Episode 107: Fly Me to the Moon

After reaching Blue Point Isle in the Whirl Islands, Mew and her friends are now traveling to Bluefinland, a city in the Blue Point Isle. The gang is now walking along the coast of the island.

When Misty spots something on the water, "Hey, over there! Look!"

Everyone looks to see where Misty is looking at. They all see a group of Pokemon swimming in the water.

Misty counts, "One, two, three, four Corsola!"

"Where're they going?" Mew asks.

"By the looks of it, I'd say we're going to Pudgy Pidgey Isle," Brock says, looking at the guidebook.

With sparkling eyes and blushing cheeks, Misty says, "Oh, Corsola. Oh, Corsola. Wherefore art thou swimming off to, my lovely little Corsola?" and becomes determined, "I just gotta catch a Corsola!" and searches around, "Now all I need is a boat. Wherefores a boat?"

Suddenly, someone says, "Boat won't get you there, miss."

Everyone looks back and sees a man wearing a bluish-gray shirt, a hat and goggles and has a backpack on his back. He also has blue hair.

"It's whirlpool season," The man says.

"Pika?" (Whirlpool?) Pikachu says.

Eevee adds, "Eevee." (Season.)

Everyone looks and spots some whirlpools.

"Bout the only thing that can make it to Pudgy Pidgey Isle without getting caught in a whirlpool is with those Corsola," The man says.

Disappointed, Misty says, "I wish I had one. If only I had wings. I could fly to that island. My kingdom for some wings!"

The man places his backpack down and says, "Well, I can't give you wings, but I can get you to the island.

"Oh, really? Do you mean it?" Misty asks.

"Pudgy Pidgey Isle is home to some very unique Pokémon, and I'm their caretaker, so I was on my way over there," The man says.

"Unique Pokémon?" Tomo says, confused.

"Well, kinda unique, anyway," The guy says.

"Do you mean these?" Brock questions, looking at the guidebook.

Everyone looks in the guidebook and sees a picture of a Pidgey, but it's larger and pudgy.

"That just looks like a regular old Pidgey," Jen says.

"Only bigger," Molly adds.

"Yes. Yes, it does, but when you see them, you'll agree that there is something different," The man says.

Soon, the man shows them to a rope bridge to avoid the swirling whirlpools below.

"We're going to cross this?!" Brock asks, shocked.

"Well, if you rather take a chance with those whirlpools…" The man says.

"I rather go on the bridge than take my chances with the whirlpool," Mew says.

Misty agrees, "Fine. Let's go!"

Misty starts walking across as the bridge creaks.

"Keep walking. It's for a Corsola," Misty says.

Just then, a strong gust of wind soon blows by, causing the bridge to wrap around and round before going back again and sending everyone flying to the other side. And feel pain from the landing.

The man gets up and says, "Well. Here we are. Welcome to Pudgy Pidgey Isle!"

He then calls out, "Come on out now! I brought lots of food!"

Soon, a whole bunch of Pidgey come out, but not normal looking ones, and the gang is shocked and surprised.

"Oh my goodness," Mew says, shocked.

"Those Pidgey…" Misty says.

"They're…" Tomo says.

"Really…" Jen adds.

"Really…" Molly adds

"HUGE!" Brock adds in shock. "These are Pidgey?"

"Yeah," The man says, "The whirlpools help keep Pudgy Pidgey Isle safe from any predatory creatures. And since the Pidgey don't have to fly away, they don't exactly bother with dieting, if you know what I mean?"

Meanwhile, Team Rocket scopes the island out from above on their balloon.

"What are those?" Jessie asks.

They're Pidgey," Meowth says.

Seeing how they look, James asks, "Aren't they rather pudgy?"

"Of course. Dat's why dey call dis place Pudgy Pidgey Isle," Meowth says.

Soon, the man, who's name is Wilbur takes Mew and her friend to his cabin.

"This is my humble abode," Wilber says, "It's the only house on the island, and I'm the only human to live here."

Suddenly, two tiny Pidgey darts by, startling the gang.

"What's that?" Tomo asks.

The two tiny Pidgey land on the roof of the cabin. One of them is wearing an aviator's hat, and the other is wearing a pair of flight goggles.

Wilbur introduces, "The one wearing the hat is Orville, and the one with the goggles is his sister, Zephyr."

"Orville?" Mew questions.

"Zephyr?" Tomo questions.

Wilbur introduces, "That's their name. Orville is my Pidgey, while Zephyr lives freely on her own. Orville! Zephyr! What's up, you guys?!"

They both chirp in response.

"Hey, those two Pidgey two different from the other ones. They're much smaller and they can fly," Jen says.

"Yeah," Wilbur says, "Orville and Zephyr were born here on Pudgy Pidgey Isle."

Soon, the two Pidgey take off.

"But for some reason, they have this desire to fly really high. Orville and Zephyr are both Pidgey with a dream," Wilbur says..

The group soon enters the cabin.

Wilbur soon explains, "A long time ago, Pidgey were used for delivering messages. But with the invention of the telegraph, and then later the telephone, it turned out that Pidgey were just being used less and less." And points to the video phone, "And now, we even have special gizmos like this for communicating with each other."

Shortly after, Mew and the others get in contact with Professor Oak.

Professor Oak says, "Hello. I see you made it to Pudgy Pidgey Isle. Now just remember, even if these certain Pidgey are no longer able to fly, that doesn't mean they should be forgotten."

"Hey, yeah! That's right. Which is why the Pokémon Protection Agency declared this island right here a Pidgey reserve. And that was something like fifty years ago," Wilbur says.

Professor Oak explains, "There's an ongoing debate in the academic community as to whether these Pidgey represent evolution, devolution, or some mutated strain. But most scientists are now of the opinion that they're just very fat. I've got to go, but if you find any other unique qualities about these Pokemon, let me know. I'll be seeing you."

And soon the call ends.

Soon, they hear a whoosh.

Wilbur says, "Hey, sounds like Orville and Zephyr returned.

The two siblings fly into the room and land near the painting, staring up at it.

"Orville. Zephyr," Wilbur replies, a little surprised, "Are you saying that that Pidgey is you?"

They both respond.

"Really?" Tomo asks and walks to Zephyr.

Zephyr lands on Tomo's head and flaps her wings as she chirps.

"Really? You and your brother want to be like that Pidgey in the picture, and fly higher than any Pidgey has ever dared?" Tomo asks.

Zephyr nods in reply.

Tomo smiles, "That's cool."

"I agree. And Orville thinks the same way," Wilbur says.

Orville chairs.

Mew giggles, "Orville agrees.

Then Mew says, "By the way, that's a very nice picture you have, Wilbur."

"Thanks. My grandfather painted this picture," Wilbur says, "It's from a story about a real small Pidgey who flew to the sun, and to the stars and to the moon. He used to read that story to me all the time when I was a little kid."

Team Rocket listens from outside the window

Jessie says, "To the sun."

The stars," James says.

With teary eyes, Meowth says, "All da way to da... moon."

"Sometimes I like to show this picture to all of the little newborn Pidgey here, but most of them are more interested in what they're gonna get for dinner," Wilbur says.

Flashback:

Wilbur is feeding the Pidgey while looking at the picture. Just then, two young Pidgey, being Orville and Zephyr hop towards the picture, taking a deep interest. They both start jumping and flapping their wings.

Wilbur asks, "Orville, Zephyr, do you both want to fly? Is that what you're saying?"

Both of the Pidgey siblings try to fly.

Wilbur then picks them up and says, "Wow, that's so great! You can definitely fly, I know you can! Flying is what you're meant to do."

Sometime later, Wilbur, Orville, and Zephyr are trying to get up to speed for both little Pidgey to take off.

"Look out! We're coming through! You can do it, Orville! You too, Zephyr!"

Both Orville and Zephyr continue taking off and get a bit of altitude.

"Yeah!" Wilbur cheers.

However, Orville's feet hit a tree stump and he crash lands. Zephyr soon loses altitude and falls to the ground.

Wilbur calls out, "Orville! Zephyr!" and picks them up, "Are you okay?"

Both Orville and Zephyr confirm.

And Wilbur says, "You flew, you two! Just a little, but you really really flew!"

Orville and Zephyr happily chirp.

Wilbur continues, "From that day on, Orville and Zephyr practiced flying every single day without fail. One year went by, and they both continued to get stronger. All the baby Pidgey who were born at the same time grew pudgier and pudgier. But Orville and Zephyr stayed small, and were eventually able to fly short distances. Then, as they both got older... "

Time has passed:

"Orville, Zephyr, let's do it. You can really fly now, guys, so you don't need to be afraid. You don't need to worry about this cliff, or those whirlpools down there, either," Wilbur says.

Orville and Zephyr agree.

"Alright, then. Are you ready to give it a try?" Wilbur asks.

Orville and Zephyr agree as Wilbur activates his hang-glider)

"Okay, Orville, Zephyr, take off!" Wilbur says and jumps off the cliff and into the sky.

Orville and Zephyr also leap into the sky and spread their wings. Just then, Orville begins to lose altitude and starts falling straight towards a whirlpool. Zephyr flies down after him, and also struggles to fly.

Wilbur calls out, "Orville! Zephyr! Pull up, buddy! Pull up! Come on, you can do it! Fly to the sun!"

Soon, both Orville and Zephyr look up, and remember the painting. With the dream in their mind, they straighten out and dive down towards the whirlpools.

"Orville… Zephyr…. Maybe I just pushed both too hard," Wilbur says, worried.

Just then, Orville and Zephyr start skinning the water before pointing upwards and starts gaining altitude

Wilbur calls out, "Orville! Zephyr!"

Soon, the two Pidgey join up with Wilbur.

"I'm proud of you," Wilbur happily says.

Orville and Zephyr soon fly into the sun with Wilbur following behind.

Wilbur continues the story, "Both Orville and Zephyr's goal is to fly higher than any Pokemon has ever dared to fly. They're truly a pair of very special Pidgey."

Flashback End:

"That's for sure," Brock says.

Tomo says to Zephyr, "You and your brother are both cool Pidgey."

Zephyr blushes in reply

Then Misty asks, "After all that practice, how high can Orville and Zephyr fly now?"

"You know, I'm not really sure about that. They're both pretty small, so it'd be impossible to attach any heavy monitoring device," Wilbur says.

"Hmm, we could tie a string to their leg, and as they fly, measure the string?" Molly suggests.

"No. If the strings get too long, they'll have trouble flying," Mew says.

And Wilbur says, "And I Orville and Zephyr's dream is to fly as far as the outer atmospheres of this planet."

"Really?" Tomo asks, surprised.

"Yeah. Orville and Zephyr want to go as high as any creature possibly can go without using rockets or airplanes, Wilbur says.

Listening outside, Jessie and James are intrigued

"If those two Pidgeys really such a high-flying Pokemon…" Jessie says.

Then James says, "Let's grab opportunity by the tail feathers!"

"Our fame as Pokemon thieves will soar," Jessie says.

Back inside…

"So Orville and Zephyr want to fly to the outer atmospheres of this planet, huh? I wonder what sort of world you could find up there," Borck says.

Just then, the door opens to reveal Jessie and James in disguise.

Jessie:

Probably a world of trouble.

James:

And make it double.

Jessie suddenly steps on James' foot, "Quit it. You'll blow our cover."

"Oh, I forgot," James says.

And James says, "Excuse us, but we overheard your conversation.

"So, this Pidgey of yours, Orville, is it?" Jessie asks.

"And along with his sister, Zephyr. They want to be the highest flying Pidgey in the world, right?" James asks.

"Yeah, who are you?" Wilbur replies, confused.

"We're just two friendly neighborhood meteorologists," Jessie says.

"Meteorologists?" Wilbur says, confused.

"Correct, and you're right," James says, "You could never measure the majestic height Orville and Zephyr fly from the ground."

"Thus…" Jessie says.

Then Jessie and James present the balloon.

"Observe. We present a meteorological balloon," James announces.

"And then, when Orville and Zephyr higher than any other Pokemon…" Wilbur recipes.

"We could prove this with the technologically advanced instruments in our balloon," Jessie says, and turns to the kids, "You twerps, I mean, kids, can come along if you like. It's good to have witnesses."

"You mean we could come, too?" Tomo asks.

"The more the merrier," Jessie says.

James whispers to Jessie, "Are you sure about that?"

Jessie whispers back, "If some of the heroes come, they'll bring Pikachu and Eevee with them. So not only will we snatch Orville and Zephyr, we'll get a four for one."

"That's great," James says with a nod.

Wilbur turns to the two Pidgey, "Orville, Zephyr, are you both ready for this?"

Orville and Zephyr agree.

"Great! The winds over Pudgy Pidgey Isle are best in the morning, so we'll leave tomorrow at dawn," Wilbur says.

Orville and Zephyr agree.

Later that night, Orville and Zephyr are sleeping in their beds outside. Soon, Meowth approaches them with a pair of headsets.

"It's okay, pals. Meowth is here to help you," Meowth says.

(Help?) Orville asks.

(With what?) Zephyr adds.

Then Meowth explains, "Orville, Zephyr. Once upon a time, I was just like you two. I yoined. I yoined to rise above other Meowths. Nuttin was ever gonna stand in my way to loin to talk human talk. You see where I'm going with dis?"

Both Orville and Zephyr agree.

"I understand what it is you're goin' trough, pals," Meowth says, "An' I wanna help yous, 'cause nobody was dere ta help me. So I'm gonna be flyin' alongside you as far as dis balloon is able ta take me. And wit dis mini-micro walkie-talkie, I'll still be able to stay in communicator wit ya! Dis is too important ta blow! Pokémon need ta hear dis! You will be a hero! When dey see what we're capable of, all Pokémon, big and small, will make dere own dreams come true!"

Zephyr then asks, "And for our new friends, and um, Tomo?"

"Yeah. for our new friends, and the kid, Tomo" Meowth says, "And I can tell you also like to make your friends, especially the one who raised you two, proud."

Orville and Zephyr agree.

Meowth puts the headset on them.

Meowth asks, "You kind of like Tomo huh?"

Zephyr answers, (Yes. He thought what we're doing is cool and he also believes we can do it."

"Good to hear," Meowth says, finishing putting the headsets on them.

Then Meowth declares, "For da Pokémon!"

Then both Pidgey declare, "Pidgey!" (For the Pokemon!)

Early the next day, Mew and her friends, Wilbur, and Team Rocket are ready.

Wilbur checks the air current with his finger, "The winds are feeling just right." Then turns to the siblings, 'Orville, Zephyr, you ready to do?

Both Pidgey nod their heads in reply.

"Alright, take off's in 10 seconds," Wilbur says.

Soon, Jessie puts a headset on Tomo, "Here you go, so you can hear the Pidgeys."

"Um okay," Tomo says, confused.

Jessie counts back, "In 5."

Brock: 4.

Misty: 3

Jen 2.

James: 1.

Meowth and Tomo shout, "Blast off!"

Jessie pulls down the switch and the balloon lifts off the ground as Orville and Zephyr fly off high in the sky.

"Wow, those are a pair of fast Pidgey," Jen says.

"Amaura," (I agree.) Amaura says.

"Fire the booster rockets!" James says.

And with a press of a button, said rockets fire and everyone holds on tight. Down on the ground, all the pudgy Pidgey start calling out, cheering for Orville and Zephyr.

"I can tell that the Pidgey on the Isle are cheering for Orville and Zephyr and want them to be careful," Mew says.

Back up in the sky

"Altitude, three thousand meters," James says.

Meowth talks to Orville, "Orville, can ya hear me, pal? How are you and Zephyr feeling? Ovah."

"Pidgey. Pidgey! (I'm good. Everything's swell and going according to plan!) Orville says.

"What's dat?" Meowth questions, "Everything's swell and going according to plan? Just what I wanted to hear."

Just then, Tomo asks, "Meowth is that you?"

"It's me kid, I see Jess gave you the headset," Meowth says.

"What are you doing?" Tomo asks.

"Zephyr likes to ask for some support and like you, me and themselves to be connected," Meowth says.

"Okay. I'm glad to hear they're okay," Tomo says.

Zephyr says, "Pidgey Pidgey Pidgey Pidgey," (We're okay, but we still have ways to go to reach out past the limits.)

"Okay, but remember to be careful," Tomo says.

Soon, up above, everyone spots something.

"What are those things?" Misty asks.

"They're Spearow!" Brock says.

Orville and Zephyr dart past the Spearow flock, startling them before chasing after them.

"Looks like they're chasing them," Mew says.

"Don't you worry about that. No Spearow can catch up to Orville or Zephyr," Wilbur says.

The two continue flying so high that the Spearow are forced to give up.

James looks at the device, "We're at ten thousand."

"It isn't safe for humans to go any higher than this without using oxygen masks," Wilbur says.

James informs everyone, "Oxygen mask, on."

Everyone in the balloon puts on an oxygen mask.

"We're okay with this on, right?" Misty says.

Meowth asks, "Orville? How's everytin' goin' ?"

"Pidgey!" (I'm feeling fine!) Orville answers.

"Dat's great news! I'm so proud of you," Meowth says.

"How are you doing, Zephyr?" Tomo asks.

Zephyr answers, "Pidgey Pidgey!" (I'm good on my end too!)

"Good for you, remember to keep going," Tomo says.

Suddenly, a Fearow is heard and seen flying around the balloon).

"What was that?" Jessie asks.

"Oh no! That's a Fearow!" Mew says.

"Yeah! Altitude's this high are Fearow territory!" Brock says.

Tomo calls out, "Orville! Zephyr! There's a Fearow heading your way! You need to fly faster!"

"Pidgey!" (We're on it!) Zephyr says.

Orville and Zephyr fly fast, but the Fearow is chasing after them.

Fearow soon chases after Orville.

Meowth shouts, "Attention, Fearow! Dis is restricted airspace! I said scram, you doity boid! Dis is bad."

The Fearow closes in Zephyr.

Tomo calls out, "Don't worry Zephyr, we'll help you!"

Tomo throws his Pokeball and calls out, "Voltorb, use Thunderbolt on Fearow!"

Voltorb comes out and gives the Fearow a nailed Thunderbolt.

"Nice work, Tomo," Mew says.

"Thanks," Tomo says

The downed Fearow soon bounces off the balloon, causing the tarp to rip.

"Uh oh," Meowths says, worried.

The tarp rips completely to reveal the Team Rocket balloon, blowing Team Rocket's cover completely.

"Hey! Something's up with this balloon!" Meowth says.

And with that Team Rocket remove their disguises and begin the motto.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble at high altitude.

James:

Make it double, I'm in a mood.

Misty says, "Save it! We heard it before!"

Team Rocket! What're you doing up here?!" Mew demands.

"Well, if you must know, we want the two Pidgey," Jessie says.

And Pikachu and Eevee become our special bonus," James says.

Suddenly, Pikachu starts to lose oxygen due to the high altitude and passes out. And then Eevee.

"Pikachu? Eevee?" Mew asks, shocked.

Soon, Mew begins to lose oxygen as well, before putting her mask on.

"What's going on?" Jen asks, coughing a bit.

Wilbur looks at the monitor, "There's not enough oxygen! We've gone too high now for most Pokémon."

Mew sits and holds Pikachu and Eevee, "Here guys, we can share my mask." and places the mask on Pikachu.

Soon, Pikachu regains consciousness. Then Mew gives Eevee her mask, and regains consciousness.

Misty does the same for Togepi and Sparkle, "Good idea, Togepi and Sparkle can share mine."

Jen and Tomo are doing the same for their Pokemon.

"This is probably not the time to be talking about stealing," Jessie says.

Then asks, "Meowth, are you okay?"

"I got plenty of O2 up here," Meowth says.

The rockets soon fizzle out

"What?!" Jessie says, shocked, "Don't tell me NOW we're out of fuel!"

Meanwhile, Orville and Zephyr continue to fly higher and higher.

"We've gone as high as the balloon can go!" James says.

"But Orville and Zephyr are still flying," Mew says.

"And they're flying farther," Molly says.

"Yeah, those are two gutsy little Pidgey, but I am starting to get a little bit worried," Wilbur says.

"Me too," Tomo says.

"He's right," Meowth says, "It's startin' ta get a little nippy."

"Orville? Ain't you cold?" Meowth asks.

"Zephyr, are you okay?" Tomo asks.

Orville answers, "Pidgey." (we don't feel anything.)

"Pidgey Pidgey," (The cold is making us numb."

"You're not feeling anyting? Not even hot or cold? Dis is really bad," Meowth says.

"They're both going numb," Tomo says.

Wilbur calls out, Orville! Zephyr! That's enough! Come back! You don't need to prove anything to anyone!"

"Zephyr, come back!" Tomo calls out.

"Didn't you hear what they said?" Meowth asks.

But Orville says, "Pidgey, Pidgey!" (You had this hard of a struggle, too, and you didn't give up)

"You're saying dat I had dis hard of a struggle, too, and dat I didn't give up? Dat's true. I struggled and woiked hard to become a human," Meowth says.

And Zephyr says, "(Pushing ourselves this hard, makes us happy.)

"Really?" Tomo asks, surprised. "You're both happy because you're pushing yourselves this hard?

Then Meowth says, "You both want dis, I hear you. I can understand how you're feeling. I know. Dat's just how it was for me, too. And Tomo feels the same.

Orville and Zephyr continue to fly higher, sparkle comes out from them.

"Right now, you both must be da happiest Pidgey evah. Especially since you're both doing it together," Meowth says, "Keep flying as high as you can! Do it for us all!"

Tomo calls out, "You can do it Zephyr! Orville! I believe in you!"

Orville and Zephyr continue to fly higher and higher, using every ounce of their strength. And soon, they reach higher than any Pokemon has gone before. Soon, Orville and Zephyr tell Meowth and Tomo of what they see.

"It's telling us about our planet, and what it looks like," Meowth says.

Orville chirps as Meowth translates, "We''ve flown so far, Meowth. Our wings can almost touch da stars. We can see da moon before us!""

"How are you voth feeling?" Tomo asks.

Zephyr begins talking and Tomo translates, "We've never been happier. We feel so close to the sun right now. It's just how we've dreamed it would be. Everything is so beautiful up here."

Tomo is soon in tears, "Zephyr… you and your brother did it. You've flown farther than any Pokemon has gone before. And you both did it together." Then Tomo wipes the tears from his face, "Please, Zephyr, come back home."

"Tomo's right," Meowth says, "Orville! Zephyr! Please, come back! Come back an' tell us 'bout your adventure! We wanna hear 'bout da excitin' tings dat you've seen, and what it's like way up dere! Come on, Orville! Zephyr! Just get down here where it's safe!"

Orville is the first to reply.

Meowth translates, "We will come back ta tell ya an' everyone else on Pudgy Pidgey Isle all 'bout da amazing woild we've seen."

Then Zephyr talks and Meowth translates, "We're' comin' home. Back to our home on the isle."

"Way to go, Orville!" Meowth says.

Tomo then says, "You too, Zephyr!"

Soon, Orville and Zephyr shake off the snow and agree to head back home. The two Pidgey begin to dive back down to Earth, but everyone in the balloon is getting worried.

Wilbur calls out, "Slow down! Orville! Zephyr!"

"If they keep going like that, they're gonna crash right into the ground!" Brock panics.

Tomo calls out from the headset, "Zephyr, you and Orville need to turn your wing?! Can you both do that?!"

"The kid's right!" Meowth says, "Change direction! Ya both gotta toin an' fly right into our balloon!"

Hearing their voices, Orville and Zephyr slightly move their left wing and fly toward the Balloon.

'Poifect! Straight in, just like dat!" Meowth says.

Soon, both Pidgey dart through the canvas and into the basket, taking Meowth with them, and they crash into Tomo.

"Are you all okay?" Molly asks.

Then Jessie asks, "Are the Pidgey okay?"

Meowth quickly gets up, "Gimme your mask!" He then swipes the mask and places it on Orville.

Tomo also does the same with Zephyr.

"Come on, buddy. You'll be okay. Meowth's here," Meowth says.

Tomo says, "Zephyr, wake up. You'll be alright."

However, neither of them aren't move.

"Orville," Misty says.

"Zephyr," Molly adds, worried.

Then Mew turns to Pikachu and Eevee, "Quick, give them a little Thunder Shock!"

Pikachu and Eevee do just that, and hit the two Pidgey. Finally, Orville and Zephyr wake up.

"It worked!" Molly says, relieved.

All the Pokemon are relieved.

"Orville! Zephyr!" Meowth says.

Both Pidgey get up.

"You're okay, little buddies," Meowth says.

Suddenly, the rip in the balloon widens and the balloon starts dropping faster. Suddenly, the pudgy Pidgey starts running and slightly flying toward the balloon as it comes down.

Misty notices, "It's the pudgy Pidgey!"

The multiple Pidgey soon provide the basket a softer landing. The balloon finally comes down with a thud.

"We made it," Jen cheers.

"And Orville and Zephyr are gonna be fine, too," Wilbur says.

Orville and Zephyr happily agree.

Suddenly, the rocket Team Rocket is on, ignites and lifts off.

James, how are we...?" Jessie asks.

"It seems there was some fuel left after all!" James says.

"Talk about luck," Meowth says.

Wobbuffet suddenly appears, "Wobbuffet!" (We have lift off!)

Team Rocket cries out, "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

"Wobbuffet! ("Literally!") Wobbuffet calls out.

Later, the pudgy Pidgey are now flapping their wings.

"Look at that," Mew says.

"But, I thought the Pidgey on this island couldn't fly," Jen says.

"Looks like Orville and Zephyr were able to show em that Pidgey are Pokemon that are supposed to fly," Wilbur says.

Orville and Zephyr fly over to them, and the Pudgy Pidgey start to hop and flap, trying to get airborne.

"I guess watching Orville and Zephyr made them remember that Pidgey do have wings after all. And it forced them to think about what they truly are. I think we witnessed a miracle," Wilbur says.

Zephyr then flies to Tomo and lands on his shoulder as he nuzzles her.

Then Zephyr says, "Pidgey Pidgey." (Thank you Tomo, for believing in us.)

"You're welcome, Zephyr," Tomo says.

Wilbur walks over and says, "You really like Tomo a lot, don't you?"

Zephyr happily nods.

Tomo giggles, "I like you too, Zephyr."

Then Wilbur asks, "Hey Tomo, maybe, if it's alright with Zephyr, maybe she can go with you. I can tell that you two have become good friends. I feel that both you and Zephyr are meant to be."

"Well…" Tomo replies, turns to Zephyr and asks, "What do you think Zephyr?"

Zephyr chirps happily and says, "Yes. I would love to come with you." And nuzzles Tomo's cheek.

"Alright Zephyr, looks like you're part of the team now," Tomo says.

Mew and the others are happy to see Tomo having a new friend.

Shortly after, Wilbur and Orville say goodbye to Mew and the others, along with Zephyr, and wish her luck on a new adventure. Zephyr continues to fly by Tomo's side near Meloetta and Skwovet walking on the ground next to Tomo.

Elsewhere that night, Team Rocket is now stuck in a tree after their rocket ran out of fuel at last.

"This is getting humiliating," Jessie says.

"Not to mention uncomfortable," James says.

"Wobbuffet!" (Not for me!) Wobbuffet says.

But then Jessie notices, "Hey, where's Meowth?"

It's revealed that Meowth is sitting on the branches higher up the tree with Orville.

"Does it look just da same from up close as it does from far away? And is da moon really made of cheese?" Meowth asks.

Orville chirps a reply.

"Really?" Meowth asks.

Then Orville says, "Pidgey!" (You have to be there.)

"Have to be dere, huh?" Meowth says.

And soon, Orville and Meowth gaze at the moon. And Orville wishes Zephyr the best of luck exploring the world with her new trainer. However, they both accomplish their dream that they'll remember for the rest of their lives.
