Episode 113: The Perfect Match!

The Whirl Cup competition continues, six days of Water Pokemon battling it out for the prestigious title of Water Pokemon Alpha-Omega. Mew and Misty have finished their first match, and the next part of the tournament is beginning.

Right now, Misty is in the middle of her Pokemon Battle .

Misty calls out, "Poliwhirl, time to give it your Double Slap!"

And with that, Poliwhirl gives the Magikarp the Double Slap and is knocked out.

Misty switches her Pokemon with her Frillish. At the same time the opposing trainer uses a Poliwrath for his second Pokemon.

"Frisllish, use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls out.

And with that Frillish uses Hydro Pump on Poliwrath with full force, enough to knock it out.

And to a surprise, Misty's Frillish begins to evolve.

Now Frillish is now a Jellicent. A large jellyfish-like Pokémon. It has five tentacles, two of which are long with petal-shaped ends. The remaining three are short and tapered. Since Misty's Frillish is a girl. It's pink with a tall, white crown and a puffy, white collar. Its eyes are blue with red sclerae and surrounded by two eyelashes. Its mouth is red and heart-shaped. The long tentacles have white edges like the male, but the short ones have white frills.

And a few battles continue and the trainers along with their Water Pokemon continue to battle to win the Whirl Cup. And each winner moves on to the next round.

While the other battles are going on, Office Jenny explains a concerning situation to Maya.

"I understand. So someone has threatened to steal our precious sea spirit, huh?" Maya replies.

"Yes, a mysterious caller vowed that by the games' end, the Sea Spirit Sapphire will be theirs," Officer Jenny says.

"Well, Officer Jenny, there have been many threats in the past," Maya says.

Jenny turns to her in concern, "But, Maya."

"You know that the sea spirit has always been safe with us. Right?" Maya says with a smile.

"Right," Jenny replies with a nod.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket watches and waits.

"Looks like they're starting to get nervous," Jessie says. Then turns to the others in excitement, "I think I finally outdone myself!"

"If you ask me, we was better off selling dose hotdogs, dat wasn't so bad," Meowht replies.

"Wobb-uffet!" (I agree!) Wobbuffet replies.

"But, Jessie, how are we supposed to steal it with all those guards standing around?" James asks.

Jessie chuckles and explains the plan, "Yes, but I have a little plan. Thanks to my warning, every guard is surrounding the sea spirit. They'll never suspect our aerial attack.

James: That's brilliant, Jessie! Their guard is up for something going down!"

"Now, tings are looking up for us!" Meowth says.

"Yes, that's right," Jessie says.

Soon, Meowth notices, "Looks like the Twerpette is battling now."

And Meowth is right, now it's Mew's turn to have her match. Mew is battling with her Pokemon, Blastoise.

Mew calls out, "Blastoise, use Hydro Pump."

Blastoise then uses Hydro Pump on Seaking and is able to win that round with no trouble.

And Mew is battling with her next Pokemon, her Shiny Lapras.

Mew calls out, "Lapras, use Ice Beam!"

Shiny Lapras uses Ice Beam on a Wartortle and freezes it in its tracks.

And soon, Mew has won her match as well.

Misty and the others cheer for Mew for winning her match.

Later that evening, Mew and the others are having dinner, as Mew and Misty try to decide which Pokemon to use for their next round.

Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Jellicent, the Floating Pokemon, and the evolved form of Frillish. A Water and Ghost Type. Its body is mostly seawater. It's said there's a castle of ships Jellicent has sunk on the seafloor."

"Your Frillish was great in its battle, and amazing that it evolved," Molly says.

"Yeah. It was unexpected. I guess the battle powered her up," Misty says.

"I bet it did," Mew says.

Then Misty turns to Mew, "Still, your battle was great, and Blastoise was awesome during its match."

"Thanks," Mew says.

"Well, I say you both deserve to make it to the next round," Tomo says.

But then Jen says, "But you have to remember that they're going to go up against fourteen other trainers. And they'll be tough to beat."

"You're right, but Misty and I will find a way to beat them and get to the finals." Mew says.

"Yeah. I can't wait for the next match," Misty says.

Suddenly, someone walks over and asks, "You're Misty, aren't you?"

Seeing the girl, Brock walks over in excitement, "It's you! The winner of today's sixth match! You won your battle flawlessly!"

The girl they meet is a young woman with round earrings, red lipstick, maroon hair tied into a high ponytail, a long skirt and dark purple top.

"Thanks," The young woman says.

"How do you know that?" Misty asks.

"One thing I never have trouble remembering is the face of a pretty girl," Brock says, and brings out a book, "This book helps me with their names."

Then Misty approaches the young woman, "So, anyway, did you need something?

"Just saying hi," The young woman says, and introduces herself, "I'm Trinity. I'll be facing you in the third round.

"Oh! Great to meet you!" Misty says.

And Trinity says, "Misty, I've seen you battle and I'm very impressed. Your fight tactics are excellent."

"Thank you so much," Misty says.

"I know you're a tough opponent, so it should be a good match. Trinity says, and extends her hand, "I wish you luck tomorrow, Misty."

Misty accepts her hand of sportsmanship, "Good luck."

"Now give it your all. You can't go easy on me, Misty," Trinity says.

"Right, I'll see you there," Misty says.

The next day, the third round is on.

The announcer says, "It's a beautiful day as we enter into the third round of the Whirl Cup competition. With only sixteen Pokémon trainers left, the competition is fierce! The winners of today's battles will move on to the quarter finals, tomorrow."

As the announcer talks, Trinity and Misty enter the arena.

And the announcer says, "First up, Trinity vs Misty!"

The Pokemon cheer with excitement.

"Same rules as the second round. Each trainer is allowed two Pokemon," The referee says.

Soon, Misty calls out her Corsola.

"I'm counting on you," Misty calls out.

On Trinity's side of the field, a Gyarados is on the field.

"Let's do it, Gyarados!" Trinity calls out.

Over at Maya's viewing area, more guards are present.

James asks, "How much longer do we have to stand like this, Jessie? I'm stiffening up!"

"How're we supposed to get close enough to grab it anyway?" Meowth asks.

"I... Said I have a plan," Jessie says, sounding worried.

Referee then announces, "Begin!"

Trinity makes the first move, "Gyarados, Hydro Pump!"

Gyarados fires the attack

"Mirror Coat!" Misty calls out.

Corsola does the move and blocks the attack.

"Corsola's using Mirror Coat!" The announcer says.

Gyarados' attack reflects.

"It's coming back with double the force!" The announcer says.

Trinity calls out, "Hyper Beam!"

Gyarados fires the attack and burns through the Hydro Pump.

Dodge it, Corsola!" Misty calls out.

Corsola dives in as the attack hits the water and fills the arena with mist.

The announcer says, "Corsola's last second dodge averted a near disastrous attack! That Hyper Beam is an extremely powerful weapon! One blast could evaporate an entire pool of water!"

"Wow! Close call!" Tomo says

"Yeah," Molly says.

"Now Misty has the chance to turn this match around," Brock says.

Trinity sees Corsola on the screen, "Oh no! Gyarados, get in the water!"

"Corsola, Spike Cannon!" Misty calls out.

Corsola fires the attack and climbs up Gyarados' body right to its face.

"Direct hit! Corsola's Spike Cannon knocks Gyarados for a loop!" The announcer says.

And soon, Gyarados hits a pillar.

"Gyarados!" Trinity calls out.

The referee announces, "Gyarados is unable to battle. Corsola wins!"

The crowd erupts as soon as Gyarados blacks out on the board.

"You did it! You did it! Thank you, Corsola!" Misty happily says.

Corsola is happy as well.

Trinity recalls her Pokemon, "Just a minor setback. I've got, another plan!" and then throws her next Pokeball.

And out of the Pokeball is a Chinchou.

"Chinchou!" Misty says.

"Trinity's second Pokemon will be a Chinchou!" The announcer says.

"Oh, Chinchou are water Pokemon who can also use electric attacks. This'll be a tough opponent for Corsola," Brock says.

Misty calls out, "Be careful, Corsola. It's electric."

The referee announces, "Begin!"

Trinity calls out, "Use Spark attack!"

Chinchou sends the attack skyward.

"Oh no!" Misty calls out.

The announcer says, "Chinchou has started off by shooting Spark straight up in the sky!"

The electricity comes back down.

Corsola, Mirror Coat, now!" Misty calls out.

Corsola manages to block the attack right at Chinchou, but Chinchou doesn't feel a thing.

Misty realizes in shock, "Oh no! I sent the attack back at twice its power but, Corsola seems to have taken most of the damage!"

"I know when a Pokemon uses Mirror Coat, it takes on some damage, too. But Chinchou's Spark attack must've been extremely powerful!" Brock says.

Chinchou, Confuse Ray!" Trinity says.

Chinchou launches the attack towards Corsola

"You can dodge it by jumping in the water!" Misty calls out.

Corsola does so.

"If you think you can avoid Chinchou's Confuse Ray, you're kidding yourself!" Trinity says, and calls out, "Chinchou!"

Chinchou dips its tentacles in the water and uses Confuse Ray again.

The announcer says, "Chinchou's sending out its Confuse Ray it its long tentacles! Corsola could be in trouble!"

Right on cue, Corsola is hit and leaps onto a pillar, completely confused.

"What's wrong, Corsola?!" Misty calls out.

"Looks like Corsola's completely delirious!" Brock says.

"Hang in there, Corsola!" Mew calls out.

All the Pokemon call out.

"Corsola, Recover!" Misty calls out.

However, nothing is happening.

The announcer says, "Misty's trying to guide her Pokemon, but it's too confused to obey!"

"Chinchou, Water Gun!" Trinity calls out.

Chinchou leaps and fires, knocking Corsola off the pillar

"Corsola!" Misty calls out.

Corsola is soon seen knocked out.

"Corsola is unable to battle! Chinchou wins!" The referee says.

Misty then calls back Corsola, "Thanks Corosla, you get a good rest."

Misty then brings out her other Pokeball, and calls out, "Go Quagsire!"

And Quagsire comes out of the Pokeball.

"Good idea. Quagsire is also a Ground Type and will be powerful against Chinchou," Mew says.

"Yeah, but she needs to make sure she turns this around," Brock says.

"You're right. Both Misty and Trinity have one Pokemon left," Mew says.

Trinity calls out, "Chinchou, use Spark!"

The Chinchou then uses the attack and it hits Quagsire. However, the Spark Attack has no effect on Quagsire.

"Oh no!" Trinity says shocked.

Misty smiles, "Yes, Spark has no effect on Quagsire."

She then calls out, "Quagsire, use Mud Shot!"

Quagsire then performs the attack and strikes at it with full force. Chinchou then gets a hard hit from it.

"Chinchou, use Confusion!" Trinity calls out.

Chinchous then begins to use Confusion.

But then, Misty calls out, "Use Hydro Pump!"

With that, Quagsire then uses Hydro Pump with full force. Chinchou is hit with full force into the air and then crashes into the water. Soon, Chinchou is knocked out.

The referee announces, "Chinchou is unable to battle. Quagsire wins! The winner of this round is Misty!"

The announcer says, "What an unexpected turn! Misty is able to win her match!"

Misty happily cheers, "Alright Quagsire, you were great out there!"

Quagsire happily lets out a call with glee.

Trinity recalls his Pokemon, "You did a great job Chinchou, get a good rest."

Over at Maya's viewing area, even more police are present.

"Look at em all!" Meowth says.

"There's way too many of them! And, besides, I have a cramp!" James says.

Meowth turns to Jessie, "Why don't we just call it a day?"

"You both, are impatient, skeptical fools!" Jessie says and clenches her fist, "Okay, then."

"Okay, what?" The boys reply, confused.

"We steal it, during the finals!" Jessie says.

James and Meowth stumble in disbelief.

"Tomorrow's good for me," James says.

The competition continues, and Mew is able to sweep the competition with her Gyarados, especially it's able to have a powerful Hyper Beam, and Dragon Rage attack.

Later that night, at the Pokemon Center, the treatment light goes off, catching the gang's attention.

"Look! Gyarados and Chinchou are going to be fine!" Misty says.

"I agree," Trinity says.

She then turns to Misty, "You put up a great fight. It was a tough battle to win."

"Thanks," Misty says.

"I'll be cheering you in the quarter finals tomorrow," Trinity says, extending her hand.

Misty accepts Trinity's hand in sportsmanship, "That means a lot."

"We'll be cheering for you and Mew on, Misty," Brock says.

"Good luck, I know either of you will win," Tomo says.

A few days have gone by, and Misty and Mew are able to win their battles. Some of them are really tough, but they're able to reach the Finals of the Whirl Cup Tournament.

And now, the finals are about to take place.

The announcer says, "And now, the moment we've all been waiting for, the Finals of the Whirl Cup Competition where we finally see who will become this year's Water Pokémon Alpha-Omega. On the left we have Mew from Pallet Town. And on the right, we have Misty from Cerulean City."

At the stands Molly cheers, "Go Mew!"

"Go Misty!" Jen cheers.

"Give it everything you got!" Tomo calls out.

Suddenly, Togepi spots something above.

"What's the matter, Togepi?" Jen asks.

Sparkle and Pikachu look up and call out, "Pika!" (Look up!)

Everyone soon looks up and sees Team Rocket's balloon.

"Oh no!" Tomo says in shock.

All of them cry out, "Team Rocket!'

The balloon lowers and heads to where the priest is.

"I hear da fiishing's good here," Meowth says

"Then let's drop anchor!" Jessie says.

They soon bring out fishing poles.

"For you folks at home, here's a play by play," James says.

Then Jessie says, "Today, we'll be going after the biggest catch of them all! The Sea Spirit Sapphire! Here goes."

Then Jessie lowers the Wobbuffet lure lowers down and hooks to the staff.

"Got it!" Jessie says.

Suddenly, Pikachu calls out, "Pika!" (Hold it!)

Jessie's expression changes as Pikachu uses Thunder Shock to snap the line, shocking Team Rocket as Brock and the others show up.

"Hey, Team Rocket!" Tomo calls out.

"What are you trying to pull?!" Misty says.

"You're interrupting Mew and Misty's match!" Molly calls out.

That ends up catching everybody's attention.

Even the announcer, "What's this? A hot air balloon filled with suspicious looking fishermen seems to be hovering over the sea spirit!"

Misty says in shock, "Oh no!"

"It's Team Rocket!" Mew says in disbelief.

Where the Sea Spirit is, Jenny says, "So it must've been Team Rocket who made the threatening phone call!"

"Threatening phone call?" Brock asks.

And soon, Team Rocket begins their motto.

Jessie:

That's right! We warned you to prepare for trouble!

James:

And then we decided to make it double!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation.

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above.

Jessie:

Jessie.

James:

James.

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light.

James:

Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

Meowth:

Dat's right!

Wobbuffet:

WOBBUFFET! (Oh, so true!)

Just then, James says, "Our plan worked. All of your guards are no match for us!"

"But what do you want?" Molly asks.

"The Sea Spirit, of course. Truly beautiful things should only be in the hands of beautiful people, like me," Jessie answers.

But then Maya says, "No one has ever been able to take the Sea Spirit away from its home."

"You obviously don't know who you're dealing with this time, your highness," Jessie says, and brings out her rod, "So allow me, to introduce, myself!"

Mew turns to Misty, "Hey Misty, you're thinking what I'm thinking!"

"Yeah!" Misty nods.

Then both girls call out their Pokemon, "Go Dewgong!/Go Tentacruel!"

With that, Mew's Shiny Dewgong and Misty's Tentacruel are let out.

Then both girls call out, "WATER GUN!"

And with that, both Pokemon fire their Water Gun and push the balloon up.

"All that for nothing!" James cries out.

"I knew someting was fishy about dis plan!" Meowth panics.

Jessie cries out, "My beautiful Sea Spirit!"

Then Mew calls out, "Pikachu! Eevee!"

"Sparkle!" Misty calls out.

Then both girls call out, "THUNDERBOLT!"

With that, both Pikachu, Eevee, and Sparkle launch the Thunderbolt and fire at Team Rocket, sending them off.

Team Rocket cries out, "We blasted off again!"

And soon, the attacks land and destroy their balloon.

"We did it!" Tomo cheers.

"Alright!" Jen happily says.

Maya stands up and says, "I'm grateful to all of you for defending the Sea Spirit for me from Team Rocket."

"Oh, you're welcome, it was nothing," Brock happily says.

Just then, Tomo, Jen, and Molly push and pull Brock away. Jen and Tomo pull Brock away by his shirt.

All three say, "You're right, that's what you did, nothing."

Tomo then calls out, "Go Mew!"

"Go Misty!" Jen calls out.

"We're rooting for both of you," Molly happily calls out.

Soon, all the Pokemon begin cheering for them.

Mew and Misty nod in reply.

Mew turns to Misty, "Okay then, ready Misty."

"Ready," Misty says.

Then the referee says, "Begin!"

Mew calls out, "Dewgong, use Water Gun!"

"Tentacruel, use Water Gun too!" Misty calls out.

Both Pokemon launch the Water Gun and they both collide.

Misty calls out, "Tentacruel, use Poison Sting!"

Tentacruel launches the attack.

Mew calls out, "Dewgong, Ice Beam!"

Dewgong launches the attack that freezes the Poison Sting.

"Tentacruel, use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls out.

Tentacruel fires the Hydro Pump.

Then Mew calls out, "Use Aqua Jet!"

Dewgong then performs Aqua Jet and flies through the Hydro Pump.

When Dewgong gets close, Mew calls out, "now, use Aqua Tail!"

But then Misty calls out, "Use Poison Jab, Tentacruel!"

And with that, both attacks collide with one another. That ends up causing an explosion and sends the two Pokemon crashing at opposite pillars.

"Dewgong!" Mew cries out.

"Tentacruel!" Misty calls out in shock.

Soon, it's revealed that Tentacrul and Dewgong are both knocked out.

The referee announces, "It's a tie."

The announcer says, "What an unexpected turn, both Pokemon are both knocked out of the battle. Each of them only has one more Pokemon to win this."

"He's right. Both Mew and Misty have only one Pokemon left," Brock says.

"And only one of them can win," Jen says.

"I wonder which Pokemon each of them chooses," Tomo says.

Misty then throws her Pokeball and calls out, "Go Staryu!"

And soon, Staryu comes out of the Pokeball

Mew then calls out, "Go Feebas!"

And with that, Feebas comes out, and dives into the water.

The announcer says, "Well folks, it looks like it's going to be Staryu Vs Feebas. This battle will determine the winner."

The referee then says, "Begin!"

Misty calls out the first attack, "Staryu, Swift Attack!"

Staryu fires the attack, "Feebas, dodge and use Tackle!"

Feebas dodges and swims towards Staryu for the Tackle Attack.

Misty calls out, "Staryu, use Tackle too!"

Staryu spins and uses Tackle Attack.

Both attacks collide, but Staryu mananges to push Feebas Back.

Then Misty calls out, "Use Water Gun!"

Staryu uses Water Gun towards Feebas.

Mew calls out, "Use Mirror Coat!"

Feebas then Mirror Coat to deflect the attack. It then reflects and strikes at Staryu.

"Are you okay, Staryu?" Misty asks.

Staryu shows that it's still in the game.

"Good, now, use Rapid Spin!" Misty calls out.

Staryu then uses Rapid Spin at top speed and strikes at Feebas with full force.

"Feebas!" Mew calls out.

Then Misty calls out, "Now, use Water Gun!"

And with that, Staryu is able to strike at Feebas with full force, sending it crashing to the wall.

"Feebas!" Mew calls out.

Soon, it's revealed that Feebas is struggling to keep up its strength as the Pokemon swims back to the battlefield.

"You okay, Feebas?" Mew asks.

Feebas slowly nods.

Mew grows concerned to see Feebas has taken a hard hit. Suddenly, Mew notices a strange shine on the side of Feebas.

She squints her eyes to see a blue and pink color scale, "What's that? I've never noticed it on Feebas before?"

Suddenly, the strange color scale tips over and ends up touching the Shiny Feebas on the skin. The Shiny Feebas notices it, and the scale begins to glow.

Misty, Mew, and the others become surprised to see the glow on the side of Shiny Feebas.

Soon enough, Seebas begins to change its form and it grows.

Milotic is an aquatic, serpentine Pokémon with a primarily cream-colored body. It has blue eyes with long, light pinkish antennae above them. Additionally, there are long, blue hair-like fins above its eyes, which begin thin and thicken towards the tips. These eyebrows extend to almost half of Milotic's body length and will be longer on the female than the male. On top of its relatively small head is a straight spike. Running down either side of its neck are three black dots, similar to gills. Its lower body is a pattern of red and yellow, diamond-shaped scales outlined with black. The tail consists of four large, yellow fins with red ovals in their centers.

Soon, the new Feebas lets out a cry.

"Feebas… evolved…" Mew says, and brings out her Pokedex.

Dexter says, "Milotic, the Tender Pokemon, and the evolved form of Feebas. A Water Type. Milotic is said to be the most beautiful of all the Pokémon. It has the power to becalm such emotions as anger and hostility to quell bitter feuding."

Mew then says, "And it looks like you've got some new moves."

Misty says, "I sure wasn't expecting that, but we still have a battle to do."

"Right," Mew says.

Then Misty calls out the first attack, "Staryu, use Rapid Spin!"

Staryu then uses Rapid Spin on the water.

Mew calls out, "Milotic, use Water Gun!"

Mew's Milotic fires at Staryu and it causes it to get pushed back.

"Now then, let's try out that new move, use Water Pulse!" Mew calls out.

Milotic then uses Water Pulse and is able to strike at Staryu.

Misty then calls out, "Quick Staryu, dodge!"

But Staryu is unable to escape.

"Now, use Dragon Tail!" Mew calls out.

And with that, Milotifc uses Dragon Tail and sends Staryu flying before crashing into the water.

"Staryu!" Misty calls out.

However, the red gem on Staryu's body is beeping and is knocked out.

The referee announces, "Staryu is unable to battle, Milotic wins! The win goes to Mew!"

The announcer says, "What an outstanding turn of events! Mew's Feebas has just evolved into Milotic, enough for her to win. We have our Water Pokemon Alpha-Omega of the year. Mew from Pallet Town."

Mew cheers, "Alright, we did it!"

Soon, Brock and the others cheer for Mew's victory.

"Mew was great out there," Tomo says.

"Misty was too," Jen says.

"I think they're both great, but I'm also happy that Mew won," Molly says.

Misty smiles and recalls back to her Staryu, "You did great Staryu, you get a good rest."

She looks to see Mew petting her new Milotic, "You were great Milotic. I had no clue you were carrying a Prism Scale this whole time."

Misty smiles and says, "Congratulations Mew, you earned it."

Later that evening, the closing ceremony is taking place.

The announcer says, "Six days of fierce competition has brought us to the end of the Whirl Cup and the final closing ceremonies! Now the honorable Maya will present the Mystic Water Pendant and the Water Pokemon Egg to the winner of those great battles!"

Soon, Maya does so and gives the Mystic Water Pendant and the Water Pokemon Egg to Mew.

Mew smiles to receive her prize.

The announcer says, "A new Sea Hero has been born!"

Everyone applauds as Maya raises the Sea Spirit above her head.

Then Maya says, "Oh, great Sea Spirit and past heroes of the sea, continue to watch over the Whirl Cup competition and safeguard the harmony of all humans and Pokemon alike."

The Sea Spirit glows as the sun sets.

The next day, Mew, her friends, and Trinity are looking out over the sea to the stadium.

Misty hugs Mew and says, "Congratulations, Mew. You really earned it."

"Thanks Misty, you were also great in our battle back there," Mew says.

"That's true, and it's amazing that your Feebas evolves into a Milotic," Trinity says to Mew.

"Thanks, Trinity," Mew says.

Then Trinity says, "I know I still have a great deal to learn, and the next Whirl Cup is in three years. So until then, I will work even harder to perfect my craft."

Soon, everyone looks to see the stadium is flooding once again.

"So, the Whirl Cup finally ends," Brock says.

"I'm just really glad I got the chance to compete in it, and ended up winning it," Mew says.

"I'm glad I participated, too. I made a great new friend and saw a lot of really cool Pokemon," Misty says. "And I realize more than ever, I love water Pokemon!"

"You know Misty, I love Water Pokemon too, more like all Pokemon," Mew says.

She then looks down to the egg she's holding, "And I can't wait for this Pokemon to hatch.

Just then, her Pokemon Egg begins to glow.

Mew is deeply surprised, "Already?"

Mew then opens up the incubator and takes out the egg. Soon, it glows bright and it begins to change its shape into a new Pokemon.

Her Pokemon egg has a small, blue, aquatic Pokémon with stubby feet and club-like arms that are longer than its body. It has a red gem on its chest and a yellow dot below the gem. Its onion-shaped head has a pair of long blue antennae, which have small spheres on the ends. Its irises are dark blue with yellow sclerae, and there are two yellow dots of "eyelash" markings extending from the eyes.

The little Pokemon opens its eyes and says, "Phy. Manaphy."

"Hello, little one," Mew says with a smile.

"Mana…" The little Pokemon looks at Mew, curious, and soon smiles, "Phy."

And soon hugs Mew.

"Aww, what a cutie," Misty says.

"What is it?" Tomo asks.

"It's a Manaphy. It's an extremely rare Pokemon," Trinity says.

"Let's see what Dexter says, " Mew says, and opens her Pokedex.

Dexter says, "Manaphy, Seafaring Pokémon. A Water makes up 80% of its body. This Pokémon is easily affected by its environment. It is born with a wondrous power that lets it bond with any kind of Pokémon. Although Manaphy resembles Phione, it is also quite different. The relation between the two is unclear."

"Dexter is right, it looks a lot like my Phione," Misty says.

"But it also has some differences," Brock says.

"It's really cute," Molly says.

"It's very nice to meet you, Manaphy. Welcome to the family," Mew says with a smile.

"Mana Manaphy," Manaphy happily says and hugs Mew.

With the Whirl Cup has finally come to an end. And through the spirit of friendship and competition, Mew and her friends gain valuable experience they will take with them from their journey through the Whirl Islands.
