After Damian Wayne escaped prison, thanks to the League of Assassins, Billy Batson was mad at himself. He wasn't able to stop Damian from escaping. He also wasn't able to save the Warden from getting killed by Lady Arkham.
It's been a few months ever since the break-in and the Dark Knight came to visit.
"What happened here?" That was the first thing he asked. Of course, Cyborg and Bane kept quiet, not wanting to speak to the dude who locked them up. That, and they were asleep.
That was when Billy Batson called out his attention, "Bruce… I'll tell you everything you need to know."
The eighteen year old told the man everything. About Damian's escape, the League of Assassins and the surprising return of Lady Arkham, which surprised the Dark Knight.
"L-Lady Arkham?" Bruce asked in shock.
"Y-Yeah, d-do you know her?" Billy asked in concern.
Bruce looked down in shame, "As a matter of fact, yes… Yes I do."
Bruce then proceeds to tell the young redeemed prisoner about Lady Arkham's origins. Of how her birth parents died thanks to his surprisingly evil father, how her adopted parents abused her, how she transformed into who she is today, how she killed her abusive adopted parents and how she revealed his father's wrongdoings to the world.
Billy was shocked to say the least. He felt sadness, remorse, anger and sympathy for the villain. She caused a lot of bad things, and yet, she also had a tragic past. He also couldn't believe that Batman's father was like that.
"I-I'm sorry to hear all of that…" Billy said with a tone of sadness.
"When I found out what my own father had done… I couldn't look at myself anymore… I couldn't even see my own parents in the same bright light like I did before…" Bruce said sadly, "I-I couldn't forgive them for what they did… However, when I realized that my mother wasn't in it and was trying to stop my father's wrongdoings, I was able to forgive her…"
Billy then gently gave him a hug, seeing that he needed it, "I'm sorry you had to go through all of that."
"Thank you, Billy. I-I truly needed this. A lot has happened while you were in here." Batman confirmed.
"What happened?"
The Dark Knight then proceeds to tell him about Black Canary's survival, another alternate Green Arrow's arrival, Alfred's revival and recusing the Teen Titans and getting them out of the Phantom Zone.
"Wait? Alfred and Black Canary are alive? Another Green Arrow is here? And the Teen Titans were in the Phantom Zone?!" Billy asked in shock.
"Yes… I-I have to thank Damian for doing the deed…" Batman admits, 'He truly did care about him. Guess Grayson was right about him' He then went back to the other subject, "I'm guessing that Superman didn't tell you about that, didn't he?"
"No… No, he didn't," Billy admits, "If I had known that, I would've bailed out the Regime and freed the Titans a lot sooner…"
Batman then placed his hand onto his shoulder in order to comfort him, "It's okay, Billy, you didn't know. Even Starfire, Wonder Girl, Superboy and Red Robin forgave you. I told them about your redemption and how you tried your best to keep Superman in check before he killed you."
"Thanks for telling me" Billy said with a smile, "Are they okay?"
Batman then looked down in shame, "Most of them are…"
"W-What happened?"
"Zod happened…"
(Batman's Flashback)
Batman and his team enter the Fortress of Solitude Before they arrived, Catwoman told them that while she was forced to work under Superman, she found out that the remaining Teen Titans were trapped in the Phantom and they had to be saved. When they arrived, they then saw Superman's adoptive parents, Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent. All of them were shocked that they were still here after the whole incident. The kents allowed everyone (except for Harley Quinn) to come inside.
Plastic Man then got all the Titans (except for Superboy due to his heart condition) out of the Phantom Zone. Everyone then greeted each other while Bruce Wayne and Tim Drake had their touching family reunion.
"Tim…"
"Bruce…"
The two of them then hugged, happy to see each other after six years.
"I knew you'd come for us," Tim said.
"It's true," Starfire replied, "He said it all the time."
"I'm sorry it took so long." Batman apologies.
"We didn't know you were in there." Batgirl added.
"Barbs… How long have we been here?" Red Robin asked.
"Six years…" Batman answered for Batgirl, "The world has… changed. It's not the same place you left behind."
"Can the world still use Batman and Robin?"
That was when a laser beam appeared out of nowhere and shot Tim straight through his heart, instantly killing him.
"TIM!" Batman screamed in horror as he caught Tim from falling to the ground but was already too late to save him from his shockingly-sudden death.
"Bruce…" Time drew his last word to his mentor and father before dying.
Everyone then turned around and saw one of Superman's deadliest of foes who was choking Plastic Man… General Zod!
(Batman's Flashback Ends)
"G-General Zod?!" Billy was shocked to hear that. He knew all about him since Superman told him about it back in his 'superhero' days, "He got out of the Phantom Zone and killed your son?!"
"Y-Yes…" Batman said sadly, "The Titans and I tried our best to stop him… I even actually decided to break my 'No Kill' rule and end him for what he did to Tim… However… The league sent Amazo to kill him.
"Woah…" Billy once again started having mixed feelings. On one hand, Zod definitely deserved it after what he did to Tim. However, even as evil as he is, not even he deserved that.
"We then tried to destroy him next, but somehow, by some miracle, something or someone else destroyed him for us."
"Looks like you guys have been through a lot… How is everyone else?"
"Canary and Arrow decided to have their wedding at another later day since the League wrecked their first one, Starfire and her friends are looking for potential candidates for the revival of their team, and Harley's helping me with a lot of things. She even helped me build Brother Eye."
"Brother Eye?"
"We'll cross that road later. Right now, I need to head back. I got a lot on my plate."
"Okay, see ya later, Bruce."
"See ya, Billy"
Bruce Wayne then left with a smile on his face. He was proud that Billy Batson was doing well during his prison sentence. Heck, with good behavior and all, he might be let out early.
Billy Batson was also happy that he was doing okay. However, he was also feeling bad for Bruce. He just got his son out from the Phantom Zone, only for him to be killed quite quickly. He then started to wonder about the others. He couldn't wait to see them again after his prison sentence. However, he was also scared. Sure, maybe Harley, the Titans and the other Green Arrow would be glad to talk to him, but Black Canary would most likely scream at him for understandable reasons. After all, he did join Superman's regime, the same group that killed their world's Green Arrow, her previous husband.
"Hopefully things will be okay once my prison sentence is completed." He replied before getting sleepy and deciding to go to bed.
(Kahndaq)
The ruler of Kahndaq, Black Adam, was watching the status of his kingdom and watching two females fight each other. He was also glad that everything was going his way, at least for the time being. Anyway, he was free from whatever crimes he did, as long as he stayed in his home. He was also training another kryptonian!
The kryptonian shot lasers from her eyes that were blocked by another female's sword.
"So predictable" She said with a smirk before kicking her opponent's face.
"Wow, Arkham, you really know how to kick!" The kryptonian said with a smile.
"Thanks, Kara. I've been practicing" Lady Arkham replied.
"Good job, you two" Another female said who was also watching the training session, along with Black Adam and Damian Wayne.
"Thank you, Diana." Kara said.
"You girls just keep getting better and better, huh?" Damian jokes.
When Kara first arrived on Kahndaq, Adam was the first one to find her. He then told her about what happened to the world, making Superman and the Regime a group of heroes while making Batman and the Insurgency the villains. He then trained her to fly. That was when he saw Damian Wayne, aka Nightwing, and Victoria Arkham/Vicki Vale, aka Lady Arkham, enter his kingdom since they left the League of Assassins a few months ago.
Black Adam had allowed Damian and Arkham to stay, as long as they followed his rules around his home. That was a few months back before the A.M.A.Z.O incident. At first, he didn't want them to know about Supergirl's existence due to many reasons. However, the two of them were able to convince him and allowed them to train or hang out with Kara.
The two of them also told Supergirl about their families. For Damian's side of the story, he states how the League of Assassins were pure evil and that Batman was near pure evil. For Victoria's side of the story, she told her that her biological family was killed thanks to Batman's father and how she was adopted and abused by her adoptive foster parents. She admits that while she did grew up and later killed them, she proclaims that she did it because there was no choice and that she was saving her kind adoptive brother, something even Supergirl (despite not liking to kill, no matter what) understood.
They've also rescued Wonder Woman from her imprisonment back in Themyscira, her own former home. Once that was finished, they returned to their hiding place and continued their training, so their paid-off work would aid them to someday release Superman from his unjust prison.
That was when one of Black Adam's faithful servants walked up to them, "Sorry to disturb you all, but there's someone who would like to speak to you and Wonder Woman, your highness."
"Who is it?" Black Adam asked.
"She didn't tell me her name, sir. She only wishes to speak to you and Wonder Woman."
Diana and Teth-Adam looked at each other before nodding in agreement. They then looked at the others.
"Stay, we'll be right back." Diana said before walking to the front with Adam.
...
(The Front of Kahndaq)
The two have made it to the front to talk to the visitor, who was floating right in front of them.
"Who are you, and what business do you have with Kahndaq?" Black Adam asked, not happy to see this person.
"I'll have to ask the same question," Wonder Woman added, "You're not wanted here, or on Earth, in general. What are you doing here?"
The visitor was shown to be a tall, beautiful woman. She has tan skin; angular, dark-violet eyes; and small, rounded, violet eyebrows. She appears to be wearing black eyeliner as well, or it could be that her eyelashes are naturally very thick. She also has shiny, straight, waist-length, black hair with short bangs. Her outfit acts more like full-body armor with a black crop top, mini-skirt and thigh-high boots.
"It's just a small visit, what's wrong with that? Come on, Adam. We once teamed up before. Don't tell me that 'hanging out' with those goody-goodies made you soft?" The visitor replied with a smirk.
That was when Black Adam flew up, right into her face, "We have before, Tamaranean, but things have changed since you last visited." He growled with her, "And I'm not soft! And these 'goody-goodies' you speak of no longer have any soft spots for unwanted visitors"
Wonder Woman then flew up next to Black Adam, "Why are you even on Earth? Didn't the Titans imprison you?"
The female Tamaranean then smirked, "I was, but then I escaped. So, after my latest breakout I was of course eager to visit my dearest younger sister Kori'ander and get some much needed revenge for my re-incarceration. It didn't take me long to find this little mudball, but I saw that a lot has changed since my last visit, her little boy-toy was dead along with the green mongrel and you Justice Leaguers seemed to have grown a backbone and taken over before Batman beat all of you… Again"
"If that was true, then why come here?"
"Well, I'll admit, normally I wouldn't bat an eyelid to even interact with any of you but since my dearest sister seems set on opposing you, I thought I might as well help out."
"And why should we trust you?"
"Aww, you know the old saying: the enemy of my sister is my friend"
The two looked at each other Diana let out a sigh and gave her an answer.
"Very well, I will admit, while I truly disapprove of Superman almost fatally harming Superboy and trapping him and the other Titans into the Phantom Zone, they could be a threat to our cause," Wonder Woman admits, remembering how she found from Wonder Girl that Superman trapped her and her friends and the Phantom Zone and now knows that they'll be on opposing sides, "It'll be best to let go of old grudges and become a united front if we're going to free Kal-El."
Black Adam nodded to Wonder Woman before turning his attention to the visitor, "So be it. I suppose there are small benefits in a group effort," He admits before glaring at her, "Nevertheless, if you prove useless or dare to betray us, then I will be forced to erase you. No hard feelings…"
The female Tamaranean only gave him an evil smirk, "Heh, the same goes for both sides…"
...
That was when they returned to the others.
"Damian, Kara, Victoria, Meet Starfire's sister." Wonder Woman said, giving the visitor a warm welcome to the team.
The visitor then walked up to the others and had a big smirk on her face, "Hello, everyone! The name's Blackfire. Nice to meet you!"
