Hello welcome to another chapter and side project right now another SAO story about Kazuto time traveling back in time to stop as many deaths as possible… enjoy.

There was a flash of blue as 3 figures appered in the teleport plaza on floor 5.
Argo's legs collapsed as Dan followed suit
"Cutting it rather close eh?" Asuna said walking up to them and healing them. Before headeing over yo Kirito to embrace him in a kiss which he reciprocated
Argo blinked as they pulled away and Asuna whispered something into Kirito's ear making him blush.
He coughed to destract himself from the minx of a fiancée and addressed Argo and Dan.
"Come on let's get back to base then we can talk." Kirito said
They arrived at the apartment and entered
Dan was surprised to see how large it was inside
As in fact it was decked out with a massive war table for what Dan didn't know but it was indeed intimidating.
"Argo, Do you have the data?" Kirito asked
Argo nodded and handed it to Him who handed it to Asuna
"I'll store it away." She said before she headed up the stairs
Argo noticed the others quickly vacationing as well.
Kirito sat at the table "sit down you two." He said
They did so and Kirito looked at them
"Tell me exactly what happened." He said
They did and by the end Kirito nodded
"Sorry for letting the bastard escape."
"It's ok Argo. What matters is that your alive." Kirito said
"Sir I need to ask what is the plan going forward?" Dan asked
Kirito looked at Dan "what do you mean?"
"I mean is there a specific guild your going to give the plans to? I'm not sure exactly what you plan to do with the laughing coffin plans. Unless your going to try to sell them to The Crusaders." Dan said
While he said that he noticed Asuna re enter and stand by Kiritos side.
Along with several others.
Kirito blinked
"You really have no idea where you are do you?" Kirito said
Dan blinked confused
"Look around you see if you notice anything?" Kirito said
Dan did so and realized he recognized a few faces
Legendary clearers like Klein, Agil, Orlando,
It was then that it clicked
"Oh." He said
Kirito smiled "indeed. Welcome to The Crusaders." Kirito introduced as the group stepped out.
Klein smiled at Argo "I see you brought a new field agent." He said
Kirito looked at Klein "that is if he passes." He said
Klein deflated and looked to kirito
"Come on, man that harsh." He said
"No it's keeping everyone safe." Kirito argued "speaking of which would you follow me." He said looking to Dan
Dan nodded as Kirito looked at Asuna "I don't trust him." He said
Asuna nodded "I'll find someone to keep an eye on him." She said
Kirito nodded as he led Dan into the inspection room.
A few minutes later they came back
"He's clear." He said
Everyone sighed
"Well even I could have told you that." Argo said
Asuna looked at Argo but didn't say anything as they started to do there own things.
"Klein how goes Leveling?" Asuna asked
"Good and the floor boss is coming up soon."
"Alright then it won't be a while until laughing coffin will be able to move all there bases so we have time. Until then everyone focus on leveling to face the boss. After that we hit L.C. hard." Kirito said
"Well have the rest of the night off, everyone." Asuna announced.
"Asuna can I speak to you for a minute?" Kirito asked
Asuna nodded "I'll be starting dinner once we're finished."
"Ok Asuna!" Klein waved
"Have fun you two!" Lisbeth teased
Agil just gave him a happy grin.
If Kirito didn't know better it was as if everyone was back…Almost.
The ones who were not here were enough to make it so Kirito wouldn't get too complacent.
'Soon they will join us.' He thought as he lead Asuna to the back room where the mission Board was.
Asuna heard the click of the door locking them in
Asuna turned around "wow I didn't expect I'd get you this hot and bothered." Asuna teased.
However her expression turned serious as she noticed that he wasn't smiling
"What's up Kazuto?" Asuna asked
"While I was inspecting Dan he told me something that bothered me."
"Oh what?" Asuna asked
"Someone unexpected was there as well. Someone unplanned for."
"Argo didn't say anything about that."
"Argo didn't encounter them." Kirito said
"Who was it? what's so important about that?" Asuna asked
"Because PoH was at the facility and made contact with Dan." He explained
Asuna gasped
"Shit." She hissed "do you think he's compromised?"
"I'm not sure. He told me he met him and that in private he wanted asylum."
"Do you think he might have threatened him as a spy?"
Kirito shrugged "I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised, it's not like we haven't been quiet about our war against Laughing coffin."
Asuna nodded
"I'm going to put him on the board to keep an eye on him."
"Wait." Asuna said
Kirito paused
"What?" He asked her
"You didn't see it but I did. I think…Argo's got a thing for Dan." She said
Kirito sighed "if she stumbled across the room and saw his face up there, who knows what she might do, or she might even bring him into the room herself." He said
"And we can't go around walking on eggshells around Dan that would be too obvious as well."
Kirito huffed and looked out the window
"They caught us with our pants down." He said
Asuna nodded
"So what's the plan?" She asked
"Only us will know the possibility of Dan being a spy, I doubt that Coffin would have been able to know we are checking for tattoos, but remember infiltrator's normally are blackmailed into service." Kirito said
"What do you think they threatened him with?" Asuna asked
"Again I don't know." He said
"So the plan?" Asuna asked
"Stay the course." He said
After the field boss I'm going to look for Nautilus and Yuna."
"You want them to join?" Asuna asked
"I wish to protect them. I will not allow the Ordinal scale incident to happen again, not if I can help it."
"You might not have a choice." Asuna said
"True and while AR tech did bring Yui closer to the real world I will not risk you to do so." He said
"Kazuto…" Asuna said
"Do you have any idea how hard it was for me? For Yui?"
Asuna blinked they discussed it but Asuna's could sense he was hiding something from back then.
"I know you love me like no one else and no one else will ever take you away from me. But most of that was from our experience here." Kirito said
Asuna gasped feeling guilty.
"And with those memories gone… you thought i might find another?" She said
Kirito nodded "that's why I fought so hard back then, I didn't fight to free the other SAO players, I was selfish, I did it only to keep you with me." He said
He looked at Asuna, tears falling down his face.
"I will not lose you Asuna, I promise that." He said
Asuna nodded "I love you Kazuto."
"And I love you Asuna," Kirito said
The two embraced and kissed having the raw passion fly off their lips.
"We will continue this later once everyone is in bed." Asuna said
Kirito nodded
"So again Yuna?" Asuna said, pulling away.
"Yes I was wondering if you had any idea where she might be?"
Asuna thought
"I don't think I met her this early and I only met Elji when he was in The knights."
Kirito nodded "I think for now it would be good to send Argo out for them we can do that tomorrow? After all she needs to keep up her image as a respectable Infobroker
"Even if she will no longer be affiliated with MMO today?" Asuna said
"She can freelance with them, that's not for a while I hope that Laughing coffin will be dismantled by then?"
"Like what?" Asuna asked
"I'm hoping before the death of Griselda," Kirito said
Asuna nodded before looking to the door
"I should start working on supper."
Kirito nodded "yeah I'm going to be in here for a while organizing and planning I'll be down in a bit." He said
Asuna nodded and left, leaving Kirito to work.
Eventually they had dinner ready and everyone sat down to have a great meal everyone enjoyed the rather 5 star meal Asuna prepared as they sat at the large table and fed each other
Kirito and Asuna smiled the fact that everyone had come together was amazing and was something that they would cherish in this new life.
As they all wound down Kirito and Asuna noticed Argo and dan were snuggling on the couch.
It was almost like a mirror of them which made the two time travelers smile.
The two left to there room to give the two there space.

In there room Asuna and Kirito Disabled the Morality filter and started stripping they didn't even get fully undressed before they locked lips and went to explore there bodies
Kirito gasped
"Oh god I love you Asuna," Kirito said
"Prove it then big boy." Asuna teased as she flipped on the bed pulling out off the rest of her clothes. Kirito fell ontop of her asuba gasped as the the digital weight pressed upon her
Kirito stroked her hair with a smile.
"You are beautiful my love."
"S-shut up and kiss me." Asuna said
Kirito did so letting all the pent up energy release and ebb off each other.
Kirito felt his hand wander and brush past Asuna's breasts making her mouth fly back and up in a moan.
Oh how he missed this this time together.
Oh how he'll do this right this time.
Downstairs unaware to everyone Argo was getting uncomfortable.
Dan was holding and comforting her. But that's all they were doing.
This wasn't her idea of what she expected.
But perhaps this is what it should be and she just had to slow down, she had been tensed up a lot lately.
Argo looked into the fireplace and found herself getting envious about Asuna's and Kiritos relationship more now…
Argo pulled away from Dan as he looked at her confused
"I'm gonna go to bed." She said
Dan nodded as Argo climbed the stairs
Back with Asuna She felt Kirito slid in and out of her cavity as her climax started to build.
"Oh oh please oh ohhh!" Asuna moaned.
Kirito was panting hard he felt his climax building as well he held it back until he couldn't anymore and with a mighty grunt both let out there screams as they came
Kirito slowly pulled out and looked into his lovers eyes as they laid on each other before drifting to sleep

The Next day Argo is in the dining room eating breakfast alone.
"Where's everyone else l?" Kirito asked
"Being proactive." Argo said
Kirito nodded "I see and Dan?" He asked
"He decided to sleep in." She shrugged
Kirito nodded "very well i have a job for you to do." Kirito said as he sat down next to her.
"I know your still keeping up as an info broker but I have to ask have you heard of a name called Yuna?"
Argo thought deeply "Yuna…name sound Familiar."
"She's a bard if that helps."
Argo snapped her fingers "yes it does! I remember I haven't seen her for a while." She said
"If you could I'd like to meet her." Kirito said
Argo got a teasing smile "oh looking to make Asuna a ballad huh?"
"Just… Argo can you find them?" Kirito asked
"Really want to impress her huh?" She asked
"I love her." Kirito said with conviction.
Argo sighed "fine I'll see what I can do." She said getting up
"Thank you Argo." Kirito said
As Argo left Kirito stood up he wanted to gain a few levels before the boss fight and Asuna was trying to find a good weapon that would be
Ironically Asuna like Kirito had her skills from after SAO and even much of her inventory.
However, there was no Lambent light, which was sad even if it was too soon to be using it.
As such Asuna was tasking Lizbeth to crank out swords to boost her skills as fast as possible.
It also helped that anything she didn't like they would just sell.
Slightly underhanded but they were focused.
Kirito in the meantime wanted to get his reaction time up so whenever the duel blades skill did drop he would get it.
He wasn't going to slack off.
As Kirito Left he was unaware of Dan coming down the stairs.
Kirito Exited the building looking around from the information that Argo brought him there was in fact a Laughing coffin base inside the town
The catacombs to be exact.
He had help from Emily but he was able to locate the entrance outside the city and dove in.
Kirito slid into a nice large cave which had a few wooden supports beams the other thing he could was a row of lanterns leading him forward
He arrived at the end and found an empty space suitable for a small group or a safehouse
There was no question this use to be a laughing coffin safehouse.
Was
It was clearly abandoned now
Still after doing a clean search to make sure there was nothing of use.
There wasn't
Only a cryptic letter from PoH in the form of a taunt.
The rest of the ones on this floor came up much the same way.
it was so bad that Kirito was on the edge that night.
Which caused his nightmare to be full of the exact same thing.

Kirito stood in an open field bright sun in the sky.
Across the way stood a boy young and cheerful with short blond hair.
Eugeo, said boy turned around and smiled at Kirito
Kirito's deep recesses of his mind he reminded his adventurers in the Soul Tranfer machine with Alice
Then He remembered the adventures that made then cross into the dark territory before Alice was kidnapped
Kirito remembered the three firends inseparable
Kirito kept seeing flashes of Eugeo final moments
Kirito remember when Eugeo changed into the sword which Kirito used to defeat Quillia.
Kirito remember seeing Eugeo working to cut down the tree for the longest time
The they were sitting in there cells trying to rescue Alice.
"Kirito?" He heard Eugeo's voice
Kirito looked behind him to see the sillioute of Eugeo
Before fading…
Kirito sat down trying his hardest to remember everything he forgot…the good and bad…
Kirito took a deep breath and vowed to save him this time.
Kirito didn't understand how but slowly more memories came back to him
Alice as an integral knight
Quinella and her weird nature.
Asuna diving in after him to save him from his inner nightmare and being trapped for 200 years.
Kirito took a smile until the place shifted to the dojo
He and Sugu were before there grandpa training at kendo.
He was strick harsh and brutal to the training
Even more so to him than to Sugu.
Kirito didn't know at the time why but now he did.
He took to kendo like water.
Still as a child Kazuto remembered hating it even if he was good
He remembered being pulled aside and forced to spar
Kirito never relized it but the kendo was good for him and he enjoyed it.
Still too late now to change it he was dead in this time
Still Kirito isolated from his cousin. Still
Will she still blame him?
Kirito knows that she wouldn't but it couldn't make the uncertainty fade away.
He thinks about the reaction he'll get from the others when it's revealed there from the future and he worries it will be the same.
Like Klein
Like he was worried Asuna would have done.
Kirito sighed as he tried to calm himself down
He didn't even realize he missed his grandpa until now.
Kirito vowed to be better now this time. He would not fail his grandfather again.
There were several times here that his skills at kendo could've saved people,
After all that's the reason he was here to save people,
Taking out PoH and Laughing coffin, facing Kayaba it all came with one goal
Saving more people than last time.
Of course there was one person that drove him harder than anything
Asuna
Kirito felt his heart flutter when she came into his mind
How she showed him how much she loved him and how much he loved her.
He remembered the happiness night of his life the day of the meteor shower and gifting the promise ring to Asuna.
His mind drew back to Here to there goal
Yui.
Kirito remembered throwing everything he could at the project trying to bring Yui to live.
He remembered how many arguments over how the would get it to work.
How after those arguments the makeup were very intense as they were on the road to try one final thing to bring Yui to life
His flashed back to fateful day where Asuna was looking in the back seat to see if they had the Nervegear. Before the crash.
Kirito shook his head away that was in the past Asuna was here
He had another chance to make it right.
He had another chance to bring her to life.
But first he had to get Himelf Asuna and the others out of this game
He had to save the 300 players trapped by Sugou.
He had to stop deathgun from wrecking havoc
He had to stop laughing coffin
He would get his ending he deserved
He would marry Asuna
Sugou would get his due,
Yui would be reborn
They would have the family he deserved to have.
His mind flashed back to the car crash
Asuna's limp body over the dashboard
Blood everywhere
As he looked at her stone cold eyes
Dead.

Kirito sprang up "ARGH!"
Asuna was with him in a second
"Kirito." Asuna asked
Kirito looked around "what happened?"
Kirito calmed his nerves and started to explain the nightmare he just had.
Asuna comforted him as they rocked in bed before falling asleep in each others arms
(A week later)
After a week of searching Argo still was unable to track her down the field boss was eliminated thanks to Kirito and the Crusaders help with the boss.
The week was entirely busy as Dan now was a field agent like Argo striking against Laughing coffin. As well as other recruits like a girl named Angel, who used a spear Richard who used a bastard sword and Fenfifh who used a Sword Shield combo,
Fuurinkazan,The legend Braves and Agil's Guilds were making dividends,
They almost made it 3/4th of the way to afford the guild hall and the front line guilds were strong enough to go toe to toe with Kirito to a standstill,
However despite the progress Kirito was getting more and more stressed out as he had made no progress with laughing coffin.
It didn't help that he was going out attacking the strongholds solo.
He was getting more and more frustrated as another stronghold came up abandoned.
He had decided that there was a mole in there ranks the problem was there were too many people that it could possibly be that had him worried.
Kirito stomped around the room Asuna sitting in the chair watching him pace
"I don't get it, it's feasibly impossible how would PoH know exactly what bases I'd hit and when."
"Well they have a lot more help this time around it could be they did a mass migration."
Kirito shook his head "no…it was too chaotic for that besides there was…other clues as well."
Asuna rose an eyebrow "are you saying PoH has been leaving notes?"
Kirito nodded
"He's taunting me and it makes no sense." He huffed
He leined over a table and sighed before he received a message "Argo just responded she found Yuna." He said
"And Nautilus?"
"Seems to be with her." He said as he made his way to the door "I'm bringing them in under protection." He said
Asuna nodded as Kirito left.
Asuna watched him go and made some tea. Before she went off to do other things for the guild.
Kirito traveled to the 5th floor where Yuna was just spotted skipping town with a boy to head on a quest.
Kirito reasoned it was Nautilus so started to make a beeline to there location
By the time he got halfway to the next town Kirito could hear the faint sounds of fighting
Instincts screaming he charged ahead to locate the source.
He found a clearing with 7 plays in it two in the middle the other five around them hoods up
A girl and a boy. Nautilus and Yuna being attacked by laughing coffin.
Kirito noticed Yuna was on the ground panting hole nautilus was fighting more ferociously
It hit him just how much he cared for her.
'That could've been me…' He thought to himself then he paused and corrected himself
'No…it was me.' He relized
Nautilus was Kirito's life in a different skin
If Asuna had died here…what would I have done to get her back? To even talk to her…'
He didn't need the answer he knew.
He charged forward and lunged out of the brush while the Laughing coffin members were unaware
However Nautilus and Yuna were stunned
Especially when Kirito killed one assassin instantly severing his head
"Are you ok?" He asked the two
The assassins jumped back "w-what the!?"
"Shit scramble!" Another called
However Kirito impaled him in the back making him gasp and fall to the ground
"Oh no you see that's not how this works." Kirito said dripping into Blackswordsman mode.
The assassin seeing the situation he was in tried to reach behind him to get a teleport crystal while Kirito was cutting onto another Guildmate
Only for Kirito to appear and kick it out of his hand
"Oh I'm sorry did I say I was done with you yet?" He asked
Yuna and Nautilus looked around and noticed all the laughing coffin members were incompasitated
"Are you alright?" Kirito asked
Yuna nodded
"Yeah were fine." Nautilus said
His avatar was thin, had decaying leaf-coloured hair, light brown eyes he wore plain, brown, leather armour.
"Good did any of you get struck?" Kirito asked as he began stabbing the assassins killing them
"N-no I don't think so." Nautilus said
"Here, drink up. I have enough and I'd rather you be safe." He said
Kirito watched them drink and noticed immediately after they hit full health after a few seconds nautilus's HP started going down
'He was nicked.' Kirito said recognizing the poison however it also confused him 'the poison appears as a status effect yet I didn't see it and I doubt he did either.' Kirito though as he rummaged his inventory and made the antidote for the poison
"Here." Kirito said as nautilus had noticed his heath was decreasing.
He drank it and the effect stopped
"Alright it's probably best we get out of here they will come back." Kirito said
"Hold on who are you?" Yuna asked
"Names Kirito." He said
The others introduced themselves.
"Wanna share contact's Yuna asked
"Yeah sure." Kirito said as he sent a request to Yuna.
He was just about to dismiss the menu when he got a message.
From PoH.
Kirito looked around tensed
"K-Kirito what's wrong?" Yuna asked
After a few seconds he opened the message
And his heart stopped
"Oh dear fooling around with other girls I wonder what poor Asuna must think if she still can think.
Best check on her.
PoH.
Immediately red flags we're screaming in his ears
Without saying anything he walked over to the two and grabbed them with each arm
"Ah hey!" Yuna cried
"Teleport!" Kirito yelled.
When they arrived Kirito dropped them unceremoniously and took off
Yuna and Nautilus looked at each other and deciding to get to the bottom of it followed him.
Kirito sprinted as fast as the game could process his movement.
He reached the guildhall and kicked open the door
As expected no one was there
Kirito ran up the steps to Find Asuna
She was in there shaired room lying on the bed.
At half health.
Kirito gasped as he ran to her side
"Asuna!" He gasped
Asuna looked up drowsy at him
"K-Kirito…w-what happened? I was working on guild papers and I-"
It doesn't matter hold on I'll get you healed up." Kirito said as he looked to his inventory only to find he gave his last antadote to Nautilus. He sighed and headed off
"I'll be right back." He said as he left
As he moved about the guildhall finding the secret stash of antidotes grabbing one and heading back.
He arrived at her bedside
"Here drink." He said
Asuna did so
However all that did was make the status effect visible
"K-Kirito?!" Asuna gasped
Kirito was as pale as a sheet. As he stood up
"Hold on Asuna." He said as he ran out.
He went to check another cabinet that held hidden Antadote
This time he opened it
Tampered!
Someone had tampered with his antidotes.
Kirito let out an angry roar as he smashed the bottle on the ground
Kirito fell to his knees panting his mind running at 1000 mph
Then he got a message from PoH.
As you can see your antidotes are not working, I happen to have the last batch in my inventory.
I want you to come alone to the woods where you met Mr Black and I'll give it to you.
I await your arrival. Don't dally though.
PoH.
Kirito panicked his breathing was rampant and uncontrollable
The only thing that cut it off was the horse screaming of Asuna from the other room.
"Kirito?"
Kirito walked over
"Hey it's going to be alright." He said holding her hand
Asuna looked so tired yet her smile was still beatiful,
"It's coffin isn't it." She said
Kirito couldn't lie to her and nodded
"Someone spiked my tea." She said
Kirito sighed
"It's not your fault." He said
"What was his demands?" Asuna asked
"Met in a forest." Kirito said
Asuna nodded "we should get going." She said
However Kirito held her down
"No your staying here." He said
"What but-."
Kirito was firm "I'll deal with PoH I'm not gonna risk you getting hurt."
Asuna tried to argue but her body was showing how tired it was.
Kirito smiled
"Take a nap love by the time you get up I'll be back and the poison will be gone."
Asuna didn't want to give in but she could feel that she didn't have a choice
"Please. Please don't leave me." Asuna whimpered
Kirito smiled and held her hands tighter
"Never." He said
Asuna didn't hear as she was asleep.
Kirito hunched forward his bangs covering his eyes.
He stood up and walked out of the room
He walked down the steps and past Nautilus and Yuna who were there stunned that they were in the HQ of the Crusaders
However Kirito just barged past them and opened his menu to Argo
"Argo, I need you to find me Code black." He sent
Code black was a priority one code there were several Red, Blue, Grey, Black,
Red was for situations outside of the guild that people were in danger.
Code blue was the same but for someone in the guild.
Grey and Black were someone's life was on the line.
"A: meet me in the teleport plaza." Argo sent
Kirito walked out of the guild hall he had shit to do.
In the teleport plaza Argo was waiting in the alley
"Argo." Kirito said
"What is it Kiibou?" Argo asked
Kirito sighed "I need you to send Klein and Orlando a message I have a priority one task for them." He said
"Just them what happened?" Argo asked
Kirito sighed "I need them to gather Acoco leaves and Black mamba seeds."
Argo blinked
"What?"
"My stash has been nullified. I need more now." He said
Argo shook her head "we're busy why not have Asuna go and-."
"Asuna is not to leave the city!" He snapped
Argo stumbled "what-kirito are you saying?"
Kirito nodded "PoH has demanded an audience with me alone, I need you to give Asuna the antadote." Kirito said as he pulled out two Scrolls and handed it to Argo
"Here don't give them to anyone else but Klein and Orlando." He said
Argo tentatively took it
"There must be another way. What your going about is suicide." She argued
"I don't have a choice, it must be done, it will take too long for me to heal Asuna myself." Kirito said
Then take the legend Braves with you and use them as backup."
"If he spots them then he'll just flee." Kirito argied
"Your not thinking rationally we can do this but not like this."
"No Argo I'm going I need you to do what I say." He started to walk away.
Argo started bawling knowing that Kirito was going on what basically amounted to a suicide mission.
"Kirito please, What would Asuna think?" She asked
Argo watched as Kirito froze.
"…Argo." Kirito said after a long pause.
"We can figure something out Kirito we just need time-."
"Argo." Kirito said
"I can find some dirt on them to give you the advantage and-."
"Argo." Kirito said again louder but
"Kirito I don't think-
"Hosaka! please." Kirito pleaded getting her attention
Argo froze her eyes widened in shock her argument died on her lips
She looked up to see Kirito looked back at her tears rolling down his eyes.
"I'm counting on you Argo, please keep Asuna inside the city until she's safe." He said as he left.
Argo watched him leave unable to say anything her mind abuzz.
He knew her name.
Argo never told anyone about her real name ever in the game.
Somehow Kirito knew her name. That made him dangerous.
Argo looked up to see Kirito had gone.
Argo sighed and opened her menu finding the chat options for Klein and Orlando.
(Floor 6)
Kirito stepped out of the teleport gate of floor six and began walking not caring who he bumped into
He made his way to the forest road where they were ambushed by Johnny black so long ago.
Kirito looked around and noticed several foot prints leading off the path into the woods.
Kirito followed it and found himself in a clearing
He looked around and noticed several people were above him in the trees with one person standing in the middle of the clearing.
The man had his hood up smiling.
"PoH." Kirito said standing across from him
PoH started laughing harder "Welcome Kirito I'm glad you decided to join me." He said
"Enough Games PoH why are you here?" Kirito asked
"Oh that's not a way to treat an old friend is it?"
Kirito narrowed his eyes "we're not firends PoH your sick!" He argued drawing his sword from his back
PoH sighed "oh dear oh dear and here I thought we were going to be civil. It had been a long time since we last met, 200 years in fact!" He snarled throwing back his hood to reveal his cheek had a tree root growing through it.
Somehow This Vassago had come back from the future the same as him.
That made all of this easier
"Now I'm going to kill you." He said raising his fingers to order the attack
Kirito looked around unfearing "dismiss your goons first." He said
PoH paused "oh…and why would I do that?" He asked
"Because I know you. Do you honestly think that you'd ever just want me to die? No you wanna kill me yourself do you really think your goons are skilled enough to not accidentally kill me?"
There was a pause
Then a laugh
"He-heheheh-hahaha
HAHAHAHA!
PoH bent over backwards laughing like a madman before straight in up
"Very well." He clicked his fingers
And two Laughing coffin members fell out of the tree to stand beside there boss.
"Orders sir?" The one on the left asked
"Return to base." Vassago said
"Sir?" The other said
"That's your orders. He's mine and mine alone.
The other assassins looked to each other before heading deeper into the forest.
"Black! XaXa!" Kirito called them out making the two look back
"I'm coming for you next."
The two assassins scoffed and left
Kirito turned back to PoH now that they were alone.
"Before we start I have a few questions?"
"Regarding the mole?" Vassago asked
"If your willing to say go ahead." Kirito said
"Nah I'll let it eat away in you." He said
"How much does the syndicate know?" Kirito said
PoH scoffed dismissively as he fidgeted with Mate chopper
"Wouldn't you like to know." He said
Kirito didn't like that answer as Vassago laughed
"Face it buddy, your damned if you kill me and damned if you let me go…not that I'll let you!" He said
"Last question, how are you alive?" Kirito asked
This time PoH was honest as he shrugged
"Honestly I have no idea all I remember is that fight we had and you turning me into a damn tree. And then It just…faded white." He said
Kirito narrowed his eyes 'had the one who sent him back also send back Vassigo?'
He had no more time to ponder this or the repercussions of that either.
Kirito lowered his stance and raised his sword
PoH laughed
"Finally. ITS SHOWTIME!" He roared as he glug off his cloak
He lunged forward first with a maddening grin on his face.
Kirito knowing he couldn't overexert himself too soon just sidestepped to dodge. As he brought mate chopper down on his shoulder but missed
Kirito tried to repost but PoH spun around avoiding it. Before going into another swing activating a sword skill too
Kirito preformed a sonic leap to dodge the attack as he landed behind PoH.
PoH however was able to swing first
Kirito was just able to block it
"Yes yes this is the fight I live for!" PoH said
Kirito locked blades "your sick Vassago!" He argued as he pushed him away
"No no I'm not sick I'm mad!" He roared as he skidded to a stop and lunged again
The clashes were in the briefest of seconds as several hundred exchanges were dealt
Finally they locked swords again
"Heh even without that pesky second sword of your you are still formidable." He said as Kirito was pushing against the base he didn't notice one of PoH's hands drop away
That was until it was too late
"Gah!" Kirito gasped as he jumped away
His stomach was cut open and a status effect appeared on his HUD.
Kirito fell to his knees paralyzed
"Damn." He hissed as he fell down face first.
PoH started laughing
"Hahahaha that was fun Kirito. Very fun.
Originally I was going to let you go until you got that second sword of yours but you were so kind so I will be kind and kill you now."
Kirito narrowed his eyes glaring hatefully at PoH as he stepped forward.
"Goodby Kirito." PoH said as he raised mate chopper up.
Only to hear the crunch of a branch behind them
Kirito and PoH looked over
To see a lone figure approaching
Long brown hair.
"Asuna." Kirito muttered
PoH scoffed as he addressed the new the opponent

Kirito though about his failures how he was supposed to protect Asuna, how much he failed in that regard.
Kirito reached for an antidote Crystal and healed himself before pushing himself up to take a swing at PoH.
Caught off guard Vassago stumbled before he kicked Kirito away.
Kirito ended up rolling away stopping by Asuna's feet.
As they made eye contact Asuna bent down and helped Kirito up.
At the same time both Kirito and Asuna looked at Vassago promising pain and lots of it.
Then they broke out in full sprint to reach him
Halfway there it was only then that Asuna opened her inventory to drew her weapon.
Kirito knew she was too slow and moved to intercept PoH
However what he didn't expect was for Asuna to pull out Lambent Light. And do a draw attack cutting across PoH in a flash of iconic light and a cloud of dust
PoH stumbled back to refocus himself
However that's when Kirito struck from the cloud as his shadow appeared for the brief test second leaping through before he swung with all his might at Vassago.
With a sudden Grunt Vassigo lept back as Kirito dispelled the smoke
Vassigo watched as the two stayed crouched before each other
In sync they both stood up and took a deep breath
They snapped Their heads over to see Vassago where he was
Then they looked at each other making eye contact.
And with a nod they were gone.
Kiroto appered before Vassigo and lunged as PoH had to block it with Mate chopper
However Kirito didn't let up as he gave a blitz of moves
Vassago was starting to sneer his attacks weren't landing. He could go on a counter attack soon.
Suddenly a hard left hook slammed against his cheek sending him flying courtesy of Asuna
Kirito limped to stand next to Asuna who began using her as a support.
Kirito looked to Asuna who smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
It made him realize just how much he failed this woman in front of him.
Asuna turned back to PoH and stomped forward towards him.
Poh got in a stance ready to attack Asuna
Kirito narrowed his eyes and was about to lunge in however a glance from Asuna held him back
'Let me handle it love.' Her eyes said
Kirito sighed and nodded
Asuba went on the barrage striking out at Vassago whenever she could
Kirito had to admit he really really wished he had met her sooner
But he was here now
And No matter what Asuna's mother said he wasn't going to leave her.
Asuna struck her barrage ending it in a crouch before going for one more as her blade glowed Green as she closed distance
Kirito watched as the two moved in slow motion
Asuna had Lambent Light ready to attack screaming out a battle roar. How PoH was also grinning.
It took Kirito a moment to realize exactly why.
His poisoned knife
Kirito reacted instantly as he saw Asuna's face shift from one of righteous anger to one of terror.
Kirito felt his fingers slip around the back of her collar.
He felt the digital fabric around his fingers and started to pull
In slow motion Asuna's tragactory changed as she felt her body be yanked back as PoH Thrusted his deadly dagger at her
It missed.
Kirito however didn't as he stepped up and thrusted parrying the dagger and lunging himself
Kirito stepped on the dagger breaking it before socking PoH with cross guard
PoH stumbled as he looked to clear his daze.
That was a mistake as that's all Asuna needed to go on the offensive
Asuna thrusted At Vassago with Lambent light making the assassin grunt.
Kirito however wouldn't be left out.
Vassago jumped back away from Asuna only for that to be where Kirito was lunging
Vassigo parried and sent Kirito away only for Asuba to lunged at him again
Kirito landed on the ground and rolled before blasting off
Vassigo tried his damndest to get away from the attack however he was too slow
Both Asuna and Kirito laid there blades onto of each other as they cut at Vassigo sending him flying
The two landed beside each other and sheathed there swords. In sync

Vassago stood up cluching his shoulder
"F-fine fuck you and your pathetic whore! I'll kill you another time and the rest of your friends too." Vassasigo said as he teleported away.
Kirito and Asuna stood in the forest for a second
Then Kirito collapsed Asuna grabbed him.
"Thanks Asuna. I…thanks for the save." He said
"Of course. Love." Asuna said
