What familiar should Nagumo have? I have a few ideas, but I like to hear yours.
Chapter 9: Welcome to this shit show
Nagumo Hajime signs as he walks to find Issei, Rias has asked him to find Issei and bring him to the club. Why he doesn't know about the devil shit yet, Nagumo doesn't care but he'll see it being Rias stupid, again.
Nagumo looks to each classroom, trying to find him as Rias didn't tell him what class he was in or anything. Sure Issei is the infamous pervert that everyone in the bloody school knows but it is not like he focuses on every aspect of the idiot's life.
Nagumo takes a deep breath as he lets his Sense Presence find him. He's getting better at differentiating the devils now that he has noticed both Gremory and Sitri devils.
Right now all the other Gremory peerages should be in the club house as he follows the familiar energy similar to his, following the path Nagumo looks in the classroom to see Issei looking bored.
So he hasn't mutated or anything from that extra pawn piece he put in him, Nagumo opens the door to walk in.
Some students from the class notice him but don't take much notice.
"Hey is that Nagumo?" One student said seeing him walk in the class.
"What's he doing here?" Another student said Nagumo doesn't say much but walks to Issei.
Issei turns to see Nagumo Hajime behind him.
"ummmm hey" Issei said, just noticing him.
"Rias, send me to get you, come on," Nagumo said, getting Issei's attention.
"What you're the fetching guy?" Issei asked him, as few people noticed them.
"Sure now come on," Nagumo said as Issei got his stuff while following Nagumo out of class.
"Why is Nagumo asking for Issei?" a student notices them, but another just shrugs not caring about the two, everyone goes back to their business as Issei follows Nagumo.
Nagumo got a bit more notice since he joined the ORC club but not much from it, few people notice him only try to talk to him to get to the more popular ones in the club.
Issei follows Nagumo as they head out to the back of the school building and head towards the old school building behind the new school, Issei looks confused at why there doing to the old creepy building which is considered one of the seven wonders of the school but really was just an old building made from wood that normal schools would take down or remodel but just left it there.
Most likely due to devils keeping the norms from tearing the old place down.
Issei seemed surprise that all of the windows looked to still in place before turning his gaze to Nagumo,
"Rias's in here" Nagumo said, Issei nodded as he continued to follow our main man, Issei looked surprised at the clean corridors and empty rooms they passed as they headed up to the second floor.
Nagumo stopped before a particular classroom, Issei looking confused as he noticed the sign on the doorway
"Occult Research Club" Issei spoke to himself confused, Nagumo looked at him before nodding.
"Rias, got the new guy" Nagumo called out, Rias calls back
"Come in" Rias's voice is heard, Nagumo enters first with Issei close behind, the latter freezing in surprise as his eyes roamed the room, picking up on all the weird signs and words all around the place.
His eyes lingered on the large circle written on the floor, getting a creepy vibe from the whole room before he picked up on the couple of sofas and desks in the room.
"What's with this room?" Issei asked before notice Koneko eating chocolate.
"Wait the girl…." Issei noticed in shock..
"You should know Koneko Toujou," Nagumo introduces the infamous loli. Koneko noticed the two.
"The new guy Issei Hyoudou" Nagumo points, with Koneko nodding in greetings before going back to her sweets.
"Oh, nice to meet you," Issei said politely. Nagumo sees Issei has a cheerful grin on his face. Nagumo rolls his eyes at Issei being in the same place as the so-called mascot for people with loli or child-like looks without it being labelled as paedophilia.
Or is being attractive to younger people that looks like a child be still considered a pedo.
"Welcome to the club Issei, I'm Kiba Yuuto" Kiba introduces himself as Issei looks like he swallowed a lemon.
"Yeah, nice too, dam prince" Issei said, like every other guy he hates Kiba for being better looking and getting all the girls attention.
Nagumo sits on the couch as they all hear the shower running, which got Issei attention straight away, as he looks at Rias in the curtain that barely covers the view of her naked body.
"I brought your clothes, Buchou" Akeno calls out with Rias in the shower.
"Thanks, Akeno," Rias said, turning off the water as Issei freaked out. Nagumo notices it too, but doesn't think much of it. To Rias she just was getting naked in front of her property, not people, Nagumo thought.
Other devils would do the same to their slaves as well.
"Rias I knew it, what a fantastic club I've entered" Issei said as he looked like he was having an orgasm.
"What a creepy face," Koneko dryly said, Issei looking at her. Nagumo just sits down reading a book, not paying attention to this.
"Oh my, look who here" Akeno walks forward to greet the new member.
"You're the new club member, please to meet you" Akeno bowed her head, her boobs bouncing with her movement.
"I'm Akeno Himejima, the vice president" Akeno introduces with a giggle as Issei introduces himself while scratching his head.
"What a great club" Issei cheers with his monkey like brain, for a pervert this is a dream come true.
"Thanks for waiting, Sorry I spent a night at your place, so I couldn't shower" Rias dries her hair with Issei.
"No I don't mind at all," Issei said, no shit he would mind at all, Nagumo thought, writing down notes as everyone focused on Issei.
"Looks like everyone is here. Issei Hyoudou. No, let me call you Issei" Rias spoke, taking Issei nod as an agreement as she continued
"We, the Occult Research Club, welcome you…"
"Um… thanks" Issei spoke, hoping to get some explanation over all that had happened as Rias finished speaking
"…as a Devil" Rias's mouth dropped open as he looked confused at her, Nagumo groaned to himself, this is going to take a while.

"Here's your tea," Akeno said, handing a cup to Issei who'd regained some of his mind after that devil statement. Everyone sits on the couches with Rias on the table.
"Thank you…" Taking a quick sip out of courtesy, Issei never seemed to like drinking it before, he found himself surprised.
"This tastes great " Issei said,
"Oh my. Thank you very much." Akeno replied as she started to laugh.
"Akeno, you sit over here as well."
"Yes, Buchou" Akeno spoke as she moved to sit next to Rias, everyone looking at Issei, who fidgeted slightly nervous before Rias spoke to him
"I will tell you directly. We are all Devils." Rias explains, as Nagumo pretty much just zones out at the explanation of the supernatural to Issei.
Rias explains about the Devils, fallen angels, why Issei was targeted and the sacred gear he may have.
Issei tries to summon it but he too much of a bitch as Rias further explain how he became a devil and now is a slave to Rias forever until he dies.
Well not in that wording but that's the concept if you read between the lines.
And everyone is reintroducing themselves with the devil wings.
Oh it's his turn now.
"Hey, Nagumo Hajime, Devil and 3rd year, what's up?" Nagumo waves at him as he lets his wings out like everyone else; yeah you're not truly a devil unless you have weird bat wings coming out of your back.
They could be lying about this stuff, a smart person would ask more than just flashing panties but Issei isn't the smartest cookie.

Nagumo walks home after going through the introduction again but from Rias and the devil's point of view, While Rias explains the basics in Devil view is quite a difference from the Fallen Angel's view.
While Rias did mention you can get a harem and all that, but what she didn't say was that everything the reincarnated devil owns is now owned by their master. From items to even relationships to the reincarnated devils, the master of the peerage has complete access to their peerage stuff.
But what of the peerage members you ask, don't they get a say. Well no, legally and magically at least. Reincarnated Devils are property to the high class devil and the evil piece that made them keeps them from killing or doing any harm to the king piece.
A failsafe of some kind, the reason reincarnated devils go insane when they leave, kill or go against their master.
Not to mention how difficult it is for low class devils to even rank up, despite taking a test of some kind to prove their worth of the rank, you have to have a degree in political power as well. While currently their low class devils under a high class one. They actually lucky due to the low rank other high classes won't notice them unless they do something stupid; even then it falls to the high class king in charge of them.
And other high class devils will double down on those that rank up to be their peers, something about being a pure blood compared to reincarnated devils, classism at its finest.
Even if they do become high class, other so-called noble pure blood devils will do whatever they can to knock them down. Reincarnated devils aren't that high in the devil government due to old pure blood devils living forever.
Not to mention once you leave the peerage, you're out of the king's protection. Without any political protection you get eaten alive by all the devil politics reincarnated devils know nothing about.
Nagumo can't help but hit himself when Rias points out all the benefits of being a devil without the downsides to becoming one, holy items and holy energy is more dangerous to them and they'll be hunted by everyone who hates devils.
Which is the whole supernatural world.
Nagumo sighs, he can see the other point of view, devils taking away their people, magic and other stuff then turning them into more devils. Nagumo isn't one to judge that amount of hate the catholic spent decades on to begin with.
Nagumo stops, looking around. He hears something, something coming.
To him very fast!

Nagumo reached out and grabbed it.
"Ohhh" Nagumo winces at his hand, bringing his hand down to see a tennis ball smoking in his hand.
"A tennis ball?" Nagumo said, looking at the smoking tennis ball in his hand, he winced at the burning ball in his hand.
"Oh shit, oh shit, where is it? I hope nothing got hurt!" A distress voice called out, Nagumo looks to see a busty young woman with long, brown hair arranged in multiple drill-like curls.
This is Abe Kiyome is a first-year college student from Kuoh Academy. She was the Captain of the school's Tennis Club
"Looking for this?" Nagumo holds a smoking tennis ball, and Abe looks scared.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, are you ok? Let me look at you" Abe looked concerned as she checked his hand, but was surprised to see nothing wrong with it.
"That's quite a swing you got there" Nagumo compliments, wincing at the ball, putting the tennis ball in her hands as Abe eyes widen.
"ohhhh, yeahhhh thank you, myyy firend has a hard swing, Immmm trying to teach her tenniss, she got a mean swing" Abe shakenly said, trying to cover up something as Nagumo raised his eyebrow.
"Well she got a good swing, only need to work on the aim" Nagumo said, as Abe let out a sign of relief.
"Don't worry, it won't happen again, thank you" Abe said, bowing her head.
"Pretty good for a human mage," Nagumo said, making her stand straight and look at him, looking closer at him, and realised what he was.
"A devillllll" Abe scared at who she nearly hit with a ball, Nagumo hold his hands to calm her down.
"Hey, hey, hey, don't worry I'm not a stray" Nagumo tries to calm her down, but she takes a step back.
"That what a stray would say" Abe accused, with Nagumo pausing at that.
A stray would say that, he'll give her that.
"I'm part of Rias Gremory peerage" Nagumo pulls out one of Gremory fliers before showing her it, Abe takes the flyer quickly and looks it over.
Abe looks at Gremory's symbol and looks at the devil before her.
"Wait, I know you, your Nagumo Hajime" Abe pointed out, recognising him from the ORC club, when the club with the hottest devils in the school gets a new member it gets people's attention.
Nagumo nods, holding out his hand.
"Correct and you are aware of the devil crap, nice to meet you" Nagumo greets, happy to know someone outside of the devils is aware of the supernatural, Abe shakes Nagumo hands.
"I'm Abe Kiyome, Captain of the Tennis club and Beast Tamer" Abe introduced herself, Nagumo looked interested in her.
"Beast tamer?" Nagumo asked, having seen what monster tamer can do with his other selves.
"Yep, I came from a family of beast tamers" Abe brags about it, with Nagumo nodding.
"Well, you a big bad beast tamer afraid of a weak low class devil" Nagumo said, but Abe looked frightened.
"Whattt, of no no no, Nagumo-kun, I would never" Abe shakes her head but Nagumo waves her off.
"It's fine, surprised you can be here in devil territory" Nagumo said didn't think a wizard family or something would stay in devil's territory.
If there are devils, angels, fallen, why not wizards or tamers.
"My family made a deal with Gremory and Sitri family" Abe explains how her family made a contract with the head of the two families.
"Interesting, what monsters have you tamed?" Nagumo asked, as Abe got excited.
"Oh quite a few, I tamed a Harpy, a Lamia, a Mermaid, a Yuki-onna and a few more but are not truly tamed yet" Abe said, excited about talking about her tamed monsters.
"Really, a Lamia and a Yuki-onna?" Nagumo said, how to get these two different monsters.
"Yeah my family deals with Youkai, European Monsters and many more" Abe explains the different types of monsters her family tames.
"I even taught mine to play tennis" Abe said with pride to Nagumo amusement.
"Tennis, you tame monsters and teach them tennis," Nagumo asked in humour, imagining giant monsters of myth and horror playing tennis.
"Who do you think hit that ball" Abe throws the ball up in the air, she tosses the ball to Nagumo who caught it.
"Impressive, teaching a monster how to hit a ball with a racket is pretty good," Nagumo said, throwing the ball up and down before tossing it to Abe.
"Thank you, at least someone can see the work I put in," Abe said, catching the ball and looking at it, before turning to Nagumo.
"What about you? What's your familiar?" Abe asked Nagumo, which surprised Nagumo.
"Familiar?" Nagumo asked, another thing Rias didn't mention.
"Familiars are monsters or supernatural beings who have been magically bound to a Devil as a servant or ally. My family used to help out any devil that asks about different types of monsters" Abe explains the familiar business to Nagumo.
"Familiars are considered a basic requirement for Devils. They could assist their masters in various tasks, be used for information gathering and relaying messages, as well as perform any other odd jobs that their masters could think of. Devils may also possess more than one familiar, I recall Akeno having more than one I think. Familiars are shown to have different abilities depending on their species." Abe explains the basic familiars have.
With Nagumo nodding, this stuff sounds serious, he wonders why Rias or anyone else told him about this.
"Don't you do the same?" Nagumo asked what the difference was between Familiars and tamed monsters.
"Tamers have to find there monsters and tame them with hard work and a lot of patience while Devils go to a special forest and, with the guidance of a Familiar Master, capture and bind a familiar they find suitable, but only at full moons" Abe explains the difference between the two with a hit of jealous in her voice.
"Rather unfair" Nagumo mentions to her, see tamer do more work to get the monster then devils.
"I know, all us tamers spend weeks to month finding monsters, spending even longer time training them, yet devil just do to a magic forest with all the best monsters with an expert to help subject them" Abe get frustrated at that, with Devil's having an easier time getting amazing familiar with little effect compared to her spending days finding rumours about a monster sighting which turns to be some jerk in a costume most of the time.
"That is unfair and you're smart enough not to join a peerage" Nagumo said, seeing her already aware of not joining a peerage.
"Oh no way, my monsters would hate me if I became a devil" Abe shakes her head, she never does that to her monster friends.
"Good for you" Nagumo gave her a flyer as she takes it with interest.
"If you ever need help taming a bigger monster, I'm your guy" Nagumo said with a wink, Abe has a conflicted look.
"My father won't like to be doing this with a devil," Abe said looking at the flyer.
"You're not doing this with a devil, you're doing this with a reincarnated devil," Nagumo said with a smirk as Abe smirked back.
"That true, if you ever need help with your familiar, just let me know, I would love to see it" Abe asked, while she doesn't approve of the devil using magic to enslave a monster she still want to see the monster he would tame, seeing how Nagumo was different from the other devils.
"No problem, phone numbers?" Nagumo pulls out his phone with Abe doing the same, as they both exchange numbers.
"Well I need to get back or Mizore will get lonely" Abe said, as Nagumo nodded.
"Catch you later then" Nagumo nods as they both go their separate ways with Abe heading back to her monster friend and Nagumo head home.
With Abe she holds onto tennis ball as she goes to the tennis court, seeing her friend with long light purple hair, blue eyes that has a bit of purple at the top and with a lollipop in her mouth
She wear a uniform as she wears a light brown pleated skirt, a white sweatshirt with long dark blue sleeves with a black singlet underneath, a yellow pendant, long dark & light purple striped stockings with white shoes and a belt tied to her left leg,
This is Mizore Shirayuki, a Yuki-onna that Abe tamed/befriended and is trying to teach her tennis.
"What took you so long?" Mizore said, licking her lollipop while holding her tennis racket.
"Just meet someone that could help us get out of that stupid engagement my father set up" Abe said with a smile as Mizore smiled at well.
Meanwhile Nagumo looks at the phone number of Abe Kiyome, if what she does is true then help monster taming will lead to him fighting powerful monsters and getting a few things that will help him in the long run
There's more to the supernatural then just Heaven and Hell, or Underworld, and Nagumo isn't going to neglect it.
