Chapter 5 - Recovery

Red optics flick on as the warlord holds his helm in his hand, his processor spinning. The last thing he remembers was the machine spitting a strange purple and red light, engulfing the planet. Megatron clench his fist, the machine failed, and all plans he had to history the Autobots and Earth, failed. If he survived there is a possibility that those Autobots did too. He slammed his fist into the ground, any plan he had to get rid of his enemies washed down the drain.

"Lord Megatron." the warlord heard a familiar voice behind him.

The warlord stands up on his feet looking at his surroundings first. He was inside the Nemesis. The air felt dry and there were dust particles which would make it hard for a human to breathe in. He eventually turned around.

"Ah, Soundwave, damage report."

The Communication officer spoke in what sounded like autotune, "Damage: None. Statement: Power offline, need refuelling."

'What?!' He shouted mentally, keeping his expression calm. The ship was already filled moments ago, how on Cybertron did it suddenly lose power?

"Lord Megatron"

Soundwave snap him out of his thoughts, "What is it Soundwave?"

"Location: Unknown"

"What do you mean by that?" He asked unsettled by this new information but kept stern.

Soundwave guided Megatron outside and on the deck of the ship. Around them were miles of sand beyond the horizon and at the edge of the warship circled an oasis. The blazing sun press against their armour.

"This sucks, where the frag are we?"

The warlord heard new voices on the opposite side of him. He glances over and spots the seekers talking among themselves. Ignoring them, he continues looking out into the sea of sand. Creatures he has never seen before claim these parts. There was one that look like one of Earth's semi-aquatic mammals - The hippopotamus.

Could this really be the desert they were in a while ago or is this something completely different? What if the machine transferred them across the galaxies? That would mean there's a possibility the Autobots are here too.

The deeper Megatron went into the hallways the darker it gets. Soundwave was walking right behind the warlord as they enter Shockwave's lab. The mad scientist stopped what he was doing and turned around to face Megatron.

"Lord Megatron, I presumed you are here to know about our current situation?"

"That would be correct Shockwave."

Shockwave gave Megatron a silent look before speaking, "I'm afraid I do not know much, for all I can get is that something or someone tempered the space-time machine while it was activating. Its original purpose was to transport the Earth to a different plane of existence, but now, I'm afraid we got ourselves transported into a different reality instead.

"I have done some local scanning around the nearby area. From what I come observed, these organics possessed some sort of elemental power. Megatron, if I may, I can perhaps use them for our cause."

"Perhaps," Megatron said lingering on the thought.

Shockwave continues, "Unfortunately, with the Nemesis out of power I am unable to do so."

"Do not fret, I will order the Seekers to scout the area in hopes of finding Energon or energy," Megatron said walking away to the door entrance. "In the meantime," He looks over at Soundwave, "Have one of your symbiotes capture one of these creatures. Have Shockwave experiment on them, see what they can do."

"Understood. Frenzy, eject. Operation: Capture organic."

"Sure thing boss," the blue mini-con did a quick salute before running off.

Frenzy walked through the desert trying to find an interesting pokemon to bring back to the Nemesis. Some 'mons were interesting and some were not. There was one that looked like a giant snake made out of rocks, another was a mole-like thing that somehow moved the ground with it... huh?!

"Where the heck are we anyway!?" The mini-con screamed.

He looks up at the sky in defeat, "Primus help me, I just need to catch one of these fragging creatures..."

A few seconds went by when he felt something underneath his foot. He lifts up his foot only to be caught in a staring contest with a... baby... crocodile? A baby crocodile, in the desert? The heat must be playing with his optics 'cause the last thing he remember is that those things lived near water and there was no water around.

When the mini-con relax, he tried to pick up the croc only for the thing to throw sand at him.

"Ahh, why you little thing! Now I have sand all up in my joints! eww..."

Before the croc could get away Frenzy quickly grabs it making it yelp.

"Gotcha!" Grinning to himself.

The sun began to fall over the desert as stars made their way across the sky. Frenzy finally reaches the Nemesis after dealing with the croc that almost escapes him a couple of times. Before entering the warship he gazes up into the sky, it was foreign to him. Any consolations he recognizes during his time on Earth were no longer there. "We really are in a different part of the universe, huh."

He steps inside the ship.

Hallways after Hallways he arrived at Shockwave's lab.

The door hissed open revealing the mad scientist patching up his workspace. Frenzy didn't have to bark a sound, Shockwave already knew he was waiting for him. The mech made his way across the room grabbing a small glass cylinder tube then proceed towards the mini-con.

Shockwave lowered the tube so Frenzy could place the critter in it. Shockwave raises the tube to his optic to have a better looked at his newfound specimen. The poor thing was quivering under his presence.

"You've brought back a small reptile Frenzy," he said in a monotone voice.

"Eh, it was the only thin' I could find." The mini-con shrug.

Shockwave scrutinize the croc, its frame was tiny. It had honey-brown scales with black strips across its body. The black shades around its eyes made it looked it was wearing a masked. Though his study was cut short when Frenzy cleared his 'troat'.

"Have the Seekers come back yet?"

He got an emotionless reply, "No."

Venting out a sigh, Frenzy walked out of the lab leaving Shockwave alone with his newfound experiment.

The following day, afternoon...

Skywarp and Thundercracker flew off in the air with a fraction of the Energon they'd collected. As they flew off, a loud explosion could be heard in the background.

"Think that will finished them?" Thundercracker asked.

Skywarp replied, "Giving the circumstances, possible not."

They continue to fly in the air until Starscream joins up with them, "What took you fools so long?" The Seeker asked annoyed.

Skywarp "Autobots."

Starscream acknowledged, "So there here too?"

Skywarp continued, "Not just that, they've already aligned themselves with humans."

"Replacing the ones they already lost. Megatron is going to find this interesting." Starscream sneered.

The Nemesis power came back online when the Seekers arrived. Megatron queries Skywarp and Thundercracker as to why they brought back less Energon than Starscream. They've reported that Autobots have humans backup. The warlord became furious as to how they lost to a bunch of low life.

Thundercracker explained that the humans had strange pets with them that hold some sort of elemental power.

Megatron step back in his thoughts and began to smile. He dismiss the Seekers and headed to Shockwave's Laboratory.

The door hissed open.

There were already pop-up screens of the croc from variant human studies.

"Any updates on the organic Shockwave?"

The mad scientist turns around facing him, "Yes my lord." He turns back around as Megatron walks closer to the screen. The warlord smirk, with this newfound information he now wonders how much power can he gain from these so call 'Pokemon'.

Sandile, the desert Croc Pokemon, ground and dark submerges itself in sand and moves as if swimming. This wise behavior keeps its enemies from finding it and maintains its temperature.

As The Journey Continues...

A/N: yes, this chapter is short. I'm not sure how people are able to write long chapters. If the chapter is too long for me, I start skimming through it. It might just be a me thing
