Chibiusa was dreaming. It was her first day of school, standing in the classroom in front of the other students as her teacher introduced her.
"Alright, class. Pay attention. Today, I'd like to introduce you all to a new classmate as well as a new friend," said the teacher. "Say hello, our new transfer student, Usagi Tsukino. Make sure to be friendly with her as you make her feel welcome."
All of the students stared at Chibiusa, half of them amazed at how cute she looked, while others thought she looked unusual. Then a young boy with short dark brown hair laughed.
"You look so tiny!" the boy teased. "We should call her Chibiusa because she's so small!"
A girl sitting behind the boy stood up from her desk, looking very cross at that moment. She had light brown hair tied in a bun and wore an orange kimono.
"Kyuusuke! That's not funny!" the girl scolded. "Stop being so rude by calling her names! You're always doing that to people!"
But Kyuusuke continued to tease the pink ordango ignoring the girl. "Chibiusa! Chibiusa!"
Bun girl, not standing for any nonsense, then took her workbook, rolled it up, and then smacked it right upside Kyuusuke's head, making the boy yelp, surprising Chibiusa.
"Ow! OK, Momoko, I get it, already!" Kyuusuke conceded. "I'll stop teasing her!"
"Good!" Momoko said, still being stern. "Now, apologize to Usagi!"
Kyuusuke then apologized. "Sorry, Usagi," he said. "But, is it OK if we still call you Chibiusa?"
"Yeah, would that be OK with you?" asked Momoko.
Chibiusa responded with a warm smile. "Sure. I'd like that very much."
Chibiusa was fast asleep, sick in bed, while Luna and Artemis watched over her making sure that she was taken care of, just replacing the cloth on her forehead. While she was sleeping, the two cats couldn't help but notice that the girl had a big smile on her face as she slept.
"Looks like her fever seems to have gone down," said Artemis.
"And she must be having a nice dream," Luna smiled. "How adorable."
Chibiusa then woke up, her eyes slowly opening.
"Morning, sleepyhead," Artemis said. "How do you feel?"
"A little better," Chibiusa replied as she sat up. "You think that I'll be well enough to go back to school tomorrow?"
Luna couldn't help but giggle a bit. "You really must love school if you're that eager to go back," she said. "Is it fun?"
"It sure is!" Chibiusa said happily. "You know why? It's because I get to sit next to this girl who's-"
But before Chibiusa could say anything more, the door opened, and Usagi and Harusuke walked in.
"Hey there, Chibiusa!" Usage greeted. "We're back!"
"How are you feeling, kiddo?" asked Harusuke.
"I feel much better now," Chibiusa replied. "I'm as good as gold!"
"That's great news!" Usagi said. "Because everyone's just come over to visit."
Sure enough, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako appeared, greeting Chibiusa as they came in, much to Chibiusa's delight.
"Oh, wow! Hey, everyone!" Chibiusa greeted back.
"And that's not all," Harusuke said with a grin. "There's someone else who's come over to see you. A cute little friend of yours that I'm willing to bet will make you very happy."
Harusuke then stepped to the side of the doorway, and then Momoko peered in. When she saw her, Chibiusa became so happy that she practically exploded with excitement, ripping the covers off of the bed and rushing straight towards her friend until she barreled into her in a hug.
"Momo! I can't believe it! It's you!" Chibiusa squealed.
"I'm glad to see you're looking better, Chibiusa," Momoko laughed. "Are you finally over your cold?"
"Yup! I'm all better now," replied Chibiusa. "But, I feel even better now that you're here!"
The two then went over to Chibiusa's bed and talked just as two best friends should. As they did, Usagi and the others watched from afar, feeling happy for the two.
"You got to admit, seeing those two together is pretty cute," Harusuke said.
"You said it," smiled Rei. "Chibiusa sure looks happy."
"That's because she's got a new best friend now," Minako grinned.
"Now that I think about it, Momoko's the very first friend Chibiusa's had since coming here from the future," said Makoto. "She must have been lonely being by herself."
Ami then frowned thoughtfully. "It makes me wonder. Why is the Black Moon Clan is after her in the first place?" she wondered.
Everyone else stared and Ami blanky and tried to think of reasons why themselves, but none of them could think of any as Chibiusa and Momoko continued talking to one another, enjoying each other's company.
That night, the town of Juuban was quiet. Its people have gone home and fast asleep. However, under the covers of the dark, still night, something was happening that would soon disturb the peace of Juuban. At Juuban Park, another of Esmeraude's Dark Henges had emerged. However, it was a bright gold color unlike before and was emitting even more energy, crackling and sparking with Dark Power. Amidst this evil power, someone sprung forth from the ground, feeling pleased.
Unlike the other enemies before, this person was a dark-skinned male, long flowing light purple hair and evil green eyes. His outfit comprised a white tank top, aqua-colored pants, white shoes, and a necklace with a gold crystal bearing the black-crescent moon mark around his neck and having it on his forehead. The male stared up at the dark hedge, then with a mighty shout, he unleashed a powerful stream of Dark Power at it, infusing it as well. The Dark Henge began to grow with power, making ripples of Dark Power surge throughout the park, causing anything lush and green to wither and die.
At the same time, at the Juuban Elementary School, another Dark Henge had just been activated by another person from the Black Moon Clan. He bore strikingly similar looks to the one back at the park, but he was more fair-skinned, his tank-top was blue as well as his shoes, his pants were light purple, and the gem of his necklace was bright orange. As the gold Dark Henge grew, Esmeraude appeared, looking rather pleased.
"It appears that all is going well, Chiral," the Black Moon Clan's general said to the man. "What about your brother, Achiral?
"He has had no problems on his part, Master Esmeraude," the man identified as Chiral said. "Everything is progressing smoothly."
"Very good," Esmeraude said as she turned her gaze to the Dark Henge, taking a few steps up to it. "From now on, there will be no more elaborate confusing plans," she went on. "They're not my style, and they've resulted in nothing but failures. With this exceptionally powerful Dark Henge, we'll be able to finish this job all at once."
Esmeraude then turned around to see that Archiral, her other minion, had just appeared.
"Chiral? Achiral? I'll leave it up to two to dispose of those of Sailor Moon and those other guardians," said Esmeraude. "But I want you two to leave Solaris to me. I'll have the pleasure of dealing with him myself."
"As you command!" Chiral and Achiral said together as they went away.
"My gift to Prince Demande will be my success in this matter, as I bid this world adieu," Esmeraude thought to herself as she gazed towards the town of Juuban below, smirking with triumph as she let out her signature cackle that echoed throughout the city.
The next day, Chibiusa was running late as she sprinted to school, running as fast as her little feet could carry her, while Luna and Luna P rushed along beside her.
"Oh, man! I'm going to be late!" Chibiusa cried. "Luna, you could have helped me out by waking up a little earlier, you know!"
"I tried, but no matter how many times I did, you still wouldn't wake up!" protested Luna. "So don't go blaming me!"
Soon enough, they arrived at the Juuban Elementary School. They had barely made it through the gates when they suddenly heard a commotion. Feeling curious about where it was coming from, Chibiusa and her group went to the courtyard to investigate. When they got there, a startling sight met their eyes. In the yard, every student there was engaged in an all-out brawl. They punched, kicked, bit, and even tackled each other as if they were wild animals wanting to prove who was dominant.
Chibiusa was, at first, a bit confused. "What's everyone doing?" she wondered. "Everyone's out here playing even though the first period's already started."
"I don't think that they're playing, Chibiusa," Luna spoke warily. "All of them are fighting!"
Then Chibiusa gasped, for not too far away, she could see a young girl backed against a wall by a boy who was taller than her, itching for a fight. That girl was Momoko.
Feeling worried, Chibiusa immediately rushed over, wanting to help, but then to the surprise of both her and Luna, Momoko raised her leg and gave her attacker a sharp kick to the side of his head, knocking him flat on the ground, unconscious.
Chibiusa was amazed. "Momo, I can't believe you just did that!" she breathed. "That was awesome!"
But that didn't last long. Momo turned her attention towards Chibiusa, her eyes in a glare. "What?! You want some of this too?!" she snarled. "I can't stand you, so you better back off! Don't act like we're friends!"
Chibiusa, feeling surprised as well as a bit cross, was just about to ask why her friend was so rude when Momoko suddenly swept her leg under Chibiusa's, causing the pink ordango to fall on the ground, flat on her back. Momoko laughed and then took off, leaving Chibiusa confused, slightly bruised, and angry as well and chased after her.
Luna was puzzled. "What on earth is going on here?" she pondered. "This doesn't make any sense at all."
Then a brief flash of white light as dark rings shot into the sky before disappearing startled her.
"What the heck was what?!" Luna gasped.
"That was the glow of Dark Power," said a voice that came beside her.
Luna then jumped, feeling so startled that she almost jumped out of her fur. The voice came from Artemis, who had suddenly appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
"Artemis, when did you get here?!" Luna squawked.
"There's no time to explain," Artemis said. "We have to catch up with Chibiusa. Come on!"
The white cat then rushed into the building while Luna followed close behind.
Inside the school, the entire building was in chaos and disarray. Glass, chairs, and desks lay everywhere, and doors ripped off the classrooms' hinges. Chibiusa was shocked as she saw it in this terrible state as she looked inside her classroom.
"How awful," Chibiusa murmured. "Who on earth could have done this?"
At that moment, there was a loud Kiai sound, and from the corner of her eye, Chibiusa saw something aimed right for her head, causing her to jump back, barely being able to dodge the attack. The attack came from Momo, who held a broom, her eyes filled with intent. But unfortunately, she also wasn't alone, for the teacher, along with the rest of Chibiusa's classmates, all were carrying objects for weapons as well and were giving her the same evil intent.
Now Chibiusa was frightened. "No! Stay away!"
But Momoko and the others weren't listening as they all charged straight for her. Chibiusa having no choice, took off running, trying to get away from her possessed friends and teacher. Soon, she came to a biology classroom, shut the door behind her, and kept quiet. The girl could hear the footsteps of Momoko and the others rushing past it, but they didn't seem to notice she was in the classroom. Eventually, the sound died down, and Chibiusa realized a shaky breath, realizing she was safe. Just then, a skeleton began to rattle, causing the girl to jump with fright, but then a familiar voice came out from behind it.
"Don't worry, Chibiusa. It's just us."
Sure enough, Artemis and Luna came out from behind the skeleton, making the tension in Chibiusa's body relax as she sighed in relief.
"Don't scare me like that!" Chibiusa said as she sat down. "What is going on?"
Before either of the cats could answer, they all heard the sound of footsteps coming towards the door. Immediately, they all quickly hid from behind the classroom desk just as the door swung open. It was Momoko.
"Chibiusa?! Where are you?!" demanded Momoko.
The pink ordango and the cats didn't dare make a sound as Momoko inspected the classroom. Then when she was sure that no one was around, Momoko left, shutting the door, which prompted Chibiusa and the cats to come out of their hiding place.
"So why are Momo and the others acting that way?" Chibiusa wondered.
"Esmeraude has to be behind this," said Artemis grimly.
"Most likely," agreed Luna. "We should let Usagi and the others know what's going on." She turned to Chibiusa. "We should get out of here. It's too dangerous for you to stay here."
Chibiusa remained silent, not moving an inch. Then she spoke in a firm yet determined voice. "No. I'm not running away. I just can't run off and leave Momo and the others like this. I am scared about how they're all acting, but I'll stay and fight this."
Luna was surprised, but then she smiled kindly at Chibiusa. "Alright, then. In that case, we'll just lay low until Sailor Moon and the others show up. Artemis, you go and get the others."
"Right," said Artemis, and the white cat darted away to go get help while Luna and Chibiusa stayed behind.
It wasn't long before Artemis managed to make it to the Juuban Middle School and found Usagi, Harusuke, Makoto, and Ami. When he did, he told them all about the situation.
"You're kidding?! At Chibiusa's school?!" exclaimed Makoto.
"Yes, we all have to get there as quickly as possible!" Artemis spoke urgently. "There's no time to waste!"
Everyone nodded in agreement and was just about to leave when all of their communicators began to beep, and they heard Minako.
"Everyone! We have a situation over at Juuban Park!" Minako cried. "Please come right away!"
"Well, this spells trouble," Harusuke said grimly. "Now we've got two problems!"
"What should we do?!" wondered Usagi. "We can't be in two places at once!"
Ami knew what to do. "Mako and I will head for Juuban Park," she said. "Usagi, you and Harusuke head for Chibiusa's school and help her and her friends."
Usagi and Harusuke acknowledged Ami with a nod, then everyone took out their transformation items and sprang into action.
"MOON CRYSTAL POWER MAKE UP!"
"MERCURY STAR POWER MAKE UP!"
"JUPITER STAR POWER MAKE UP!"
"SOLAR PRISM POWER BLAZE FORTH!"
Transformation Sequence: Usagi
Usagi holds up the Crystal Star brooch as it opens, revealing the Silver Crystal inside. Usagi waved her hand on the Silver Crystal, and it flashed it a bright short burst of pink light emitting a chime. It does it a second time, and on the third, it shines brightly, enveloping Usagi in its glow. Usagi then holds the brooch above her head, suspending it in between her hands, drawing it to the center of her torso, flipping it once before placing it in the center of her chest. She then spins around a few times as the crystal begins to glow even brighter than before in pink light. She holds her hands up as a pair of wings spring forth from her back while pink ribbons come out from the crystal wrapping around Usagi's body, forming her leotard. The wings on her back disappeared as more pink ribbons wrapped around her arms and hands, creating white gloves and red boots around her calves and feet. As the blue skirt appears around her waist, one more pink ribbon ties at her back as she does a kind of spread-eagle motion with one leg up, a glowing moon symbol appearing on her forehead. Her tiara, earrings, choker, and ordango covers appear, and Usagi, now Sailor Moon, finishes with her signature pose.
Transformation Sequence: Harusuke.
Harusuke holds up his hand as the stone on his bracelet shines bright in golden light. The stone lets out three pulses, the symbol of the Sun glowing inside of it on the third pulse. Harusuke is enveloped in silver and gold light as he jumps into the air, his clothes disappearing. The symbol of the sun appears just above him and goes down, phasing through his body, making his silver jumpsuit with gold lines on the sides materialize. Two smaller sun symbols go over his feet to his kneecaps, and his gold and metal boots and silver kneecaps appear. Around his waist, a ring of light wraps around it, forming a belt with a gold belt buckle in the shape of an oval. Harusuke then spreads his arms wide as two more light rings envelop his arms and hands, making gold gloves appear. The symbol of the sun appears in front of him now, and crashes into his chest, making his chest piece like before, now thicker and having shoulder guards. Finally, a helmet materializes above Harusuke's head, the design slightly different as he reaches and grabs hit, putting it on his head, not having a mouth protector. Harusuke opens his eyes, punches his hands together, and strikes his signature pose, the symbol of the sun appearing behind him with a star-filled background.
Transformation Sequence: Ami
Ami holds up her hand as blue sparkles swirled around it, alighting her fingernails turning them into a shade of bright blue. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end and the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Ami is enveloped in blue light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as a stream of sparkling blue water begins to emit from it, forming her leotard, boots, and gloves. A sparkling ripple and a flurry of bubbles expand over her body, creating a tiny mist of water that forms the rest of her uniform, the same as Sailor Moon's, but the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves were blue and bright blue. Finally, she turns around and then strikes her signature pose.
Transformation Sequence: Makoto
Makoto's hand is held up as green sparkles swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright green. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It starts to turn around rapidly as green light envelops Makoto. As she holds up her pen while spinning around, long streams of lightning erupt from it, encircling her body, forming an atom of sorts before exploding in a brilliant flash of light. Her outfit forms, having to look just like Sailor Moon's, wearing green boots along with her pair of roses earrings, the bow is pink, and the rims of her gloves green, as is her skirt, her choker, and collar. After that, Jupiter finishes with her signature pose.
In Juuban Park, Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars were on the scene, standing just before the Dark Henge, now almost as big a small building.
"I can't believe this thing was able to materialize so suddenly before we even knew about it," Sailor Venus spoke grimly. "I guess their tactics have changed."
"They're certainly not messing around this time," agreed Sailor Mars. "We've got to get rid of this thing before things get too out of hand."
"It's no use trying to destroy it now, Sailor Guardians," said a voice behind them. "Once the Dark Henge has gotten this big, not even you have the power to destroy it."
Sailor Venus and Mars looked behind them to see that Archiral now stood before them, arms crossed and confident.
"We'll see about that!" Sailor Venus cried as she went on the attack. "VENUS LOVE-ME CHAIN!"
The Guardian of Venus fired her signature chain of hearts, but Chiral erected a wall of earth to block the attack with a mighty punch to the ground, making the chain bounce straight off it.
Sailor Mars attacked next, firing an array of fire rings. "MARS BURNING MANDALA!"
The array of rings pierced and broke through the wall of earth, but Archiral immediately jumped into the air and dodged just in time. But then a familiar voice called out.
"MERCURY SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!"
A powerful stream of water shot straight at Archiral, forcing him to teleport out of the way just in time. At that moment, Sailors Mercury and Jupiter arrived on the scene, much to Venus and Mars' relief. But rather than be worried that the numbers against him have increased, Chiral smirked in delight, chuckling.
"Well, well. It looks like you're all here," Chiral spoke. "But we'll have our showdown at the Juuban Elementary School! That way, you can all prepare yourselves as we send you all to hell! So make sure you're ready!"
And with one last laugh, Archiral teleported away, leaving the Guardians surprised by what he said.
"Juuban Elementary?!" repeated Sailor Venus worriedly.
"That's the school Chibiusa goes to!" said Sailor Mars.
"Then we'd better get over there!" said Sailor Jupiter. "Sailor Moon and Solaris are by themselves over there, and they might need help!"
Soon, Sailor Moon, Solaris, and Artemis arrived at the Juuban Elementary school. When they got there, a startling sight met their eyes. On the roof, the Dark Henge had grown to an even bigger scale and was overflowing with Dark Power.
"What is that thing?!" cried Sailor Moon.
"I don't know!" Artemis cried. "That wasn't even here a few minutes ago!"
"Whatever that thing is, Esmeraude's is behind it!" Solaris said. "We've got to find her, stop her plans, and save Chibiusa!"
The three were just about to enter the school when they heard the sound of arrogant laughter that echoed throughout the school, and just above them, Esmeraude appeared.
"Well, well. Sailor Moon and Solaris, we meet again," Esmeraude cackled.
"Esmeraude!" Sailor Moon scowled. "What have you done here?! And what did you do with Chibiusa?"
"I don't have to answer to you, you little brat," Esmeraude scowled back. "Besides, I have some business to attend to." She looked at the guardian of the sun. "Solaris, you and I have a score that needs settling, so why don't the two of us have some fun together?"
Solaris took a stance. "If your idea of fun is getting to beat the crud out of you, then I'm game," the guardian spoke. He glanced at Sailor Moon. "You and Artemis get inside and look for Chibiusa. I'll take care of Esmeraude."
"Right," Sailor Moon nodded. "Be careful."
Sailor Moon and Artemis ran inside the school while Solaris looked back at Esmeraude, taking to the air.
"I hope you've said your peace, boy because I'm pulling out all the stops today," Esmaeraude spoke with confidence. "Not even you or your flat-chested girlfriends can stop me."
"I got to admit, Esmeraude, you surprised me," said Solaris. "And here I thought that you were some dumb broad who couldn't come up with a plan like this. But at the end of the day, we'll stop you just as we always have, so I hope you're ready for another beatdown!"
Esmeraude scowled in anger. "I'm going to silence that impertinent tongue of yours for good!" she yelled. "Once I take you down, the rest of the guardians will follow, and Prince Demande will reign supreme in this world!"
"We shall see!" Solaris yelled as she shot towards Esmeraude.
Inside the school, Sailor Moon and Artemis carefully made their way, trying to find the room Chibiusa and Luna were hiding in. Soon enough, they came to the room where Chibiusa and Luna were hiding, and they peered inside looking for any sign of life, but the classroom was eerily quiet.
"That's odd," commented Artemis. "There doesn't seem to be anyone in here."
"Chibiusa? Chibiusa, are you here?" Sailor Moon whispered out. "It's me, Sailor Moon."
Then, a tiny voice called out.
"Sailor Moon?"
The Guardian of the Moon froze, her face immediately turning pale with fright. The skeleton propped against the wall suddenly moved at that moment, lunging straight at Sailor Moon and Artemis, causing the two to scream with terror. But then, there was the sound of sobbing that immediately dissipated their fear. Sailor Moon looked down and saw that hugging her and the skeleton inadvertently while crying, was Chibiusa who was relieved to see her. Sailor Moon let out a shaky breath, happy that Chibiusa was safe, but that relief would be short-lived, for right then Chiral suddenly appeared, inches away from her and his hand raised, ready to claw her eyes out.
Feeling startled as well as surprised, Sailor Moon ducked out of the way just as Chiral swiped at her. Sailor Moon, while grabbing Chibiusa by the hand, Artemis and Luna raced out of the room. However, Chiral phased through the wall and into the hallway in front of them.
"Well, well, Sailor Moon, so you've come," Chiral said. "I bid you welcome."
"Well, of course, I did! What did you expect?!" Sailor Moon snapped crossly. "And by the way, that's no way to welcome someone! You almost gave me a heart attack back there! If you think this is right, you're sadly mistaken! You're so going to pay for that, and for destroying school property too! In the name of the Moon-"
"Instead of wasting your breath, babbling," interrupted Chiral. "You'd be better off saying your prayers for your funeral."
At that moment, Chiral's twin Archiral appeared, sliding out from behind Chiral as if the two had split into two different halves. The two then lunged straight towards Sailor Moon, stretching their limbs and swiping their claws. The two managed to dodge the attacks and tried to make a break for it, but Chiral cut them off, preventing them from escaping. Then came more trouble. At that moment, some of the brainwashed children in Chibiusa's class arrived on the scene, and leading them was Momoko, much to Chibiusa's horror.
"Momo!" Chibiusa cried, trying to reason with her. "You've got to snap out of it! Momo!"
"It's no use, Chibiusa," Luna spoke gravely.
"Dark Power has contaminated her," added Artemis. "There's no way that you'll be able to get through to her."
Chibiusa was saddened to hear this, but at the same time, she felt angry because of Momoko being an innocent victim of the twins, and that made her charge straight at Chiral in rage.
"How dare you?!" Chibiusa yelled. "How dare you do this to my friend?!"
Chiral smirked and was about to attack, but then a flurry of bubbles came shooting and burst past him, blanketing the area with a thick fog. Chiral looked behind him to see that the other sailor guardians now stood before him.
"We came as you asked us to," Sailor Jupiter said.
"And we're going to put an end to your nonsense right now!" Sailor Mercury added.
Chiral smiled with confidence. "Feel free to try and stop us," he said as he teleported away, disappearing into the mist.
"He's gone!" gasped Sailor Venus.
"Stay on guard," warned Sailor Jupiter.
Sailor Mercury then went up to Sailor Moon and her group. "Are you guys OK?" she asked. "And where's Solaris?"
"We're fine, but Solaris is fighting Esmeraude outside," said Sailor Moon. "Not to mention these guys are controlling Chibiusa's friends, as Artemis said."
Sailor Mars then looked at Achiral. "Looks like your partner decided to leave you!" she taunted.
"It's all over for you!" said Sailor Mercury.
But Achiral was not intimidated. "Is that what you think? What stupid girls."
Momoko and her group then went on the attack, gunning straight towards the guardians.
"No, stop it!" Chibiusa begged, trying to reason with them again. "Don't do this, you guys!"
"Chibiusa, get back!" Sailor Mars cried, pulling her away.
Momoko and the rest of the kids all swung their weapons at the guardians, each one with the intent to hurt, and because they were innocent victims, Sailor Moon and the others couldn't fight back. All they could do was dodge as they tried their best not to hurt them. However, this was what Achiral wanted, for right then, his twin Chiral appeared just behind them, prompting him to use his powers to create a barrier of earth trapping the girls as well as the children inside. Chiral then followed up by unleashing a lightning bolt inside it, shocking everyone inside, making them cry out in pain.
Back outside, Solaris was still locked in battle with Esmeraude, using whatever he had to try and get a hit on the woman, but she would counter him on every attack and vice versa. The two seemed to be at an impasse, but then Solaris heard a collection of screams inside the school, which made him look down. Then, through the broken windows, he saw Sailor Moon and the other guardians.
"The girls!" Solaris cried. "They're in trouble!"
Solaris then swooped down to try and help, but Esmeraude suddenly appeared barring his way, unleashing a blast of energy, forcing Solaris to duck to dodge.
"I don't think so," Esmeraude smirked. "You're not going anywhere unless it's to your death!"
"Get out of my way, Esmeraude!" Solaris growled. "Don't make me hurt you!"
Esmeraude clicked her tongue while wagging her finger. "Sorry, but that's not going to happen," she said. "For I have figured out your one weakness, and that is that band of little brats you call guardians. Whenever you're around, you lot always win, but without you, they're defenseless. So you're going to stay right here and watch as Chiral and Achiral kill your little friends!"
"So basically, you plan to keep me from getting to them because you think that I'm the strongest Guardian?" Solaris asked. "That's a pretty sound argument, but there are two little flaws in your plan. The first is that you shouldn't underestimate the girls. They may not look like it, but they're stronger than you think. The second is that you shouldn't come between my friends and me. Because if you do..." Solaris' body then burst into golden light, cracking his knuckles while scowling dangerously at Esmeraude. "You're going to end up being on the receiving end of my wrath, and you ain't gonna like it when I'm mad."
Esmeraude scowled back at Solaris, her body beginning to radiate with power, too, in the form of a green and black aura. "You dare threaten me?!" she snarled. "I'll teach you to threaten one of Prince Demande's most powerful general!"
Esmeraude's earrings began to spark with power, and while throwing out her hands, she unleashed a powerful emerald beam of energy.
"VICIOUS EMERALD!"
Solaris countered by clenching his hand, making it glow in bright white light, and unleashing his own beam.
"SOLARIS NOVA FLARE!"
The two beams collided in an explosion of power, turning it into a beam of war, both sides doing whatever it took to overpower the other.
Sailor Moon and the others continued to scream in agony as they were relentlessly shocked by their enemies. As the assault continued, Chibiusa saw that her dear friend Momoko was in pain. Rather than stand by and do nothing, Chibiua rushed towards her, despite the shocks.
"Chibiusa! Come back here!" yelled Sailor Mars.
But Chibiusa didn't stop until she wrapped her arms around Momoko. At that moment, her forehead began to erupt in light, illuminating the entire hallway, ceasing Chiral and Achiral's assault. They were both amazed.
"What is that energy?!" exclaimed Chiral.
"It's the Rabbot!" gasped Achiral.
The light soon dimmed down, and Chibiusa's friends, as well as her teacher, all fell to the floor unconscious. Momoko, still awake, was stunned as Chibiusa held her in her arms, but after a second or two, her eyes slowly fluttered open as she came around.
"Momo!" Chibiusa gasped in relief. "You're OK!"
"Chibiusa? What's going on?" Momoko wondered, feeling puzzled. "And what happened to our school?"
But before Chibiusa could say anything, Achiral attacked.
"Die, Rabbit!" he yelled as he unleashed a powerful stream of lightning with the intent to kill.
The Guardians quickly rushed towards the two to try and shield them from the incoming attack, but it was coming so fast that there was no way they would make it in time. However, someone else reacted first.
"CHIBIUSA, LOOK OUT!"
Before Chibiusa could react, Momoko pushed Chibiusa out of the way just as the attack hit her. The poor girl let out a shrill cry of agony and pain as she was shocked throughout her body before falling to the ground, seemingly lifeless.
Chibiusa gazed at Momoko's body, eyes filled with horror and her mouth agape. Immediately, she flashed back to a memory. A memory of the Black Moon Clan attacking her home along with her mother, who bore a striking resemblance to a certain ordango blonde. In that memory, Chibiusa's mother saw an incoming attack shooting straight towards them and, at the last second, pushed Chibiusa out of the way just as the attack hit her, much to Chibiusa's horror.
Upon revisiting that traumatic memory, something snapped inside of Chibiusa.
"NO! ! ! ! ! ! !"
Immediately, her forehead exploded with light, shining with an even brighter and more intense glow forcing everyone to shield their eyes.
Back outside, Solaris and Esmeraude were still struggling, trying to overpower one another in an attempt to win. Then suddenly, a strong and intense light exploded from inside the building, causing the two to stop immediately, shielding their eyes.
"What is that light?!" Esmeraude demanded. "It's almost blinding!"
Solaris immediately knew what that light was. "It's Chibiusa!" he gasped. "But I don't remember the light being this intense before! So something must have happened!"
Then, he took notice of Esmeraude, shielding her eyes. Then, realizing his opportunity, he clenched his fist, conjuring a ball of light, and punched it.
"SUNSHINE METEOR!"
The attack hit its mark blasted Esmeraude out of the air, sending the woman to the ground below. No longer having obstacles in his way, Solaris quickly shot straight towards the light, hoping that his friends were safe, but it was too bright and intense even for him, forcing him to shield his eyes.
"Usagi! Chibiusa!" Solaris yelled.
While he was shielding his eyes, his prism began to react as it briefly showed a yellow crescent moon mark.
At the same time, in Prince Demande's throne room, the Malefic Black Crystal sitting above suddenly began to glow with an overwhelming light and power, surprising both Prince Demande and even the Wiseman.
Chibiusa was now overwhelmed with rage as she glared dangerously at Achiral, her ordango hair coming undone in the process.
"How dare you?! How dare you do this to Momo?!" Chibiusa yelled. "AND TO MY MOMMY! ! ! ! ! !"
The light from Chibiusa's forehead grew even brighter as it unleashed a powerful force that was enough to send both the twins flying out of the building and plummeting to the ground below.
All Sailor Moon and the other guardians could only stare at Chibiusa in bewilderment and shock as the light continued to shine brightly from her forehead. Then, after a few seconds, it began to wane until it ultimately died out, and Chibiusa collapsed from exhaustion into the arms of Sailor Venus and Sailor Mercury. At the same time, Solaris came flying through a broken window.
"What happened here?!" Solaris wondered. "And what was that bright light?!"
"That light was Chibiusa," replied Sailor Mercury. "But who could have known she had possessed that kind of power?"
Chibiusa, now feeling weak, looked towards Momoko, desperately trying to reach out to her. "M-Momo..."
Solaris went over to Momo and put two fingers to her wrist, checking her pulse. "Don't worry. She's going to be OK," he said. "Her pulse is weak, but she's still alive."
A relieved look crossed Sailor Moon's face but then changed into an angry scowl, determined for some payback. "Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, keep an eye on Chibiusa and the others," she said. "Those two are unforgivable!"
"No doubt," Solaris agreed. "Let's teach those two a lesson they'll never forget!"
Sailors Moon, Mars, Jupiter, and Solaris went outside the building and into the courtyard and looked around, trying to see where the two villains went, but they didn't see them anywhere. Then, the twins slowly came up from the ground and then pounced, catching the guardians by surprise. Luckily, Sailor Mars was quick to attack.
"MARS BURNING MANDALA!"
She fired an array of fire rings at the two, forcing them to teleport out of the way. Chiral then unleashed a blast of lightning from his hand, but Sailor Jupiter countered back with a mighty Supreme Thunder. Achiral leaped into the fray, wanting to take advantage of the guardian of thunder being distracted. However, Solaris attacked him, firing a Sunshine Meteor, which forced him to dodge the incoming ball of light. The two enemies then regrouped and were just about to attack together when a particular rose came shooting past them, catching them by surprise as the rose pierced the ground. Everyone looked up to find that Tuxedo Mask was standing on the rotating monkey bars dome.
"Turning the sacred halls of learning into a battlefield is an unforgivable act of violence!" Tuxedo Mask proclaimed. "Sailor Moon! Why don't you and your friends show these two the ABCs of true justice?"
Sailor Moon acknowledged with a nod as she took out her Cutie Moon Rod, ready to end the fight. Chiral and Achiral saw what she was up to, and both desperately tried to get away using their powers to slip into the ground. But Sailor Jupiter clapped her hands together, making them spark and crackle with electricity.
"JUPITER SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!"
This time, however, instead of throwing a disc of lightning, Sailor Jupiter slamming her fist into the ground unleashed a tremendous shockwave of electricity at the two, preventing the two from escaping. The two screamed in agony as the lightning shocked their bodies, paralyzing them. Solaris jumped in too.
"SOLAR BINDING!"
He fired a beam of light from each of his hands, the beams wrapping around the twins binding them tightly around their middles. Then, Sailor Moon seizing her chance, delivered the finishing blow.
"MOON PRINCESS HALATION!"
With a powerful blast from her Cutie Moon Rod, Achiral and Chiral were destroyed, in an explosion of light, and because of the twins being no more, the Dark Henge above the school, as well as the one in Juuban Park, were destroyed as well, shattering into a million pieces.
"All right! We did it!" cheered Sailor Moon.
"Good work, everyone!" congratulated Solaris.
Then, Esmeraude appeared just above them, her face twisted in an angry, spiteful snarl.
"Guess your big plan didn't pan out, after all, Esmeraude," Solaris sneered with a grin. "I hate to be the one that said I told you so, but I told you so."
Esmeraude shook with fury and was so angry that she broke her fan in half. "I've had just about enough of you brats foiling my plans!" she snapped with rage as her body began to radiate with black energy. "Now that it's come to this, I'll crush the lot of you myself!"
But before Esmeraude could even begin to fight, she heard a voice inside her head.
"Esmeraude! Hold on!"
The Black Moon Clan general immediately stopped upon hearing the voice and was so surprised that her aura dissipated instantly. It was Prince Demande.
"But Prince Demande, why are you stopping me?" Esmeraude asked.
"There's been a change of plans," Prince Demande's voice said. "I need you to come back as soon as possible."
"But I was just about to take care of-" Esmeraude began to protest.
"That is an order!" Prince Demande interrupted firmly. "Return at once!"
Esmeraude was upset, but she didn't want to disobey an order from Prince Demande, so she had no choice but to retreat.
"Consider yourselves lucky, Guardians," Esmeraude spoke to her enemies. "Just because I got called back doesn't mean you won! Once we put our minds to things, you brats won't get off this easily! I will be back!"
And with a haughty laugh escaping from her mouth, Esmeraude disappeared.
Back in the throne room, Prince Demande and the Wiseman were inspecting the Malefic Black Crystal, which had now returned to normal.
"The Rabbit displayed a kind of power we've never seen before," said the Wiseman. "Now that we know what she is capable of, it would be a pity to destroy her."
"Interesting," Prince Demande hummed. "Did you have something in mind for her?"
The Wiseman remained silent, not saying another word. As the two continued their council, they didn't know that Saphir was listening from behind a pillar and didn't like what he heard. Not one little bit.
After the chaos, Usagi and the others went to see Momoko at the hospital. Momoko was a bit weak and burned, but she would make a full recovery. Chibiusa was in particular relieved that her friend was OK. After that, the pink ordango called everyone to the rooftop.
Chibiusa stood there in silence as she stared into the sunset until she finally turned towards Usagi and her friends. "I'm going to the future," she said quietly. "I have to go back if I have to go save my mommy."
Usagi and the others were surprised.
"But how are you going to that?" asked Usagi.
Chibiusa then dug into her shirt and took out her key. "By using this Space-Time key," she said. "I wasn't able to make it work before, but I bet it'll work now. I don't want anyone else I care about to get hurt anymore, not after what happened to my mommy. But I need your help. I can't save her on my own, so - please help me, everyone. Help me rescue, my mommy."
Now, everyone was silent, staring at the little girl as she made her request.
Then, Harusuke walked up to Chibiusa and got down onto one knee so that he was at eye level with her. "Chibiusa, we'll go with you," he said. "All of us."
Usagi and the others each concurred with a nod.
"Yeah. We'll all go together to save your mom," agreed Makoto.
"We're all prepared to do this," said Rei.
"Yeah! Count me in!" Minako chimed in.
"I shall go as well," Ami said. "Unless we go to the future, we'll never know what our enemy's real goal is."
"But wait... You all make it sound so simple!" Luna protested.
"It might be too risky to go," added Artemis. "This isn't anything like with Queen Beryl, you know."
"It doesn't matter," Usagi said with a determined smile. "All of us have already made up our minds to go, and nothing's going to stop us. Not even the Black Moon Clan."
"Yeah. Besides, this is for Chibiusa!" Harusuke said. "And we ain't gonna stop until her mother's safe." He turned to Chibiusa. "We're with you all the way, kiddo! Just lead the way, and we'll kick some Black Moon Clan butt!"
Chibiusa was overjoyed. "Thank you, Everyone!" she said gratefully.
Now filled with confidence and courage, Chibiusa looked back towards the sky.
"I know that it's my fault that you're in trouble," the pink ordango thought to herself. "But don't worry, Mommy! I'm coming to save you! We all are!"
