History of the Dragon Slayer's Descendants
"Hold on, hold on, hold on! Let me make sure I heard that right, you're saying that all three of you are Dragon Slayers like Shin?" Thor asked freaking out.
"That's right, and the only ones who knows about our little secret are the three adults here in this room." Irene nodded and gestured to Merlin, Melinda, and King Diseum.
"I would also like to inform everyone that my family knows about this as well, including August." Diseum mentioned.
"Then I take it you also knew about me having Dragon Slayer Magic for a while and something else I've picked up from you as well." Shin looked at August.
"I had a high hunch about you, cousin. But that can wait after our Headmistress get on with her story." August said.
"Thank you, your young highness." Irene smiled and started telling the students about her family's lineage.
"As you all know, Dragon Slayer Magic were once magical warriors that are said to have gained the power to slay dragons from actual dragons themselves to battle the evil dragons that want nothing but to destroy those that stood in their way." Irene mentioned.
"I remember that story, they were powerful mages that fought to protect the land while living out their everyday life until one day they vanished after fighting against the last known evil dragon that was said to be most powerful in the world." Julius recalled the story his mother used to tell him before bedtime.
"Indeed, but what no one knew was that there was a survivor Dragon Slayer among the ruin of the battlefield but was greatly injured as he didn't have much time in this world for long. However, this warrior refused to let his death be the end of the Dragon Slayers and luckily, he didn't have worry about that as the woman he mated with gave birth to a child that inherited the warrior's magic." Irene explained.
"And that child also happened to be your ancestor, right?" Shin asked, Irene nods.
"Correct, you could say that we are the descendant of the last Dragon Slayer in the world." Erza said.
"What's more surprising is that we are not only Dragon Slayers by blood, but also have gained different element powers of Dragon Slayer Magic as well." Juvia mentioned.
"Different element, like earth and water and wind?" Maria asked.
"That's right, we each discover them upon our growth in magic training. For me, I'm a Steel Dragon Slayer." Erza showed both her arms turned into steel with scales.
"Whoa, that's amazing." August commented.
"My steel scales are about ten times harder than the strongest armor in the kingdom, and as a Dragon Slayer, I must also eat the element of my magic in order to replenish my powers." Erza said before eating her steel sword in front of her twin sister's classmates.
"Umm, doesn't that hurt when you eat steel like that?" Sizilien asked concern.
"Thank you for your concern, but I've learned that it does not hurt upon first trying because of the Dragon lungs and hardness to withstand them." Erza explained.
"Wait a minute, if you have awesome magical powers then why are you in the Knight division instead of the Magic division?" Maria asked.
"Because I wanted to carry on my father's name as he was once a knight from another country and also to make a name for myself, combining magic of the mage while being that of a knight is my way of following the footsteps of both my parents." Erza answered honestly with pride.
"Okay, that is actually pretty cool." Maria admitted.
"And I couldn't be prouder of my little scarlet knight." Irene smiled.
"Mother, you're embarrassing me." Erza blushed.
"(Wow, she is pretty cute when blushing like that.)" Shin thought commented.
"So, what Dragon Slayer are you, Juvia?" Thor asked curiously to the blue hair young woman.
"I'm a Water Dragon Slayer, as the name suggest, I can perform water magic attacks with the force of a dragon." Juvia answered and form water shape claws on her hands.
"Whoa, remind me never to splash you with water if we ever go to the beach." Maria said.
"There's more to this art than combat, I have also learned some healing magic with this water dragon power as well." Juvia mentioned as Erza just cut herself with her sword.
"Hey, are you crazy?!" Shin asked gasp.
"Don't worry, this is just to show Juvia's power." Erza said.
Juvia formed water around her right hand and place if on the cut wound on Erza's right arm, a few seconds later with blue glowing aura, Juvia remove her hand showing the cut wound is completely gone.
"Whoa, that's cool." Julius impressed.
"Can you teach me healing magic like that?" Sizilien asked amazes of this magic.
"Perhaps, but there is limit of how much my spells can heal another such as a stab wound is difficult to seal up and can drain Juvia's magic to almost exhaustion." Juvia explained.
"Okay, so we got two different Dragon Slayers, but next time please don't cut yourself like that. You nearly gave me a heart attack." Shin advised to Erza.
"I promise not to spook you like that again." Erza said.
"You better, I hate to see something bad happening to one of my precious friends." Shin stated which causes Erza's cheeks to blush.
"R-Right, I will be more careful in the future." Erza nodded.
"(Why am I feeling a bit jealous all the sudden?)" Sizilien thought asked herself.
"Glad to hear it. Now, is there something special about your magic, Headmistress Irene?" Shin asked.
"You could say a bit more special than my daughters for mine is called Sage Dragon Slayer that utilizes the element of sage essence." Irene revealed.
"So, you eat like sage flowers or something?" Maria asked, a little confuse about the Sage Essence part.
"It's more than that, but I'll save that explanation for another time." Irene said.
"Now that we have reveal ourselves to you all, I believe it's time we get down to the part about how Shin got his Dragon Slayer powers as I recall that he wasn't born with it. Right, Merlin?" Irene asked the wise old man.
"That's right. Shin, do you remember that stone wall we found five years ago when we were walking in the forest together?" Merlin asked his adopted grandson.
"How could I forget? Countering that strange stone wall is what changed me forever, to discover a magic that was thought to be lost for the past 200 years and I attend it into my very being, it was like I was suddenly reborn for a higher purpose or something like that." Shin expressed his experience during that time and remember that he was reborn before from that other world.
"And this wall, by any chance had a red crystal embedded on this stone wall?" Irene asked.
"Yeah, I remember seeing the crystal believing that it was calling out to me and when I touched it, strange rainbow color light shines brightly, and I also saw visions of many dragons before these weird orbs appeared each in different color flying fast in different directions. And after that, I discovered I can do Dragon Slayer Magic." Shin explained as he emits his blue flame from his fist.
"I see, now I know that feeling I had five years ago wasn't my imagination." Irene said.
"Do you know something about this, Headmistress Irene?" Diesum asked.
"Indeed, I do. I believe Shin had discovered a relic of what the child of the Last Dragon Slayer left behind two centuries ago." Irene revealed.
"A relic, you mean that child made that stone wall?" Shin asked shock.
"Yes, this story has been passed down from our family for generations and only within our family knows of this even though we didn't know where this stone wall was located as it was kept secret by the founder himself." Juvia said.
"The story goes that the Last Dragon Slayer managed to gather the remaining magical energy from his fallen comrades storing them into orbs though he couldn't store them somewhere as his life ended soon after. It was then the child would do the task for the father, inspired by the stories his mother told him and hid the orbs as his father intended to and made a spell that all the magic insides would only be release by someone with a strong heart and spirit like a dragon." Eriza explained.
"Shin Wolford, what you did five years ago was unleased the Dragon Slayer Magic that was sealed away upon the world." Irene revealed.
"Whoa, for real? Then what happened to me… Other people may get Dragon Slayer Magic too." Shin revealed.
"That's right, the orbs have likely found new users back then and are probably using their newfound powers right now for either good or evil, we don't know entirely. But what we do know is that the world may be in for an epic ride that ancient magic has found its way to the present and honestly, that gets me excited." Irene smiled with a scary expression that spook the students except Shin.
"I think you should be careful with your expressions, Irene. Remember how most people would mistaken you as an evil overlord with that." Melinda chuckled.
"Sorry, couldn't help myself when something exciting is happening." Irene said.
"But wait, if your family has been Dragon Slayers this entire time then why haven't you guys revealed yourself to everyone in the kingdom or the whole continent?" Maria wondered about that.
"Because our ancestor made a rule to never reveal ourselves to the world until the moment comes when the Lost Slayer magic would return, and we met at least one Dragon Slayer to show us the sign." Irene answered.
"He believed when that happens, the world would be in great danger and the Slayer magic would be needed once again." Juvia added.
"Hmm, I guess that make sense. No point in showing off powerful magic in case someone tries to take advantage of the situation." Shin believed.
"And as expected, the people of this kingdom are very shocked about your magic Shin which I have no doubt will gain a lot of attention from other people like those crazy fans of your grandparents." Irene pointed out.
"I was hoping Shin wouldn't have to suffer through all that." Melinda worried.
"It was bond to happen the moment we came to city after revealing he is our grandson." Merlin sighed.
"Don't worry, I'm sure Shin can handle the pressure of being popular of the entire city." August teased, patting Shin on the back.
"Yeah, I'll try not to get crush." Shin deadpanned.
"Anyway, before we end this meeting, there is one more thing I should you that Dragon Slayer isn't the only type of Slayer magic in the world." Irene mentioned getting everyone's attention.
"I only remember two other Slayer Magic such as Devil and God Slayer magic." Merlin said shocking the students.
"Hold on! You mean to tell that there is a magic combat form that can slain both God and Devil! There's no way?!" Maria refused to believe that, even though deep down she somehow knew it's the truth.
"Oh, trust me, child. There is." Irene smirked making Maria go pale.
"Well, if we're all done with the ancient stories of Dragon Slayers and such. I believe I have a uniform to remake for a certain young lady." Shin smiled at Sizilien making her smile.
"Th-Thank you." Sizilien thanked blushing.
Later, Melinda had Sizilien changed into a new set of clothes for Shin to remake the defense enchantments on the school uniform, and Shin started showing by using his magical pencil to erase the letters of enchantment on Sizilien's uniform.
"The letters are disappearing?!" Sizilien gasped.
"He's deleting them somehow!" Maria shocked.
"My word, seeing this in person is much more than hearing about it!" Erza surprised.
"It makes my head spin, no matter how often I see it." Melinda exclaimed.
"Yes, our Shin has certainly grown up, hasn't he?" Merlin smirked.
"I can say far more than any freshmen in the school." Irene smiled as Shin just finished upgrading Sizilien's uniform.
"Is there anything you can't do?" August asked.
"This magic gear isn't all that impressive." Shin claimed.
"My, such a modest young man. Tell how this upgrade of yours work." Irene wanted to hear this.
"Okay. First off, it needs at least some magic input to activate. Which means it can't protect anyone against sneak attacks and the enchantment's protection doesn't extend past the uniform, so your arms, legs, and heads will still be vulnerable." Shin explained shocking most of everyone even Irene.
"My, my, you keep surprising more on just the very first day of school." Irene chuckled.
"Father, doesn't that make thus uniform…" August paused of the thought.
"Yes, son, I'm well aware." Diesum nodded and look to Shin.
"Forgive me, Shin, but listen. This magic gear is outstanding. No, fair more than that if the world were to find out about it, they'll be Hell to pay." Diesum stated with worries.
"He's right, it's best to keep this a secret at least for the time being to prevent any declaration of war if the military were to discover this kind of enchantments familiar to my own existed then there would be danger along the way." Irene explained.
"Whoa, I had no idea. You're right, it was reckless of me to make these things. And now that I think about it, people already got enough to be concern about with the sudden appearance of Dragon Slayer Magic." Shin realized making Merlin and Melinda gasp.
"Wow, this is the first time that Shin's had a regret" Melinda smiled.
"That's true!" Merlin smiled as well, seeing his grandson maturing more today.
"I just wanted you to know what's at stake. Glad to see you're starting to understand that your potential power could lead to something dangerous if not careful." Diesum said.
"I was planning to perform the same enchantments on August's uniform, but I think I should just stop. I'm sorry, Aug." Shin apologized, causing the King of Earlshide Kingdom to gasp.
"Well, hold on now, let's not be hasty. A few more won't hurt a long as no one misuses them." Diesum proclaimed making his son deadpan at him.
"(Guess even the mighty King doesn't want anything happening to his son.)" Irene thought deadpanned.
(Nighttime)
Shin's five classmates are now standing outside with their uniforms all enchantment upgraded along with Irene and her daughters as Juvia's uniform is also upgraded.
"I've enchanted everyone else, are you sure you don't want one?" Shin asked Maria.
"Yeah, the idea of wearing a big mass of state secrets kinda weirds me out." Maria proclaimed.
"Thanks a lot, Shin. When I wear this it almost feels as though you're protecting me in person. That thought makes me happy." Sizilien complimented, making Shin blush.
"H-Hey, Headmistress Irene, I remember you mention something about your own enchantments." Shin mentioned.
"That's right, you could my enchantment level is more than you can imagine." Irene pointed her finger at Maria causing her uniform to glow red brightly for a few seconds.
"Whoa, what? What did you do?" Maria asked freaking out.
"Simply, I created the same upgrade enchantments like Shin did, making your uniform the same as the others." Irene answered with a confident smile.
"No way, you can do that without using a magic item! That's crazy, it's so amazing!" Shin said of starstruck.
"Please, that is only a tiny fraction of what our mother's enchantment can do." Erza said with a smug, same with Juvia.
"Like what? Change the form of the land itself?" Maria asked, the three Belserion women gave her a scary smile making the girl feel shivers down her spine.
"GET THIS THING OFF OF ME?!" Maria begged to remove her uniform, then calms down when Shin touch her shoulder.
"You know, I just had an idea. Starting tomorrow, how about I take you two home from school?" Shin offered.
"No, I wouldn't want to trouble you more than I have." Sizilien rejected the kind offer.
"Yeah, it would be a hassle to have walk around so much." Maria agreed.
"It's no trouble if we use Gate." Shin said confusing the girls.
"Gate?" Erza wondered.
"It's a little spell of mine." Shin summoned his magical purple portal, Gate.
(Wooden House)
"Where the heck are we?" Maria asked shock.
"This is the house where me and Grandpa used to live." Shin answered.
"You're kidding. I thought you told us that you used to live deep in the forest." August confused.
"Yeah, that's were we are." Shin said.
"Hold on, we teleported here?" Erza puzzled.
"I wouldn't call it teleportation. I just bent space to connect these two places." Shin explained making Maria and the others confuse more, except for Irene who is intrigue of this spell.
(Back to the Wolford Manor)
"I can only make gates to places I've been before, so we'd need to take a carriage to your home at least once." Shin mentioned.
"All this craziness is starting to give me a headache." Maria groaned.
"Juvia is not even sure if she got all that…" Juvia said with a dizzy expression.
"I'd heard you were out of the loop, but your nonchalance about these thing is boggling." Thor commented.
"Maybe think before you show us these spells." Julius advised.
"Seems our top scorer flunks when it comes to comment sense." August exclaimed.
"Come on, is it really that bad?" Shin asked.
"YES!" Most of the answered as Irene just giggles.
