Chapter 4 - A New World Part 4
Twenty minutes prior...
Inside Bee's interior, the siblings sat in the back seat. Daisy had her headphones on viewing out the window while Vaporeon took a nap on her lap. Jon, on the other, was trying to muster up the courage to talk to his guardian.
"... Bumblebee...?" He said in a soft tone a bit unsure, "You're not mad, are you? Like, at Daisy or me?"
Bumblebee was silent for a moment, "Honestly, I'm a little disappointed that Daisy would leave you alone like that. Not even on our earth would a parent live their child by themselves."
Jon frown, "Bee... You don't know the full story. Daisy was with me until I got my second gym badge!"
At this moment the girl turned down the volume on her headset to listen in on the conversation.
"And what about the whole kidnapping thing? Daisy confirmed you got kidnapped! Where you by yourself then?"
"No! That was four weeks ago, she was still with me even then!"
Bumblebee slams his brakes almost making the poor pokemon go flying. Luckily there weren't any cars behind him, so he pull over to the side of the road.
"FOUR WEEKS AGO?! DAISY, YOU STILL THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO LET HIM ON HIS OWN?!"
Daisy took off her headphones and Vaporeon is now wide awake. The girl was rather annoyed that he was jumping to conclusions. "You're jumping to conclusions Bee," doing her best to stay calm.
She took a deep breath remembering the memory, "The reason for Jon's kidnapping was because I couldn't save him in time. The mercenaries took him, they wanted to huggle him." She looks over to her brother for support, he nodded his head for her to continue.
Bumblebee interrupted, "Why would they want him for?"
"... An exchange for a powerful pokemon..."
This time Jon answered, "Mewtwo."
Bumblebee was now lost for words, he didn't understand. This world didn't make any sense to him. They kidnapped his charge for a 'powerful' creature? What was so great about it? How is Jon not traumatized by the experience? He had so many questions.
The trainers then told him about their encounter with a legendary pokemon. Where they met at an abandoned research lab by Team Plasma. Jon's kidnapping and how the mercenaries were working for a company that was trying to replicate Mewtwo's DNA. How they stop them and help free the pokemon; finally bid their farewell.
The Autobot let his newfound information sink in. It now made sense in a way he thought, he will have to tell Jazz and the Twins about it when they get back to base. Bumblebee carefully asked Jon his question, "How are you not scared? To be by yourself?"
Jon tilts his head a little, "Because I'm not alone, I have my Pokemon with me."
"They won't always be by your side."
He looks down, "I know, that's why I have to get strong, so they don't have to worry about me!" Now smiling facing Bee's dash.
Bumblebee couldn't help but sigh a relief, "You have a strange way of determination kid."
Daisy couldn't help but smile.
"Now that you know the full story," gaining the Mech's attention, "Where are Jazz and the twins headed too?" The girl asked.
Corviknight flew through the air as the siblings rode on her back, before departing from the ground, Bumblebee told them that Jazz and the twins were at the power station, and needed to collect Energon for the Ark. Just then a thunderous sound explode in the sky as two colourful military jets flew above them and a trail of monochrome jets followed suit. The humans forced their way outside of Bee and flew off.
Back in the air, Jon and Daisy observe the ground beneath them. They saw that the Autobots were ambushed and started to improvise a plan.
First, drop off Inteleon, Lucario, and Lycanroc by nearby trees. Have Lycanroc go on the other side of the woods without being spotted. Second, when Inteleon cast Rain Dance Corviknight will fly down close allowing Boltund to use Thunderbolt on the nearest Mechs. Daisy and Boltund will jump from Corviknight signalling the other pokemon to create Stone Edge.
"Thunderbolt!" Daisy yelled.
Flashes of light emerge from Boltund's body striking two drones in the process. The Autobots look up towards her and Jazz's first intent was to catch his charge and her friend.
Just as Jazz caught them Lucario and Lycanroc dashed out from both sides of the woods and used Stone Edge, creating giant pillars for the bots to use as cover. The Autobots took the opportunity to hide behind the rocks, while the heavy shooting still remained.
Jon withdraws from the battle scene in order to catch up with Bumblebee.
"Are ya crazy?!" Jazz yelled over the sound of plasma fire, still holding the girl in his hand.
Daisy had her ears covered, the noise was too much for her to handle but she had to pull through. "I was worried! They were heading in your direction!"
"Comin' here was a mistake! Yer gonna get you and yer pokemon killed!"
"Wouldn't be the first time!"
Jazz looked at her incredulously, she really is reckless but non the less brought support to keep them stable. Jazz looked around him and notice the twins firing back that the enemy and the pokemon waiting for their next command. This time Sideswipe spoke up, "How on Cybertron did you manage to make it rain?!"
Everyone was soaking wet from the heavy rain, though it wouldn't last long, "You can thank Raindrop for that!" Pointing with her free hand. They followed her hand to a tree where Inteleon became visible before vanishing again.
Skywarp watch as the scene unfolds, the Autobot's human pets came to rescue them but didn't bother to bring proper backup. Rainwater presses against his armour, Skywarp watching each of the drones go down one by one. The humans had pets like no other yet somehow manage to withstand the intensity coming from those creatures.
The battle is a lost cause, the mech comm Thundercracker over the chaos to take the Energon and leave. They got what they came for.
Bumblebee and Jon arrived at the scene but stayed at the very back.
Skywarp and Thundercracker couldn't take all the Energon, so as a last resort he release missiles and target it towards the bots.
"Have fun in the Allspark Autobrats!"
"Get 'em out of here!" Jazz yelled demanding to get the humans and their pokemon out of range.
The missiles were approaching like a Talonflame using Brave Bird, if they try to leave now it wouldn't be enough so the safest bet is to hide behind the pillars. "Cover your ears and look away! get down on the ground!" Sunstreaker commanded the humans and 'mons. They did as told.
When the missiles hit a blast of shockwave swam through the air. The bots use themselves as metal shields to protect them from oncoming mud. When it was over everyone looked around, lucky for them the Energon and Station were still somewhat intact.
Bumblebee spoke, "Is everyone okay?"
"My ears are ringing," Jon whimpered.
Jazz looked in his hand to see Daisy clinging onto Vaporeon, "Dais' you alright?" He can feel the girl shaking.
"Y-yeah, just the ringing is very loud..."
"Ya shouldn't have come here," the saboteur said gently this time. No humans... or pokemon should be involved in their war yet somehow they always do.
Jazz holds the girl close to his chest walking towards Bumblebee, the twins on the other hand went to collect the leftover Energon.
"Bumblebee, I gave you orders to brin' the humans to the Ark."
"I did! They flew off on their own!"
Jazz optics gazed down at Jon, "Are yer ears ringin'?"
The boy nod his head, he too was shaking in fear from the event.
"Ratchet is gonna have our heads!" Bumblebee nervously said.
"No kiddin', Prowl will have mine," He vented, "Let's get the humans back to base, I'm takin' Daisy with me so I'll be right behind you."
Bee nodded, "And one last thing, about earlier Daisy and Jon, gave me their tale of events that happened. I'll tell you and the twins later."
Jazz watched as the mech drove off 'I was goin' to ask Daisy 'bout the whole Ultra Megatrpolis/ fallers thin'... but it'll be best if I search it on my own time' he thought.
The siblings and their pokemon sat on the med table. They had parts of the clothes off to dry while they wore a towel around them to keep them warm. Ratchet was shouting angrily at their guardians moments prior. The CMO came back to check on them.
On their way back, the two humans were very quiet not even their pokemon would bark a sound. They either had their head tucked in their knees or were staring at the floor. The humans flinch when giant echoes filled the room. This didn't go unnoticed by Ratchet.
"Optimus, please watch your step," The medic said softly.
"How are they?"
Ratchet makes a quick glance at the humans before facing Optimus again.
"They will live, no significant damage. The ringing in their ears has stopped; although, I worry they might develop PTSD."
The Prime nodded and walked over to the humans. "I'm sorry you had to go through this. My team members should've kept you away.
The silence was loud, if a pen dropped it would be enough to hear it echo.
"Please don't blame them," the young boy spoke up. His body was still trembling from the experience.
"No, they should've done better in keeping you safe."
Jon looks down at the table floor once more not knowing what to say.
"It was my fault," the girl said in a whisper not bothering to face the Prime. "I put my team and my brother in danger because I was worried about Jazz and the twins." she continues, "I... just jump into situations that I know I shouldn't... I don't know... What if something bad happens if I don't intervene?"
A memory pops into her head, trying to help Mewtwo escape her captives. The girl tightened her grip around her legs while Vaporeon lay right beside her.
Both Ratchet and Optimus stared down at the girl. The Prime lift his arm and place a digit on her back. She finally looks up at him with puffy red eyes.
"I am thankful for your honesty, just remember to never go in alone without backup."
They both look at him, "huh?"
He chuckles to lighten the mood, "Bumblebee gave me his report on the situation. You, your team, Jon and his team are very brave. You've thought up a plan on the spot and for that, I am grateful for."
"So you're not mad?" Jon asked.
"no"
The humans and pokemon let out a heavy sigh that they didn't know they had.
Ratchet cleared his throat, "You guys are still under watch until your mental health is stable. That means you won't be going anywhere for the time being."
The kids smile understanding the Mech.
Daisy stand up from where she was sitting, "What's gonna happen to Jazz and Bee? Will they no longer be our guardians?"
Ratchet softly smile, "Do you wish to see them?"
"Yes!" They said in unison.
It was later in the evening that the humans and pokemon finished eating. It seems that they will be staying at the Ark for some time until Ratchet gives them the clearing. Bumblebee told Jazz and the twins about said event that happened to their human and pokemon friends four weeks ago.
They decided on keeping it a secret knowing the kids won't like anyone just knowing it.
It's already been a second day on this Earth yet, already so much happened. The Autobots will have so much to learn about this new world and how it works. Hoping to keep the peace that already exists.
Jazz, Bumblebee and their human and pokemon companions gazed under the night sky by the cave entrance.
"Are you sure no one will see us out here?" Bee asked.
"I'm sure," Daisy winked at her brother. He grins knowing for sure about his sister's ability.
"Don't worry about it, Bee!" Jon reassured.
They all watched the night sky as shooting stars passed by.
