For four years
We weren't just a team though
But more like a family
Parents and three kids
And when Mel died,
I felt like the family
Was no more
So I decided to leave
Decided to hand in my resignation
Though I do regret not saying Goodbye
Properly
It was the right decision,
The right time
I needed to create distance
Between me and the team
And by removing myself from the unit
I did exactly that
I could never return to what was
My old family
The unit held too many memories
For me
I needed to move on
Move on without looking back
And I have done exactly that
