim, kids.
But ask your pastor.
