A/N: Well been a bit of a while. Hope you guys don't hate me too much but regardless, let's get on with the show.

I was there again. That slab of land in the middle of a seemingly endless ocean. However, it was calm this time around. The waters lapped against the slab of land I stood on while the sky was still split, but the split was also oddly calm. One half was grey skies and the other half was burning bright blue. I was wondering why I was in here in the first place when the middle for the sky began swirling. The clouds on the left in the middle began making a circle. Within, a line of glowing yellow lines that began spinning around before shooting down and spinning around me, whipping up a raging storm of water, spraying me with a salty shower.

As the thing circled me, it roared and loud. It was almost ear splitting, I had to cover mine just to retain my hearing. The yellow lines blurred together with the black creature to make a psychedelic vision while the creature roared at me, spraying up more and more water, soaking me to the bone as it roared until a massive splash of water surged up and crashed down on me.

I jerked awake from my dream to find myself in the cabin again, but leaning back against the entrance I rubbed my eyes as I heard heavy footsteps land I front of me. I looked up to Thalia scowling down at me.

"You done sleeping there cupcake?" she asked, her voice not so bitter to me for once in a morning.

"Yeah, I guess." I groggily stood and stretched my arms up as I saw Mark at the fire, stirring, most likely, his meals for the day.

"I assume you'll be heading out quite soon." Mark said from the fire.

"Yeah, we'll get going soon I guess?" I looked to Thalia and she nodded in agreement. "Yeah, soon."

"Well, if I may, I'd like to give you a couple supplies to help you on your way." Mark smiled kindly. I then noticed a sleeping Ventus by the fire place, enjoying the warmth.

"Of course, we'd love that." I agreed, looking around for my bag. It was in a corner. I quickly walked over and grabbed it, slinging it over my shoulder.

"Excellent." Mark ladled some soup into a couple containers and closed them, adding a couple plastic utensils on top. He slid them across the table with a smile. "Keep the containers, I have plenty. Just enjoy it as a meal for today or whenever and accept it as a gift."

"Oh, Mark, I can't say thanks enough." I was honest in that, as I was with the rest. Mark was a huge help with our journey.

"Yeah, thanks a bunch." Thalia smiled for once and Mark seemed pleased with himself.

"Well, it's no problem. I just hope that you make it to the championship, Brendan." Mark eyed me. "I might even see the match if you make it."

"Wait, really?" I asked. Mark laughed warmly.

"It'll depend on you, really. But if you do then I think it'd be a worthwhile journey to see your crowning achievement." Mark gave me a knowing smile. I felt a bit of drive in me, to make it to that Arceus forsaken championship.

"You can count on me. I expect to see you in the crowds when I face the Elite Four and the Champion." I held out my hand to Mark. "Promise?" Mark eyed my hand for a second before reaching his own out and grasping.

"I promise." He said as we shook, sealing the deal. Mark's grip was quite firm, I only hoped mine was. Silly thing to worry about but I did. Mark taught me something and I intended to use it.

"Good." Thalia tapped my shoulder and I sighed. "We best be going."

"Best of luck to you then." Mark bid with a nod and a smile. I waved, Thalia nodded, and we took our leave. We exited the cabin and walked to the exit of the clearing, quickly finding the path to Mauville and starting back on it, leaving Mark and Ventus behind as we marched onward to Mauville.

However after a couple hours of walking, my legs were beginning to get sore, trees receded to make a wider path despite the dirt being visible beneath our feet with grass on the edges, showing the beaten path so to speak. The sun was rising and blazing down on us. Almost unbearably so. In fact it was as if the sun had decided to take a stroll alongside me and Thalia. We were sweating by the time an hour had passed. By the time we hit the two hour mark, my headband was soaking up too much. Thalia and I were breathing heavily and walking slower and more lethargic. We kept walking for another hour, drinking water as sparingly as we could. However the sun was just beating down on us with such intensity, I could almost feel my skin being blackened.

"We need shade." I gasped.

"Yeah…" Thalia panted. "You're right." We looked and quickly found solace under the trees at the edges of the wide path, hiding under the shade which brought instant relief, if only a bit. We drank water while thankful for the shade. I leaned back against the tree and pulled my damp headband off, ringing it of most of the sweat before slipping it on again.

"That's better." I sighed, feeling the sweat, slightly cooled, hit my head.

"Gross." Thalia panted, wiping her brow.

"Hey, sweat's meant to cool us off." I reasoned. "I mean it's hydration cooling us off. In its own way."

"I don't care. It makes people reek badly and it's gross." Thalia sighed. "I don't give a shit what the purpose is."

"Oh don't be like that." I chuckled.

"Besides, where'd you learn that? One of your porn magazines?" Thalia jeered.

"Of course not!" I exclaimed. "I learned it in an article from PokeGirl monthly."

"That is a porn mag you dingus." Thalia scolded.

"Hey, it has articles." I justified. "I learn a few things while enjoying myself."

"Of course you do." Thalia replied. I could practically hear her eyes rolling in her head. I took a bit of offence to that.

"Hey! It's something." I countered and Thalia sighed.

"Whatever, you do what you enjoy. I'm not gonna berate you for it." She stated, which I immediately called bullshit on.

"Oh please, that's what you love doing, berating me. I mean that's how we started out." I smiled, congratulating myself for that.

"No, we started with a light footjob that was also threatening. Then went into cunnilingus. And now travelling under an impossibly hot sun to a city that has a massive mall." Thalia replayed to me.

"Well you berated me a bit." I reasoned, looking to the path. Waves of hot air were coming off the ground, which was a good sign we had left the path when we did. "Man what is up with the sun today?" I asked aloud. Thalia kept quiet. It reminded me of my dream, where the half with the sun was bright and burning.

"I don't know." She answered. I was about to let it go when I remembered she was a part of Team Magma.

"Are you sure you don't know?" I asked, now wanting to get some information. If Thalia knew something, I wanted her to tell me. I was beginning to have suspicions.

"Pretty damn sure." Her voice became more threatening. "And if you keep asking, I'll show you just how much I don't know." She turned and I could see her right eye looking at me out of the corner of her socket. "Got it?"

"All right, all right." I held my hands up in surrender. I wasn't about to take a beating for the info. However, what was painfully obvious was Thalia was holding stuff back. Magma's plans were my best guess though I wasn't certain.

"Good. Now we need to figure out-" Thalia stopped and looked to the path. I looked as well. The sun's light was receding. It was darkening, getting quite dark since my eyes were used to the bright light. But what was happening was a line was coming toward us. A wave of shade that passed us, giving an immediate cooling sensation.

"What in the fuck is going on?" I asked when suddenly a boom of thunder was herd in the distance. Rain droplets began falling sparsely but it was but a few seconds before rain began pouring down heavily, passing through leaves and tree branches and hitting Thalia and I with surprising intensity.

"What?" Thalia now seemed dumbstruck as rain pelted us. The sky lit up as lightning flashed in the distance. About a minute later, the sound of thunder hit us with a muffled boom. We sat there, in awe of the sudden weather when the rain let up and finally stopped, the clouds dispersing to reveal normal, plain sunlight. Both of us stared out to the now soaked path qith confusion written all over both our faces.

"The fuck just happened?" I wondered aloud, still wet from the rain.

"I don't-" Thalia pinched the bridge of her nose. "I'm confused too. This was so odd." However, she stood. "Let's go quickly, before anything else happens."

"All right, I can agree with that." I stood as well, walking quickly to the path and joining Thalia as we quickly walked away from that area. The sun was shining down but this time with its plain old normal intensity instead of with intent to burn us to a crisp. In fact we walked for a solid hour and a half without incident. By that point we were mostly air dried, which was a relief to both of us. I suddenly remembered that I never brought an umbrella. I smacked myself full in the face.

"Have an issue?" Thalia asked, looking back to me.

"In Mauville, we need to buy some umbrellas." I said to her, pulling my hands from my face. "Just in case we get caught in another freak storm. Last thing we need is to get stranded in a rainstorm with nothing to protect us."

"What if it gets really windy?" Thalia asked beside me.

"Then we get multiple umbrellas. Make an umbrella shell. I dunno." I sighed. "I just realised my stupidity when I didn't buy one in Slateport."

"Well it could be worse." Thalia reasoned as we walked. "We could wind up stuck in an empty field with nothing. With the rain driving into us without mercy."

"Oh don't bring that up." I retorted. "Last thing we need is a jinx so that we'll wind up stuck in that situation."

"I didn't know you were superstitious." Thalia wondered.

"I'm not. Though I generally don't take many chances." I explained. "Last thing I need is for that stuff to be real and I get screwed over."

"Not a gambler?" Thalia asked.

"I gamble with my life every time I look at a girl inappropriately." I chuckled.

"Not a wise choice." Thalia sneered. I looked sideways at her.

"I'm still here, aren't I?" I smiled, watching Thalia's face go from smug to irritated in just a matter of seconds.

"Oh shut up." She replied. I chuckled.

"Regardless, I still think we need umbrellas." I fidgeted with my wrist bands.

"Yeah, yeah." Thalia sighed. "Umbrellas, other stuff in Mauville. Yada, yada." She waved her hand dismissively. "I swear, you're the woman in this situation."

"Well at least one of us has to think of the small stuff." I retorted. "I mean, it makes sense."

"Well when you're not thinking of girls you want to bang." Thalia jeered.

"It's not always like that." I tried defending myself.

"Whatever." Thalia waved her hand dismissively as she chuckled at my expense. I swear she enjoys seeing me squirm. Then again she is a sadist. And a masochist.

You know what, I just put myself in terrible situations, don't I?

"Ma'am!" A Grunt ran his way up to Shelly as she stood to the side, examining data on a tablet.

"Yes?" she asked distractedly.

"We're making more progress on breaching Meteor Falls. We've almost made it in and we plan to go to Fallabor as soon as you give the order."

"That's good. Keep it up, report to me when it is finished and only when it is finished. Okay?" Shelly looked from the tablet and eyed the grunt. He nodded and walked off to report to his comrades. Shelly was busy, she didn't have time for constant updates. She was looking at the info she got from someone in the tech department on Brendan. It wasn't much in terms of amount, but Shelly found it interesting.

He lived in Johto before moving to Hoenn only recently. There he had a general education, lived with his parents, had friends, etc. His medical records showed a few trips, one when he was twelve for taking a Scyther blade to the side. His friend gave him a transfusion and he pulled through.

His school records showed above average intelligence but average to below average work ethic. If anything he turned more things in late or just didn't do them out of laziness. He was quoted as such more than several times. He also had several disciplines and detentions under his belt for numerous "inappropriate" encounters. Descriptions revealed various attempts to sneak into the girls locker room at his school, looking up every skirt that was within eyesight, and various other infractions that were spaced enough apart that he never got expelled and even managed to avoid many suspensions though his records showed a couple in his early high school days.

Shelly raised an eyebrow at this. He must've perfected his perverse habits by the time he advanced a year in high school, otherwise more claims of sexual harassment pointed at him would've been made that were legitimate. More than a few were illegitimate, with Brendan never being at fault. Administrations reported Brendan, during these events, to be more driven in proving his innocence when during disciplining him for his own infractions, he held a more smug demeanor, accepting what he'd done without protest and even seemed proud of it.

Despite that his teachers had little to complain about aside from late work. He kept himself under the radar enough to avoid attention aside from scorn from the female populace. He kept to his friends and otherwise made no trouble for himself or others.

"How curious." Shelly remarked as she scrolled through. It was reinforcing her plan to have Anne be the buffer that convinced Brendan to join. The more he grew the better he'd get. If Team Aqua could get someone like him on their side then they'd have a better shot against Team Magma. Their ambushes would only work so long, she told Archie that. Maxie, to give credit, was a resourceful one. He was able to bounce back strategically eventually. Archie, however, really liked the flanking and was adamant that it would keep working. He'd rethink it when he'd start losing territory from counter attacks.

Still, son of a Gym Leader would be useful regardless. Though Shelly couldn't help but find the irony in Brendan's parentage. Norman, from her research, was a very thoughtful, tactical kind of person. He thought things through. To have a son who acted quite a bit on instinct was certainly an oddity. Though his adaptation in school to avoid punishment was certainly interesting. Shelly found it fascinating. It was as if he could sometimes be his father but was generally himself. She had to meet him, get a feel for him. From what Anne said he was a bit embarrassed when in an intimate situation with a girl, self-conscious. Though getting into the act and the aphrodisiacs seemed to quell that.

However, Shelly could only think about her plans for Brendan until she got to meet him. As of right now, her immediate concern was getting into Meteor Falls without a hitch or involvement from Team Magma. Speaking of, according to Anne he was travelling with a member. Further information on this came from Jacqueline, after she had calmed down from the pills. She explained the girl was violent and rough, biased against Team Aqua with a passion, and was a good fist fighter. She could not, however, discern her reason for travelling with Brendan though Shelly was suspicious that it was a ploy to get him on their side. Anne never mentioned if they were employing the same method though Shelly was quite suspicious. Anne, however, was waiting in Mauville and would stay there until Brendan made his way there on his own. If Anne followed him and kept him drugged, this girl would know and possibly interfere.

Unless the Magma girl was keeping him drugged up with aphrodisiacs to keep him at her beck and call. However Shelly remembered that both Anne and Jacqueline showed that Brendan was clearly the one in charge. So that made the Magma girl's presence all the more perplexing. What was Maxie's end goal with him?

Shelly closed her tablet. She'd compose a report later tonight. Right now, she had to go check progress on things. She made the quick journey to her tent and set it down on the table within, before walking back, hoping they made some good progress.

"So what you're saying is" I started as we walked "you wouldn't control someone through aphrodisiacs and sex?"

"No because that's stupid." Thalia reasoned. "You just need to be a good talker and know the right words to use."

"But plenty of women have used sex to gain power in politics." I retorted. We had been at this for the past hour. I intended short discussions on hypothetical situations but the first one had been going for so long based on debate over the best way for someone to rise up in politics. We've been at this legitimately, making point and counter point and intended to keep doing so. "I mean say you weren't the best talker and needed a bit something extra to move your way along."

"Well then yes but if I were a good talker I wouldn't need to." Thalia sighed. "I've said this a bunch."

"And I say talking only gets you so far, sex is the constant." I held my hands before me, palms facing each other in a sort of setting motion.

"It's not the only constant you dingus." Thalia retorted. "You just need to know what to say." She was gritting her teeth by this point. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Fine!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms up. "You win! Next question. It's your turn."

"Well" Thalia suddenly had a smug smile on her face "Say you had a choice between two evils and there was an unpredictable third option, what would you do?"

"Don't be so smug." I muttered, thinking. "What are the evils?" I asked, throwing a wrench into Thalia's hypothetical situation. Thalia, however, answered quickly.

"First is bombs going off in major cities that could affect minor cities or soldiers going into every minor city and town and killing people individually and the third option does something unknown." Thalia grinned and I suddenly had a perplexing situation before me.

"Um, oh boy." I pressed my lips together, my mind thinking over this slowly. "What did you chose?"

"Well that's just gonna influence your choice." Thalia replied.

"Might, might not." I retorted, looking up at the sun, which was now dipping and turning the sky an orange colour. We'd eaten some of Mark's soup for supper which was quite delicious. The remnants were in our containers, which were quite large so we had a god couple days of food. If we encountered a town or something on our way to Mauville then we'd restock as much as possible, mostly non-perishables. Canned food. We could make fires if we needed. "Still, what's your answer?"

"Well if it's that important." Thalia rolled her eyes. "I'd choose the bombs."

"Really?" I asked, curious.

"Eh. People are dying either way, might as well go for the least gruesome option." She reasoned, which I understood. However neither option really seemed like the lesser of two evils.

"I'd go for the unpredictable option." I answered after a minute's thought.

"Really?" Thalia asked. "And why's that?"

"Well there's every chance it's worse. But there's every chance it's the best option." I reasoned. "I'd rather gamble than have a forced option that's terrible." Thalia was quiet for a minute, possibly thinking.

"Well that's… philosophical." She responded. "I can see why you'd go for that. But are you sure it'd be worth the risk?" She raised an eyebrow at me.

"That's the thing about risk." I started. "If a risk is there and you don't take it, you won't know the outcome. You gotta take a chance every once in a while and have a bit of faith in whatever and hope things will turn out all right." I shrugged my shoulders when I finished and Thalia kept her eyebrow raised throughout.

"Didn't you say your dad was a really think things through kind of guy?" she asked out of the blue.

"Uh, yeah." I answered. He was, something I admired about him when it came to Pokemon battling.

"It's kind of odd to see you talking about having faith when your dad would think that kind of thing through." Thalia observed. She was right, Dad would think that through as much as he could. I dunno, I just feel strongly that a decent risk taken will have a worthy payoff. If the dice fall in the right way. You just gotta hope.

"Well that's just how I operate I guess." I chuckled. "It's how I avoided reprimand in school for various things."

"You mean looking up girls skirts and such." Thalia drawled suddenly.

"Whatever you want to call it." I sighed, shrugging my shoulders. "I made gambles and they generally paid off. Though I was smart enough to adapt and have basic strategies to fall back on should a risk not payoff and never have a payoff." I grinned in the direction of Thalia. "I mean give me credit, I'm adaptable."

"I'll give you something all right." Thalia growled, receiving a chuckle from me.

"Oh the jokes I could make." I sighed. "So, next topic."

"So, that's your story, eh?" Tabitha eyed his new team member. Terra stood there all stoic as usual, his arm as his side, his body ramrod stiff. He stared ahead, never looking down despite Tabitha's stature compared to him.

"I joined Team Magma on the belief that humanity and Pokemon need more land to spread our enterprises." Terra answered rigidly. Tabitha began circling him slowly.

"And what would you do should you encounter members of Team Aqua?" he asked curiously.

"I would fight them to the best of my abilities and defeat them." Terra responded.

"Whose orders do you follow?" Tabitha tested.

"I follow your orders." Terra answered.

"But whose orders take precedent?" Tabitha kept eye contact with Terra with curiosity.

"Maxie's orders take precedent." Terra answered with conviction. Tabitha nodded approvingly.

"That's good, that's very good." He grinned. "All right, you're going to be my solo operative. Maxie said to do what I wish and I shall." Tabitha pulled a tablet from his jacket and opened it. "My first mission for you is a small group of Team Aqua are near the desert, close to our base in fact." Tabitha stood firm before his new group member. "Your job is to route them out and send them back to their boss with their tails between their legs."

"Of course sir." Terra answered, performing the Team Magma Salute. Tabitha put his tablet away and returned the salute.

"You are dismissed." Tabitha ordered and Terra nodded before he left, passing Courtney as he exited. Tabitha raised an eyebrow. "Courtney, what are you doing here?" he asked, curious.

"I wanted to see your new team member." She answered in her monotone voice. Her eyes were constantly half closed as if she were about to fall asleep. Sometimes Tabitha genuinely questioned what Maxie saw in her aside from her intelligence skills.

"Well you just did. How long were you there?" He asked.

"I came in when you were asking him about whose orders take precedent." She responded uninterestedly. "He seems like such a boring man, in all honesty. Follows his orders without question. A good soldier, sure, but incredibly stale." Courtney kept her mouth in a line that suggested it was her natural facial resting position.

"Well he's a good soldier. Those are good qualities." Tabitha reasoned. "Now if you'll excuse me I have to go brief my team members." He walked past Courtney, who remained standing where she was. "Perhaps Maxie should give you someone you could use." He called back at her before he left. The door closed and Courtney, once she was sure when he left, smiled slightly.

"I've got an interest." She said to herself, pulling a tablet with the picture of a boy with white hair from his school yearbook. His name was Brendan, his information passed to her from Maxie when Davis brought it to Maxie's attention but he was busy at the time.

Yes, Courtney was finding this particular person quite interesting.

"You know" I started as I was sitting in front of Thalia who was struggling to get a fire going "I do have a Fire Pokemon, perhaps we could use-"

"I can do this!" she snapped with irritation, continuing to rub the rocks together and making useless sparks against the grass below the small pyramid of branches. We made a stone circle around it as well. However dark was falling and we needed a fire and Thalia was being stubborn. I was beginning to think that pulling Torchic out and lighting the bloody thing was the better option despite dealing with Thalia's rage.

"Fine, fine." I relented, looking over to my right. We found a nice river with large banks so we chose to rest up here. However it would've been nice if we had a fire. "It's just I'd like some warmth and-" crack I heard as Thalia finally got some sparks going which lit the grass.

"Aha!" she exclaimed, leaning down and lightly blowing into the grass, igniting the embers and allowing them to catch on the branches. Within a couple minutes, our fire was at a pretty good size and we had some spare firewood to keep it going. Her smug expression, while grating, wasn't undeserved. "Told you I could do it." She taunted.

"Yes, yes, you did." I sighed, enjoying the warmth that the fire provided. It was a nice warmth, I must say. "I think the guys deserve a bit of this." I observed, letting out Aron, Combusken, and Totodile who gathered on one side of the fire to enjoy it. Thalia let out her Poochyena, Zubat, and Electrike who gathered to the opposite side of my Pokemon. We sat there, absorbing the warmth while I pulled a granola bar from my backpack. Thalia noticed and pulled her container of soup.

"I'll just heat it by the side of the fire, you know?" she said, setting the plastic near the fire and rotating it on occasion. I munched on my granola bar thoughtfully as my mind retreated back to Anne for some reason. Maybe it was just my libido, but I replayed our encounters in my mind and found it difficult to figure out why she was so good and why those were so good. I mean it wasn't the first time I had sex but for Arceus's sake, it was so oddly amazing. Anne drank some water, blew me, and then I was an animal. My mind was focused on getting off to the point I went to her a second time and we fucked for so long.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary but both of us went crazy. I'd heard that good sex meant you had something with the person but I wasn't sure about that entirely. Thinking of Anne didn't make my heart go fluttery nor did I think of her in bad moments. My libido was reacting to her hardcore. Honestly the thought of entering her once more…

"Gahk!" I choked on the last of my granola bar since I wasn't paying attention. I turned to the side and hacked the granola out, grabbing my canteen and drinking to soothe my now sore throat.

"What the fuck happened to you?" Thalia asked me as she was eating her soup. I took another drink and took several deep breaths to make sure I was still alive. When I was, I set my canteen down.

"Sorry, just choked on my bar. Wasn't paying attention." Last thing Thalia needed was to know.

"Must've been thinking hard about something if you wound up choking." Thalia sneered and chuckled at me as I swallowed to make sure nothing was there.

"Yeah. I guess." I looked over to the river, which flowed with a low babbling that was quite relaxing if you think about it. It'd be nice to sleep to, though I wasn't quite tired while the sun was setting, encasing the world in night. I decided to try again with questioning Thalia to throw some suspicion off me. "So do you still have no idea on what happened with the weather today?" I asked. Thalia frowned immediately.

"Look." She started with a sigh before staying silent for a minute. She seemed to be pondering what to say. "All I could possibly say is that things are stirring and that might be the cause." She looked to me. "Happy?"

"I guess." I accepted it. It was the most I was gonna get out of her on the issue, though the ancient Pokemon I read about in Katherine's hotel came to mind. One to expand land and one to expand the sea. What were they?

"Good." Thalia responded, looking into the fire. She had finished her soup, emptying the container.

"So is it Team Magma?" I asked. "The reason you're so aloof with info."

"Yeah. Can't divulge secrets to any person who asks." She answered with conviction. I nodded, agreeing. It made sense.

"Well then, apologies for prying a bit. Just, my curiosity when shit starts happening, you know?" I eyed Thalia, making sure my point got across.

"Oh trust me, I know." Thalia replied. "I know. You become a grunt of a large organization and you learn just how much curiosity is quelled when people want to keep secrets from everyone else." Thalia smirked without humour at that. "Trust me, you learn to keep secrets and you learn not to pursue your curiosity."

"That's a shame." I commented despite the sense it made. It still sucked that I was being kept I the dark. I mean I'm a resident of Hoenn now. If this is gonna affect Hoenn then I'd like to know. However Thalia was so reclusive with information it was frustrating. In fact she was so reclusive she was falling asleep. She lay down beside the fire and gave me a look.

"Good night, don't try anything." She said before closing her eyes, leaving me the lone awake being around the fireplace. I sat there, enjoying the warmth, tossing a few sticks on the fire in specific positions to keep it going. Suddenly my legs got stiff and I needed to stretch. I stood and stretched my arms up above my head, enjoying how that felt. Fun thing to try, sit cross legged or in one position for about an hour and a half, then stretch out in bed or something. It is amazing.

I walked over to the river and stood by it, the slanted bank leading into the slow moving water. I had a brief urge to test how deep and cool it was when I realised that that was really stupid to do at night. Fire or no, it probably wasn't wise. I don't know what's under the water's surface. Still from the bank of the river, I looked up. The sky was slowly lighting up with stars and lights that I still found myself in awe of.

"I should become an astronomer." I muttered to myself. I mean if I'm gonna be waxing philosophical over stars I might as well. I chuckled and sat down and divided my attention between the sky and the river. A person who liked nature more would be in heaven. I enjoy it quite a bit. I mean I kinda have to since my journey is gonna be spent in hotels and the great outdoors, I have to have an appreciation. My hand immediately moved to my right side where I could still feel the slight indentation that was the scar from that Scyther incident. Funny how nature can be beautiful and scary at the same time, when you think about it. Crazy. Then again there's weird shit in this world. A lot of it. Nature itself is one of those things. Crazy.

I was feeling the need for some warmth and I could feel todays' adventuring taking its toll on me. I stood slowly and slowly walked over to my spot around the fire and lay down before it, putting a few sticks on it to keep it alight before I felt my eyes drooping, feeling heavy as boulders. I kept staring at the fire until my eyes fluttered closed and I entered the land of slumber.

Anne's hand gripped the vibrator beside her but she wasn't using it. She was busy watching the movie she ordered with the hotel's inbuilt system. She was wearing only her blue underwear as she sat on top of the covers in the large bed. She was biting her lip as she saw the two people go at it on screen, resisting the urge to jam the vibrator in her until she was a quivering mess on the bed. It was a personal abstinence issue. The past couple days she'd been getting off constantly and she wanted a break. Yet she couldn't not watch porn.

The guy's breathy groans as he slammed into the girl on screen made Anne swallow as her hand gripped the vibrator tighter, as if that would prevent her arm from moving. Anne's eyes were glued to the screen despite her urge to see how aroused she had become. If she touched herself then she'd give into the urge and lose herself in a world of pleasure. Anne's breathing was heavy as she felt her legs beginning to quiver. Her will was breaking down. She'd been torturing herself for the past hour with this porn movie while she'd sat there, resisting the urge to masturbate. She knew by this point she should get up, turn it off, and go to bed. However something was keeping her here and she knew it was the want to climax.

Anne quickly looked down to her panties and saw something that distressed and excited her. The crotch of her panties were soaked through to the point they were glistening in the light of the TV.

Oh Arceus. She thought to herself as her arms tensed up, the muscled tightening. At this rate I'll cum from just sitting here. She could feel it jolting through her, the feeling of pleasure waiting to be released. This must be what a guy sitting with a massive erection and not touching it must feel like. Anne chuckled. Brendan sprang to her mind again. His nervousness at the beginning was cute but when he got going he became a monster. Anne had had a few encounters but none quite so pleasurable as when Brendan was railing her into the bed back in Slateport. Oh how good that felt.

Anne brought her knees together. She had to resist. She hadn't touched the aphrodisiacs and yet she was so aroused. She swallowed again, extending her left arm to grab a bottle of water, which she drank heartily. She had drained half of it before she set it down. Her knees were quivering quite hard now, as was her body. Anne's breathing was getting heavier as the urge kept creeping up on her. Anne's hand drifted to her panties and she didn't resist. She felt her fingers come into contact with the slick juices and she immediately pressed in hard, arching her back from the pleasure.

"Oh…." She moaned. "Fuck it." Anne pulled her soaked panties down just a bit, the strings of juices connecting her slit and the panties numerous. She slid the vibrator inside herself with ease and an explosion of pleasure. She moaned loudly as she began pumping the small device in and out of her. Her hand holding the thing was coated before she remembered to turn it on. When she did she had to bite her lip from screaming. It felt oh so good!

Anne kept pumping it in and out, her left hand grabbing her left breast nice and tight, the tightness adding to the pleasure. The wet sounds of the vibrator pumping in and out of her added to the overall experience. She flipped herself over, attacking herself from behind as she moaned and panted into the bedspread, her juices were running down her leg she could feel. She likely soiled the bed already but she didn't care. She just wanted to end this torture.

"Yes1 Yes! Yes!" she moaned into the blanket as she continued to fuck herself silly. Oh the pleasure she felt. It was like the flood gates were about to burst. Her orgasm was coming soon, she could feel it. It was going to rattle her body in an incredible way. It was building up more, and more, and more, and more, and more until…

"OOOOOOOOOOOH!" she released into the bed so it muffled her voice. She felt a surge of fluids run down her legs as her body began violently shaking from holding off for so long. Her ass slumped down to the bed in exhaustion as she panted heavily, trying to recover from the orgasm with little success. The movie ended and Anne reached an arm over to the table and floppily grabbed a remote and turned the device off, dropping the remote immediately before falling asleep.

Maxie was finalising details of a plan he was going to put into motion. A flanking manoeuvre nearer the Fallabor. Team Aqua retreated in that direction quite often, so Maxie was curious to see if their base was in the area. If he could flank them and see their movements then he could make a secure judgement in his plan. He could make a calculated strike on the Team Aqua base and come out the victor, searching for their goal in peace. Relatively.

"Maxie" he heard over the intercom "incoming transmission from Jet." The electronic voice informed him.

"Patch him through." Maxie sighed, putting his plans on hold for the next few minutes. Jet, while a good fighter, was constantly checking in and bothering Maxie directly. He had people to report things to him… or to ignore specific people. Jet was one such person but he'd somehow gotten a hold of Maxie's direct line. On screen, a frustrated youth with ruffled black hair appeared.

"Maxie, I have information for you." He informed. Maxie stood straight, placing his hands behind his back.

"What is it this time Jet?" The Team Magma Leader asked, keeping his general monotone.

"I had an encounter with Thalia." He announced. Maxie didn't even raise an eyebrow.

"Jet if you have been fighting with another grunt, that's your issue. Also I've placed Thalia on the tail of a suspected Team Aqua member so unless you were following them-"

"My team was facing Team Aqua when we encountered them." Jet interrupted. "The guy managed to fend us both off with help from some old guy." Maxie could see anger in Jet's eyes. This is why Maxie sent him to the outskirts of the main skirmishes. He got too invested when jobs required a simple battle. He got personal. However the person Davis informed him of fighting off both teams? Interesting.

"Perhaps there was a reason?" Maxie proposed. "What if he simply fought you all off to avoid suspicion? What of Thalia during the confrontation?" Maxie asked.

"Thalia stood back and didn't intervene." Jet informed Maxie. Maxie wasn't surprised. "I don't want to cast suspicions but it would do to keep an eye on Thalia, I think."

"Jet, Thalia is a loyal member of Team Magma." Maxie informed the boy. "I highly doubt she's gone to the other side in such a short amount of time. Besides, one possible Team Aqua member is irrelevant against our main goal. This boy is an issue for another time."

"But Maxie!" Jet tried, but Maxie simply ignored him.

"Farewell, and thank you Jet." Maxie closed communications. He pulled off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing in irritation. He slid his glasses back on and went to work at his computer, changing his line number and making sure each call was routed towards a place where he could filter.

Going back to his plans, he worked out possible scenarios with each possible move he could make. It was arduous to do but necessary. Maxie, however, took some enjoyment out of it. Mostly the result if it were positive. His hard work bearing good fruits. It was a good feeling to see a plan fall into place. Like seeing a well-trained Pokemon toppling a powerful foe, the satisfaction that it was you who made it possible was a fantastic sensation.

Maxie moved dots on the computer, making possibilities.

A/N: Slightly shorter chapter this time round, but I hope Anne's masturbation bit makes up for it. I do apologise, I'm just a bit creatively sapped this week for some reason. Gotta plan a bit more I suppose. Regardless I hope you all enjoyed!
