PS:IAWL Ch2. Chris & Patty's Adventures in Molly Sitting.
(The camera pans into Chris's apartment window showing him lying in bed looking like he's been crying when Stay Young by the Graveyard Club begins playing.)
We built a house in a tree where the summer ends...
(He slumps up in the bed with a big sigh.)
There is a hole in the roof where the light gets in...
(He looks seeing the sunlight shining onto Menthis's now empty bed.)
And it heals all the places the scars have been...
Don't grow up, don't get old...
(Chris sadly wipes the tears out of eyes.)
And if you should ever feel that you've been defined...
(He slowly gets up and begins getting dressed.)
By the things in your life you've left behind...
(As he's trying to get his pant leg on when he accidentally knocks over a box off the counter and a picture spills out.)
Realize they exist only in your mind...
Don't be lied to there is more true!
(He picks it up and it's one of the photos from the airport.)
Just the birth or the death of the earth and the sun...
"Why'd you have to go... weren't you happy?" Chris says sadly.
Who you thought that you were...
Who you think you'll become!
(He slides the picture into a frame and sets it on the counter.)
If there's no point to it all...
Then just let it dissolve...
(He finishes getting ready and heads out to his car.)

(He gets in his car parked behind the building with a sigh and drives off to his sister's house.)
Later at Meg and Eddie's.
(Chris walks up to the house and knocks on the door, sighing sadly again.)
"Oh thank God Chris or should I say thank me, you're here." Meg says playfully nudging him.
"Yeah yeah whatever I'm here like I said…" Chris replies thoroughly unamused.
"What happened to you? You're acting like someone…. Oh…right…sorry I honestly am surprised you haven't moved on it's been like eight months dude…" Says Meg.
"Yeah…right…. you'd think…" Remarks Chris pushing past her and walking in.
She follows behind him, "I just want to thank you again Eddie and I have been needing to get out but we have Patty and Molly but now we're watching Eddie's nephew Jacob.
"Who?" Asks Chris a bit confused.
"Christopher Cross Griffin I presume." Says a voice from behind him.
"That's Jacob…." Says Meg.
"Oh it's just Chris…" Replies Chris turning around and shaking his hand as he does it he whispers to Meg, "Who the hell told him my whole name?"
"Right? It's creepy…." Meg whispers back.
"Forgive me if I was too formal." Jacob says, pulling his hand.
"He talks like a damn grown man." Remarks Chris to Meg.
"Hmph…I look forward to our interactions tonight." Jacob says with a weird grin as he walks away.
"I don't want to stay here with that kid…" Chris says looking back at Meg.
"I'll up it another fifteen percent." Says Meg.
"Twenty." Replies Chris.
"Eighteen take it or leave it." Says Meg.
"Fine, you got yourself a babysitter." Replies Chris walking into the living room.
"Uncle Chris!" Shouts Molly running towards him.
"It's good to see you Molly, look how big you're getting." Replies Chris with a smile looking at her.
"Sup." Says Patty walking in looking at her phone.
"Wassup Patty." Replies Chris with a wave and a smile.
"Mhmm." Patty says, walking right past him.
"Hmm…" Chris says to himself.
"Good to see you again Christopher." Jacob says with a wave sitting on the couch.
"It's just Chris dude…" Replies Chris.
"Ah forgive me." Jacob says with a smile.
"Yeah…no problem." Replies Chris nervously turning around.
"All right, how do I look?" Asks Eddie coming down the stairs.
"Quite presentable if I do say so myself." Replies Jacob looking at him.
"Uh, thanks?" Replies Eddie a little unnerved by his nephew's nonchalant demeanor.
"Yeah as he said you look good." Chimes in Chris.
"Thanks I guess." Says Eddie with a half smile.
"Y'all done?" Asks Meg impatiently.
"Yep." Says Chris and Eddie in unison.
"Good let's get going." Replies Meg abruptly walking towards the door.
"You got this man?" Asks Eddie before he begins following Meg.
"As I ever do…" Replies Chris nervously turning back and looking at Jacob who's just smiling back blankly at him.
"So Chris was it, what's on tonight's itinerary?" Jacob asks him.
"I don't know dude…whatever you want I guess…" Replies Chris.
"Awwwe look at the big man with the fancy words." Remarks Patty.
"My apologies if my articulation was above an uncultured hag like yourself." Replies Jacob smirking back at her.
"Dafuq you just say to me? I'll smack the shit out of you." Shouts Patty back at him.
"Do it." He says with a smile, "It's amusing when the unrefined have to resort to violence when they feel inferior." He finishes with a laugh.
"Holy shit dude…" Remarks Chris looking at Patty whose face is now beet red.
"You know what this is my house I'm going to my room!" Replies Patty storming off.
"I guess I won hah I knew you didn't have it in you." Says Jacob mockingly.
"Why don't you go fuck yourself for your victory lap!?" Says Patty from the stairs.
"Jesus Christ what have I gotten myself into…" Chris says to himself.
"So Chris you said whatever we wanted, why not ask Molly?" Asks Jacob turning towards Chris.
"Uh sure, so Molly what would you-." Begins but Molly already answers.
"Hide and seek hide and seek hide and seek!" Chants Molly happily.
"Okay sure you hide I'll count." Replies Chris with a smile.
(Chris closes his eyes and begins counting when he hears the patio door open he opens his eyes but Jacob is gone so is Molly it's dark now and he hears Molly out back singing Always Forever by Cults.)
You and me always forever...
We could stay alone together!
"Molly is that you?" Chris asks nervously.

"Molly come on, this isn't safe." Says Chris walking through the darkness.
You know you've got me in your pocket!
(Chris sees someone run through the open fence towards the docks.)
You don't just have to wait around!
You know I'll keep you in my locket!
(Chris gives chase to the figure running towards the docks.)
Just come here and we can settle down!
"Molly Molly please come back!" Chris shouts in the darkness running after the figure. He gets to the dock and sees no one when he looks around he suddenly feels someone push him into the lake.

He begins thrashing around in the water, "Help someone help me!" Chris cries.
Hard to say things could be better...
Darling don't get away right now!
(He looks up again and sees Menthis who just smiles at him from the dock.)

"Menthis please help me!" Cries Chris sinking into the water.

(Chris slowly loses consciousness sinking further into the lake.)
Just come here and we can settle down!
(A figure dives in and grabs Chris and swims with him back up to the surface.)
Oh darling it's alarming to think of us apart!
(The figure turns out to be Patty who begins giving him mouth to mouth.)

"Come on uncle Chris wake up please wake up." Cries Patty.
You know I'll keep you in my locket!
Just come here and we could settle down!
(Chris's eyes shoot open and he gets up sputtering out water.)
"You're okay!" Remarks Patty happily hugging him tears in her eyes.
"What happened?" Asks Chris, still breathing heavily.
"I don't know, I looked out my window and I saw you walking towards the docks. You stopped at the end of them and just fell in." Replies Patty, "I was so scared. She says hugging him again.
(Suddenly Jacob and Molly walk up.)
"What happened?" Asks Jacob as a slight glow fades from his eyes.
"Uncle Chris fell into the lake." Replies Patty.
"That's unfortunate…" Replies Jacob.
"Yeah, should we call mom and dad?" Asks Patty.
"Know what let's not and order a pizza and in the morning I'll split the extra fifteen percent I get…also you guys didn't hear…know what nevermind." Replies Chris walking ahead with Molly and Patty.
"How interesting he heard it too. I wonder if it actually was her?" Jacob says to himself then follows them in.
