Pokemon Special: Mewtwo Returns Part 1
Flashback:
When Mewtwo is created.
Mewtwo: I am Mewtwo. I am unlike other Pokémon. This is my story. A team of scientists working to create the world's most powerful Pokémon discovered a fossilized remnant of Mew, and from it created... me.
Scientist (flashback): Radio Giovanni's helicopter! Tell him what's happened!
Dr. Fuji (flashback): Quiet! Let us hear its psychic powers!
And Mewtwo proceeds to destroy the lab.
Mewtwo: Soon the Team Rocket leader, who had ordered my creation, trained me to control my abilities. But he viewed me solely as his personal property.
Giovanni (flashback): You were created by humans to obey humans.
Mewtwo (flashback): I was not born a Pokémon, I was created. And my creators have used and betrayed me. So, I stand alone!
Mewtwo proceeds to destroy the Team Rocket headquarters.
Mewtwo: After destroying his laboratory, I created my own. I lured Pokémon trainers to my island fortress to create a powerful new breed of Pokémon and wreak vengeance on humans. I seized their Pokémon and cloned them, just as I have been cloned from Mew. But soon, I encountered my nemesis.
Mew (flashback): Mew mew mew, mew mew! (You don't prove anything showing off special powers!.)
Mewtwo: A great battle ensued. A battle to determine who would rule: The Pokémon born into this world, or the cloned Pokémon created in mine. The clashes were brutal. And as Mew and I summoned all of our strength for one final confrontation, a young trainer, raised by Pokemon, cried out for the fighting to cease.
Mew (flashback): STOOOPP!
Mewtwo: Her selfless actions puzzled me. She was a human who valued all Pokémon, whether born or created. Our battling ceased. Finally, my eyes had been opened... as had my heart. The Pokémon clones and I left to find a place where we could live in peace, and I used my psychic powers to wipe out the memory of our struggle. Now I am forgotten by all but those who I trust to keep mine and the clones' existence secret. One of them is the one who opened my eyes and my heart, and was named given the name of the Pokemon I was created from. However, there is one other… the one who created me, the one whose desire to control me still burns.
Present Day:
At a location, there is a map of a region on the computer screen.
A woman's voice says, "These are live satellite pictures of a remote area of the Johto region." As the screen zooms in.
The one watching the screen is a female member of Team Rocket, and sitting next to her is Giovanni and his Persian.
The female Team Rocket member continues, "Extreme weather conditions make it uninhabitable... for people. But keep watching."
Soon, the screen zooms to an island somewhere in the Johto Region. Zooming closer to reveal Mewtwo.
Giovanni eyes wide in shock, "I've found you."
Meanwhile, somewhere in the Johto Region, Mewtwo is overlooking the lake with the other Clone Pokemon.
Mewtwo looks at the sky and says, "This place is, beautiful. But what right have I to judge? What do I know of this world and its beauty? I am not like other creatures. I am not of this world. We, are clones, copies, products of science. We are outcasts. So we must live as outcasts, if we are to live at all. We shall stay here, far from the world, far from man. It is our only hope. For if we do not live in secret, we shall never live in peace."
Mw and her friends continue on their journey and soon spot a large mountain in the distance.
"That must be…" Misty says.
"Must be!" Mew says.
"That's it, alright! Purity Canyon, the Johto region's greatest natural wonder!" Brock says.
"Yeah, no wonder," Tomo says.
"It's huge," Molly says.
"Wonder how we get across it?" Jen asks.
Brock looks at the guidebook, "The book says it's almost impossible on foot. The only way to get across it is by bus, but it only makes the trip once a month."
"When does it leave?" Misty asks
"Lunchtime today. Too bad we won't be able to go," Brock says.
"Why not?" Tomo asks.
"Yeah. We still have time to make it," Mew says.
Brock brings out a pan, "I know, but I've been planning to try a brand new recipe and make spicy pizza pancakes for lunch."
"Really?" Tomo asks.
But Misty looks ahead, "Look!"
Everyone looks as Misty points to a passing bus down the cliff.
"That must be the bus down there!" Misty says.
"I guess so," Brock says.
"Come on guys, maybe we can catch up to it," Mew says.
"Let's go!" Jen says.
With that, everyone starts making a run for the bus. Suddenly, dark clouds roll in and it starts to rain.
"Oh, no, it's raining!" Mew says.
"Hey, I know. I'll use my trusty frying pan," Brock says, and puts the pan over his head, "as a drying pan!"
Mew and her friends continue running to catch the bus. However, Team Rocket is spying on them through the binoculars.
Jessie chuckles, "Look at those twerps and their PDU escort running around in the rain."
"Imagine coming to Purity Canyon and not having the foresight to bring shelter from the inevitable storms. It's a good thing I packed this umbrella," James says and eats a kabob.
"Yeah, but what're we gonna to do when the bad weather hits?" Meowth asks.
"This is bad weather. What are you talking about?" Jessie asks,
"I'm talking about typhoons," Meowth says.
"Typhoons?" Jessie and James ask, shocked.
Holding the guidebook, Meowth says, "According to the guidebook, 'The unique geologic formations and atmospheric conditions at Purity Canyon create severe and unpredictable weather. Because blizzards, thunderstorms, and typhoons are likely, we advise tourists to avoid this area.'"
"I don't believe a word of it! Those guides sensationalize everything!" Jessie denies.
Soon, a loud rumble is soon heard and felt.
"Hey, what's that sound!?" James asks nervously.
Just then, a very strong gust of wind forces Team Rocket to grab onto their umbrella for dear life.
Jessie cries out, "How many times must our plans be destroyed?"
"Before they're allowed to be tried?" James adds in fear.
"The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind!" Meowth panics.
Soon, the wind finally blows Team Rocket away.
Team Rocket cries out, "We're blasting off again!"
Meanwhile, at the bus stop.
A woman looks at the storm and says, "It doesn't look like there are any more passengers for this month's trip. I know it's a little early to leave, but the bus is full and the weather's getting bad."
"It sure is. We'd better get going," The driver says. Then pull the switch, "Bye."
Then the bus door closes.
Meanwhile…
"Hey, wait for us!" Tomo calls out.
Mew and the others are still running to catch up with the bus. But then, Brock trips, knocks over the others, and everyone begins rolling down the hill as the bus departs from the station. And soon, the group crashes to the ground, causing the woman with glasses to turn and see them.
She rushes over and asks in concern, "Are you okay?"
"We're okay," Mew says.
"I think so," Jen asks.
Then Mew asks, "Do you know if the bus to Purity Canyon stops here?"
"Yes, it does, but I'm afraid you just missed it," The woman says.
And then Brock quickly approaches the woman, "Forget the bus. If you'd like to stay dry there's plenty of room under my frying pan if we get real close!"
"Huh?" The woman says, confused.
Misty grabs Brock by the ear, "I can smell what you're cooking up!"
Brock yelps, "A-ah! Not the ear!"
Mew stands up and dusts herself, "I'm afraid there's no way we can catch the bus in this." And looks up at the weather, "The weather looks like it's getting dangerous."
"You're right," The woman says. The wind and the rain are treacherous here, and the roads can become incredibly dangerous. It's hard enough to make it by bus. On foot, you don't have a chance! Why don't we all get out of this rain?" And looks over at the nearby cabin.
Meanwhile, the bus continues to drive along the Purity Canyon road. Soon, strong winds pick up the bus in a whirlwind, making it spiral in the air.
At the same time, Mewtwo watches the bus caught in the whirlwind and sees the people inside in danger. Mewtwo then raises his arm and hand points at it, glowing with psychic power, and points down. The bus stops spinning in midair and lands safely on the ground.
All the passengers are relieved as they say, "This is like some kind of miracle! I can't believe it!"
Bus driver questions, "How could... this happen?
Back in Mewtwo's secret location, Mewtwo watches the bus depart with Meowth-Two, Pikachu-Two, and Eevee-Two.
Pikachu-two turns to Mewtwo and asks, "Pika? Pika Pikachu? (Mewtwo? Why did you save them?)
"You ask, why did I save those humans?" Mewtwo questions.
Pikachu-Two nods his head, "Pika." (I did.)
"For our own protection. An accident could bring human rescuers. We might be discovered, and our peace disrupted," Mewtwo says.
Then Meowth_Two says, "Nya nya nya nya, nya nya?" (There should be another reason. Didn't you care and feel concerned for their safety.)
"You believe there is another reason? That I felt concerned, that I cared about the safety of those humans?" Mewtwo questions.
Meowth-Two nods his head, "Nya nya nya." (Yeah, that's right.)
And Mewtwo says, "I assure you that was not the case. I could never feel compassion for humans," and closed his eyes.
Then Eevee-Two asks, "Eevee Eevee Vee Eevee? Vee Vee Eevee Eevee Eevee?" (What about the girl and her friends? The one you trust to keep our existence a secret?)
"You are asking about the girl, Mew and her companions?" Mewtwo questions.
Eevee-Two nods her head.
"I do not fully know, but so far, she was able to live up to her promise, despite some circumstances. And others were also willing to keep that secret safe," Mewtwo says.
However, his thoughts says, "But even now, I can't get that girl Mew out of my mind. Almost as if I've seen someone else. Someone that has her face. A long time ago…"
Elsewhere, Team Rocket is hanging on the umbrella by the side of a cliff.
"Good thing we had the umbrella," Jessie says.
Then James says, "If it wasn't for the umbrella-"
"-We'd be out on a limb," Meowth adds.
In the cabin, the woman, who's named Luna, brings them some tea.
Luna says, "The company that runs the buses built this lodge about ten years ago. People who miss the bus stay here until the next one comes around in a month."
"I don't know if I want to stay here for a whole month," Tomo says.
"But it might be fun," Molly replies.
"Is there any other way to make it across the valley?" Mew asks.
"Well, you could take a boat down Purity River at the base of the canyon and get across the valley that way," Luna says.
Misty is happy to agree, "Oh, I'd love to take a boat ride, Luna! My family runs a water Pokémon gym, and I just love the water!"
"Well, if you love water, you came to the right place!" Luna says and winks.
Moments later, Luna retrieves a bucket of water from the river via a mechanical pulley.
She scoops a mug of it and gives it to Brock, "Have a drink, Brock."
Brock takes a sip and is amazed at the taste, "This water is absolutely delicious! This is the most devastatingly delicious drink I've ever encountered!"
"Hey, I wanna try some, too!" Misty says and grabs the mug.
She takes a sip and is amazed, "Aaahh! It makes me feel refreshingly alive and tingly!"
"Let me try!" Mew says.
She then takes the mug and sips the water. Even Mew is amazed, "The water tastes really refreshing and so pure! I think I just drank heaven!"
"Let us try," Tomo says.
And with that, Tomo, Molly, and Jen drink the water and they all love it.
They all happily cheer in amazement, "Super Yummy!"
Mew giggles, "We should let the Pokemon try this."
"Good idea," Misty says.
Luna then places a bowl and another mug on the group, and all the Pokemon have a taste of the water. Like their trainers, All the Pokemon are amazed and refreshed by the taste of Purity's River's water.
"I can hardly wait to ride on a river that's this super pure and clean!" Misty says.
"Indeed. As you row down the river you'll get to see many Bug Pokemon," Luna says.
"Really?" Jen asks.
It probably makes sense. Nice, clean water's just what bug Pokémon love," Brock says.
"I wonder if my Bug Pokemon would love the water," Misty says.
"Indeed, there's a lot of Bug Pokemon like Ledian, Kakuna, Beedrills, and other kinds of Pokemon," Luna says.
"UH I'm not sure if it's a good idea to be around Beedrills," Misty says, sounding a bit uneasy.
"But I thought you're no longer afraid of Bug Pokemon?" Tomo questions.
"I'm not, but I don't think it's a good idea to be around Beedrills," Misty says.
"Yeah. They might not like rowing in their territory," Jen says.
"Any other ideas," Mew replies.
"I know there's one," Brock says, and points at the mountain behind him, "There! We can go straight over the top of Mt. Quena."
"Oh, I don't think you wanna take that route, Brock," Luna advises.
"Why? Is it too hard to get up there?" Mew asks.
"Mt. Quena is the highest mountain in the whole Johto region," Luna says, "At the top of the mountain is Clarity Lake. It goes on for miles and miles, and the water is incredibly clean and clear. It's beautiful, but humans could never live there. The height of the mountain and the weather even keep visitors away. The only ones that live up there are some wild Pokémon, types that can thrive in the extreme conditions."
"Well, if there are Pokémon up there, I say we go!" Mew says.
Then Pikachu notices, "Pika?" (What's that?)
"Hey, what's that?" Mew asks, turning where Pikachu is looking.
Everyone looks to see a flock of Butterfree flying towards Mt. Quena, spreading a yellow powder.
"It's a flock of Butterfree!" Mew says.
"Some people say the Butterfree come to lay their eggs on Mt. Quena," Luna says.
Meanwhile, on the small island on top of the mountain, Mewtwo, Meowth-Two, Pikachu-Two, and Eevee-Two are seeing the same flock of Butterfree as they fly through the night.
"For these Pokémon, life is as it should be. They were born into this world. It is their home. They belong here. We were not born as they were. We are not of this world. We do not belong in it," Then Mewtwo turns to the other Pokemon, "But where do we belong?"
"Pika, pika pikachu pika pika," (I say that we belong here, Mewtwo.) Pikachu-Two says.
"Do we truly deserve to live here as much as the other Pokémon do?" Mewtwo questions.
Pikachu-Two agrees, "Pika." (Of course.)
We are unlike the others," Mewtwo replies.
Then Meowth-Two says, "Nya nya nya nya, nya nya." (They think the moon round and bright tonight, don't they?)
"Yes, I am sure the moon is round and bright to those Butterfree, just as it is to us and to any other Pokémon who sees it," Mewtwo says.
"Nya nya nya nya, nya nya nya. (If they see it as we do, then why can't we see the Earth as they do?) Meowth-Two says.
"If we see the moon as they do, why can we not see the Earth as they do? Yes," Mewtwo says and shows a smile, "Why?"
Mewtwo and the other three continue to watch the flock of Butterfree.
Meanwhile, Mew and the others are watching the same flock.
"I sure would like to see the place those Butterfree are headed," Brock says.
"Pika," (Me, too.) Sparkle says.
Soon, they hear a knock on the door, and a voice, "Good morning!" Along with a giggle.
Luna turns to the door, "Hello?"
"A visitor?" Mew questions.
"At this hour?" Misty adds.
Luna walks to the door and opens to reveal a blonde girl and a young man.
"I said 'good morning' 'cause even though it's after midnight, if I said 'good night,' you might go to bed!" The girl says.
"Huh?" Luna replies, confused.
Then the man says, "We hate to bother you, but we've been doing some exploring, and we need a place to spend the night. Oh, by the way, my name is Cullen Calex."
Hearing the name, Luna surprisingly says, "I know that name. You're the famous researcher and professor of medicine."
"Yes, and if my guess is correct, you're Luna Carson. I've read dozens of your research papers on Pokémon. It's a real pleasure to finally meet you in person," Cullen says.
"Please, come in," Luna says, motivating them to come in.
"Research papers?" Jen asks.
"Working for the bus company is my part-time job. I'm actually here observing native Pokémon and their habitats," Luna says.
Executed, the blonde girl says, "Wow, I can't believe I'm meeting the Luna Carson! I'm like a totally off-the-hook fan of yours! I wanna be exactly like you when I get old!"
"Great," Luna says, baffled. Then asks, "And you are who?"
"This is Domino. She works for the Pokémon Institute," Cullen says.
Domino happily waves, "Hi, everybody!"
Brock then slides to Domino, "Oh, Domino, what a beautiful name. So black and white, yet so playful." And takes Domino's hand, "Please, let's find a quiet spot to line up and find out if we're a match."
Domino sweat drops.
Misty then grabs Brock by the ear and drags him away, "Haven't you learned by now that you shouldn't play if you can't win?"
As Brock yelps, "Ow! Ow! Ow!"
Then Luna says to Cullen and Domino, "I'm afraid I have some bad news: the bus won't be back for another month."
But Cullen says, "Oh, I didn't come here to take the bus. I came to study the water."
"The water?" Luna questions.
"Yes," Cullen says, "I've been studying the Purity River for some time now, and I've discovered that its water contains a number of rare minerals that have an amazing effect on the health of both Pokémon and human volunteers." and takes out a vial filled with the water sample, "Here's a sample I took today. I've come here to explore Mt. Quena and unravel the secret of this miraculous water."
"That's too bad," Luna sadly says.
"Huh?" Cullen replies, confused.
Then Luna explains, "If the water does heal people, they'll come here from all over the world. Thousands of people will start coming to Mt. Quena and Purity Canyon. They might accidentally destroy the very thing they're looking for."
"I see what you mean," Cullen says.
"Then again, Mt. Quena is practically impossible to get to," Luna says.
Suddenly firecrackers go off on the back porch. Everyone turns around to see Team Rocket on the porch, and begins their motto.
Jessie:
Hi, but we're prepared for trouble.
James:
We'll scale that mountain on the double.
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James:
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie:
Jessie!
James:
James!
Jessie:
Team Rocket, blasting off at the speed of light!
James:
Surrender now, or prepare to fight fight fight!
Meowth:
Meowth, that's right!
"What do you want!?" Mew and her friend shout.
Even the Pokemon call out, (It's Team Rocket!)
"I don't remember these clowns," Domino says in thought."
"Today's the day we capture Pikachu and Eevee!" Jessie says.
"You never will!" Mew says.
"Pika!" (No way!) Pikachu says.
And Eevee says, "Eevee!" (Forget it!)
"Don't bet on it, brat-o. Go electricity-absorbing wire!" James says and throws the wire to lasso both Pikachu and Eevee and pull them away.
Mew cries out, "Pikachu! Eevee!"
"You may as well conserve your energy, twerp," Jessie says.
"You can't shock us now that we've got your power plant on-line," James says.
Pikachu tries to use a Thunderbolt to break free, but to no avail.
"We knew we'd need cable tuh absorb Pikachu's attacks so we planned things right down to de wire," Meowth says.
Team Rocket laughs triumphantly.
"Now it's time for our getaway," Meowth says, and pushes the button.
Then the Meowth Balloon rises behind Team Rocket.
"We burst that thing before and we'll do it again!" Mew says.
Jessie chuckles, "You may have done it before, but not anymore!"
And it's revealed that there are two rockets on the side of the balloon.
Jessie chuckles, "We've always had the team, but now we've finally got the rockets."
Oh, they're embarrassing!" Domino responds in her thoughts.
And Cullen says, "You can't go. The air currents in this valley are treacherous. If you launch that rocket, there's a good chance we'll never see you again."
Jessie says in admiration, Finally, a man with intelligence, intensity and a ruggedly attractive stubble who cares about me passionately. What could this strange sensation be? It must be love! But our love can never be. I have already given my heart to Team Rocket." He then puts a hand out as if to stop Cullen, "Please, don't try to beg. I must leave you."
"When it comes to romance, she's got a pretty vivid imagination," Meowth says.
"And that's all she's got," James replies.
Jessie angrily says to her comrades, "I'm not finished yet!"
Then calmly says to Cullen, "Now we must go our separate ways, but I hope that when you think of me, as you most certainly will, remember that there is something good in 'good-bye.'
And with a push of the button, the rockets ignite, allowing Team Rocket to fly off.
Pikachu! Eevee!" Mew called out.
Struggling against the forceful lift, Jessie says, "Farewell, my love. This unfeeling rocket now carries me away towards the pale and heartless moon.
"I don't see no moon," Meowth points out.
"It was there a second ago," Jessie says.
Everyone looks up and the clouds covering the moon.
"The weather's changing again. Taking off in a balloon like that is careless and reckless," Luna says.
"You forgot to mention brainless," Domino replies.
"If they get away, I might never see Pikachu and Eevee again," Mew says.
Meanwhile, up above, the Meowth balloon gets blown from left to right by the strong winds as Team Rocket holds on for dear life.
Mew turns to Loona, "I have to follow Team Rocket, no matter what."
"Well, if that's the case…" Luna says and grabs mountain climbing equipment, and puts on an outfit for the occasion, "I know Mt. Quena pretty well and I'll lead you up there. I'm ready when you are.
"We're ready, Luna!" Everyone says.
The Pokemon agree.
"And I'm ready, too," Cullen says.
Soon, everyone starts hiking up the mountain.
Domino says in a ditzy tone, "Oh, this is, so scary!"
"You knew this would be tough. You should've stayed at the lodge," Cullen says.
"Staying there alone would've been even scarier," Domino says.
Soon, the strong winds knock a big boulder off towards Domino, but she gets out of the boulder's way skillfully.
"Domino!" Cullen calls out.
"Here I am!" Domino happily says with a giggle, "I'm pretty lucky. That big rock missed me by an inch! Mmhm!"
Cullen just stares at Domino in disbelief. While Mew has witnessed the event and looks at her suspiciously.
Mew calmly frowns and says in thought, "Something's off with that girl, Domino."
Inside the cave, Mewtwo is watching the store.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket continues to gain altitude.
"With all these updrafts, downdrafts, and sideways drafts, we're not getting anywhere!" James says.
"Do you think we're in danger?" Jessie asks.
"Long as we got them rockets, I'm sure we'll be okay," Meowth says.
Ironically, the rockets stop functioning, much to Team Rocket's shock.
Down below, Luna and everyone else are hanging on to a rope as they climb the mountain.
"It's getting windy!" Luna calls out.
Team Rocket's balloon fly past them and downward as Team Rocket screams in panic.
"There goes Team Rocket!" Tomo says.
Then Mew calls out, "Hey, come back here!"
Right on cue, the balloon gains altitude again and flies away, though out of control, before coming back around.
"Look out, it's headed right this way!" Luna cries out.
And soon enough, Team Rocket's balloon collides with Luna's rope and apparently attaches to it, bringing the whole group with it.
"With all of them hanging on, we're never gonna get away," Meowth says.
And Wobbbuffet appears, "Wobbuffet!" (It's their weight!)
"You're gonna drag us down, you lightweight! Return! "Jessie angrily shouts before returning Wobbuffet to his Pokeball.
Thanks to the wind, the balloon gains more altitude. Soon, the wind stops allowing the balloon to hover over Clarity Lake.
"The wind just stopped," Jessie says.
Back in the cave, light emerges through the cave window.
Mewtwo looks outside, "The storm is over... for now."
Team Rocket soon looks down and sees the lake, along with the island home of Mewtwo and the clones.
"A gigantic lake," Jessie says.
"And look at that island," Meowth says.
Meanwhile, Domino looks through her binoculars and finds Mewtwo's bio-print in the cave.
"I think I see…" Domino says to herself.
And zooms in on Mewtwo, "...just what we're looking for."
Domino clarifies the screen to reveal Mewtwo's appearance, "It's definitely Mewtwo."
And from somewhere else, Giovanni has been sent the screenshot to see Mewtwo.
"You got away from me once. It won't happen again, my friend," Giovanni says.
Back in the cave, Mewtwo soon notices Team Rocket's balloon, along with Mew and the others hanging from the rope.
"Those children again," Mewtwo says
Soon, Meowth-Two, Pikachu-Two, and Eevee-Two rush over.
Mewtwo questions, "Can this be an accident, or is it something... more?"
Meanwhile, Giovanni awaits for the moment. He says in thought, "Now we will find out once and for all whose will is stronger!" and breaks the glass with his bare hand, "Heh."
And it's soon revealed that Giovanni is in a helicopter and flying towards Mt. Quena this every moment.
At the same time, Domino continues to spy through her binoculars, "Well, what's this?" And zooms in to see the three clone Pokemon, "I've spotted Pokémon with bio-prints similar to Mewtwo's."
"That doesn't surprise me. It's natural that Mewtwo should want to be with its own kind... no matter how unnatural they may be. 009, begin operations at once," Giovanni says.
"Copy. Over and out," Domino says, and puts away her walkie-talkie.
Then quickly climbs up the rope, "
"Huh?" Mew says, and Domino steps on her head, "Ow!"
"Ow," Luna yelps when Domino steps on her head.
Soon, Domino finally reaches the basket of the balloon.
"Hey, who are you?" Jessie questions.
Domino says to the walkie-talkie, "009 to Team Rocket Combat Unit leaders. Proceed to coordinates."
"The Team Rocket Combat Unit?" James questions.
"They're here?" Jessie asks.
And Meowth asks, "Where?"
Over the horizon, Team Rocket blimps fly towards the island, along with Giovanni's helicopter.
"There they are," Jessie says.
"Pretty impressive," James replies.
And Meowth asks, "Where's the Meowth head balloons?"
Soon, Luna, Mew and the others start climbing up the rope.
"Now we've got ya!" Mew says, and climbs into the basket.
Jen and Molly climb in the basket as well.
Cullen asks, "Domino, what are you doing?"
"Domino?" James questions.
Jessie questions, "Is that your real name?"
"I don't reveal my true identity," Domino says, "That's a secret I keep to myself. Things are simpler that way. But, within the elite ranks of Team Rocket, I have an identity that's known to all!" and soon reveals her Team Rocket uniform, "Ha ha! My fellow agents know me as 009, Domino, but my adversaries know me as simply, the Black Tulip."
"Black Tulip?" Cullen says, confused, "But you told me that you worked for the Pokémon Institute."
"I do, but Team Rocket has agents working everywhere. You just never know. It may look innocent, but a friendly face may be hiding our fiercest foe," Domino says.
James smiles, "Look at our faces."
"They're friendly," Jessie happily says.
"And foe-y." Meowth says.
But Domino says, "All I see are the faces of losers." then falls backward, but hangs on the sideways with her foot anchored on the railing, "Here's a little souvenir." She then throws the black tulip at the balloon, piercing it and sends everyone flying, "Bye. Nice to see you go."
Domino then laughs and jumps off before activating a hang glider from her backpack. Then flies off.
The balloon continues to fly out of control, causing Misty, Brock, Tomo, Luna and Cullen to lose grip of the basket and fall into the lake. Mew, Jen, Molly, Pikachu, Eevee, and Team Rocket remain in the balloon's basket and it speeds and falls towards the island.
Meanwhile, Domino reaches Giovanni's helicopter and enters. And now, Team Rocket's air forces are making their way to the island for one goal. To capture Mewtwo.
