Government agents, police officers and military personnel were gathered around the mob of Stark loyalist heroes who were surrounding the White House; the amount of heroes there and the clearly heavy hitters at the centre of it all made them hesitant to try anything. However the renegade superheroes teleported down there and faced off against the opposing hero forces and it charged.
Within a minute it was like chaos hero V hero charged and it was hard for any onlooker or even those taking part to know who was on what side. Stark flew up and was sending out repulsor blasts at who he could tell was not on his side, Ledger was creating constructs of tanks, jets and machine guns to fire at whoever was opposing Stark's forces and Richards was simply pushing past opposing heroes with his flight and strength.
Stark's forces clearly had the advantage.
Jennifer was lunging at Richards at the neck but she was slammed down only to be caught by John. They gave eachother nods as they continued fighting together. "You should see that it's futile to oppose me... Give up and we can see about getting your jobs back at a minor pay deduction..." Stark shouted out but found an error in his suit's pop up systems and activated back up and out from the suit came Hank in his yellowjacket armor as Stark got a lucky shot at him sending him down.
However growing to normal size to catch him was Hope who sent him down and had her helmet disassemble to show Hope's smiling face. "Hope..." Hank said in awe as the Wakandan jet made itself known overheard as down came Steve, Isaiah, Peter, Zarda, Scott, T'Challa and Rhodes. Steve went to work knocking out whatever Stark heroes was in his path while Isaiah brought out his fisticuffs against them, Peter was webbing them up, Zarda got out the Chain of Veracity to knock them down while Scott shrank down to lunge at some Stark heroes, Hope and Hank went back to back as they took them on together and Rhodes flew up to fire missiles at the opposing heroes.
"You can't win... We represent true law and order..." snapped Nightstick as he was punched hard in the face by Isaiah knocking some teeth out and then kneed in the gut with one more punch to knock him out. There was Richards sending Atomic Vision down at the renegade heroes but there was Stanley moving them out of the way.
"So the so called Avengers... So disappointed in you kid... Plus Rhodey... See you got a new suit..." Stark said as Peter and Rhodes glared at him.
"Better as well..." Rhodes said sending repulsor blasts and machine guns at Stark with Stark having to see that they firepower did have an effect on the nanites in his suit. So he flew away to survey his troops at a safe distance.
There was Richards flying down with a thud as he charged at several of the heroes but then teleported in was a bomb filled with the ionic energy of Simon Williams; it detonated with half of his face melting off to show his metal skull with others grimacing and shouting in shock. "Didn't that you were the actual one..." muttered Rhodes as he had to fly out of the way to avoid the Atomic Vision.
Steve threw his shield all along at the Stark heroes only to found Walker lunging at him; "I will deal with Stark later but... There can be only one Captain America and I won't let you humiliate me again! Give me that shield!" snapped Walker lunging at as Steve and him traded punches and Steve kicked hard at his chest and snet him back. He dropped his shield and T'Challa had a Vibranium dagger stabbed and it and tore it half.
Walker got up only to be knocked out from behind by Isaiah Bradley as he and Steve rejoined the fight against the others.
"I am Reed Richards and with Hyperion's strength... I will make you all pay for vilifying me and my crew..." Richards snapped as the ones that sent the ionic bomb (with the detonation putting Simon Williams out of his misery as his ionic energy was used up) teleported in. Richmond as Nighthawk, Fury, Coulson and Castle with armor and firepower used by another power source joined the fight against the Stark heroes. Richmond sent grenades using the energy of his broken pieces of Argonite at Richards weakening him.
"What are you all doing here?" Peter shouted out as he was distracted by this as Fury then smirked at him as his crew were unmasked.
"Helping to save the world webhead." Fury retorted as Peter sighed knowing that he had to focus on the bigger menace at large.
"So you and your turncoat friends Zarda..." Spectrum muttered focusing his construct firepower at Zarda who shielded herself with her bracelets and deflect the blasts.
"Were you ever going to tell me about being the Destroyer of Worlds?" Zarda asked as Ledger got furious underneath his mask.
"I hate that term... You might as well surrender... We have the Power Prism and Richards with the power of Hyperion at his side... There is a reason why Howard Stark said that the super-man exists and he's American... He is gonna help us manifest destiny... You can't stop him Zarda as his power oversees your own... Not even an actual god can stop him..." Ledger ranted as clouds filled the sky and shots of thunder were heard.
Suddenly there was Thor and Hulk side by side with Thor holding Mjolnir up; behind them was an army of the Sakaaran military as well as the freed gladiators. "Let's test that mortal Destroyer..." Thor said as he faced the surprised Avengers and other renegade heroes. "Thanks to the Space Stone; we saw what was going on and wanted to be part of it! Have at thee New Asgard!" Thor called out as they charged into battle helping overwhelm the Stark heroes.
"Bruce..." Jennifer muttered spotting him and Hulk smiled at his direction.
"Long time no see Jennifer." Hulk said as Jennifer was taken aback by him speaking in a normal sentence. Hulk glared at Richards who was ready to charge at him at full speed with his flight. Richards hit him with full force but Hulk ended up not even budging a little and successfully caught Richards by the face and threw him from a distance. "I have gotten stronger and angrier since I last fought the real Hyperion..." Hulk said as he leaped at Richards to smash at him.
Thor threw his hammer knocking out several Stark heroes at once and caught it as Ledger lunged at him with constructs of a thousand missiles but Thor took them on and hit Ledger hard in the face with Mjolnir sending him flying down. Ledger blocked his face with his hand with the Power Prism on it. The Thorforce went down full force on the Power Prism and ended up cracking it and making it lose power as Rhodes noticed as he shot down Blue Eagle while Lady Lark and Arcanna double teamed to take down Lark's ex the Black Archer.
"What... No... This can't be..." Spectrum muttered in panicked as his mask was ripped and Thor ripped it off his hand and then threw it up in the sky. Then fying down hard was the real Hyperion who caught it in his hands. He glared at Ledger who reached out to him as Hyperion put the Power Prism in the palm of both his hands and squeezed hard destroying it.
Ledger cried out in fear and shock and the New Asgard army then all mobbed at Ledger seeing him powerless; wanting to get their 'pound of flesh' from the Destroyer of Worlds.
The renegade heroes looked in awe at Hyperion who joined their side and Richards managed to throw the Hulk off him as he charged at Hyperion. Hyperion caught him and threw him to the ground and stomped on his neck destroying him. "I was born and lived my life with my powers while you only recently found having them Dr Richards... I hope you find peace..." Hyperion muttered softly.
Stark thundered out in fury as he saw his heavy hitters taken care off and sent repulsors blasts at Steve, Peter and Hyperion. Wanting to get them but ended up getting blasts from Rhodey as Scott grew up and slammed him down while Hank and Hope shot blasts at his face.
Zarda used the Chain of Veracity to pull Stark in and kicked him in the face; "I have taken down a dictator with a moustache before Stark..." Zarda told him grinning as Peter sent a web tying up Stark and then went and punched him hard in the face. Steve and T'Challa got in their own punches.
Isaiah had the biggest grin as he lunged at Stark and punched him hard in the face letting out decades of frustration on the Stark family in his hits. They left him alone as he was beaten as Hulk glared at Hyperion who looked at him and sighed.
"Hulk... I am sorry for everything... I have a lot of apologies to make around the world and... I thought that I was helping you but I was actually wasn't... If there is anything that I can start to make it up to you..." Hyperion asked as Hulk then punched him hard in the face sending him back.
"You know what... After that... Let's consider it ended between us..." Hulk grinned as Hyperion nodded. Stark was crawling back to his feet and defiantly summoning his nanites but standing over him was a figure.
"I know you... That army sergeant who was married to..." Stark muttered but a gunshot to the head ended his life. They turned around and saw Coulson looking serious as he had his rifle with him.
"He doesn't get to say her name... That was for Pepper..." Coulson said as he looked behind them and then walked up to Steve. "I just want to say that it's an honor sir..." Coulson said as he then teleported away along with Fury, Castle and Richmond making the Avengers groan but right now they had bigger fish to fry as the Stark heroes realising that the fight was lost then surrendered.
Days later the Avengers were at Rocket Central with Thor and Hulk returning to the renamed New Asgard, Isaiah going home to rest with his family with their forces and Hyperion went back to space. Peter in his suit was with May who was brought to Rocket Central and they were looking at something left for Peter in his rarely used room at the Rocket Central. An autographed photo of Hyperion with a message saying 'Heard you were a big fan Spider-Man; hope I can end up becoming the hero that you idolised...'.
Peter ended up smiling at it gaining some respect back for his once idol especially as he gave a message to the countries of the world that he know that he had done so much wrong overseas and in the US for the government and the Stark family so he would be going to a self-inflected exile but would return if they needed their help. Those wanting him to answer for everything weren't happy but how could they make Hyperion do so.
There were calls from anti-hero movements to ban all superheroes but the support for the Avengers were growing worldwide as well as them releasing a list of who were on their side in the battle. The heroes that sided with Stark were taken into custody and their reputations would forever be tainted and there was a 'clean sweep' of the US government to find how involved in this conspiracy everyone was and charges going forward which included treason now.
Zarda went back to join them annoyed; "Nighthawk made off with the Power Stone and the Necrosword was stolen from my room... Forged by Knull the King in Black and it was the weapon of Gorr the God Butcher." Zarda muttered shaking her head as they found that concerning especially as Nighthawk was now MIA after the battle.
"We will find him and deal with him and the rest of Fury and his crew..." Peter assured her going up to her as Scott faced everyone.
"So we are a full team now... The Squadron Supreme is now dead and now everyone will be looking to new Earth's mightiest heroes... Guide the rest still wanting to do good and earn everyone's trust... We can have this as our headquarters... Because I really want to call dibs on Doctor Spectrum's room..." Scott said as they smiled at the thought.
"What do you think of leading us Cap?" Rhodes asked as everyone turned to Steve and he sighed.
"This was an unfamiliar time that I awakened in and some time at Wakanda had me questioning if I had any place in it... But as long as this world needs heroes; I will be there to step up..." Steve said as they all cheered him on.
The TV monitor showed a live news report from the being rebuild White House as the US senate had elected a new acting President of the US to spearhead everyone... Everyone paused as they saw Kyle Richmond in his suit with security being approached by reporters for a word causing them to be anxious.
"Okay; that's a bad sign..." Peter muttered shaking his head.
The grave of Pepper Potts at night and Coulson arrived there and left a bouquet of flowers at it as he stood up staring at it. There was Fury walking up to him. "Sir... Thinking about everything that had happened... Pepper has been avenged along with our comrades... The Stark legacy has forever been tarnished and burned to a crisp... The corruption exposed... Spectrum being made to answer for his crimes and I know Hyperion is a no-show but... Isn't this enough? The mission done... Can't we just end it now... I don't think Pepper would approve of what we have all planned... Can't we just rebuild from here and make a new world..." Coulson asked softly as Fury sighed putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Coulson... Phil... My one good eye... If anyone could talk me out of what is next then it would be you..." Fury said sounding remorseful as with his free hand he took out a gun and fired at Coulson's head. Fury turned around solemnly letting Coulson's dead body fall at the grave of his late wife. Them being together in death in a way.
Fury teleported away not knowing that Coulson had a device rigged to his heart monitor; that if anything should happen to him then it would send a message all the way to the Rocket Central...
One thing I definitely hope that they change for the show is that Butcher can't let go of his hatred for heroes even with the Seven and the corrupt heroes dealt with; he has to keep going on until everyone with even a trace of Compound V in their blood is death. I do hope that Butcher's better side in the show shines through and he reconciles with Ryan to turn him away from his toxic monster of a father. Since Butcher is shown to be more willing to compromise and realise how bad he is (him turning Ryan away in the latest season was a misguided attempt at him not being in a position to hurt the boy but only sent him back to Homelander's influence) than his comic counterpart. In a way Butcher from the comics is split into Coulson with the vendetta for what happened to his wife and Fury with him going to be the final threat but will be in a Big Bad Duumvirate with Nighthawk.
