(Few Hours Ago - After Leaving Stryker's Island)
Harley Quinn was on her motorcycle, with the twenty year old Billy Batson with her. She was taking him home after he finally served his prison sentence.
"I'm glad you're finally out of Jail, Billy," Harleen said with a smile, "I miss ya!"
"Truth be told, I miss you too," Billy replied, "How is everyone?"
"Everyone's doing great, although Bats still hasn't found the other Regimers that are in hiding. Speaking of which, I know this might sound wrong but how was prison?"
"Well, it wasn't that bad. The food there was good, I have to thank Alfred for serving it to me. I was also able to talk to Canary, Arrow, Starfire and the Titans thanks to the hologram phone that Bruce gave me. Damian even came back to serve his prison sentence because Alfred convinced him. However, a lot of things happen there… Bane escaped, Killer Frost/Dr. Louise Lincoln got executed for her crimes and Hawkgirl vanished in a blink of an eye."
"Woah… Almost feel bad for frosty… Also can't believe the bird-brain actually disappeared. Where do you think she went?"
"I don't even know… I do hope that she's okay"
That was when they finally made it to the road entrance of Fawcett City and drove through it.
"Hey, Billy, can I ask ya something?" Harley asked.
"Um, sure, what is it, Harley?" Billy replied.
"Since you're 20 years old and all, think you and I could, you know?~"
"Date each other?"
"Well, yeah. Don't worry, not right now, of course. I'm taking you back to your parents' house and Bats needs me for some kind of mission, but maybe after that and if you get permission from your parents, think we could go on our first date?"
"Hmmm… Well… Maybe, if I convince my parents, and once I get a bit older, then maybe we could date each other, how's that?"
"Eh, sounds fair!"
They then finally made it to Billy's house.
"Thanks, Harley," Billy said with a smile, gently kissing Harley on the cheek. This caused the former clown princess of crime to blush.
"Aww, you're welcome, Billy," Harleen said with a smile while blushing, "See ya, Billy!" She then drove her motorcycle away from the area.
"See ya later, Harleen," Billy said, waving back before entering his parent's house.
Once he entered his house, his adopted family ran and hugged him.
"I miss you guys," Billy said to his family.
(The Present Day - A few weeks later)
Introducing Billy Batson back to the world was surprisingly easy, and yet, extremely complicated all at the same time. There were people that eagerly accepted that the hero was back, like those in Fawcett City, but also those who were hesitant for the hero to immediately come back with no questions asked. Then there were people that hated Shazam simply for being affiliated with the Regime, people that wanted nothing to do with him and demanded he be given the same treatment as the rest of the Regime members, which he did.
After his prison sentence, he was pardoned from his crimes as a former regime member as long as he doesn't use his powers. Billy agreed, knowing that even though he helped take down the Regime, he still helped the Regime take over and he already felt that he didn't deserve to use his powers anymore.
However, there were a few heroes that forgave the young adult like Batman, Starfire, Superboy, Wonder Girl, Black Canary, the other alternate Green Arrow, Blue Beetle and Firestorm.
Batman forgave him and gave him a second chance because Billy did help take down Superman.
The Titans forgave him because they knew that Billy didn't know about them being in the Phantom Zone. If he had, he would've quickly ditched the Regime and found a way to rescue them sooner.
Blue Beetle and Firestorm knew that he was a good guy even when he joined the Regime so of course they would forgive him. That and Blue Beetle was a big fan of him which was why they would talk to each other during Billy's prison sentence.
As for Black Canary, Billy was scared of holo-calling her. However, he decided to give her a bit of closure. He started off by apologizing for what Superman did to her and ruining her life ever since he joined the regime. That was when Canary interrupted him, saying that while she didn't fully forgive him, she didn't hate him either. She knew that he was a good person and she also knew that he had no idea that Superman killed her previous husband, which was why she decided to let it go. So, they both agreed to be acquaintances and see how it'll go, with Canary telling him that if he wants her friendship again, he has to earn it. Billy figured that it was fair, he was just happy that Dinah didn't totally hate him.
Right now, he was in his room, on the phone, talking to Freddy and Mary.
"You guys took a job as guards at the island?" He asked.
"Freddy wanted to meet Blue Beetle and Firestorm, so yeah," Mary replies, "The whole team called the 'Titans' are gonna be guarding Superman and his remaining friends so they asked us for help since you're on probation."
"Yeah… That would be a good thing though. Freddy will meet his favorite Teen Titan and you get to learn more about them, right?"
"True. Kinda wish that you were here, though. They would've loved to see ya again"
"Same, but you know I can't break my pardon agreement. I'll call ya later."
Billy then ended the call, putting his phone on the shelf. He then laid onto his bed, intending to sleep.
(Billy's Dream - The Rock of Eternity)
The boy's eyes lit up just a little bit, showing that he was getting up. "Woah, I needed that," He said before getting up and realizing that he wasn't in his room anymore, "What th-?! Why am I not in my room?"
He somehow knew that he was at the Rock of Eternity, but he wanted to know why he was here. He started walking until he found the Wizard Shazam.
"Billy Batson… You've returned." The wizard Shazam said with a smile.
"S-Shazam?" Billy was shocked to see his old friend again but smiled back, happy to see him again, "It's good to see you again, too."
"Heh, you've grown."
"Yeah, I'm not a little kid anymore."
"No, no you're not, haha."
After they talked for a few minutes, Billy then asked him a question.
"Not that I don't mind being here, why did you send me here? Or, is this just a dream?"
"You are dreaming, but this is real as well. I have sent you here for a reason."
The two of them then continued to walk to the center of the Rock of Eternity.
"What reason?"
"I have sent you here to give you a warning: In one year after… old enemies will return and a much greater foe will invade the Earth."
"What?! How many old enemies? And who is this much greater foe?"
"I cannot say much due to the rules of fate. However, I can still aid you in the road of awakening your power once more."
"Um, Shazam, thanks, but I can't use my powers. My pardon agreement was that I can't use my powers."
"Don't worry, you're not using your powers now, or directly. The Gods and I will do the Ritual and give you the power."
"Seriously?"
"Seriously. However, since you can't use your powers directly due to your pardon agreement, you must meditate to control and increase your power, both physically and mentally, to awaken the hidden potential you have inside you."
"Alright. What do I need to do?"
"First, stand at the center."
Billy nodded and walked towards the center of the Rock of Eternity.
"Now, close your eyes"
The young adult then closed his eyes.
"Now, open them."
He opened his eyes and saw the gods around him. The gods lifted their hands and shot golden beams at the hero which gave him great pain and unknowingly great power. His body started to glow bright pure white and pure gold.
(Billy's dream ends)
"Woah!" He quickly woke up before looking at himself. He realized that he was still okay, "Oh, thank goodness. I'm still alive."
He then ponders what the wizard Shazam told him. If he truly had the potential inside of him, then he must unlock it. He was thinking about how many enemies would return of vengeance and this much greater foe could be. Either way, he decided to think about that another time.
"Well, I better meditate if I want to increase my power." He said, getting on the floor and doing the meditating pose. Unknown to him, however, the glow was happening again and appearing around him just like in his dream.
Sup, everyone! Sorry that I didn't talk in the last chapters. This is the final flashback where Billy was imprisoned and now this is also the present day of where Billy is back home as a 20 year old. That's right, next year, he will be 21 as well.
Anyway, after looking at my PMS, the reviews and knowing the fact of how Shazam died at the hands of Superman too easily back in the first game, we all know that he needed an upgrade. So, he's getting powers from the gods like he got them from the DC Universe vs. Mortal Kombat ending of his.
