A/N: Yo you all got me back for another round. Dudes it's been too long I know. But a lot has happened. As of now I have one main commission. A one shot commission and all my open stories. I'm trying to update regularly each month. But some months I just need a break to play video games for a while. So dudes if it seems like I'm taking too long. Lets listen in on how wild our Witchers life is getting.
OOO Alan's POV
Arcing my broadsword I slice into a blood creatures arm and torso. It's goop like blood spills across the stone road but I sense another rushing my flank. Turning from my position I lop off its head with ease.
Looking around the room I nod seeing the five remaining wizard cops exhaling heavily. All of them are exhausted and running on a thin line of mana. But they can't be faulted they are trained to fight other magic users not beasts.
One wizard cop taps the door. The battered door slowly opens several servants peaking out from within. All clearly frightened but we held our position until we know it is safe to move them.
As the cop exchanges words another cop he expresses how a team along the front entrance has managed to kill a good few of these beasts. But our attention turns upwards as more explosion rock the ceiling. I smirk saying "Merten's no doubt show off again. One day he's going to..."
Before I can finish my communications eyepiece pings showing 'Merten's heart rate failing'... Three times in those thirty seconds I see the same words. And the vital signature of a flat line...
Turning to the wizard cops I shout, "My friend he's dying, contact Billy and tell him to get here now!" Doing as I say I scream for someone to show me to the dinning room.
Rushing up the stairs with three wizard cops we get to the room. Heavy debris is blocking the doorframe but I charge into it. With a cloud of dust and splinters I enter the room. The dinning hall is a mess of scorch marks and slashes along with the damage that is common with explosives used in close quarters.
There on the floor face down before the trapped guests is Finn. Rushing to him I flip him pulling at my first aid kite to stop the bleeding. Giving him an adrenaline booster I begin compressions to jump his heart.
His right arm reduced to a stump at his elbow and blood is leaving his mouth too quickly. I continue to stall his bleeding tell the cops to get a healer or doctor here quickly.
One cop comes to my aid apply a bit on healing magic to close the still oozing artery. But even with it close the wizard cops stops to say "Ma'am he's too far gone if we..."
I glare at him saying, "If you're not going to help them fuck off. Merten's... Finn you got to wake up... Wake up you self bastard! I'm not winning like my father did with yours. Why won't you Merten's just stop cheating..."
My HUD repeating the same words 'flat line' even as I keep compressing his chest. Seeing it still doesn't change it. Another Merten's dead because they had to give their lives to save others.
Hearing a loud serious of steps I can tell its Billy. Said hero rushes in utterly shocked as he takes a knee by me. I look at him to ask, "Are you happy hero Billy my friend died doing what you asked? He died being a hero..."
Billy says "Not this time. All of you stand back this is going to be intense."
Billy raises his hand to his face to tap his temples twice. He chants for several seconds to go cross-eyed. To my shock his eyes slowly gloss over with magic. The gem piece resting at his nose glows to fire a stream of swirling magic into Finn's corpse. I ask, "What are you doing?"
Billy says, "As I told you I've lived a long life and seen too many young heroes die doing what is asked of them. What is asked of us. But not this time, right now I'm bringing Gold mask back to life."
To my shock the more serious of Finn's wounds stop bleeding to show mild clotting. And to further my shock my HUD reads 'Slow heart rate.' He really is bringing Finn back to life. Billy however drops to both knee his face paler and his breath drawn out.
Billy exhales deeply to say "To bring back one life at my age isn't easy. But also it comes with a cost. For cheating death of one soul another must be paid. Once the spell is done I will die."
The royal gasp some looking to speak but Billy says, "I've lived long enough and to give my life so that another hero can live to succeed me is what the role of a teacher is. Gold mask you are now the hero of OOO it is your task to continue where I and others before us couldn't. Lastly as a kingdomless royal I pass this status you. I place onto you the title of the Sightless prince of OOO. 'Billy's hair grows completely gray and his voice haggard and weak. But he looks one last time to the royals' Farewell my friends..."
With that Billy the hero dies. His body slowly turning grayer and grayer forming small cracks along his skin. Like a weather statue Billy the hero turns to stone. And with the last pieces of life leaving him his body he crumbles to a pile of ash.
Leaving behind his clothes and his sword. As the royals weep and bow in respect I tend to Finn stabilizing him and treating his wounds. His breathing his harsh and his heartbeat is weak but he's alive once more.
Third person's POV
Word of Billy's death traveled fast throughout OOO. Some couldn't believe that the last hero died. But the messengers and reports alike were quick added the news of the newest hero. Gold mask aka Finn the Sightless prince began to make the rounds.
With them also showing footage given by Angel queen of Finn fighting Magic Man and the various other Blooded beasts. People were already amazed at the skill of the new hero.
Some tried to downplay his feats. That was until various royals and citizens began sharing their sightings of Finn fighting. As well as the queen of flames herself complimenting Finn's skill and telling the naysayers that his skills are not in question. And when the queen of raw power doesn't question someone it goes a long way in the public's eye.
No one however outside of the group that was in the dinning hall knew how Billy died. Nor how close the new prince/hero came to his own death. Finn's treatment and safety became the royal's main goal after the beasts were dealt with.
It's been over a week since that day. And after the wait all the royals asked to meet with the strangers. Inside the private room in doctor princess's main medical complex the humans sit across from the leading royals.
With all the royals assembled queen Bubblegum asks, "Please we've already seen Finn's face why can't we see yours?"
Elder Riglion nods for all three to remove their helmets showing their faces to the royals.
The royals are shocked that the three before them looking so closely in facial structure and skin color. While looking so different gender wise and age wise. Doctor princess asking, "Are all of you the same species?"
Elder Riglion nods saying "Yes we're humans to all of you that name may not mean much. But genetics wise it makes us living ancestors to some of you."
The royals seeming confused until queen Aki says "So that's why Finn smelt and felt so familiar. My ladies humans were the first species to live on our planet. Long before the mushroom impact humans thrived and lived on every part of the world. The made buildings that would put ours to shame and made machines that could do all sorts of wonders.
"I was a young demoness during the fall and meet few surviving humans in the years after. But saw their skills in different ways. So humans where have you held up for all these generations?"
Elder Riglion says "You seen that large ring near the moon, that has been our home since the beginning of the mushroom wars."
The royals gasp while Flame queen says "Lies that is impossible! No one but Glob himself can be upon the sacred ring."
Elder Riglions taps her armor to pull of a holographic image display. To the royals shock again she shows the royals pictures of humans thriving on the Frontier. She even gives them a short video to watch about the founding of Frontier.
Cities-men Mat says, "We have no reason to lie and as we said we need soil. Or it will cause people on our home to starve. One of our top young Witchers was ready and nearly gave his life in your protection as asked by your hero code. It goes without saying that things must be talked out."
Breakfast queen says, "We understand fully but things must be addressed before we give you the soil."
Lizard queen adds "With Billy's death and Finn being appointed as both a prince and the newest hero. We have all agreed that we will allow you to mine areas with soil. But Finn must stay in OOO. He must mate with at least half of our daughters to continue the royal bloodlines of OOO. Along with help the other royal families find candidates to continue their bloodlines."
Alan says "That'll be hard. We Witchers are the warriors of our home. Frontier has a strict code to follow, as we're the warrior class. We can't have more then two or three kids. Also at least one must become a Witcher in training. The safety and tradition of our people must be held to protect our home from attack."
Bandit queen leans against her arm to ask "Really if you're in space what does it matter if someone attacks? I mean who else besides you can reach space? Besides with these being the last two months of the hot season winter is next. And as time passed by the people will want to see that our daughters are pregnant or begin the selection process for donors.
"Billy picked Finn to be his successor as well as a prince. Your traditions don't apply now that Finn has both his feet in our bed. So either you tell him he's going to do the beast with two back with our daughters. Or you can forget about getting any soil from us."
Alan growls ready to protest when Elder Riglion says, "We understand but as Cities-men Mat said we must begin talks. In short we're just the advanced party. Give us by the afternoon and our homes representatives will finalize all agreements."
The royals nod allowing the humans to leave. As they do the queens and single princess are still in shock. A whole orbital station with a thriving community and warriors with such skills. And more shocking that the station is populated by the oldest surviving species of the planet.
It is both exciting and shocking to think about. Bandit queen licks her lips to say, "Wonder what a guy like that feels like in bed?"
Flame queens huffs to say, "Of course that's the first thing you think of. What I want to know is where we stand if Finn must father all our daughters children. If one or more are born male we'll have a problem."
Queen Bubblegum says, "We already have a problem. This now being the last month we have no choice but to put it on Finn to impregnate the princesses and queens in waiting. And as I heard only a few of them even know him and his social issues.
"But this also means when it becomes time for his children at to find partners. He must rigorously balance his parental mind and his duties as a hero. And yes he maybe young but who's to say how long he will actually live for. If worse comes to worse Finn will have to start recruiting heroes and royals within the next two or three years."
Water queen says, "Why wait I say the moment we know he's gotten two of our daughters pregnant. He should begin work at finding new heroes."
As the royals continue to talk the princesses are either pacing with worry. Or thinking of how good Finn looked. Besides the messy state he was in. And how he actually died for a short while.
And the princesses are having second thoughts. Some originally thought Finn was in his mid or late twenties with how he talked. As well as the skills he displayed time and time again. But in truth he's a young guy with hair admittedly that is as bright as gold and his words as he died rang out to them.
Finn's drive has been looking to prove or gain the approval of his mother. Most of princesses can relate each having their own parents still in their lives to live up to. But it leaves them wondering what his life back with his people is truly like.
Bandit princess asks "Hey Marcy did your mom tell you anything about Finn? I mean you did say she got this odd feeling when he visited with Billy."
Flame princess says "Getting a little forward with the new heroes name even though he didn't tell us himself Mirage? We should be thanking Glob for his mercy and not taking Golden while he is so young in his time as our hero."
Bandit princess better known as Mirage chuckles to say "It's sad that he had to loose his arm for us. But still seeing him fight and killing Magic Man like that. Proves that old Billy boy was right. A real hero does things that most warriors would be afraid to do. Anyone facing a morphed and conscious pit beast would lose but not Finn. He fought he didn't retreat and if you all didn't notice he kept himself between us and Magic man the whole battle...
"Finns right arm was trapped and he could do little with his broken left. I still don't think anyone of us could have made the sacrificed he did. Well Bonnie and Marcy could cause they can regenerate. And no I'm not counting elementals your bodies don't really lose limbs like us. Plus can any of you think of any other ideal situation of proven you're worthy of the title of hero then Finn's actions?"
Princess Bubblegum takes a moment to analyze the words Mirage used. Her mother's family has kept a long record of all the heroes of OOO. And often in the past the heroes that lost limbs went on to face some of OOO's nastiest. But also left legacies that shaped or impacted OOO to great lengths.
Marceline floating back into the room groans as that the nurses still won't let her into Finns room. Marcy says, "All I want is a quick peek at his dick I mean can't a girl see the equipment to fantasize?"
Warrior princess says "They won't let you in Marceline. Finn is under constant guard by another of their kind inside his room. The warrior had light armor protecting him like the other male in their group.
"But unlike their diplomat the one in question had more pieces to his armor. And a weapon similar to the range weapons they all carry. For now we'll have to wait for what our mother tell us. And even then Finns current place in OOO will still be shaky."
Angel princess laughs to say, "Doesn't matter how shaky his standing is it'll end the same way. Finn will have to plant his seed into us. Cause I don't give a fuck what others think of him. I now know he's young he proved to us he's worth our time of day.
"And better yet Billy dubbed him a prince. By right he can fond his own land and how often does a male royal also show they have skills to fight. Like us we often fight, talk, or show we have dabbled a little bit in one as well as our preferred trade. But I still want to know why Billy titled Finn the Sightless prince."
To the princess surprise Doctor princess and queen Aki enter the waiting area.
Queen Aki says, "Girls you're to return to your kingdoms and await for the meeting Wizard city. The humans leadership will meet with us and talk about Finn."
Flame princess as well as a few other princess are confused enough to ask "Wait human what are they?"
Doctor princess answers "That's what Finn and the other strangers species is. Humans are soft skinned beings much like plenty of beings in OOO. However unlike other species their blood when touched by the air turns crimson in color. Humans differ from one another either by hair color, skin color, or eye color. Genders excluded they hardly show that much difference."
Queen Aki says, "That pretty much sums up what humans are. Aside from the facts they build and continue to create various kinds of technology. And can adapt to environments given enough time.
"More commonly humans tend to fight with every inch of their lives if pushed too far. So take what you saw Finn do and multiple it to every warrior the humans have.
"And I can tell you with most certainty that back when humans lived across every inch of the world. That the wars they put one another through would put fear into you. Ask a demon older them me in the Night-O-Sphere and they'll tell you of the horrors humans are capable of... As well as their blessing too."
As the princesses leave they all wonder just how strong Finn's new mental state will make him? And how his uncertain future will shape the events of OOO.
