Episode 77: Ribbons of Memories Part 3
The morning after Miles' birthday leaves Mew and her friends in shock. Despite being shocked herself, Mew feels so much joy, because all along, their new friend, Miles, along with his parents, his mother, Carol, and his father, Elias, the mayor of Bandeau City is really the family of her birth mother, which means, Mew really has a human family.
Mew still finds herself in Elias' arms as the two give each other a strong embrace. Mew's friends, and even her Pokemon are very happy to see that Mew has found her family. Carol and Miles are also happy and glad to know that Mew is part of their family.
Elias then lets go of the embrace to see Mew, "Oh look how much you've grown since I've last seen you. I can tell you have Ichigo's eyes, and you're as beautiful as your mother."
"Um thanks, but wow… this is well, I'm practically at a loss of words. So if you're my mother's brother, that would mean that you're my…" Mew says, still shocked and amazed.
Elias chuckles, "That's right, I'm your uncle."
Then turns to Carol, "And it also means that Carol is your aunt, and little Miles is your cousin."
"Really? We're related?" Miles asks, amazed.
"Yes, it does," Elias says.
"That's really cool," Miles happily says.
After the happy reunion, everyone is sitting in the living room once more so they can have a long discussion.
"So, I suspect that you have a lot of questions," Elias says.
"Yes," Mew answers with a nod.
"Eevee," (We sure do.) Eevee says.
"Pika Pika," (A lot actually.) Pikachu says.
"I think it's safe to say that we all have a lot of questions," Mew says. "But I don't even know where to start."
"I understand. This is all very new to you," Carol says.
"That sounds about right. After all, up until now, Mew isn't sure if she had any other family members, or even knew anything about her parents," Brock says.
"Yeah," Tomo replies.
Mew thinks for a bit, "Hmmm…" And says, "Well, I guess for starters, I really want to know what my parents are like. I really like to get to know them. And I also like to get to know you a little more as well."
"Getting to know us and your parents will help," Carol says. "I was born and raised here in Bandeau City, and I've dreamed of being a Pokemon Coordinator."
"Miles told us that you were a Pokemon Coordinator and wanted to be just like you," Misty says.
Carol giggles, "Yes. Miles is keen on following in my footsteps."
"So who was your Pokemon partner?" Brock asks.
"I got Totodile for my first Pokemon, and now it's a Feraligatr. And after training and hard work with my Pokemon, I was able to become Top Coordinator in the Johto Region," Carol says.
"That's amazing," Molly says.
"Yes. Of course, it took me a few years to do so because there are some trainers who were more skilled and stronger when I was young," Carol says.
"What about you, Elias?" Tomo asks.
"And what about my mom?" Mew asks.
"Well, to tell you the truth, your mother and I were actually born and raised in the Sinnoh Region. While your mother became a Pokemon Coordinator, I've traveled and competed in Gym Battles. On our tenth birthday, our parents gave us Pokemon Eggs. Hers hatch into a Fennekin, which became the Delphox in the photo," Elias says.
"Amazing. I've never seen a real Delphox before," Jen says.
"Let's see what Dexter says about Fennekin and Delphox," Mew says, and takes out her Pokedex.
The Fennekin in the Pokedex is a small, quadrupedal fox-like Pokémon. It is covered in pale yellow fur that is longer on its haunches. It has a white muzzle with longer fur on its cheeks, large, dark orange eyes, and a pointed, black nose. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen in its upper jaw. Tufts of dark orange fur cover the interior of its large ears. Fennekin also has small paws with no visible toes and slim legs. Its tail is fluffy with a dark orange tip.
Dexter says, "Fennekin, the Fox Pokemon. A Fire Type. Eating a twig fills it with energy, and its roomy ears give vent to air hotter than 390 degrees Fahrenheit."
Then Dexter says, "Delphox, the Fox Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Fennekin. A Fire and Psychic Type. Using psychic power, it generates a fiery vortex of 5,400 degree Fahrenheit, incinerating foes swept into this whirl of flame."
"It looks beautiful," Misty says.
"It sure is," Brock says.
"So what Pokemon did mom get from Sinnoh for her first Pokemon?" Mew asks.
"She got a Piplup, and it fully evolved into an Empoleon," Elias says.
"Empoleon," Mew says, and checks her Pokedex.
On the Pokedex, Empoleon is a large, navy-blue, penguin-like Pokémon. It has a wide, yellow beak that extends upward into three pointed horns that form a trident-shaped crest bracketing blue eyes. Large horns are a symbol of leadership and strength for Empoleon. There is a blue marking resembling a crown over its eyes and a white, lacy marking running down its chest. A blue, fin-like projection forms a collar around its throat and runs down the length of its chest and belly. On its back are two raised, gold bumps and a second bluefin that forms its tail. Its yellow feet are webbed with three toes each and its feathers form ruffs above its feet. It has wide, flipper-like wings rimmed with blue along the tips, and three golden claws.
Dexter says, "Empoleon, the Emperor Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Piplup. A Water and Steel Type. The three horns that extend from its beak attest to its power. The leader has the biggest horns."
"It looks cool," Jen says.
"Wow Misty, your little Piplup will someday evolve into that," Mew says.
"Amazing," Misty says.
"What about you um, Uncle Elias," Mew says, sounding a bit sheepish.
"Well, from my Pokemon Egg, it hatched into a Chespin. As for my first Pokemon in Sinnoh, I chose Turtwig," Elias says.
Mew checks her Pokedex, to see the Pokemon. Chespin is a bipedal, mammalian Pokémon. It is primarily light brown with darker arms and three triangular markings around its face. It has oval, brown eyes; a triangular, red nose; and rodent-like incisors. Its arms have three fingers, while its feet have two long claws. Covering its back is a tough, green shell, which extends from its head to halfway down its tail. The tip of its tapered tail is orange. There is a small, off-center hole in the shell on the back of Chespin's head and, around the face, the shell has four leaf-like spikes. On the back of its head is another spike split into three parts.
And Dexter says, "Chespin, the Spiny Nut Pokemon. A Grass Type. The quills on its head are usually soft. When it flexes them, the points become so hard and sharp that they can pierce rock."
"Looks cool," Tomo says.
"Now let's see Turtwig," Mew says, and checks the data on the Pokedex.
It shows a picture of Turtwig, a small, light green, quadrupedal Pokémon resembling a turtle or tortoise. Its eyes, feet, and lower jaw are yellow. Its body is covered by a brown shell that is composed of earth. The shell has a thick black stripe and a black rim. On a very healthy Turtwig, the shell should feel moist. A small seedling grows on a brown patch on its head.
Dexter says, "Turtwig, the Tiny Lead Pokemon. A Grass Type. This Pokémon becomes more energetic the more sunlight there is. The part resembling a shell is similar to silt and is slightly damp and warm to the touch."
"They're both Grass Types," Brock says.
"Yes. Even though I catch and raise many different Pokemon, I have a strong passion for Grass Types," Elias says.
"Sounds like Misty and her passion for Water Types," Jen says.
"Yeah. I guess you're right," Misty says.
"Even though you can get carried away," Mew says.
And the others begin laughing as Misty blushes a bit.
"Okay okay, enough about me," Misty says, embarrassed.
"Okay then," Mew says.
She then asks, "So you were saying that my mother was a Coordinator."
"That's correct. She traveled throughout Sinnoh, and even competed in the Grand Festival during her first year as a trainer," Elias says.
"Sounds cool. How did she do?" Mew replies.
"She won the entire Grand Festival in Sinnoh," Elias says.
"She won?!" Mew asks, surprised and amazed.
"Yes. She was quite the coordinator in her day. She also traveled through Hoenn, Kanto, Johto, and even Unova, and in every single one," Elias says.
"Sounds a lot like Mew when she competed in the Indigo Plateau and battled against the Orange Crew," Misty says.
Then turns to Mew, "Guess being a great trainer doesn't fall that far from the tree."
"She sure was. In fact, during my travels in Hoenn we competed in a Pokemon Contest in Lilycove City," Carol says.
"Really?" Molly asks.
"Who won?" Mew asks.
Carol giggles and says, "To be honest, Eliza and her Fennenik won."
"Really? Mew's mom beat you?" Jen asks.
"She did, but it was one of the best contest battles we had. We even met again at the Grand Festival in Hoenn, and she ended up beating me in the Finals as well," Carol says. "That is also when I met Elias and his parents."
"Sounds cool," Brock says.
"Yes. Your mother worked and trained hard to be a Coordinator, but she is also a very kind trainer, and very friendly too," Elias says.
"Sounds amazing," Mew says.
"When she grew up, she started giving classes to those who wish to become Coordinators so they can learn how to raise their Pokemon and sometimes her technique," Elias says.
"Sounds like my mom was a great trainer," Mew says.
She then asks, "What about my dad? What was he like, and how did he and mom first meet?"
"Your mother actually first met your father while in the Unova Region, that is where your father was born and raised at," Elias says.
"In Unova?" Mew asks.
"Yes. your father's hometown is at a place called the Village of Dragons," Elias says.
"The Village of Dragons?" Tomo asks.
"It's a village where the residents have strong admiration and raise Dragon Type Pokemon," Carol says.
"Like the Pokemon in the photo?" Mew asks.
"Yes. The Pokemon is a Druddigon, and was your father's partner. According to Ichigo, he was given Druddigon when it was very small by his village's elder when he decided to go on a Journey to be a Dragon Type Master when he was ten years old," Elias explains.
"Sounds cool," Tomo says.
"So that's what the Pokemon with dad is," Mew says and brings out her Pokedex.
Dexter says, "Druddigon, the Cave Pokemon. A Dragon Type. It warms its body by absorbing sunlight with its wings. When its body temperature falls, it can no longer move."
"His Druddigon looks really strong," Tomo says.
"It sure was. Your father has traveled all over the world, battle gyms, battling and raising different Dragon Types, and even teaches his other Pokemon Dragon Type moves. He and his Pokemon win different Gym Battles and compete in Leagues all over the world. He won the League in Unova and other places. Not only that, but your father is also very smart, and was also studying to be a Pokemon researcher to help with Human and Pokemon relationship. When your parents first met while Ichigo started on his journey and Eliza started traveling in Unova, they ended up traveling together through the other regions," Elias says.
"Really? Her parents traveled together," Brock asks.
"They sure did. And years have gone by and the two have fallen in love and got married. Carol and I also got married a few years after they did. And soon enough, Eliza and Ichigo had a baby girl," Elias says.
"And that's me, right?" Mew asks.
"Yes. In fact, you were also born in the Village of Dragons," Elias says.
"I was?" Mew asks, surprised.
"Yes. When you were born, Eliza and Ichigo were the happiest parents in the world. And they've noticed your birthmark, of a Gracidea Flower. They see how cute and lovely you are, and with the flower as a birthmark, they've decided to call you Hanako, meaning Flower Child. And a few months after you were born, you've already wanted to make friends with Unova's Water Type, Fire Type, and even Dragon Types," Elias says.
"Sounds like Mew got along with Pokemon even back then," Brock says.
"Indeed. And Ichigo hopes that one day you'll become friends with Pokemon just like he did. Of course, there is one thing you and your father mostly have in common," Elias says.
"What's that?" Misty asks.
"You see, your father can talk and understand Pokemon as well," Elias says.
Mew is shocked to hear it, "He does?!"
"No way!" Misty says, shocked.
"Mew's dad can talk and understand Pokemon too?" Brock asks, astonished.
"Yes. It was a big surprise as well," Carol says, "But during their travels, Eliza learned a lot from Ichigo, and she taught him. I knew right then and there that the two were made for each other, and you ended up being the result of that."
"Sounds like Mew's parents were amazing," Tomo says.
Elias sighs happily, "They sure were. We all had wonderful memories together."
"So then, how come I was in Pallet Town Forest all these years? And… What happened to my parents?" Mew asks.
This causes Miles' parents to sadden, causing concern to Mew and the others.
"Um, Uncle Elias… Aunt Carol… what's wrong?" Mew asks, worried.
Elias sadly sighs and answers, "The truth is, we don't know…"
"You and your parents disappeared over ten years ago, and none of you were found," Carol says.
Mew and her friends are shocked to hear it.
"Disappeared?" Mew asks, shocked.
Then Misty asks, "What do you mean? Mew and her parents disappeared?"
"Yes, it's true," Elias says.
"You see, sometime after you were born, they visited us here in Bandeau City to introduce us to you. They stayed a month before they left. They explained to us that they're taking you around the world, and introducing you to many different Pokemon and showing you the world," Carol explains.
Then Carol sadly says, "But when you all were in the Kanto Region, you all disappeared."
"In the Kanto Region?" Mew questions.
"Yes. The police have searched and searched for you, even Carol and I tried, including some of our relatives, but we were never able to find you, Eliza, and Ichigo," Elias explains.
"I have no idea. The only thing I know of is that my papa, Zeraora, found me when I was floating down the river when I was a baby. He and the other Pokemon have searched for any signs of my birth parents, but couldn't find anything. They searched for weeks and came up with nothing. And soon enough, my papa decide to take him in and raised me as my own," Mew explains, "A few years later, after meeting Mew, my papa decided to give me the name 'Mew' because I been saying it a few times and I've got in touch with him. And my papa along with so many of my Pokemon friends have been raising me for a long time, and years later, I've met Eevee, and we've both been together since. We're practically sisters at this point."
"I can tell, you've raised Eevee, quite well, and she is very cute," Carol says.
"Eevee," (Thank you.) Eevee happily replies.
"And then when I was eight, I met Professor Oak and Gary. It did come to a shock to them when they heard that I was raised by Pokemon and was living in the forest for my life. After discussing it to them, along with Gary's mom, Adriana, and his older sister, Daisy, I've decided to stay with Professor Oak at his lab. When I turned ten, I decided to go on a journey. Usually Professor Oak gives new trainers a Charmander, a Fire Type. A Squirtle, a Water Type. And Bulbasaur, a Grass Type and Poison Type. But I got Pikachu."
"That's cool, and it looks like you three get along very well," Miles says.
"We sure do," Mew says.
Brock then turns to Elias and asks, "But still, it's kind of strange how Mew's parents disappeared while they're in Kanto."
"And how Mew ended up being separated from them and was found in the river where Zeraora found her," Misty adds.
"I have to admit, it was really strange," Mew says.
"It was very strange," Elias says.
Tomo then asks, "Did Mew's parents ever mention anything while they're in Kanto."
"In Eliza's last letter, she, along with Ichigo, and you were in Viridian City, going to Pallet Town to meet with Professor Oak. You see, after they're traveling, they plan to move to Pallet Town so your father could study with Professor Oak and be his assistant," Elias explains.
This shocked Mew and her friends.
"He was?" Mew asks.
"Yes. However, we haven't heard from them since, and we searched for them and we couldn't find them at all," Elias says.
Then tears begin to fall from his face, "And so, we had to fear something happened on your way to Pallet Town, and you all have been missing for years that you were presumed dead."
"How awful," Misty says.
"I'm so sorry to hear that," Brock says.
Molly also sadly says, "I know how you feel. My mama is missing too."
Mew hugs Molly, and understands that both her parents have been missing at some point. While her father is able to return, her mother is still missing.
Elias turns to Mew with relief and a smile, "But the moment I saw you, I had a strong feeling that you're Hanako. That is when I've decided to have a D.N.A test with your hair sample along with the sample from my sister and Ichigo. And it's proven to be a match. And I'm glad to know that you're safe and sound and know that you've been in good hands."
"I'm glad you think so. Zeraora has been raising me with his Pokemon friends from the forest. And Professor Oak, Adriana, and Daisy have taught me a lot more. Of course, Professor Oak, Adriana, and Daisy teach me about a lot of human things, and I'm grateful," Mew says.
Then turns to her friends, "And throughout my journey, I've made some wonderful friends, and I also end up with a little brother and sister figure."
"Really now?" Carol asks.
"Yeah," Tomo replies, Then explains, "My parents died when I was a baby, but I was raised by my Mama Kangaskhan, and after meeting Mew and the others, Mama and I decided to go with them on their journey so we can see the outside world."
"I've met Mew when I was younger and she is like a big sister to me along with Eevee," Molly says.
"Eevee," (That's right.) Eevee replies.
Elias laughs with a smile, "And I have to suspect that you also have a lot of Pokemon friends."
"I sure do," Mew says.
Then says, "If you want, I can introduce you to papa, and also introduce you to Professor Oak, Daisy, and Adriana."
"I think it will be nice to meet them," Carol says.
"I think it will be wonderful. I want to express my gratitude to the ones who have taken such good care of you," Elias says.
"Let's call them right now," Mew says.
Moments later, Mew calls Professor Oak from the video phone in Elias and Miles' home. Luckily, he's able to answer right away.
"Hi Mew, how are you and your friends doing on their journey?" Professor Oak asks with a smile.
"We're all doing fine. I've got my Fog Badge from the Ecruteak Gym, and now we're heading to Olivine City," Mew says.
"That's great," Professor Oak happily replies. He then asks, "So where are you all now?"
"We're in Bandeau City. We've been staying with a new friend," Mew says.
Then says, "And well, is papa with you?"
"Luckily, he's with me right now," Professor Oak says.
And with that, Zeraora comes into view of the video screen.
"Hi papa, it's good to see you," Mew says
Zeraora growls with a smile and waves to Mew.
"I'm doing fine," Mew says, "Anyway, I have someone I want you to meet."
"Really? And who would that be?" Professor Oak asks.
Soon, Elias and Carol enter the scene.
"That will be us," Elias says.
Soon, Miles comes into view, "Hi."
"Oh hello. Who might you be?" Professor Oak asks.
"I'm Elias, the Mayor of Bandeau City. This is my wife, Carol, and my son, Miles. It's nice to meet you," Elias says.
"It's nice to meet you too. I'm Professor Samual Oak," The professor introduces himself.
Then asks, "So Mew, you were going to tell me about your new friend."
"Well, um, the thing is…" Mew says.
And with that, Mew explains to Professor Oak and her papa about who Elias and his family really are and what she has learned. About Elias and his family being relatives, and Elias is her birth mother's brother. They also discuss her parents, her past, and what has happened to Mew and her parents, when she's a baby. And it's actually a real shock for Professor Oak and Zeraora.
"I must admit, this was a real surprise," Professor Oak says.
"I think so too. But still, there's still a lot I'm not sure of," Mew says.
"I have to agree. I actually remember receiving a letter from this Ichigo years ago. However, he never showed up. I tried to go to the hotel where he was staying, but the manager said that he and his family had already left. I would have never guessed that you were Ichigo's daughter," Professor Oak says.
"Talk about a strange connection," Misty says.
"Maybe, but it might not be. I wonder that despite everything that has happened, Professor Oak and Gary were able to find Mew when they did. Sometimes, the world works in mysterious ways," Brock says.
"Maybe," Misty says.
"Wel, what really matters is that you and your family, and especially Zeraora have our eternal gratitude for taking care of our Hanako, well in your case, Mew all these years, and have raised her to become a very fine young lady, and a great trainer I might add," Elais says.
"You're welcome, and it's nice to know that Mew has relatives somewhere. And maybe if it's alright with Mew, you can visit Pallet Town anytime you like," Professor Oak says.
"I think it will be great. You get to meet my papa, Professor Oak and the others, and you'll get to meet my friends," Mew says.
"Pika Pika," (I think it's a good idea.) Pikachu says.
"Eevee Eevee," (I think it will be nice to show them around Pallet Town.) Eevee says.
"Well then, I better get going. I still have plenty of work to do. I hope you hear more about your journey very soon," Professor says.
"We will," Tomo says.
"And Miles, happy birthday and I wish you luck on your journey," Professor Oak says.
"Thank you," Miles says.
Zeraora growls happily.
Mew smiles and says, "Don't worry, papa. My friends and I will help each other. I love you."
Zeraora replies with a growl, saying that he loves her too.
Soon after the call, Elias presents Mew a Pokemon Egg in an Incubator. It's yellow with orange on the top and white on the bottom.
"I know it's rather late, but I still want to give you this Pokemon Egg," Elias says.
"Really? Are you sure?" Mew asks.
"Yes. As I said, it's a tradition in our family to give their child a Pokemon Egg. And consider this a special present," Elias says.
Mew takes the Egg and says, "Oh, thank you."
Suddenly, Mew notices the Pokemon Egg beginning to glow.
"It's glowing already," Mew says.
Just then, a glow begins to appear in Mew's backpack.
"Mew, your other Egg," Tomo says.
Mew kneels down and takes out her other Pokemon Egg and opens the case.
Jen notices a glow from Brock's backpack, "Brock, your Pokemon Egg is glowing too."
Brock quickly gets the Pokemon Egg out of his backpack as well.
Just then, Miles rushes back from his room with his egg glowing, "Mom. Dad. My Pokemon Egg is glowing too."
That catches everyone by surprise. Soon, all four Eggs hatch and burst at the same time, and the Pokemons are born.
The first Pokemon Mew has is a white, mushroom-like Pokémon with a cap that looks quite similar to a Poké Ball. It has stubby, digit-less arms, a tiny mouth with large pink lips, and pinprick-like dark eyes.
Mew's second Pokemon is a Fennekin.
Brock's egg hatched into an insectoid Pokémon with a pronounced hump on the upper portion of its body. Its thorax and head are mainly magenta with black markings that consist of rings on its shoulders, a band around each antenna, and an upside-down 'Y' on its neck. A prominent ridge leading down to a pointed tip splits the top half of its head, and its lower jaw is black. It has round, heavy-lidded eyes that bulge away from the head slightly. Its dark green abdomen is segmented, and it has four pairs of stubby black legs. Two short feelers banded with black extend from its hindquarters.
And Miles' Pokemon is a small, chick Pokémon with stubby, downy, yellow wings. Its body is covered with orange feathers. There is an orange and yellow crest on its head that resembles a flame. Its two thin legs and short beak are a light brownish yellow, and the feet have three toes in front and one in the back. It also has a small black speck on its rear.
"Aww, I got a Foongus and a Fennekin," Mew says.
"Wow. You got a Fennekin of your own, just like your mom," Misty says.
"Let's see what Dexter says about Foongus," Mew says and brings out her Pokedex.
Dexter says, "Foongus, the Mushroom Pokemon. A Grass and Poison Type. It lures people in with its Poké Ball pattern, then releases poison spores. Why it resembles a Poké Ball is unknown."
"He sure is cute," Mew says, and picks up her Pokemon, "Hello Fennekin. Foongus. It's nice to meet you both."
Fennekin and Foongus happily snuggle Mew.
Brock then picks up his Pokemon, "Hello my name is Brock, it's nice to meet you."
The Pokemon in Brock's arms shows a happy expression.
"That's a Venipede," Mew says.
Dexter says, "Venipede, the Centipede Pokémon. A Bug and Poison Type. Its fangs are highly venomous. If this Pokémon finds prey it thinks it can eat, it leaps for them without any thought of how things might turn out."
Miles then picks up his Pokemon and says, "And I know this one. This is a Torchic."
"It's really cute," Molly says.
Mew presents the Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Torchic, the Chick Pokemon. A Fire Type. Torchic has a place inside its body where it keeps its flame. Give it a hug—it will be glowing with warmth. This Pokémon is covered all over by a fluffy coat of down."
Miles happily says to Torchic, "Hi Torchic, it's nice to meet you."
"Torchic Tor," (It's nice to meet you too.) Torchic replies.
"Torchic says that she's happy to meet you too," Mew says.
"Looks like this has turned into quite an interesting day," Elias says.
And with that, everyone begins laughing with smiles on their faces.
Later on, Mew and her friends are ready to continue on their journey to Olivine City.
"It's really great to meet you, Uncle Elias. You too, Aunt Carol, and cousin Miles," Mew says.
"It's really great to meet you too, Mew. And to meet such good friends you have," Elias says.
"And Miles, we hope that you'll do great on your Pokemon Journey," Tomo says.
"Thanks guys. And thanks to your help, I've finally decided which Pokemon I want to choose," Miles says.
"Sounds great," Jen says. "What do you have in mind?"
"I've decided to go with a Cyndaquil. I always thought of them as cool, and I actually have a strong passion for Fire Types," Miles says, and turns to her new Pokemon, "Right Torchic."
"Torchic," (You bet.) Torchic says.
"And Mew, you and your friends are welcome in Bandeau City and our home. And who knows, maybe we'll see you at the Silver Conference," Elias says.
"Maybe I'll be there. And Miles, good luck on your journey," Mew says.
"Thanks guys. And good luck on your journey and the Johto League," Miles says.
And with that, Mew and her friends depart from Bandeau City as they say their goodbyes to Mew's human family. And what's more, wish Miles good luck on his upcoming Pokemon Journey. Now that Mew has met her family, and knows about her family and her past, she has a new determination to know the truth about the whereabouts of her birth parents, and what really happened to them that caused her to be separated. Still, Mew and her friends continue on their way to another part of their journey and across the Johto Region.
