D3: The Mighty Ducks Re-Imagined
Warnings: For this chapter we get a said single scene in training, before the term starts, as they quickly bond to Orion. And then Orion gets said phone call from Casey's twin brother on Peter and Karp. And what they did this time to get put under his supervision at the school. This is going to be a re-imagining of D3: the Mighty Ducks as Charlie meets Orion at the start of the summer, as their lives are fused together.
As they prepare for what their future brings now, and as Charlie learns the truth that their new coach is friend of their current's. And with it, that Orion is his real father and he has a life outside of the team. This is also going to leave out the tv show, so an alternate reality story. But the other clip to this is going to show a few situations of Orion's coming into the picture, just before Charlie chose him as their back up coach.

Chapter 5: The First Day Of Training And First Confrontations II
"Warning him off, before I give the riot act from heck, son?" Orion asked and Charlie nodded gently as he walked back to them then. "Yep, you said stay away from them, that's what we're going to do here, no grudge match, but you know Peter." he said and Orion nodded sternly then. "Yeah I do, but there's the attitude I expect, from my captain of the team, you know we're watching, without violence, you warn him off." he said and Charlie smiled and Casey chuckled.
As he ran his hand through the hair at the back of his head. "Quack?" "Peep peep." they heard and they chuckled. "Yeah guys, whoever was on baby sitting duty, watch out for boxes with wheels, when crossing dirt road with lines, okay." Casey said and they gave a quack and peep to her as they heard a paternal quack of agreement to that. "Plucky and Huey are you and me baby, so with you this age, before you try skating with your legs out." Charlie said to his sister.
"Kimberly, we took a step back in my and Casey's case, but two families, and he's your stepson, she's Casey's adopted daughter." Orion said and his wife nodded smiling then. "So Derek is my brother-in-law, yeah okay got it, then the boy looking like him is my nephew now. These little monsters, did they expect to get away with that, to hang onto their tuition money. They tried to kill our children, they're crazy!" she said and the Varsity all paled, realizing they were screwed.
"Running on a guess, before this results in a case of hazing now, and the board leader…., what's his name?" Adam asked and Dean Buckley said it. "Thomas Riley." he said and they nodded. "So the Rileys huh, as in Jackson and Rick Riley?" he asked and Buckley nodded. "Charlie, we got a grudge match, vultures coming in at the gate, peewee 1992, after they laid me out!" Adam called out and he turned and saw 24 teenagers at that with a beyond recognizable symbol.
"I just did Rick, but guys, family meeting here, because with the sextet here for school now, it's district boundaries and learning past history, between us and them now." Charlie called back to him and the 10 nodded in relief he said that. "But still Captain, though not wearing it guys, so I'm in a POD starting now, but never mind, I don't need it to prove I'm Captain. As you listen to me anyway here, but just let Peter have it if they return." he said and they nodded, smiling.
"Yeah that's an understatement, we listen to you over the trouble maker now." Guy called back and he nodded. "Guys, we're the splitting you six down the middle: Julie, Dwayne, Russ on me, guys, you're with Adam, but color teams, I'm Red squad, he's White!" he called out and the 16 nodded to the decision then, smiling. "Instead of Goodwill Games, it's now intersystem practice, and the team Captains are taking shifts here, 2-way hockey." Orion said and Gordon chuckled.
"Well that's one way to prove it, even though not wearing it he's still Captain of the team, but he never changed, he just grew up, but duckling in his teenage body, his down faded. Feathers growing in now, and he's slowly turning white, one door shuts, another opens. New Coach, under new managment, but not new at all, you're my assistant Coach and my best friend. The 11 know you and love you like another father, to Charlie, you are." he said and Orion smiled.
"Whoa, oh I know what this is about, if they try to revoke our scholarships, oh boys, Tammy, looks who's here guys, Coach!" Connie shouted and Gordon turned and saw their version with his ex coach, turned rival and crossed his arms. "Ted, Reilly's here, it's chapter 3, Ralph's movie now." he said and Coach Ted Orion nodded sternly. "And my son is playing the part of Daniel Larusso, were it not for the fact your training, said is getting a few added pointers to it now."
"But said egg metaphor and Charlie and I are going on the same wave length in 2-way hockey now, but Adam, we got company, Reilly just showed up son." he called out and the 10 turned and crossed their arms sternly. "We got a grudge match guys, chapter 3, The Karate Kid, only Charlie's playing the part of Daniel, after realizing he been tricked by Kreese." Adam said and the 10 crossed their arms as they looked at their hometown rivals, as the sextet nodded.
"So you know these guys?" Julie Gaffney asked and the 10 nodded sternly. "They're the local version of the Vikings, Cat, but though they're good, we're better. Because we never held onto what our previous taught us, but looks like our new coach is…, oh my god. Guys, guys look, age Charlie 20 years, who do you see." Connie Monroe said and the quintet looked and smiled then. "We're being trained by Charlie's biological father, awesome!" Lester Averman said at that news.
"They just figured it out, they can't wait, dad." Charlie said and he smiled at the news. "Never needed to hear the words, just put you next to me and age you 20 years, it's easy to see it. Yes alright now this makes more sense at the moment, the sextet don't know who the 24 are. But the 11 of you do and Adam just revealed the truth, they're Jared team, but now the J.V.. Said is none other then the other Banks in the family, and his best friend and their team right now."
"But if they never took my training and you do, and you're going to wipe the floor with these hotshots." Orion said and he nodded sternly as he leaned against his shoulder at that, and the 24 all paled at that response, realizing he was connecting to their ex coach then beyond quickly. And Charlie had removed his C without any arguing. "Yeah they're getting scared now, realizing something is very wrong here, they don't realize you're like me, Ted." he said and then said it.
"Guys, Connie, we were right, the title is real, I been calling him dad for 4 years, before the title became true, but the Coach is my biological, my real name is Charlie Theodore Orion. The gang is back together, 4 years sooner then we expected, our parents gang!" he shouted out and the 16 nodded as their parents looked from him to Orion and smiled in delight at that. "Like his father labeled it, him, Gordon, me, Claire, David, Joey and Rick, to you guys, kids now."
"So that's Charlie, you Jesse, Connie, Lester, Adam, Greg and Guy, you guys are us in everything that counts." Jesse's father said and they crossed their arms. "Well aside from you, dad and Uncle Ted, rather then Coach, but uncle Ted now for us here. Is we just choose someone matching the rest of the quartet, Terry's double and Aunt Jane and Uncle Peter." Adam said and he nodded in agreement then, as he crossed his arms sternly then at this reveal.
"Oh you couldn't have picked a better time then that to tell us here, so we walked right into his father, and these brats that just arrived are the Varsity's younger brother's. So like Charlie would say, we got two problems and the second is possibly his rival." Russ's father said smiling sternly and Jason Hall nodded crossing his arms. "The bigger problem is a revenge tactic here, Charlie bilked them for this year's tuition, totaling in $162,000." he said and the sextet nodded.
"Plus another $33,000 for medical recovery, shared between their family and mine, because this made up for their putting my son in the hospital out of desperation to win that game, in 1992. Just before the 1992-1993 season started." Banks added and he nodded as he crossed his sternly and at that news. "Like I said, if we get those little reprobates, Peter and David, back on the team, at first only I could control them, and now I got help." Hall said and they nodded.
"Long story and we can show you the tape that the cops created of Charlie's declaration to the leader of the Varsity and his friends brothers." Hall said and he nodded. "That's Aunt Casey's twin brother and my father Mr. Tyler, the man looking like Gary Busey, that's my dad. They investigated the attack at the quarry, before they're trying to kill us by bi-secting." Tammy Duncan said and he nodded as Gordon's eyes narrowed as he called out to Banks then.
"Phil, would this be connected to what you told me here, Adam's brother was a Hawk, his friends are all Hawks, it's this, but Ted was trying to teach them pro hockey, deprogramming. But never worked and he gets better results with Adam and Charlie!" Gordon shouted out at that and Philip Banks nodded gently and the 10 straightened at that news. "Hoping for better results with us, but they dragged along their Hawks training, and you were trying to break the brainwashing."
"But no go, but they were 6.5 years Hawks from the time they were 10, we grew up Ducks, but our black belts, if we were Karate experts now, are adding the stripes to them." Tommy Duncan shouted from across the yard and Orion nodded and Charlie crossed his arms. "No you're red belts right now, this summer is promotion to the next rank up." Orion said and she and the 9 nodded in understanding. "Just remember what I taught you guys." he added and they nodded.
"We do and back with the schedule again now, but those idiots don't want the schedule, they want the freedom. But we're not kids, little ducklings anymore, time to grow up, and we have, we're not covered in down, but covered in feathers." Guy said to that gently. "Dad, were you hoping for better results, because these guys dragged along their training. From the peewees, what they were conditioned with by their previous coach?" he asked and Orion nodded sternly.
"I know the conditioning, because I suffered through it, like Gordon did son, but yanking free I turned into a Duck and became who I am as a result. But seeing you as you are, I see an easy interesting coaching catch, you're not closed to everything I have to teach you." he said and Charlie nodded smiling. "Pop quiz then?" he suggested and Orion nodded. "Where is the one place you never want to clear the puck?" he asked and he smiled as he answered him then.
"That's right behind the goal itself, on both sides or directly behind it, otherwise there could be a pile up and someone could get hurt if the gloves are not on and all the way here. And to answer the other question if Peter has you so ticked you throw the puck at the bulletin board. It takes less then a second to score that goal, that means there is no lead that is safe, if you don't. Now, play defense, and we're keeping it on a straight shut out or up to 5, starting now in truth."
"But doesn't matter how many we make, the only number is 0, to 5, as in total shut out, but he's a dead man if he blows our image, in front of the entire school now." he said and Orion smiled. "Spend 6 months working on us, when's the first game?" he asked and he smiled. "School starts in September, but the first game is 2 weeks in, but more then coach, but dad now, that I get severely territorial right now in this case at the moment, kiddo and with that."
"Yeah this will work, you understand, adapt and now you're a teenage to pre college age duck, taking what I suggest and we knock them out of the rink. But dead duck walking gentlemen, while you refused to conform, the Ducks will." he said and he saw them. "Time's up, these idiots never learned everything they should have from you, Ted, but mixing his hockey style. And into martial arts training, works really well here, but I guess the Hawks never considered it now."
"But shedding you're down for feathers, you started a new journey in life, not a duckling, but a young teenage duck now." Casey said and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah and the symbol means family and stability, but as dad's lecture went, the ability to attack life. Nothing stays the same forever, that you have to be ready for whatever strange bounces life throws you. But Wearing it or not, I am the true leader of the 17 of us." he said and they nodded smiling gently.
"We're Jumbo Pekin Ducks, the Jumbo Pekin duck represents purity and innocence, the bird is adored in many religions for its elegant look and kind attitude, and it is. Frequently considered a symbol of tranquility, peace, and spiritual progress." Charlie explained and she nodded. "Hence the white jersey, we're, if we were a martial arts expert, everything that they're not. But white means peace, tranquility and spiritual progress, but the Hawk now, like the Cobra here now."
"Represent emphasizes speed, striking in additional to holding, and moving in after the opponent's first two strikes. Going to martial arts training now, and you could combine both together now for this, since we never start these things. And you being our sensei dad, as to that, Duck is a Sub-style of Crane Kung Fu now. A legendary Chinese martial art as renowned for its grace, agility, and balance as it is for its powerful highly toughened angular strikes now."
"Crane masters train extensive kicking, leg controls, maneuvers and high level shin and foot toughening." he said and Orion nodded. "Hence the Duncans and Kenny with their ability to figure skate, I get it, but don't go looking for trouble as that causes more trouble." he said and Charlie nodded. "And these guys are Cobras in every sense of the word, they're based on strength and meeting force with an opposing force here, now soft Karate here now, in truth."
"Is basically what Miyagi was teaching Ralph, speed and agility, we're faster then they are, but when your opponent is bigger then you are, and far stronger. Then use that against them, if we were martial art experts right now, I'm captain of the entire dojo. In the current class and we're teaching this to white belts, teaching it to Karen's class. So no one goes out looking for trouble, after the cartoon over did it." he said and Gordon chuckled at the and nodded in agreement
As Charlie saw a group of 25 18 years olds dressed in varsity jackets, over their school uniforms and he crossed his arms, now seeing it for what it was. "That's Jared's team, he and Scooter always considered the duo jerks, saying Riley and Cole this or Riley and Cole that. What were these idiots doing if you're ready to get that physical with these idiots. Because he touches Connie, she's going to hammer him into the rink, before we do the rest and leave you."
"With the left overs here?" he said and he crossed his arms. "Despite saying stay clear of the toxic chemicals, they still won't, that we have to arrest these brats 50 times in 3 years. But I'm a mixture of Riker and his gold uniformed counterpart, the gold fighting it out. And with the red during the bar brawl in that episode, but that kid looked no older then 23. The gold was like us and your mother, Gordon and me are 34, bordering 35." he said sternly and he nodded then.
"Mom, do you and the coach see what I see with his team with their helmets off." Charlie said and she nodded. "Derek Cole, Tim Riley, Clark Patterson, Philip Brown, Jerome Larson and Daniel McGill." Orion said and he nodded. "Their brothers are Jackson Riley, Anthony Cole, Jake Brown, Alexander Patterson, Jason McGill and Christopher Larson. That's the current Hawks starting line up, both age groups, but Jared and Adam are Ducks." he said and he nodded then.
"And even tribes turn on each other, but one year separation, is plenty, with you better results." he said sternly to him. "Way better, but the eggs we were in learning a case of soft karate, by sending the puck gently at each other. The first got shot a little too hard and covered his sweater in yolk." he said and Orion nodded. "Well there was a double standard son, but think about it, what is our breed bred for?" he asked and he nodded. "Ew." he said in disgust then.
"Alright that's it, I'm never eating duck again!" they heard in response and he nodded sternly. "I know and no kidding, our breed is bred for food and we're eatable poultry here now. But I think rather then a normal sized one, we're…" Charlie said and his eyes landed on full sized one, who looked at him with a gentle smile in his eyes and he gave a 'hello' quack to him and he smiled then. "Hey Donald, nice to meet you." he said and he gave a second quack gently at that.
"Are you the flock that dropped in, you and the 17, including Plucky?" Charlie asked and he gave a quack gently. "So you are the flock leader, you did that on purpose, so we can see ourselves as real Ducks, but we're a humanoid you." he said and he gave a gentle quack with a smile in the tone. "Nice to meet you, but you're like my father, we're teenage Ducklings, no older then your oldest duckling flock, my sister is your current baby flock." he said and he quacked gently.
"Was that your duckling that was standing next to my mother?" he asked and he gave a 'yes' quack. "Decided to designate yourselves our mascot, huh, we never changed, since we became humanoid Pekins in our district, our side of the farm. But seeing you up close, I know this was you're the leader of the flock, well my father duck. Is a fully adult Pekin, I'm still growing my wings in, and I'm turning white right now, my flock with me." he said and smiled as he said it.
"You mind?" he asked and he gave a fourth gently and waddled over for a pet and he ran his hand through his neck feathers. "Lord 15% bigger then a normal Pekin, your breed are what us human ducks call a jumbo Pekin. But you're double the size of your smaller counterpart, making your eggs the size of goose eggs now." he said and he gave a gentle quack to that reveal. "Yeah metaphor with the eggs, we're ducklings playing black circle, and that's a strategy for said."
"Defense practice in black circle, my papa duck, looking like big me, is a retired pro duck of black circle, I'm his teenage duckling self now. My duckling flock are my friends, but your name, what I just called you is the name of your animated counterpart. He dresses in blue with a red scarf around the neck and a blue beret cap on the head. But if he was real then animated, he's looking just like you, so Donald Duck." he said and he gave a quack of understanding then.
"The name Donald okay, boy?" Orion asked and he gave a quack with a smile in the tone. "I'll take that for a yes and you boy, are very handsome." Casey said and he gave a gentle quack to the compliment. "That's a thank you, so this is you full size then, Donald, you are what we call a jumbo pekin Duck." he said and he gave a quack to the news. "In truth we are, in our side of the farm, a human you in truth, the youngest are hatchlings, to ducklings, the juveniles."
"Like my new flock in black circle, just shed their down and replaced it with feathers and their wings are growing in." Orion said and he gave an understanding quack to the news. "But you're double the size of a normal Pekin, and about 5 pounds heavier than your smaller counterpart. Full size now, so if this is you full size, how big are your ducklings?" Charlie asked and he gave a quack and nodded to the group on the far side of the lawn and he saw a gosling sized duckling.
As he saw him with his feathers puffed out and saw a glistening on his back feathers and nodded gently as he gently stroked his back and down his neck. 'Yeah he fluffed right now, water cold and fluffed out his feathers to dry out.' he thought smiling as he said it. "He went for a dip and the water is still freezing up here, that he immediately fluffed to dry out and warm up." he said and his parents nodded with a chuckle. "Yeah like I would after a swim." Orion said with a smile.
"Just came from the lake huh, no wonder you fluffed, the water is still cold enough us human ducklings can't swim, to us too cold, so we wait for it to get warmer." He said smiling and he gave a quack. "Fluffed?" a little girl rolling over to them said gently. "After a swim in cold weather, they puff out their feathers to stay warm, we maybe in the middle of March. But the water is still pretty cold here, so after coming out of it, he fluffed out." he said and she nodded.
"He's huge." a little girl said and he smiled. "A jumbo Pekin, we're jumbo Pekins in human form baby, want to get rough, we're great swimmers and good at dodging the attacks. If that's a full sized one, where is…" he started to say and saw a bunch of ducklings crowded around a slightly smaller then the one that greeted him and he smiled. "That's us now, mom, dad, but you're the den mother of the team, we get Ms. Mckay back involved and Uncle Eric we're good to go here."
"Hey boy, that your wife and family." he said and he turned to look at the other full sized one and the ducklings and he bobbed his head as he gave a 'yes' quack gently. "Quack!" they heard and he saw the 17 and he chuckled. "Plucky, guys." he said and they gave a quack then. "Well there's you guys at your current age, so if that's them, where is Huey and his own flock. Reason being, because in human years they're 3 years old and got a few weeks till they're in mini."
"And get their capes right now." Orion said, before they got the answer to that question, as one of them gave a peep to Charlie, and started waddling closer. "Huey?" Charlie asked and he gave a 'yes' peep and he smiled as he crouched. "Alright you little fluffball, come on." he said and he gave a happy peep, and waddled over, as he moved to him and he stroked his down. "Yeah that says he thinks you're his human, he likes you." Gordon said with a smile as they watched him.
"Why Huey?" he asked with a peep and they chuckled. "Huey in human form is actually short for hugh, but in your case, with you being a Duckling. When we started out, we realized after our storyline was bought out by a company that has one of their mascots a duck. Said duck has a trio of triplets, all boys, one in dressed in red, but you look like your brother. And when I found him, but add a red cap, you're him as a baby." he said and he peeped and turned his head then.
"Your oldest brother was named that when we found your father, your him as a hatchling, he was a duckling when I named him. But first him, then Plucky and now you, so Huey junior, but your color in designation. In order to tell you apart from your siblings is red, your namesake is red in capes, but you're matched to me. So you belong to me." he said and he gave a peep as he turned his head and she chuckled as he ran his head under Charlie's hand and he smiled.
"But the second reason is our storyline got taken on by a company, who's second male mascot is a jumbo pekin, your breed, that's what you are: a jumbo pekin hatchling. His name is Donald Duck, he, his wife and his nephews and their adopted sister. Are the nephews and adopted niece of an elderly duck, in this version of rich, but he's what we call. An archeologist, the triplets are color coded: red, blue and green now." he said and Huey gave a peep of understanding then.
"But we're you in humanoid form, our original capes as ducklings had a jumbo pekin playing black circle, at our current age, we shifted it to hockey mask shaped into a duck bill. But as animated duck, but as a real, this is what you look like, once you change colors." he said and put a picture of himself as a juvenile in front or him, and he looked at him. "I look like Plucky, but a baby version of him." He said with a peep. "Well color coded." he said and he peeped.
"You are a cute little guy, but I guess you were listening about my telling them about my ex playmates and about said bad joke?" he asked and he gave a peep. "Well the reason is because when I look at you I see what they nearly did, if that was a real egg. And rather then flat sweet smelling board us human ducks eat, that's why I threw them off out of the flock. What if that was a real egg, they could have killed your sibling or a member of his own flock now here."
"Out of a sadistic prank, I grew up, I'm an adult duckling inside my going on 3.5 month old body, my friend with me. The fact that what if it was a real egg, that still haunts me, but sweet smelling board shaped like a rabbit or chicken egg. And the yellow, it has a lot of red to it, and worse the white shell, upon realizing this, I nearly winged them." he said gently and he peeped gently in understanding and he stroked his back down and he rubbed his head against his hand.
"Translation, upon realizing what it was you just saw and realized here, you nearly beat Karp senseless, as this is not only sadistic, it's pure blasphemy as well." Gordon said and he nodded sternly and Casey sighed at that response then. "I know the possibility traumatized you and you're not getting over it any time soon, but it didn't happen. That's all that matters, son, you grew up and you're nothing like those hellions now." Orion said gently and he nodded then.
"Because I had you, not only my dad, but a constant coach for 5 years." he said and they nodded and Lester Averman crossed his arms. "Yeah I agree with him, were it not for you, we'd become those two idiots, as your remark on juvenile hall becomes the punchline. We're not kids, little ducklings anymore, time to grow up and we have now, but we love you guys. We'd gladly play for you the rest of our careers, if we had the chance now." he said and Orion nodded.
"Stay at our sides forever I get it guys, you're not ready to leave the nest right now, issues in the side effects of attachment when your players grow too attached to you. Fortunately it's different now, instead of simply 'the Coach', it's 'dad and the Coach'." he said and they nodded. "Yeah that's how we feel, the time is coming short where we have to leave the nest, but though teenage ducks, on the inside still feel like ducklings." Charlie said, looking between them gently.
"I know guys, I know, but we finish out your last 5 years together, while I'm training your sister and possible cousin and their team." Gordon said and they nodded. "At least you're sticking around a little longer instead of leaving immediately, and start the next generation. And of the team we were your first and we became 1st degree black belts in the way of the Duck. As for said disgusting prank and Charlie told me what he realized." he said and Charlie finished that.
"I been confiscating that prank repeatedly ever since, dad." he said and Orion nodded. "Young man how many times we got to arrest you for that, before your luck runs out exactly?" Sergeant Derek Jacobs said sternly and he nodded in agreement. "Issues in our family huh Derek, in addition to you and me, we now got Peter getting involved in this." he said and Jacobs nodded in agreement. "Gordon, this is my brother-in-law, Derek Jacobs." he said and Gordon nodded.
"So your son is part of my incoming squad, Derek?" he asked and Jacobs nodded. "Jerry Jacobs, if Karen was still walking, she's #96." he said and he chuckled and nodded, smiling then. "Well after I do you guys, that's his number is getting deactivated and we switch numbers. And start over with some new ones right now, but you, you little fluffball are getting your numbers. And Matched to whoever connected to your flock, as you belong to Charlie." he said and he peeped.
"But you're, in truth, 3 years old human years, boy, give it a few weeks, you enter mini black circle, and get your cape, this one." he said, showing him the cape of their peewee jersey and he gave a happy peep to that. "With you this young and our brother's cat living with me with his owners out till the second game of black circle when training school starts. You have to wait till game 3 and then I bring you home, but for now you're a hatchling." Charlie said to him then.
As he sat there in front of them. "I'm his duckling counterpart, well Huey's a good name now, I like red." he said and she chuckled at that. "Cute little guy, he's adorable." Orion's wife said and she nodded smiling in agreement then. "Rex or Huey actually son, but Rex, that's Latin for King now, you're the very concept of what it means to be a true leader. Peterson never gained the maturity or the wisdom that comes with the position, you have now, as for Huey there."
"He's your's evidently, he chose you, but pet him and he likes it so much, he wanted to be petted every time he sees you." Orion said with a chuckle then. "Hey guys, new strategy in defense, remember said egg metaphor, if not fertilized, well the strategy just shifted. Two way hockey, our said training puck is the egg now, baby out of the basket." he called out and the 8 nodded to him gently at that news, knowing what he was telling him then at that news then.
"Guys, we're Pekins alright, but we're jumbos." he said and they nodded. "Father duck is a full sized one, we're ducklings growing our feathers in." she said in response gently and he nodded smiling. "Explains the reason our jerseys are now white, we're growing our feathers in, and our wings, time to take flight this school term, guys!" he called out and the 16 nodded smiling. "The Warriors die and the Ducks fly, Hawks!" he shouted out and the college group all paled at that.
"Hey guys, look who came for the ceremony?" he said and the team saw a family of Pekin ducks and everyone started laughing. "There we go, we're part of their flock and one of their own gets into, to them, red rock school, the others are coming with." his adopted sister said laughing at that and Orion nodded with a chuckle. "Let me try something." Gordon said as he pulled his whistle. "Quack!" he said through it and the Ducklings said it. "Peep." they all said together.
As the adult male nodded with a smile in his eyes. "My ducklings are no older then your sister was when you got found Duckling, but your down is fading and you're turning white now." he said with a quack and the team nodded. "So we're nearly there, if this is how big you get, is it 1 to 2 months to be fully grown?" he asked and he said it gently. "We reach full size, as our breed in 7 months, you, from the look of you, are 3.5 months." he said then with a quack then gently.
"So 3.5 months, that's 14 in human duck terming, so we're full size by the time we reach college, which is the final stage of training school." Orion said to translate and he gave a 'yes' quack. "Then I'm your age boy, he's my duckling, and the rest of our flock are the other Ducklings he was talking to. But we're our own family flock, as the others have families of their own, but more than a flock now, but my friend duck he's my son's godfather duck now."
"If you see them dressed in these feathers, we play black circle, but our original jerseys were pre current black circle, the ducklings are entering training school black circle. Gone white and are my incoming flock, but raised my ducklings as I trained them now. The two girl ducklings, and the other 8 boys next to my own are my hometown flock, and the sextet new additions. But training for black circle, I'm retired." he said to him and he gave a gentle quack to the news.
"Black circle, I keep hearing a clang during cold weather season, is that black circle?" he asked and Orion nodded gently. "Yeah it is, but new training method, protecting the egg from ending up on hot surface for food." he said and they both nodded sternly. "Point made friend, point made, and touch my babies, you vultures, you're getting winged, hands off." he said with a warning quack then. "Yeah that ticked him off." they heard and he looked up at his friend's son.
"You hear that tone enough from me anyway, Jesse." his father said and Orion nodded in agreement then. "No kidding and hey, Jace'." he called out and the man smiled at the return of his nickname then. "I take it that's short for Jason?" one of the sextet's parents asked and he nodded. "It is and that's Jason Hall, Jesse's father." Gordon said smiling and he nodded. "You never got to meet the 8 in the last round, but it's time for both sides to come together now."
"Hence the crossed sticks, old duck and new ducks, but our black jerseys revealed." Charlie said and he nodded. "De-age them 4 years, I'm looking at our version, baby, these guys are all Hawks." Casey said and he nodded. "More than Hawks, they're the big brothers to Adam's ex trio and their team, mom, that's what Phil meant. Jared was a Hawk, all his ex friends are Hawks, Reilly, head coach Jack Reilly, District 6: The Hawks." he said and he crossed his arms.
"We better explain this to the guys and Julie, before they start picking on them right now, but their beef is with the hometown flock and not the extended." Charlie said and Averman nodded in stern agreement. "That's an understatement right now at the current moment, but why just us, why not the entire 8th grade in this academy, what is so different about us?" he asked and they all paled, realizing that was a convincing argument ad they saw the judge and went white.
"Well, well, well, so I guessed right, you and the Hawks are one and the same, you're their older brothers, well guys, looks like this is round 2 between us, one last time. To make this more interesting guys, you got two chances, the first is a post season-season between us. The second is and will be the showdown between us right now, so we win, you wait till next year. And the mascot changes to us, you win and we start at the same time." Charlie called out to them.
And he nodded to the decision. "One last chance." the judge said in finality then. "Fair enough and that works well, like Adam said this is The Karate Kid part III, you're Ralph. And after he was cleansed of Silver's killer demeanor training." Orion said and Gordon nodded in agreement to his opinion. "And 7 months training and training every day should help." Charlie said to him and he nodded. "Four days practice, practice game on Fridays." he said in response then gently.
"Funny thing about it, but if Reilly can't defeat us based on our unorthodox methods and Stanton is a disgraced pro and even he can't defeat us, what does this say." Gordon said sternly and Orion nodded. "Tim until the showdown stay away from us, we're following dad's orders and you heard me right, dad. Supposedly no father, well as he said, as soon after 6 months the title changes and I'm not calling him anything else now, my Coach, my father, my mentor."
"I'm Captain wearing it or not, dad, so with the fact I handed it over now, so Tim want to see how a real captain should act here right now. I'm not picking a fight with us being surrounded by adults ready to take action, as I never. Never, lose my temper enough to break anything, so what's first exactly hmm, you destroy my locker room. And my friends freeze your coat, and without realizing you blow the psyche?" he asked and the Varsity captain paled at that remark.
"Ouch, yeah we freeze their jackets and he realizes it was us, and then in one shot blows the psyche by destroying his jacket in fury, that stuff takes 10 hours to wear off." Russ said sternly and Orion nodded. "I'm the junior/senior chemistry teacher boys, so said tank is coming from my classroom, room 203, second floor." he said and he nodded. "Got it Coach, we can just report in, in case of trouble, you're our guardian now." Julie Gaffney said and he nodded gently.
"Nothing's changed, we've gone from yellow to growing our feathers and wings in now, but dad is the new head coach, and we got our school staff now too, in Mrs Mckay and Jenkins." he said and the sextet nodded smiling at the news. "I take it Jenkins is the team driver huh?" Russ asked and he nodded. "Yeah it is, but as for things right now, he, the coach, is my father, my biological father, so that solves that, the me you remember when you met me is right here."
"Nothing's changed and won't till after college, so though teenage ducklings, we're going to be fine, but his coaching tone is that of a normal father with his students. Parents you the way he does me now, so expect his reaction to Peter injuring me that of a father beyond ticked off. And that's Coach for…" he started to say and Orion completed the sentence sternly. "Young man, that reaction was uncalled for, I get you miss your old coach, but we already watched you here."
"In jeopardizing your career here, we're not letting you do it to your studies, just cool down, and the rest of you, just clean up the mess the Varsity caused in here. Charlie, you're in charge till I get back in here." he said and the team nodded gently. "But everything's fine, don't worry guys, we'll be fine, but if Han's time is close, then that showdown game is for him now. We're staying right here, but stand tall, let's fly straight, we're going all the way to the top, let's fly, guys."
"Quack!" Charlie called out and they smiled. "Quack, quack, quack, quack." the entire team and their fans started chanting and Orion smiled. "Guys, we're not ducklings anymore, our down faded to feathers and we're white now, it's time to let go. He belongs to my cousin, sister and their team now, we have dad and we learn things they don't teach in the peewees. But all of you listen to me though not wearing them, we're still Ducks, so I'm creating a new look for us now."
"And one that matches the colors of the school, okay, we keep our original color, this one, but adding red to cherry red to it now!" Charlie called out and they nodded. "What we got, Charlie?" Orion asked and he explained that. "Red arms and bottom, white chest with the symbol on the chest, that's the away games jersey. And all red with the white on the arms and the symbol on the chest, with the home games now." he said and Orion nodded smiling at the concept then.
"But the current jerseys are for the showdown, the new ones are school involved, we grew up, and we became a school team, as we had two copies of each version. That the first belongs to the school and the one we're going to be dressed in now, starting now. Is our's alone, and you're getting your own version to the sweater jacket, in both versions. Just with the school initials on it." he said and Orion nodded smiling then as he answered him gently at that idea.
"So two versions of my sweater, both have our symbol on the back of it, but the school initials on my right shoulder, indicating I'm the new leader. And head coach of the Mighty Ducks now, yeah okay that works, the 11 of you have been with me so long. That the transition is beyond easy, it's the sextet I need to worry about, but looks like Russ is the first." he said and Charlie and Russ nodded in agreement as Fulton Reed and Lester Averman crossed their arms, smiling.
"Yeah, but the three of us are his side of the team: Red squad, along with the Halls, Fulton and Les' now." Russ said and he nodded. "Fair enough, we can do that." he said as Gordon smiled. 'Yeah same old Ducks, there's the Charlie I know, he's going to a new way to handle this.' he thought smiling then. "But with us a mixture of movie 1 and 2, and under the same roof now, I'm getting your tutor and driver back, and we're working with Jan, as we do the 6 months."
"In working out the kinks, but yeah, I am your new coach you 6, the 11 knew me for 4 years, like before, only I don't tolerate attitude. But that 'one for all, all for one' catch, we're not doing that, you side with the trouble maker, you get boxed, understood." Orion called out and they nodded in understanding. "Well that prevents anymore mutiny, but better adjustment, like I said Mrs. Madigan's sister is my principal, but she, Parker and the coaches knew me for years."
"As I'm all dad talks about, since we found each other, but that story you would hear is actually Stanton now, over the punching out a fan before punching out his coach. Dad retired, because of my sister, guys, this is my sister Karen and my stepmother Kimberly." Charlie said and they nodded. "Nice to meet you Mrs. Orion, baby sister." Russ said smiling and they nodded. "Baby, these are my new team mates: Russ Tyler, Dean Portman, Julie Gaffney, Kenny Wu."
"Luis Mendoza and Dwayne Robertson, they're the new additions to the flock." he said and she nodded, smiling. "Nice to meet you guys, Julie." she said smiling and they nodded gently. "You know my mother Casey, that's Jason Hall and his brother Wes, Claire Monroe, David Germaine. Rick Averman, Joseph Goldberg, Andrew Reed, Philip Banks and Jane and Peter Duncan, our parents and Jenkins are your guardians with you here." he said and the sextet nodded smiling.
"Label out, but Cowboy, you, Russ and Cat are my side, Dean, you, Kenny and Luis are Adam, and that's not if Peter and Karp come back. So while Adam is undercover on the Varsity, Peter is holding the new green ranger position. So just say what Austin would say if a fight broke out between Jason and this idiot over fighting the monster and we don't have time for this." Charlie said and Russ nodded. "Are you really choosing now to do this?!" Dean said in shock to that.
"No kidding, are you just choosing now to start the fight, when Charlie is giving us orders in the test run of our first school game here, Peter?!" Russ said sternly and Orion nodded. "Alright that's enough, you boys have orders, now that's enough, Charlie you just go with it. Go with your plan son, you had it longer, you know what to do." he said and Charlie nodded. "Sure thing dad, but guys, stand tall and flight straight, let's rock." he said and the sextet smiled gently.
"What's that mean, big brother?" his sister asked and he smiled. "Just considering his arguing with me, before the game starts right now, but our new strategy. Said is we're showing off for two periods, and then period 3, we're letting them get in a few shots now. Before it's enough playing around and we slam hard on defense, so swapping Goalies, Julie!" he said and she nodded as Orion smiled at the idea. "Keeping me fresh, I get it." she said smiling at the plan.
"Greg, you got till we get it to a certain number in goals, new coach, so strategy switches here, I'm revamping the entire training course this off-season, before school starts!" he called out and the 10 nodded to the orders then as Greg Goldberg nodded smiling. "And these idiots have no idea who they're screwing with now, you're so good, we're going to destroy them. Once we use his training for the off-season playing season." Kenny Wu said smiling and he smiled then firmly.
"And like you said man, you're captain wearing it or not, we only listen to you now, so if that hotshot and his accomplice returns to the team. And it's you say this, or you say that, you, you, you, you." Russ said and Dwayne Robertson and Julie nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you're our leader, wearing it or not, it's not the symbol of authority, but the tone and attitude. You show your authority in everything you do on the rink or off it." she said and he crossed his arms.
"Hans!" he called out and their mentor, who was his godfather's own godfather walked over. "You doing okay?" he asked and the man nodded smiling. "Charlie, it's going to be close, I got a year at most, Jan is taking over the shop." he said and Charlie nodded. "I understand, but I got some very good news, turns out our new coach is my father, and with it. Mrs. Rosen's sister works here." he said and he nodded. "Nothing's going to change." he said and Charlie nodded.
"I can do this easily, but if it's reached that time, that game is for you now, we're staying here." he said and Hans nodded. "As I would have said, you can do this, the symbol means nothing, the authority behind it, means everything. Keep the team together, you are the heart, soul and moral compass, guide them, like Gordon and I have you." he said and Charlie nodded, as he hugged him tightly and Orion nodded gently. "I love you grandpa." he said and Hans nodded.
"I love you too Charlie, you are my pride, take care of them and your father." he said and he nodded. "I'm still doing my part time job at the shop again here, so with practice everyday, I'm working 9 to 2 on weekends now." he said and he nodded in understanding. "I understand and that's fine right now, I get to see you every weekend." he said and Orion nodded. "The cancer got diagnosed 18 months ago, they gave him 18 months to 3 years." Casey said to him gently.
"Hans's condition is in it's last 8 months, he's got till Christmas at most, so that showdown game, that's for him, this is for Hans, we stay in school, we stick together. That last game is in his memory, for Hans." Charlie said and the team nodded. "For Hans." they all said together and Orion nodded. "Like me Coach Orion, his is level 4, he's got less then a year left, so if he finally passes before the showdown, this is for him now." Winny Banks said and he nodded gently then.
"And that just says even more you're the captain of the team, giving the guidance necessary to hold things together, but like your mother said, son. Things are bad with Peterson and David back on the team, they just keep getting worse. And it doesn't help that your grandfather is dying right now anyway, so that's enough of this already." he said and he and the entire team nodded. "Guys." he said and the team nodded sternly and Gordon nodded in agreement then.
"We got two problems this upcoming season, if the duo return to the team, and it doesn't help matters when Grandpa is dying right now, we stick together. So 1) after starting school we stay clear of the Varsity, if they want to press their luck it's warning them off. But leave the Banks's and Scooter Holland alone now guys, and secondly here right now. Dad and I are trying to control those idiots, but things are bad and just keep getting worse, don't lose it here now."
"I get injured, Adam takes my place on the rink, I'm calling out our play orders and he takes over in leading you guys till the showdown, we're still us. The same old Ducks, nothing's changed and won't till after college, if he passes, before the end of the semester. This game is in his honor right now, we're Ducks and we fly together, forever." he said and they all nodded then. "Done Cap', done, we stick together, fly together." Russ said for all of them at that gently.
"These idiots are the older brothers to my version guys, so if you find this in their lockers." he said, passing them a young adult version to the Hawks winter coat. "Then you know why they're always picking on us, they're Varsity Hawks, Adam's brother is a retired Hawk. As is Scooter Holland, the boy next to an older version of Adam." he said and they nodded. "And the man Han's age?" Russ asked and he crossed his arms. "Coach Jack Reilly." he said and he nodded.
"Like dad told you, these idiots were taught to win, the last idiot that we had, before Coach took us on, had a heart attack, but the same concept as the troop leaders of Shelley's team. Nobody ever had the time nor patience to train us, till we reach our current stage, but dad, Bombay. Our mentors, took an active interest in our lives, and we changed as a result, but Reilly now. He's a demented psychopath claiming winning is all that matters." he said and the sextet nodded then.
As Orion squeezed his shoulder paternally in response. "And to repeat this now, in your subtext, we don't have to like it here, scholarships don't always come by. So we make sure we keep them, not by any means necessary, just stick to both sides of the scholarship. Our grades are enough to keep us here, our SAT's through the roof, high enough to get into the best colleges. In the country, but they take one of us, they take all of us." he said and the sextet smiled then.
"But nothings changed, we have each other, we have him, and we just get Ms. Mackay and same as normal, so them, Jan and Jenkins, nothings changed and won't till college. Same old us right now, everything's fine, but those boneheads back on the team. Things inside the team are bad, they just keep getting worse by trying dad's patience, and it doesn't help. That we're being picked on by the Varsity, we try to keep things together." he said and the sextet nodded gently.
"That or my brother is getting worse, we just try to hold things together." Jan said gently and he nodded. "Jan, like Hans, I could use your help, we're doing a mixture of years 1 and 2, for the next 5 years now, but like he said, he's holding his job at your store." Orion said and he nodded. "Yes that and instead of hours in the rehearsal studios in advertising commercials, we're advertising ourselves, by doing the age level in jerseys and gear." he said and Orion nodded.
"I can handle the kids easily, but next time we head for L.A., I'm bringing along a full staff after you joined in now." he said and Charlie pushed Averman and he grinned at that. "What you want a bet that we got the games again next summer again, and we get recalled here. Only this time the entire team goes, before we got a double decker that year." Russ said and he smiled. "No bet, I don't doubt we will, but stop playing with the damn thing." Orion said and he nodded.
As the parental sextet started laughing. "Guys: Lester, Jesse, Gregory, I mean it, stop playing with the intercoms, I get a call from the cops of practical jokes. And with the radios, you're grounded for a week." he said and they nodded as the girls were shaking in laughter. "I'll handle this, this happened after 2 attempts and he pretended to be the store owner's son. On the third dad, before they got seen and he tried to deflect." Charlie said and he nodded, bemused then.
"Yes and again, I'm not simply the coach on this trip back out there, but dad and the coach, so any pranks or practical jokes, it's going parent, Ducklings. So stop picking on each other and enough of the practical jokes like this." he said and the team nodded. "During the school year I'm your legal guardian guys, so stay out of trouble here." he said and the entire team nodded. "Yes Sir." they all said together and their parents and Casey smiled at the immediate falling in.
"Well C or C, I'm captain of the team, so as I said, are you above violence Tim, huh, because attacking a just turned 14 to 15 year old destroys your image. But answer this, what did we ever do to you, aside from beating your brothers in a fair and square wager. We win, your brothers lose a year and start in the 1997 to 1998 school year. You win, we start at the same time, and this is the last and final time, there is no reversal." he called out and he nodded then.
"Robert!" Orion shouted out to his Varsity counterpart and he nodded to him, knowing what he was trying to say and knew he had to up their training. "But again, if Reilly couldn't beat us after 4 years on our basic training, and Stanton, and he was a disgraced pro player. And even he can't, what does this say about your coach, after 7 months training by a retired pro player." Charlie asked and the Varsity stiffened, realizing in only 7 months they matched them then.
"Reilly's at it again, Captain." Gordon said and he nodded sternly. "Yep, and with that in mind, Jack, you never thought I'd connect the dots. Not after Fulton arrested Chris, Alex and Jason for attempted bisecting?" he asked and he and his version all paled as their parents all went white. "I heard Reilly's remark to you, you blow the game, and nobody makes the team the following term, but we won the championships in year 2 and again year 3, you see us and try murder."
"You realize were it not for the fact Fulton arrested you, instead of us, you could have killed an adult, that stuff is so strong and so thin. It surpasses even the sharpest razor blade, if he never tied the trio to the trio, it wouldn't be us. That hit that cord first, but an adult on a bike, or like us going in-line skating around the park. That was meant to be the starter for new schedule, and instead, you attempted multiple murder here?" Charlie asked and they started shaking.
"Goodwill Games parents you better get over here, you need to know this, before these guys try to revoke them." he said and 6 sets of parents and a older sibling moved to him. "What's up kiddo?" James Russel Tyler asked him and he explained that. "The school is on the edge of Edina, District 6, that's the District to our peewee rivals, the Hawks. Our Varsity counterparts are the big brothers to our version, team code name: Hawks." he said and they nodded then.
"So these brats are the older brothers to your version, hmm?" Derek Gaffney said and he nodded to him. "Yes Sir, but plan is I plan to split the sextet in half, Julie's under me along with Dwayne and Russ, we're the Red team. Kenny, Dean and Luis are with Adam on the White team along with the girls, Tommy, Guy, Greg and Terry. Terry's brother Jesse, Fulton, Averman, the trio and I are the Red team." he said and the adult sextet nodded to the explanation gently.
"We got 17 kiddo." he said and Charlie nodded. "We got a stand in here, so someone gets hurt, and the other fills in till they're recovered." he said and Orion nodded in approval. "Good thinking, you went scouting and came back with Russ that day." Gordon said smiling and Casey chuckled at that. "Yeah team of 17, but Peter and Karp leave they're not coming back, I lead the team dad leads me and the team now, but to explain this guys, in truth over this vendetta now."
"Their head Coach of the Hawks guys, Phil said that Adam's brother was a Hawk, as were his ex friends, only knowing what I'm looking at here right now. Just to know I know why they're trying to revoke it, it's because we destroyed them in the 1992 championship game. Coach was one of his, but he blew the penalty shot where I got it, that second place banner on the wall. 1992, that was us, we beat them for the first time in 19 years." he said and the sextet nodded sternly.
"So we got a personal vendetta here over the fact you beat out their brothers in getting into the academy, hmm, I call that a hate crime if they revoke it for no reason. I saw her brother and the Duncans's father, they're cops." James Russel Tyler said sternly and he nodded. "Yeah comes in handy in truth, Sir, but they got cub duty here at the academy, these guys are Cobras. We're Miyagi's philosophy in karate training, that's being a Duck." he said and they nodded gently.
"The version their brothers know are me and the 7, the Duncans and Terry, to Stanton, it's you 6 and us 8, but now the board has both versions under one roof. Oh dead man walking here right now, I now see this for what it is right now, Jared's team here. Said are the big brothers to my version, you need to break the Hawk Circle, Dean." he said and the headmaster nodded. "Done Sir, done, last season for them, first for us, but the Warriors Die and the Ducks fly now finally."
"Jared, are your team members surnames Patterson, Larson, McGill, Riley, Brown and Cole by any chance?" he said and Jared nodded. "Yeah Charlie, you guessed right buddy, they're my version of your team rivals, but Scooter and me are Ducks. As we conformed to your dad's training, I'm Adam's college bound counterpart, just as good here." he said and Charlie nodded. "Yeah I know, but just one of you evens the playing field, you and Scooter always watched us."
"You knew how good we are, but under dad, you're seeing us reach your level by the end of the summer." he said and and the Varsity paled. "Dang it, alright dad, your ex team are the big brothers of my version, the Hawks, they got so rough. That they put Adam in the hospital, but he told us to kick their buts, we won on a penalty shot after they fouled me. But I got the shot where Coach Bombay didn't now." he said and she and Orion nodded in shocked fury at that.
"They're in shock we beat them the previous season, with no head coach, Uncle Jason was holding his place till he got back, and we won two more times, before reaching the Games. Followed by 2 more years and no matter what they do, just can't beat us right now, but you being our coach…." he started to say and he smiled as he signed to the Dean and he nodded. "I've got your entire 5 years, not leaving you Coach less again." he said and they smiled then.
"So that's why they're trying to pressure the Dean for results, it's because of this now, alright now that I know this, I walk in there, and in the middle of fight. And these brats are getting the drill instructor tone with me, because I told you to stay clear of them. But if Peterson forces a confrontation here, just use your peewee plays, make my point, those plays. They will not work on this level anymore." he said and Charlie nodded to the orders as he read it out to Jared then.
"That's what's this was really about, you raised the bar, they called for a rematch to change it back, but you and Charlie kept it to what Coach taught us, and we won again. So they did it again and we still win, it's permanent?!" Russ said sternly and he and Charlie nodded. "Thanks for the warning, this is a revenge tactic by the board leader, to get their money back!" Julie's father said sternly and Charlie turned and called out to the leader of the board sternly then.
"Riley, so help me god right now, your son is not getting away with his criminal offenses, but we never destroyed anything, caused a riot on campus, came back drunk or whatever!" he called out and the head of the board went pale at that. "But I hear that conversation, you said this was just a publicity stunt, but could wind up killing the school's reputation. Oh really, how about we expose you for the liars you are, by the truth spoken 4 years ago." he said and he paled at that.
"You're a Hawk all of you are, but rather then just offering a little off the top, a measly $600 to $800 each, you went to every option. Every option, but offer a little off the top, paraphrased here is we can't give up everything for the Banks's. So all of this was a publicity stunt, but could wind up killing the school's reputation, we're not the ones that said. In paraphrase to the tax collectors, if she and the others die, then good riddance, so long as we keep our tuition money."
"But you, by saying that just killed this school's reputation and with you, Reilly himself." he said sternly and they all went white then. "But you started the prank wars by picking on my brother, so we spike my lunch, destroy the lock into dad's office. And destroy the locker room, you lose your expensive varsity jackets, leave us to pay for a dinner. That we have no money for, and you're being arrested for starting a brawl with us, after Cole there gets arrested for coming."
"Coming back drunk, your charges way out way our's, if you destroy the pipe to the system keeping it a block of ice right now. But we're bringing more positive influence to this school, more good attention brings more revenue, more money. And more ways to sell the stock in the companies you take stock, so tell me, we do anything illegal?" he said and the board swallowed, realizing he sounded like Orion. "Coach Orion is my dad." he said and they swallowed hard then.
"Yeah they never expected you to react immediately the second you aged these guys, just age Jackson 35 years, he looks like Tom." Banks said sternly and Orion nodded. "Guys to repeat that these idiots are Varsity Hawks, so that's why they're picking on us here now. But the line in the park, them beating the heck out of Adam, if they tried to kill Karen and me. Well let's just say, the team will not stop, till they exact revenge here." Charlie said and the sextet nodded sternly.
As the adult members of their side of the team surrounded him, protectively. "We found that someone blew the ice and then Derek found cherry bombs on these brats.
