Someone seemed to doubt my ability to kill Nashi again.

How dare you.

I kid. Or do I?

Enjoy!

Drake felt like he was back at the ruins of Mt. Olympus a year ago.

He felt his stomach constricting and turning violently as his mind was unable to get rid of the image. The image of himself sending a fist through Nashi's midsection. She was dying again, and he'd let it happen. He'd let his guard down, not checked that the Shades were gone, and let it happen. It was his fault.

And he channelled that anger into his fight. He flew at Zoe with an intensity he could feel literally burning away at him. He ignored the searing pain all over his body, from his feet to his teeth, that told him something was wrong. He didn't have the time to fight it off, he needed to incapacitate these two, and now.

And he was going to start with Zoe.

He flew at the girl in a rage, slashing and throwing poison at her. She used her wings to fly up and away from him, but this forced her to evade Gray's attacks with an icy bow. He could register the fact that Natsu was keeping Ben busy, but he didn't care. He was going to force these two to obey them if he had to beat them half to death. He was consumed by anger. Poison coated his dragon claws and he slashed upwards at Zoe, who had to dodge both this attack and Gray's. She landed farther away, and Drake launched himself at her in a frenzy. He clawed at her arms and body, leaving bloody marks all over her. He could see his poison entering her blood stream, which would slow her down and eventually kill her lest he did something.

He didn't plan on doing anything.

"Get away from me already!" Zoe shouted, a pulse of shadows forcing Drake away. He didn't give her a chance to breathe, taking a deep breath.

"Poison Dragon Roar!" He shouted, the stream of poison flying right for he. Zoe dodged him, but he had expected that and flew after her as she did so. She shot streams of darkness at him, but he swatted aside the ones that would do the most damage. Some hit him, but bounced off the scales that grew all over his body.

"Sound Burst!" Drake's spell sent off a discharge of screeching sounds, making Zoe grab for her ears in pain. He used this to his advantage and grabbed a hold of her. He reared back, making a fist with his clawed hand, and slammed it directly into her face. She made a choking sound, but Drake wasn't done. He reared back and slammed Zoe down into the earth, flying down and slamming his knee into her back. She flipped him off but he landed on his feet, making a whip of poison and flicking it at her relentlessly. She grabbed it with one hand and disintegrated it, before flying at him at record speeds. Drake dodged it easily using his Sound Magic, grabbing her by the leg.

"Poison Dragon Spiral Jaw!" Flipping upwards, he brought his legs down on the girls head, slamming her back down into the ground again. She once again scurried out of his way and grabbed at him with her arm. She reared back an delivered her own punch to Drake's face, which dazed him.

"It's cute watching you fight!" She said shrilly over the chaos around them as they grappled. "Tell me, Drake, do you really think you can win against a God?!"

"We beat Gods before!" Drake shouted back. Zoe just laughed.

"Is that what you think The Olympians were?!" She demanded as she kneed him in the gut and sent him flying over her head. "They were just posers! Taking on names that gave them power like that changed anything! Zomrus is a true God! Forgotten he may be, but Hades will raise him again! And he'll steer humanity down the right path!"

"Whatever path that is I want no part of it!" Drake shouted back as he corrected himself mid-air and aimed his fist downwards. "Poison Dragon Fang Strike!" He shot for the ground, but Zoe managed to evade him. She grabbed him as he got up, matching him hand-for-hand as they fought.

"Ever second you waste on me, you're precious Nashi dies!" She said gleefully. Blood roared in Drake's ears. "So by all means, keep fighting without trying to kill me! Why do you think Natsu and Gray couldn't keep us down?! If you don't fight to kill, don't fight!" As Drake stared at her face, something happened.

His rage peaked, his vision going red. A guttural roar escaped his lips, and he spat steaming poison directly into Zoe's eyes. She screeched and fell back, but he was all instinct. He grabbed her arm as she stumbled back and began assaulting her with punches. He lost count of how many he delivered to her midsection. Letting her go momentarily, he grabbed her by the back of the head and slammed her head into the ground. Before she could recover, he repeated the action over and over, slamming the young girls head into the stone. Over and over he hit her, the stone beneath cracking. He could see blood pooling on the ground around her face, but he didn't care. Rage roared in his ears, in his being. He was going to kill her, he had too. He had no other option. This girl had to die.

He could vaguely hear shouting somewhere around him, but he didn't care. Over and over, he slammed Zoe's face into her own blood. The smell of the blood was driving him crazy. He wanted more of it. He wanted this girl to hurt the way she'd hurt him. He wanted her to die.

"Drake!" It was Gray who pulled him off of Zoe, making him kick and roar angrily.

"Get off me!" He roared, Poison flying out of his mouth. "I'll kill her! Let me kill her!"

"Knock it off!" Gray shouted as he hit him in the back of the head, "It's done! We've restrained them both!" Drake could just barely see through his rage, but he could see Zoe had been pinned to the ground by Gray's ice, and Ben was been held in a choke hold by Natsu. The boy had tears in his eyes as he stared down at his sister, who was coughing into the pool of blood she was laying in. Her claw marks were a bad shade of green and purple, the poison working through her body slowly.

His rage began to dissipate slightly, and he regained control of himself. He stopped fighting Gray, and calmed down a little. Once his vision cleared, he got a good look at his arms and body. They were coated in purple scales, and his body hands had morphed into the claws of a dragon. His stomach turned at this. Had he accelerated it? Would this go back to normal? Thankfully, his prayers were answered. As Dragon Force deactivated, his hands slowly returned to normal. They were shaking as he stared down at them, his eyes flashing back to the claws they had just been.

"Drake..." Gray began slowly, "What just happened?" Drake swallowed hard.

"I don't know," he answered, "I...I couldn't see. I was really going to kill her."

"Yeah," Gray replied, "I can tell." There was a silence among them before Ben choked against Natsu's grip.

"Let me see my sister!" He shouted, "I need to save my sister!"

"Not a chance," Natsu said in his ear, his eyes murderous. "Not until you put my daughter back together." In his rage, Drake had almost forgot the situation they were in. Nashi was dying, struck by his own Shade. They needed Ben to cooperate, now.

"I can't unless you let me see her!" Ben shouted as tears streamed down his face, "I need to channel her power! Or else nothing will happen!"

"How can we trust you won't power her up?" Gray demanded.

"You can't!" Ben shouted, "But at this rate, Zoe and Nashi will die! Please!" Natsu and Gray exchanged a glance, and after a few seconds Ben was released. He scurried to his sisters side, grabbing a hold of her hand. A glow came from this contact, but Drake kept his eyes on them both. Slowly but surely the poison seemed to fade, the wounds turning back to simply that.

"Hey," Natsu said in a dangerous voice. "Start working on my girls, or else your sister gets another blow to the head." Ben winced at this, but raised his free hand and aimed it at Nashi and Luna. Drake turned to watch, but his stomach turned violently.

Luna was cradling Nashi in her arms, crying. Michael and Steph sat with her, stunned.

Had they been too late?

"Nashi hang on!" Luna shouted as she continued to funnel happy thoughts to her sister. "You're going to be fine! Fight it!" Nashi wasn't doing so well. Over the course of the brawl behind them she had grown worse and worse over time. Her eyes began to dim again, and the poison from the wound in her stomach was spreading. She was shaking, her body going cold.

"I...I can't see..." She said weakly, "W-Where am I...?"

"It doesn't matter!" Luna insisted, "Just focus on your breathing, okay?! In, and out. In, and out! Breathe with me, Nashi!" Nashi did her best to comply with the instructions, her chest rising and falling slowly. It was unsteady and barely working, but she tried her best. Nashi managed out a weak laugh.

"Brought down by a sneak attack..." She hissed, "How foolish of me, huh? And it was Drake's Shade of all things...Dumb of me..."

"Just breathe!" Luna insisted, her grip on her sisters hands tightening, "The others can incapacitate them, just hold on!" Nashi was silent for a time after this, but soon she turned to Steph.

"Steph..." She said weakly, "I...I'm sorry I died so soon after you came back, back then. That wasn't fair of me."

"D-Don't be stupid," Steph said, voice weak and shaky. There were tears streaming down her face, but she managed a weak smile. "You can make it up to me all you want after this." Nashi let out another laugh.

"After this..." She mused, "...right. Michael, I'm sorry for ignoring you...That wasn't fair of me. I treated you poorly because...because of my pride. I'm sorry."

"Stop apologising like you aren't going to make it!" Michael shouted at her, his face also covered in tears. "You're going to be fine, just stop talking and breathe!"

"It's so dark in here..." Nashi mused, "And cold...I...I'm so cold."

"Nashi!" Luna shouted, not able to take any more. She grabbed her sister and pulled her into her embrace, hugging her tightly in an attempt to share her warmth any way she could. "Please just wait! We can save you!"

"...Don't." Luna's eyes widened, and she slowly looked over at Nashi. Her eyes were still unfocused, but she stared at Luna directly. "Don't save me," she repeated.

"...W-What?" Luna croaked.

"I...I don't want you to save me," she whispered to her. "I can't keep living like this...Every day is a constant struggle. I...I don't want to do this anymore. I can't. After Tartarus, I...I don't have the strength to keep going. I can't keep fighting."

"That's fine," Luna said shakily, "I have enough strength for us both. I need you, Nashi I..." Her voice broke. "I can't lose you. Not before those kids put us back together!" Nashi coughed up blood, some of it landing on Luna's cheek. She ignored it. Nashi smiled at her.

"You know," she said, "I never...I never believed people when...When they said I was cute. But, looking at you...I think there's some truth to it."

"Was that an insult?" Luna asked weakly. Nashi let out a single huff, as if to laugh.

"Maybe," she said. "I...I'm tired of fighting, Luna...No one...No one ever told me it would be like this...That knowing magic...Would lead to this. I can't fight anymore. I just can't."

"Then let me fight for us!" Luna cried, "Let me do all the work!" She could hear a sickening crunch behind her, but she ignored it. "I need you Nashi! Don't leave me!" Nashi didn't save anything for quite some time, just staring up at her.

"Did Zoka and Ruli...Put all my best qualities in you?" She asked quietly. Luna shook her head.

"No, they're just our best qualities. Please, just keep breathing! The fight will be over soon, I promise!"

"The fight...Isn't over." Nashi replied, "it'll keep going after this, remember? More fighting...More Pain...I-I Can't fight it anymore Luna. They beat me."

"No!"

"Back in Tartarus, I...I wanted to die. I begged for it so many times, I...I couldn't bear it." Nashi's eyes drifted to the roof. "All I wanted was the release...To just die...Did Anhkseram hear me? Finally? After all this time praying and crying?"

"No he didn't hear anything!" Luna screamed, "just stay with me, Nashi! Come on! This isn't fair! You can't leave me! PLEASE!" Nashi struggled to look back at her, her face pale.

"Listen to me..." she said, "you need to be there for my family...They need their daughter back. They need her. I...I can't be there for them. I need you to be. Please."

"You can be there yourself!" Luna cried.

"No, I...I can't. Not anymore. Listen, Nashi-"

"You're Nashi!"

"No!...Not anymore. Nashi, listen to me. I don't care which one of us is the original. Just please, live for me...Live for the others. Live a life I'd be proud of."

"How can I do that when you're dead?!" Luna demanded. "Show me what to do when we're one again!"

"I...I was so angry at the idea of a sibling at first," Nashi said quietly. "When our Mom got pregnant, I thought...I thought they wanted a new start on their kid. But, knowing you, having you at my side...I was wrong. I love you. You were all that kept me going. I only fought for you, Luna. Promise me you'll live for me, Luna. Promise me." Luna gritted her teeth. She didn't want to say anything, but her heart compelled her too.

"I promise," she whispered. "I promise I'll...I promise I'll live enough for both of us." Nashi managed a smile and, for a second, looked like the old self Luna saw it photos.

"Thank you," she said. "Knowing that, I can...I can finally let go of this pain."

"Fight a little longer!"

"I..." Nashi faltered, "I can't...I...Blake? Is that you?...Ha, I can get you back for dying, you asshole...Ha, ha ha..." Nashi went limp in her arms. Luna stared at her in shock, unable to register what she was seeing. She gripped her sister tightly and hugged her, screaming and crying her name angrily. She rocked back and forth on her knees, trying desperate to raise her. Even so, she could tell from how cold the body was.

She was gone.

And then, she started to glow. Luna opened her eyes and stared at Nashi's corpse as it glowered, and then she began to glow as well. What was happening?

"Hurry up!" She heard Drake shout. She turned to see him screaming at Ben, who was aiming an open palm and her as he held Zoe's hand.

"I'm going!" Ben shouted, "But, well, the one is-"

"Go!" Drake shouted. Ben ignored him and worked. Luna began to feel warm inside. It was a comforting, welcome feeling in her grief.

And then, a splitting pain down the center of her being, and everything went black.

Drake watched as Nashi's unmoving body glowed, and began to merge with Luna. She stayed perfectly still as this happened, grief still etched on her face. Then, she collapsed, Michael catching her.

The two girls had become one again. Nashi's body was gone, and Luna remained.

"...Did it work, you hellspawn?" Natsu demanded down to Ben, who was still watching his sister.

"Of course it did," he snarled. "The girls are back in one piece. Give her a day or so, and she'll come out of it. Now please, release my sister!" Drake wanted to run to her side, but he couldn't right now. They still had a few problems to solve.

"Can't do that," Gray replied, "Gotta figure out what we're gonna do with you two first."

"Huh?" Ben asked, sounding stunned.

"Can't just let two Demon Lords wonder around," Gray mused, "So what will we do with-"

Someone was clapping.

Whirling around, Drake saw a man standing there. He recognised him all to well. The black hair, the black eyes. The suit that tied it all together.

"Hades," he snarled. The former Olympian smiled.

"Drake my boy," he said, "So wonderful to see you again! Tell me, have you been keeping my young ones entertained?" Where had he come from? There were no other entrances into this room, so he had to be teleported in.

"Master Hades!" Ben cried in relief. "You came for us!"

"Of course my boy," he said, "I can't very well let Fairy Tail have it's way with you, right?" What happened next happened in a flash. In a moment, Hades was alone on the other side of the room. The next, he was standing with Ben and Zoe, Zoe slung over his shoulder.

"What the-" Natsu started. "When did he do that?!"

"I am known to be quite fast," Hades said with a grin. His black hair was greased back, and Drake could've sworn he saw screaming faces rippling through it. "Like I said, I can't let you all have these two. Having them might solve too many problems."

"As in?" Gray demanded.

"None I'm telling you," Hades amended. "I'll congratulate you on putting your girl back together though, that was a spectacle. Although next time you may save some heartache by trying harder, Natsu, Gray." Both men grimaced at this.

"I'll show you how hard we can go," Gray said, tossing his shirt aside. Devil Slayer tattoos etched up his body. Natsu began to super-heat the air, clearly ready for a fight.

"I'm not fighting you two now," Hades said with a smirk. "Our battle is not ready to start. Know this, though: Next time we meet, I will defeat you both. Okay?" Before either of them could respond, Hades disappeared in the blink of an eye with both kids. This left everyone else standing around in the room, confused, hurt, or crying.

"C'mon," Natsu said finally, turning to his daughter's still form in Michael's arms. "Let's go home."

Here I go killing again! Or did I? Hm. This chapter wasn't exactly what I had envisioned in my mind, but I've learned they rarely often are. I dream bigger than my talent allows, sadly. I hope you all enjoy, leave a review! Let's try and get five!
