It has been two years since the Regime had fallen. The power is now fully back to the people and freedom returned. Peter Parker, AKA Spider-man, AKA the man who led the Secret Avengers and brought down the Regime was overlooking New York City inside of his company's office, Horizon Labs. After his Best Friend, Harry Osborn was killed, Peter was bequeathed all of Harry Osborn's wealth and property. With his new found wealth he helped fund the rebuild of New York city as helped bring peace back to the world. In doing so he has been more reclusive than before. He barely had time to have fun and keep in touch with his friends. His trail of thought was interrupted when Robbie Robertson, his new CEO walked in.
"You know the speech you gave at the Congress was suppose to reassure the public. You're not alone in rebuilding New York City. But if we don't change their minds soon..."
"Thought that's why you hired that overpaid PR firm, Robbie."
"Convincing the people to move back into the city is a lot harder when the people no longer trust the Avengers."
"Captain America is never getting out. I thought I made that very clear!"
"But Captain Marvel, Doctor Doom, and Black Panther are still out there. All with diplomatic immunity. And God knows where Bruce Banner is." Peter couldn't argue with that point. He had worked tirelessly to rebuild the Avengers name and help make the world feel safe. But he is only one man. And he is being stretched out thin. "Pete, I know you built BEN to keep tabs on the loose ends, but the public doesn't know that."
"The public can't know. The enemy can't fight what they don't know."
"Well can I offer at least one advice Peter?"
"What's that?"
"Be less Spider-man and be more of the cheerful kid that once took pictures for the Daily Bugle. The focus groups show people feel safer when they see you smile." There was a small beep that allowed them to know someone is here. "That must be for your other job." Peter starts to leave, but Robbie stops him. "I'm no Uncle Ben, but please listen. You can't do this alone Peter. You need friends and allies to help you. Please for your own sake and sanity." Peter smiles and ponders about what he said and then left. At the stairwell stood an alive Hawkeye and Black Widow. Both of them were in their outfits and were waiting for Peter to show up.
"As a reception area, this place needs a lot of work." said Hawkeye. They hear footsteps and look up. Peter walks down the stairs and arrives.
"Mister and Miss Barton. Thank you for coming on such short notice."
"Pete. You can call us by our first names." said Black Widow. "You're not a kid anymore."
"Plus you're lucky we found a sitter." joked Hawkeye as the two approached him. Peter smiles and presses a secret panel and a secret elevator appears. The three take the elevator and descend to the abandoned subway station.
"My cleaning crew discovered this abandoned station. I figured this place could use a little fixer upper." They enter the station and it was filled with equipment, computers, and other technology. "This is the New Avengers headquarters." Peter leads them to a computer device in the middle of the room. "This is the Bionic Espionage Network. Or BEN for short."
"More like Eye of Sauron." said Hawkeye. "Surveillance Hub?"
"More like a communication network. It warns us of when trouble's coming, and guides us when trouble is here." said Peter.
"Must take a genius to operate it." said Black Widow.
"I don't know about genius." The chair in front of the computer turns around it is revealed that the person sitting there is Deadpool. "But I do got a PhD." Daredevil appeared from the shadows and bonks Deadpool on the head.
"He is lying, it's on autopilot." Deadpool gets up and hugs the both of them. "Natasha! And Natasha's hubby! You both sure came a long way."
"A world away. But the change of scenery is nice." said Hawkeye
"We were surprised you called. Things were going well. So what's up?" asked Black Widow
"Dismantling the Regime's global security. We're doing all we can but we are stretched thin." He types something on the keyboard and images and details of Hydra appeared.
"Red Skull...He's returned. And is leading Hydra with a few of our old friends." said Peter
"Our mole within says he is planning something big. But what it is we don't know."
"The only thing we do know is that Mysterio's going to ship a bunch of his chemicals from their hideout in in the Everglades." said Daredevil.
"Thank goodness I packed my bug spray." said Hawkeye.
"I'd like to ask you two to join Daredevil and investigate this and stop Red Skull from getting it." said Peter."
"Won't be joining us?" asked Black Widow.
"Nope, " said Deadpool, "If he leaves the city New York will start to panic and everything fall apart and it's not his moment to shine just yet!"
"Jokes aside he is right." said Peter.
"Leave it to us." said Daredevil as he and Black widow walk off and Deadpool lounges around the headquarters. Hawkeye wasn't too sure about Deadpool. He was from another universe and was brought here, thanks to Doctor Strange. He was not sure what was what in this universe and wasn't sure if Deadpool could be trusted.
"Look I know I'm new here. But you really trust Deadpool? The guy probably turn on us for a hundred bucks and a pack of gum."
"He's different now since the Regime came into power. Mostly." Hawkeye looked at Peter, and then at Deadpool. He remembers Deadpool as a psychotic madman who never made any sense. He was someone he did not trust at all. But he did trust Peter. If Peter trusted him, then that was good enough for him, and went off to do the mission.
-At the Everglades Swamp-
Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Daredevil tracked down Mysterio's crew loading up the boat with crates. Mysterio was nowhere to be seen, only a few thugs and Sandman.
"Hurry it up will ya! I don't want Red Skull coming after me just because you're too slow." said Sandman
"The three heroes look on, but something was coming behind to strike them. Daredevil's hyper senses alerted him of the danger approaching behind them. He uses billy club and deflects all of the shurikens.
"Elektra...Are you here to stop them?" asked Daredevil She stayed silent and then Mysterio appears a poof of smoke.
"Quite the catch here Elektra." said Mysterio.
"Elektra...you're with them!?" said Daredevil in shock.
"Matthew. Your friend Peter was supposed to make a better world. But the Hand does not see it that way. Red Skull will keep his promise, or he'll be next." Daredevil knew she was telling the truth, his senses told him so. In the past they were lovers, and it hurt him seeing his former love side with Hydra. But he must do what must be done.
"Elektra...I wish things didn't have to turn out like this. Hawkeye, Widow take on the others Elektra's mine."
Fight 1: Daredevil Vs. Elektra
Elektra throws her sai at Daredevil, but he does a windmill flip to dodge the attack and got closer to Elektra. He then bashes her face with multiple strikes from his billy clubs and ends the string of attack with a strong hit that forces her to bounce off the wall and he leaps up to kick and quickly lands and does another combo. She gets up and does a flying knee, knocking him down face first. He gets up and fires a wire out of his billy club and it wraps around Elektra and he pulls himself towards her and kicks her in the face. He finds a tractor tire and kicks it towards her knocking her down. The two then collide and are face to face.
"Give in to your demons Matthew." said Elektra.
"My faith won't let me." Said Daredevil. Daredevil pushes back and delivers a powerful strike with his billy clubs. As she got back up Daredevil uses a nearby truck to give him a extra boost and leaps over Elektra and delivers a powerful combination of hits all using his Billy club and knocks out Elektra. "We really could've used your help Elektra." He said sadly. He runs and sees Hawkeye and Black Widow on the ground coughing from the green mist. He approaches them and two glass orbs roll to his feet. The orbs shatter and green gas is released.
"Mysterio...your illusions won't work on me." said Daredevil.
"You'll appreciate my new magic trick." He sprays more of the green gas at Daredevil, and this time it actually affected his senses. "You seem to have a high tolerance. However, no one is immune to Mysterio!"
Fight 2 Daredevil vs. Mysterio
Mysterio fires a green energy beam, and Daredevil ducks out the way. He slides towards his legs and trips him up. Mysterio gets back up in the green smoke teleports behind him and blasts from behind. Daredevil gets up does a command grab where he grabs Mysterio's arm, throws him to ground and he still holds his arm and puts him in an arm bar for a sec. The two get up and Mysterio fires something in the ground to knock Daredevil down. He gets up and dashes forward and performs a boxing combination. Mysterio pushes back slightly and the two collide.
"You're not Quentin Beck." said Daredevil.
"Of course not, I'm Mysterio." Daredevil pushes back and delivers a powerful strike with his billy clubs, knocking him back. As he gets up, Daredevil throws his billy club and knocks him out.
"Your tricks won't work." Mysterio needed to escape, and fast. He increased his dosage of the gas and this time it started to affect Dardevil. He starts to collapse to the ground and the area starts to change. His senses detected two new beings and he slowly crawls before them. To his horror it was the dead bodies of his two best friends, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. He then hears footsteps getting closer and closer to him, and a familiar laugh. It was Norman Osborn.
"Well well well. The devil himself is actually sad. What's wrong? Sins haven't been atoned for? No wonder the Avengers never asked you to join." Daredevil's resolve began to waver and the Green Goblin knew it. Daredevil then remembered what his friends went through and everything they fought for and died for. He couldn't let their death be in vain. Green Goblin goes in for the attack, but Daredevil's hyper awareness kicked in and stopped the attack.
"I've spent many years facing my fears. Understand how they enslaved me and how it divided me from my loved ones. I've transcended my fears, and I am brave enough to forgive myself. I am more than just the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. I am the Man Without Fear!"
Fight 3: Daredevil vs. Green Goblin
Green Goblin wasted no time and got on his glider and charged at Daredevil. Daredevil's legs gets entangled by the wires and gets dragged all over the place. He then flies high up in the air, slams him to the ground and drops multiple pumpkin bombs and drops one giant one. It wasn't enough to knock him out though. He gets back up and leaps on a nearby car to jump over Green Goblin and lands behind him and beats him down with a slew of combinations. Daredevil fires a wire out of his billy club and it wraps around Goblin's leg and throws him to the other side and then throws him again. He then puts his billy clubs together and it becomes a bo staff and smacks Green Goblin a bunch of times. Green Goblin pushes him back and the two collide.
"I'll blow you to bits." said Green Goblin
"You don't scare me." Said Daredevil. Daredevil pushes back and bashes Goblins face in. He dives forward and grabs him. He rapidly stabs him with his billy club and bashes his face, knocking out the goblin. "Never back me up in a corner." The gas clears up, Daredevil spots Hawkeye and Black Widow taking out the rest of the thugs. The rest are making their escape. "Hawkeye take the boats before they escape!" Said Daredevil. Hawkeye wasted little time and fired a couple of explosive arrows and stopped two of the boats. The third and last boat was about to escape until a giant boulder was thrown and hit the boat. The threes heroes turn to see who it was that threw it, and it was none other then the Hulk, who has been missing since the fall of the regime.
"Leave...Hulk...alone..." said Hulk.
"Hey easy there jolly green giant." said Hawkeye, "We are not here for you."
"Hulk said...leave...Hulk...ALONE." He swings his massive arms and while Daredevil and Black Widow dodged it, Hawkeye got hit and was knocked out. Black Widow quickly fired multiple tranquilizers that were designed for the Hulk specifically. Hulk then clapped loudly and knocked Black Widow out and messed with Daredevil's senses.
"Hulk listen. We're not after you. Let us leave." He said as his senses came back. Hulk didn't want to hear it. He spent all these years hiding and in peace, and wanted to keep it that way.
"No...Hulk don't care about outside world. Hulk only cares for his home!"
Fight 4: Daredevil vs. Hulk
Hulk charges forward and runs down Daredevil. He gets up a with the wires within the billy clubs he twirls it around, hitting the Hulk multiple times. Daredevil does a diving dropkick and thankfully with the Hulk slowing down from the tranquilizers he is able to kick him hard enough to knock him back. Hulk bounces off the wall and Daredevil leaps up and kicks him in the air and as he lands, Daredevil does another combo, dealing more damage. Hulk claps loudly, knocking Daredevil back. Daredevil throws a flaming barrel at Hulk and it explodes upon impact. Hulk gets up and Daredevil leaps forward to kick him in the chest and then kicks him a few more times, knocking him down again. Daredevil pushes forward and Hulk collides with him.
"Having a tough time keeping up?" said Daredevil.
"Hulk crush you!" Daredevil pushes back and bashes Hulk's face in with his billy clubs. Daredevil needed to finish this before the Hulk got too strong. Daredevil throws his billy club and it wraps around Hulk. Daredevil dives forward and everything went black. Hulk couldn't see anything, but kept getting hit over and over again. Next thing Hulk knew, he gets hit something really hard and knocks him out and the light comes back on and has Daredevil standing with his back turned towards him and there was a fire in shape of a DD formed before him, knocking him out.
"We're wasting time Bruce." Daredevil walks up to Hulk, helping him up. "Hulk we're not after you, and we didn't destroy your home. It's Mysterio and his crew we were after." The tranquilizers kick in and the Hulk revert back to Bruce Banner just as Hawkeye and Black Widow gets up.
"Sorry about that. Since our dealings with the Regime, Hulk and I want to keep our distance from society."
"We understand Bruce. We could use someone like you on our team." said Black Widow.
"Thanks for the offer Nat. But, right now Hulk and I just want to be away from the chaos and just want to be alone."
"Well if you ever change your mind, give us a holler." said Hawkeye. The three heroes leave Bruce alone as he wished, and went inside the quinjet to fly back home and report what happened.
