While many people don't know if Aquaman was arrested or went into hiding with the rest of the Regime members, he returns to his underwater kingdom and makes sure he doesn't come across them or any human affairs again. However, when he received troubling news from Green Lantern, he wasn't surprised nor happy about it.
"Batman wants my marines to fight his battles?" Aquaman asked in anger before adding, "Like the time Superman ordered me to invade Metropolis?"
"We were all on the wrong side of that war" Green Lantern reminds him in a soft tone. However, the King was still upset.
"The next time my people's blood is spilled, it will be for Atlantis, not the surface world!" He declares.
"You're one of us too, Arthur," Hal said, trying to convince him, "Your father…-"
"My father was human, but duty is to Atlantis! I don't trust you, Jordan. You or any surface dweller! Now leave! And remind Batman - Stay out of my seas."
"And when that gets to your doorstep?!"
"Atlantis will defend itself!"
That was when the hologram disappeared and more booming sounds came from outside of the underwater castle, leaving Aquaman and Green Lantern a bit worried, "Maybe sooner than you think…. We need to help each other."
"Go!" Aquaman ordered him, "I don't need your distraction!"
Suddenly, Green Lantern's eyes glow red, as if a massive rage is taking hold of him. He screams as if in pain...but then clenches his fist, willing his rage to submit.
"NO! I'm NOT leaving!" Hal declares, looking at the king of atlantis.
"May I remind you whose kingdom this is?" Arthur questions him before glaring at the green ring holder.
...
GREEN LANTERN VS AQUAMAN
No one is more powerful in the sea than Aquaman. However, he is running and jumping instead of swimming in this fight. Who knows if Lantern's rage gave him an advantage or a handicap, but his will subdues the king of Atlantis.
...
"Listen to reason, Arthur!" He tells him. That was when the same rage came back, and just like before, Green Lantern overcame it. After calming down, Hal spoke, "Sorry, I…. I didn't come here to fight you."
Aquaman looked at him while getting up. He then listened to the green-ring holder's warnings this time.
"This is exactly what happened up there. First, they take out communications… then….-" He gets interrupted by a huge sound, of Brainiac releasing his robots to invade Atlantis, "They invade….!"
Sure enough, the same "meteorites" streak down towards Atlantis. Counter-measures are fired, but the Betas are just too numerous. Green Lantern and Aquaman stand back-to-back, preparing for the attack.
"They're your oceans, but it's also my sector! Let me help you!"
A dozen or so Betas march down the hall towards the throne room. As much as the king didn't want the lantern's help, he needed, no, he wanted to keep his kingdom safe. As such, Aquaman sighs and gives him an order, "Cover me!"
Green Lantern constructs a green brick wall to hold back the Betas. However, they fire their beams hard at the construct and eventually break through. So, instead, Lantern just runs over them all with a green semi-truck. Suddenly, Cheetah comes from behind and slashes Lantern's back. His armor heals him, but it still hurts. He looks up to see Cheetah on the rafters.
"Hmm…. I thought the only Regimer down here to torture would be Aquaman." She thought as she didn't expect to see the green-ring holder here.
"Cheetah…." Hal glared at the beast with anger.
"Let's not beat around the busy…. Wonder Woman's in hiding. Maybe down here, so tell me…. Where's your amazon friend?" She asked with bloodlust in her tone.
"Haven't you heard? I unfriended her, and so did Atlantis." Green Lantern told her. Of course, that didn't sway the beast.
"LIAR!" She screamed in anger before jumping off the roof and landed on her foot, engaging into a fight against the green-ring holder, "I don't need a golden lasso to make you tell the truth!"

GREEN LANTERN VS CHEETAH
Cheetah's an excellent hunter and no doubt about that. But simple claws and bloodlust seem to have little effect against the greatest of the Green Lantern Corps. She gets some good swipes in, but Lantern's will is too much for her.
...
"Bad Kitty!" Hal declares after defeating her. That was when he heard explosions coming from outside and inside of the underwater castle. He then flies up to look for Aquaman.
In another room, the King of Atlantis was fighting off against the Betas. One of them grabbed him from behind but Aquaman made the robot get off of him and stabbed it. Green Lantern then shows up and starts shooting them.
"My people are getting flanked. Hold this line. Be our rear guard!"
"On it! And you?"
"I'm the vanguard!"
As Aquaman leaves, Green Lantern hears a pounding outside a door. The door slams open to reveal Bane, holding the head of an Atlantean soldier.
"Hal Jordan…." Bane starts before throwing the soldier out of the way, "You have returned."
"Good to be back where I belong…. Kinda like you in a prison cell." Green Lantern remarks with a smirk.
The tough criminal then starts approaching the lantern, "Even as Yellow Lantern, you never showed me the proper respect. But I will show you…. How easily your will is broken!"

GREEN LANTERN VS BANE
If one person has as much will as Hal Jordan, it's Bane. AND he has the strength to back it up. But Green Lantern keeps him at a distance with his constructs, pounding the heck out of the roided-up luchador. As Bane staggers, Lantern kicks him to the ground.
...
"Break this!" Green Lantern told the defeated Bane who was trying to get up on his feet.
Green Lantern's eyes then glow red again. As Bane stands up, Lantern creates a hammer and swings it at him, sending him flying. As he fights off this rage, Aquaman walks up to him.
"We're locking down the gates, but the fight's not over," Arthur said before seeing that Hal looked troubled, "Hal?"
"S-Sorry…. I was…. Somewhere else," Hal explains before turning to Arthur, "Where does this lead us?"
"You've put yourself at risk for Atlantis…. Maybe you can be trusted."
"So, you're in?"
"I can't….. I belong here, defending my people."
Before Hal could reply, a red light glistened. A hollow entrance appears, from which a large, ugly humanoid creature...and a cat. They both wear Red Lantern rings; and are literally fueled by rage.
"HAL JORDAN!" The huge creatures called out in rage.
"Red lanterns?" Arthur asked in confusion as he never saw them before in his life. Not only that, but he also thought that green and yellow lanterns were the only ones around.
"Atrocitus and Dex-Starr. Agents of vengeance. Powered by rage…." Green Lanterns answers before assuring the king of Atlantis, "Don't worry. I'll handle these two…. Ring-to-ring."
"Good luck!" Aquaman encourages him before leaving to protect his people.
Once the king left, it was only the lanterns in the area. Green Lantern and Atrocitus were circling each other while giving each other dangerous glares, "You were messing with my head, haven't you, Atrocitus?" Hal questions the head of the Red Lanterns.
Atrocitus creates a red construct of Sinestro while explaining, "Sinestro's Yellow Lanterns slaughtered millions- and their victims demand vengeance!" He explains while making the red construct of Sinestro vanish, "You may have cast off their ring, but you are NOT absolved…"
"You're not the first person to tell me that,"
"Dex-Starr would tear your heart out and lap your blood...!" Atrocitus screams at him. However, he then gets close to the Green Lantern and looks down at his face, "But I sense you have a higher calling... A spark glowing within you. A spark... OF RAGE!"
Dex-Starr distracts Green Lantern by going between his ankles. As he looks down and then back up, Atrocitus spews what looks like blood into Lantern's face. Dex-Starr then leaps up onto his head and does the same.
"ARG!" Green Lantern screams in pain, "W-What are you doing?! What is this…. this anger?!"
"You may have overcome your fears, but you STILL betrayed the Green Lanterns! HURT your allies!" He then creates a red ring that was floating in front of Hal, "How could you ever forgive yourself?"
"I….I….I can't"
"THEN BURN!"
The 'blood' spewed on Green Lantern burns hotter than before with Atrocitus' rage...and with Lantern's OWN rage at himself. While Hall was screaming in pure agony, The Red Lantern ring floated towards his finger, ready to induct him in the Red Lantern Corps. However, when all hope seems lost for the green hero, Hal recites the oath.
"In brightest day... in blackest night…" He starts, still struggling to speak due to the pain he's still enduring.
"Become vengeance... Join the Red Lanterns!" Atrocitus tells him, urging him to become a Red Lantern. However, Hal was not having it!
"No evil shall escape my sight... let those who worship evil's might…." Green Lantern's ring gets powered up by Hal's strong will, tossing Atrocitus a bit further and breaking the red ring, "BEWARE MY POWER-GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!" The red monstrous lantern stood up while glaring at Hal who spoke with bravery and determination, "You're right. I do hate myself for what I've done. But my will is stronger than my hate!"

GREEN LANTERN VS ATROCITUS
Failing to TURN Green Lantern into Red Lantern, Atrocitus decides to KILL him instead. Red Lantern rings CAN dissolve Green Lantern energy from the rings, but Hal's will is so strong that Atrocitus cannot dissolve all his power. It's a tough battle, but Atrocitus is knocked down.
...
After his defeat, Atrocitus punches the ground in anger and glares dangerously at Hal, "Your world is burning. And when it is ashes, you will BEG for vengeance!" Atrocitus and Dex-Starr return back to their home planet through the same hollow entrance.
"The guardians don't need to know that one…." Green Lantern said to himself.
*Brainiac's Ship*
Back on Brainiac's ship, tendrils come down and plug into Brainiac's skull, feeding him data.
"The Beta phase is complete. Earth's defense is irreversibly compromised. Begin the countdown!"
From out of the skies, ships drop down...the same ones that surrounded Krypton years before. They start towards the cities, with Brainiac's ship "watching" with glowing "eyes".
*The Old Hideout*
Batman walks up to Green Lantern, Shazam and Flash watching the plan unfold.
"Shazam and I circled the globe. Larger ships are being positioned over these major cities" Flash explains while pointing at the red dots on the map.
"Even with Aquaman's Marines, we're still badly outnumbered" Green Lantern finishes.
Shazam then looks at Batman, "You got a plan, right?" When Batman didn't answer, he asked once more, "Please tell me you have plan. You always have a plan, r-right?"
"We have to evacuate the occupied cities before taking on Brainiac. But we need firepower..."
"Did you call the Dark Justice League, Billy?" Green Lantern asked, "You did said that you guys are cool now ever since you came back"
"I did, but they said that they were busy with another threat that's happening," Shazam answers before looking at Batman again, "So, any other heroes on our side of this war?"
"Only Starfire, Kid Flash, your siblings, Blue Beetle and Firestorm," Batman explains, "But they're busy"
"Too busy for this?!" Flash asked in shock of what else are they doing that's so important than stopping Brainiac.
"They're the last line of defense if Brainiac moves on Superman." Batman explains to the Flash.
"Well, if Brainiac doesn't try busting him out of prison, Black Adam and Wonder Woman will. And the worse things get, the more people'll think we should let him out to help"
The Dark Knight, The Green-Ring Holder and The Champion gave him a look, "Dude!" Shazam expressed his slight annoyance.
"I'm just saying..." The Flash defends himself.
Shazam then calms down, "S-Sorry, j-just still upset for what he did... I don't even like hearing his name right now..."
"We understand, Billy" The Flash said while gently patting his back.
"Let's just hope the old and new kids hold off the Most Wanted Man in the Galaxy" Hal replies.
"The Teen Titans are Green," Batman admits, "But together, they're the most powerful team we have"
Hey, everyone! I am very, very, very, very, VEEERRRRRRYYYYY SORRY! I know that I have no excuse, but I do have a life outside! I was busy with work and dealing with family issues. However, I'm back now! And I'm going to finish this story! After that, I'm holding off the Injustice Shazam series. Don't worry, we're getting really close to Shazam's chapter (which is between Wonder Woman's chapter and Supergirl's chapter) and a nice moment between Harley and Billy once the two reunite in the meeting. I'll begin the Teen Titans' chapter in a few days. I'll also make a new cover for this story as well.
Once again, if anyone has a name for Shazam's new special move and what kind of move it would be for this Injustice 2 AU, tell me in Reviews or PM me. Also, if anyone wants to RP and make the next chapter with me, I wouldn't mind, but I'll have to do it on Saturdays and Sundays due to the job that I have irl.
One more thing, if anybody has an idea for Harley Quinn and Billy Batson after the whole Brainiac incident, tell me please.
