Two weeks after the battle of Mortem...
The beach close by Vanhoover was fogged as usual from the unusual weather patterns that it usually had at that time of year. The waves of the western ocean gently bashed against the sands on the surface, wettening them and rescinding back into the ocean to come back once again repeatedly.
Not a single being in all of Equestria was afloat in the skies, but just the sounds of the waves crashing and rippling back into the ocean floor. Downward from the skies though, a weapon had crashed forward onto the soft and wet sand without even a tip. An all-familiar weapon...
It was the Aria of Darkness, but with no power to keep it alive since the sacrifice of the Aria of Light against the necromancer ram and his dark plot to enslave all of Equestria. The user whom had briefly held and used the Aria against the ram, had passed in that sacrifice to stop him, with the Song of Order having merged in with the Aria, as a good heart was what the user behind the Aria of Light had, as well as a golden soul.
There is the sound of hooves moving on the sand. Other than the hoof-prints left on the wet sands, the hooves were well-covered underneath the dark brownish cloak that the hooded pony was wearing. The cloaked figure approaches the deactivated Aria of Darkness, its horn lighting up from within the cloak as it uses its magic to pick up the blade from the wet sands.
"At last... it wasn't a myth after all this time..." The figure stated observingly, revealing a male voice.
Across from where the figure stood, two other figures were coming into the scene as well. The one on the left who wasn't cloaked was a pegasus about the size of a filly, with the other being recognizable as the centaur Lord Tirek who was alongside the young one. The cloaked figure stood his ground, staring and watching as the two approach and join him.
"Tirek..." The figure acknowledged him, his eyes shadowed by the cloak he wore. "You escaped Tartarus again..."
"Yes," The centaur said, nodding. "It wasn't easy, but my assistant Cozy Glow here was a great help in aiding my second escape."
The filly stepped forward, her appearance being a coat of pinkish gray and a curly mane of light blue. Her eyes were that of being moderate scarlet and possessed the cutie mark of a rook. "We were all told to come here. We believe it was you who sent that message, wasn't you?" She asked, curiously.
"...Yep." The cloaked figure stated, sounding rather proud of his decision to bring them here.
"That voice..." Tirek observed, coming to a conclusion that he had heard that voice before from somewhere. "...Is that you?"
The hooded figure moved his front left leg, revealing a light gray colored hoof, bringing it upwards to the top and removing his hood, unveiling a unicorn stallion with a light brilliant arctic blue eye, as the other was covered with an eye patch, as if he had lost it. His mane color was the color of light amber, and Tirek was finally aware of who this stallion truly was.
It was Prince Blueblood. He had survived his fall from within the temple of Ikwyutania on the isle of Eden...
"Blueblood?" Cozy Glow acknowledged the stallion before her and Tirek. "You're alive. The news said that you were..."
"Dead? Defeated?" Blueblood inquired with a clever smirk on his face and a chuckle coming out of his mouth before continuing. "Indeed I did survive in the end after all. It came only with the cost of losing my right eye. It was only a bit of a miracle that my own magic was able to save me in time."
"But how did you get back here to Equestria's soil? It takes months to return here." Tirek asked, curious as to how Blueblood ended up getting back here.
"It wasn't easy..." Blueblood answered, turning to look ahead at the misty ocean. "I had to jump through many hoops just to work a warp-jump spell. It almost wore out all of my magic. When I finally got back here, I stayed out from the public eye should the Paladin still be walking. I was geniunely surprised when he sacrificed himself to stop the necromancer ram himself from conquering all of Equus."
"But he's dead, and the Aria of Darkness you have there is useless without its magic. What will you do about it?" Tirek asked. "There is no Mortem, and the threat even to us is gone now that the puppet of Grogar is on the side of the ponies."
"That's where I come in..." Blueblood uses his magic to pick up the Aria of Darkness, looking at it. "Being that plan was foiled, it took me a week to only think of an alternative plan and there still could be some power in this Aria to do other things to reign chaos upon all of Equus."
Cozy Glow stepped forward, placing a hoof onto the blade itself. "Oooh, so if there is power in it, there is still a chance for us after all," She said, looking up at Blueblood with a grin. "Working together, of course."
"What is the plan exactly, Blueblood?" Tirek said, a smile appearing on his face. "I'm ready to have revenge on Princess Twilight and her friends for what they did to foil me getting their magic. Especially having revenge on Discord... the pitiful fool."
Blueblood chuckles again, setting his eye out onto the ocean's horizon with a cruel, clever smile on his face. "You two might know about this, but..." He opened his mouth, pausing for a moment and then turning to the centaur and filly, the Aria of Darkness being sheathed onto his back.
"...have you ever unlocked the way into the Multiverse?"
The stallion took a few steps back, pressing his horn onto the Aria's pommel which channeled magic throughout the blade itself, firing out a beam that stopped in the middle across the beachside at the shallow waters, where a portal to many other generations of pony were as it seemed.
The three were about to open a new door... a door to another generation.
"And somepony in one universe... is bound to help us, one way or another..."
