Chapter 18
"WHOA!" Blaze shouted the moment she saw us looking at her, her then jumping off the ground as I saw the fur stand up all over her tail. And she looked at us like we were extremely untrustworthy. "Who are you?" she asked, me looking at her with seriousness.
"Um... the ones that healed your wounds? You were unconscious and had tons of injuries. Us Mobians have to stick together... and half-Mobians, I guess," I said, her looking at me in utter confusion.
"What?... What's a Mobian?" she asked... but then she looked at her hand, me gulping at that. She saw she had human skin on her with very little fur on her arm. "W-WHA?! W-What's going on?!" Blaze asked before then looking at a nearby pool of water, her then gasping when she saw her face. And then, she started to growl. "Why that little!... if he's here too, my world is in danger... I must find them, by any means!" Blaze said with seriousness, me looking at the others and them smiling.
"How about we help?" I asked, that making Blaze give us a glare as her hand erupted in flames.
"I can do this by myself! Don't interrupt me!" Blaze said in anger, me frowning at her. She was about to fly away with her flames, but I simply halted her flame powers with my powers of the red emeralds. And she gasped when she saw that, her looking at me in surprise.
"Look, I don't know if you noticed, but you got rescued by us. And if you need something to be found, then look no further than Rouge here. She's an excellent treasure hunter! Cream is an adorable powerhouse, and I have mastery over the Chaos Emeralds. I'm sure we could find whatever you're looking for if you just let us help," I said, her then looking at our group, then at my hands, which were also alit with flames... before then finally capitulating.
"Fine. Have it your way," she said, me nodding as we all then proceeded to follow her through the level of Night Carnival and Rouge then asked.
"So, what're we looking for, miss? And what's your name?" Rouge asked.
"Blaze... my name's Blaze... and we're looking for the Sol Emeralds," she said, me having a feeling she felt very hesitant to be cooperative because of her past. But she knew she was in a different world as well as needing help to find these Sol Emeralds. And when she said that, Rouge gasped at the name.
"Wait... Sol Emeralds?... That kinda reminds me of something I learned of from a small assignment to Soleanna," Rouge said, me gulping at that. What was she going to say? A possible added plot to Sonic 06? "There's apparently some kind of deity that was said to have Sol as part of its name... What was it? Solo? Solitaire?..." Rouge asked before Blaze then gasped as she then said it for us.
"Solaris... no... i-it can't be..." she said in shock, me looking at her with seriousness.
"Anything that needs to be explained? Or is it confidential?" I asked, her then looking at me and then frowning.
"Solaris... she is the deity of my Sol Emeralds... And she's been missing from her shrine ever since... the incident... where my nemesis merged my universe with another one, using the Sol Emeralds to do so. If he's here in this one and tries the same thing... no! We need to stop him! And afterwards, you tell me everything you know about this Soleanna and what you know about Solaris!" Blaze said with seriousness, me feeling that this was probably one of the best tie-ins to Blaze being in 06 if it had been given any further time and effort.
"Sounds like miss Chaos being the one tied to the Chaos Emeralds, right, Miss Cheryl?" Cream asked, me then being surprised as I noted that they were still on me and hadn't tried to disperse after we went into Super Forms against Metal Sonic.
"Maybe these Sol Emeralds are similar in power to the Chaos Emeralds... aha!" Rouge smirked as she then had her ears prick up and then she looked up to a skyscraper in the distance. "I sense 7 different emeralds up on that skyscraper! That's got to be the Sol Emeralds!" Rouge said with seriousness.
"Great! Couldn't be any simpler!" I smiled as we then jumped up to the roof of the building... to see that there was a very tall crane-shaped robot there and that it had a certain someone in the cockpit.
"D-Doctor Eggman?! How is he here ahead of us?" Cream asked in surprise.
"Hmph, you neglect to call me by my full name, little runt," the darker-clad version of Eggman said, me noting that he sounded much crueler and more sinister than our Eggman ever could, as expected.
"Hey, don't be rude to her! She's, like, 6! And you're calling her names?! If you don't like being called that, then tell us who you really are!" I shouted at him.
"Hehehe... very well. I will tell you. I am Eggman Nega! And I am going to rule over the entire multiverse using these precious little rocks!" he smirked as he then simply held on in hand, it being the pink one.
"ACK! I KNEW IT! You're the one that stole the Sol Emeralds! You were the one that teleported me to this world and have me look like a freak! I will DESTROY YOU!" Blaze shouted as she then proceeded to jet her whole fiery body up towards Eggman Nega, who retaliated by having what looked like a gun in his hand! Instinctively, I forced a yellow barrier of electricity around Blaze JUST in time to block the bullet he would've used to shoot her dead! She then grabbed hold of him, still in the cockpit, and then, after swiping all 7 Sol Emeralds, she looked like she was going to do something nasty, but I simply held her back with a barrier of ice freezing both of them in solid ice. They weren't in danger, but they couldn't move their bodies an inch. I then hovered up to their area and looked at Blaze with seriousness.
"Here's a bit of advice from woman to woman, Blaze," I said, her looking like she was getting pissed at me. "There are two things that a hero is supposed to do as their duty. One, is to protect. And the other is to spare. We can make it so that this bastard never sees the light of day ever again, or any light for that matter. But you need to promise me that you will spare him. I know it may be hard, but think. You're in front of a little girl. What would she think if she saw you kill right in front of her?" I asked, that finally making Blaze stop her anger... I then unfroze her head only and she looked at me with seriousness.
"I understand... you seem knowledgeable about things... but if you'd know what he's done in the past, then you'd not want him spared," she said, me looking at her and nodding.
"You already said it earlier. That he merged two universes together. I can only imagine that tons of casualties happened in the process, right?" I asked. And Blaze then sighed as I actually saw tears of flames fall from her eyes.
"I was the only one in my world that survived... everyone in my family was killed, along with the entirety of my universe. I need to get some kind of payback for the trillions of lives he killed across not only my planet, but all the planets in my universe as well," Blaze said, me looking at Nega and seeing that he was still frozen in place.
"I think I have an idea. I'm going to go ahead and make a call right now, since he is incapacitated as of current," I said as I then made a call to Topaz. "Commander Topaz? This is Agent Cheryl... I kinda found a couple things that may correlate to this strange reading you got on your radar," I said to her.
"Really? Well, report your status, then!" she said on the other end.
"It correlates to two different people and a set of 7 gems... and all three come from a different universe," I said, that making Topaz gasp.
"I thought that the reading was off! The readings said that there was a tear in the space-time continuum, but it seems to have completely halted as of current... what are their names?" Topaz asked.
"Um... Blaze is the good one, the emeralds are called Sol Emeralds, and the villain is... Eggman Nega," I said. There was a bit of silence afterwards before she spoke again.
"Eggman Nega? You mean that it's an Eggman from a different dimension?" Topaz asked as Blaze looked utterly confused at what was going on as Rouge then flew up to us along with Cream and Cheese.
"We're uh, kinda members of an international protection government... not Cream, though. She just came to go on carnival rides," Rouge smiled to Blaze. She simply nodded as I continued.
"Yes, and according to Blaze, this particular version of Eggman combined two different universes together using these Sol Emeralds. And it resulted in everyone from Blaze's universe minus her getting slaughtered. I have him trapped in ice as of current as a form of capture... but I need to know what to do with him?" I said to her.
"Hmm... I do not know, but I think that you could think of something, right?" Topaz asked, me looking at the others, and then at Blaze, who looked at me with seriousness.
"Okay, I think I know a fitting punishment... but I'll need Blaze's help to do so," I said, Topaz speaking to me after.
"I trust your judgement, Agent Cheryl," she said before cutting the connection. I looked at Rouge and then at Cream.
"Rouge, can you take Cream to go on the rides now? I need to do something with Blaze regarding this eviller version of Eggman," I said, Cream looking at me in concern.
"Y-You're not going to hurt him, are you?" Cream asked, me shaking my head no.
"No, we're just going to take him to a place where he'll never be able to hurt anyone ever again," I said, her smiling at me afterwards.
"Okay, so long as you don't do anything you might regret," Cream said as Rouge finally put her disguise on and both of them proceeded towards the area that had the most rides. I looked at Blaze and then finally unfroze her, but leaving Eggman Nega frozen.
"Hmm..." Blaze said as I then spoke.
"Hello? Blaze? I want to tell you what I have in mind for Eggman Nega's punishment," I said, her then looking at me and sighing. "You look like you have a lot on your mind... you want to talk about it? Talking about it can be better than just holding onto it forever," I said, her then looking at me before then having more tears of fire fall from her eyes.
"My flames... I was unable to control them while I grew up... I got hurt badly for it by the other kids... I only managed to learn how to control them when I became the guardian of the Sol Emeralds... but I'm very hesitant to talk to people... the wounds are still there and they're very bad," Blaze said, me sighing at her and nodding.
"I know what you mean, Blaze... I was bullied a lot while I was in school. But I learned something from my experience. All of those bullies grew up to live terrible lives. And I made something of myself, becoming a counselor at that very same school so I could help others that went through what I did... before I was sent to this world by complete accident by another version of Eggman... but this version did it more as an accident than on purpose," I said, that making her tilt her head, but she still felt upset. "If you would like, I could come to your world for a bit to try and help you out a bit. And afterwards, we could find out how to get Solaris back where she belongs," I said, Blaze finally giving a smile.
"Very well... but what is the punishment you have in mind for Eggman Nega?" Blaze asked.
"Just hold onto both him and myself... and I'll warp us to an area he'll never be able to escape from," I said. I then focused on a specific area, that being the very bottom of Mystic Mansion. And when we arrived, we saw that the ghosts there looked pretty surprised at our appearance and they were in the middle of a dance.
"Oh! You've returned again?... And who are these two?" asked Shade... had to keep reminding myself that she was dead.
"Well, this one in the ice cube is a very terrible person... one that killed an entire universe. I want to know if you guys can keep him stuck in this mansion and make it so that he'll never be able to escape," I said, that making the ghosts then look at Eggman Nega... and then they started to chant something. It was the same chant that the song did in Hang Castle when it was upside-down. And they gasped at something.
"My word... he's a monster!... We can make sure he'll never escape, that much we can promise," Shade said as she then grabbed onto the iced eggshell before then having him touch a specific switch. And when they did it with him, we gawked at how he completely disappeared!
"Whoa! Where'd he go?!" Blaze asked.
"To the spectral realm of this castle... he will never be able to escape, given that he has innumerable sins. The more sins you've accumulated, the more time you spend there. And since he killed an entire universe in mad conquest, he'll stay there forever," Shade said, me smiling at that as I saw that Blaze sighed and finally looked at me with genuine happiness.
"T-Thank you... your name is Cheryl, you said?" she asked, me nodding at that. "I know my family would be proud of you... they were never fans of inflicting pain or murder on anyone, so finding an alternative route to punishing Eggman Nega... I thank you, from the bottom of my heart," Blaze smiled at me.
"You're welcome, Blaze... so you want to have both of us go to your world, then? Or would you rather want to go take a visit to Soleanna?" I asked. And it was then that I heard a voice from nearby.
"Soleanna?" asked none other than Sticks, who appeared from my pocket! I didn't know she was so sneaky! "I heard that they'll be having a Festival in 3 days from now! I want in, mate!" she said, Blaze looking at her in confusion.
"Y'know... maybe we should make you an honorary agent, Sticks? You're a master at sneaking around without anyone the wiser," I said as she then grew to normal size next to me and Blaze.
"An agent? For them government guys?! No thank you!" she said, me frowning at that.
"GUN isn't your typical government facility. They're more about protection than they are attacking. Especially with Commander Topaz in charge," I said, that making Sticks finally look at me and then at Blaze.
"Only if I can get some alone time with you," she said, me smacking my face. She was so insistent on it!
"I'll need to contact Maria, then. She's my girlfriend and I really don't think she'd be too keen on it," I said as I then called her up, wondering what her response would be.
"You're kidding me, right?" I asked in surprise at Maria's response. What did she say?
"I'm okay with it. Besides, it's not like we can have kids together when we're girls and I can't have kids regardless. So long as you don't play favorites, I'm fine with it," Maria said, me being surprised as well as secretly annoyed. She was okay with polygamy? It made me so confused... and the fact I was to have a sex session with Sticks... which I am not going to write down, as that would be smut.
"So, we can do it, then? Great!" Sticks smirked... and Blaze was still with us, so that was annoying as sin.
"You will tell no one, got it, Sticks? And you too, Blaze," I said, that making the fiery princess snicker a bit.
"Fine, but I at least want to get to work on learning about this Soleanna place afterwards," she said, me nodding at her. It was time to finally bite the bullet and have sex... with a furry... oh god...
