Romeo And Juliet Of Dragon City Chapter 12
Nafisa is going to kill Moordryd. I swear she's about this close to breaking up with him.
I mean come on. Nafisa is well aware he has an image to maintain, but does he have to nearly kill her brother to do it?
Both Nafisa and Artha take part in the next race side by side together for double of chances of acquiring points, brand new Level 5 Green Ramming Gear, 10,000 dracals.
One of them has to come out of this race victorious. The family needs the funds.
But the other races, especially Moordryd, aren't making it easy for them. Already experienced in this type of environment Nafisa is holding her own, but Artha is in trouble again.
In the beginning of the race with assistance from Parmon's modifications and some advice from Kitt things were going well. Artha even manages to release the dragon just as he did before, focusing Beau's energy enough to move towards the front of the pack. That is until an amazed Parmon unfortunately is stupid enough to distract him. Artha snaps out of the trance he was in from all that effort leaving others an opening to take him out.
Moordryd immediately contacts Cain getting him on the line. Orders are to set up a disruptor flash on the final turn of the course. Moordryd believes it is time that Artha Penn gets a big lesson on the hazards of dragon racing much to his delight. To seal the deal even more Moordryd unleashes a drag box on Artha to damage his gear beyond repair more than it already has been. In truth the ploy nearly would've succeeded if Beau didn't mag the little buggers off. Moordryd then resorts to an energy drain whip that slowly drains Beau's energy. Moordryd, also, uses the whip to lure Artha and Beau closer and closer in proximity to the disruptor flash.
Instead Artha turns the tables causing Moordryd to be caught in the crossfire. Moordryd ends up out of the race and ends up landing in a deplorable dumpster.
In the long run Nafisa ends up winning the race, money, and the gear. Artha still at the rear of the pack.
Artha is making improvements, but not fast enough. Something has to change and soon. Being the Dragon Booster just isn't enough. Normally in the face of adversity people learn and grow with a solid head on their shoulders.
Much to her displeasure, that's so far not the case with Artha.
But there might be much more pressing matters to work against.
As Nafisa hangs back at the track while Artha, Parmon, and Lance return to Penn Stables to get their late fathers gear she is approached by Kitt who carries oblique news.
Artha's performance on the track is about to make him a target of a Down City Crews ire.
Moordryd's Dragon Eye Crew to be exact.
Moordryd is in so much trouble once she gets her hands on him.

Right now during this epidemic with the coronavirus that's impacting every nation in the entire world we really do need find whatever sources we possibly can in order to lighten our spirits. Especially those who are unfortunately stuck sick or those locked in self isolation in order to prevent both contraction and spread of the illness. For those of us who have the abilities to do this we have a duty to keep up morale and that's exactly what I wholeheartedly desire these new stories and updates concocted during this time do for you.

As many of you are already aware I was a patron at New York Comic Con 2019. It really is so exciting there and was an opportunity of a lifetime so there's no way in hell that I was going to waste a single second of it. No one ever should with something like this. Ever! ;D Unfortunately New York Comic Con 2020 was canceled because of the coronavirus so no one really got to enjoy any of the potential festivities this year in the chaos.
For future preferences I highly recommend that you all keep an eye out for when tickets for New York Comic Con are available for purchase again for next year. This is a huge event and you should jump on it whenever you have the chance. Unfortunately this year it appears like Comic Con might be skipped not just in New York, but also in all it's regular places during the course of scheduled events. I think we all know the reason for it is plain as day.
The coronavirus.
Can't exactly blame with how dreadful things are getting in escalation and the fact that places like the Javits Center in New York have been temporarily converted into makeshift hospitals in order to deal with the overflow of people contracting infections from this rapidly spreading virus that might as well be called a plague at this point. Let's keep fingers crossed that an aim is to have this pass us before then so things can get back on track. If it is then New York Comic Con might be exactly what people need in order to lighten their spirits after all this darkness. Stay safe everyone and long to eventually see you there.
