Here's the next prequel chapter of the story before we get into the main story. Just a few more and that's it, I promise! Anyway, let's get into the story!

Injustice 2 belongs to DC Comics and Nether-realm Studios

It's been one year since Batman went inside to check everyone in their cells, and the eighteen year old Billy Batson was still in his cell. He was staring at the wall while thinking of what he should do once he got out.

'Hmmm, maybe I can get a job in Fawcett City once I get out' He told himself, remembering how he once had a job before the whole superhero gig happened.

During his time, almost every Regime member had their trial. Some of them that were forced or at least changed sides for the better were given a lighter punishment. However, others that enjoyed tormenting innocents even before joining the Regime (either willingly or forced to) were given either a higher punishment, or worse… The Death Sentence.

A few that received the lighter jail sentence were Selina, Barry and Billy himself. Others who got a high jail sentence were Damian, Cyborg and Hawkgirl. Most who got either the much, much higher jail sentence or even the death sentence were Superman, Bane and Killer Frost. However, the judge and the world leaders decided to spare the former hero of Metropolis and let him stay in prison, until the time comes when the world is in danger or if he fully is sorry for everything he's done.

However, a lot of things happened during his stay. His adopted family came to visit and see him since they didn't have time to visit last year since they were busy thanking someone for protecting Fawcett City during his absence. Billy told his family that he was doing okay and that everything is going well. However, when he asked who protected Fawcett City while he was in prison, they kept their mouths shut for some reason. They did tell him that someone was going to pick him up once he got out of prison, something he was really grateful for. They bid farewell and he smiled, happy that his family came to visit him.

During his family's visit, the other regime members were going through their trials. However, there were those who didn't wait. Barry got a plea deal and got out of jail quickly. Selina, who was getting tired of her punishment, just decided to escape from prison, disappearing while everyone was asleep. Killer Frost got the death penalty and was scheduled for it. While she was a villain, even Billy felt bad for her. Hawkgirl even disappeared in a bright light and vanished out of her cell. Now, he was the only one left, along with Damian, Bane and Cyborg.

Anyway, he continued to stare at the wall when the whole place started to shake. "What the?!" He got up from his bed and walked towards the locked door, "What's happening?!" He asked in shock.

"I'm starting to think the same thing" Cyborg stated, not knowing what's going on either.

That was when people in black ninja outfits came from the roof and entered the prison, already killing the guards.

"What the?!" Billy was shocked to see these people. "Ninjas?!"

"Nah, Billy, it's worse…" Cyborg declared, "It's the League of Assassins."

"The same people that trained Damian?!"

"Yep… That's about right" Damian answered Billy's question. He then looked and saw three women standing in front of his cell. While he didn't know who the other two were, he knew exactly the main woman was, "Mom… Get me out of here."

"Of course, Son," The woman said, opening his cell. She then saw her son getting up from his bed and walking out of his cell.

"Thanks, mother," He replied before looking at the other two women, "You look familiar… I don't know about the other one though.

The first woman looked familiar to him due to her wearing the same suit he used to wear. The other woman wears a black leather jacket with strips of leather, golden fastenings and a shoulder brace, black combat trousers, black gloves and hover boots. She wore a customized mask, fitted with a voice modulator and consisting of armored plating. She also has a Concussion Staff.

"Damian, this is Athanasia al Ghul… Your sister and the 'Daughter of the Bat'" Talia reveals to him.

Billy, Cyborg and Damian were shocked to hear that.

'How many bad women find Batman attractive?' Billy asked himself quietly in his head, not knowing what Batman saw in Talia.

"Nice to meet you… Brother" Athanasia al Ghul replied with a mock smile.

"Nice to meet you too," Damian answered back with a scowl before looking at the other woman, "And you are?"

Before he could get an answer out of the mysterious woman, Warden Dan Turpin and two more guards came in behind them, ready to shoot.

"Alright, you fools, either surrender and go back to your cells, or we will shoot!" Dan said.

"Wait for just a minute, Mr. Damian," The woman before throwing two knives that killed the last two guards then quickly kicked Dan in the gut and brought him to his knees, "Now, to answer your question, I am Lady Arkham."

"Lady Arkham? I think my father told me about you… How are yo-?"

"I'll explain later, but first, let me finish this fool." She was about to kill Dan before she heard Billy shouting.

"Wait! Don't do it!" Billy called out, not wanting Warden Dan to be killed, "You don't have to kill him."

"Actually, I do. If I let him live, he'll just alert that fool that we're here" She replies in anger.

"If you're referring to Batman, he's already here!" Dan said.

"Oh, that's an impostor." Athanasia al Ghul replied sheepishly.

"Wait, what?!"

"Yeah, that was a fake."

"Now, to continue what I was about to do," Lady Arkham interrupted the two and proceeded to kill Warden Dan, only to be stopped by Billy again when he shouted.

"Please, d-don't do it! I don't know who you are, but you don't need to do this. Warden doesn't need to die" Billy once again begged, trying his best to convince her not to do the deed.

Lady Arkham then gave him a sad look, "I'm sorry, but this must be done" She said before stabbing Warden Dan in the throat.

"NO!"

"Okay, let's go," Damian said, already wanting to get out of here.

"Gotta agree with 'mister perfect' over here." Athanasia al Ghul smirked.

That was when the four of them and the League jumped out towards the roof, leaving. Billy had a sad look on his face, feeling remorse due to his inability to save the Warden.

"Billy, it's not your fault. There was nothing you could've done," Cyborg said, trying to comfort him despite seeing him a traitor to the Regime, "Even if you did got out, you wouldn't stand a chance, that and you wouldn't want to use your powers knowing that it would increase your stay here in prison, would you?"

Batson saw the truth in his former comrade's words. He then sat down on his bed and lay down in regret, "I'm sorry, Warden Dan…"

The Hideout of the League of Assassins

Damian, Athanasia, Talia and Lady Arkham were at the hideout, waiting for the others to show up.

"Thanks mom" Damian said to his mother, hugging her.

"Of course, dear" Talia replied, hugging him as well.

After the reunion, Damian looked at Lady Arkham, "So, who are you again?"

"Well, my name is Lady Arkham... But truthfully..." She then remembers her mask, revealing who she truly was, "I'm Victoria Arkham. Victoria Vale is my adoptive name..."

"Now it made sense... My father and Superman told me about you," Damian started, "You were the one trying to kill him to avenge your family. Later on in life, Superman found you while he was searching for criminals and gave you a spot in the Regime. What happen, and how are you alive?"

"Let's just say... Things took a toll on me..."

(Flashback - Arkham Asylum - Years Ago)

She gets out of the rubble in the underground church under Arkham Asylum and she vowed revenge on Bruce/Batman for leaving her to die and what his father did to her birth family…

"Damn him! DAMN HIM!" She screamed in rage, "He left me for dead! He's gonna pay for that!"

She then walks up into her old chamber and turns on the TV. That was when she sees Bruce Wayne with a young Dick Grayson…..then she sees a young Jason Todd and then she sees a young Tim Drake and Cassandra Cain, then lastly Damian Wayne….."

"So... The so-called Hero of Gotham caught himself some followers of his own, I see... Looks like I have to bring-up my A-Game!"

Later on, she restarts the children of Arkham to combat against Batman's Bat Family, The Teen Titans and the Justice League. Of course, she would lose every single time... However, she did took a liking of Damian and Cassandra. She also was a huge fan of Wonder Woman. She even had a fan-woman-crush on the amazon.

However, many years later, the destruction of Metropolis happened, which killed all the members of the Children of Arkham. She was the only surviving member left. Heard about the Regime and not wanting to be killed, she hid quietly in the Arkham Asylum.

...

(Years Later - Arkham Asylum - Cellblock C)

"That's enough... Let's go" Superman told Damian.

"But the inmates-!" Damian tried to protest.

"Not today." He said calmly. He then picked him up and went through the sky, leaving Batman who was staring at the deceased Zszaz. However, that was when he saw something, "What the?"

"Superman? What is it?" Damian asked.

"I thought I saw something... Damian, stay right here... I'll be right back." Superman then went back inside.

...

Lady Arkham was hiding from the police and criminals, seeing what the Regime was doing. She didn't want to get sent to one of the Regime's much more secure jail centers. She especially doesn't want to get executed by the so-called heroes.

"I-I can't die! I can't die! Not here! Not now!" She said in fear, not wanting to die. However, that was when she heard someone calling out her attention.

"Hey! Come on out!" That voice said, who turned out to be Superman, "Come out... I know you're here..."

Victoria Vale then came out with her hands up, awaiting her fate. "Just get it over with..." She said sadly, "I'll at least get to see my family again..."

"That's enough..." Superman said calmly, "Put your hands down, I'm not here to kill you."

"Y-You're not?"

"I don't hurt nor kill children"

"T-Thank you..."

"You must be Victoria Vale... Well, that's your adoptive name, correct?"

"Y-Yes... My truth birth name is Victoria Arkham..."

"Why are you here?"

"To seek safely... In case if I was gonna get killed by one of your Regimers..."

"Don't worry, no harm is gonna come to you..."

"Hpmh, that's what my old adoptive parents said... Before they tortured me in that underground chamber for years...!"

"Your.. Adoptive Parents?"

That was when Vale gave Clark her old adoptive family photo shoot, showing a father, a mother, a young boy and herself.

"That's my adoptive family..." She declared angrily.

"I'm guessing that they all abused you?" Superman guessed.

"Well, only the parents..." She replied before pointing at the boy in the picture, "My adoptive brother and I got along well."

"Really?"

"Yeah... He was the only one who understood my pain... We both lost our separate real families before we were sent to the Vales. Those bastards abused us daily... Only 'taking care of us' for the sake of money! I lost my family because of Thomas Wayne... My adoptive brother lost his family because of a fire..."

"Wait, Thomas Wayne? What did he do to you? He's dead."

"Back when he was alive... He ordered the assassination of my birth family when they objected to his use of the Asylum"

"He once owned Arkham?"

"I'll explain later... The point is... I lost everything... My birth family... My adoptive brother... Even the will to live..." She then started to cry.

Clark saw the honest tears that were coming from her eyes. He have to admit, she was a criminal, and there was no way he would place a criminal into his ranks. However, he also saw that she had a tragic past, just like he does. They both lost their families and homes. They even had to throw away the 'No Kill' rule in order to protect others, to make sure it doesn't happen again.

He then gently walked over to her and gave her a hug. "Why don't you join with me?"

"W-What?" She asked in shock, "Really?"

"You lost many innocents, and so have I. We both need to do something about Batman before it's too late." He declares.

"For once... You and I are in agreement, sir... And I know how we can do it."

"You have an idea?"

"Yes... Batman's True name must be revealed to the public... The sins of the Wayne bloodline end here."

(Flashback Ends)

"That's how you survived, huh?" Damian asked

"Yes... And it was my idea to reveal your father's name to the public." Lady Arkham said with a smirk.

"You and I are gonna get along great." He smirked back at her.

Talia starts giggling while Athanasia just groaned.
