Sailor Moon and her group still couldn't believe their eyes for what they were seeing, everyone except for Chibiusa. This sight was nothing new for her, considering that she had seen this first-hand time and time again and even seen this in her nightmares, but she couldn't help feeling all the more frantic and worried for her mother, who was somewhere in all this destruction.
"I don't believe this," Solaris murmured. "This is supposed to be the future? What on Earth happened here?"
"I don't know," said Sailor Jupiter. "It seems like almost the whole city covered in ice."
"And where are the people?" wondered Sailor Venus. "Is there... anyone even alive out there?"
No one could answer. Then suddenly, Chibiusa took off running as fast as her little legs could carry her. "Mommy!" she cried. "I'm coming, Mommy!"
"Chibiusa?! Where are you going?!" cried Sailor Moon. "Come back!"
"It's too dangerous out there!" Tuxedo Mask yelled. "Don't go running off on your own!"
But it was no use. Chibiusa had already disappeared into the distance, leaving the Guardians and Tuxedo Mask behind.
"Quick! After her!" Solaris yelled.
The group then took off, charging into the dense fog in hot pursuit. As they ran, a thick fog blanketed the area obscuring their vision and making it difficult to see where they were. However, they soon found themselves on an avenue that looked very reminiscent of a particular location.
"Where could she have gone off too?" panted Sailor Mars as she glanced around.
"I wish I knew," said Sailor Moon. "Honestly, she can be such a handful."
As everyone stopped to look around, trying to find any sign of Chibiusa, they noticed something ahead of them. Coming towards them was a shadow of a figure in the mist. The Guardians were immediately on guard as it drew closer, thinking it was an enemy.
"Who are you?!" demanded Sailor Moon.
The figure didn't respond as it kept walking towards them. Solaris and Sailor Mars took their stances, ready to fight, but Tuxedo Mask squinted, and when he realized who the figure was, he stopped them with a touch from each other's shoulders.
"Hold on a minute," Tuxedo Mask spoke quietly. "That's..."
The figure soon came out of the fog, and when everyone saw who it was, their eyes went wide with shock and disbelief. A young man was wearing a white tux with a cape matching color and holding a long white wand. Most of all, he bore a striking resemblance to another masked man in their group, having short black hair, blue eyes, and a pair of white masquerade glasses.
"No way!" gasped Sailor Moon. "Tuxedo Mask?! But how can that be?! Tuxedo Mask is right here with us!"
"Calm down, Sailor Moon," warned Solaris. "It could be a fake Tuxedo Mask, so look alive!"
The white Tuxedo Mask walked closer until he stopped just a few feet in front of them. The masked man stared at them for a few seconds; then, he gave a warm and kind smile.
"I welcome all of you to the Crystal Tokyo of the thirtieth century," the white Tuxedo Mask said. "I'm so glad that all of you made it."
The moment he spoke, Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, and Solaris all gasped with disbelief remembering.
"Th-That voice!" murmured Tuxedo Mask.
"That's the same voice Mamo, and I heard in our nightmares!" Sailor Moon cried. "So you're the person who made that doomsday prediction!"
"And the voice I heard when I reawakened my powers!" Solaris said. "Who the heck are you?!"
"Calm down, please," the white Tuxedo Mask said calmly. "I have no intention of fighting you. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't do much of anything in my current state. As for who I am, I'm surprised that you haven't figured it out yet." He paused as he looked particularly at Tuxedo Mask. "I am King Endymion, your future self, Mamoru Chiba."
Sailor Moon and the others were even more surprised, Tuxedo Mask, especially.
"Wait... you're me?! From the future?" Tuxedo Mask repeated.
"No way! Mamoru's going to turn into this guy?" Sailor Venus spoke. "That's crazy."
Sailor Moon was more angry than surprised. "Hold on just a minute!" she interjected as she stomped over to him. "If you're who you say you are, then why did you keep showing up in our dreams telling us to end our relationship?!"
"Yeah! You owe us some answers!" Solaris added, stomping over to him. "So you better start talking or else-"
Solaris made for King Endymion's collar wanting to reap him a new one, but as he did, his hand went straight through him, causing him to pull back his hand in surprise.
"Calm down, Solaris," Sailor Mercury spoke calmly. "I don't think that this one is real as if he's not here."
"You are correct, Sailor Mercury," said King Endymion. "What you're seeing right now is an astral projection, while my real body is somewhere else."
"So, you're like a hologram," said Sailor Mars.
"I'm sure you all have a lot of questions that need answering," King Endymion went on as he turned, walking away. "So, please, follow me, and I'll explain everything."
"But wait a minute! What about Chibiusa?!" called out Sailor Moon. "She's still out there, and we have to find her!"
King Endymion looked back. "Don't worry. I have her in a safe place," he said. "Now, please, come. It's not safe out here."
Sailor Moon and the others watched as King Endymion went ahead, unsure what to do or make of all this.
"So what should we do?" asked Sailor Venus. "Should we follow him?"
"This isn't the time to be indecisive," Sailor Jupiter spoke firmly. "I say we follow him."
"Yeah. Let's go," agreed Sailor Venus.
Sailor Moon looked across to her brother Solaris, and he looked at her back. Then Solaris gave Sailor Moon a nod, and she nodded back, and they all followed King Endymion walking along the avenue through the thick fog.
Meanwhile, Prince Demande, Saphir, and Esmeraude watched the Guardians via a projection in the Black Moon Clan's headquarters.
"No! They made it to Crystal Tokyo!" Saphir spoke, clenching his fists. "How did they get through the Space-Time corridor?!"
Prince Demande didn't answer, his gaze fixed solely on Sailor Moon. As he stared at her, he couldn't help feeling entranced by the girl once again, also thinking about how eerily similar to a woman he loved, a woman with golden hair in odango in a white dress.
"She looks just like her," Prince Demande thought to himself. "Neo Queen Serenity, the all-powerful goddess of Crystal Tokyo. When I laid eyes on her, I knew that she was the exact woman I wanted. Sailor Moon's the same as the one who sleeps in the Crystal Palace."
Saphir and Esmeraude could see the look in Prince Demande's eyes, and neither one of them was happy about it. Esmeraude was especially mad as her teeth ground with jealousy while trying not to yell.
"I knew it!" Esmeraude angrily thought. "Prince Demande is interested in Sailor Moon as I suspected!"
Saphir then glared at Esmeraude. "You were supposed to make sure the Guardians never reached Crystal Tokyo, Esmeraude!" he snapped crossly. "Now, because of you, they're here!"
Esmeraude clicked her tongue, knowing that Saphir was right. "No matter! I'll go crush them all right now!"
"That won't be necessary," Prince Demande interjected. "I'll go. While I'm doing that, Saphir, Esmeraude, you two will find the Rabbit."
"But Brother...!" protested Saphir.
But it was too late. Prince Demande had already disappeared. Esmeraude was now even more jealous and angry, so much so that she threw her fan at the projection causing it to short out and dissipate.
"Sailor Moon is going to pay for this!" Esmeraude thought as she seethed. "I'm going to make her pay for stealing my prince's heart!"
It wasn't long before King Endymion led Sailor Moon and her group to the Crystal Palace, in a large room with smooth walls and floors and high ceilings, with a stained glass window.
"We should be safe here," King Endymion said. "The enemy's powers cannot reach us here."
"But, where's Chibiusa?" Sailor Moon asked. "Is she alright?"
"Don't worry. You'll see Small Lady shortly," replied King Endymion. "But first, I need you all to listen to what I have to say, so pay attention to what I'm about to tell you."
King Endymion then gave his scepter two taps to the floor, and it began to glow, illuminating the entire room in white. Also, a projection of Earth floating in space appeared above their heads, causing everyone to look up, the Earth gray and lifeless.
"It all began centuries ago when a great calamity fell upon this world. As a result, the Earth fell into an ice age and remained that way for a very long time," King Endymion said. "Then, in the thirtieth century, the Earth reawakened thanks to Neo-Queen Serenity and the power of the Silver Crystal."
At that moment, a pink comet came shooting by the Earth, releasing a trail of sparkles that restored the Earth to its natural beauty and color. Then, Sailor Moon and the others saw the town of Crystal Tokyo, but unlike what it currently looked like outside, it was thriving and looked more colorful with not a single thing out of place.
"And so, with Neo Queen Serenity as its monarch, the world sparkled with life once again," continued King Endymion. "And the city of the future, Crystal Tokyo, began to prosper. But then, a new enemy appeared, wanting nothing more than to conquer our peaceful world."
The projection then showed them a giant war with King Endymion and a few other warriors fighting valiantly. Next, they saw the Earth once again, only this time, something came shooting out from it, which represented the enemy the king spoke of until it disappeared into the distance.
"After many fierce battles, we've finally managed to suppress this threat, but rather than be cleansed by the Silver Crystal, many of these malcontents fled, journeying into deep reaches of space. As a result, crystal Tokyo grew more prosperous and continued living in peace until Planet Nemesis interfered with our happy existence."
"Planet Nemesis?" repeated Sailor Jupiter.
"I've never heard of such a thing," said Sailor Mercury.
The projection now showed them an unknown planet floating in space that appeared small, about the size of a moon, and was colored green.
"I wouldn't expect you to because it's the tenth planet in our Solar System. This mysterious planet has an unpredictable orbit, and we've only been able to prove its existence recently," explained King Endymion. "We were able to find it due to confirming massive outpours of negative energy from its suspended location."
"Could that have been the planet where the evil people who fled from Earth ended up?" wondered Artemis.
"Correct, Artemis," replied King Endymion. "Regrettably, unbeknownst to us, the inhabitants of Nemesis have evolved into beings that possessed unique superpowers."
"The Black Moon Clan," Solaris spoke grimly.
"Yes, and they returned to our Crystal Tokyo for revenge," King Endymion said, who was now looking grim as well. "Without warning, they launched a full-scale attack, unleashing their planet's negative energy, which completely neutralized our forces."
The projection showed them Crystal Tokyo once again, only this time, numerous spirals of negative energy came pouring from the sky, enveloping the place with explosions on contact and filling the once-prosperous town with death and destruction. At the same time, numerous ships like the one Rubeus controlled came shooting down from the sky, firing lasers all around. Soon enough, the town was in the same state as when Sailor Moon and the others first saw it. A desolate icy wasteland of destruction.
"Many of our forces fell, leaving only the Crystal Palace during this vicious onslaught intact, and soon, a death-like quiet came over the planet. However, as we stand here, the four Guardian deities, Sailors Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus, are projecting a barrier around the palace using their life energy to protect this place from the enemy."
They now could see a separate room where a pillar of light in the middle was shining brightly, while four particular Guardians stood in a circle.
"Wait, those Guardians!" Sailor Mars gasped. "They must be -!"
"That's right, Mars. Those are your future selves," nodded King Endymion. "And it wasn't just them who were fighting to protect our kingdom."
The projection then showed them the outside of the palace again, where the swarm of ships came shooting straight for it. Then, a golden comet came shooting out towards them, blowing by a fourth and destroying them in a matter of seconds. After that, the light dimmed, revealing a young man with blonde hair wearing golden armor and wielding a large sword and shield.
"Who is that?" wondered Sailor Venus. "Could that be..."
"That is the warrior known throughout Crystal Tokyo as Taiyou," King Endymion said. "Out of all the Guardians, he fought and defeated countless enemies all on his own through sheer willpower and determination. That warrior is the future version of Solaris."
"No way!" gasped Solaris. "That's the future me?! Is he still fighting right now?"
"I'm afraid I don't know for sure," King Endymion said sadly. "For at some point in the battle, Taiyou mysteriously disappeared without a trace. I've looked for him everywhere, but there's still no sign of him. And because of the Black Moon Clan's evil power, many people remain in a state of a deep sleep, and our city seems doomed to destruction. I've also been severely wounded and am no longer able to move." He frowned in frustration, clenching his rod tightly. "The only thing that can restore this city to its former glory is the Legendary Silver Crystal. However, only Neo Queen Serenity can use it, yet she is still in a deep slumber, so unless she's awakened, there's not much hope left for our world."
"Wait a second. Did you just say that only the queen can use the Silver Crystal?" Sailor Moon asked, realizing something. "But then... that means..."
King Endymion then smiled. "Yes, Sailor Moon. Neo Queen Serenity is your future self."
Sailor Moon's jaw practically dropped to the floor, and she was so surprised; her hair almost stood up on end. "No way! How can I be Neo Queen Serenity of the thirtieth century?!"
The projection then showed an image of Neo Queen Serenity, sleeping peacefully on a bed encased with a crystal-like barrier. Sure enough, Neo Queen Serenity was Sailor Moon, albeit an older, elegant, and divine version of her.
"No way... it's Sailor Moon," Solaris spoke with amazement. "But... it feels like I'm looking at a different person."
"That strange crystal that's surrounding her body. What is that?" wondered Sailor Mercury curiously.
"It seems as though the Silver Crystal expanded around her body as a defense mechanism," suggested Luna. "But that only happens unless she's in great danger."
"King Endymion, do you know what could have happened to make the crystal do this?" asked Artemis.
"That I do not know," replied King Endymion. "The queen rarely leaves the palace, but for some reason, she did one day. She looked flustered and ran out as if she was in a panic. And as Luna surmised when the enemy attacked, the Silver Crystal immediately engulfed the queen's body to protect her. Ever since then, the queen has been in a deep sleep."
The projection faded away, and a door opened in the middle of the floor. From that door, a bed slowly rose, and on that bed was a certain little girl with pink odango hair, much to everyone's relief.
"Chibiusa!" Sailor Moon cried as she rushed over to the girl, scooping her up in her arms. "So, this is where you've been."
"Thank goodness," said Solaris.
"Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, there's one other thing you two should know," King Endymion went on. "That girl, Small Lady, is your future daughter."
Everyone stared at King Endymion, and after a few seconds, everyone let out a giant scream in shock.
"WHAT?!"
"Chibiusa's is my and Mamoru's daughter!?" exclaimed Sailor Moon. "Wait! Then that means - Mamo and me...!"
Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask looked at each other and then back at Chibiusa a few times. Then their faces grew as red as cherries while steam erupted from both of their heads. The others couldn't believe it either.
"So Chibiusa is..." began Sailor Jupiter.
"... Sailor Moon's child?" finished Sailor Mercury incredulously.
"And Tuxedo Mask is her father?" Sailor Venus asked.
"So when and where did this happen?!" Sailor Mars demanded. "What year, month, and day?!"
At first, Solaris stood there motionless, processing everything he had just heard. Then without any warning, his helmet erupted with steam as he lunged over at Tuxedo Mask, grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him like a ragdoll.
"Mamoru! Explain yourself right now!" Solaris shrieked with embarrassment. "How in the hell could you do that to my sister like that, huh?! I know the two of you are in love and junk, but there's a time and a place to do that kind of thing! Whatever happened to wait until you were older, huh?! Don't you have any sense of decency?!"
"Solaris, take it easy!" Sailor Jupiter cried as she tried to pull him back. "Calm down, would you?!"
"How can you expect me to be calm?!" Solaris flusteredly cried. "I just found out that my sister's been doing the hanky panky with my best friend and had a kid in the future!" Then Solaris stopped realizing something that made his eyes go wide. "Wait a sec! If Usagi's Chibiusa's mom, and Mamoru's Chibiusa's dad, then that means I'm Chibiusa's uncle!"
King Endymion stared at Solaris blankly. Then, he burst into a fit of laughter, causing everyone to look at him.
"That's the same reaction your future self had when he found out," King Endymion chuckled. "Forgive me, but seeing you act so shocked sure brings back memories, Solaris."
Solaris immediately calmed down, letting go of Tuxedo Mask. "Who? Me?" he asked.
"Yes. You were always a bit overprotective of the queen, Solaris," King Endymion said. "When she was pregnant, you made sure to keep a close eye on her, no matter how ridiculous you were. Not only that, but when Chibiusa was born, you would always spend time with her, teaching her things and even telling her stories. Chibiusa liked you so much; she would call you her "Uncle Sunny."
"U-Uncle Sunny?" repeated Solaris, his cheeks growing pink a bit.
"That's actually kind of cute," said Sailor Venus with a smile.
"Anyway, please forgive her for all the times that she was rude," King Endymion apologized. "She was just desperate. After all, I would often tell her stories of my youth and about Sailor Moon, the legendary invincible Guardian. That was most likely where she got the idea to go back into the past to seek out your help. The Black Moon Clan's objective is to defeat us here and steal the Legendary Silver Crystal to take over the entire world. Once they knew they could not bring down our Crystal Palace, they tried to destroy the world of the past, your world."
"That makes sense!" Luna gasped. "If they succeeded in doing so..."
"Then, Crystal Tokyo would get destroyed too!" finished Artemis.
"Precisely. Which is why you must protect your world at all costs," King Endymion spoke firmly. He looked at the blonde sailor guardian and his past self. "Sailor Moon. Tuxedo Mask. I am aware that I exposed you two to frightening nightmares and images, so I understand that you're both upset at me. But to win this battle, to stand strong against enemies like the Black Moon Clan, I had to test your bonds so I could be sure that the one you two shared would be unbreakable and strong. One that is unwavering, faithful, and remains strong and constant no matter what happens. Unless you two have this kind of bond, you will never be able to overcome the Black Moon Clan."
"A strong and unwavering bond?" repeated Sailor Moon.
King Endymion nodded. He then looked over at the Guardian of Sun. "As for you, Solaris, I've had extensive knowledge of your abilities thanks to Taiyou, which was why I've been speaking to you about how to use them, including the ability Luna dubbed Unison Fusion."
"You do?" Solaris asked.
"Yes. Taiyou was the one who developed and discovered the ability," went on Tuxedo Mask. "As clichéd as it sounds, he found that to tap into that power, he had to have powerful bonds with the Guardians, including Sailor Moon. Once he mastered this ability, he not only grew stronger but gained some of the Guardians abilities and elements as well."
"Yeah. We figured that out a while back," Solaris said as it looked at his prism. "So, do you have any idea how I can use Unison Fusion again? I've been trying but haven't had much luck."
"Just remember to believe in your bonds with your friends and family," King Endymion said. "Once those bonds are strong enough, the Unison Fusion will appear to you again, and you'll become stronger than you ever thought possible." He then walked up to Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, caressing Chibiusa's cheek as she slept despite being astral. "Sailor Moon. Tuxedo Mask. I ask you to please keep Small Lady safe for me. In my current condition, I'm unable to stay with her, much less protect her."
"Don't worry. I swear, I will!" Tuxedo Mask spoke with determination. "I'll protect this girl with my life!"
King Endymion looked at his past self and smiled. "You know, it's strange speaking to myself in the past like this. Thank you, and please look after my daughter."
Then, after giving one more smile, King Endymion disappeared, his astral projection fading away. But then, before Sailor Moon and the others could wonder what happened to the king, a powerful gust of black wind came blowing through the room catching everyone by surprise.
"So this is where you've been hiding," said an unfamiliar voice from above. "Too bad it won't do you any good."
Everyone looked up and was shocked to see that someone had now appeared in the room, hovering near the ceiling. That someone was Prince Demande.
Sailor Moon glared at him, standing her ground as she held Chibiusa tightly, ready to protect her. "Who are you?!" she demanded.
Prince Demande frowned as he stared at Sailor Moon back, admiring the look she had on her face. "Those eyes of hers... They're the same as the ones that looked at me way back then. Those beautiful eyes..."
Then the black crescent moon mark in the middle of his forehead suddenly changed into a third eye, releasing a strange, intense wave of energy that froze everyone on the spot, feeling themselves growing weaker.
"Wh-What's going on?!" Sailor Mars gasped as her legs began to buckle.
"Sunshine-" Solaris began to say, but he couldn't finish his sentence as he fell to his knees.
"It's... no use!" Sailor Jupiter moaned. "He's... draining our power!"
Prince Demande then chuckled as he kept his gaze on Sailor Moon. Then, Sailor Moon started floating off the ground and straight towards Prince Demande. Thinking quickly, Tuxedo Mask dug into his suit, took out his cane, and threw it with all his strength. As it spun in the air like a boomerang towards the evil prince's head, Demande up his arm to defend himself, making him lose his concentration.
Sailor Moon then stopped hovering, but because of her gravity returning to normal, she accidentally dropped Chibiusa, while Prince Demande grabbed hold of her arm, preventing her from falling. Luckily, Tuxedo Mask caught Chibiusa just in the knick of time before she hit the ground. Solaris then jumped into the air letting out a yell as he gunned straight for Prince Demande, only for him to activate his third eye again, releasing an attack that sent him slamming to the floor while everyone else had their energies drained once more. Sailor Moon struggled to get free to help her friends, but Prince Demande kept a firm hold of her while using his power to paralyze her.
"I was hoping to capture both of you at once," Prince Demande said to Sailor Moon. "But at least I have you, my real prize."
And in a brilliant flash of pink light, Prince Demande, along with Sailor Moon, disappeared.
"No! Usako!" Tuxedo Mask cried
"Sailor Moon!" the Guardians also yelled.
"That monster took my sister!" Solaris shouted. "We've got to go after her!"
"Please take of Chibiusa!" Tuxedo Mask said the guardians as he handed Chibiusa over to Sailor Mars. "Solaris, let's go!"
But before they could even leave the room, the projection of King Endymion appeared again.
"Don't panic, you two," King Endymion spoke calmly. "I have a good idea of where the enemy's headed."
"Then tell us where!" Solaris snapped. "We've got to hurry and rescue Usagi before that guy does anything to her!"
King Endymion waved his hand, and the projection appeared again. This time it showed a strange and giant cluster of black crystal which seemed to be as big as the Crystal Palace itself.
"What's that?!" wondered Luna.
"That is the black monolith," King Endymion explained. "It's where the Black Moon Clan has made their base. So if there's anyplace that man could have taken Sailor Moon, it would be there."
"Then let's go!" Tuxedo Mask said. "Solaris, you're with me!"
"Right!" Solaris nodded.
The two boys then ran out of the room, leaving the Guardians and the king behind. When they got outside, Solaris took off into the air and held his hand to Tuxedo Mask.
"Take my hand," Solaris called out. "I'll give you a lift."
"No need for that," Tuxedo Mask replied, shaking his head. "I got this one."
Tuxedo Mask's cape suddenly billowed, and from underneath it, a large glider came out, much to Solaris' surprise. Tuxedo Mask then got a running start, and with a jump, took to the air flying high above the sky. Solaris couldn't help but feel impressed as he followed after him.
"Man, this guy's just full of surprises," Solaris said to himself.
When Usagi woke up, she found herself lying in a bed in a room that was entirely sleek and black like glass. Her head was pounding, and her body felt sluggish like a snail's.
"My head hurts so much," Usagi thought. "What happened to me? I feel like I have no strength at all."
As she sat up, Usagi found that instead of her usual outfit or even Sailor Moon. Instead, she wore an aqua-colored dress with gold designs around the bosom, pearl straps on her shoulders, and four wings on her back.
"What the heck?!" Usagi exclaimed. "Why am I dressed like this? Or rather, who dressed me like this?!" Then she gasped, realizing that a particular item was not on her person. "My brooch! Where is my brooch?!"
The odango blonde felt around the bed, trying to find her brooch until she found it sitting next to her. As she looked around, trying to find where she was, her eyes fell upon the doorway of the room. Standing in that doorway was Prince Demande.
"You were all that I thought you'd be," Prince Demande spoke with an amused grin. "You took the full brunt of the power of the Malefic Black Crystal in my attack, yet here you are already awake. However, you may find this castle a bit unpleasant."
"Just who are you?" demanded Usagi, trying to stay brave.
"I am Prince Dimande," the silver-haired man replied. "And I welcome you to our forward operating base, Sailor Moon. Or should "Neo-Queen Serenity of the future" be more appropriate? Now then, let's have a nice relaxing talk."
The prince then raised his hand, and Usagi's body went rigid as she began to float into the air. Finally, knowing that she had no other options, Usagi raised her brooch into the air.
"MOON CRYSTAL POWER MAKE UP!"
But nothing happened, much to her surprise and disbelief.
Prince Demande then hovered just in front of her. "The Legendary Silver Crystal power is useless against the power of the Malefic Black Crystal," he told her. "This entire chamber is filled with the power of the Malefic Black Crystal, which absorbs any kind of power, including the Legendary Silver Crystal."
The prince then reached out, attempting to caress Usagi's cheek, but ever still being defiant, Usagi slapped his hand away, glaring in anger.
But Prince Demande was still smiling. "Those eyes... The eyes of Neo Queen Serenity," he murmured in wonder.
He then used his powers to make Usagi's body rigid even more, rendering her unable to move or fight back as he got close, gently pinching the odango's chin as he chuckled.
"I made this room just for you, Sailor Moon," Prince Demande whispered. "It will be your resting place for all eternity."
"Then, tell me why!" Usagi choked out, swallowing her disgust. "Why did you single out our Earth and are attacking it?!"
"Since I have the Malefic Black Crystal, I can control all space, energy, and time," Prince Demande answered. "Thanks to that, I can rule any planet or dimension I want, and I plan to rule you and the Earth forever. Whoever possesses absolute power will lay claim to this planet, as it should be."
"Your way of thinking is twisted and wrong!" Usagi spoke as she tried to resist.
Prince Demande chuckled as his crescent mark once again turned into a third eye. His third eye began to release the same energy from before, making Usagi feel weak once more as her body froze up.
"Yes, my Neo Queen Serenity," Prince Demande cooed. "I'll do whatever it takes to make you mine, and now at long last, you belong to me."
The evil prince then started to lean in about to kiss Usagi, much to the girl's horror. She wanted to push him away, but her body refused to move. She tried to scream, but her lips remained frozen as Prince Demande's inched closer and closer to hers.
"No! Please! I don't want this!" Usagi desperately cried internally. "I'm afraid. I can't transform, and I'm all alone! Someone! Help me! Someone other than Mamo is about to kiss me!"
Usagi's eyes began to well up with tears as the impending kiss seemed imminent. But suddenly, a window from above shattered, and a single rose shot just in between them, causing Prince Demande to let go of Usagi in surprise. Usagi fell, landing safely on the bed as Prince Demande looked up, as did Usagi. Standing there, glaring menacingly at Prince Demande, was Tuxedo Mask and Solaris, much to Usagi's relief.
"Tuxedo Mask! Solaris!" Usagi cried.
"How dare you use your evil depravity and demented power to force yourself on a woman?!" Tuxedo Mask scowled. "You nothing more but a coward!"
"Silence, you self-righteous prick!" Prince Demande yelled as he started to use his third eye to attack.
However, Solaris shot towards him in a quick jump and swung with a mighty punch, forcing the prince to jump back to dodge as it hit the floor. When it did, it shuddered and shook, the impact causing it to crack and crumble. As Solaris straightened up, he glared dangerously at Prince Demande, the intent to kill showing in his eyes.
"You just made two big mistakes, you monster," Solaris spoke coldly, his hands balled tightly into fists. "The first was kidnapping my sister, and that was bad enough, but the second mistake was trying to force yourself on her. That is a mistake I can't nor will I ever stand for! And for that, I INTEND TO MAKE YOU PAY!"
At that moment, Solaris' body began to glow in an intensely bright light that shone throughout the room, causing everyone to shield their eyes.
"What is this power?!" Prince Demande wondered. "And how is he generating this much?! His energy should be draining right now!"
Solaris clenched his fist and aimed while Tuxedo Mask extended his cane towards Usagi. Usagi grabbed hold of it, and Tuxedo Mask quickly retracted it, pulling her up. Prince Demande saw this and was about to attack once more, but Solaris promptly rushed towards him and gave him a powerful punch with his left hand, sending the prince smack into a pillar hard and then unleashed an attack with his right hand.
"SOLARIS ARROW OF SOUL!"
Solaris unleashed a powerful blast of flames with a mighty roar, the attack more intense than before. Prince Demande looked up in time to see the attack shooting straight towards him. The attack connected, creating a powerful explosion that shook throughout the entire castle.
"Solaris! Let's go!" Tuxedo Mask yelled. "I got Usako!"
Solaris then took to the air and followed Tuxedo Mask while he carried Usagi, escaping through the hole they made. As they made their getaway, Prince Demande managed to recover and saw them and was about to use his eye to stop them, but that same gust of black wind came billowing about, blinding him.
"What's going on here?!" Prince Demande grunted as he tried to see. "Come back here!"
As the three flew away from the base, shrinking into the distance, Esmeraude watched them leave, not even lifting a finger to stop them.
Saphir then appeared. "Esmeraude, I hope you weren't responsible for interfering with my brother and allowing them to escape!" he spoke, scowling.
Esmeraude then sly smirked as she hid from behind her fan. "Me? Let the enemy escape?" she repeated coolly. "And what would make you think I would do such a thing?"
"Women can be frightening creatures when they're jealous, capable of doing anything once they get swallowed by it," Saphir replied. "Maybe in that strange mind of yours, you're happy that Sailor Moon got away from my brother."
Esmeraude then laughed. "I have pledged my loyalty to Prince Demande," she said. "And I don't intend to switch sides, Saphir."
Saphir then snidely smiled. "Please, I know you, and I know exactly how you feel," he said. "I despise Sailor Moon just as much as you and would like nothing more than to see her gone."
Esmeraude was surprised, but then a sly smile reappeared on her face as she chuckled. "Then I guess we're birds of a feather, aren't we?"
It wasn't long before Usagi, Tuxedo Mask, and Solaris made it back to the palace grounds safe and sound. Tuxedo Mask and Usagi took this opportunity to spend some time together before heading back to the palace.
"Oh, Tuxedo Mask," Usagi sighed with relief as she hugged her lover. "You and Solaris saved me. Thank you so much."
"Remember what King Endymion said," Tuxedo Mask said. "We must conquer this battle with our love."
Usagi agreed with a nod. "Yes. No matter what happens, we are one," she said.
The two then got close and shared a loving and passionate kiss as the cold, snowy wind gently blew, while Solaris stood a few feet away from afar, trying not to see.
