Chapter 2: Brawlers and Bakugan, Friends Forever

In a separate part of Wardington sat a two story house similar to that of a lot of the brawlers and other kids in the area. But what set this house in particular apart from its peers was the fact that it sat nestled between the town and its local Shinto Shrine. Red Torii gates framed the house's backyard.

In said backyard were two girls, twins, specifically. Both had the same shade of black hair, fair skin, the same amber eyes, and even slightly pointed ears. Both of them were also wearing priestess uniforms, but that was where the similarities more or less ended.

One of the twins had her hair tied up in a ponytail while the other didn't.

These girls were Hinoa and Minoto Hirashi, the local priestesses at the shrine that neighbored their house and its caretakers. They took care of the shrine during their time after school, but it wasn't all they did.

For you see, these girls were avid Bakugan brawlers.

"Glad we finished. Now we can get some Brawling done!" Hinoa exclaimed excitedly, the two having finished taking care of the shrine for the day.

"It has been a long day…" Minoto sighed as she wiped her brow, propping herself up with a broom.

As the girl's went into the shrine's wash room to clean and change into regular clothes, it soon became clear that both of them were quite well figured. Though Hinoa seemed to have a more ample bosom and more voluptuous figure in comparison to her sister.

After the two got covered in a couple towels, they went and grabbed their Bakugan gear. They then walked into their house and up to their room, where they saw their father, Sekiro Hirashi, as he was busy tidying himself up for what seemed like something important.

"What are you getting dressed up all nice for, dad?" Hinoa asked as she adjusted her towel around her chest, wondering what the occasion was.

"Oh, hello girls." The man nodded at his daughter as he adjusted his tie. The man looked similar to his girls but lacked their pointed ears and had brown eyes instead of amber ones, additionally his black hair had a bit of a salt and pepper look to it, showing that he was at least in his forties. "Well, I happen to be getting ready for a date tonight." He explained.

"With who?" Minoto asked.

"A really beautiful woman who's also trying to get back in the dating game after her own husband passed away some years ago." Sekiro replied as he checked a few things. "She has three sons, one's currently in college, another is in elementary school, and the third is about your ages." He continued.

"Ooh! Maybe there's a chance we could meet them!" Hinoa gasped in glee, eager to meet the three boys in question.

"Hinoa, if it goes well he'd be our stepbrother. Not your latest boyfriend." Minoto told her sister.

"I know, I know." The obviously excited girl replied placatingly. "But there's nothing wrong with meeting potential step family members in advance." She added.

"No, I suppose not." The more mature of the two mused, stroking her chin.

As they were talking, Sekiro couldn't help but chuckle at the situation before their doorbell rang. "That's likely her." He nodded, before looking at his still towel clad daughters. "Now, can you two please put some clothes on?" He questioned.

"Oh! Sorry, dad!" The twins gasped in unison before rushing to their rooms.

Shaking his head, Sekiro went to answer the door. When he saw Kita, he swore his heart skipped a few beats. She was absolutely gorgeous!

"I hope you don't mind me being a bit early. My second eldest son got home sooner than I expected so I left a few minutes earlier than I planned." The woman said, stepping inside the man's house.

"Oh, that's fine." Sekiro nodded, quickly composing himself before he could become a drooling idiot. "Anyway, do you have any particular spots you'd like to go to?" He asked.

"I know a few that's just a bit out of the way, but those can wait. What about you?" Kita questioned as she turned to face him.

"I can think of a few places myself." The man replied as he looked over the woman's shoulder and saw his daughters walking down the stairs in more casual attire.

Minoto was in a yellow blouse with a white skirt and similarly colored stockings and black flats. Her brawler gloves were also white and went up to her forearms. She also had on a white Bakugan holder and a Mothra styled Bakupod on her wrist.

Hinoa, meanwhile, was dressed far less conservatively. She dressed herself in a purple midriff-baring crop top jacket and matching booty shorts, with white fingerless gloves that covered her forearms. She was also wearing headphones and a portable music player attached to her right shoulder. She was also wearing white high heeled boots that matched her gloves. Lastly she had her belt hanging diagonally on her hip with her Bakugan holster on her left and a Battra styled Bakupod on her right wrist.

The only thing these two had in common with their outfits, was a single Mothra symbol earring, one gold and one silver on either ear.

"Hey dad, we-re– Oh wow!" Hinoa started to say before seeing Kita and gasping. "Uh, quick question: Is your hair naturally green?" She asked, wondering if it was a lot of hair dye, or actually all natural.

"Yes, in fact, all three of my sons inherited my hair." Kita replied. "Though that seems to be the extent of it, the rest they inherited from their father." She replied.

"Interesting." Minoto hummed.

"Where're you two off to in such a hurry?" Sekiro questioned as the girls approached the door.

"The park, we heard about some crazy stuff that's been happening there so we wanted to check it out." Hinoa replied.

"Just make sure you two are careful. It could be dangerous." Their father told them, worrying for their safety.

"I think we should be telling you that." Minoto told him. "After all, there's plenty of tales of men not coming home after being out at night with a beautiful woman." She added, looking knowingly at Kita.

"Oh give me some credit, girls, I know how to show restraint." The mother of three retorted, rolling her eyes.

"Are you sure? You did have three kids, so how do we know that's true?" Hinoa teased with a grin.

"Three children over the course of thirty years of marriage." Kita stated, letting that speak for itself.

"Aw man, she beat me..." The more outgoing twin pouted in defeat.

"Alright girls, that's enough. You better get going." Sekiro chuckled as they all stepped out the door.

"Right. Have fun, dad." Minoto nodded as they went their separate ways for the time being.

(Later)

Later on as the sun began to set, the two sisters met back up at the fountain after a bit of searching, having not found anything of interest during that time period.

"I found nothing. Did you find anything of note, Hinoa?" Minoto asked as the twins sat down on a bench.

"I'm in the same boat as you, sadly." Hinoa sighed. She had hoped something would come up, but no such luck. "Aw man! This bites!" She groaned as they both sat on the fountain edge. "This really stinks, I'd heard that a lot of cool Bakugan had been popping up left and right all over the place—and so far we got nothing." The girl sighed.

As if Murphy's name was invoked, a bright light appeared before the twins, causing them to cover their eyes to avoid going blind. A moment later, it faded, and when the two looked in the light's direction, they saw two Bakugan floating down toward them.

Quickly, the two caught the two floating orbs, and seconds later, they opened, revealing what looked to be a white, orange and black butterfly-like Bakugan with blue eyes and a similar one that was colored black, red and orange with purple eyes and orange horns.

"Oh my. Who are you two?" Minoto wondered, looking down at the white, orange and black moth Bakugan with interest. For reasons unknown, she felt a strong connection with it.

The two Bakugan looked at each other and then at the two girls before they actually spoke. "I am Mothra, and this is my sister Battra." The first of them replied. "For reasons unknown we seem to have found ourselves here in these peculiar forms, and to which purpose we do not know." She added.

The twin sisters shared a glance for a brief moment before Minoto spoke.

"I think we may be able to explain that." Minoto told them.

"We just hope you can handle what we're about to say." Hinoa nodded.

"How big of a deal can it be, really?" Battra questioned, not thinking it was a big deal.

The twins looked at each other before looking at their new partners again.

"Pretty big." They replied in unison.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile, in another part of Wardington, two other girls were making their way home as well. But this time it wasn't on foot, it was in a limo. The two girls in question were riding in the back of the car and were busy looking at their phones, not really paying attention to what was going on.

"Man, there's not a whole lot going on outside of some crazy Bakugan appearances." One of them sighed. "Jewels, got anything?" She asked, looking at her sister.

"I got zilch, Jenny." The other girl sighed in reply.

This was Jenny and Jewels, international J-pop stars who were pretty much also Bakugan pariahs.

Jenny was a girl with fuchsia hair and blue eyes as well as naturally porcelain skin.

She wore overalls that show her shoulder blades and part of her stomach and back, as well as a yellow skirt that shows her legs and her short blue shorts underneath. Additionally a yellow and blue necklace, blue boots, blue arm coverings, blue socks, and blue jewel earrings accented the outfit. Her BakuPod, meanwhile, was on her left hand.

Jewls, meanwhile, had green hair and brown eyes. She wore a black necklace and yellow earrings that went with the white and pink robe with a blue belt and pink boots she typically wore. Her bakupod was on her right arm.

"Ugh, this is boring." The fuchsia haired girl groaned, not liking how bored she felt.

It wasn't long before the limousine stopped in front of a larger house outside of town, allowing the girls to get out. As they started walking up the drive to their front door, a familiar Russian girl came into view.

"Hey, Zina!" Jenny smiled as she hugged the girl in question.

"Wuzzup, cuz? You have a good day on the town?" Jewels added, hugging her cousin as well.

"It was certainly productive. I met someone I didn't expect to meet." Zina nodded in reply with a smirk.

"Really? Who?" The girls questioned as their eyes lit up.

"Runo Misaki, from the Battle Brawlers." Their cousin replied.

"Wha–?! You met her?!" The two pop stars gasped in unison.

"I was getting myself some food, and walked into her parent's cafe by chance." The Russian girl shrugged casually. "Why do you seem surprised? Overall you two are more famous than her." She noted as they walked inside.

"Outside of the Bakugan community." Jenny corrected.

"Inside it Runo is practically the queen of Bakugan." Jewels added.

"I guess I should've expected that as an answer." Zina mused before her aunt (Jenny and Jewels' mom) walked into the room.

The woman had blonde hair, mocha skin, blue eyes and a figure that made her a MILF, especially with the buxom bust she was sporting along with shapely, love handled hips, thick thighs and generously proportioned heart shaped ass.

Attire wise, she had a sleeveless white shirt on and a pair of blue jeans, with two pearl necklaces that were so common an accessory among eligible MILF cougars, and a pair of large round gold earrings.

"Oh girls, you're home, good." The woman said as she walked towards them.

"Good evening, Aunt Mina." Zina smiled.

"Hello, my dear niece." The older woman smiled back before looking at her daughters. "Today was productive, I hope?" She questioned.

"For me it was, though I'm not sure about Jenny and Jewels." The girl replied, looking at her cousins.

"We got a lot done in the studio, but it was pretty boring, otherwise." Jewels sighed.

"Yeah." Jenny nodded. "It really sucks." She added.

"Well, as for myself, I'm thinking of going down the road to the bar to see if I can't find a man that's good enough to make a good stepfather for you young ladies." Mina said as she leaned down in front of the vanity, applying some skin tone lipstick as her whopping rack bounced inside her shirt.

"Here's hoping he won't be a deadbeat asshole." Jenny mused with a shrug.

"Or one of those guys who wants the mom and the daughters." Jewels added with a noticeable shudder.

"I'm fairly certain that's just in mature films, Jewels." Zina stated reassuringly.

"Oh. Right." The girl blinked.

"Well, you girls stay safe now. See you later." Mina told them as she left, allowing the three to head up to their room.

However, as the three settled down, Zina set Zilla on her nightstand—and took notice of two odd looking Bakugan on her cousin's' night stands that weren't there before.

One was blue as the sea, and had printing of fins on it. The other was brown, and had what seemed to be horns, but Zina couldn't tell for certain.

"Hey, Jenny, Jewels, did you happen to go to the Bakugan store today?" The girl asked.

"No, why?" Jenny replied, shaking her head.

"Because these were on your night stands." Her cousin replied as she picked up the two orbs in question and showed them to the two.

"What the…?" Jewels uttered with a confused look on her face as she took the brown colored Bakugan while her sister took the blue one. "Definitely didn't get these." She reaffirmed.

"Yeah, I mean, I've never even seen a Bakugan like this before."Jenny nodded, looking the orb in her hand over.

"What are they, then?" The Russian Bakugan brawler wondered. Right at that moment, the two in question opened up, revealing the forms of a sea dragon that looked similar to a Bakugan Jenny saw on the web: Abis Omega and an armadillo-like ball form similar to a Bakugan Jewels saw on the web: Tortonium or perhaps a Juggernoid. But this one had spikes like an ankylosaur, like how the Aquos Bakugan had small arms like a Chinese dragon.

"Who, what, where?!" The ankylosaur-like Bakugan gasped, as if shooting awake via some kind of unseen jolt.

"Where are we?!" The Chinese sea dragon gasped.

"Easy there, gents, we're not hurting you." Zina told them as her cousins held the Bakugan in a more comfortable position in their hands.

"Yeah. We just found you here by chance." Jenny nodded.

"What's the last thing you two remember?" Jewels asked.

"Some kind of wormhole sucking in everyone on monster island." The ankylosaur replied, recalling what last happened before he blacked out. Those last two words caused the three girls to freeze.

"Monster Island?" Jenny questioned.

"Like in the movies?" Jewels continued.

"Does that mean you three know each other?" Zina added as she showed Zilla, who popped open in her palm.

"Zilla? You too?" Anguirus asked in light surprise.

"Yep. Happened while I was tunneling." The raptor-like Kaiju nodded in reply. "At least the three of us are together. What about the others?" He questioned.

"We are unsure of that, unfortunately." Manda replied with a sigh. "I hope Goji-kun and Junior are okay…" She mused in worry as she looked out the window.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile, in the skyscraper home of one Choji "Marucho" Makamura, the Aquos loving bookworm was currently in the process of surfing the web whilst talking to his friends, the other brawlers.

"So I met the weirdest kid in the park today." Dan piped up.

"Who'd you meet?" Marucho asked.

"Someone named Shirogane Hiroshima." The Pyrus Brawler replied. "When he started a Bakugan Brawl against a guy in the neighborhood, he just turned into a different person compared to before it started." He explained.

"Yes, his sudden change in attitude was rather strange to see." Drago nodded.

"Were there any visible differences when it happened?" Runo questioned.

"His eye color seemed to change, but that was pretty much it." The brown haired boy replied after a moment of thought.

"You too, huh?" Shun noted as he popped into the chat.

"Oh hey, Shun. Glad you finally decided to join us." Dan greeted sarcastically.

"Can the sarcasm, Dan, I've been busy." The ninja replied. "Anyway, I also met a weird kid too. One who crashed into my backyard out of nowhere." He continued.

"Uh, is that supposed to be a joke?" Preyas questioned.

"Oh no, he's being completely literal." Skyress responded.

"Right. He was gliding around with a modified variant of Leonardo da Vinci's glider when a draft made him crash, apparently." The ninja boy elaborated with a nod.

"… That actually sounds rather ingenious." Marucho mused.

"His name was Magnus Fowl, we talked for a bit and it turns out we have a lot in common." Shun explained. "His family's actually a quarter Japanese on his mother's side, only his family tree is really tied up with samurai rather than ninjas." He continued. "The rest is either German or American and apparently almost every member of his family has been in either the navy or Air Force at one point." He added.

"That explains the love of flying." Runo nodded.

"But what I found weird was that he's also being raised by his grandfather." Shun stated. "Because apparently he lost both his mom and his dad at a young age. So he's been living with his old former Kamikaze grandpa ever since." He added.

"... Uh, are you kidding about the Kamikaze part, Shun?" The Aquos brawler asked nervously.

"No. His grandfather is a former Japanese Kamikaze pilot from World War II that somehow never died." The ninja replied. "Don't ask me how, mainly because Magnus and his grandfather himself aren't sure, either." He added, sounding a tad baffled.

"But that isn't the strangest part, isn't it Shun?" Skyress noted. "Tell them about the Bakugan we met." She continued.

"Huh?" Runo uttered, confused.

"There was a Bakugan in my backyard garden that I hadn't noticed before." The Ventus Brawler explained. "When Magnus asked for his name, he said it was Rodan." He added, causing the rest of the group to gasp.

"Wait a minute, are you talking about the same Rodan from the Godzilla movies?!" Dan questioned with wide eyes.

"Uh, Godzilla-what now?" Preyas questioned, getting nods of confusion from the rest of the Brawlers Bakugan.

"It's several decades worth of movies centered around a monster that represents the devastation humanity's nuclear weapons can bring." Julie explained. "At least, that's what the very first film was about." She added.

"Right. After that, more and more movies were made, and now Godzilla, or Gojira, is considered an icon." Marucho picked up. "At this point, everyone on Earth has labeled him the King of the Monsters." He added.

"Any creature who gets given such a title must've truly proven themselves worthy of it." Tigrerra remarked.

"Right, and Rodan was one of many other monsters that came from the franchise." Marucho nodded. "But… If Rodan is here, does that mean…?" He trailed off, letting the rest of the group figure out the rest of his question.

"It may be possible. But I shudder to think how strong Kaiju in Bakugan form could be in the wrong hands." Alice shuddered.

"I concur." Drago nodded in agreement.

"Let's hope Masquerade didn't get any Daikaiju, assuming they're appearing, too." Julie gulped.

"Ghidorah being one especially dire case." Marucho nodded.

"Ya know, come to think of it, there's this girl I met at my parent's restaurant today who also found a Kaiju Bakugan." Runo noted, remembering Zina. "Her name was Zina Raliakov, she's here from Russia, and is apparently staying with her aunt." She added.

"Who'd she find?" The brains of the group questioned.

"Zilla, I think." The Haos brawler replied.

"The American Godzilla?" Alice asked with a blink.

"I'm pretty sure Zilla was killed off in Final Wars." Shun noted in a musing tone.

"That's besides the point." Dan interjected. "What we need to do is keep our eyes and ears open for any more Kaiju Bakugan that pop up." He added.

"I can concur with Dan's assessment." Marucho nodded. "It would be best to bring these brawlers into our group so that we can study their Bakugan while also keeping them safe and keeping them out of Masquerade and Naga's hands." He added.

"Right." The rest of the group chorused.

It was then that Marucho got a message at the side of his screen from a friend of his.

"Oh, I gotta go, guys. Talk to you later!" The blonde told the brawlers as he logged off.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile, in a dark, blindshaded room in a two story house in the countryside of England—similar in style to the house of Alice Gehavic—a single computer screen barely illuminated a solitary figure hunkered down in front of said screen whilst swaddled in a blanket burrito tent and surrounded by piles of trash.

Said girl was blonde with her hair tied up in twin ponytails by two medium sized blue beads. Said hair was dirty and disheveled, however, a clear sign that it hadn't been washed in awhile.

Her green eyes—which didn't look much better—stared blankly at the screen before her, absently scrolling through page after page, dark bags being clearly visible around them from an obvious lack of sufficient sleep.

It was also obvious that she hadn't changed her clothes in a while, either, as she was just wearing green pajamas right now—and they looked like they hadn't been washed or even taken off since she first put them on.

The girl looked like she hadn't been taking care of herself in the slightest and just seemed to be wasting away, as if she'd just completely given up on living her life at all.

'How dare he…' She thought, trying to muster some spark of anger, but couldn't.

Let's take a step back and have a look at what caused this girl to land in this predicament…

(Flashback)

The same girl was currently standing in front of the Bakugan tournament arena, looking healthier and dressed in a purple dress and black stockings with brown loafers, and facing someone in front of her.

And that someone seemed to be Shun Kazami.

"Who are you, exactly?" The ninja questioned as he got a gate card ready.

"My name is Katie Lowery, and I've come to ask for your help." The girl replied, the Bakugan on her shoulder—a Haos Bakugan who looked like Preyas in ball form, but had the head of a Dragonoid with a single nose horn—looked at her before facing Shun with her.

"And what could you possibly need my help with?" Shun questioned once more.

"Masquerade issued a challenge to me. I need help to get ready for him." Katie explained in reply.

"... Fine, I'll help you." The ninja nodded, brandishing a gate card. "But only if you can beat me." He added with a firm look.

"What?" The girl questioned. "You can't be serious." She protested.

"Are you in, or out?" The ninja questioned coldly.

'This is going to be hard.' Katie thought with a gulp as she got a field card ready.

"Field Open!" The two called as they set their respective gate cards. "Gate card set!" They called.

"Bakugan brawl!" The blonde girl called, throwing one of her Haos Bakugan out to play. "Terrorclaw stand!" She added as the clawed Bakugan rose with a roar.

"Haos Terrorclaw enters battle with 320Gs. Awaiting other player." Shun's Bakupod buzzed.

"So, she's a Haos brawler." Skyress mused.

"It won't make a difference." Shun scoffed before making his move. "Bakugan Brawl! Falconeer stand!" He called, his falcon themed Bakugan rose with a screech.

"Falconeer enters battle with 350Gs. Field advantage tied." Katie's bakupod buzzed as a white, yellow and green Bakugan floated in front of her.

It had the same open head hood and general ball design of a Preyas-like Bakugan, but instead had a lizard-like head similar to a dragonoid, with a single nose horn. Additionally its secondary colors that colored its head, neck and claws were all green.

"Throwing a Bakugan at the opposite end of the field away from his opponent. He's trying to play you." The chameleon-like Bakugan noted, his voice sounding like Immaru from Destiny 2.

"I know, Chamelia." Katie nodded back, her brow furrowed slightly. "Gotta figure out how to get around him." She added, trying to come up with a plan. "Gate card set!" She called, setting a gate card next to Falconeer. "Bakugan Brawl!" She continued as she threw another Bakugan. "Serpenoid Stand!" She added as the snake rose up and hissed.

"Serpenoid enters battle with 330Gs. No other data currently available." Shun's bakupod buzzed.

"So she's trying to avoid being played." The ninja muttered analytically. "Alright, I'll play along." He nodded, pulling out a card. "Gate card set!" He continued. "Bakugan Brawl! Ravenoid Stand!" He added as a second bird Bakugan appeared.

"Ravenoid enters battle at 360Gs." Katie's bakupod buzzed.

"Alright, Chamelia, you're up." The girl said as she grabbed her partner and readied her shot right at Falconeer. "Bakugan Brawl!" She yelled as a power shot caused her Bakugan to fly through the air right at the Falconeer and nail it hard between the eyes—earning a sphere attack!

"Sphere Attack! Falconeer power reduction 50Gs!" Shun's bakupod alerted.

"Bakugan Stand!" She added as a giant Chameleon-like Dragonoid adjacent Bakugan rose up.

He looked similar to that of Preyas in terms of body structure, but with long arms that dragged along with ground, fused webbed hands, and a long neck with a three horned Draconic head similar to a Jackson's chameleon with teeth. It also had a long spiraled tail and was partially rolled up and a long dangling purple tongue that contrasted the green underbelly that accented his overall white body and purple eyes.

"Chamelia enters battle at 375 Gs. No attribute detected for this Bakugan. Abilities unknown." The machine informed.

"A Bakugan without an attribute?!" Shun gasped, not expecting this development.

"A White One. Yes, I've heard of them." Skyress nodded. "They tend to live short lives and die quickly. The Chamelia species in particular can copy everything about a Bakugan right down to their abilities." She continued. "Curious, though, I thought they were all extinct." She mused.

"If what you know rings true, then we need to be extra careful this time." Shun summed up before holding up an ability card for Falconeer. "Ability Card Activate, Violent Sever Windstorm!" He called as a tornado funneled around his Falconeer.

"Chamelia power level decrease by 50Gs. Falconeer power level returned to 350Gs." The machine buzzed.

"Gate card open!" Katie called as it suddenly became a command card. "Grand Down!" She added as Falconeer's tornado dissipated and the chameleon Bakugan was able to grab his opponent with his tail.

"Grand Down command card power reduction 100Gs." The watch explained.

"Oh no!" Shun exclaimed as Chamelia slammed the bird Bakugan down before sending it flying with a tail smash, returning to Katie soon after.

"Bakugan brawl!" Shun called as he sent Skyress to the gate card with Ravenoid on it. "Bakugan stand!" He added, getting the card and his Bakugan back.

"Double Stand. Match tied." The bakupod stated.

"Hm…" Katie hummed as she went through her options. "Alright, Bakugan Brawl!" She called as she threw Chamelia down onto Terrorclaw's card, earning her a double stand.

"Double Stand. Advantage Katie." The ninja's Bakupod buzzed.

Shun couldn't help but scowl at this development as he grabbed Skyress and thumbed her over in his hand. "Alright, Skyress, make this count! Bakugan Brawl!" He yelled as the ball was sent flying at Katie's Serpenoid and nailing it square in the head, causing it to be sent flying and back into its ball form.

"Critical KO. Match tied." The machine on Katie's wrist beeped.

"Hmph." The blonde scoffed. "Bakugan Brawl! Chamelia stand!" She called as her attribute neutral partner rose up.

"Bakugan Brawl! Skyress stand!" Shun called as he threw his Bakugan down, revealing the green Phoenix Bakugan in all her viridian glory.

"I've never fought a White One before. This should prove interesting." The green phoenix remarked.

"You won't be thinking that in a minute." The chameleon Bakugan responded.

"Gate Card Open!" Shun called as his gate card revealed itself to be Skyress' character card.

"Not so fast! Ability Card Activate!" Katie called. "Persona Lizard!" She added as Chamelia stated to slowly change shape until it resembled Skyress right down to the finest detail.

"Power levels even." Both of their bakupods buzzed, both Bakugan at a matching level of 880Gs.

"Ability Card—!" Shun began before Katie interrupted him.

"Too slow! Green Nobility Violent Wind!" She said as Chamelia was engulfed in green fire as its power level went up 200Gs and it collided with Skyress head on.

Shun, for his part, had a look of disbelief on his face as Skyress was sent back to him in ball form. He didn't think the mimicry would be so literal!

"So, I beat you. Now are you gonna help me get ready for Masquerade?" Katie questioned as Chamelia went back to her while the battlefield disappeared.

Shun was silent for a moment as he looked at Skyress' ball form in his palm, before clenching it tightly.

"Sorry, kid. But I don't have time to tutor newbies." The shinobi brawler told her as he pushed past her.

"What?!" Katie shouted angrily as she followed after him. "You promised to–!" She started to protest as he rounded a corner, and when she followed, he was nowhere in sight. "That little backstabbing ninja cockbite!" She cursed.

"It's like I've been telling you, Katie—." Her partner told her from her pocket.

(Flashback End)

"You can't trust anyone else. Only yourself." The girl muttered to herself as she stared at the image on her screen, that being of Chamelia, both in ball and monster form.

"Chamelia sent to Doom Dimension." The computer beeped.

This whole outcome was a result of Shun refusing to live up to his promise. Because of his refusal to help get Katie ready, Masquerade trounced her, and now Chamelia was gone forever. The ordeal sent her into a depression, which she's been trapped in ever since.

However, there were a few things that kept her going.

One was her talks with a friend of hers online, a friend who just so happened to enter a video call with her at that moment. Though he couldn't see what she looked like because the blonde covered her camera.

"Hey, Katie. Are you hanging in there?" The friend in question asked.

"Barely, but thanks for asking, anyway." Katie replied with a halfhearted smile.

"I figured." The person sighed. "Losing your Bakugan partner was basically the same as losing a family member. You'll feel it for a long time…" They mused.

"Like what happened with you and Preyas, before you were able to get him back?" Katie questioned as the person on the other end came into focus, revealing that it was none other than Marucho.

"Yeah. Like that." Marucho sighed with a nod. "Unfortunately, if what I've heard about the White Ones is true, then Chamelia is more than likely dead by now." He added with a sad look on his face.

"I know…" Katie sighed as she looked down. "Thanks for calling, Marucho. It made me feel a bit better." She told him.

"You really needed it." The Aquos Brawler nodded in response. "I do hope you'll get better soon, though. Seeing you in this slump doesn't make me feel good." He added.

"Aw, thanks." The girl smiled as the two hung up, but soon as they hung up, Katie's features darkened.

That was the other thing that kept the girl going: her overwhelming desire for revenge.

From her standpoint, Shun's lack of selflessness doomed Chamelia. It left her in this state of depression and left her feeling broken.

"Shun Kazami… Mark my words, you will feel my pain…" She hissed softly. "You and that bastard Masquerade." She added.

"Maybe we can help each other, then." A new voice spoke up, causing the blonde to blink before looking around.

"Who said that?" She questioned, unable to find the voice's owner.

"Someone who knows the insatiable feeling of a thirst for vengeance all too well." The voice responded, causing Katie to slowly follow it, before taking notice of the fact that it was coming from her book shelf. "You want vindication, don't you? Restitution, retribution? A price to be paid for what you've lost?" It continued as she walked towards the shelf.

"... Yeah, I do want that." Katie nodded as she stopped in front of her bookshelf… and stared at the Bakugan sitting at the third from the top shelf.

Sad Bakugan was dark blue, maroon and white in color, and had the vague resemblance of a Saurus. There were also what looked like protrusions coming from his shoulders. There were also what looked like spines running down his back

"Then we have a partnership going." The Bakugan nodded.

"We do." The blonde nodded. "Who are you?" She questioned.

"I have many titles, child." The Bakugan responded. "But most of you humans refer to me as Space Godzilla." The now identified space Kaiju answered in reply.

This surprised Katie quite a bit, as she nearly fell over and hit her head on the floor in shock.

"I'm sorry, HUH?!" She stammered, her eyes wide. Apparently this was enough for her depression to leave her for the moment.

"You heard me, girl. I am the heart of a dying star given flesh, the petrified potential of a black hole made manifest, the Crystal King. I am Space Godzilla and your puny human eyes do not deceive you." The beast told her. "So you would best choose your future words carefully, because I can and will destroy you if you displease me—even if I am in this… Preposterously small form." He added.

"Uh… Right." Katie sweatdropped. Small ball form or not, one didn't simply underestimate a Kaiju and expect to live.

"I may only know a little about these creatures you call Bakugan. But I can feel that every time one is sent to the place you call the Doom Dimension, their power is tithed to me, making me stronger." The Galactic lizard stated.

This caught Katie's attention.

"I feed on the Bakugan I send to the Doom Dimension. Much like I will do to your precious Chamelia." A voice from a bad memory sneered in her head.

'That's exactly like Hydranoid…!' She gasped mentally before a dark smirk grew on her face. 'That's exactly what I'll need to get revenge on Shun!' She realized.

"So it's tribute you want?" The blonde questioned as she got up, putting Space Godzilla on her desk. "Alright then. I can do that." She nodded as started getting undressed.

"Oh? And how do you propose we do that?" The Kaijugan questioned, seemingly unphased as the girl stood nude before him before she picked him up again, her perky B-cup chest visible to him as she entered her bathroom and entered the shower.

"Simple, we start sending Bakugan to the Doom Dimension. That way with the more that we send there, the stronger you'll get as their power is tithed to you directly." Katie responded as she started scrubbing herself clean.

"I see what you're implying." The Cosmic Kaiju nodded. "And it sounds like we have a lot to do." He added.

"You are far from wrong." Katie chuckled, moving on to scrubbing her hair with her back turned to her new partner, leaving her peach shaped ass in clear view, though like before it seemed like the space lizard didn't care in the slightest.

"Well then, I suppose that means we'll have to find someone who can give us a method of sending these Bakugan to the Doom Dimension." He mused as Katie started rinsing herself off.

"No need. I already have one in mind." She told him as she finished cleaning herself up. "And it involves joining up with the bastard that sent my previous partner there." She added.

"Oh, earning his trust and then stabbing him in the back." Space Godzilla chuckled darkly. "And we can get revenge on the other one who alighted you as we go. I like it." He nodded in approval. "You have quite the devious mind, girl." He added.

Katie picked him up as she wrapped herself in a towel before she flung open her closet and started pulling out clothes.

"Girl isn't going to cut it, SG." The blonde told him. "My name is Katie, you can call me that, and nothing else." She added as she started dressing herself in her chosen outfit.

Said outfit was actually a purple leotard, a pair of white short shorts over that, with a matching white jacket, a pair of purple stockings and a pair of black shoes. Lastly she also had a Space Godzilla themed Bakupod as well.

Taking a pair of scissors from her drawers, the girl looked at herself in the mirror and proceeded to give herself a haircut. Several snips and her formerly waist length hair was now gone—leaving her with a platinum blonde bob cut that made her bangs hang at a left angle.

She basically looked like a younger version of Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

"Hmph, very well, then." The Bakugan huffed as the girl finished her new look with a pair of white and purple fingerless brawler gloves. "Shall we go look for this Masquerade?" He questioned.

"We will." The girl responded as she gathered her ability and gate cards—but no Bakugan, since she'd given those to the Bakugan store awhile ago. "But first, we need to get you some brawling partners." She continued as she put him in her jacket pocket. "And I know just the place—." She added as her face became darkened by a shadow while her red painted lips curled into a wicked smirk. "The Bakugan Store." She finished as they left the room behind.

Dragon Emperor0: That's another trio of Bakugan introductions done. Guess that just leaves Gigan, Megalon, Megagauris, Biollante and Monster X. Then it'll be onto more plot relevant matters.

ThermalsniperN7: And we brought in someone from the Bakugan manga… Please let us know what you guys think of how we plan to handle her. Also, it took us a good few days to get this done due to IRL shenanigans.

Dragon Emperor0: A home remodel, sleep schedule and the start of college all kinda got stuff going wonky this week, so—sorry for the delay. Hopefully it won't be too much of a recurrence.

ThermalsniperN7: Here's hoping. Anyway, see you guys next time.
