"Right. I see... thank you," Lloyd closed the Enigma as he let out a breath. They had just finished patrolling the area for the festival, and Fran had just informed them of a situation.

"What's the matter, Lloyd?" Elie asked him.

"We've got a request from Mr. Hayworth. Apparently, his son went missing at some point during the parade," Lloyd explained.

"Oi oi, seriously?" Randy interjected. "Isn't Harold..."

"The one Juna suspected of being Renne's father," Tio finished with a sigh.

"In any case, he's waiting for us by the water fountain near headquarters. We should go get details about the situation," Lloyd clapped to return everyone's focus.

Once the SSS met the Hayworths and they explained the situation to the group, Lloyd asked them for a photo to make the search easier.

"Oh, how cute."

"Indeed. I almost mistook him as their daughter."

Both Elie and Tio started gushing about the cute kid. And well, Lloyd had to agree with the two girls. Colin was indeed cute, in the innocent sort of way that made you want to protect him.

"M-My sweet boy..."

Sophia Hayworth started to cry.

"Come, now, dear. Let's get out of the heat and wait for Colin to come home," Harold tried to calm his wife down. "Who knows? He may be waiting for us now..."

"Harold! But, what if...? What if it happened again?!"

"It won't! It will never happen again, I swear it!"

Harold declared with convictions.

The SSS looked at each other.

'Again?' Could it be...

"Excuse us. The heat seems to have gotten to our heads. It's just... This is a lot to deal with," Harold addressed the SSS again after his wife calmed down a little.

"No, we completely understand."

After that, they got one of Colin's possession, a plushie of Mishy, for Zeit to track the scent. They split up for better efficiency, and Lloyd was left alone to cover the Entertainment District, Back Alley, Central Square, and West Street.

After asking around the Entertainment District and the Back Alley to no Avail, Lloyd let out a sigh. Maybe he should've gotten Juna's help. He decided to go straight to West Street before scouring the Central Square. He could visit the Crawfords to see if Juna was home.

"Long time no see."

"Huh?" Lloyd turned when he heard a voice calling out to him. "Oh, it's you, Renne."

What a coincidence. Lloyd's hand grasped his left pocket, where he kept Colin's photo.

"Good day, Detective. It's been about a month since we last met, hasn't it?" She curtsied.

"Yeah, that sounds about right. What's up? Did you come to revisit the antique shop?" Lloyd asked her, trying to settle for a small talk. He knew that Colin was still missing, but he couldn't abandon a lead.

"Indeed. I've also come to take in the festival. I quite enjoyed that lovely parade. Were you able to watch it?" Renne continued talking. So Lloyd answered in kind.

"Afraid not. I had to skip out on it. I was busy taking care of a job."

The Hayworths' mention of 'again' implied that they lost a child once. Lloyd's mind couldn't help but make a connection with Juna's deduction a few weeks ago that Renne was a missing daughter of the Hayworth.

"By the way, Detective... What are you doing all alone? Are you playing another game of hide-and-seek with someone?"

Perfect opening. Or maybe... she was leading for that question? He didn't know. Juna never asked for help anymore about Renne's case, so he assumed she either had solved it or dropped it. Now that there was a chance that Juna's deduction was correct... Lloyd felt that he needed to confirm things for Juna. With the lack of records about Harold in the police database, the SSS's concluded that Juna's guess was wrong, so the responsibility to verify it fell to Lloyd now that he was given the chance to do so.

"Renne. I have to ask you something."

Lloyd brought out the photo he used to look for Colin and showed it to the purple-haired girl. Now that he got a good look at Renne and previously Harold and compared it, it was true that the two had the exact same shade of purple for their hair.

"Have you seen this boy? He supposedly disappeared during the
parade and has yet to return home."

"Oh..."

There was a telltale of recognition on her face. Lloyd saw it, despite how fast Renne put up a mask of indifference.

"No. Renne has never known this child."

Even her voice was restrained. It was as if she could perfectly mask her emotion. However, it flared Lloyd's detective intuition instead of throwing him off.

Despite Renne saying otherwise, Lloyd was convinced that Renne definitely knew Colin. And possibly... Renne was truly the Hayworths' missing daughter.

He had to apologize to Juna.

"However... He's quite a cute boy, isn't he? You said you're looking for him, Detective?"

"Yeah, my team split up to cover more ground," Lloyd answered. "I'd like to get him back to his parents ASAP, but we haven't had much luck yet."

"Heehee... If that's the case, then I'll grant you a bit of my expertise," Renne offered with a giggle.

Lloyd's mind was working out what it meant for Renne. Did she resent the Hayworths? With how she wanted to look for Colin, it couldn't be resentment unless she aimed to hurt Colin herself after she found him. It was best for him to accompany her so that he could control what would happen.

"All right. I'll be counting on you, Renne. However, do you mind if I pick another help? She has quite a sharp mind. I hope that she'd be free to help us," Lloyd asked. Despite Renne's sudden help, he still wanted Juna's help too.

"Sure."

"Alright. Let's put the Central Square investigation away for now. Let's go to West Street to pick her up."
