Jacob's P.O.V
I ran out of the house and shifted. I ran as fast as I could to see Nessie. It wasn't fair. They knew we imprinted. They couldn't do this to me.
I started slowing down when I got a view of the Cullen's house. Bella and Edward was outside already.
I went behind a tree near the house and shifted back. I put on the clothes that I kept on that tree for these situations.
"Jacob, nothing you could say is going to change our minds," Bella stated.
"Bells, but what about everything we've been through? You know that you can't just take away my imprint. It's going to shatter me," I begged.
"Jacob, she's still a child and she needs to grow. She cannot grow as a person if you keep shadowing her," Bella reasoned.
"I know, I'll give her the space she needs. Just don't take her away from Forks. I can watch her from a distance," I said.
"That wouldn't work. Either way, she's growing too quickly physically. People will notice. It's better this way. We will be back from time to time," Edward said this time.
"Aren't you worried about how this would affect her?" I shouted.
"Like I said, she is a child. She's not emotionally attached to you yet. I know you have a need to protect her constantly, but you have to let her go and let her become her own person," Bella said.
I felt my heart get ripped from my chest. How was I going to do this?
"Jacob, you'll have to be strong for her," Edward said clearly reading my mind.
"Can I At least say goodbye?" I asked.
"Of course," Bella said.
I admitted defeat and went inside to say my final goodbyes to Nessie.
Amelia's P.O.V
Jacob never returned home. Billy came and I was able to heat up his dinner before I left.
"I completely forgot to buy groceries," Billy said.
"It's fine, I was able to go with Jacob," I told him.
"Oh, he stopped being moody?" Billy asked surprised.
"Yeah, I soften him up with spaghetti," I laughed.
"That will do it. It's his favorite," Billy said.
"I'm going to get going. There's more food in the fridge for when he gets home. I'll see you tomorrow," I told Billy.
"Drive safe!"
I grabbed my book bag and left the house. I got into my truck and went home.
When I arrived, I noticed two cars outside of Charlie's home. They were actually very expensive cars. I was dazzled by them. I walked on over to get a good look at them.
They were brand spanking new. I wanted to see the inside so bad.
"I think you're drooling a bit," a voice said.
I turned my head quickly.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be so close. The cars are gorgeous," I said while glancing at the Volvo XC60 again.
"You got good taste," the person said.
"Hah, I guess. To bad I'm poor," I joked.
The person started laughing as well.
"I haven't seen you around. I'm Carlisle," the guy said while extending his hand.
"I recently moved next door. I'm Amelia," I said while taking his hand and shaking it.
I didn't get the same reaction as I did when I shook Jacob's hand. This guys hand was extremely cold.
The front door of Charlie's house opened. A woman and a man came out along with a small child. I assumed that was Bella and her husband with the child they adopted.
"Do you really have to go Bells?" Charlie said.
"Yes dad. I'll visit you and you know you can video chat with us," she said.
"I'm going to miss you bud," he said awkwardly.
Bella pulled him into a hug. The little girl joined the hug as well. Bella pulled away and Charlie crouched down.
"You take care of your mom, okay?" Charlie said.
The little girl laughed and nodded her head yes.
Charlie's eye linked with mine.
"Oh Bells, before you leave, let me introduce you to my new neighbor," Charlie said.
I awkwardly played with the tip of my hair and walked over to them.
"Hi, I'm Amelia," I said.
She smiled at me. "Hi Amelia, I'm Bella and this is my husband Edward and our daughter Renesmee."
I took a good look at the family in front of me. They were all drop dead gorgeous. What the fuck? How was it even humanely possible that these beautiful people all meet and make a beautiful family.
"Wow, all three of you are just insanely beautiful," I blurted out. I covered my mouth surprised. I didn't mean for that to come out.
Bella laughed, "thanks, we appreciate the complement."
My face felt hot from the embarrassment.
"Well, it was nice to meet you. I have to get going, but hopefully we will see each other again. Have a safe trip," I smiled.
"Thank you, likewise," her husband answered. I nodded my head and awkwardly walked away.
I guess now I understood why Jacob was offering free babysitting services. Maybe he was still in love with Bella and wanted some way to stay near her. It's a little sad but she was mesmerizing.
I made is back to my room and took a deep breath. I don't know why meeting them made me so nervous. My hands were actually shaking. I've met other good looking people, but they made me feel more uneasy.
The next morning, I made coffee, grabbed my book bag for school, and grabbed a tote bag that had my uniform and shoes. My class was at 6pm so I was planning on going straight from Billy's house to school.
When I arrived at Billy's house, a key was hanging on the door knob. I couldn't help but snort. How were they going to lock their door but leave the key hanging on the door knob? It made no sense. I took the key, quietly opened the door and walked in. This time, they were both still asleep since the lights were off. I took advantage and started preparing breakfast.
As I finished preparing breakfast, Billy was the first the wake up.
"Wow, that smells delicious," he said.
"Good Morning! You're right on time. I just finished making breakfast," I told him.
"Can't wait to eat, I'm starving," he said.
I grabbed a plate and served him breakfast. I put it on the table for him with coffee.
"You got any plans today?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I'm going to see Charlie today. He told me his daughter moved away yesterday," he said.
"Yeah, I was there when they left. I met the family," I said.
"How was it?" Billy asked.
"Sorta intimidating. I don't know, I felt uneasy. They are all strangely gorgeous though."
"Yeah, the Cullen's are all good looking people," Billy said.
"So that's their last name," I said as I cleaned the frying pan.
"What are we talking about?" Jacob's voice rang.
I looked up and saw a shirtless Jacob. His little hairs from his head was sticking up and he was rubbing his eyes. Even though he looked completely childish, his body said otherwise.
"I know you're not used to a woman in the house, but you mind putting on a shirt?" I said trying to keep my cool.
"Oh crap!" He said running back into him room. Billy just laughed.
"Thanks for the breakfast, I got to get going. Sue is picking me up soon," Billy said. He chugged the coffee and made his way to his room.
Jacob came out of his room looking down. His face still held a tinge of pink.
"May I get some breakfast please?" He murmured.
"Sure," I said while making him a plate. I put it in front of him and placed a coffee mug next to him.
"This is my special coffee," I said while pouring him coffee from my thermos.
"How special can it be?" He asked while taking a sip.
"Oh that's good," he said surprised.
"I have a Nespresso machine at home. I make it with evaporated milk and it's fire," I said.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Jacob laughed as he ate his breakfast.
"It's Gucci. You don't have to understand," I said while grabbing Billy's plate and cleaning it.
Billy came out and went towards Jacob.
"Think you can help me get into Sue's car?" He asked.
"Of course," he smiled at his dad and got up. He went with his dad outside.
There wasn't much to do in the house since I gave it a good cleaning yesterday. I took out my nursing book and walked over to the couch. I continued my studying.
Jacob returned back inside and sat on the table to finish his breakfast. After a while, I heard him get up and put the plate in the sink. He then made his way to the bathroom.
Jacob came out of the bathroom.
"Hey, I have some things to do today. You'll be alright?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'll be leaving around 5. I have class at 6pm," I told him.
"You have classes that late? What time do you get home?" He asked.
"It's supposed to be done at 11pm," I answered.
"That's late!" He said surprised. His voice carried a tinge of concern.
"I'll be fine."
Jacob gave me a look and nodded his head.
"Okay, stay safe," he said and left.
I continued my reading.
