I don't own any of this all of the Nicktoons belongs to Nickelodeon.
Gathering themselves near both the Specter Speeder and Youngblood's pirate ship. Our heroes are a bit exhausted after battling even more Krang on their way back out of the facility, right along with that living rock man which Mikey had called "Tragg."
Thankfully, with help from both Jenny and Mikey's extensive knowledge of Dimension X, they easily managed to beat him much quicker this time; they couldn't express how good it felt to watch him fall off the edge of the island, thanks to a few well-placed shots from exploding crystals being thrown at him.
Now with both Tragg and the Krang gone for the time being, they all have a chance to gather around and chat about what to do with that ship. "Can someone explain the plan to me again?"
"We haven't discussed anything yet Patrick." Danny reminded for they all just got here.
The first matter of business is installing the mobile transporter into the Spector Speeder in order for us to have the right coordinates ready for use," Jimmy instructed with one raised finger.
"And I can get it up faster than Mikey eating pizza," Donnie proudly announced as he approached the awaiting vehicle. Stepping inside, he marveled at the advanced technology displayed to him; he would have to take a few notes on adding some of this equipment to the new Turtle-Blimp 2.0, he has recently been designing before this whole dimensional adventure.
But he couldn't get distracted now, he has a very important job to do. The fate of every known universe is at stake. Pulling out the mobile transporter, Donnie stepped over to the controls and began his work on installing it to the ship's systems, judging by his current speed, he'll be finish with in in about a few minutes.
Back outside, while everyone was waiting for Donnie to come back out. Jimmy had Goddard display a full holographic image of the Airship Of Doom in the middle of the semi-circle they'd made. Watching the holographic image carefully, the image slowly rotated, revealing the front, the engines, and of course the main cannon itself.
"As you all know. The Airship Of Doom, I still don't get that name, is a formidable warship loaded with a series of outer defenses with the cannon being its main weapon which has enough fire power to destroy a star. We can't allow this weapon to exist, not only because of the lives threaten by the resulting red giant in the resulting destruction, but also each of our worlds if they decide to bring it into one of our dimensions." Jimmy explained, while the holographic image zoomed in on the cannon which animates to show it firing a beam that struck Spongebob's stomach, making him laugh for it tickles a little.
"So, um, how exactly are we going to destroy this thing?" Timmy asked as that was the most important question.
"I say we get a couple of missiles. Come in fast before they even know we're there, and then blow it up so quickly they won't even have time to react." Raph exclaimed as he punched his fist into an open palm.
"And where would we get these missiles shellhead?" Ember snarked for that was the dumbest plan she had ever heard in her entire life...or afterlife.
"Maybe we can ask them not to do anything with it." Patrick suggested in glee.
Scratch that earlier statement. That was definitely the dumbest plan she has ever heard. If dipstick had ever done that whenever she was doing one of her taking over the world schemes. She would at first laugh her butt off before promptly attacking him with her guitar.
"Yeah. I don't think any villain is going to stop their evil scheme when asked to." Danny remarked, noting if that could really happen, it would have saved him a lot of trouble in the past. But now, glancing back at the hologram for a much closer look, he placed a finger to his chin. "Can we get the layouts for the inside?"
"Sorry, but most of the inside layout is classified. It seems that only high-ranking members can look at it. Even when I tried hacking it, and believe me, I have; the layout still comes out blurry." Jimmy replied regretfully.
"They thought up of everything bro." Mikey stated.
"Yeah. We're basically going to be blind once we come aboard that thing." Tucker added in dismay. Why must these things be so difficult? Couldn't there be a simple self destruct button somewhere in that thing.
"Hmm. We have no other choice than to go in blind and fight whatever Krang is in our way, all the while trying to find the trapped ghosts locked up in that ship, where we will then free them from their confinement, and then together we'll try to find a way to destroy it." Danny remarked as that plan sounded great, plus bonus; once they free all the ghosts, the cannon couldn't function.
"Nice plan, kid." Johnny complemented for not only would he have another chance on smashing some more Krang, he'll also be able to finally rescue Kitty from their pink tentacle clutches.
"It's a nice plan," Leo spoke up. "But we are also going to need a distraction to keep most of the Krang busy. Trust me, we won't make it far with every Krang on that ship swarming us, and that's not to mention the security inside the ship."
"Good point Leonardo, but what sort of distraction should we use?" Jimmy asked.
Just then Mikey got a great idea, which is totally dope he must add. "I got it! We can have a separate team to do a outside assault. They'll be so distracted with an outside attack, they won't even notice the other team storming through the ship."
"That's... actually a pretty good idea." Raph remarked, completely stunned; who would have ever thought that Mikey could come up with an idea like that?
"I agree, but how should we go about doing this?" Jenny asked for personally, she wanted to teach those guys a lesson on controlling her in order to do their evil biddings. If it were up to her, she would rip it apart piece by piece until it was nothing less than dust and useless wreckage, and don't even get her started on what she would do to those Krang once she got her hands on them.
"Easy, robot girl. My pirate ship is the perfect thing to attack that lame ship." Youngblood boosted, he could already imagine the epic scene; his ship flying into battle, firing all its cannond at its haul with many explosions. Ah yes. The awesome explosions.
"The pirate ship won't be enough." Sam suddenly declared. "We need it to focus on multiple targets instead of just one where they can unleash all their weapons. That's why me and Tucker will fly around close to its surface with the Spector Speeder."
"Um, we will?" Tucker hesitatedly asked. He really didn't want to get blown up by one of those turrets.
"Yes, we will," Sam insisted with a bit of a glare. "We have to keep them busy as much as we can in order for everyone else to storm the ship."
"But are you sure about wanting to do this Sam?" Danny asked in concern. They don't really know what sort of defenses the ship exactly has. Sam and Tucker could be flying about, dodging incoming turret fire when bam! They are suddenly blown by a short range missile or something even more destructive and deadly.
"Don't worry Danny. We'll be completely fine." Sam reassured with a smile in which Danny happily returned, which everyone else quickly took notice on.
"Aw! Are you guys a couple?" Mikey suddenly asked causing them both to heavily blush as they both sharply turned to him with a glare of clear embarrassment. "No, we're not!"
Thankfully before it could get any more awkward for them, Donnie poked his head out from the Spector Speeder with a very pleased smile. "Good news guys. I got the transporter installed."
"Good work Donatello. Now we can get to the Airship Of Doom." Jimmy happily proclaimed.
"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's take down that thing before it becomes a literal Death Star." Timmy declared.
"Indeed beaver tooth boy." PointDexter whole heartily agreed before muttering under his breath. "This place is really starting to give me the creeps."
They all rushed to their respective ships; Jimmy and the others, along with the turtles, hopped into the Spector Speeder, while Danny, the ghosts, and Jenny hopped aboard Youngblood's ship. Activating both ships, they both rose up to the sky, turned around, and moved a few feet away from the island.
Once they are far enough away, Tucker pushes a new button on the controls that opened up a large pink triangle in front of them.
"Ready or not. Here we come." SpongeBob declared in determination as they all went through the portal.
Shortly after entering into another universe, the boss man lifted his head up in attention as Vlad entered his chambers with clear glee, for that was another successful test-fire. This one was the most destructive yet, as this time the ship had to keep a safe distance near Pluto during the firing of the weapon, which is now up to 90% completion.
"My fellow evil doer. I'm please to inform you that the cannon is almost fully powered up. I say it's time for us to celebrate. Perhaps a nice drink with large slices of ham." Vlad is definitely in a party mood, in fact he should have his ghost vulture henchmen head on back to his house and pick up several of his favorite music.
"Hold your celebration till we get to a hundred percent my friend. We don't want to celebrate too early, am I right."
"Hmm. You have an excellent point." Vlad shrugged before stepping up to the bottom of the steps for as well as coming here to propose a celebration on the current status on the cannon. Vlad also has a lingering question that he's been thinking about after the first official test.
"So as you know. We destroyed various Earth's during our voyage."
"Yes. Five worlds in total." He recalls the world with the football-headed kid, then the other worlds with the two kids in superhero outfits, a barnyard with talking animals, a boy who's best friend's with a talking snake, and most recently, the strange world with the pig, goat, banana, and cricket inhabiting it. Those worlds were strange and would've been very fascinating to observe for scientific research, but oh well, they are now nothing more than dust and atoms.
"Now, don't get me wrong. Seeing those Earth's get destroyed in a very spectacular event is always fun. With each one being different from the last, thanks to our test fires, but I have to ask, when do we start conquering worlds instead of destroying them? It'll be hard to rule anything if we keep destroying everything." Vlad stated, as he really didn't want to rule nothing; it took all the joy out of being a tyrannical ruler.
"Patience my friend, patience." He quickly reassured while holding up his hand near his chest. "After our weapon is at a hundred percent. We'll broadcast to every TV in the multiverses, where we will gladly give our lovely audience a showing of what our glorious ship can do. They'll have no other choice but to submit to our rule unless of course they want their Earth gone with one devastating blow."
Sharing an evil grin with Vlad, he could tell that Vlad loved that plan, which pleased him very much since he needed to keep him happy in order for Vlad not to become suspicious of the true plan at hand.
"Excellent. It shouldn't take long to reach a hundred percent. Those Krang are bringing in the last of the ghosts as we speak." Now technically it wasn't every single ghost from the Ghost Zone as there are some very familiar faces missing, but still they have managed to get a good portion of the population. If he had to guess, Vlad predicted the final delivery will be here at around dinner time. Which would be perfect timing for you need to have a celebratory feast when everything is ready.
"You did very well, Plasmius. You should head on down to the rec room and reward yourself." The boss kindly suggested. Something that Vlad really took a liking to. "Yeah. You know something? I do deserve a reward. If you need me, I'll be enjoying some shrimp cocktail."
Switching himself into ghost form, Vlad turns himself intangible and disappears through the wall on the right. He tends to do this often for Vlad found it to be much more quicker than walking around the ship. Besides it also saves him the trouble of being held back by a crowd or whatever else would be in his way in the many hallways.
But now with him gone, the boss man returns his attention to a passing comet overhead, a very pretty site to behold as they traveled through space. He now begins to grin more wickedly as he taps his fingers against each other, all the while thinking of how easy Vlad can be tricked. "That old fool."
Emerging out from the portal, the two ships found themselves coming out right next to Mars. Right on the deck, watching in glee for being an astronaut has always been his dream, Danny now with a breathing helmet couldn't help but think on how awesome this is. Especially when you're one of the few people who actually seeing Mars up close with no telescope for aid.
"Alright," Jimmy's voice called out over the wrist com-links Timmy had given them all earlier thanks to a wish. "According to the scanners, the Airship of Doom should be right near the planet Pluto."
"Yes, and from our current position we should reach there at about a couple light-years." Donnie added.
An auditable groan is then heard from Mikey who began to whine. "Light-years! Will be 100 years old by the time we reach it!"
"Not necessarily. I believe Timmy has this covered, don't you Timmy." Jimmy asked.
"You bet I do. I wish that both ships had mega-boosters!" Just like that a poof suddenly came from the back, revealing shiny new boosters that gleamed in the sun's light.
"Sweet" Youngblood commented before the boosters automatically lit up in brilliant blue flames and pushed both ships at very fast speeds at near lightspeed. It's so fast that everyone had to hold on tight to whatever solid object they could get their hands on as their bodies flew like flags.
In the more enclosed space of the Specter Speeder, the others were much more comfortable, while also being able to move around. Watching the speed they were traveling at through the windshield, both SpongeBob and Patrick felt mesmerized; it almost looked like the drop-off leading into Rock Bottom. And they weren't the only ones; Mikey was equally captivated by the view.
"Whoa! This reminds me of that movie with the hairy copilot."
"You kidding! This is exactly like Space Heroes!" Leo exclaimed with the enthusiasm of a fanboy.
"Whatever this reminds you of." Tucker spoke up in order to get all of their attention back to the more important task at hand. "It's thanks to this speed, we will be at our destination within a matter of minutes now."
Comfortably leaning back in his chair with his hands resting behind his head and his feet propped up on the console, Tucker let out a relaxed sigh. "Might as well chill a bit before the big showdown."
"Sounds like a good plan, dude." Pulling out his T-Phone, Mikey immediately began to play the new puzzle game he downloaded last week, currently he is stuck on level 20 and this time he is going to win it.
He just began to play when suddenly a green flash appeared out of nowhere, startling them all. Looking over to where the light had come from, they were all surprised to see a white-haired boy wearing an orange shirt and blue pants, standing there, looking back at them in stunned silence.
The silence is broken by SpongeBob who happily raises his hand and waves. "Hi there! Nice day, isn't it?"
The kid blinked a couple times as he took in more of his surroundings, more specifically the strange assortment of characters he now stood before. A talking sponge and starfish, four ninja turtles riding in a vehicle through space; his expression quickly changed to one of someone who wondered what he had gotten himself into now.
Glancing quickly down at the watch on his wrist, he began to fiddle with it in frustration. "Stupid watch. I didn't set it to alien spaceship."
"Hello," Jimmy finally spoke up as he approached the sudden newcomer. "Who are you?"
Looking up from his watch in uncertainty, the boy hesitates a bit before finally answering him. "Lincoln Loud and you may not believe me, but I am actually from ano-"
"Another dimension. Don't worry, we are all from different dimensions. Now, before we go into any further details, I must know: how did you get here?"
Lincoln is very relieved that he doesn't have to go into detail about being from a completely different dimension or the worry that they wouldn't believe him. With that being said, he has to think for a moment before answering Jimmy while raising up his wrist to show off the watch. "I traveled here with this."
Examining it closely, Jimmy felt a sudden surge of excitement within him as he realized what he was seeing. "Leaping leptons! An actual watch, multiverse traveling device. I always wanted to create one of these. Where did you get this from?"
"My sister Lisa made this."
"How fascinating. Your sister is quite the genius. Tell me, has she made anything else?"
"Yes as a matter of fact. She once made a time machine out of the family car, robots in seconds, a living trash monster, and several other inventions that can make your head spin." Glancing back down at the watch, Lincoln then became a bit bitter. "Although this one is buggy, I was supposed go home, not on some spacecraft."
"Here let me take a look." Gently grabbing hold of Lincoln's hand, Jimmy inspected the device for a approximately five seconds before finally releasing the hand. "Actually, it should be working just fine."
"Then why am I here? I should be back in my room, reading some comics in celebration of my return home as of right now."
After thinking about it a bit, Jimmy comes up with an answer for Lincoln's problem. "The most likely explanation is that when we entered into this dimension, the portal interfered with your molecules traveling between dimensions. As a result, you ended up entering the nearest solid ground, which in this case was the Specter Speeder, instead of your own home."
Hearing that explanation, Lincoln felt the words go right over his head; he may have a genius for a sister, but he could never get used to her science speeches. "So are you basically saying that I am in my home dimension, but just in space?"
"Precisely"
Wearing a huge smile of excitement now, despite the setback, for Lincoln knew that he was at least one step closer to getting home. All he had to do now was simply ask these guys to drop him off back on Earth; whatever they were doing out here in space was not his concern. "Great. Do you guys mind dropping me off?"
"Sorry kid. But we're on an important mission at the moment and we can't afford to get distracted by anything." Leo proclaimed.
"Wait... what mission?" Lincoln was very disappointed that they weren't going to be dropping him off back at the safety of his home, but the sudden mention of a mission got his attention just as it would with Leni when she saw a large sale at the mall. He hoped that they weren't going to do anything evil like take over the world or something like that.
"You want the short answer?" Raph asked.
"Yes" Lincoln nodded.
"We're trying to stop these aliens we call the Krang from destroying your world with this new airship of theirs."
"Wait, what! Destroy my world!?" That was definitely an alarming sentence he wasn't expecting to hear. Was this red mask wearing turtle serious? This couldn't be true for what about the safety of his family, friends, or everyone else he cared about in his world. If there really is something that could destroy his world, then he definitely has the right to know about it, after all this is his dimension.
"Unfortunately, yes, Lincoln. The Krang have created this massive ship that, for some reason, they've named "The Airship of Doom." The ship is very deadly, as it has enough firepower to destroy an entire star with just one shot from its cannon." Jimmy gravely explained, he hated to do it as by the look on Lincoln's face, Jimmy could tell that he was imagining everyone and everything he ever knew and loved dying from the burning fury of a red giant until there was nothing else left.
He was so filled up with the shock of this horrifying news that his body suddenly felt heavy; he stumbled backwards up against the back wall and slowly fell onto his bottom with both hands on his head. "Boy. "That's, that's a whole lot to take in."
"I know right? It totally blows the mind, but thankfully some jellybeans and M&M covered pizza always calms my nerves." Pulling out a slice from his shell, Mikey went on over to Lincoln and offered him it.
However upon seeing the slice of pizza, Lincoln rightfully cringes away, he may be a huge fan of pizza, but he does have his limits. "No thanks."
"Oh well. More for me." Taking in a nice bite out of his pizza slice, Mikey lets out a satisfied hum. Weirding out Lincoln greatly as he couldn't understand how anyone could like this kind of pizza; however, Mikey's weird pizza taste wasn't his main concern - no, the main problem is that his world was in very grave danger.
"Tell me. Do you guys even know where this Airship Of Doom is?"
"Actually yes. It's near Pluto and will be there within a few minutes." Tucker replied.
"And what's your plan on destroying it exactly?" That is by far the most important thing Lincoln has to know.
"The plan is to head in, free the ghosts powering the cannon, then head for the core where me and Donatello will overload the systems. After that, we need to get out as fast as we can before it blows with the force of one million nuclear bombs." Jimmy explained fully, which Lincoln listen to very carefully; it was a good plan, but part of Jimmy's sentence really made him stop to think hard.
"Did you just say that ghosts are powering up the cannon?" That's definitely new and very unusual. Normally when you think of power sources, ghosts usually don't come to mind.
"I know how absurd it sounds, but it's very much true." Jimmy insisted.
"How is that even possible?" Lincoln knows ghosts from all the times he watched ARGGH! And he knows for a fact that ghosts can't be used as power sources.
"It's best that you don't think this over too much." Donnie remarked.
Just then, the entire ship suddenly shook violently enough to unbalance her standing occupants a bit before shortly stopping, allowing them all to right themselves. "What was that?" Wanda asked in concern; had the ship started to break apart?
"We're here." Sam declared as she steadily slowed the ship down.
Upon hearing that news, all of them looked out the windshield and saw the dreadful ship getting bigger and bigger with each passing second. A sudden nervousness struck them all, for there was certainly no turning back now; the time for battle had arrived. A battle that would determine the fate of every known dimension in the multiverse.
