Episode 123: For Ho-Oh the Bell Toll!
Mew and her friends are at the Ecruteak City Pokemon Center before leaving to the next gym in Mahogany Town.
Brock soon picks the road to Mahogany Town.
"This road here looks like the easiest route to Mahogany Town, and the quickest," Brock says.
"The easiest route? Yeah, sure, until we get lost," Misty says.
"Don't worry Misty, Brock and I have been studying the map," Mew says and brings out her Pokenav, "And I made sure to check my Pokenav, and it said this path is the quickest."
"We'll be in Mahogany Town in no time," Tomo says.
"I wonder what Pokemon you'll have to battle at the gym," Molly replies.
"Well, I remember doing a little search, and it said that the gym leader uses Ice Types," Mew says.
"Sounds good to use Fire Types or other Pokemon stronger than Ice Types," Mew says.
"True, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Pokemon might also be Water Types," Mw says.
Suddenly, everyone hears a strange sound.
"What's that?" Mew asks.
Nurse Joy and Chansey rush to the window.
"Nurse Joy," Brock says, surprised.
Nurse Joy and Chansey look out to the Bell Tower.
"The Bell Tower? How can that be?" Nurse Joy says, shocked.
"What's the problem?" Brock asks.
Suddenly, Misty calls out, "Mew, your bag is glowing."
Mew soon rushes to her bag and pulls out to see that her Rainbow Wing is glowing and vibrating.
Outside, Morty hears the same thing as he rushes out, "It's the bells! This can only mean, that the legendary Ho-Oh will soon return!"
"Or the legendary Suicune," Someone speaks out.
Morty turns his head to see, "Eusine?"
Soon, Morty is meeting a slim brown-haired man dressed in a stylish purple suit with a white cape wrapped around his shoulders held together by a red bowtie.
"Yes, Morty. It's been a while, hasn't it," The young man, Eusine says."
Inside the Bell Tower, the bell vibrates enough to ring. At the same time, Mew's Feather is glowing and vibrating.
Shortly after, everyone is outside of the Pokemon Center.
"The bells really are coming from the Bell Tower!" Misty says
"That's the tower next to the Ecruteak gym, right?" Jen asks.
"Yes," Nurse Joy answers, "The Bell Tower never sounds, not even in the strongest, most fierce winds. It's said, the tower bells will only ring when... Ho-Oh is coming."
"Ho-Oh?!" Mew says, shocked.
"Pika Pika?/Eevee Eevee? (Ho-Oh?) Pikachu and Eevee reply, surprised.
Brock turns to Mew, "That might explain why your Rainbow Wing is glowing."
Mew looks at her Rainbow Wing with Pikachu and Eevee. All three remember the first day they head off on their journey is also the day they first see Ho-Oh. As it flies away, one of its feathers has descended to Mew, and she's been holding on to it ever since.
Meanwhile, up in the tower, Morty and Eusine investigate the bells at the Bell Tower.
"Look! Here, too!" Morty says, "We've checked every floor and the whole tower's ringing!"
Eusine then asks, "This is the eighth floor, right?"
"Uh huh," Morty answers with a nod.
"On the night floor are the special crystal bells," Eusine says, "They only ring to announce the arrival of Ho-Oh."
The two reach the ninth floor, but find the crystal bells are gone.
"The crystal bells! They're gone!" Morty cries out in shock.
"Somebody has been up here, and they've stolen the crystal bells," Eusine says.
"Then I guess all of the other bells were ringing to alert us," Morty says and calls out, "Gengar!"
Gengar appears out of the floor
"Go and find the crystal bells, now," Morty says.
Gengar agrees and drops goes back down through the floor.
Meanwhile, in the woods, it's revealed that it was Team Rocket that stole the bells.
Jessie chuckles, "Sparkly crystal. Whoever said that diamonds are a girl's best friend was wrong."
"Wobbuffet!" (Very wrong!) Wobbuffet says.
"According to the Legendary Pokémon Feature, in the special issue of Friends with Pokémon Monthly, these little gems are called the Crystal Bells of Ho-Oh," James says, holding a small book.
"Hey, guys. Dat story rings a bell," Meowth says.
"With crystal bells in hand," Jessie says.
And with that, Team Rocket performs their motto.
James:
We'll ring across the land.
Jessie:
And then when Ho-oh reappears,
James:
We will quickly switch gears!
Jessie:
Because together we will show,
James:
That we can beat ol' Ho-oh!
Jessie:
Jessie!
James:
James!
Jessie:
Team Rocket, ringing at the speed of light!
James:
Our crystal bells pack a mighty fight, fight fight!
Wobbuffet:
WOBBUFFET! (Oh so true!)
"It says here that Ho-Oh is a Rainbow Pokémon, with sacred fire abilities," James reads.
Then Meowth says, "I hoid it glows in seven colors and can see into the future. Dat's quite a catch."
"Exactly," Jessie replies, "Why do you think we've gone through all this trouble?"
"I foresee, a promotion!" James says.
Team Rocket laughs in triumph.
"So let's ring em already!" Meowth says.
Jessie and James begin shaking the bells with Meowth as they call out, "Woo-hoo! Come out, come out wherever you are! Come out, come out wherever you are!"
However, nothing is being heard from the bells.
They soon try again, "Come out Come out wherev…"
Again, nothing.
"They're busted?" Jessie questions.
"Or maybe they're rusted?" James suggests.
But Meowth says, "But crystals don't rust."
"I knew that," James says.
"Oh, give me that," Jessie says, and takes the bell, "I'll make the bells ring!" Then takes the other bells, "How come you guys can't do anything right? Now move away."
Jessie begins swinging the bells angrily around, "I want to hear some ringing! Get out here, you rainbow legend! Ring, I tell you!"
"I'm not saying a woid," Meowth says.
"Yeah, but look at her go!" James says.
Suddenly, Jessie stops to hear some strange ringing sound, causing her to stop ringing the bell. Jessie soon looks at the Crystal Bells as four of them are ringing, but Jessie isn't swinging them anymore.
"Uh, what's going on?" Jessie questions.
However, unknown to them a strange atmosphere begins to appear, and something bad is about to take place.
Back in Ecruteak City, Mew and the others are making their way to the Pokemon Gym.
Mew looks at her Rainbow Wing, "It's still glowing like crazy."
"Maybe it is another sign that Ho-Oh will be appearing," Misty says.
"Which means, we all get to see it," Tomo says.
"Maybe, And maybe I'll be able to see it again," Mew says.
And Misty notices, "But Mew's Rainbow Wing is still glowing." noticing the backpack still has the glow.
Back in the woods, the wind starts blowing, causing all of Team Rocket to panic.
"Somet'in' tells me, we're in big trouble," Meowth panics.
"Wobb-uffet! (Really big!) Wobbuffet says.
Soon, a pair of red eyes soon peer out of the bushes.
Back in the city, Mew and her friends have reached the Bell Tower, but are soon blocked by Eusine.
"Sorry, this building's off limits to you…" Eusine says.
Just then, his face is pulled before Gengar appears, revealing itself to be the culprit.
"Gengar," Mew says.
Eusine pulls himself away, "Cut that out! Didn't we tell you to go find the Crystal Bells?!"
Just then, Morty appears, "Gengar! Go off and stop goofing around."
Gengar soon disappears.
"Hey, Morty. Long time, no see," Mew says.
"That's right, guys. It's been a while," Morty says.
Then he approaches Mew, "Somehow, Mew, I'm not surprised to see you three. It's as if your presence here is evidence that Ho-Oh is coming."
Mew and the others are a bit surprised to hear it.
Eusine approaches Morty, "Morty, I don't get it."
Then Morty says, "This is Mew. She's from the town of Pallet. The day that Mew began on her Pokemon journey she saw the legendary Ho-Oh."
"She saw Ho-Oh?!" Eusine asks, shocked, and looks right at her.
"Yes, sir," Motty says, "Everyone, this is Eusine, expert in Pokémon legends all over the world. He's here researching our ancient Pokémon literature."
Everyone replies hi.
Then Brock says, "Actually Morty, we actually wanted to talk to you about something."
Mew then brings out her Rainbow Wing that is still glowing, "My Rainbow Wing is glowing and started around the same time the bells start ringing."
Eusine is shocked, "It's the Rainbow Wing."
"Um yeah…" Mew says, and shows a sheepish smile.
Later, at Morty's gym.
Morty shows the team a picture, "These are the stolen Crystal Bells."
"Wow," Tomo says.
"These Crystal Bells have been here for more than 300 years," Morty says. "Hey, Mew, I'm sure you heard about this legend before?"
"Well, I remember the legend you told me about how the two Towers represent Ho-Oh and Lugia, but one day, invaders appear and the Brass Tower was badly burned in the process. And Ho-Oh and Lugia left, never to be seen again," Mew says.
"Yes," Morty says, "300 years ago, a great fire engulfed the tower of Lugia. Everything in the tower was destroyed, except for 32 metal bells, and four crystal bells that were miraculously left untouched. The tower was rebuilt, and the bells were put back in their original place, hoping they would bring Ho-Oh's return, but since then, the bells never rung."
"Until they rang today?" Brock says.
Morty nods.
"The ringing of the bells today was a signal to us that the ancient crystal bells of Ho-Oh, were stolen," Eusine says.
"Which means…" Morty says.
"Ho-Oh still watches us. No, it watches our entire world!" Eusine says.
"300 years of, watching?" Mew replies, astonished.
"Yes," Eusine says, "It is clearly written in the legend of Ho-Oh; Ho-Oh's fierce anger will only melt away when the hearts of Pokemon and humans finally meet as one."
"Ho-Oh's fierce anger?" Tomo questions.
"The hearts of Pokémon and humans. Wow," Misty replies.
Then Eusine says, "Ho-Oh created three Pokemon to observe us after the Brass burned to the ground."
"How come?" Jen asks.
"Because, Jen. Humans are the source of Ho-Oh's anger," Morty says.
Then Eusine says, "The legend says; humans tried to steal the power of Ho-Oh, Lugia, and all Pokemon, causing the great battle outside the tower. As the battle went on, a storm brewed and lightning struck the tower. Ho-Oh watched in sadness and disgrace. Drawing from the power of nature and its own ancient power Ho-Oh, created new lives for them. All three represent the event that took place. The reincarnation of the North Wind Suicune. The reincarnation of the Volcano, Entei. The reincarnation of Thunder, Raikou. Ho-Oh has sent these three Pokémon to observe the human race and wait for the day when Pokémon and humans can live together in cooperation and harmony. When that time finally comes, Ho-Oh will return.
"Then the three servants of Ho-Oh must be watching us now," Brock says.
"Exactly," Eusine says.
Then Tomo suddenly asks, "Hey Mew, do you think we'll get to see Suicune again?"
"Who knows, maybe we will," Mew says.
Eusine is shocked to hear it, "Suicune?!"
That causes everyone to jump in surprise.
"You all saw Suicine?" Eusine asks, surprised.
"Yes. It happened before we entered New Bark Town," Mew says.
"And the second time was in the forest outside of Arborville," Brock says.
"Yeah. and Jen was given a Suicune Egg after that," Misty says.
Jen then brings it out and shows it to Morty and Eusine, "Here it is. I've been taking care of it ever since what happened at Arborville. Suicune even let Mew ride on it's back."
The Pokemon nod in reply.
"First Ho-Oh, then Lugia, and then Suicune? You're lucky," Morty says.
"Don't know about luck, but my friends and I had crazy adventures in Kanto, the Orange Island, and Johto," Mew says.
Suddenly, Eusine shouts, "That's not possible! I am the world's foremost Suicune expert, and you're lying! Suicune only appears to the most skilled Pokemon trainers!"
"I don't think that's the reason. The reason why Suicune showed up in the forest was because it sensed the danger Celebi was in," Mew says.
"And Celebi really needed help," Misty says.
"There was a mean proacher after it and tried to use it for evil things," Molly says.
"Really? You saw Celebi?" Morty says, surprised.
"Yeah. And Mew also has a Shiny Celebi," Jen says
"Uh… well…" Mew says sheepishly.
And on their own, Shiny Celebi and Baby Lugia come out of their Pokemon. Morty and Eusine are shocked to see the Shiny Celebi. In Eusine's case, it also includes little Lugia."
Celebi happily says, "Hello."
Both Morty and Eusine snap out of their shock and sheepishly say, "H-Hello."
Eusine calms himself and says, "Alright Mew, was it? I think you have a lot of explaining to do. Same with your friends."
Meanwhile, in the woods, Team Rocket find themselves surrounded by grass and bug Pokémon, including Tangela, Ariados, Parasect, Spinarak, Caterpie and Weedle.
Jessie screams, "Go away! Go away! Go away!"
"Dey're angry dat we took da bells!" Meowth panics.
"Well, tell them that we're sorry and to move on!" Jessie panics.
Soon, the bug Pokemon uses String Shot on Team Rocket, and all three scream and panic.
Meanwhile, Mew and the others have to explain everything to Morty and Eusine, involving their travels. Of course, they leave out their little adventure at New Island, for protecting Mewtwo and the Clone Pokemon. Still, Mew explains how she gained Lugia and Shiny Celebi, including how she gained the feathers of the legendary birds, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. Along with Jen's Suicune Egg, which she's been taking good care of. Eusine also notices Meloetta, and they have to explain it too. They also have to explain about Molly getting an Unown, and other events.
"I must admit, Mew, you and your friends sure had a lot of adventures and caught so many Pokemon. Even Pokemon that haven't been seen by anyone," Morty says.
"Yes. It's surprising that you were there when the incidents at The Orange Islands, Greenfield, and the forest of Arborville occurred," Eusine says.
"Yes. My adventures were not like other trainers, but me and my friends had a good time, but my friends and I had our share of excitement, fun, laughter, and even danger," Mew says.
"But Still, it seems that Suicune and maybe even Ho-Oh and Lugia must have sensed something special about you to let themselves be revealed to you," Eusine says.
"I don't know about that. I always thought it was by chance, and since I got the Rainbow Wing, it's been my good luck charm, and it's a special reminder when me, Pikachu, and Eevee first went on our journey," Mew explains. Then turns to Misty, "It also a good reminder on how I met Misty."
"I remember that day. I didn't see Ho-Oh, but it did end up bringing memories that I met Mew, and she ended up with a crash course on my bike," Misty says.
Mew blushes by it, remember that she ends up getting Misty's Bike fried.
Molly says, "And I'm happy I get to meet Entei and the Unown."
"But the Enti we saw was an illusion created by the unknown," Tomo says.
"Oh right," Molly says.
Suddenly, they hear Eusine laughing and it turns out Mew's Lugia is licking Eusine's cheek.
"Hey, take it easy. Stop licking me. That tickles. Stop." Eusine laughs.
"Aww, Lugia likes you," Molly says.
"Alright Lugia, that's enough," Mew says.
Lugia listens and walks back to Mew.
"I must say, it must be a huge honor to look after its little one, and the Celebi decided to stay with you after being freed," Eusine says.
"Well, I guess, but I enjoy raising Lugia and helping Celebi see the world after being locked in the Pokeball for so many years," Mew says.
"But still, it's a disgrace that someone used the feathers of Ho-Oh and Lugia to trap it," Eusine says.
"And to have it kept locked up for so many years," Morty says.
"Yes. I don't even want to know how that person managed to get those feathers, " Mew says, holding her Rainbow Wing and Silver Wing.
The others feel the same.
Suddenly, someone calls out, "Morty!"
Everyone turns to see a boy entering the room and seems shocked.
"What? What's wrong?" Morty asks.
"It's incredible! The bell tower's been taken over by Pokémon!" The boy explains.
What?!" Morty exclaims in shock.
Everyone soon heads outside the gym.
Tomo is the first to notice, "Look at that!"
Everyone looks and sees the Bell Tower covered in webs
"The bell tower, it's…" Brock says, shocked.
But before Brock can finish, it's revealed to be a large herd of Weedle, Ariados and Caterpie using String Shot on the tower.
"It's covered in Bug Pokemon!" Misty says, shocked.
"And there's a lot of them," Jen adds.
"Caterpie, Ariados, Weedle," Molly says.
Then Brock asks, "What do you think's going on, guys?"
"I don't know, but we need to find out," Mew says.
"I agree," Eusine says.
"Come on, let's head for the bell tower!" Morty says.
But before anyone can go anywhere, a group of Tangela block their way.
Tangela?" Eusine says, shocked.
Soon, more Tangela are see on the roof as a Gligar is seen flying around
"These Tangela are wild Pokémon that live in the surrounding forest, and they're normally very friendly," Morty says.
Mew gets in front of them and asks, "Please don't attack. We're not going to hurt you. Why are you all so upset? We can help you."
The Pokemon however, are still angry. However, some of the Pokemon notices the Rainbow Wing and the Silver Wing in Mew's hand. And many of them begin to take notice.
"Come on, Mew, let's get out of here," Misty says.
However, she spots some Parasect come crawling up the steps and release their Sleep Powder
Morty covers his mouth and nose, "Sleep Powder! Everyone, back to the gym!"
Everyone heads back inside.
"That was, really close," Morty says.
"It sure was," Misty says.
Then Eusine rushes to the window and says, "The Pokémon have taken control of the tower and now they're surrounding the entire area."
"It's a web! We're trapped!" Tomo says, looking out the other window.
Everyone looks and sees the whole forest and town covered in webbing.
"Not just us, guys. Don't you see? The whole town is covered in a giant web! The gym, the homes, everything!" Morty says.
It's soon revealed that the bug Pokémon using String Shot everywhere.
"Why is this happening?!" Jen asks.
"It's almost as if they want us to stay out of their way," Morty says.
"It looked as though the Tangela were trying to scare us. They sure seem very angry," Brock says.
"Yes, I agree. I'm sure that this is all related to the Crystal Bells," Eusine says.
"It must be the legend," Morty says, "The Crystal Bells, they're said to maintain peace and harmony amongst all the Pokémon. And now that they're stolen, a very delicate and peaceful balance has been disturbed. I'm afraid they've now become aggressive towards humans."
"Then it's up to us to find those Crystal Bells," Misty says.
And Brock says, "If the bells are returned, then will everything go back to being normal?"
"Not necessarily," Eusine says, "Maybe these Pokémon, with their harmony disturbed, are now seeking to create a world of their own. A world without humans."
Molly looks around to notice, "Hold on, where's Mew?"
Suddenly, they hear Mew's voice, "Let me go!"
Everyone soon rushes over to the window to see Mew has been tangled by the Tangela as they carry her area. Pikachu, Eevee, Lugia, and Celebi are shocked to see Mew being carried away.
Mew struggles to break free, "Let me go! Where are you taking me?! I need to get back to my friends! Let me go! Let me go!"
Piakchu, Eevee, and the others cry out in their language, "Mew?!"
"The Pokemon are taking Mew away!" Jen cries out.
"We need to get her back!" Tomo says.
Tomo rushes and opens the gym, but is blocked by the Parasects.
Lugia lets out a cry, "Mommy! Mommy!"
"Pika Pika!" (Get out of our way!) Pikachu angrily says.
"Eevee Eevee Eevee!" (Give Mew back to us!) Eevee says.
"Come on! I'm ready for you!" Tomo says.
Skwovet and Meloetta agree.
But Shiny Celebi says, "Wait, we shouldn't provoke them further."
"Celebi's right, Tomo," Jen says.
Suddenly, Gengar shows up.
Morty calls out, "Gengar, Confuse Ray! Confuse the Parasect!"
Gengar performs the attack and it quickly confuses them all.
"It worked!" Misty says.
"Let's go," Morty says.
The group head down the stairs as Gengar flies alongside Morty.
Morty asks, "You found the Crystal Bells, Gengar?"
"Gengar. Gengar Gengar." (Sure did. And the Pokemon are taking Mew in that direction.) Gengar says.
Tomo says, "Gengar said he found them, and they're taking Mew to where they're at," Tomo says.
"Great! Nice job!" Morty says, "Show us the way!"
"Gengar," (Gladly.) Gengar says.
Up ahead, the Tangela continue to carry Mew through the forest. Mew stops struggling as she is being taken deeper into the forest.
Mew asks, "Where are you taking me?"
One of the Tangela answers, "Tang Tang Tangela." (To where the Crystal bells are Rainbow Child.)
"Rainbow Child?" Mew says, confused.
Not far behind, Mew's friends soon reach the entrance to the forest.
Gengar says, "Gengar." (In there.)
"Oh no!" Misty says.
"The Pokemon must have taken Mew…" Molly says.
"Somewhere in the forest," Tomo says.
"Somewhere under that web," Brock says.
"Guess we have no choice," Jen says.
Of course, Pikachu, Eevee, Lugia, and Celebi continue forward.
"They must be determined to rescue Mew," Morty says.
Then Eusine turns to the others, "From what you told me about your adventures. Lugia must really love Mew if he's this determined."
"Yeah," Misty says.
Meanwhile, deeper in the forest, Team Rocket is seen strung upside down by the String Shot.
"I'm tired of just hanging around," James says.
"Stop whining," Jessie says.
"Could someone please call it a wrap?" Meowth says.
"Wooo!" (Help!) Wobbuffet cries out.
Soon, it shows the Pokemon guarding the area.
Just then, James notices, "Look, it's the Twerpette."
The others look to see Tangela carrying Mew to where the Crystal bells are and places her down. They soon take Mew's bags and other belongings.
"Hey!" Mew calls out.
And restraint as one of the Caterpies takes Mew's Rainbow Wing and Silver Wing, and places it with the Crystal Bells. They even take Mew's bag and other items and place them where the bells are.
"What are you all doing?" Mew asks.
Just then, two Paras approach Mew and use sleep powder on her. Mew begins coughing a bit, before starting to get drowsy and falls asleep. Once asleep, the Spinaraks bring a string shot sack that looks like a pillow and places it under Mew's head. Then the Grass Pokemon uses large blankets to tuck her in.
"Uh what are they doing?" Jessie asks.
"Not sure. But from what they're saying is something about guarding the Rainbow Child, or Hero, or something," Meowth says.
"Huh?" Jessie and James reply, confused.
Meanwhile, Tomo has called out Blaze the Charizard, and Flint the Cyndaquil out and uses their fire attacks to burn up the webs, allowing the group to continue forward.
Tomo calls out, "Flint, Blaze, Flamethrower again!"
Cyndaquil does so, revealing Team Rocket.
"Team Rocket!" Molly says, shocked.
"We should've known!" Misty says.
"Would you believe we was woiking on web design?" Meowth replies.
"Yes, that's right," James says.
Soon, Eusine notices, "Look! The Crystal Bells!"
"The Pokemon must've found them," Brock says.
"And there's Mew," Tomo says.
"And they also have her Rainbow Wing and Silver Ring," Jen says.
"Good job!" Morty says as he heads towards the bells.
However, two Tangela, some Parasect, a Spinarak and two Araiados prevent Morty from getting closer.
"The bells. They're protecting them," Eusine says.
They also notice some of the Pokemon are guarding Mew.
"They must be guarding her or something," Brock says.
"Oh no," Molly says.
Misty glares at Team Rocket "Why do you three always have to make such a giant mess of everything, huh?"
"Because we're Team Rocket," Team Rocket says.
But Misty angrily says, "Or Team Wreck-It!"
Tomo reassures, "Hey, everyone, we're here to help. All we want to do is return the bells to the tower."
"Can you please let Mew go?" Molly asks.
"If I may chime in wit an observation, dey won't listen to reason," Meowth says.
"Because you guys stole the bells to begin with!" Jen shouts.
"Yeah! This is your fault!" Tomo says.
"And now Mew is being held prisoner," Jen says.
"Actually, she's not really a prisoner. At least what I got. They keep saying to keep guard of the Rainbow Child or Rainbow Hero or something," Meowth says.
"Huh?" The group replies confused.
Then Morty says, "I think I know what they're talking about. Legend has it, those who have been bestowed a Rainbow Wing from Ho-Oh will be known as the Rainbow Hero, or the Rainbow Child. There are different legends about that phenomenon. They say the Rainbow Hero will be destined to meet Ho-Oh and battle against it. Others say that the Rainbow Child will act as the guidance of peace and harmony between humans and Pokemon and serve under Ho-Oh."
"What does that mean?" James asks.
"I get it, the Pokemon took Mew because they believed she was connected to Ho-Oh. And with the Lugia Wing, they also know she has a pure heart. They believed it would be best to keep her away from other humans," Brock says.
The Pokémon slowly close in, ready to attack as Gligar fly overhead.
"Now what? We're completely surrounded," Misty says.
"How can we make the Pokémon understand?" Jen asks.
Pikachu, Evee, Lugia, and Celebi try to reason with them and make peace, but the Tangela are keeping them back.
"I can't help but wonder, what would Ho-Oh think if it really is watching us? How sad," Brock says.
Jessie calls out, "Hey, there! What about us?! Don't just stand there, twerps!"
Tomo whispers to the others, "I think we should leave there for punishment."
"But we can't just leave them here," Molly says.
"I don't think we should do anything. They're pretty angry. Don't make any unnecessary moves," Brock says.
Mew's Pokemon continue to try to reason with the Pokemon. However, the Spinarak and Ariados fire String Shot at the group.
Just then, Eusine calls out, "Alakazam, Reflect!"
Alakazam comes out and uses Reflect to block the web.
Eusine says, "Ho-Oh's balance is forever disturbed, there's no hope."
Just then, A Vine Whip from Tangela knocks Alakazam out.
"Oh no! Vine Whip can pass right through Alakazam's shield! Reflect has no effect on it!" Brock says.
Then Eusine calls back Alakazam, "Alakazam, return!"
Unknown to them, Mew soon wakes up from the Sleep Powder. Turns out, they only gave her enough to sleep a bit. When she wakes up, she sees that her friends are in trouble. Mew gasps in shock and realizes she needs to act fast. Suddenly, Mew remembers something and decides to act fast.
A Tangela smacks its vines as a warning, and all the Pokemon are ready to attack. Before they can attack, they begin to hear music. That causes the Pokemon to feel at ease, and all their rage has disappeared completely. Everyone turns to see Mew playing with the leaf whistle, who has woken up from her sleep.
"It's Mew," Misty says.
"She's okay," Jen says.
"I remember that song. Mew told us, Adriana taught her to play it, and someone taught it to her," Brock says.
"That song," Morty says.
"I heard of it before. It's called Oracion. The song that has the power to stop the fiercest rage," Eusine says.
Soon, Mew stops playing the leaf whistle and all the Pokemon's rage have disappeared, leaving peace. The gang rushes over.
"Mew, are you okay?" Misty asks.
"I'm okay," Mew says.
"That was quick thinking, Mew," Brock says.
Mew nods in reply.
Then turns to the Pokemon, "Everyone, I understand that you're all upset for what the humans have done, stealing the symbol of your peace. However, my friends and I want to return the bells where they belong."
All the Pokemon look at each other, and then nod their heads in reply. They soon give Mew's friends the Crystal Bells back, and give Mew their feathers.
"Thank you," Mew says.
Suddenly, they all hear a loud cry, surrounding the area.
"Hey, guys. What was that?" Tomo asks.
Soon, an aura or force is soon seen.
"There's a force in the air," Morty says.
And soon, the webs quickly disintegrate.
Misty notices, "Guys, look! The webbing!"
Jessie becomes puzzled, "Hey."
Soon, Team Rocket is set free and they fall to the ground.
"Wow. Dat's a real letdown," Meowth says.
Soon, a familiar figure appears to be seen.
"What's that?" Eusine asks.
Mew and Eusine turn to get a good look, and see Suicune.
"Suicune," Eusine says.
With a bellow, the glowing aura and force fade as the Pokemon of the forest scatter. Soon, all the Pokemon take their leave without any trouble.
Team Rocket also notices.
"Hey! Over there! It's a Suicune!" James says.
"Wobbuffet!" (Beautiful!) Wobbuffet says.
"Suicune, you're mine!" Jessie says and calls out her Pokemon, "Go, Arbok!" and Arbok comes out of the Pokeball.
"Team Rocket?!" Mew exclaims in shock.
Jessie calls out, "Poison Sting, now!"
Arbok fires the attack, but Suicune dodges and fires an Aurora Beam, causing a massive explosion that sends Team Rocket flying.
"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out as they're finally blasted off.
Jen giggles, "Suicune sure showed them."
"It did. Suicune saved us," Mew says.
Soon, Mew and the others rush to where Suicine is, and it continues staring at them. And soon sees Jen with the Pokemon Egg in her arms. Suicune soon closes its eyes and nods in response. But soon, the strong north wind appears and Suicune is gone in a matter of seconds.
"It's gone," Eusine says.
"But where…" Molly asks.
"Probably still carrying out Ho-Oh's wishes to watch over us," Eusine says.
Then Morty says, "Maybe Suicune only appeared so it could protect us by settling down the Pokémon."
Soon, Mew spots something to her right, "A rainbow!"
As soon as Mew spots it, the rest of the webbing disappears.
"It's a sign, of Ho-Oh," Morty says.
"The webs," Misty says.
"They're gone!" Jen says.
"Is this, also the power of Ho-Oh?" Brock asks.
"I believe so," Mew says.
Suddenly they hear screeching sounds.
Molly looks up and gasps, "Guys, look up there."
Everyone looks to see the magnetic flying bird Pokemon with wings similar to Mew's feather fly over the window.
"Is that…" Brock asks, shocked.
"It's Ho-Oh," Morty says, surprised.
"Astounding," Eusine says, just as surprised.
Mew simply smiles and is glad to be able to see it again. Eevee and Pikachu feel the same. Just then, Ho-Oh lets out a screech and a beam of light descends to where Mew and the others are as the last of the webbing disappears. When the blinding light disappears. Ho-Oh is gone.
"Oh my," Jen says.
"That was Ho-Oh…" Misty says.
"It's amazing," Tomo says.
Molly soon notices, "What's that?"
The group looks to see an orange, white, and green pattern egg, and it also has a rainbow-like feather similar to Mew's at the center.
"It's an Egg," Mew says, and gently picks it up.
Lugia approaches the Egg and looks at it curiously.
"What kind of Egg is it," Brock says.
"I believe this must be the Egg of Ho-Oh," Morty says.
"Think you're right. And it appears Ho-Oh has entrusted Mew to watch over its child," Eusine says.
Mew doesn't say a word, but instead gently hugs it, and vows to take good care of this little one.
Later that evening, Mew and her friends are about to bid Morty farewell.
"We're gonna get going, Morty," Mew says.
"I wish you luck in your upcoming matches and to raise Ho-Oh's egg," Morty says.
"Thanks a lot," Mew says, and shakes Morty's hand, "Morty, if I ever get to meet Ho-Oh or Suicune again, I'll be sure to let em know how we feel about Pokemon. Right, guys?"
Pikachu and Eevee happily agree.
Then Misty asks, "Where's Eusine?"
"He left already," Morty says
Meanwhile, Eusine wadering through the woods.
Moiety soon adds, "Off in search of Suicune. You never know. Maybe some of Mew's diligence has rubbed off on him."
Mew laughs sheepishly, a bit flustered.
Then Morty says, "I think that Ho-Oh is still out there watching us. And someday, if the hearts of Pokemon and humans can become one, Ho-Oh will return. I believe that day will come."
"Yeah, me, too. I believe," Mew says.
Everyone agrees as well, even the Pokemon agree.
And soon, Mew and her friends leave Ecruteak City and move on to the next gym and another part of their journey, and with a new Egg, waiting to be born to the world.
