Rebecca spread open her wings, readying the katanas for battle, those sharp blades of hers now flaming with that of fire itself. But I knew who that was within her that was controlling her to do these things.

Grogar...

One way or another, I now knew what his plans for all of Equestria truely were. I wasn't going to let him take ahold of the sparks within me, as well as the fact that I had earned the Spark of Magic, completing all of them. Those red eyes of his from the veil of my friend, glare right back, having been surprised that I resisted against his oncoming attack to forcefully take the sparks from me.

Rebecca-Grogar just snickers at me, raising her blades and signalling for me to come at them. But I stood my ground, waiting for the first move.

"Very well then, son of Celestia," The voices of both Rebecca and Grogar talked at the same time. "I will just have to kill you, and then it can be forcefully taken from you."

Rebecca-Grogar made their first move, charging straight forward towards me with the flaming katanas, their wings pushing them forward in the charge, at a quick speed over towards me. I observe my timing, jumping out of the way, facing them as they turn around, my view of Twilight still asleep in the green orb and not awakening concerning me.

I was thrown backwards, landing and sliding on my back on the stones below with the sound of my armor skidding as I did so. A swipe from the flaming katana on their right was the cause mostly for that. I get up onto my feet, taking the both of my hands and placing them onto the grip of the Song of Order as they fly back towards me.

A clash of her katanas with my claymore, thankfully had managed to get them out from that flying and swiping for that moment, engaging me in the duel, clashing and taking every opportunity to try and stab at me.

"I assure you that when you die, you won't be alive to see all of your Equestria suffer!" Rebecca-Grogar taunts me, with a teasing laugh.

"Like that's going to ever happen!" I shouted at them, slashing across and clashing with the flaming katanas again.

I spread open my wings, using them briefly for my two armored legs and feet to kick them back and away as I prepare more magic that the blade was providing me. Landing back on the stones, I charge at them, hopping with the assistance of my wings, flying over by the side to use a burst of magic towards me, knocking them to the ground.

"Why you..." They said to me, using their magic to send a ball of fiery energy towards me.

Their ball of fire slams into me, knocking me onto the shield, but still I remain on my two feet. I clash with them again, jumping backwards and then attempting to stab at them but narrowly missing. The only other from that move, I did manage to cut at the side of the chest, as Rebecca-Grogar groaned from the attack made. I just had to keep fighting no matter what, and just try to get Rebecca to hear my voice.

"Rebecca!" I call to them. "I know you are in there! Snap out of it!"

They chuckled as they clashed her katanas with the blade, those red eyes of evil staring at my own brown eyes. "Your 'friend' Rebecca cannot hear you, fool! She is prisoner now within her own soul, whereas I have control of her mind and body." Rebecca-Grogar taunts me.

"I know she is there inside! Stay strong Rebecca!" I shouted at them. "Don't let Grogar win you!"

I charge magic into the Song of Order, casting out lightning from the blade itself towards my possessed friend. She is knocked back, but still stands her ground, her hands that grip onto the flaming katanas glowing an orange color. Things were starting to become serious by the looks of it, as Grogar within was taking in more power.

"Be gone!" Rebecca-Grogar shouted at me, tossing her katanas like boomerangs towards me, which I jump above, only feeling a few of my wings' feathers being severed away.

I fall back onto my two feet, only being slammed forward by the handles of the katanas that returned to Rebecca-Grogar's own hands. Charging forward, I slash right at them, the sound of the dark iron clashing right with my silver steeled blade, which the words scribed onto them is shining brightly.

"Brayden! Get him!" Spike calls to me. I do not take my focus off to look at him as I am distracted enough already with the fight.

Rebecca-Grogar charges up a powerful lightning magic with their hands, throwing their hands forward at me and sending towards me the sparks which give me great harm as I am trying to fight back. Another swing of the katanas towards me, which I block again, looking directly at their eyes.

"Rebecca! I know you're still there! Don't give in!" I shouted at her, tears beginning to form in my eyes as I try to defend myself.

The red eyes of Grogar had switched at that moment to Rebecca's own hazel green eyes, which is doing the best she can to fight back against Grogar's influence within her. I can tell by how confused and tortured emotions that indicated that she did not want to fight me.

"B-Brayden?" She asked of my name, weakly speaking to me. "Please... I don't want... to... to hurt... you... I... don't want..."

"NO!" Grogar seized control of her mind and soul once more again, pushing back against my blade blocking the katanas, his red eyes on her present again. "You are not... taking back your... self!"

Rebecca-Grogar looks to the sky for that moment, raising one arm and making a throwing movement with it. "Rocks from above, rain down!" They shout out loud, laughing as I can see the meteorites from space flying downward towards the tower, them knowing that I'll probably have a tough time dodging them.

I am about to dodge the first one, but it had slammed into me too quickly before I could react, flying downward to the shield wall where Spike was standing, trying to make sure that I was okay, even if he couldn't assist me at this point.

"BRAYDEN!" He shouted out with panic in his voice, seeing that I was hurt, a bit of a bloody scrape seen on my right arm.

Rebecca-Grogar leapt forward, pinning me downward and they throw punches towards my face, doing their best to knock me out so they can take the sparks inside of me. I pull back my legs, kicking them back and off of me with my own armored feet, leaping right back up as they get up as well.

"Just don't know when to give up, do you?!" Rebecca-Grogar taunts to me, before there is another groan, with Rebecca's eyes and voice returning to her, grabbing her head and trying to fight back against the possession.

"Rebecca!"

"Please! Get out of my head!" Rebecca shouts at herself and the goat within her that is trying to keep control of herself.

It was just enough time for her to distract the Grogar within her as I held onto the Song of Order, preparing to blast a rainbow beam directly at her with the intention of removing that evil goat from her own body, out into the flesh to see his own physical form. I charge up the blade to a complete maximum, ready to fire directly towards her.

With the return of that goat within, Rebecca-Grogar maintained control once again of her, knocking the Song of Order out of my hands and pushes me towards the shield wall, gripping harder onto the flaming katanas and leaping forward and pinning me down there.

"See you..." Rebecca-Grogar says to me, raising the flaming katanas, ready to stab me and for me to embrace death at that moment.

"No! Rebecca!" I call out to her once more, failing to get a response from her own self within her own body. A glowing light begins to cover up Twilight within the orb she had been placed in, which has caught my attention, then a flash of light covering my vision as I couldn't see if Rebecca-Grogar was about to kill me.

Light.

"Brayden..."

"Twilight? Is that you?!"

"Brayden... set me free. I know how to save your friend."

"I don't know how though! Grogar has taken her body and soul! If I try, I'll end up killing her if I am not careful!"

"It's the sparks that can set both me and Rebecca free from the dark influence. You can do it... I know you can."

"It is worth only one shot..."

"My spark and yours will always be shared together, a promise of love forevermore..."

The orb that held Twilight in had broken free with a magical explosion from inside it, the lavender colored mare flying towards the possessed Rebecca, both of her front hooves out to push her away from killing me in the process.

"BRAYDEN!" She cries out, a glare on her face as she slams into Rebecca, destroying the barrier of magic that surrounded me and Rebecca in the first place, allowing for Spike to get closer and check up on me.

Rebecca-Grogar slides across the tower, the flaming katanas they held onto, dropped from their hands and sent skidding across to the edge of the tower where they lied down, now unconscious as a dark shadow begins to unveil itself out from the red haired girl, leaving her as Rebecca, her dragon wings fading into nothing.

"Are you alright?!" I can hear Twilight ask me, sounding really worried about me, offering one hoof to help me back up onto my feet while the other hoof of hers is gently caressing my left cheek.

I take her hoof, letting myself get back up onto my feet with her help. "Thanks Twi, I thought for certain that I was going to-" I said to her, being interrupted at that moment.

She had hopped towards me, throwing herself at me, wrapping both of her hooves gently around my neck and her wings around my body in a gentle heartwarming and loving embrace. I can feel the warmth from her fur and feathers as she was hugging me, knowing that I was safe and sound. I wrap my arms gently around her, sharing the hug with her.

"I thought for certain that I was going to lose you..." She says to me, a sad yet thankful tone in her voice present.

I sighed gently for that moment, gently moving a hand to stroke her soft mane. "I thought I lost you too..." I said to her, a gentle tone in my voice speaking to her. "When Blueblood sent you through that portal, letting you get captured, I thought for certain that you were dead."

"I'm not... I'm safe," She says to me, as I felt one of her tears crawl onto my skin. "We're both okay, and we'll make it in the end."

"Is every one of you alright?"

The voice of my mother Celestia had caught me off guard, but being that I knew her voice when I heard it, it did not end up making either of us jump. I turn my head, seeing the armored Celestia flying in with my aunt, both of them without their battle helmets as they land on top of the tower, approaching the both of us.

Me and Twilight release from the hug, and I turn to look at both of the tall alicorns in front of me. I look at my mother who looks rather worried about what had happened here. "I'm fine now," I tell her, a small bit of assurance given to her. "What about the battle? What is happening over there?"

"With the reinforcements, we were able to lead ourselves into victory over the field, Equestria is triumphant, with many casualties from the side of our soldiers, but in the end, we should sitll be able to repair over time on that quantity," She tells me. "Your friend... you've stopped her, right?"

"It was a large misunderstanding... she was being used," I said to her, turning my head to look at the unconscious Rebecca, a dark cloud of energy departing out from her soul into one clump that slowly approaches. "She was being controlled all along. A dark being within her..."

"So you figured it all out for even the princesses who do not realize who I am just yet, boy..." The voice from the dark energy says to all of us as it slowly approached the middle of the tower we stand on, halting to a stop.

"That voice... Vuurtongo?!" Celestia says, now getting defensive and standing beside me, ready to battle at my side.

"How wrong you were, when they had taught you that it was the first-born dragon of the heavens above that betrayed the First Alicorn herself. I merely needed a disguise and a purpose once I had been cast out from my original plan of covering all of Equus in the darkness for my oncoming kingdom..."

"If you aren't Vuurtongo, then..." The realization struck her like I did when I found out it was Grogar himself.

"In the beginning where there was light, darkness was born out of my own greed of wanting to keep it for myself. And so I sought out to do so, and thus, I was truely born..." Grogar said, the dark energy finally forming out from a cloud into a figure that looked exactly like I had predicted of him.

Grogar, the necromancer ram of darkness.

"Grogar!" Luna yells out. "I thought you were but a legend though!"

"So some had thought," He says to her. "But the entire Vuurtongo plot was something I had all set up, with hopes that I would one day return to Equus to plunge into the shadows. And now, I am about a few steps closer."

"But why?"

"Conquest for Tambelon to be the capital of all Equus, the kingdom of darkness to crush Equestria, the enchanted lands! All of Equestria began in darkness, and so I shall bring it back into darkness. Your own lives? Handled all by me as my own personal slaves, just like I dealt with that boy with wings who told me everything about the Five Songs."

"Wait... you killed Takeo?!" I shouted at him, sounding rather outraged, yet a little sad to hear that the enemy who became but a brief friend was killed with his own hooves.

"He went out screaming as I plunged his heart to the shadows," He says to me, his red eyes glowing at me. "Just like his heart, I will bathe your own in my shadows once I have completed what I have been looking for. Only then, in the end, will the darkness reign forever over the land of Equus forevermore, my eyes watching for those who defy my order and power."

"What do you seek for?" Luna asked.

The ram chuckled. "What I seek is the Five Songs that exist in this world, one now in the picture thanks to Brayden's own friend there," He turns to look briefly at the unconscious Rebecca, his dark magic surrounding the katanas. "And now, that is one of them that I have with me." He uses his magic to bring it over to him.

"Whatever you plan on doing, it is coming to an end. You will never win!" Celestia shouts at him.

"Just like how I was responsible for making Rebecca kill Nightmare Moon, right?" He says in a way of taunting me. I was that close to wanting to jump at him for even saying that about one of my loves.

"You may have one of the Songs, but you aren't taking mine or the others!" I shouted at him.

He chuckled at what I had said. "You thought I haven't got the other Songs yet? Think again..." He says to me with a low tone in his voice. "While you were busy preparing the armies of Equestria for war, I was quite busy myself."

He channels magic to his horns, revealing my three human friends from Earth above with his magic, along with Ann's staff, the Song of Nature. There were two other songs with both Andrea and Alex. The Songs of Aqua and Earth. The Song of Aqua being that of a mace shaped like a drop from the ocean, and the Song of Earth looking like a battle axe.

"My friends!" I shouted, growling at him as I ready my blade for battle. "Let them go!"

"In due time," He says, a cruel smile on his face. "Even so, it may not be complete yet, but it is enough to forge something so far." He says to us, bringing the three other songs together united with the Song of Flames, merging them altogether to form one Song all together, an incomplete version by chance... for the Aria of Darkness.

The blade floats down by itself towards him where he grips it with his magic, pointing it upwards to the sky. "You see now?! The Aria of Darkness... is forged! All it requires is your sparks and your Song, and then darkness prevails! Darkness is the way to go!"

"That's not true!" I shouted at him as I come forward, readying myself for battle, even for the fight of my life. "Darkness will never win over the way of the light, because no matter how many times the light can falter out, it always succeeds in the end! It's the power of friendship that will help us win, and always win in the end!"

Grogar raises the Aria of Darkness, the sharp blade pointed towards me. "You've come this far after the first time I saw you, yet still... you will not stand down and let the darkness win for once. Yet, you are too late. Behold..."

He looks up at the sky towards the red clouds above that have now turned dark itself, swirling about and unveiling a large object in the sky, which I can hear the gasps from my mother, aunt, Twilight and Spike when they see it.

"Is that..." I can hear Twilight ask.

"Yes princess," Grogar says to her. "The very first artifact born into this world. The first relic before even the first alicorn's white book itself. The doorway that decides the fate of Equus' future if it will be light or darkness in the end... the Heart of the Planet!"

"We'll stop you then!" Twilight shouts at him.

"Try as you may, but you will never stop the darkness from victory, even after you have won the battle on the field! Darkness is the way for Equestria and it's allies... Darkness is the fate for all of Equus, as a newborn Tambelon!"

"You're wrong on all of it, and I don't even need this Song or myself to stop you!" I said to him as his eyes turn back, ready to face me for a battle that will probably kill me, with only a small chance of survival if I win the battle.

"...Everypony around me, Equestria is part of my heart, as are my friends and loves!" I can feel myself shine and glow, even as darkness begins to swirl around the old necromancer ram himself. "And Equestria will shine forevermore!"

"All of the light of Equestria shall fade into the nothing... their power shall belong again to me alone and the darkness!"
