Chapter 250: Tickled Pink

The sun shone brightly on the beach one fine day. James and Molly were getting married, and everyone had spent the whole morning getting the scene just right. Everything was ready, but something was missing...

"Where's James? He should've been out of the dressing room by now?"

"Yeah, where is he? We literally can't do this without him."

"I'll go look for him. He's probably just nervous."

Gordon got up to look for James. Making his way to James's dressing room, he knocked on the door.

"Go away."

"James, come on. The wedding's about to start."

"I'm not coming. The wedding's off."

"Why?"

"There...there's been an accident."

"What kind of accident?"

"I don't want to say. You'll laugh at me."

"Oh, for the love of-James, if you don't open this door right now, I'm gonna break this door down and drag you to the altar myself! Whatever it is, I promise I won't laugh!"

"Alright, I'm coming out. DON'T LAUGH."

The door slowly creaked open, and Gordon almost broke his promise as he tried to contain himself. There, dressed in a hot pink suit, stood a very annoyed James.

"Oh, its one of those accidents."

"Stupid dry cleaners forgot to the check and a red sock got thrown in with my suit. I can't go out there dressed like this, everybody will laugh at me! I wouldn't want to marry me dressed like this!"

James plopped down right there on the ground, about to cry. Gordon sat down next to him, and placed his hand reassuringly on his shoulder, getting James to look at him...

And give him a chance to deck James right across the face.

"Ow! What was that for!"

"Really, James? This is what you're holding everyone up for? The love of your life is waiting out there to marry you, and you're worried about the color of the suit you're wearing?!"

"Well, when you say it like that, I guess it does sound kind of selfish."

Gordon sighed, facepalming so hard his whole face was red before he took a few deep breaths.

"Ok, look, I'll admit you look ridiculous..."

"Is that supposed to make me feel better? Because you're doing a horrible job."

"...But Molly won't care! Look James, love is about making compromises and accepting someone for who they are. If Molly can't past...this, then she doesn't deserve you."

James smiled, starting to feel a little bit better.

"Thanks, Gordon."

"Now come on, we've wasted enough time already."

At last, they reached the ceremony. Everyone was cross, but when they saw James's outfit they couldn't help but snicker at his predicament. Molly gave him a loving smile as he finally joined her.

"You want to talk about it?"

"Maybe later. Kind of a long story..."

"Say no more."

At long last, the ceremony had gotten underway. Soon, it was time for the vow. James went first.

"Molly, I'll be the first to admit I was never a very humble person. I used to always be obsessed with my looks, thinking I always had to look my best. But when I met you, I realized that it wasn't as important as I thought. You loved me for who I am, as I did you. And if my current attire isn't proof of that, then I promise to do everything in my power to prove it so."

Molly smiled, tears of joy running down her face as she began her own vows.

"James, you changed my life. When I came here, I was a mess, and afraid of my own shadow. I constantly doubted my own self worth, and probably would've ran home if you hadn't take me under your wing. I don't care about the color of your suit, nothing would make me happier than being your wife."

"James, do you take Molly to be your wife?"

"I do."

"Molly?"

"I do."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

James did just that, and everyone cheered. It truly was a happy day.
