Author's Notes 1: Sorry about no update last week. Mix of being sick and writers block. I might put my focus on this story for a bit as I'm finding it a little easier to write, but I'm not sure yet.

Bright and early Sunday morning, Midna stood overlooking Dagobah Municipal Beach Park, wearing a bright blue shirt with a shining green crystal with some gusts of green wind around it, jeans, white boots with a wave pattern on the side and clip on triforce earrings, she looked down at all the junk on the beach, "Yeesh this is worse than I thought!," Midna said as she looked at the cab of an eighteen wheeler with two old taxies on its back. Gaining a wide grin she cheered, "GOOD! This will be even better training than I thought!"

"Yeesh. This place really is a dump!" Setsuna said as she walked up, "And you're going to clean this all up?"

"Shadow Inventory OP can't nerf!" Midna cackled, even though she had no idea what her 'Inventories' limits were. Calming down she smirked, "Worse case scenario is it takes multiple trips and I need to find out if my limit is size based, or amount based."

Setsuna gave her friend a deadpan stare before shrugging, "You're not wrong but you don't have to rub it in."

"Oh I'm sorry miss, 'I can regenerate missing limbs'. I didn't realize an Inventory was that overpowered," Midna said before sticking out her tongue like the 'mature' teenager she was. The two looked at each other in silence before breaking out into giggles, "So what ya doing here Set-Chan? I thought your Kāchan was planning to take you to the museum for that new dinosaur exhibit?"

Setsuna shrugged, "Place got attacked by villains last night so it's closed. Figured I'd come see how you did, and perhaps do a bit of training myself."

"So… go to a part of the beach I'm not working with and move your parts through the junk?" Midna asked.

"Yup!" Setsuna grinned, "Rei-Chan is already working with her Kāsan so we won't see her until lunch, since Rei-Chan insists we come over to try her Kāsan's new recipes but she didn't say what kind of food it'll be."

Midna snickered, "I bet she finally figured out how to make those Dino Nuggets you use to get."

Setsuna snickered alongside her friend, "Alright, enough time yapping! We're burning daylight!"

The two walked down the stairs and into the makeshift junkyard. Setsuna headed off to the right, closer to one of the two surviving peers on the beach, while Midna headed to the left and towards a more dense section. When the blue skinned girl found a relatively clear spot she made sure there was no metal hidden in the sand and when there wasn't, she sat down crossed her legs and took a deep breath, a black circle appearing beneath her "Alright. I need to take this slowly…" Taking a second deep breath, upon exhaling the circle expanded so it took up the entire clearing, "Slowly expanding… slowly collecting," Another breath and the circle expanded yet again, sucking in every piece of trash it made contact with, even if that trash was hidden under the sand, "Just as the tide brings the waves in and out drawing junk to this beach… so too must my shadows draw junk into itself."

Midna continued meditating, each breath slowly expanding the circle, the circle continuing to pull more junk into itself, and information on what kind of items in her Inventory appeared in Midna's mind. She didn't know how long her meditation lasted, but her focus was broken when Setsuna yelled, "WHAT THE HELL MIDNA?!"

Midna's eyes shot open, and the large shadow ring vanished. Looking around she saw that she was now in a clearing with a seven meter radius, "By Naryu!" Midna gasped, "I didn't know it could get it that big! I thought three meters was my limit! Set-Chan how long have I been meditating here?!"

"Well we got here at about six thirty in the morning… it's now five past noon," Setsuna replied, "Wonder how big that would have gotten if I hadn't said anything."

"No idea," Midna shrugged but I don't think it's grown bigger in some time, but I don't know when it got to that size," Slowly getting to her feet Midna stumbled, "Sheesh my legs feel like jelly."

Moving over to help Setsuna chuckled, "You've been meditating for about six hours so it's no surprise, your legs are wobbly… So what the hell were you focusing on during your meditation?"

"Basically just slowly expanding the circle with each breath I took," Midna shrugged.

"And your Inventory? How's that going?" Setsune inquired, "It full yet?"

"I… don't think so?" Midna said, tilting her head slightly, "I mean it's all under 'scrap' so maybe my Inventory is just amount based like in Final Fantasy?"

Setsuna smirked, "Because of course your Inventory couldn't get any more busted. Basically unlimited room for anything and everything."

"Eh. It's more of a busted support skill then one for combat," Midna said as she took a couple steps away from Setsuna now that her legs were feeling better, as she did a wide grin slowly grew, "Unless… I can figure out how to shoot stuff out like a cannon!"

Setsuna let out an odd mix of groan and cackle as she rubbed her forehead, "Only you would turn an Inventory into a Kami damn cannon. At least it'll give you a leg up due to just how damn unexpected it is," Midna's only response was her signature cackle, something Setsuna soon joined with her own, "Oh I'm going to love seeing everyone's expressions when you pull that off at U.A.!"

"Think Rei-Chan will manage to make it a meme? You know how long she's been trying to make one herself," Midna asked.

"Who knows, but we'll damn well try!" Setsuna snickered, "Because I one hundred percent want to see you yeeting stuff out of your shadow being a meme," Her phone then buzzed, and after checking it, Setsuna burst out laughing, "Kami damn it Rei-Chan," Setsuna turned the phone around to show Reiko had added a pair of cartoon cats trying to get some fish out of a stew while another cartoon cat used some lasagna as a trampoline, "At least we know what her Kāsan was working on."

"True… so shall we head over and get some lunch?" Midna asked.

"Of course!" Setsuna replied with a large grin.

When they arrived, Setsuna knocked and moments later Reiko's mother opened the door. Her snow white hair went down to her waist, light blue eyes gleaming and drawing attention away from the faint scars on her face, two on the left and three on the right that started just below her eyes and went diagonally down her cheeks giving her a sad yet oddly scary air around her. She was wearing her normal white shirt and blue-jeans. Seeing Midna and Setsuna she smiled, "Hello Midna-Chan, Set-Chan. Please come in. Reiko-Chan has already set the table and is currently reading in the living room."

"Thank's Yanagi-San," Setsuna said with a grin as the two teens were let in. When the two arrived they saw Reiko was currently reading a manga.

"Sup Rei-Chan?" Setsuna asked with a toothy grin, "What ya reading?"

"A Pre-Quirk Manwha called 'Half Prince'," Reiko replied, "I discovered a reprint of the entire story at a second hand store, and my curiosity was piqued. At its base the story is about a girl wanting to play a new Virtual MMO game and for various reasons chooses a male avatar."

Midna tilted her head, "I think I found that one online not that long ago. I bookmarked the page to get back to later, but haven't had the time with how busy I've been. How far in the story are you?"

"I am merely three chapters deep," Reiko replied as she placed a bookmark between the pages and put the manwha aside, "I shall inform you if it's one I believe you'll enjoy at a later date."

"Thank's Rei-Chan!" Midna cheered, "Now let's go try that stew and lasagna!"

Once everyone was seated, Yanagi-San's phone rang, checking who it was, she smiled and put it on speaker, "Hello Tamashii-Kun!"

"Hiya Sadako-Chan!" Reiko's father said, and despite how dark and agitated his voice sounded, everyone there knew he was happy to speak to his wife, "Sorry but I'm not able to make it back for lunch. We had a villain attack trying to steal some of the jewelry and I need to file the report."

"Did they surrender the moment you appeared again?" Midna asked with a small cackle.

Reiko's father's laughter always came with the mental image of a dark being about to rampage and cause immense amounts of havoc, "Damn right they did Midoriya-Chan! That's why I'm the Head Guard here! I'm guessing Tokage-Chan is also there?"

"You know it!" Setsuna replied with a small cackle.

"Well I hope you three enjoy Sadako-Chan's new recipes. Just remember to save me some alright?" He asked with another chuckle.

"We'll try but we cannot make a promise we might not be able to keep Father," Reiko said with a small smile.

Her father chuckled again, "Fair enough Rei-Chan. I'll see you and Sadako-Chan when I get back."

"Don't worry dear, I'll make sure to keep some leftovers for you," Yanagi-San said with a small smile.

"Thank's Sadako-Chan," Tamashii said, "Got to go now. Talk to you later!"

Putting her phone to the side Reiko's mom smiled, "Now, let's eat! You three will need as much energy as possible for your training."

Midna slowly walked across the sand, trying to keep her shadow ring at seven meters while moving. She'd found that when she wasn't concentrating on the shadow, it was difficult to have it grow larger than three meters. Over the seven months since she started training at the beach, she'd managed to clear most of the it, while also getting the largest her shadow ring could get with minimal focus to five meters, and when meditating to twelve meters. Pretty good progress in her opinion. In that same time Reiko had raised her maximum weight limit to one and a half times her body weight, and using a ton of small items form around hers, Setsuna's and Midna's house found she could currently carry up to two hundred and twenty one items, though she wasn't sure if that was her cap or just because those items reached her weight limit.

Setsuna's range for how far her body parts could go had reached ten meters, when before the months of training it had been half that. She hadn't worked on her regenerations speed yet since she wanted to wait until there was a medical professional nearby. What she was really proud of was being able to lift half what she normally could with her arms detached, and a fourth with just her hands. When he saw that Izuku went full Mutter Storm for forty five minutes as he tried to figure out why. His conclusion was that with her arms detached from her body but complete, she only had access to fifty percent of her overall strength. When they tested having only her hands through elbows detached they found she was correct as she could only lift a third of her normal carry weight.

Izuku's growth however was simply astounding. In those seven months, he went from being a little shorter than Midna, to a little taller than her, with well defined muscles, and the stamina to keep up with Setsuna and Midna's normal jogging distance of three and a half kilometers when before he couldn't do one. Reiko wasn't up to that point yet, but she was still able to easily do a two and a half kilometer jog.

Just before Midna finished her latest and possibly last walk down the beach, she wondered how many people were going to enjoy it now it was clean again, as seagulls flew overhead. The moment the last bit of junk was pulled into her Inventory the waves endless motions came to a halt, the birds in the air stood stock still, in essence time had frozen for everything but Midna who yelled, "What in the name of Nayru?!"

Then a large form glowing too brightly to look at burst out of the ocean with Midna barely noticing that despite the force shown, not a single drop of water moved. The large figure dove back into the water before rising again, only then slowly lowering its head to look at Midna, and now she could see exactly what, or rather who was before her. The giant serpentine form of the Light Spirit Lanayru, the ball of radiant power held firmly in its jaw as the golden patterns that ran down its body gleamed in the sunlight, "Oh Young Member of the Twili. I am the Spirit of Light Lanayru and… uh…."

"Holy shit… Lanayru is real," Midna muttered eyes wide, "Wait if he's real does that mean the other Light Spirits exist too? Does Link exist? Zelda? The Golden Goddesses? The Shika? Oh fuck what if Gannondorf exists! I don't know if All Might in his Prime could beat the Demon King! Wait, why is he appearing now? Did I pass some kind of test cleaning the beach? Would he have revealed himself to anyone who cleaned the beach?" Midna was so focused on her thoughts she went into a full blown Midoriya Mutter Storm, as she tried to process what she was seeing. Lanayru on the other hand would have sweatdropped if he was able to. As it was he just stared at Midna unsure of how to snap her out of it as her muttering continued on for what would have been fifteen minutes if time wasn't frozen before he finally got fed up and the orb in his mouth flared, letting out a small flashbang "GAH! MY EYES!" Midna cried as she stumbled and fell back, her hands over her eyes.

"I apologize for that, however I was unsure how long your muttering was going to last," Lanayru stated, as he waited for Midna to recover.

"What do you… oh. Huh. I went on a Midoriya Mutter Storm. That's a first," Midna said, shaking her head as she got back to her feet, "The only way to describe it is, it felt like my mind was going too fast for it to process what it was thinking… Note to self ask Zuzu and Kāchan if that's how they feel when it happens to them later. Ok couple questions. One how the hell am I standing in front of you and not… you know. Dying? Hell, how am I in the World of Light and not dying?! I am a Twili after all even if no one else knows that."

"I am unsure," Lanayru replied, "But you are able to withstand the World of Light as easily as the World of Twilight. Otherwise you would have perished years ago, but as you can withstand the World of Light you are able to speak to me and my fellow Light Spirits without worry."

"Huh… Ok. Was hoping for more but if that's what I get, it's what I get," Midna shrugged, "Second question… Why did you appear after I finished cleaning the beach?"

"The land needed to be cleansed before I was able to manifest again," Lanayru explained, "Do you have any other questions?"

"Nope, I'm good," Midna said, "Go ahead big guy."

If Lanayru could roll his eyes or cough into a hand he would, "Yes… well then. As I was saying, Oh Young Member of the Twili. I am the Spirit of Light Lanayru and by cleansing the land you have restored my power. In gratitude I shall bestow upon you an item I have been guarding for time immemorial. Bestowed upon me until a time it is needed, I now bestow it to you as I feel the time draws near where it will be needed," Raising his head, Lanayru released his power and a glowing ball of black and dark red appeared before lowing to land in Midna's outstretched hands, "Let this peace of the Fused Shadow serve you well," The bubble burst revealing a stone helmet that would circle the head of the wearer, with two tall horns, and a single eye symbol that would fit over her left eye.

"By Din," Midna breathed as she held the piece of the Fused Shadow, and felt power emanate from it. This was the same piece her namesake used to wear. As she held up the helmet to get a better look at all the small details, the single eye began glowing an ominous yellow light, "... oh shit," A beam of pure Twili magic shot out of the Fused Shadow and into Midna's forehead, causing an aura of the same dark yellow magic to burst out of her. Automatically her arms raised and put the Fused Shadow on her head, causing power to rush through her body. Midna let out a terrifying scream of pain as she felt her bones and muscles twist, shrink and mutate, her visible eye aimed directly at Lanayru, completely bloodshot and glazed over in pain. The Light Spirit flinched back worried about the Young Twili but unable to halt whatever process was happening. If he knew this was going to happen he wouldn't have been so quick to give her the Fused Shadow.

In a burst of dark power the scream and transformation ceased, leaving a small form panting on the beach. Midna's new look was small, barely coming up to half her old height, and at first glance looked naked but if you looked closer you could see that most of her body was covered in a black cloth that melded seamlessly with her light blue skin leaving one leg, her stomach and up to her neck bare, the Fused Shadow covered half of her face leaving her now elongated right eye bare, her hair having expanded in volume and tied into a large ponytail, a single fang poking out of her mouth, her ears had elongated and showing the same light blue lines that now decorated her arms, and legs.

"What… the HELL was that?!" Midna asked, her voice now a higher pitch as she staggered to her feet, "I swear to the Golden Goddesses if you planned this, I don't know how but I will make you regret this!"

"I swear in the name of the Golden Goddesses I did not," Lanayru replied, bowing his head.

Midna grumbled, and would have summoned one of her wolves but she didn't know if it would survive the radiant light coming off Lanayru. Stumbling forward Midna looked into the water, finding the form of an Imp looking back, "Well… I now have something else in common with my namesake," Midna said quietly as she examined her reflection, the water so still she might as well have been looking in a mirror, "I wonder… Can I?" Focusing, Midna's hair twitched before suddenly shooting out and taking the form of a hand which coiled above her like a viper ready to strike, "Ok good to know… and something else I need to train," Midna muttered Lanayru deciding to be silent and letting the Young Twili work though everything as her hair falling back to it's previous ponytail. "Now how do I change back? Do I just take it off?" Slowly Midna reached up and after taking hold of the Fused Shadow and tensed, ready for another bout of excruciating pain.

They both flinched as Midna lifted it off her head, her body turning pitch black as if she was made of shadows as she grew back to her true height though strangely there wasn't any pain this time. Just an odd tingling sensation, once the transformation was over Midna sighed in relief, "Oh thank Nayru that didn't hurt! Must have been a one time thing but DAMN that sucked!"

"At least transforming back did not cause any more unneeded pain," Lanayru sighed, "Again my most humble apologies for causing such strife."

Midna glared up at the celestial serpent before sighing, "... I accept the apology ONLY because you had no way of knowing it would happen. If you did, then I can promise I would have found a way to prank the HELL out of you!"

Lanayru chuckled, "I have no doubt. You are by far one of the most driven people I have seen walk these lands, and have a powerful spirit. How else would you still be standing after such an excruciating transformation?"

"I'm no less driven than Rei-Chan, Set-Chan and Zuku-Kun!" Midna replied as she stretched, "Was there anything else you wanted to talk about before I head off to U.A. to drop off all this junk?"

Lanayru shook his head, "No. I wish you luck in your journey Young Twili, and want you to know the other Light Spirits should be holding onto the other three pieces. Farewell," With that final statement, the celestial serpent dove back into the ocean, time resuming the moment the last bit of the giant serpent was below the water.

"Well… I have an Imp form… the hair hand thing… gonna need a new name for that," Midna muttered to herself as she began walking away form the beach, her body surprisingly already recovered from her first transformation, "And I know that the Fused Shadow is out there… Gonna need to collect that before they fall into the wrong hands. If they can turn an eel and Deku Baba into those giant bosses, I do NOT want to know what would happen if they corrupted a Hero or got into the hands of a Villain… should I tell... No. Not unless I need to," Sighing she pulled out her phone and sent a text to Nezu, "Omw to deliver the scrap as the beach is now clean. Still no idea if my Inventory has a limit."

"I'll have a guide waiting for you at the gate," Nezu replied, putting her phone back Midna started the near two hour jog to U.A.

When Midna arrived, and the gate opened, the same kind of robot she saw the last time was waiting, "Identification Please," Holding out her ID, the robot scanned it, "Identified. Please follow me to Power Loader," It then turned and scuttered away with Midna following. They arrived at a miniature version of U.A.'s front gate with the word 'Support Lab 1-E' above it, "Please wait for a moment," The robot told her a few feet from the door. Midna was glad she did as when the robot opened the door an explosion from inside sent shrapnel through the now open space destroying the robot.

"Everyone alright?" A voice called out above the coughing of students but Midna could hear voices claiming no one was injured., "Oh shit the door's open…"

"Don't worry," Midna called, "Only thing that got hit on this side of the door was a robot and the wall."

A tall shirtless man wearing what looked like an excavator's bucket as a helmet, large fingerless gloves, bluejeans and heavy work boots walked out, his fingers having large orange 'L' shaped pieces of metal for fingertips, "Ah you must be Midna. Glad that the new protocol with the robots is doing its job. Don't worry about the explosion just now. One of the students' projects backfired which happens from time to time. So here to deliver some scrap?"

"Yes sir Power Loader-Sensei," Midna replied with a grin, "The beach is now clean of all scrap, vehicles, ovens, fridges and everything else that was dumped there!"

"Vehicles huh?" Power Loader said, rubbing his chin with a knuckle, "Those are always good to recycle. Lot's of parts we can use elsewhere, and you were able to bring it all in one go huh? That 'Inventory' I believe Nezu called it is useful. Give me a bit to sort everything out here, then I'll show you where to drop everything off."

"Got it Sensei!" Midna said with a thumbs up as Power Loader went back into the workshop. When he returned, he led Midna behind the labs, "So… why the spider legs on the robot Sensei? I get they help with the stairs but it's also a bit creepy."

Power Loader chuckled, "I thought the same thing, but the Third Year that designed them pointed out that the 'crab legs' as she calls them, are easier to build then human like legs," He shrugged, "I get what she means. Making a robot with human-like legs can be a pain to get the balance right, but worth it in the end in my opinion. Now let's see to all that scrap shall we?"

Author's Notes 2:

Kāchan= Mother

Kaachan= Bakugo

½ Prince is a Manwha I recommend. It's a fun read with how much chaos the MC's choice of making a male avatar causes XD

Sadako is named after the ghost from the ring. I felt that was fitting for this spooky themed family. Reiko's father's name Tamashii can mean "soul" but can also imply "restless spirit" or "vengeful ghost". For how I learned that… I simply looked up 'Japanese names with dark meanings' and looked through the options. This is the one I liked best.

To figure out the distance I'm just using a 'meter to feet' calculator. I hope I'm keeping the distances realistic. So Midna/Setsuna's normal jog distance is just around two miles, and considering they want to be heroes, it makes sense they'd be rather athletic.

What's this? Midna knows about the Light Spirits? Also when the Light Spirits do they're 'important' speeches, I'll pull on the game Okami and the various Constellation Kami for inspiration on speech patterns… mostly because I freaking LOVE that game.
