Fuck I'm so busy. I want to get chapters out but I worked all week and uh...
Enjoy!
"So what is this Council?" Drake asked, arms crossed as he watched the twelve members of The Olympians carefully. Nashi was curious too, because she had the feeling they were at a huge disadvantage.
"Simple," Zeus replied. "We will discuss the crimes you have committed, and vice versa. Afterwards, we will see where we go now. and that depends heavily on you seven."
"Sounds easy enough," Simon said. "Where do we start?"
"Phantom Dove," Athena said, still looking around at the screens around her. "The biggest offender here is Drake." Drake made a face at this when Nashi looked over at him. "He is the sole reason they were defeated."
"All I did was lead my guildmates back there," Drake said.
"Yes exactly." Zeus said. "It's your fault." Nashi said Drake tighten up at this, which made her uncomfortable. "You and Elise Redfox were assisted in your escape my Sorano Agria, who used her old alias of Angel to deceive Jose into letting her into the guild."
"The only reason we needed to escape was because those assholes imprisoned and tortured us!" Drake shouted, getting to his feet. "They started it!"
"Incredibly incorrect," Athena said, not even looking up from her screens. "Yourself, Nashi Dragneel and Elise Redfox accepted a job request centred around Phantom Dove."
"We were only supposed to do recon," Nashi said, remaining calm as best she could. "Your underlings started the fight."
"Again incorrect." Athena said. "Elise Redfox did." Nashi made a face, and looked at Drake incredulously. He shrugged, and they both looked at Elise, who was slinking down into her seat.
"Elise?" Drake asked.
"What?" Elise demanded. "They found me, I had to do something." Nashi frowned. That wasn't good.
"It seems to me that The incident falls on your shoulders, Fairy Tail." Zeus said. "You are to blame."
"Do you think that excuses what happened there?!" Drake asked, slamming his fist down on the table. "We were tortured! Nashi almost died! Elise-!"
"Sit down, Drake." Elise said, voice unsteady. "They already know what happened." Drake's anger seemed to die down slightly at this, so he sat, albeit in a huff.
"If I may, Zeus." Apollo said, raising his hand. Zeus nodded.
"You may," He replied. Apollo nodded and stood.
"I believe that the actions taken against Fairy Tail when they were imprisoned was more than enough to elicit the response they had. Jose did it to himself." Nashi stared at Apollo, as did Zeus. What the hell was he doing?
"...Yes, I agree." Zeus said, nodding. "What Jose oversaw did indeed elicit that response." Nashi could barely believe Zeus was agreeing with Apollo. Was this some kind of joke? A trap? "However, there is still another problem."
"Yes, indeed." Apollo said. "After all, Phantom Dove lost a man, and Fairy Tail did not." Nashi recalled what that meant, he'd mentioned it earlier.
"You mean me, don't you?" Damien asked. Zeus nodded.
"We do," he replied. "Damien, you killed Eoin, a member of Phantom Dove. Do you have a defence for this?"
"He was trying to kill my friends," Damien replied, not even blinking. "He got what he deserved, and not an ounce less."
"A them or him situation," Athena said. "A decent reason, but defeat would have been more than enough to stop him. His death was not called for."
"You heard what I said." Damien replied. Silence fell over the table, and Nashi felt extremely uneasy. It still wasn't clear to her what The Olympians planned on doing with them, or if they were even going to be fair with them.
"Moving on then," Zeus said. "The remaining topics of Phantom Dove do not concern you seven."
"Actually, it does." Ultear said, speaking up. "You mentioned an Anima cannon. That's what the portals to Edolas are called. Because Phantom Dove had one, and it went off, we got sent to Edolas and almost killed."
"Yeah," Nashi agreed. "Why the hell did they have one of those things anyway? What purpose did it serve?"
"That's none of your concern, frankly." A man with a giant scar on his face said. "You're fine, who cares?"
"Silence, Ares." Zeus said. "You are right, but do not try and started something." Ares only laughed and leaned back at this, so Athena cleared her throat and continued.
"Devil Advocate incident," Athena said. "We have a lot to discuss here." Zeus nodded, and Athena continued. "Accused of helping three members of the guild defect, killing another two, and maiming Kronos."
"They attacked us and our entire guild without provocation," Simon said. "And when we went to resolve the issue, we were blasted out of the sky and they nearly killed us and the members of Crime Sociere. The entire incident is on them."
"Actually, that is incorrect." Another man said, speaking up. "We ordered Kronos to send man to your guild hall and attack you."
"Let me guess," Nashi said. "Because of Phantom Dove?"
"Exactly why," he replied. "You tore through an entire guild we needed, and expected us not to do something about it?"
"Poseidon makes an excellent point." Zeus said. "We needed Phantom Dove, and yet they were killed and disbanded because of your actions. We ordered Kronos to retaliate. On top of that, you helped three members of the guild defect.
"Speaking of which," The woman whom Apollo called sis said, standing up. "I wish to ask our guests a question related to that matter."
"If you wish," Zeus said. the woman nodded gratefully and turned to them coldly.
"Tell me where Katsuchi, Tetsu and Azzie are, right now." She said. "They have secret knowledge that they should not and must be stopped." Nashi and the others stayed quiet at this question, mostly because they didn't have a clue. Nashi didn't, at least, She'd seen the three of them at the Grand Magic Games, but they'd disappeared after the Royal Ball.
"No idea," she said. "I'd have figured you had that covered if it's such a big deal."
"We did," Zeus said. "But after they're attendance at the Grand Magic Games, we lost track of them. They did not return to their home, and we have no idea where they went."
"Aw, well doesn't that suck." Elise said. "Sorry, we don't have a clue." Silence again, before Zeus sighed.
"Fine," he said. "I assume your defence for the death of Icas and Taisho are the same as Damien's for Eoin?"
"Don't know why you think it'd be different." Nashi said. "It's always been us or them." Zeus nodded at this.
"And for what you did to Kronos?"
"You can keep asking us about every single one of your underlings we've killed or maimed or whatever," Drake snarled. "The answer isn't changing."
"That's fine, we can talk about the Silverridge incident then. We only want to talk to you about it anyway, Nashi." Nashi felt her throat tighten a bit at this.
"And why's that?" She asked.
"Because your actions were the only ones to make any difference." Athena said. "Apocalypse was sent to taken control of the Etherious weaponry stored below Silverridge. Not only did you stop him, you destroyed every piece of weaponry located there. And on top of that, you killed Apocalypse."
"Well, I did. But they're not charging me, it seems."
Let's not talk about this right now.
"So?" Nashi asked. "We lured us away and tried to kill us. Probably on your orders."
"Wrong," Nashi looked over as Hephaestus said this. "Apocalypse acted on his own. He was not to contact you. You were to be at your guild hall when he blasted Magnolia with the Etherion cannon."
"So you wanted to kill us either way, then." Drake said. "How do you figure that helps your case exactly?" Zeus smiled at this.
"Killing you was our secondary goal." He said. "We were after something else by blasting your guild."
"Which is?" Steph asked. As Zeus made eye contact with Nashi, her whole body went cold.
"I'm sure Nashi knows what we wanted," he said, smiling. Nashi's eyes widened and her head began to spin.
He means you, doesn't he?
"That's possible. I am unsure."
He wanted to blast the guild hall with me present and wake you up! Only Apocalypse lured me away...but why? Why would he do that? Does he need me? Does he need us? Or just you? Holy fuck I can't think straight now that he's dropped that bomb on me!
"It's okay, I'm here. You'll be okay. I will protect you."
Nashi had to admit, she felt a little grateful END stayed steadfast in her convictions.
"Don't have a clue," Nashi choked out. "And frankly I don't care." She couldn't get into the whole END debacle. At least not not. She didn't know if she was right, nor did she want to blurt anything out if she was wrong. She already had way too much on her mind.
"But that is not important right now," Zeus said, continuing on like he hadn't said anything.
"It's still another instance where you tried to kill us," Damien said. "The fact that you fail to see that is odd." Zeus didn't seem to hear Damien, but if he did he ignored him completely.
"And lastly," Athena said. "The defeat of Kronos during the closing ceremony of the Grand Magic Games. Not only did you resurface, but you got him imprisoned. It is not as heavy of an accusation, but you still stopped us again."
"And again another point when you tried to kill us." Ultear said.
"I told you idiots already," Hermes said, legs up on the table. "You were supposed to get lost in time. It wouldn't have killed you, t least not right away. Would you have aged at all travelling through time? I don't know."
"It's a heavier crime against us than them," Hades said, paying little attention. "We only lost Kronos. No big deal."
"I spent months constructing those body parts," Hephaestus said.
"Again, no big deal."
"Stop it," Zeus said, silencing both of them. "These are all the crimes you have committed against us. And all of those we in turn have committed to you. Athena, what were the sentences we sorted out earlier?" Athena swiped through a few screens before she stopped.
"Nashi Dragneel," she said. "Death." Nashi felt her stomach drop at this. "Drake, death. Elise Redfox, death. Ultear Fullbuster, death. Simon Scarlet, death. Damien Dreyar, death. Stephanie Dreyar, death."
"So after all of that, you decided to kill us anyway?" Nashi asked, throat closing up as she began to panic. Zeus shook his head.
"That was what all twelve of us decided on before you arrived." He said. "We will now hear your verdict. What charges will you place, Nashi Dragneel?" Nashi gulped and looked around at her friends. All of them were looking at her, but she could tell they'd all tensed up for a fight. She, too, was tense and ready to go if she had to.
"Uh..." Nashi started. "I-I think we'd all prefer it if we just kept out of each other's way. But if it has to come down too it...Death."
Her words cast silence on the group once again. She could feel twelve sets of eyes all boring into her at once. What were they going to do?
Before she could think of an answer, Zeus stood from his seat,
"Everything that needs to be said as been said," he said. "And all crimes have been discussed. Does anyone have anything else they wish to discuss?" Nobody spoke. "So be it. We will disperse for now, but reconvene in the morning. Is that understood?" Again, no response. "Good." Nashi watched as the Olympians began to get up and leave the table, walking towards the door to leave.
"what do we do now?" Drake asked. "He said we're coming back in the morning for the verdict."
"Back to the ship?" Ultear suggested.
"No, they can't be that dumb." Damien said. "We might try to escape."
"If we're stupid, yeah." Elise muttered. "Remember they threatened to destroy Magnolia."
"You all will be staying in prepared rooms." Athena said, having walked to them. "I'll show you too them, if you wish."
"Do we have an option?" Steph asked. Athena didn't respond to this, just played with her screens. "Guess not."
"Here we are," Athena said, stopping in an empty hallway with rooms on either side. "You will each pick a room and stay in it. I will come and wake you when it is time to meet tomorrow." With this, Athena turned and left Nashi and the others to themselves in the hallway.
"Nice of them to prepare rooms, I guess." Ultear said, arms crossed.
"Suppose they figured we'd be staying here?" Drake asked.
"Of course they did," Nashi mumbled. "They're always a step ahead of us."
"Let's not make this any harder than it has to be," Simon said, opening one of the doors. "Sleep if you can, but be ready for tomorrow. Lord knows what's going to happen." One by one the others dispersed into their rooms, and Nashi did so as well. As soon as she entered and closed the door, she heard it lock behind her. So lit looked like she wasn't doing any exploring during the night.
Looking around the room revealed in was very simplistic in nature. A bed with a few sheets and a pillow lay up against the wall, and a toilet was on the opposite side of the room. All in all it looked pretty sub-par, but what was she too expect?
Nashi wandered over and sat down on the bed, putting her head in her hands as she thought about what had transpired earlier. The Olympians had already decided to kill them before they arrived, but Zeus had said they would take the night and see if that opinion changed. They were to do so as well, but Nashi knew her opinion wouldn't change. If they could get out of this without a fight, that was great. She somehow doubted that though.
END? You there?
"I always am. What is it?"
Nashi clenched her jaw together as she thought about what Zeus had said to her. Was he after END? Both of them? She didn't know, and it scared her to think that this power she'd been born with had inadvertently but her friends and family in danger.
What if they're after us? What do we do?
"I don't think our plan needs to change." END said. "We stop them. I will not let them hurt you."
I know, but why do they want us? What purpose do I serve?
"If I had to guess, they want to utilise our powers. But I will not let them."
Nashi went quiet as she thought about this. If the Olympians wanted her for her powers, then what were they planning to do with it? Take over the world? Or was their some other ulterior motive that she couldn't even fathom? The more she thought about it the more she began to worry.
"Hey, I know you're scared." Nashi perked up as END spoke to her again. "But it'll be okay. I'm here, and so are your friends. What do we have to worry about?"
...You're right. I'm sure things will work out fine.
"Exactly. Now try and get some sleep. We may have a fight tomorrow."
This did nothing to soothe Nashi's worries, but END was right. She wasn't helping anybody by sitting here and not sleeping. Leaning back and doing her best to get comfortable, Nashi closed her eyes and tried to force sleep to take her away from her worries. It wasn't working, but she wasn't about to give up that easily.
Nashi jumped into a bolt right position as a blaring alarm sounded off in her room. Jumping to her feet, she looked around. there was no one else but her in her room, but the alarm was incredibly loud. After a few more seconds it died down, leaving Nashi with a wicked headache.
What the hell was that?
"Attention, visitors from Fairy Tail." Nashi looked up to the roof, where a loudspeaker was implanted on the roof. "This is Zeus speaking. I know we said we would wait until the morning, but we've decided to just kill you all anyway."
What?!
In about five or so minutes your rooms will be stormed by members of The Olympians, and you will be killed. Resist or do not, it doesn't matter to us. You will die here, and our plans can finally proceed without being thwarted by a bunch of teenagers. That is all. Goodbye."
Nashi stood there in shock as Zeus signed off, trying to comprehend what she just heard. They'd decided, after all of that, to just kill them anyway.
"Why are you just standing here?" END's raspy voice resounded in her head. "They will be here soon, get ready."
You're right. We need to find the others and end this. We can't leave, or they might blast Magnolia to pieces. This needs to end, now.
Growing angrier by the second, Nashi turned and blasted the door keeping her in the room, blowing it to smithereens.
"Let's find the others and end this," She hissed to herself. "I've decided. Zeus, death."
Zeus turned to face Hades, who was smiling at him.
"There you go," the younger man said. "Spoken like a pro."
"This'd better work, Hades." Zeus warned. "Or it's your head." Hades laughed.
"Trust me, old man. This is going to go splendidly."
"It better, because we spent too long on this just for you to fuck it up." Zeus looked back at the monitors, which displayed each members of Fairy Tail's rooms, which were now empty. No doubt they wold fight their way through it like everything else they'd sent their way.
Only now, he had to rely on Hades and his ridiculous plans.
He only hoped that they worked.
Whew, I am so tired. But I managed to write this for you guys so that you don't have to wait another three weeks or whatever. I hope you enjoyed, leave a review! Let's try to get five!
Chapter 276: Right to the Top
