I don't own any of this all of the Nicktoons belongs to Nickelodeon.
Amity Park: a nice place for your family to live in. The town is full of nice, friendly people, great businesses and schools, and generally it simply has a very pleasant atmosphere that makes you very comfortable. Yep, the town is a very great place to live in if you ignore it's, tiny, teensy problem that it faces almost daily.
And that problem is that the town is also a very big hotspot for ghosts who love nothing more than to terrify, cause havoc, destruction, and occasionally pull world domination schemes. But other than that teensy, little problem. There's really nothing to worry about, especially since the town is protected under the watchful eye of their very own superhero.
What's unique about their very own superhero is that he's a ghost himself. Well that's what most people think as in all actuality he is a half ghost, half human hybrid of some sort. He became that way due to a freak accident in his parents basement lab, when he entered a newly constructed ghost portal that his parents made in order to enter the Ghost Zone.
They tried to turn it on with a dramatic plug in, but nothing happened much to their dejection. After they left to go over their notes to see what the problem is? Their son Danny along with his two friends: Sam and Tucker came down into the lab, where after being dared to go into the deactivated portal by Sam. Danny walked a few feet into it when his hand accidentally touched the ON button for the portal, now why the ON and Off buttons were inside of the portal instead of the outside is a wild guess to anyone, although most likely it was a oversight by his a bit too eager, ghost enthusiastic dad who wanted the portal operational in post haste regardless of any oversights that he really didn't think through.
That big oversight is what ultimately caused Danny's fate as the moment he touched that ON button. The portal turned on and zapped him! Injecting him with ectoplasm that mixed into his DNA, turning him into what he is today. Ever since then, Danny protected his friends, family, and the rest of the town from dangerous ghosts, but Amity Park isn't the only place that Danny saves as on several occasions he saved the Ghost Zone from certain danger such as the time Pariah Dark had woken up.
Danny's life has changed very much after gaining his ghost powers and although they served him with great purpose, there were several times that they have been a complete pain. Not counting the accidental times he went intangible and got himself into several embarrassing situations or the amount of ghostly enemies he made that would gladly beat the stuffing out of him or make him one of them. His powers have made him a target for several humans that wanted to capture or eliminate him from Valarie who he used to date in his human half who would later become a pretty good friend after they eventually broke up. You can ultimately say that it's pretty awkward when she's trying to blast him in his ghost half.
There's also the Guys In White. A government organization that specializes with dealing with ghosts. They have all sorts of hightech equipment that can paralyzed a ghost with one single shot, they can also see ghosts when their intangible from specialize thermal goggles, they can even rip a ghost apart if they wanted to. It's these high tech equipment and their little regards for a ghost's well being, even if they prove themselves to be good from time to time again is what makes them very dangerous to deal with. Heck, they can give Skulker a run for his money when it comes to hunting him.
But perhaps the most personal people that want to get him is the most ironic for it's his own parents. It's definitely even more awkward for Danny than when he's facing Valarie for one second they would be having a nice family bonding moment with each other, then the next second when he has to go out to fight a ghost, they pull out their large guns and start blasting him, while threatening to tear him apart molecule by molecule. And that is exactly why he won't tell them about his secret for he really feared on how they would react to him being half ghost? Would they accept him? Or would they outright disown him on the spot as they try to capture him before putting him on an examination table and tear him apart until he's nothing but a full ghost that's cast out into the Ghost Zone where all of his ghostly enemies would be waiting to give him a good beat down before being shipped off to Walker's Prison for one thousand years or more just to torment him.
It's a good thing that Jazz knew about his secret or else it would've been even more difficult of keeping his secret from the family. Heck, he didn't even know that she knew about his secret for awhile. Sure she had a few mishaps during her first few days being with the team, but overtime she became a great asset for all of them.
But you know if he can compare his life to anyone, it'll be Spiderman for when he stopped to think about it. He seems to have a lot in common with the fictional superhero. They're both in highschool with a not so popular role in the student body that's complete with A-listers looking down on him and a jock that just loves to bully him. They both have alter-egos, a dangerous rogue gallery, and they even like to banter and be witty during battles. It's eerily similar, but hey that's pretty awesome that he is like the famous web slinger.
Yep. Danny's life is definitely chaotic and dangerous, but he can handle anything with complete calm.
Except for today as due to a late night fight with Technus and the fact his alarm clock had failed to go off. Which caused him to accidentally sleep in and then go into an absolute panic once he woke up and looked at the time. He practically leaped out of bed, tore his pajamas off in a flash before rushing into the bathroom with his clothes tucked under his arm.
In the bathroom; he bounces himself into his pants as he rubbed on deodorant against his armpits, struggled to get his shirt on as he brushed his teeth, put his socks and shoes on while he brushed his hair that ultimately made him fall over with a thud. But finally after getting himself all dressed and ready, Danny quickly changed himself into his ghost half and flew right out of his house through the ceiling.
Down at the front of his home; his dad is busy washing the windshields of the Fenton RV, when he suddenly took notice of him appearing in the sky. "It's the ghost kid!"
From seemingly nowhere, he pulls out a large bazooka and aims at the ghost that pretended to be a hero in order to lower everyone's guard, so that it'll be easier to terrorize and destroy the town.
"I got you now! You ectoplasm scum!" In a series of rapid fire, he shoots at the ghost who easily dodges the shots. It's very lucky for Danny that his dad wasn't exactly the greatest shooter in the world or else he would actually have to worry about the harmful projectiles shooting pass him.
Flying at high speeds away from his house as he still dodges the blasts that his dad continues to shoot at him, until he got himself out of range. That's great as he can now fly steadily, now hopefully he isn't going run into any ghosts on his way to school for he couldn't afford to stop for anything as recently Mr. Lancer has been getting sick of him showing up late to school. He warned Danny that if he showed up late one more time, he'll give him a two weeks detention.
He knows that he's already late, but perhaps he could sneak himself into class and Lancer would be none of the wiser. Soon he at last reaches the school, flying through the roof he lands himself in a bathroom stall where he changed himself back into his human form. Rushing out of the stall, Danny rushes for the door. "Alrighty. I gotta get to class, before Lancer."
The bathroom door then opens and Mr. Lancer entered making Danny stop in his tracks in panic. "Finds out."
With a nervous smile, Danny looked up to Mr. Lancer who glared down at him with deadpanned eyes. "Mr. Fenton. I see that your late again and I'm taking a wild guess that you snuck into the bathroom in order to rush into class with the excuse that you've been using the bathroom when the bell rang." Crossing his arms together with a raised eyebrow, Lancer dares him to correct his story.
"Uh. Would you believe it?" Danny hesitantly asked with that nervous smile still on him.
Holding a detention slip in his hand. Danny walked in-between Sam and Tucker feeling very bummed out over this situation he found himself in. It's bad enough that he received another detention, but he also has to deal with his parents when they eventually find out about this. It made him wonder if he should hide out in the Ghost Zone when the eventual talk occurs.
"Aw man! My parents are going to kill me. I'm telling you guys that this isn't my day." He told his friends.
"What happened to your alarm clock? I thought that you set it up yesterday." Sam pointed out for she definitely recalled him telling her that on a text message before he went to bed after his battle with Technus.
"I did. But for some reason it just didn't go off." Danny replied with great frustration, crumpling the slip in his hand as he tighten it.
"Ah, so you two didn't hear." Tucker spoke up.
"Hear what?" Sam and Danny asked at the same time.
"The small power outage. Last night at approximately two in the morning. Everything electrical shut off suddenly for a solid eleven minutes." He explained.
"I guess that explains why my alarm didn't go off, but how did you know about it?" Danny asked him.
"When your a techno geek like me. Something like a power outage is my very own ghost sense." Tucker exclaimed rather proudly of himself.
"Do you know what caused it?"
"Could be anything Danny. A solar flare, nasty weather, a computer glitch, an overload on the system, transformer explosion, to simply someone crashing into a power pole. Now my personal opinion on what caused it is that the power system simply overloaded." Stopping next to a water fountain, Tucker leans in to drink when a finger came down at the tip of the fountain that resulted in the water to squirt him at full blast in the face.
In surprise Tucker stepped backwards, sputtering from the water dripping down his face, he could barely see due to his glasses also getting wet. Yet, although he could only make out several blurry figures, he didn't need his full sight to know on who has done this to him as his ears picked up the sound of mocking laughter that he is all to familiar with.
"Enjoy your drink geek?" The star jock of Casper High rhetorically asked as his friends continue to laugh behind him. This was Dash and his friends behind him were his fellow A-listers: Kwan, Star, Paulina, and some other jock that Tucker, Sam, and Danny didn't know the name of.
They all continue to laugh at Tucker's expense as there is nothing more on earth than what makes them more happier than to ruin a loser's day in anyway possible from simple tricks, to the very classic stuffing them into lockers in which Dash pulled the record for stuffing the most geeks into one locker. It's a very proud moment for him as no one's been able to beat his record to this day.
Wiping the water off his glasses with his shirt, Tucker gives the popular crowd a deadpan stare for he was wondering when they were going to show up and mess with him? After all Dash can't spend a full school day without messing with him or Danny, which speaking of that he turned his full attention towards him. "Well, well. I was wondering when I was going to see you today Fenturd? I've been hanky for a mega wedgie today and what do you know. Your underwear is just perfect to tie and raise up on a flagpole."
With his hands in position to get a good grip on some underwear, he gives Fenton a grin that the Grinch would be proud of.
"You know Dash." Danny began while taking an uneasy step back away from him. "As much as I would like to do that. I unfortunately gotta decline your offer."
"Like you got any choice loser." Suddenly charging at him. Dash chases Danny down the hall, shoving anyone who got in-between him and Danny. Turning a corner, Danny suddenly stopped in his tracks, and after making sure that no one was around, he went invisible and then jumped right into Dash right when he turned the corner.
Taking complete control of Dash, Danny already had the perfect idea to get back at Dash for not only himself, but Tucker as well.
Dash didn't know what had happened? One moment he had been chasing Fenton down the hall, then the next moment he found himself hung up on a flagpole from the rear of his underwear which stretch to its limit that made him scream out in pain.
Down below he's the laughing stock as it's definitely a show for the students of Casper High. Danny and Tucker were among them and they were definitely enjoying the show, while Sam just looked on with her arms crossed with unamusement, things like this are beneath her, but if that was Paulina up there. Then this would be a entirely different story.
"That's awesome! You did great man." Tucker stated after laughing his butt off.
"Yep. I don't think we have to worry about him for awhile." Giving each other a fist pump, the two left with Sam to a picnic table to enjoy their lunch. Danny definitely had to admit, doing that to Dash has very much helped make him feel better after his rotten morning.
"I just hope that you're not going to abuse your powers again. Remember what happened last time?" Sam question for she's very sure that Danny wouldn't want a repeat with Sydney PointDexter again.
"Don't worry Sam. I'm only doing it for strictly defense or when Dash really disserves it." Danny shrugged as he reached out for a pizza slice on his lunch tray.
"You also got to admit. This is definitely good karma since he wanted to do that to Danny." Looking back to Dash who is still dangling about on the flagpole, Tucker couldn't help but start laughing again.
"Alright, but prepare yourself when he eventually does get down from there. He's going to take his anger out on the two of you." Sam warned them before taking a bite from her salad.
"Oh, will be long gone before he gets down." Eating his own pizza, Tucker felt extremely relaxed upon knowing that Dash isn't going to be bothering them for the rest of the day. Oh yeah. Things can now go smoothly.
Tucker goes to take another bite of pizza, when everything on the table suddenly began shaking. All around the three, fellow students chatter about in confusion and question as they felt a vibration going underneath their feet, then the tables began to shake as a sound roared loudly as it got more closer. The flagpole rocked back and forth, and since Dash is attached to it, he got bounced around like a paddle ball making him rather green in the face, then with a loud tear from his underwear he fell right into a thorn bush. "Ow! Not my face!"
Sam, Tucker, and Danny got up on their feet as they wondered what was going on? Suddenly with a snap of a fence a mound of dirt, (like what you see in a Bugs Bunny cartoon) moved right towards them rapidly. Screams cried out as students moved out of the way from the large mound of dirt that swallowed up the picnic tables, when it eventually reached the table that Sam, Tucker, and Danny are situated in. A large, pink head came out with a mighty roar. They jumped themselves out of the way in just the nick of time as it ate the table they've just been sitting at before it dug itself back down into the ground and moved off towards the front of the school.
"What the heck was that?!" Tucker yelled out in alarm.
"I think it was a giant worm." Sam uneasily answered as she flicked some dirt off her shoulder.
"Whatever it is. It didn't trigger my ghost sense." Danny noted. That was very strange for how could something like that, not be a ghost? But regardless of that strange detail, it's time to go ghost. Rushing himself behind a large bush, a flash appears before Danny Phantom flew out at high speed towards that worm.
Breaking out from the ground. The worm tears through the parking lot by eating any car in its way. It picked up a green car in its mouth and shook it around with deep growls emitting from it.
"Hey worm breath!"
Looking up to the sky, the worm sees a white hair boy looking down at him with his arms crossed and a serious scowl as he floated above him. "Why don't you set that car down nicely and I'll show you a nice fish that you can hook up with."
Turning its head away from the floating boy, the worm spits out the car that flew through the air.
"What's going on out here?" Mr. Lancer demanded. He had just been minding his own business at the teacher's lounge, enjoying a nice cup of coffee when a commotion from outside drawn his complete attention.
He had just stepped outside when the car crashed right against the wall right next to him. He gasped in horror for that wasn't just any car, that was his car. "Pride and prejudice! Why is it always my car that gets destroyed!"
Charging forward at the worm, Danny slams his foot against the worm's head knocking it sideways, greatly agitating it as it let's out a loud roar. Flying away from the worm, Danny quickly turned around at high speeds, dodging the snapping mouth of teeth and fires a steady stream of green blasts along the body all the way up to the end of the worm, leaving behind a long scorch mark.
Crying out in pain, the worm raises its rear and smacked Danny away as he came around for another pass. Spinning through the air a few good meters away from the worm, Danny manages to stop himself from spinning by righting himself up. Holding his head from the force of the smack the worm had given him, he quickly recovers and flew right back at the worm, blasting it more with his green beams along its back before giving it a good punch against the face as it turned to face him.
Turning around for yet another pass, Danny now fires a couple of his ice powers at the top of one of the worm's eyes, forcing it to back up as it blinked away the newly formed ice on its eye. "Sorry, but I say you need to chill out."
Suddenly the worm lunges forward and snapped its mouth close on Danny. Slamming its chin to the ground with a mighty thud, the worm got confused as it didn't feel the child inside its mouth. A whistle from above draws its attention back up to the sky where it, much to its initial shock, sees the boy appear from thin air with a smirk. "Nice try, but I believe that I'm way out of your league worm head. Now lets finish this shall we."
Placing both hands together, Danny shoots out a very large green beam that struck the worm's face. The worm roared in pain from the severe burn it received, it could barely open its eyes from how much pain it was in. It's rear meanwhile went from side to side knocking away many cars.
Seeing how this fight is just about over, Danny figured that now is as good as ever to suck it up. Pulling out the Fenton Thermos, Danny aims and fires a beam that did absolutely nothing to the worm much to the shock of Danny who lowered down the thermos in astonishment. "What?"
He's so stunned that the thermos didn't work on the worm. That when the worm picked up a car in its mouth and tossed it at him. His reaction was too slow to move out of the way or go intangible before it hits him at full force. Hugging against the car with pain filling him, Danny along with the car crashed into the road creating a crater, where he laid right in the middle of it. White rings then appear and in a flash, he switched back into his human form.
Letting out a loud roar at its defeated attacker, the worm digs itself back down into the ground, leaving behind a giant hole that went down for miles. The battle left the parking lot a wreck that would take weeks to repair along with flatten cars who's owners will have a field day on getting their insurance to cover a giant worm attack.
Going around the wrecked parking lot in concern, Sam and Tucker race for the crater and looked down to their hurt friend who looked very much daze from his very hard landing. Next to him is the car that had turned into a twisted, metal candy wrapper.
"Are you okay?" Tucker asked, which earned him a look from Danny. "Sorry. Silly question."
Sitting himself up while holding his aching head, Danny releases a groan as he cracked his sore back. "Aw man. What happened to the worm?"
"It burrowed itself into the ground. I haven't seen anything like that before and we've seen a lot of stuff." Looking back to the large hole it left behind, Sam hoped that no one gets the stupid idea of getting too close to that hole for it seemed to be a long way down.
"Whatever it is." Danny comments as he got up to his feet with his hand on his sore back. "It's not a ghost."
"So is it a worm that got dumped into some toxic waste or something like that?" Tucker always thought that only happened in comic books or in 50's B-movies. Now unless it is some alien worm from outer space, it's the only explanation that he can come up with.
"I have no idea, but one thing for sure is that it's going to be a lot more difficult to get rid of it." Glaring at the hole, Danny wondered if he should go after it as a worm that big is going to cause a lot of destruction and turmoil whenever it surfaces. An ache on his side however stops him from doing so, if he wanted to beat that worm. Then he needed to be at his full strength and be above the surface to have more room to dodge attacks the worm will give out.
The worm will surface again and when it eventually does, he'll be ready for it. Just like always when he faces new foes.
Just then the school bell rang, signaling for everyone to head in for the next class of the day. Danny definitely didn't want to receive another detention from Lancer, (who he can see is still grieving over his wrecked car) so he along with Sam and Tucker quickly left the crater for their next class. As the three headed in, Dash meanwhile struggled to get himself out of the thorn bush. "Ow! There are thorns in my butt!"
What Danny didn't know was that the worm wasn't just any worm. It was an Alaskan Bull Worm! A type of worm that usually moved around underwater during migration season, eating anything that comes across its path as it moves underground. The worm is in unfamiliar territory for it was brought here from another world that Danny has been to before, along with some friends he had made during an adventure to stop the Evil Syndicate.
But the worm wasn't the only one brought here for on the roof of Nasty Burger laid the sleeping figures of SpongeBob and Patrick. They laid perfectly still for the weird glitch that have brought the two here, have really drained a lot of their energy. It's unknown for how long they will remain asleep, especially for Patrick, but it's definitely for certain that their sleep won't last forever. But by all accounts they won't dry up from the sun, since they both still have their water helmets placed on them from when they were at Sandy's.
"Yes. I would like some more Krabby Patties." Patrick said in his sleep before turning on his side and letting out a loud snore as a river of droll came out of his mouth, while being completely oblivious to the different environment around him.
