Pokemon Special: Mewtwo Returns Part 2
After having a run in with Team Rocket, and Domino, who is a Team Rocket member, has popped the Team Rocket balloon, Mew and her group ends up getting separated. Misty, Brock, Tomo, Cullen, and Luna fall off of the basket and splash into the lake while Mew, Jen, Molly, Pikachu, Eevee, and Team Rocket continue to fly and fall towards the island. Soon enough, Team Rocket's balloon crashes towards the cliff and gets tangled, knocking Mew and the others off of the basket and falling towards the ground. Mew and her comrades fall and head straight towards the ground. Just then, Young Mewtwo comes out of his Pokeball and uses his psychic powers to rescue Mew and the others, and place them on the ground.
"Mewtwo," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee are happy that Young Mewtwo has come to their aid.
"Are you all right?" Young Mewtwo asks.
"We're okay," Mew says.
"Yes. Thank you for saving us," Jen says.
Despite being confused and never having met this Pokemon, Molly smiles and says, "Thank you. Hello, my name is Molly."
"Oh right. This is your first time meeting him," Mew says, and introduces them, "Molly, this is Mewtwo. Mewtwo, this is your new friend, Molly."
"Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you, Molly," Young Mewtwo says.
"Hi," Molly happily says.
"Mew, I've sensed his presence nearby," Young Mewtwo says.
"Who's presence?" Mew questions.
Suddenly, they hear Jessie's voice, "Do either of you think it might be a good idea to explore the possibility of utilizing an alternate means of transportation."
The group turns their heads to see Team Rocket is hanging onto the rock climbing rope.
"Not really," Meowth says.
"Well at least this time we finally capture the twerp's Pikachu and Eevee, "James says, and begins to pull the wire, "That's certainly progress."
However, when he pulls the wire, he sees that it snaps.
"Look they must have gotten loose when the balloon crashed," Meowth says.
"Hey Team Rocket!" Mew calls out.
Team Rocket looks down to see Mew, two of her friends, and the three Pokemon. Pikachu and Eevee glare at Team Rocket, and let out some sparks.
"Oh great, it's the three twerpettes," Jessie says, annoyed.
"And some other Pokemon," Meowth says.
"Why are Pikachu and Eevee are sparking at us?" James questions.
"Maybe they want to play?" Meowth questions.
However, Mew says, "Alright you two, you know what to do."
And with that, Pikachu and Eevee give them an electric shock. Suddenly, another Thunderbolt cuts the Thunderbolt off, causing Team Rocket to crash to the ground
"It went easy on us that time," Jessie says.
"I wonder why," James replies.
But Meowth spots something, "Hey." and points his paw over.
Jessie and James look to see that Mew and the others are seeing Pikachu-Two and Eevee-Two on the hill.
"Pikachu and Eevee, and…" James says.
And Jessie adds, "Pikachu and Eevee!"
Pikachu-Two angrily says, "Pika! Pika Pikachu." (So! We meet again!)
Pikachu is shocked, "Pikachu!" (It's you!)
"You're the Pikachu and Eevee from before," Mew says.
"What are they saying, Meowth?" Jessie asks.
Meowth answers, "Dat one up there said, "So, we meet again.""
"They know each other?" James asks.
"It appears so. And it looks like Eevee and Mew knows them too," Meowth says.
Pikachu-Two says, "Pika. Pika Pikachu." (You shouldn't have come here. This place is ours.)
"It ain't happy," Meowth translates, "It's saying, 'You shouldn't have come here. This place is ours.'"
Piakchu-Two continues, "Pika. Pika Pikachu Pika." (We came here to make a new home and live in peace, but you brought humans, and humans are the last thing Pokemon need, especially clone Pokemon.)
"It said, 'We came here to make a new home and live in peace, but you brought humans, and humans are the last thing Pokémon need, especially clone Pokémon.'" Meowth translates.
Then Meowth wonders, "I never saw a clone Pokémon before. Wonder what they are."
"Eevee Eevee Eevee!" (So you both are the Clone Pokemon from before!) Eevee says.
"Vee. Eevee Eevee Eevee" (Yes. We didn't expect to see you again.) Eevee-Two says.
"The twerpette Eevee says that they are the Clone Pokemon from before, while the other Eevee says that they didn't expect to meet again," Mewoth translates.
Pikachu-Two then angrily says, "Pi Pi Pika." (Get out, or you'll regret it!)
"Get out, or you'll regret it!'" Meowth translates.
Pikachu becomes alarmed, "Pika?" (What?)
"Looks like they're about to battle!" James says.
"Pikachu versus Pikachu? This could be the match of the year!" Jessie says.
Pikachu-Two is getting ready to fight while Pikachu grows uneasy about it.
However, Mew gets in front of Pikachu and says, "Wait. Um, Pikachu uh, Two, we shouldn't fight. It's not going to solve anything."
"Eevee Eevee," (I think she's right.) Eevee-Tw replies.
However, Pikachu-Two is not backing down.
Just then, the original Mewtwo floats into the scene, "No. Fighting is senseless."
But Pikachu-Two ignores Pikachu and charges with a cry, "Pikaaa! Chaaaa!" (?) and jumps to attack Mew.
Pikachu and Eevee are ready to attack to protect Mew, but Mewtwo uses his psychic powers to stop Pikachu-Two and puts him down gently on the ground.
Then Mewtwo says, "There is nothing to be gained from such battling. You are the same as the other Pokémon, neither stronger nor weaker." then Mewtwo turns his head to see the other clones, "You proved that the last time we met and battled the Pokémon from which we were copied."
Mew and Pikachu try to see if Pikachu-Te is alright, but Pikachu-Two slaps Mew's hand away from him.
Mewtwo soon turns to Mew and says, "So, we have once again met, young Mew. And I see you have new companions added to your group."
"Um yes. These are my friends, Jen and Molly," Mew says.
"Hello," The young girls reply.
"Hmm, I surely didn't expect you to come, or perhaps, fate has brought us together once more," Mewtwo says.
Just then, Jessie says, "This is awfully confusing."
"This is like the sequel to a movie I missed," James replies.
Mewtwo soon gives Team Rocket a cold-like glance, freaking them out.
Jessie panics, "O-oh, don't mind us! We're just looking for a balloon repair shop!"
Then Mewtwo turns his head towards the coast, "I searched for a place to live in secret and in peace. Now these humans have found us again." and slightly looks up to see Team Rocket's blimp coming towards the island, "Perhaps we shall never find peace."
Of course, the Team Rocket attack unit and Giovanni's helicopter closes in on the island.
Then James asks, "I know you're psychic, but have we met before?"
Pikachu-Two steps forward and says, "Pika, Pikachu!" (Our only choice is to stand our ground! If we don't, our home will be taken away from us! We have to battle!)
Meowth translates, "It's saying their only choice is to stand their ground. If they don't, their home will get taken away from them. They gotta battle."
The rest of the clones agree.
"Pika, Pika Pika Pikachu!" (This has got to be more than a battle! This is war!) Pikachu-Two says.
Mewoth says in a scared tone, "'This has gotta be more than a battle'? 'This is war'? Ahh! What'd I get into?"
The rest of the clone agrees.
But Mew says, "Wait, I don't think raging war is a good idea."
"Pika! Pikachu! (Mew's right! There's no reason for you to fight other Pokemon!) Pikachu agrees.
"Mew and Pikachu are right. There's no reason for you Pokemon to fight us Pokémon," Meowth says.
Meowth turns to see Meowth-Two sitting beside him.
"Nya nya nya?" (Full moon, right?) Meowth-Two says.
Meowth and Meowth-Two watch the clouds move away from the full moon.
"Yeah, it is a full moon. Sure is pretty, huh?" Meowth says.
Mewtwo looks up at the moon, "The moon reflects the light of the sun. Pokemon born into this world may walk freely in that sun. But we were created, reflections. We are shadows. Perhaps we should not live in sunlight, but in the shadows of moonlight."
"The moon looks awful bright tonight," Meowth says.
Then Pikachu-Two says, "Pika ka ka Pi Pika!" (It's not fair that we have to live like shadows!)
"It's saying 'It ain't fair that they have to live like shadows.' Meowth translates.
Pikachu-Two continues, "Pika Pika Pikachu chu Pika Pika Pi Pi Pi." (This place is beautiful, but beyond this place is a big, wide world.)
"'This place is beautiful, but beyond this place is a big, wide woild.'" Meowth translate.
"Pika Pi. (A bright world.) Pikachu-Two says.
'A bright woild.' Meowth says.
"Yeah. A very bright world," Mew says.
Pikachu-Two turns to Pikachu, "Chu Pika, Pikachu? Chu Pi Pika Pika Pi Pikachu Pika! (You know that world, don't you, Pikachu?! You were born in it, and you can live in it! Anyway, and anywhere you want!)
"You know that woild, don't you, Pikachu?! You were born in it, and you can live in it! Anyway and anywhere you want!" Meowth translates.
"Pika." (I know.) Pikachu replies.
"Pikachu Pika Pika, Pi Pi Pika Pikachu!" ('But because of what we are, we can't live in that world like you do!) Pikachu-Two says, sounding upset.
"But because of what we are, we can't live in that woild like you do." Meowth translates.
"Pika, Pikachu, Pikachu!" (Whatever we do, or wherever we go, we don't belong!) Pikachu-Two says, upset.
"Whatever we do, or wherever we go, we don't belong." Meowth says.
Jessie understands, "I know that feeling. Ever since I was a little girl, the world has always treated me as a misfit, as an outcast, as someone who doesn't really belong. So prepare for trouble!"
"And make it double!" James agrees, "We unite all peoples, we extend our reach, we blast off! So, surrender now or prepare to fight!"
Meowth! That's…" Meowth says.
And Meowth-Two questions, "Nya, nya, nya?" (Uh, what now?)
Meowth laughs sheepishly.
Mew kneels to Pikachu-Two and Eevee-Two and says, "I don't think that's true at all."
"Eevee?" (Really?) Eevee-Two questions.
"Yes. I think you all have the right to live in this world as much as real Pokemon. All of you are special in your own way. No matter what we are and how we came into this world, we all have the right to live here as we wish, whether we're human, Pokemon, or even Clone Pokemon. Mew says.
"The twerpette sure knows how to speak kind words," James says.
"She sure does," Jessie says.
Meowth nods his head, "Typical Mew, at it again."
She then smiles and says, "The world is such a big place and we all can continue to search for what we want. Even if you can, it doesn't matter if you're real or not. You're all born to his world, and you belong here as much as we do. We've been given life in this world, and life is wonderful."
Mewtwo is shocked to hear Mew's words, especially the last part. Suddenly, his vision of Mew has been replaced by a small girl wearing a white dress who looks a lot like Mew.
And the little girl says, "You're alive, and life is wonderful."
Mewtwo then says to himself in thought, "Could what she said is true? Could I truly belong in this world?. 'Life is wonderful…'?" It felt like I'd heard those words before, someone told me that, a long time ago.
Mewtwo then looks out as the attack unit blimps approach, led by Giovanni's helicopter.
Prepare, my old friend, for at sunrise we will meet again," Giovanni says to himself.
Meanwhile, Misty, Brock, and the others walk out of the lake.
"Is everybody okay?" Brock asks.
"I'm alright. Togepi and Sparkle are fine, too," Misty says.
"I'm okay, but I'm worried about Mew and the others," Tomo says.
"Team Rocket's balloon was headed for that island," Cullen says.
"Then that's where we're going," Tomo says
"But how are we going to get across?" Misty asks.
Luna then has an idea, "I have an idea! See that giant tree trunk lying over there? We'll build a canoe out of it."
"A canoe?" Tomo questions.
Misty soon agrees, "Sure! And we can use our Pokemon to help."
"Well, let's get started!" Tomo says and calls out, "Sage, I choose you!"
"Come on out, Oddish!" Misty calls out.
Soon, both Pokemon come out.
"Okay, let's see if you can make that log a canoe!" Tomo says.
And with that, Oddish and Sage use Razor Leaf to turn the log into a canoe as clouds cover the full moon. Soon, the canoe is done and sets sail onto the lake.
"We can't let them see us here. The quicker we get there, the better," Misty says.
Back in the cave, Mewtwo watches the attack units on screen.
"If the humans will not leave us in peace, so be it," Mewtwo says, "We will leave this place and search for another. We will continue to search, until we find a place to live, and to belong."
Meanwhile, outside…
"The combat squad will rescue us!" James says.
"I certainly hope not," Jessie says otherwise.
"Why?" James asks.
It's revealed that Bulbasaur-two and Venasaur-Two have Team Rocket tied up. Mew and the others are left alone, but are guarded by Eevee-Two, Cinderace-Two, Vulpix-Two, and Charizard Two.
"Do you really want the boss to see us in another humiliating situation?" Jessie questions.
Meowth shushes them, "Shh. Pipe down, the other Pikachu wants to say something important."
Pikachu-Two calls out to the others, "Pika! Pika Pika! Pikachu, Pika!" (If we don't do something to get out of here, they're going to catch us and use us in Pokemon cloning experiments!)
"It said, 'If we don't do something to get out of here, they're gonna catch us and use us in Pokémon cloning experiments.'" Meowth translates.
Pikachu-Two continues, "Pika, Pika Pika Pika!" (Just because we're clones doesn't mean they can treat us any way they want!)
"'Just because we're clones don't mean they can treat us any way they want!" Meowth translates.
Gyarados-Two roars in agreement.
Pikachu-Two then says, "Pika! Pika, Pika, Pikaa!" (I say we leave this place and go wherever we please!)
"I say we leave this place and go wherever we please!" Meowth adds.
James then smiles, "That's great news. Ask them to bring us, too."
"We'll be glad to go absolutely anywhere!" Jessie says.
However, Team Rocket find themselves locked in a jail cell.
"They didn't tell us we were going to prison," Jessie says.
"Next time we use a travel agent," James says.
And Meowth says, "You humans are all alike. What'd you expect them to do, invite Team Rocket along for the ride?"
As it turns out, Meowth is the only one not locked up.
"You're on Team Rocket. Why aren't you locked up like we are?" Jessie questions.
"Well, I'm valuable 'cause I can talk human talk. That'll come in handy," Meowth answers.
"But then why are we...?" James questions.
"They'll let you go as long as I do my job, and don't try any funny stuff," Meowth says, and looks at his clone, "Haa!"
"Nyaa!" (Haa!) Meowth-Two says.
"So, you scratch its back and it scratches yours," Jessie replies.
Then Pikachu-Two calls out, "Pi Pi. Pikachu!" (Come on! Time to go!)
And the clones begin to depart, "Well, we're moving out."
Pikachu soon goes with the clones, "Pi~ka." (Sorry.)
"Eevee." (Sorry.) Eevee says, following the Eevee Clone
"Hey, that's the twerp's Pikachu," James notices.
"Meowth, you're working with the enemy," Jessie says.
And Meowth says, "Take it easy, you two. Don't you see this is the poifect opportunity? As soon as we get this mess cleaned up, I'll grab Pikachu and Eevee."
James turns to Jessie, "What do you think, Jessie?"
"I think we can trust Meowth," Jessie says.
And then Meowth says, "Then I'll take Pikachu and Eevee straight to the boss. He'll be so happy, I bet I'll finally get a Team Rocket uniform!" as he departs.
Jessie and James call out, "Traitor!"
Then a question hits her and asks, "Hey Meowth, where are the twerpettes?"
"How come they're not locked in here with us?" James questions
Meowth stops and turns to the two in the cell, "I'm not entirely sure. The other Eevee mentions that Mewtwo has taken the three to a special place, where they'll be safe."
"Safe place?" Jessie and James question.
At the lake with a lovely scenery of fruit trees and bushes, large lush grass, Mewtwo teleports Mew, Jen, Molly, and Young Mewtwo to the location. Soon, Mew and the girls are amazed by what they're seeing.
"Wow," Jen says.
"Amazing," Molly says.
"This place is beautiful," Mew says.
Mew then turns to the Young Mewtwo, "What do you think?"
"I think it looks nice," Young Mewtwo replies.
Then Mewtwo says, "I brought you all here so you will be safe. Once the invaders are gone, you and your friends will be on your way."
"I guess, but I'm worried about Misty, Brock, Tomo, and the others. They're somewhere in the canyon," Mew says, concerned.
"I suspect that. However, I also have a suspicion they'll arrive here to find you. Once they arrive, let them know that it's safe for them to remain on the island," Mewtwo says.
Molly asks, "Isn't there anything we can do to help?"
"No. This Is our fight. We mustn't have others involved. I've only allowed Mew's friends to assist us," Mewtwo says.
He then turns to see the Nidoqueen and Rhyhorn, "They will help watch over you for the time being."
And soon, Mewtwo teleports away from the lake, leaving Mew and the others.
"So we just have to stay here?" Molly asks.
I'm afraid we don't have much choice," Young Mewtwo says.
Mew says in concern, "I wish I could go with them. I feel that I should help them."
"I understand how you felt, but my brother made it clear that this is his and the other Clone Pokemon fight," Young Mewtwo says.
"Maybe, but I'm worried about the others as well. I should be out trying to find them, and help the Clone Pokemon with Team Rocket," Mew says.
Soon enough, Pikachu. Soon, many of the Clone Pokemon, including Pikachu, Eeevee, and Meowth depart from the island and are ready to battle. Meanwhile, Mewtwo and the rest of the clones look over them from the island's mountain top.
Mewtwo questions, "Should I let them go? All creatures ought to control their own destinies. Or should I force them to stay? Here I can use my powers to protect them from harm. But do I have the right to keep them from living as they choose? Which is more important: Their safety... or their freedom?"
Meanwhile, Tomo and the others soon reach the island's underground dock. Once they stop, they quickly rush up the stairs to find Mew and the others. They soon reach the top to find a lake as the cloud reveals the moon once more.
"What is this place?" Tomo asks.
Cullen takes a sample and checks on it, "Wow! It's off the chart! Luna! This spring must be the source for Purity River! The water's chemical makeup is astounding!"
"I knew it would be," Luna says.
And Cullen says, "The human body, in fact, all living things, are made up of mostly water. Water is essential for life, and the quality of water helps determine the quality of life!"
"Yes," Luna says, "This place is bursting with life, that's because it's clean here. Untouched. Pure. And the source of that purity is the spring."
And Cullen says, "Maybe this spring isn't just the source of all the water in Purity Canyon. It could be the source of a whole new way to bring health and happiness to the whole world! We may be standing on the edge of the most important discovery in medical history!"
Suddenly, very tiny Nidoqueen and Ryhorn come out of the bushes.
"Aw! Cuties!" Misty happily says.
"Wow, without a Pokemon Breeder around, it's amazing they all look so healthy!" Brock says.
Then Loona says, "In a habitat as clean as this one, they couldn't help but grow up to be strong and healthy. The air, the food and the water are all natural."
"I wonder if their parents are nearby," Misty wonders.
"They're watching over them up there!" Luna says, and points up the cliff to see the parents, "They're all very protective, and very proud. The babies here are living happy, healthy lives."
"They look as happy and healthy as their offspring do," Cullen says.
"I think we should move on, now. They might get nervous. We have to find Mew and the others," Luna says.
"I hope the others are safe," Tomo says.
"Guys!" Mew's voice calls out.
Everyone soon turns to the other side of the lake to see Mew and the others running towards them with Mewtwo.
"Mew!" Tomo happily says.
"Jen!" Brock says.
"And Molly!" Misty happily says.
"You're all okay," Luna says.
Cullen notices young Mewtwo, "Mew, what is that?"
"Oh, this is a friend of mine," Mew says.
Then turns to the others, "But listen, Mewtwo and the others are here."
"Really?" Misty asks.
"Been a long time since we saw them," Brock says.
Mew nods, "Yes. Mewtwo wanted us to remain here where we'll be safe. Pikachu and Eevee are with some of the other Pokemon to help them with what's going on."
"Yeah. Team Rocket are almost at the island," Brock says.
"I know. I want to help, but Mewtwo was serious about it being his and the clones' battle, and wants me to let you know that we all have to remain here," Mew says.
"I see," Luna says.
The group soon shows concerns about it.
Meanwhile, the clones with Piakchu, Eevee, and Meowth reach dry land.
Meowth sighs, "I made it.
"Pika, Pika. Pi Pika." (Okay, now. We're safe.) Pikachu-Two says.
"We're safe?" Meowth questions.
Suddenly, Giovanni's helicopter shows up. A strange machine lowers down underneath and fires a blast of energy, while Pikachu and his clone move, Wigglytuff-two, Hitmonlee-two and Ninetales-two weren't so lucky. Another blast fires, and though Meowth gets out of the way, Meowth-two is soon hit, along with Gyarados-two, Vaporeon-two, Dewgong-two, Pidgeot-two Eevee-Two, and Pikachu-two. From the blimps, Team Rocket Pokeballs drop and capture the clones. But just before one hits Pikachu-two, Pikachu and Eevee come to the rescue and get their clones moving again with an electrical shock while Blastoise-two gets captured.
Meowth notices his clone on the ground and Scratches it, "Come on! Hurry! Pull yourself together!"
Meowth-Two looks at Meowth, a bit shocked.
Meowth gasps, "Sorry, pal. I didn't mean to Scratch you up. I just don't want em to catch ya! Come on! We gotta get outta here! Run for it!"
Soon, the six Pokemon begin to run for their lives as they run for their lives, dodging blasts left and right. But they all soon find themselves cornered. Just as another blast fires at them and they're about to be paralyzed for capture, a Shadow Ball flies in from out of nowhere and stops the blast. Everyone looks up and sees Mewtwo hovering before Giovanni's helicopter and preparing to fire another Shadow Ball, which he does, though Giovanni's helicopter moves out of the way in time. Mewtwo then uses his psychic power to destroy the Team Rocket Pokéballs and free the clones inside them. Then Giovanni, his Persian and Black Tulip appear on the roof of the helicopter via a platform.
"You," Mewtwo says.
Giovanni says, "It's been quite a while. You look well."
"Leave this place at once," Mewtwo demands, "I warn you, my strength is far greater than when we first met."
"Your increased strength comes as no surprise. Fortunately, my technicians have predicted it and they've created new technology to deal with it," Giovanni says.
Soon, two attack robots surround Mewtwo and generate an electrical barrier around him, forcing him to the ground.
"Well, it seems my new equipment is worth the considerable investment," Giovanni says.
Mewtwo then gets up, "You should fear my powers most of all. You cannot conquer me."
"Your psychic attacks bend the wills of living creatures, but they cannot influence machines," Giovanni says.
Soon, the robots surround Mewtwo.
"We will see about that," Mewtwo says.
Giovanni commands, "Activate the forcefields!"
Black Tulip does so, but Mewtwo creates a barrier of rocks to protect himself, giving him enough time to force the robots to crash and burn.
"Well done, Mewtwo," Giovanni comments, "You have demonstrated technology has its limits. An important lesson to keep in mind. But living creatures have their limits, too."
"Do not test the limits of MY power," Mewtwo says.
"It appears that would be futile. So," Giovanni says and points to the island, "We'll take our battle to that island!"
Above the island, Team Rocket grunts fly with hang-gliders.
"I'll fly over there…" The Black Tulip says, and takes off towards the island on her jetpack, "For phase two."
"So, I understand that some Pokemon friends of yours are over on that island. Now we'll see how powerful your loyalties are," Giovanni says.
Mewtwo glares at the man, "You are despicable."
Meanwhile, back at the lake, Mew and the others are trying to figure out what to do, but then, strange rings fly over and strap them.
"What's going on?!" Misty exclaims.
"We're trapped!" Mew cries out.
Soon, everyone turns to see Black Tulip and a few Team Rocket grunts.
"Unfortunately, your being here is very inconvenient for us. We can't let anyone interfere and prevent us from reaching our objectives. We can't let you leave until our operation is over," Black Tulip says.
"You better!" Mew angrily says.
Young Mewtwo then demands, "Release them!"
Black Tulip notices the younger Mewtwo and smirks, "Well well, look what we have here. Another Mewtwo." and smirks.
Meanwhile, back in Team Rocket's cell.
"James?" Jessie questions.
"What?" James asks.
"If Meowth doesn't come back, what do we do about...?" Jessie questions.
And James questions, "If Meowth doesn't come back, what do we do about what?"
"What do we do about, the motto?" Jessie asks.
"I never thought about that," James says.
"Maybe we should start practicing," Jessie says.
Soon, Jessie and James say, "One. Two." and shouts, "Looks like Team Rocket's never blasting off again!"
