D3: The Mighty Ducks Re-Imagined
Warnings: For this chapter we get a said single scene in training, before the term starts, as they quickly bond to Orion. And then Orion gets said phone call from Casey's twin brother on Peter and Karp. And what they did this time to get put under his supervision at the school. This is going to be a re-imagining of D3: the Mighty Ducks as Charlie meets Orion at the start of the summer, as their lives are fused together.
As they prepare for what their future brings now, and as Charlie learns the truth that their new coach is friend of their current's. And with it, that Orion is his real father and he has a life outside of the team. This is also going to leave out the tv show, so an alternate reality story. But the other clip to this is going to show a few situations of Orion's coming into the picture, just before Charlie chose him as their back up coach.

Chapter 2: The First Day Of Training And First Confrontations
"With us seeing you flying around the city in skating practice here, we know that all too well, however you 5, I saw that you 5. And I agree with him right now, but never knew that people, so with that in mind here, so why the embarrassment. If your team ended up in the wrong spot, are the 6 of you ducks or not here?" A coach said firmly and the quintet flinched at that. "He makes a good point in calling you out for it, in my office." Buckley said to them sternly then.
"If you get embarrassed along with the rest of the school, said are the preppies, then no, you're not a true Duck." Jared said and they swallowed hard. "Kenny, I suggest you watch your words carefully, if Dean has a business trip that same two months. During our adjustment period, I'm in charge here, but can the preppie like attitude. And because you were once a figure skater, that doesn't make you better than the rest of us." Russ said to him sternly and he nodded.
And quickly then. "Like them, I'm a city kid, Richfield, is like the area of L.A. I live in, this is home when I'm in boarding school, but I'm a true Duck. And after Charlie inducted me into the team, before I proved myself during his scouting now. Let me guess you're all from Sally's side of the city in San Fransisco, Bangor, Dallas, Miami or Chicago. Not me, I'm from the district like Richfield, I earned this?" he asked and the quintet all paled, realizing they sounded like snobs.
"Thank you, there's the point, we didn't have much, but what we did, we offered to help out, and our District proved it. We changed, but if you're all acting like Adam, before he changed and became one of us over night, then no, you're not a true Duck. Though Russel is, and with that, I suggest you check the attitude at the door, like Phil. I live on the edge of the lake, but I see it as a fresh beginning, but that attitude I do not tolerate." their Coach said and they nodded quickly.
"Not them, Dean, Coach, not them, I'm from L.A. and embraced this whole heartedly, the quintet are still in the adjustment period, after Charlie made me an an honorary Duck. But they immediately took the word of a tanked up hothead, before Charlie froze things. In the oncoming punishment and I immediately sided with Charlie and the 7, so I am a true Duck. Charlie's my best friend, so following my alpha, he has his father, he'll be fine, but he's my leader here."
"Like the 10, I follow only him now, when I'm living here right now." he said and Buckley nodded to him. "Yeah I remember Charlie got off the phone with me, telling me he recruited you after you parked yourself right behind the team box. And soon you decided to help him with acting like your adult doubles and a true pro team." Their Coach said and he nodded. "I know but the quintet were still bent out of shape, before Charlie said it was a test." he said and they nodded.
"Test?!" Kenny Wu said and Charlie nodded sternly. "Yeah we had that fight already over Adam, and before I realized it finally, he only joined the Hawks. And to help pay for his sister's medical bills, his brother was working over time on the candy sales here at the school. So he could bring in enough, and to quote Diane now, wouldn't we, as District 5, help a District 6. Especially if we thought we could, District 6: the Socs, District 5: the Greasers." he said and they all paled then.
"That attitude after you actually cover your faces, if we crash the opening ceremony says you're a Soc, rather then a Greaser, you sold out, to get in with the preppies." he said and the quintet swallowed hard at that. "Russ is our only equal, tough life, his father is hard working, trying to earn enough to put food on the table. We're not preppies, we're city kids, bordering on low income families, so can the attitude here, but follow the troublemaker you get boxed now."
"Follow me, you stay out of trouble, remember that." he said and the quintet swallowed hard at that. "Then why would you tell Connie to stay with Guy on look out?" he asked and Adam swung his head at that. "She's my younger sister, though we're 6 weeks apart, I'm Jason, she's Kimberly, I never left her side, and making sure these losers never attack her. I keep her with Guy, so he can protect her, till I get back to her now." he said and Dean Portman swallowed.
"The 8 of us, Terry and the Duncans, we're city born Ducks, that's us, when we travel together, we never been separated in our lives the last 4 years. Till the Goodwill Games and when we have that, suddenly we have the same fight just in a new variation. But you guys are jealous at the way we act together, but each of you is a loner, from a different city. We're all from a team, a single team here right now, but you insulting his honor, crossed a line." he said sternly to this.
"Raised in a flock for 4 years, sure carrying new colors, but dad never broke us up, it's time to let go of the past and move on right now. But thing of it is, when all is said and done, at the end of the day, we're these guys, a flock for life. We travel together, go to school together, being room mates for a few weeks, that fused the link shut. But you guys are new to this life style, but Russ understands, as for Bombay and I'm being honest, have you ever watched our first."
"In movies before you came into the picture, the fight in the locker room, when Peter sold the others that lie?" he asked and they shook their heads. "Well Bombay used to be a Hawk, he was Adam's number, but he messed up a penalty shot. And it stuck with him all his life, creating a lie saying he thought we were losers, when he really meant the Hawks. This resulted, after the duo insult his and my mother's honor now, it put us in detention." he said sternly and they paled.
"Listen to the way Jesse phrased it at the time, the 8 of us were getting worried, the 8 of us ran a test here, when Fulton alerted the 7 of us to that fact. I realized this was a test right now, before he saw the busted stool, before the punchline. In truth got you in so much trouble, we nearly end up in night practice for 2 weeks, so way to go. But this won't be that, not anymore dad is beyond firm, you agree with the troublemaker, you're benched, so be a team player."
"Follow the true captain we stay together, through thick or thin, follow the troublemaker you get cut and are banned from practice till you wise up." he said and they paled at that. "My father is a skilled coach of 5 years, he's also a teacher, but he's exactly the coach we needed. So just say he had been A.C., he gives that ultimatum now, control the attitude right now. Or you don't play, in the case of the duo, that's either you take off the old jerseys right now or you don't play."
"Peter walks out that door, and he says it, he's been ejected from the team till he stops throwing a temper tantrum and starts acting his age again. Anyone follows him same thing, but despite the tough demeanor, he's a great teacher, great mentor. The 10 and I love him, love Bombay, we'll follow them right into the flames if they asked us too. But it's a hard image to live up to, your players, your subordinates, they all adore you, they'd do whatever you asked them to do."
"Even following them right into the flames, or right over a cliff, that's why the 10, or 11, with Russ joining in, will only listen to me, I have that demeanor." he said and they nodded then, as their new Coach crossed his arms, as he saw the love in his and the 10's eyes for him. "Love you too guys, this is full time now, we're together for good, so spring and summer adjustment. And then we kick it to high gear next season." he said and the 12 nodded gently smiling at him then.
"Which is why disappointing Picard was a knife to the heart now, his mother, his crew, Picard, for years he had that driven into his head, Picard was everything. That's everything that the gardener described Locarno to be, for years he listened to him. But what if he decided, after a sabbatical try again and come home, as Riker married Deanna. He's there for one last mission, that's this now, if dad had been there at the games, well with him distracted dad had it, had us."
"You ever consider that was a test during the Germany game right now, the 8 of us were faking it, knowing this talk was long in coming, every time something. That's something like this happens, it goes right to his head right now, to the point. That he forgets what it was he taught us, or starts drinking again, but he convinced us, that's the guys, Connie and me. And before we utilized it, our V, and then ending results were we crushed them." he said to them sternly then.
"With dad right now, in truth, Bombay created us, but dad furthers us right now, sure we lose our current jerseys for a few weeks, but no big deal. We got our school jerseys, carrying 2/3's of the Team USA logo, and our new symbol right now. But those colors are the Eden Hall colors, so we create our own version to them, hats included and bingo. We're the Eden Hall Mighty Ducks now, so new traditions gets starts, others remain, but dad, don't start with him right now."
"But again, don't start with the attitude and 2) you don't want to get in trouble, stop following the resident trouble maker on the team, I may not be wearing my C. But it doesn't matter, I am captain of the team, C or no C, so 1), stay out of trouble, 2) control the attitude. And 3) and I am not kidding, stay clear of the Varsity, Jared and Scooter are fine, but the 24. They're possibly Varsity Hawks, they are, we're not giving them the satisfaction of knowing they got to us."
"And anyone throws the first punch the psyche test is blown so stay clear, is that clear." he said and they all nodded sternly to the orders. "Ducks group up." he added and they nodded. "Quack, quack." Plucky said to his flock and they quacked and surrounded him, before they saw 7 standing outside the flock looking down sadly and as the 12 stayed next to Donald. "Well that read it out, the duo are David and Peterson, Donald is me." his father said and Charlie nodded.
"And the quintet is the 5 for listening to a 13 year old version of the biggest troublemaker inside this team, but never again, they stick by me, they stick with you. The aim, the 11 of us wanted for 3 years, or they listen to Peter and are benched and banned. And till they stopping acting like a 6 year old and grow up, Russ say it, as opportunities like this. They don't come by all the time, we're not going through it again, we're a team, a flock, that's us." he said gently then.
"Look man, we're in on scholarship, 'I'm' staying." he said and the quintet felt their hearts fall at that, he was a true Duck, not an outsider, he loved hockey, was like the 11. "The 12 of us are a flock, you all play for a different city district in 5 states, but Russ talks the way we do. Our hood, preppies, we worked hard to get into the academy, we earned those scholarships. You have the money, so why need them?" he asked and the quintet's parents nodded as Gordon nodded then.
Pointing at the 11, they saw the 10 surrounding Plucky as one of them rubbed their head against Plucky's neck and the quintet felt their hearts sink, realizing they never knew Gordon. "This is us after 4 years together, and you barely know my father, real or not, but he is now. He hears this from the 11 of us all the time, there is no I or me, but us and we, in this team now. You were given that jersey, now you have to earn it now, but as Jesse said, wearing a Duck's jersey."
"That doesn't make you a real duck, you have to earn them right now, so the next 8 months is a testing period here, as we work the growing pains under my father. But the Coach now, in truth that remark in a rephrase now, just 2 years prior, was the one that Peter threw at him. And remembering the pain of that insult, plus the fact he was dating my mother. You just ticked him off, and he went high school teacher on you, till I stepped in." he said and they swallowed hard.
"So that's what happened that night, after he got off the phone with Coach, the Coach was watching the game, seeing that reaction he was reminded of someone on the Varsity Hawks. Also losing his temper and nearly attacks someone, and he told him to run him through the P.T. session from heck?" Julie Gaffney said in shock and the 12 nodded sternly. "Through the remark, of anybody shares his opinion, you said, by Dean saying that you did, and you get boxed now."
"With him, or in this case, thrown into the P.T. session from heck, we know and knew better right now, then to say anything, having already ended up in detention here." he said and the quintet swallowed hard. "Jesse was only inquiring about his distraction, nothing more, which is considered calling the old man out right now. Because we're scared out of our minds, he's about to relapse and start drinking again." he said and they went white and Buckley nodded sternly.
"He quit drinking after meeting us, and thing of it is, the stardom, like the alcohol, affected his ability to focus, till Hans, or Jan talked some sense into him. The 9 of us quickly reworked ourselves and after I told Adam don't worry about the scouts, just focus. Till the Coach catches him in the act, and we know he keeps that up, that arm could be damaged permanently. He needs to let it heal, as I grabbed Russ and now we're 17." he said and the quintet nodded.
As the 8 looked at Gordon protectively and the quintet swallowed as Tammy hugged him and he tightened his arms around her, before Charlie's surrogate sister did. "So I think you get the point, new Coach, we're under new management, Dad has been training us. In the off season, so you agree with the trouble maker you get boxed or do laps with them. We're keeping our mouths shuts, Russ, stay quiet on me man, on me." he said and Russ nodded as Guy smiled.
"Yeah I remember, Charlie brought you into the locker room with us, and froze the dressing down, before Portman got us sentenced to a week of night practice." Guy said and he nodded as their single girl on their side of the 14 rested her hand on his arm gently and he smiled at her then. "He's the wise guy side of Jesse, but I love him like a brother here, so my version not here, I got him protecting me." she said and Buckley nodded smiling at that reveal then gently.
"Quack quack?" they heard a male duck say and they heard a tone that sounded female from the one talking to him and chuckled. "Shal, you sure you're up to tiny colored ball practice, Andy smacked you pretty hard there." Jesse read out and his sister smiled. "Yeah I'll be fine, but thanks again Darren for knocking him off course, or he could've slammed me into the bank." she said in response. "Tiny colored ball, they're playing with the marbles." Guy said laughing at that.
"Or just the balls the size of the hockey balls, but their playing with it, like a soccer ball." Gordon said with a laugh then. "Yeah if they were still ducklings the shooter ball is big enough to be a soccer ball in their eyes, but this size, they need one. Said that is two sizes up, and they still tower over it, but that's you now, the 17 are you from 13 to 15. And in a way still ducklings, to us, with us being your parents age group." The Coach said smiling and he nodded to that gently.
As they saw 3 of them talking till the second smacked the first in the chest, before their father quacked at them, and they gave a quack. And Plucky gave them a quack and they started laughing at that. "Jesse, or Russ, with me in a debate, till I get so annoyed I smack him across the chest and Uncle Ted tells us that's enough of that, before Charlie finishes that. Trust me that happens all the time between us, but yeah we're always like this." she said and he nodded then.
And with an amused smile to that demo. "To rephrase that conversation is 'how are we doing do exactly here Hammer' 'Good, but don't get cocky'. 'The hammer get bent' 'Alright you asked for it, 'Alright guys that's enough of that already'. 'Yes dad.' 'No kidding, and would you guys can it already, Jesse stop antagonizing her, and Connie easy. I get he's annoying you, but you don't have to beat him senseless here.'." he translated and the student body started laughing at that.
"Point taken." one of them said smiling. "We need to put bows on the girls, to know who's who in genders, hey Plucky is that your sister, the one that duck hugged you?" Charlie asked and he gave a quack and they nodded. "She's my version of your dark feathered friend, Charlie." he quacked and Connie Monroe chuckled, knowing he meant her. "Nice wording here, they don't have shoulders, so her head to his neck is close enough." their biology teacher said smiling.
"Which to a human, they reach full maturity by the time they're 18 years old human years here, but he looks 3.5 months so no older then you guys, he just grew his wings in and turned white." Buckley said and he nodded as he looked at his duck counterpart. "Yeah well I feel like my legs are too big for my feet, but 13, in a 18 year old body here." He said and the team nodded in agreement. "That's me entirely brother, I'm 13 in my adult body." he said with a quack to him.
"Your prediction is close Coach, one more close call or said turns into a real one, they're done, but they're the Brumly boys, never think with their heads here. Shepard was a better choice, for back up fighting companions, here during the rumble now. Though they stuck to their sides, never mattered and what if that night was a sting operation, and Matthews knew that." he said and they nodded in agreement. "Then you take the bait, you're done." he said sternly to that.
"Dead duck walking here." Russel, said with a bemused smile then and the entire faculty nodded sternly to that opinion then. "Yeah, you have no idea and if that grudge match turns into a brawl next, just make the noise so loud it gets our attention. As instead of the cops, it's us in the J.V. Coaches, as this happens when your brother is still recovering. From getting a possible set of broken ribs, we can call attempted murder charges for aggravating that injury right now."
"When we all know he wasn't supposed to be playing." The baseball coach said to that sternly. "Like I said, you just blew any mental edge you may have had against the Greasers or in this case, the Ducks, now they know they own you, this isn't the peewees. Your little attempts at mind tricks will not work on this level, now for the last time, you stay away from my son. And his team, is that clear." his father said, looking at the Varsity team and they swallowed hard.
"Well they cross me, Les' is my right hand and we took your scientific advice to the max here, as you're a chemistry teacher, dad." he said and the older man nodded sternly then. "Lovely, yes alright gentlemen, get in trouble one more time, you're facing me this time, check that attitude. At the door, before you come into my locker room, because your team mates are my players now, but no one is forcing either of you to be here, it's your lives, you choose which direction."
"You want to lead them, but there are 2 choices, here at the academy, or reform school." he said sternly and the teenager nodded in agreement. "Yeah no kidding, dad." he said and he smiled. "Dad?" Gordon asked and they smiled. "We bonded before you came back, so though you were gone, he connected to me before a close call, we been together ever since. So though his mother divorced, again and you never got together, never mattered, he didn't need another."
"In dead beat stepdads, as he had me." he said and Gordon nodded smiling gently, knowing his captain wasn't feeling abandoned, he bonded to his best friend, he'd be okay now then. "Charlie what you want a bet that us knowing 7 months in advance he's possibly our latest now. And while the 17 of us can handle this, those idiots, if they get in trouble, again, won't. And everything we would be hearing coming out of you, is him again at the moment here now."
"Because these guys hate adult authority, we grown so accustomed to having a regular coach, we changed into this us right now?" Guy Germaine said and he nodded. "I know, and while they hate adult authority, we need that from the final one, from our parents, to the school. To our coach, if he's more to us then we think, he's three in one now in truth in truth. While Uncle Derek is the 4th right now, as for the other question, in knowing I bonded to him this soon."
"No bet, but I don't doubt we will, if dad here here is our next one, instead of meeting on the first day of school, we been spending the last 6 to 7 months. In working with him, and soon we're like we are with the Coach currently, but his being a parent, my adoptive. That everything in coach is rephrased as father now, when cub got in trouble with the principal, or just the cops. If these idiots get in trouble for whatever reason here." he said and his father covered his eyes.
"Then again, if he's mine in truth, my biological father, what I wanted for 4 years comes to pass finally, and the Coach returned me to my real father, he, the Coach, is my godfather." Charlie Conway said and the team nodded and the man smiled. "With the way you guys act together, since we were 11, we see that clearly, he is your father, real or not." Guy said and the 9 nodded in agreement as Adam's big brother Jared crossed his arms smiling then and his father chuckled.
"Yes I call that bad right now, that after 4 years, since Gordon left and came back, there is now a picture of Charlie with you in your backyard on the desk in the locker room. You guys are always together in the off season, so much here right now, that blood or not. He's calling you by said title, there is no room for misinterpretation here, that mess with him. Whoever it is, is losing their heads right now, and the 10 with him." Buckley said with a gentle smile to that.
"If this was normal, it's case of the son/father partnerships each city government created, for children with a missing parent. But with you, you gravitated to each other from the second Coach got put on community service." Guy said and he nodded. "Uh oh." they heard from their class to that. "Yeah uh oh alright, if you're mine and everything I say as coach, is rephrased as a father now finally here, and your team know that tone in my voice, after 7 months of this now."
"You're used to that tone in my voice here right now, but Peterson is in big trouble." he said and Charlie nodded. "Then again after I saved your daughter in winter of 1993, the bond only deepened, so though close to Coach Bombay, we bonded and we felt like father and son already. But the truth comes out now, I can just change my name back to my real name." he said and the Coach smiled at that remark. "Yeah good point, son." he said and Casey smiled in relief.
"The ice cracked while Karen was on it, and preventing her from falling through it, Charlie risked taking a dunk in water cold enough to kill. But Charlie and I changed and grew up, but first the near car accident and we stopped a near 3-car pile up. While this was the winter directly after you left and directly after this was a near hit and run, Coach. Karen's friends and she lost their kickball and he prevented an car accident." the red head said and Gordon nodded to the news.
"They had a case of father/son bonding ever since, and after Charlie told us you just got back, we all knew he was finished with Jared's version and ready to take us on. He would have come with us if he had the chance, but he's a chemistry teacher here. So he was watching the games, and knew, one game lost is not a big deal, we just fix that, win one/lose one. Story of our lives as Charlie got on the phone with him, we learn more from said loss." Guy added and he nodded.
"And second year Bantam just got exchanged for being the new J.V., so we get our wish, but he was being our coach and working with dad, while you were gone. The new plays we injected were him, which was why our side of the team was undefeated." Jesse Hall said and he chuckled and nodded. "Our, you mean the city born and raised Ducks." he said and they nodded. "Yeah it was us: the Minneapolis Mighty Ducks, your new A.C., Coach." he said and Buckley chuckled.
"He was doing the grading, after you got back, from the bleachers, as he watched right now, but last year right now resulted in the standard. These guys are close to trouble right now, he's had to get on Peter's case one too many times right now. But Peter hates him, just because he's not backing down down the way you nearly did right now." he said and Gordon nodded. "Being the authority figure and you're still learning to be a parent here, is no matter what we act like."
"You're not budging here right now, that's being a parent, teacher or Coach, but you're all three, and the real troublemakers are in big trouble here. But the Ducklings from 9 to 13 now, are learning our biggest tricks, but here's the thing. As the oldest or second oldest, we're the role model, what we do, they want to imitate, but anything dangerous or worse. That could get them hurt, but we're on babysitting duty, in our or Jared's cases." he explained and Gordon nodded.
"Issues in being an educator, you're surrounded by kids day in and day out around here, you got to play the parent, for the ones that don't have kids. But you do, and you parent the kids, like you do your own, so the same rules apply here. Grades, staying clean and staying out of trouble, because the coach is fully responsible for their players. When in the system, and your team are first generation Ducks, so no trouble." Jesse's father said and he nodded gently to him.
"I see why he said that then, he's still irritated at Peter for acting like this, if he went to his real name." Gordon said and they nodded. "Yeah that's the reason exactly Gordon, Charlie is all I talk about, so Charlie is my golden child, he can do no wrong. That Peterson, if he wants to get anywhere with me, better shut down that attitude right now. After I walked right into it, before a near mugging and immediately following this was Charlie came to me for my advice here."
"On why you decided to add Adam." he said and Gordon nodded sternly. "Oh boy, yeah that's not good right now, going with the real name to the nickname. Now, if you're now calling him that, but while you call us by name at the moment here. They get the surname and immediately followed by the full name ultimatums here now." Charlie said and he nodded gently. "Yes, but after they forgot my voice they're getting big reminder, after hearing it the day I found you."
"Again, after I was at the near crash site?" the coach said gently and he nodded. "Yeah and after you heard the racket, after Larson and McGill jumped us, as you're the cherry red SUV. You seem to be following us around, despite having a team already." he said and the man nodded. "Well knowing Jason, if he needs help controlling these guys, well if they thought he's bad, well I'm worse, and you hear this from me all the time at 14 now." he said and they nodded smiling.
"But in truth son, now that I was free of the current Varsity, I could focus all my time on you, making a few corrections to the plays, I'm ready." he said and Charlie smiled at that. "You been coming to every game the last two years, since you don't have to deal with them. The Varsity anymore, acting as the assistant coach, as a stand in, only now assistant. The Assistant Coach officially becomes head coach now, we had you following us." he said and the man smiled then.
"You better edit that for the duo if they get added to the team, more professional here, in what we're talking about, as their first day back on the team. They get the tone you would have given us if we never had the chance to spend 7 months together. In training, but we're already bonded to you, even before, now we got to get used to your coaching tones. That won't take long and the season just ended, we got all season here to work it out." he said and he crossed his arms.
"Oh boy, just wait for the punchline, while we're doing half skating and half working out a maneuver we done 150 times, till he gives the irritated Coach tone. But you been using that psyche out method so many times, Peter won't understand it till he tries to get it right now. But how many times can one lose your temper, before he decides that's it, that until you start. Now, acting your age again, you're gone here." Guy said and he nodded and the man nodded sternly.
"Yes and make him make the first move, Peterson!" he called out and they watched the captain swallow hard. "I take it he never got that, no matter how many times you shouted to him right now, dad?" he asked and the man turned and saw the sick look on his face and nodded. "The second time I told him to do this, he missed the psyche out, the Cardinal moved around him. And scored, and he was so furious, he broke the stick in half, as for my tone to Peterson now."
"And by that he means this." the Coach said and giving a fast blow. "Freeze, I said freeze!" he said and the team watched as the Varsity froze up instantly at that. "Before that has whoever skating on one leg running into the wall, as our take in movies. Said has the instant case of sounding like Jim Carrey." Charlie said and he nodded. "I get that, but when I said that, I didn't mean all of you putting the brakes on till you skid into the wall." he said with a bemused smile.
"Well get ready for Peter's irritation here after you did that so many times, we got used to it, but unlike us Peter is hearing this twice in two days. And the look on your face after the shot never made it, when Fulton, the Halls, Les', Dwayne, Julie. Russ and I are Red team in training, but the attitude he's giving you and Karp with him. Now, is wearing thin in our eyes, but compared to him, the team will listen to me no questions asked." he said and the Coach nodded gently.
"Two teams of 8, one of you gets laid out we got a back up, in the 17 of you, okay we use that then, but you got half the sextet. Adam has the other, before the showdown here, but the competition for leader of the entire team is you and Peterson. Before a secondary with Adam and him as competition here for leader of the white team now. But you knew me longer to realize this now, but that attitude I will not tolerate on this team." he said and the team nodded.
"Uh oh." they heard their entire class say to that and the team nodded in agreement. "The truth comes out now, before the end of the day he is my father, and we're 19 to 20 years younger…" he said and they all nodded. "Everything said as coach is paraphrased as a father now, we're the right age, the Varsity are 4 years older then we are. And their parents are the next age group up, by 20 to 24 years and our class is 14 years old, and his age group are our parents."
"But again, we're the side that hates the demeaning warrior name, there is more to the Native Americans then being warriors. Just as Mel Gibson's portrayal said, Sacagewea lead the Lewis and Clark expedition, Squanto became friends with the members of Plymouth. Pocahontas, she stopped a war between Jamestown and her people from getting started. But look at this from our view for once you hotshots, but you're the pilgrims, we're the Native Americans now."
"And we're showing the true face of what this school is really about, because as anyone ever consider here that we see that attitude now. And then there's the Addams family, the demeaning racism of the first ever Thanksgiving is given out so cruelly. That Chris actually drove that home to the rich kids and their parents, before trashing the camp."
"The way that saccharine camp on that movie saw the Natives 250 years ago, same difference, so there is more to the Native American tribes then being warriors, they created Lacrosse. They created a way to navigate the rivers, and without getting lost in the forest right now. There is much more to the Native Americans then being warriors." his basketball counterpart said sternly to this and the coach nodded sternly in agreement then as the Board jerked at the jab.
"I think you get the point, of the 17 of us, who here is the younger brother of a member of the Varsity, knowing what you hotshots are really like, hmm. And just de-age you 4 years, you look like Jack, Tim, I know who you are, you bonehead, you're the Varsity Hawks, class of 1992." Adam said and they all paled at that remark and their new coach crossed his arms. "Born 1978, we're 1982, the timing is just right here." he said and their parents crossed their arms sternly.
"And to say this now, if you start with the threats, just save the trash talk, as you're still sulking we never lost our scholarships. But as Charlie would say here right now, you guys had an unfair advantage the last time, you had me. But not anymore, I'm a Duck, my flock is my home, so go home is go home to my flock and my uncle. If the Coach is Charlie's father and dad's best friend, like Charlie is mine, but touch him, you're a dead man." he said and he swallowed hard.
"Yeah now you got a problem, I'm 38 years old and you're 4 years younger, Ted." Banks said and he nodded in agreement. "Adam's class is the next age group down, but 2 kids in their teens and the youngest in her preteens, as the nest is slowly going empty here. That the empty nest syndrome has us as their parents getting short tempered here. But the attitude by the resident trouble makers on this team right now, said is not helping our moods right now."
"And trying to keep the team separated from the older version is trying the patience further, thankfully, your son and Scott are not a problem, it's the Hawks we need to worry about here." he said and Banks nodded in agreement. "Bad side effect here right now, when our symbol is a bird right now, but our version is a pack animal." he said and the Coach nodded in agreement. "I'm starting to wish I started 4 years ago, giving me 9 years, instead of 5 with my oldest."
"But 5 years and 9 months, making up for lost time right now, then again why need that, we met 3 years ago and though possibly not true. Doesn't matter, real or not, he is my son, and I love the kids, but I get these next 5 years with him. And as both coach and dad, and I'm making every second count now in truth here, but knowing these guys. As they're staying in Minnesota and staying close, before my son follows my footsteps." he said and Banks nodded gently then.
"Yeah Charlie, I think our fathers are speaking the same language, but your sister is going on 9, mine is 11 now, and we're the middle and oldest child. That soon the nest is going to be empty, so make it count the next 5 years." Adam said and Charlie nodded. "Or the past 3 and the next 5, we been around him so long, that before it was dad, and now it's coach and dad. But really Peter, that attitude was uncalled for, now pull yourself together." he said and the 10 nodded.
"Young man control that temper, you raise your voice at me, you're boxed, calm down right now.', this kid needs to understand. I hear that attitude day in and day out, but you guys know better then to raise your voices at us, if said coach is also your parent." he added and the team nodded in agreement. "And what he sees as too hard is a way of life for us, first a few laps, then shooting and defense practice and then comes working at a play." Charlie said and he nodded.
"Same thing every day, get into a pattern the pattern is hard to slip off of, but what would have been is the road not taken, if I came to you after you called out to us. Just became a reality now as things took a total switch up here now, but a school coach you're firm here. In training, being the guiding hand and mentor we need here now, but these guys hate adult authority. We need it to stay this us." he said and the man nodded gently as he looked into his eyes, seeing it then.
"Watch it with the side effects, as at times your players grow too attached to you, more then a team, a family, and we're one mind in 18 bodies here now." Adam Banks said to that and Charlie nodded. "We can do this easily at the moment here, get used to your training tones with us, but we're 10 in our 14 year old bodies with you, like it would be. That if you been there, since Coach left, we play for you, before doing it for real." Charlie said and he nodded, as his eyes gentled.
'Yeah that did it, the inner duckling is being a duckling with their papa duck, if I had been the assistant coach for them. I understand baby, and we can be a real family as a team here, if you're mine, my dear baby boy. But there's the you I know, you could never disappoint me and why would you exactly, your mother and me. So our trust is all that matters to you son, I understand, so both parents now here." he thought, hiding a smile at the analogy then gently.
"Wasn't there a side effect here in this, with us starting under a school coach?" Tammy Duncan asked and he nodded. "The side effect is soon after 7 months training, we become pre cadets in soldiers, because unlike peewees, the said coach was outside school. Inside is a whole new ball game, where the parents and the coach co-ordinate here now. With us under him, your parents tell him certain details he re-enforces here, but in playing for our mentor, the lead Duck now."
"Our adult Duck is now the new head Duck for the flock, so though dressed in red and white, we're dressed in our current team symbol, as these current ones are on a hold." he said and she nodded. "And frankly you had one very good coach, but the other is a school coach, and we, as your parents are all thinking this, doesn't matter who it is. A reaction like a destroyed hockey stick is beyond juvenile, and you used to feel the same way about him, you did Gordon now."
"That the only thing that needs to change around here, is that attitude problem of your's, guys, but you guys spending all spring and summer bonding to Ted. That just saved us 7 months of worry, in the case of your brother, if Ted is my ex husband. Gordon just passed him back to his father, saving us, from your parents and me, to the faculty. And your headmaster, 8 months of worry, based on paternal abandonment here." Casey said sternly and she nodded in agreement.
"I'm going to kill those idiots for that, if Coach never took that decision back, Charlie turns into Peter." Guy said in response to her and she nodded in understanding to that opinion then gently. "Yeah and what 2 years does to you, that Peter and David don't realize how much has changed, you bonded to your father, if he is, this tightly. You're beyond good, and ready for the school season, as the administration realizes you're about to give the opposing schools a run."
"A real run for their money, but one close call injury, and with Gordon out of the picture, you turned into this you. As you lead them and now after 7 months, they come to depend on you so much, honey, only you can control your friends." she said and he nodded smiling. "Well you never miss a game anyway, Aunt Casey, that to us, having you and Uncle Jason always there. This became normal to us, that it's the same thing every year now." Guy said, smiling to her.
"Love you too guys and that's never going to change either, I'm always at the games still, but frankly, here is one door opens and another closes." she said and they nodded. "Your father's opinion, of you being the true Captain came to the fore, as Peter realizes he can't compete." Tammy said and Charlie nodded in agreement. "And frankly you don't need the symbol to prove you're the leaders of the team, hey son." The Coach said and Adam chuckled and nodded then.
"Agreed, Coach left us with you, and 2 years in 7 months, totally devoted to you." Adam said smiling and he nodded gently. "So now what Riley, hmm, what 7 months does to you, it's almost like the entire 4 years in 7 months, that you're seeing us as one mind. And in 18 bodies now between the 18 of us here, they're the second version, you're the first." he said and the Varsity all paled. "Seven months, they train everyday, oh god we're finished!' he thought to that news.
"And that's not a threat, if we did the entire 5 years, if I found him when we were 9 we're 10 and you're 14, 2 years later, 12 to 16, and now a furthered 2 years, 14 and 18. As to that he gets the entire 10 years watching our biggest milestones in the 11 of us. That we've reached your level in only 4 years now, but if you refused to give up your training. If we find evidence that proves you're refusing to let go of Reilly, we win." Charlie said and he swallowed hard then.
"But with the Coach taking a few steps back and training the next generation, dad has all the time in the world to spend on us, so your refusal here. To let him in, we do fully, and now here's the ending resulting, as my godfather is training my duckling captain. Dad has me, I turn into the man I am now, a natural leader, and one the team are ready to follow right into flames. But you're seeing us in a new version to our jerseys as his version, these jerseys in a new one."
"You'll see the new version once we get things worked out, but after 7 months, 7 months are from duckling to full college age in look duck. But is really, just a very young teenage duckling duck." he said and Buckley hid a chuckle. "Nice work with the metaphor, you're not fully grown for another 5 years, you're a teenage duck. As though you're growing your wings and turning white, you got another 7 years, pal." the Coach said, smiling in affection and Casey chuckled.
"You're all 13 to 14 in junior to high school age bodies, you got another 7 years then you're fully grown, but though young adult ducks, to me, still my ducklings." he said and they smiled gently at that and Gordon knew this would work out just fine. "We're expecting trouble if we get Peterson and David back on the team right now son, but with that. It's I don't care who started this, because what they did could put someone in the hospital." he said and they nodded firmly.
"Well I can imagine the reaction, after you see you have a severe amount of work with those guys, but after said practical joke, I'm right behind you, as we decide. And with Kat out of commission for a bit that I hold the position of Goalie, before the look on your face says it all. After someone spiked something over loaded with sugar, these jokes with the junk food are ending now, as I know that look on your face." Their Goalie said and he nodded in agreement.
"Whoever gave her too much of that junk, I'm going to kill them, what if it was the week of her's time of the month right now, and hacking it back up. Is first this, and then a hot flash, as Connie and I help you check on her right now." Tammy said sternly and Charlie nodded in agreement then. "And the look on his face says whoever did this, is asking for the riot act from heck right now, he's a father of a girl, but 3 adoptive teenage daughters." he said and the 13 nodded then.
"Yeah no kidding, I told you guys to cut back the sugar and ease back on the caffeine, whoever triggered this is getting 60 laps and a weeks work of morning practice. Because if this was during said week, she could collapse right now, you just put her out on a health violation. And I know she didn't mean to over shoot the mark, gentlemen, if that was you, Peterson. Then you and David are benched till further notice, young man." he said sternly and the team flinched.
"And there's a tone we definitely don't want turned on us." She said in response and he nodded gently. "I know baby, but at this stage your reflexes have to start speeding up, as you're entering high school to college and entering pros, stop and you get run down. So keep moving before they run you right into a wall." he said gently and they nodded to his advice. "Yeah just imagine the first week back on the team, the 14 of us are practicing as a single team here."
"Said line and on that Charlie reacts immediately as he does the maneuver and Peter is being run through said same as he never gets it, you call a halt and one of us crashes into the wall." Guy said and the man nodded gently to that remark. "How many new plays we got, dad?" Charlie asked and he smiled. "That's 150 new ones." he said and they smiled. "We had a hundred plays for the first 4 years, and you added another 150, awesome right now."
"So our playbook has 250 moves we can use, as we spend all summer training and all spring, boy what 7 months training and bonding to you results in. Do they not realize, if you're really my father, that I'm the son of the new head coach of the team. And instead of just 'the coach', it's now 'dad and the Coach'." Charlie said and he smiled and they started shaking. 'Oh god, he was bad as a coach, but Conway, he's going furious father bear.' the Captain thought to that.
"Or Charlie Orion, Riley think it over, that could be my real name, it is, and I was just returned to my father, for advanced training. And with it, the gang was put back together in the adults, as our parents in the 6 of us got back together, each of us cub version. Matched to our adult self, what if he's mine, you ever think about that, he has a daughter. Add three more girls, and the catalyst of the situation, why Adam quit you cold turkey." he said and he swallowed hard then.
As the Coach crossed his arms as Charlie crossed his. "The mannerisms are matched, aside from the hair color, it's 4 shades darker then Ted now, but you have his eyes. In fact, you look just like him, but as a teenage version of him." Buckley said and the Coach nodded. "Same as the Coach, you're his former teacher and Coach as a hockey player?" Charlie asked and he nodded. "I knew your parents all their lives, that having it start twice with you right now in truth."
"Give it a few months, I see an affinity for greatness in your and Adam's cases, once Ted completes your training here son." he said and Charlie smiled. "And there's the pep talk of a true coach, compared to Jack Reilly." he said and Buckley nodded smiling at that. "Captain, as next in command of the team, in military training, the captain is a Lieutenant Colonel. While the Coach is the full, you lead the team, we lead you and the team." he said and Charlie nodded.
"And frankly I don't need this to prove I'm leader of the 17 of us, that shows in everyway possible, so with that." he said and took the C off his shoulder then. "Let me guess, you were all bent out of shape, he took your C away from you and started to. In your eyes, start picking on you, if your peewee coach is who I think here right now, but really. While you just met him on the first day of school, we meet now, and 7 months training…" he asked and he swallowed hard.
"If he's my father, then here's a piece of advice, into being a captain, but the captain is the leader of the team, the first to practice. The last to leave, he must remain focused at all times now, you see the captain had to work harder than anyone. That while the others are messing around, the captain is in his room going over the playbook. Knowing every flaw in the plays, and how to exploit them, if a team mate is injured, it's his job to alert the parents and the coach."
"So have you done anything that made you look like a true captain to your team to the adults here now, since you made Varsity, after dad tried with you, but gave up?" he asked and he went pale, realizing the younger boy, was a skilled captain of going on 5 years now. "I must be frank now, after the Hawks tried to kill us because we beat them twice in 2 years. Even with no proper Coach, before Coach Bombay got back right now, but say that it's ridiculous, that he can give it."
"That wasn't a threat but a promise, play ball or we tell everyone about how you, your boys, could have killed a few dozen bystanders. And in addition to us twice in a year, first the lake, and then that trip line in the park, followed by whatever happens here." he said and the entire board all paled. "Tie this up court for years, translation: I suggest you think wisely right now, because the courts will not like the fact you're trying to expel them on hate crimes here."
"After you risked 700 other people by blowing the outdoor skating rink and that trip line, where anyone besides my team could hit it." Gordon said sternly and they all went white then. "But you think his father won't call me back in, because after he told me your brats struck Charlie. And in his still healing rib cage, I can have you all tried for attempted murder here now, when you knew, you knew he was recovering and they still challenged them to a match right now."
"But attempted murder, reckless endangerment, a brawl, vandalism, destruction of school property, so tell me what crime have my ducklings committed. When your boys crimes are so big, and with them adults, no more tried as a child." he said and they went white as a sheet at that. "Play ball and I will waive the 4 of the 7 charges, but you don't and I'm hitting you for all 10 at once, including outdoor skating rink and the park." he said and they nodded shaking then.
"My kids are good people, but I'm leaving them in the capable hands now, of my best friend, Coach Ted Orion now. But the Ducks earned it, they earned these scholarships, hopefully paving the way to more future championships." he said and and Charlie smiled at him. "And there's the voice of a true captain, and one destined for greatness now as the years go by." Buckley said in affection and he looked down smiling and his adult double chuckled at that response then.
And as his second enforcer shook his shoulders with a smile. "Yeah our leader, we'd follow him right into the flames if he asked us to." Guy said smiling and their parents chuckled. "I know guys, I know, to you it doesn't matter if I'm wearing it or not, to you guys, still captain. I don't need it to show my authority, it shows even without it, but 7 months without it. I don't need it, I'm still leader of the 17 of us, as for dad and us." he said and his adult counterpart smiled.
"Seven months training, we're so close, it's papa bear with cub bears, or with our symbol, papa duck, but as Gordon got you through basic training, I get you through it. Advanced training and we go to a strategy in defense for, and revamp the regime here." the Coach said and he nodded smiling. "Yeah but that's my job, I can create it, and we create our new jerseys under you now, as the Eden Hall Mighty Ducks now." he said and the man smiled and nodded gently at that.
"But are you idiots crazy, think about it, there's a reason we call him the rampaging bull, why charge him when he never had the puck?" Charlie asked and they went white and every parent in the school nodded in shock. "Are you idiots out of your mind or are you just plain stupid right now, that could kill someone, if it breaks the window!" Adam's sister said in shocked fury. "That or the blades up if he lands upside down here." Buckley said sternly, realizing that was reckless.
"Dad said you're a hockey coach, you knew for years here?" Charlie said and he nodded sternly then to him. "Yes I did, but what he taught you is what I taught him, Mike, Basil and Gordon, they're my players, and though a career ending injury. That he still got a chance, but what your father taught you, I taught him, I became headmaster when they were 25." he said and he nodded. "When Karen and Winny were born and 2 years old." Adam said and he nodded gently.
"I've been a teacher and Coach for 30 years, before my promotion to headmaster 9 years ago, as such, having your father teaching J.V.. That he enhanced the hockey requirements with his being a pro hockey player, Robert Wilson was my replacement. Now, as it went from full team, to J.V./Varsity in sides here right now, but nothing's changed. And won't till you finish college, as for this rampaging bull, I call that beyond reckless right now." he said, crossing his arms then.
And to down right near attempted murder, with the fact the skates were freshly sharpened. "Yeah no kidding, you realize you brats could kill someone, if the blade cut someone across the throat!" their new coach said in shock. "You are such an idiot Cole, Charlie's right, why charge Portman when he never had the puck, this is hockey. Not football, we're playing here, we're wearing ice skates, not cleats, you idiot!" Adam's brother said and he swallowed hard at that.
"Dad!" Charlie said and he nodded sternly. "Everybody, in range of the crash site, get out of the way, before he tries that!" he called out and the adults and parents nodded. 'Dad, dad, dad, oh my god, barely 24 hours, and already he's declaring his territory with Ted. More then father, but mentor, a mentor is everything you need them to be, and what my baby. Now needs is a father, if he's my first husband, Gordon returned him back to his father.' Casey thought to that gently.
"You made a few changes to plays, well we got some work to do, as we apply your version to our training before the showdown, we're ready." Terry said and he nodded. "Yeah updated the current plays, added a few dozen new ones and we create a new system this year. But with me I never leave you alone for long, after your brother drove the zamboni through the wall." he said and Charlie covered his eyes. "Whoever left the keys in the engine…" Casey said gently to that.
"You left yourself wide open for that to happen, but this is why we never leave our children and students alone for long, we do they could get into trouble they can't get out of. But if by leaving the keys in the engine, you left yourself wide open for that to happen buster. Never leave the keys just lying around, or they're going to pretend that thing is the R.C. track pal." The Coach said to finish that and their parents and teachers nodded in agreement with a bemused smile.
"Indeed, if you never wanted that to happen, get the keys, you bonehead." their teacher said with an amused smile. "It was directly after this, that he saw the need of two added adults and Jan came and gave him a hand, but you better get Jenkins and Ms. McKay. We need a full school staff, because if the Varsity neglect their grades, we're not, both sides here. Straight A students, class players, just tell me, what crime have we committed?" he asked and the Varsity all paled.
"But really Riley, you're picking on a group of just turned 14 to 15 year olds, because you're rich, but does this look familiar, as the leader of the cast, current leader. Played who back in 1983, next to a certain actor, doing 3 roles all within the same 4 books." he said and they all paled at that. "You can't win, you know that don't you, it doesn't matter even if you beat us, you'll still be right back where you were before, on your way out the door as you graduate."
"And we'll still be the lucky ones at the top with all the breaks, doesn't matter, Ducks will still be Ducks and Hawks will still be Hawks, rephrase that. You're juniors at this age, we do book studies, what's the coming of age for us, before we graduate. And my team loves this book series, because the true star of it, just happens to play our current coach." he said and they all paled. "Emilio Esteves, he played Matthews, Jennings and Collins." he said and Charlie nodded.
"Collins was the last of his characters, that was 10 years before he played the coach, we knew this, but nothing changes, nothing ever changes, say we're in on a free ride. Look at you rich boy, mommy and daddy gave you everything, but you know what. It's we're still holding Winny and her medical fundraisers against you, if you and Hawks. Our version, are one and the same, 1992 Championships, we defeated you with 2 players out." he said and they paled further then.
"But Greasers will still be Greasers and Socs and Socs will still be Socs, that's, in hockey form Hawks will still be Hawks, and Ducks will still be Ducks. Nothing changes, but win or lose at the end of the day, we're not you, but get a little money and the whole world hates you? No you hate the whole world, but we hate money, as we know greed turns us into you. We were never after the championship, we need that money to save Winny." he said and they went white then.
"That's right lame brain, we know what this is really about Scooter, Jared, Duck up." he said and the duo separated themselves from the rest of the Varsity and they swallowed. "But if what dad says what I'm thinking, you're jealous, you're jealous we got chosen to be team USA. And your brothers, if you and the Hawks J.V. are related did not, you're furious we beat you 4 times. In 4 years, simply for these reasons, it's team rivalries, it always was right now, but in truth here."
"If you never took dad's training and we do, we're going to wipe the rink with you, but what 7 months does, we get through training. But think it over: 1 month after we start training, our scores are so good, we won the game easily. But that's 1 month, but what about 2, 3, up to 7 and we won every game before the showdown. What's this say, after your brothers got arrested by Fulton and then by dad, before we left for L.A." Charlie said and they went white at that.
"Ted was that really necessary to be following the sextet around, after Charlie picked up Jesse?" Buckley asked and he nodded. "Yeah it was, because if I hadn't the catch of said first book is the case, Greasers and Socs, the Socs tried to kill the Greasers. Reason is because we won the championships, just before Gordon came home, the spring before. And directly after Fulton tied said trio to the tree, I called the cops for reckless endangerment." he said and Buckley nodded.
"Wait what?" Gordon asked and Charlie sighed. "After 2 years having Uncle Jason coaching us, before you came back, the last one resulted in the remarks. 'I still can't believe they beat us last year', last year was the spring semester, before you came home now. Before the follow up remark, served to punctuate a threat you'd both consider a motive. And for attempted multiple murder, being our current and future coaches." Connie said explaining it and he nodded then.
"Charlie why didn't you tell me this, because if one of you is hurt, I need to know that now." he said and he sighed. "Because we were in a rush to meet up with you, but this caused a delay necessary that the Hawks image was forever blown now. Though if dad told Uncle Derek, it's all over town in a week and their reputation is nothing now. Especially after Reilly's threat of, if we beat them, then nobody makes the team the following year." he said and Gordon nodded then.
"Uh huh, and would this explain the cut across Fulton's arm, I noticed he had his arm wrapped, when you met up with me." he asked sternly and they nodded. "Yeah the wire got him across the arm, while he arrested and tied these idiots to a tree." Charlie said and he nodded. "Officer Jacobs wrapped his arm and arrested these idiots, before he told us to get to the R.V. point." Guy said and he nodded sternly as he exchanged firm looks with his counterpart at that then.
"Your versions names wouldn't be Alex Patterson, Jason McGill and Chris Larson would they, because after I got rid of my version. I heard the trio still griping that you beat out their brothers, before the Dean switched them with you." The Coach asked and he nodded gently then. "Yes Sir, that's them alright, so that was you, the Cherry red SUV, sitting next to Uncle Derek's cruiser, you told dad, and he was swearing a blue streak." Terry asked and he nodded.
"Jason, you mean Uncle Jason, Jason Hall?" Charlie asked and the man nodded smiling. "Yeah Jason is my best friend, I knew your parents, since we were no older then your sister. When you started your own fundraisers for her." he said and they smiled at the news. "But Adam, I'm your big brother's former Coach, Coach T. Orion." he said and the boy smiled in delight. "Right, these guys just got out of the peewees, it was after Charlie and I became friends here now in truth."
"That Jared invited him to a Friday game, the rest of the team with him the following year after they were with you, watching the plays, I could tell Riley was getting sick. And of you being on his case, till the Blakes got 3 shots in, but that did it, as he broke the stick in half. A 4 minute penalty and then tried acting like a one man team and got hooked here. After the game, I remember Jared ranting that you were benching Riley and Cole one too many times here."
"Not that he minded, you had them on a strict regime, but stay clean and training, start with that junk and no training and B's or better to play. No problem we can do that, we can conform to your rules and training, we're fast learners, Sir." he said and the Coach nodded in approval then. "Agreed, we can do that Sir, easily, so both sides of the scholarship no problem, but we been through basic training, if you're advanced, easy and no problem." Charlie said to him then.
